asher and acne
○ teen asher who would be cursed with the most acne prone skin and had bouts of acne frequently
○ teen asher who would easily break out from stress, and being ash he would stress out in his mind but never tell someone, the only sign being his sudden break outs
○ teen asher who was made fun of for his acne, called names and constantly shamed for not using proper skincare
○ teen asher who, try as he might, could never find the right products that would work on his skin. in fact, nothing really did
○ teen asher who would wear skin colour discreet pimple patches or even steal his sister's make up to try to cover up as much of his acne as he could
○ teen asher who developed a skin picking habit out of anxiety, making his acne worse
○ teen asher who was so insecure about his acne, he would cover his face up in photos, and fixate on how prominent his acne was is any photos where it's shown
○ teen asher who never thought he would overcome his skin insecurity
~
● adult asher who has acne scars from picking his skin when he was younger
● adult asher who still feels slightly self conscious anytime someone mentions pimples
● adult asher who thought he'd never fully get over his anxiety about his skin, even when grown up
● adult asher who, upon meeting babe, saw them wearing bright starface pimple patches anytime they got a random pimple
● adult asher who thought it was so cool, having funky little stars dotted across their face, and how they didn't seem to hide the patches or shy away from his gaze on their skin
● adult asher who wanted so badly to have that level of confidence with something so attention-grabbing and bold from something he's still self conscious about
● adult asher who, after he got together with babe, sheepishly asked about those patches... could he try one on? just to see how it looked on him, like whether they suited him or not... if that was ok with them?
● adult asher who got compliments and praise from babe who happily lets him use the patches, saying how cute they were on him, how cool he looked, how well it matched with his style
● adult asher who started to wear the starface pimple patches in public anytime he broke out and felt insecure, needing to cover them up. and getting smiles from the pack when they saw him embrace this new look
● adult asher who eventually got comfortable with babe kissing his cheeks, kissing his acne scars, even his pimple patches. them calling him their starboy
● adult asher who feels like maybe having pimples and acne scars isn't so bad anymore

Peace Out Pride Limited Edition Acne Healing Dots
I like using the regular Peace Out Acne Healing Dots overnight, so I tried these pride ones overnight as well. Both versions are equally effective, though the adhesive on the pride ones is slightly weaker and the patch itself is slightly thinner.

How can deal with acne?
Here are some tips to manage acne
Dealing with acne effectively involves a combination of good skincare habits, treatments, and lifestyle adjustments. Here are some tips to manage acne and promote clearer, healthier skin:
1. Follow a Gentle Skincare Routine
Cleanse Twice Daily: Use a mild, non-comedogenic cleanser morning and night to remove excess oil, dirt, and makeup without irritating your skin.
Moisturize Daily: Even oily skin needs hydration. Choose a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer to keep your skin balanced and prevent it from producing more oil.
2. Use Acne-Fighting Products
Salicylic Acid: A gentle exfoliant that helps to unclog pores and reduce inflammation.
Benzoyl Peroxide: Kills acne-causing bacteria and reduces oil production. Start with a lower concentration (e.g., 2.5%) to avoid irritation.
Tretinoin (Vitamin A Derivative): Promotes skin cell turnover and helps prevent clogged pores. Prescription-strength Tretinoin (like A Ret 0.025% Gel) is effective for moderate to severe acne but should be used under a dermatologist's guidance.
3. Avoid Touching Your Face
Avoid picking or squeezing pimples, as this can lead to scarring and spread bacteria, making acne worse.
4. Use Non-Comedogenic Makeup and Sunscreen
Opt for products labeled "non-comedogenic" to avoid clogged pores. Sunscreen is especially important, as it protects against hyperpigmentation and irritation, particularly if you’re using acne treatments that make your skin more sensitive to the sun.
5. Eat a Balanced Diet
Foods high in sugars and dairy have been linked to acne flare-ups in some people. Focus on a diet rich in vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, and whole grains, and drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out.
6. Manage Stress
High stress can cause hormonal imbalances that lead to acne. Incorporate stress-relieving practices like exercise, meditation, or hobbies into your routine.
7. Consult a Dermatologist if Needed
If acne is severe, persistent, or causing scarring, a dermatologist can recommend stronger treatments like oral antibiotics, hormonal treatments, or retinoids for better control.
Managing acne takes patience and consistency. With a well-rounded approach that includes good skincare habits, acne-specific products, and a healthy lifestyle, you can significantly improve your skin’s health and appearance over time.

