Indonesia: A Global Tourism Destination
Indonesia, a Southeast Asian country comprising thousands of volcanic islands, is rapidly emerging as a global tourism destination. With its diverse landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and warm hospitality, Indonesia offers a unique and unforgettable travel experience. From pristine beaches to lush rainforests, ancient temples to vibrant markets, this archipelago has something for every traveler. In this article, we will explore the reasons why Indonesia has become a must-visit destination for tourists from all over the world.
Natural Wonders and Breathtaking Landscapes
Indonesia's natural beauty is a mesmerizing tapestry of stunning landscapes that never fails to captivate travelers from around the world. This Southeast Asian gem is blessed with an abundance of natural wonders that leave visitors in awe of their sheer magnificence.
One of the iconic natural attractions in Indonesia is the world-famous rice terraces of Bali. These terraced fields, meticulously carved into the hillsides, present a breathtaking sight. The emerald-green paddies cascading down the slopes create a harmonious blend with the surrounding landscapes, offering a picturesque backdrop for photographs and a serene ambiance for those who wish to immerse themselves in nature's embrace.
Another majestic wonder that showcases Indonesia's natural grandeur is Mount Bromo, situated in East Java. This active volcano is a sight to behold, with its ethereal landscapes and dramatic sunrises. Trekking up the mountain before dawn rewards adventurers with a breathtaking view as the rising sun paints the sky in hues of pink and orange, casting a golden glow on the volcanic peaks and the sea of clouds below.
Indonesia is also renowned for its pristine beaches that beckon sun-seeking travelers from far and wide. Bali, with its postcard-perfect shorelines, is a paradise for beach lovers. The famous Kuta Beach offers a vibrant atmosphere with its bustling beach clubs and energetic surf scene, while the nearby Seminyak Beach is known for its luxurious resorts and upscale dining options. Lombok, an island located east of Bali, boasts stunning white sand beaches like Selong Belanak and Tanjung Aan, which offer a tranquil escape from the crowds. The Gili Islands, a trio of small islands off the coast of Lombok, are renowned for their crystal-clear turquoise waters and thriving coral reefs, making them a haven for snorkelers and scuba divers.
For wildlife enthusiasts, a visit to the world-renowned Komodo National Park is a must. This UNESCO World Heritage site is home to the legendary Komodo dragons, the largest lizards on Earth. These prehistoric creatures, with their menacing appearance and impressive size, roam freely on the islands of Komodo and Rinca within the national park. Observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat is a thrilling experience that offers a glimpse into the ancient past.
But Indonesia's natural beauty extends far beyond its rice terraces, volcanoes, beaches, and Komodo dragons. The country is also blessed with lush rainforests that teem with biodiversity. The jungles of Sumatra and Borneo are home to remarkable wildlife, including orangutans, tigers, elephants, and a myriad of exotic bird species. Exploring these dense forests, either on foot or by taking river cruises, provides an opportunity to witness the wonders of the natural world up close and personal.
Additionally, Indonesia boasts numerous stunning waterfalls, each with its own unique charm. Tegenungan Waterfall in Bali cascades gracefully into a natural pool, inviting visitors to take a refreshing dip amidst the lush greenery. Meanwhile, Madakaripura Waterfall in East Java is a hidden gem nestled in a narrow canyon, surrounded by towering cliffs that create a magical and mystical atmosphere.
Indonesia's natural beauty is a true testament to the awe-inspiring wonders of our planet. From the captivating rice terraces of Bali to the majestic peaks of Mount Bromo, from the pristine beaches of Lombok and the Gili Islands to the prehistoric Komodo dragons of Komodo National Park, this country offers a diverse array of natural attractions that leave travelers speechless. Exploring the remarkable landscapes, encountering unique wildlife, and witnessing the power and tranquility of Indonesia's natural wonders is an experience that will undoubtedly create lasting memories for anyone fortunate enough to visit this global tourism destination.
