Ok that's enough browsing the stardew valley subreddit for today
One of the posts asked "which character do you connect with the least", and a few people said Elliott... which is fine that's their prerogative! But their reasoning was that he's "creepy" and gives them "incel vibes"??? Huh?? How on earth do people get that....
The dowsing spikes go crazy in an area close to the main entrance of Vernworth and I've been driving myself mad trying to find the chest - but I'm convinced it's bugged out? It flashes really fast right next to an open chest so idk 🤷♂️
here ^^^ it flashes the fastest inside the room with the open chest/in the alley next door. what am i missing?? 😭😭😭 (2nd pic for better understanding of location)
i want to know who actually reads these so if you have a valentine's ship you'd like to see a doodle for, comment it here (or send an anon ask if you're shy)!
i have a silly kuzudam one in the works already so i thought this would be a fun way to sate my curiosity
Kinda hate that sheogorath has become a meme version of himself. I don't hate the oblivion version of him, but they attempted to make a copy of that in skyrim and well, they didn't succeed. They stripped him of everything that made the oblivion incarnation fun. He lacks all the pizzazz of that version. No cane, no flair; the outfit is OK in a vacuum, but in comparison it is a boring skyrim equivalent. They didn't even try anything new, and Sheo is the perfect god to try new things with. He had an air of dignity in morrowind, he was "lol random"/alice in wonderland-esque in oblivion, you can't tell me they ran out of ideas after that.
Skyrim sheo is just. Sad. Washed out, washed up. He doesn't even have the cat eyes anymore :(
IT WAS ERIC AFTER ALL!!!! I'm so glad we got to meet him (before Vil snaps him away with those Infinity Gauntlets) (can't wait to see what happens when we get the matching Infinity Tiara to go with them, there will be no survivors)
(sorry to be so slow/rough lately, just got a lot of stuff on the ol' brain at the moment! alas, if only I could spend all my time drawing incredibly stupid characters I mean I do but)
The main reason for the decline of shoujo anime for me really is that girls/women will still consume shounen while boys/men will not consume shoujo as much, so for producers if you have to choose between a shoujo or a shounen you will go for the shounen because you know you will be able to get both audiences while with shoujo the audience will really be majorly female and you will be losing money from half your audience. And that is also why shounen these days incorporate a lot of shoujo tropes into their stories (ikemen, romcoms, etc.) but still do it in a way that is mostly targeted for boys (male protag, big boobs and heavy sexualization of female characters that is not as present in actual shoujo stories), they do it to make sure they will grab both audiences. That is not to say that seinen and shounen can't do great animes like these (just look at horimiya and skip to loafer), but it also means we get a lot of anime that is trying to do the same but in a very harmful and sexist way (just look at shows like rent-a-girlfriend and the millions of bad isekai that come out every season). So, shounen is stealing shoujo tropes and making them worse (most of the time), and we're eating that shit up simply because there is no actual shoujo coming out as often as it did before.
They separated on good terms after a few months because Ida wanted to start a family and not Constantine (for obvious reasons). Then, despite Ida's efforts to keep in touch as a long-distance friend, she quickly no longer received any news from him.
So when she sees him barely older and seeming lost in his town… she takes him for a ghost who has retained a very human appearance. She rushes to him because she is surely not the only one to notice the presence of a “tourist” in town.
She takes a minute to pity him and apologize. He hadn't ignored him, he was dead!!! Then start explaining to him why as a ghost it's not safe for him here even though it's very nice of him to visit <3
Constantine had not informed Ida about magic, after all it was one of his exes from before his cancer (a little near the time when he stopped responding to her) and his first triple sale of soul for escape death. But he knows Ida well enough not to contradict her. In addition, she gives him all the information in flash notes that he is looking for.
…
Okay, he also missed Ida. It felt SO strange to see her old. But she apparently hadn't lost anything from a mental point of view
This is how Constantine was invited to have tea and catch up on lost time at Ida's in addition to having a more complete debrief of the Amity Park situation
MORE obvious glowing eyes? I kind of liked it subtle, but I understand it's been difficult to tell on some pawns.
The adjustments to pawn behaviour is what I'm most interested in however. Blease.... can "wandering pawns" please stop forcing me to talk to them 😭😭 I feel like the frequency isn't even the issue, it's that they drag you into convo with them.
For context: I put my controller on my lap during the loading screen, reached over for my cup to take a sip, loading screen ended and I accidentally shouted Argis the Bulwark into Argis the Popsicle
everyone should read Dazai's Entrance Exam (the original Azure Apostle/Messenger arc) because the amount of changes they made when adapting the plot to fit it into 2 episodes in the present instead of the past cannot be covered without basically doing a full recap of the entire book.
The intrigue is built around the uncertainty of who the Azure Apostle is. Not in a "who could this person be?" way, but in a "oh no, could the azure apostle really be Dazai testing the ADA's limits?" way.
Dazai tagging along Kunikida during the investigation is his entrance exam. There is no trust established yet. Everyone is on edge. Dazai seems to know more than he should, but never shares. Fukuzawa gave Kunikida a gun and told him to shoot Dazai dead if Dazai turns out to be bad news and a danger to the ADA and the city.
You as the reader know Dazai will join the ADA. If you watched the anime you know the big lines and how things end. Or do you, really? So many things are different in this version, is the ending gonna be the same? Your knowledge barely settles your nerves.
Read it. It's good. It's honestly among Asagiri's best in terms of plot structure and foreshadowing. It's an actual mystery. You will like it.