Guys. For some reason? For the first time in over 10 years, what I think are blisters - or soon to be blisters - formed at the bottom of my feet. What the fuck do I do with them?
I am at dorm and I have none of the usual stuff you use to treat them and my heel currently hurts too much to walk on it to the store where I know they 100% have something to treat it with. Would a hydrocolloid pimple patch work? That's the only thing I have here

3 Types of Patches for Acne and Pimple Treatments
Hydrocolloid patches have been used by doctors for many years to treat open wounds.
These patches consist of three layers:
Adhesive Layer: The layer that sticks to the skin.
Hydrocolloid Layer: This middle layer contains ingredients that act as “gunk magnets,” pulling out impurities from open pimples and acne.
Outer Layer: The thick, visible layer that holds the patch together.
What Do Hydrocolloid Patches Work On?
These patches only work on open pimples (with white heads) and acne. They are not effective on closed pimples or blackheads.
How Do They Help?
Hydrocolloid patches speed up the healing process by:
Removing gunk: The hydrocolloid layer pulls out impurities, making it easier for new skin to heal.
Protecting against UV rays: They provide partial protection against UV rays, preventing further inflammation and damage.
Retaining moisture: These patches help the skin retain moisture, which is essential for healing.
Preventing bacterial infection: They protect the area from environmental bacteria and contaminants.
Preventing skin picking: The patch discourages you from touching or picking the area, reducing the risk of further inflammation, scarring, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Important Note
Not all patches are beneficial for healing. Some may even worsen the area, which I’ll discuss later in this video.
The Three Types of Patches
1. Plain Hydrocolloid Patches
These are simple hydrocolloid patches without additional skincare ingredients. The hydrocolloid layer does most of the work by pulling out gunk from the open pimples or acne.
Product Recommendations:
Derma Do Invisible Patches
PM Overnight Patches
COSRX Acne Pimple Patch
Hero Mighty Patch
NE Scale Patches
Bodywise Hydrocolloid Patch
Patches to Avoid: Gush Patches, which contain citrus oils and fragrances—ingredients that can irritate inflamed areas.
How to Use:
Cleanse your face thoroughly.
Apply the patch directly to the pimple or acne area, without applying any skincare products underneath the patch.
After applying the patch, you can gently apply skincare products to the rest of your face, but not over the wound or patch.
2. Hydrocolloid Patches with Skincare Ingredients
These patches contain additional ingredients like salicylic acid, tea tree oil, botanical oils, hyaluronic acid, or benzoyl peroxide. The idea is to deliver healing ingredients directly to the affected area.
Some patches have both a hydrocolloid section and skincare ingredients, while others may just have the skincare ingredient without the hydrocolloid part.
Important Points:
Skincare ingredients in patches are more concentrated than when applied to the entire face or as a spot treatment. Therefore, a lower concentration is recommended.
Avoid patches with botanical oils or tea tree oil, as sealing these ingredients on an inflamed area can cause irritation.
Hyaluronic acid patches are beneficial as they hydrate the skin.
How to Use:
Cleanse your face.
Ensure no skincare product is applied under the patch.
Place the patch directly on the clean, affected area.
Product Recommendations:
Numa Pimple Patch
Peace Out Skincare Patch
3. Hydrocolloid Patches with Microneedles
These are similar to the second type but contain tiny microneedles that help push the skincare ingredients deeper into the skin. The microneedles are painless.
Important Points:
Avoid patches with botanical oils or tea tree oil, as they can irritate the skin.
Stay away from patches containing perfume, as fragrance can aggravate the area.
Product Recommendations:
Mighty Patch
ZitSticka
Dermaco Microtip Patch
Final Warning About All Three Types of Patches
Remember, these patches don’t treat acne directly; they aid in healing by creating a safe environment for recovery. They are also useful for mosquito bites, as they prevent you from scratching the affected area, helping it heal faster.

I hate acne. Not that I care about it on others or see it as anything other than a normal thing that happens based on a variety of circumstances. I just get cystic acne and wish it didn’t hurt like a fucking bitch even when I don’t touch it.