Rich Cultural Heritage
Indonesia is a melting pot of diverse cultures and traditions. The country's cultural heritage is deeply rooted in its history and is reflected in its architecture, arts, music, and festivals. The ancient temples of Borobudur and Prambanan in Central Java showcase the impressive architectural and artistic achievements of Indonesia's past. The traditional dance performances, such as the Balinese Legong and the Javanese Ramayana Ballet, provide a glimpse into the country's vibrant artistic traditions. Travelers can also immerse themselves in local customs and traditions by participating in traditional ceremonies or visiting local villages, offering a truly authentic cultural experience.
Adventure and Outdoor Activities
For adrenaline junkies and outdoor enthusiasts, Indonesia offers a wide range of thrilling activities. The country's diverse landscapes provide the perfect backdrop for adventure sports such as surfing, diving, hiking, and white-water rafting. Bali, known as the "Island of the Gods," is a surfer's paradise, attracting wave riders from all over the world. The pristine waters surrounding the islands of Komodo and Raja Ampat offer incredible diving and snorkeling opportunities, allowing visitors to explore vibrant coral reefs and encounter a rich diversity of marine life. The challenging hikes to Mount Rinjani in Lombok or Mount Ijen in East Java reward trekkers with breathtaking views and unforgettable experiences.
Culinary Delights
Indonesia's culinary scene is a gastronomic delight for food lovers. The country's cuisine is a fusion of diverse influences, including Malay, Chinese, Indian, and European flavors. From the famous rendang (a slow-cooked meat dish) to the spicy sambal (a chili-based condiment), Indonesian cuisine tantalizes taste buds with its rich and aromatic flavors. Exploring the local food markets, such as the bustling Pasar Baru in Jakarta or the vibrant Ubud Market in Bali, is an excellent way to sample a variety of traditional dishes. Indonesian street food, with its affordable prices and mouth watering flavors, is also a favorite among both locals and tourists.
Warm Hospitality
Indonesians are known for their warm and welcoming nature. The genuine hospitality and friendliness of the locals leave a lasting impression on visitors. From the moment you step foot in Indonesia, you are greeted with smiles and open arms. The local people are always willing to help and share their culture, making tourists feel at home in this tropical paradise. Whether it's a homestay in a traditional village or a luxury resort on a secluded island, Indonesian hospitality ensures that every traveler's needs are met and their experiences are memorable.
Conclusion

Molecule 05 by Escentric Molecules
I’m sorry, but I feel compelled to provide you, my audience, with a bit of background information about my first experience with this alluring, potent perfume. I’ll try to keep it brief, but I do believe that the details I provide may help more clearly explain this one-of-a-kind fragrance.
When I was nineteen years old, I was engaged to be married. This was not a marriage of love. No, it was anything but. My great-grand aunt had arranged this union betwixt myself and a miserable wretch who I will call Gurnip because that is their name.
Gurnip was my great-grand aunt’s neighbor’s only surviving child. My aunt had taken Gurnip into her care after her parents had jumped into an active volcano. I never did uncover all of the details about their strange deaths, but from what I can tell, it was a sort of sex fetish or something. Whatever the cause of their consensual plunge into one of the earth’s hottest orifices, the two lovers perished in a splash of liquid rock and left their only offspring, the horrible Gurnip, in my great-grand aunt’s care.
The two dissolved freaks had left meticulous instructions for Gurnip’s upbringing and, my great-grand aunt being the person she was, she felt compelled to follow their detailed rules as best she could. This meant that Gurnip was homeschooled, not allowed to wear makeup or eat baked goods, and was to be married to me on her twentieth birthday.
I will keep this as short as I can and spare you the awful details of how I tried my best to escape from this marriage. I won’t go on and on about how I stole a boat and attempted to sail for Christmas Island. I’ll skip the part where I faked my own death. I won’t bore you with the tales of adventure I faced on the high seas.
