achilles would so call patroclus " my soul ", " my heart ", and anything like it because its true to him, pat was literally his heart and soul; when he died, so did achilles

So.i have thoughts for why in Memory Achilles is his young self in the underworld

I personally think that's because he never really grew up. It was all a facade a defence against all the assholes out to get him. It's mentioned in Who is this boy Patroclus says "all his defences gone and so like a child again" also in every either 1st or 2rd interlude(I can't remember now) Achilles says how they're scared I to growing up

Therefore I think that he's like that in the underworld cause he has nothing to be scared of anymore and can be his true self

Same thing about Patroclus (for those who haven't read the libretto at the end we can see Chrion, young Achilles and you Patroclus together in the underworld)

I could be wrong but that's just what I came up with

if your life was a book, what would you call the current chapter? departure (shaking crying throwing up) <- that is not part of the title

what's something you did recently that you're proud of? working, it's my first job and while it's not stressful i'm very socially awkward so it takes a lot for me to travel 2 hrs back and forth everyday and interact with new ppl in a new environment

what was your first dream job growing up? is it anything like the job you have now? i wanted to be an author and still want to, it's not like working with kids at all but it's just a summer job

what’s the name of the latest playlist you made? "grievous glory: patrochilles" i have to physically resist myself to not create a playlist based on whichever ship i'm brainrotting abt at the moment and as you can see it's bad. the name came from ppl suggesting achicleos is a more fitting name for them. grief of the people x glory of the father yknow.............