Instead, I’ll simply say that I was eventually captured and brought back to the mainland where my betrothed sat waiting for me. I had given up hope. I knew that I would, from that day on, be forever entwined with the truly awful Gurnip. My life was over. I felt a deep, all-consuming sadness within me.
As I marched down the aisle toward the altar, I felt as though I might faint but I somehow managed to keep my wits about me. I choked back my tears of utter sadness and waited for Gurnip to join me and ruin my life forever. I stood there for what felt like several minutes. The church was silent. There was no music. There were hardly any attendees.
After some time, the officiant lost his temper and walked up the aisle to try and find Gurnip. As he passed me, I found myself enrobed in a unique, potent odor the likes of which I had never experienced before. I chased after him as he exited the church and, after catching him, I asked what it was that I had smelled. With a soft, gentle smile he turned to me and told me that it was none other than Molecule 05 by Escentric Molecules. I thanked him for this information and the two of us decided to split up and search for Gurnip. I soon found her near a bush. She had been almost entirely devoured by seagulls.

I was wondering if you could write more about reader riding stiles face? Tysm!!!
Absolutely! Thank you for asking!
I feel like this would be something Stiles has dreamed about ever since he saw it during his porn adventures before he started dating his girlfriend. Realizing that he finally has someone to experiment with made him jump for joy (literally).
Of course, he'd talk to her about it first, making sure that she's ok with it, but his eagerness would be practically clawing its way past the respectful tone he's trying so hard to use. He's very adamant about being a gentleman, though hope shines in his eyes like he's a little boy begging for a new toy.
When she says yes, his lips are on hers in an instant, giving her a passionate kiss of gratitude. He's excited - in more ways than one.
I definitely believe that he would insist that she sits facing him so that he can look up at her face and catch every little reaction. In fact, I doubt he'd be able to look away.
During the act, he'd be insatiable. Stiles would moan against her cunt, having no shame about how loud he's being, even though she's the one who feels like a fucking active volcano.
And his hands, oh, his hands... They'd grip her hips tightly, keeping her secure and on his face. He doesn't want her to squirm away, not until he's done with his meal. Yeah, he doesn't care how many times she cums, he's the one who will decide when it's time for her to get up, and trust me, it'll be a while. She'll be gripping his bedframe for dear life, trembling as she feels another wave of pleasure start to build.
His tongue is a master at work, reaching places inside her it never has before, thanks to the new angle. The way it would bend and swirl - she'd be dizzy just at the thought. Although he'd be trying his best to devour every drop she gives him, his drool and her cum would still slide down his face and neck, pooling on the sheets beneath him.
What a dream...

some fun Guardians of Azuma tidbits from the Famitsu interview with Director Shiro Maekawa:
Maekawa & Producer Hisashi Fujii apparently got into a Lot of arguments during game planning lol. they seem to have mostly been about when & where to keep things the same as they were in previous RFs vs trying new things and innovating
the goal for Azuma was to return to the RPG-focus of RF the series was originally designed to establish, as they felt it was drifting a little too closely to Bokumono in more recent entries and wanted to experiment with adventure RPG features / emphasise that vibe before 6 came out so that the transition in feel between 5 and 6 wasn’t too overwhelming
The OST for the game was recorded by a live orchestra, which was the idea of the game’s composer Noriyuki Asakura
Mauro’s airship is just directly the one from RF4, albeit remodelled. [Not part of the interview: he is also apparently the De Sainte-Coquille of the game]
Iroha was named after the poem “The Iroha” (いろは), as a reference to her being effectively the Tutorial Character who “teaches the protagonist the ABC’s of the game”
Matsuri is the general staff favourite character! (She’s also Maekawa’s pick for a favourite.)
Kurama is a gamer. Literally described as a “game nerd & homebody” type.
Kai was designed with the intent of being “the most handsome male character” to emphasise the reveal involved in his removing his mask LOL
The gods all have full names — Ulalaka’s is “Harunoulalakanahinomikoto,” or “ハルノウララカナヒノミコト” (“spring is coming”).
Subaru & Kaguya both being available in the story (and marriable) was directly inspired by Oceans, as Maekawa said he liked the concept there & thought it was a bummer it hadn’t been in 4 or 5
Maekawa directly brought up same-sex marriage being available #ally
The four seasonal villages available in the game have their own specific village levels / rankings that can be improved to unlock new features and things like crafting recipes (similar to, say, SoS Trio of Towns’ town ranking feature). one example they used was the volcano near Summer Village becoming active & being usable as a hot spring source once you level the village up enough
They’ve added up / down as aiming & fighting directions for battle, as well as ranged combat (both of these being what bows and talismans were added for). Bows are manual aim & talismans are automatic aim
Overall it’s a game the team is very, very proud of & that they’re excited to share with fans! They got a lot of feedback from staff in different departments who acted as playtesters & went over everything until they were proud enough of the product to describe themselves as such.
#was a rly fun interview! but also So Fucking Long big boy#rune factory#rune factory guardians of azuma#bri.txt#someone should teach kurama how to play fortnite

You know what I would kill to see?
Nedzu, in the Zone.
He IS a registered Hero, after all. He probably gets calls for missions. Failing that, he's still legal allowed to intervene. Like, say, if some poor four year old were losing their shit? Got separated from their mommy, their headache, which has been getting Ochier ALL DAY has finally gotten Really REALLY bad... and they... they just CAN'T! So they melt down.
Whoops. Four year old with portals.
In a crowd.
Luckily he, Mr. Principle, is a "cute" looking sort of Hero. And as an educator, well trained in de-escala-*CRASH!* Some jackass glory chasing young thing, with no care for innocent lives around them, smashes onto the scene. Terrifying the poor child. Which obviously makes their non-existent control WORSE.
Starts throwing the word "villian" around.
Nedzu is going to EAT his license in front of him.
The poor thing is hyperventilating, crying, clinging desperately to Nedzus suit. Things are being flung from portals. Sucked into portals. He's seen no less then 53 SEPERATE dimensions on the other side of those rifts. At least two were to the open void of space.
He narrowly dodges a portal straight into the heart of a volcano. Can feel the blistering heat singe his fur. Alumni from HIS school, at least, have arrived to actually SAVE people. Get the crowd away from the danger zone.
And to think, all he wanted was some tea.
How this MORON doesn't recognize him, he has no idea. His graduates are actively SHOUTING his identity, for heavens sake. Yet the glory hound continues to chase his so called "villians" at the expense of everyone around him.
He's about to throw the boy to a near by police officer, to get to safety, when the worst occurs. The tract of land he was about to push off of disappears beneath them. The boy's mother screams. He activates High Specs, world slowing as his mind rushs. Twisting, he throws the boy high.
The portal closes before he can see if it is Eraserhead or Cementoss who will be the one to catch him. The odds were 68.3% in Eraserhead's favor. He hopes... Aizawa, does so take these things quite hard, he hope he will not blame himself.
There was no way to catch him in time.
He was already gone.
Gravity arrests, slowing to a drifting meander. The air thick with something the burns his sensitive nose. Green. Everything is a very peculiar green. This is not a planets or if it is, it is countless times larger then Earth. A gas giant of some sort? There does not appear to be a horizon.
In the distance, an almost stereotypical spaceship changes destinations. Now aiming right for him. It seems aid might be on the way. With nothing better to do, he waits. They slow to a stop, a hatch opens, and... oh? A young Hero student! Hello there young man! I am Mr. Principle of the illustrious UA!
And just? Danny? Trying to return this small furry alien guy back to his alien hero school? Getting the run around and "hmmmm, let me look that uuuup *takes forever* yeeeeah, soooorry. You're in the wrong department. You'll have to fly like three days to this OTHER department, fill out 260 forms, and dance for our amusement. Byeeeee~"
Like? He just wants to get this guy HOME! Why are you all LIKE THIS!?
All while Nedzu is " :) My, this is FASCINATING. I am learning new things, battling wits, learning new languages, AND guiding a promising young mind towards a future of Better Heroics? Delightful! This is practically a vacation!"
He even stops by the Fentons for dinner. Some fudge. A little light destruction of Goverment branches on the side. Just? A Grand ol adventure of Nedzu.
Danny suffers through bureaucratic hell. But Nedzu? The most mentally stimulated he's been in years. His crops are watered and his fur is groomed. Thriving! New toys!
Then?? He just... shows back up to work.
How did he return? Where has he been?? Who is this glowing green Hero Child groaning face down on his very expensive carpet? *sips tea* wouldn't YOU like to know, weather boy! *maniacal Nedzu laughter*

The Slightest Ones bard song:
Arlathan fell so deep onto the ocean floor
Dalish elven lore:
"It is said that the Tevinter magisters used their great destructive power to force the very ground to swallow Arlathan whole"
The Adventures of the Black Fox by Gaston Gerrault:
"The stories all agree that, at some point, the Black Fox disappeared: He and his fellow adventurers voyaged into the heart of the Arlathan forest seeking the sunken city of the elves and never returned"
Solas dialogue:
"Imagine [...] palaces floating among the clouds."
Codex entry: Vir Dirthara: Homecoming
"a city of glass spires so deeply blue they ache. The city's outskirts are wrapped in lakes of mist, and figures stroll along the pearly, glowing strips as if they walked on solid ground [...] other elves walk below a river churning along an invisible shoal in the air."
Tevinter tries to mimic some ancient elvhen magic and Minrathous has a floating castle.
Location in Dragon Age: The Veilguard -
Arlathan Crater: one, two, three
Definitions of "crater":
- a landform consisting of a hole or depression on a planetary surface, usually caused either by an object hitting the surface, or by geological activity on the planet - a bowl-shaped pit that is formed by a volcano, an explosion, or a meteorite impact
Was the city of Arlathan a floating city kept aloft by ancient elvhen magic in a way that was intrinsically dependent on the presence of the Fade, and when the Veil was erected, with that tie severed it crashed to the ground like an asteroid? Did the ground swallow it whole? When Solas created the Veil, in that reshaping of reality was it physically spacetime-displaced deep into the heart of the Fade? When he made the Veil, did it "fall" (warp) into the Deep Roads like the elven library found by Genitivi in Genitivi Dies in the End? Did it fall to the bottom of the ocean? Did it fall into the other ocean, the Fade (the "Waters of the Fade", "the sea of dreams", the "emerald waters", "vast oceans, containing not water, but memories")? The Fade sort've reflects reality and is shaped by dreams, so is The City [by this I mean The Golden/Black City] the Fade-mirror-image or echo of Arlathan as opposed to literally physically it? the wild and fun thing about Dragon Age is that more than one of these things could be true at once.
ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

HEYA WHO WANTS TO LEARN ABOUT GRASS AND VOLCANOES
Yes I'm alive and yes I'm making posts and music again. Ok so moving on HAVE YOU SEEN THIS GRASS???
This patch of grass is from a Youtube video by Quincyvhs ranking grass in Tears of the Kingdom. He's a cool guy and has a similar video on Breath of the Wild and I highly recommend you watch it cause his editing is very cool.
HOWEVER. He made an egregious error today by ranking this patch of grass, this lovely, magnificent, extraordinary patch of grass upon Death Mountain as a mere B Tier. It clearly is an S Tier.
How do I know this? Well this patch of grass indicates miracles. It indicates determination. It indicates the spirit of adventure, of change, of liberty and mayhaps even the purest form of happiness the world round...
...and as later corroborated by the actual geologist that I am dating, it is an indication of the massive shift in Hyrule's ecosystem and climate.
Let's Begin.
Using my ace detective skills I have located the site in question in both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom (Botw and Totk). The general consensus is that there is a 5~ year time gap between the two games.
Given that the grass does not exist here in Botw, this means that this patch of grass took at maximum 5 years to grow. However, I'm going to prove that it probably took even less time than even that.
Below is the site on Botw's Map:
We are unable to get an accurate temperature reading of the area because the Sheikah Slate decided to give up. So we're going to use science to determine this soon to be important number
Given that wood near instantly ignites at this location in Botw, we can conclude that the temperature in the air is around 370 degrees Celcius or 700 degrees Fahrenheit.
Now typically, rock and soil serve as good insulators of heat, so the air temperature around a volcano itself isnot usually that much higher than the ambient temperature (unless you are actively within a Pyroclastic flow, which would be a more pressing problem than analyzing grass to say the least)
However, when near the presence of lava, that temperature of the air can actually reach up to 1000 degrees Celcius (1800F) so this reading is actually even more reasonable when you note that we are in good distance of the Medingo Lava Pool.
Conversely, we can actually grab an active temperature reading of the area during the time of Totk thanks to the Purah Pad.
It's 102 degrees Fahrenheit.
Easy. Simple. Fantastic. I love when my job doesn't require four hours of research for every single question!
Anyhow, here are some figures from the Oregon State Volcanology Laboratory on the rate of lava cooling
Yes this post is still about grass, stay with me.
To truly appreciate the glory of science and the glory of this patch of grass, we are going to calculate the exact amount of time needed for the temperatures to lower on Death Mountain to one sustanable for growth (That being around 100 degrees Farenheit).
SPOILER ALERT: It takes less than 5 years. This is insanely impressive considering grass of this type* typically takes DECADES.
Anyhow, The Figure 2 and 3 have to do with the depth of the lava, and Figure 4 deals with the thickness. (Many thanks again to my partner for providing their geological expertise and resources)
The thickness of the Medingo Lava is very easy to calculate given that Link can literally jump in with a splash and drown in it like the world's worst hot tub--the bitch ain't thick at all. So we use the lowest listed reading for that.

The depth of the lava is more tricky, but comparing the lava pool in Botw and Totk, and using Link as a marker of around 5 feet, we can say that the pool is around 10 feet deep.
Therefore, the Medingo Lava Pool took around 2-3 years to cool after Death Mountain stopped erupting.
Now when exactly did Death Mountain stop erupting?
According to the catalog of Volcanoes of the World by the Smithsonian Institution, 93% of volcanos stop erupting within 3 years.
Now I know that Death Mountain only started erupting because of the return of the Divine Beast Vah Rudania, and Link only "stops" the eruption of Death Mountain by defeating it. So one could argue that Death Mountain's "eruption" had to be less than a year or something.
My rebuttal to that would be 1) Within the game's canon, I don't see how we could justify Link taking one day, or even one month to wake up from the Great Plateau, travel immeidately all the way to Death Mountain. and then tame the Divine Beast in less than a month, and 2) Link didn't really stop shit because we can clearly still see active lava flow after taming Rudania. He only stopped the rock falls caused by the Divine Beast, the actual activity of Death Mountain still continues.
Given its insane size, I am going to say it took the full 3 years for its active lava flow to stop on Death Mountain. Volconologists in the notes, feel free to correct me.
SO! The Timeline is:
3 years for Death Mountain to stop actively flowing
2 years minimum for Medingo Lava Pool to cool
= >1 year for temperatures to be right for grass to grow!
This is an insanely quick time period for grass to thrive! The literal instant that the conditions were correct, we are able to see not just grass, but stoloniferous grass as well other types of shrubbery thrive! We would usually need several years for the volcanic rock to erode to rich soil (such as the soil in the Akkala region)
Allow me to elaborate:
This is Fountain Grass. Fountain grass is usually the fist type of grass that you would see in a volcanic region. They grow from a rhizome root system, which is a very vertical downward root system as you can see. This is good for young volcanic regions where only specific dotted areas are good enough for plants to grip onto and grow.
They grow something like this:

This patch of grass below I would call some sort of rhizome. (Botanists feel free to correct me in the notes)
THIS. however. (amazingly) is an example of stoloniferous grass!
This is thick bladed grass (as opposed to the more thin, fine-bladed grass with rhizomes) that grow in a stolon spreading pattern that is much more horizontal. It's a lot like the grass that might grow in your front lawn, if you're rich enough to have one of those in this economy--
They grow a bit more like this:
This type of grass need soil! Especially if we want to classify that other red flower behind the rock there as some sort of volcanic flower
We're basically talking about mass, rapid volcanic erosion in less than a year for this to happen. For context, the soil necessary for the region of Akkala to grow could have taken anywhere between a decade to thousands of years. The weather and erosion necessary for this patch of grass to grow took, at most, 3 years.
And all this in the period of time following an actual apocalypse. How quickly the tides have turned for Hyrule's ecosystem!!!!
IT'S A VERY IMPRESSIVE AND COOL PATCH OF GRASS AND THUS IS DESERVING OF THE S TIER RANKING
Also here's some behind the scenes of what my much smarter than me partner had to say about it ["Last pictures referencing the rhizome grass which, indeed, would be the oldest grass among the patch given it needs the least specific conditions to thrive/less soil to get started]
Growth is cool.

I don’t think it should be a hot take when I say that Jonathan Kent should never have aged up. This isn’t about who is shipping whom, because I’d be genuinely surprised if even JonJay fans disagreed with me on this.
Let’s actually consider this: if Jon had not been aged up, how would any of his storylines and adventures have changed overall? Sure, yes, there would be a few tweaks, but would Jon’s age have prevented the events of The Legion of Super Heroes, Superman Son of Kal El, Dark Crisis and storylines afterwards. I dare even say it would have made those storylines and Jon’s character so much better.
Let’s go on this rabbit trail here for a second. Even if you liked Son of Kal El and maybe even shipped JonJay. If Jon had never aged up, stayed on Earth age 10, maybe grew to be 11 and met Jay at that point in time, it can go two ways: either Jay would be written the same age as Jon (11 years old) or Jay would still be 18ish and Jon would just have a one-sided crush on an older guy. Either way, the idea would have been more interesting in exploring Jon’s sexuality at a time when he’s just starting puberty. Because he’s young, it would have given room for Jon to grow and develop. Even the Teen Titans under Damian explored his sexuality despite his crush being terrible imo. First love’s are likely to work better if the character is still a child or minor.
The problem comes down to Jon aging up to seven years in a few days. His character is now a shell of what he once was. Jon was already strong and developing. He was becoming his own little person separate from Superman. Hell, if we’re going to talk about making Jon diverse, he was already diverse and dealing with discrimination for being a mixed Kryptonian and human. He was hunted down by a Kryptonian clone of his dad to eliminate any “human impurities.” He was tricked and betrayed by his own hometown, who used alien cow’s milk to “protect him” from needing to be Superboy and as a result had hindered his powers from activating. Evil Tim’s Batman hunted him down to kill him because his human and Kryptonian genetics clashed hard enough for Jon to create a solar flare that was capable of destroying a part of the world. These are issues Jon deals with that are the equivalent of what children of mixed races go through such as health conditions, their own being skeptical of them because of the other half of their race from both sides and often being belittled for being a “half-breed.” Until Jon was aged up, he had to be checked by Batman himself because the Fortress of Solitude and regular human doctors weren’t capable of checking a half Kryptonian and Human child. Then, Jon got aged up and his health concerns and the discrimination conflicts from his own were thrown right out the window.
My point is that Jon’s character arc and conflicts were thrown out the window the moment he aged up. Sure, there are some good comics with Jon here and there like Tom King’s Super Sons’ Adventures in Babysitting, but for the most part, Jon’s character has been reduced to a clone of Superman. Whatever happened to Jon’s personality that came from his mother like his stubbornness, tamper and sassiness? Whatever happened to that Jon that led a bunch of demon dogs he rescued to save his parents? Whatever happened to the boy that went Emo over accidentally frying his pet cat to ashes?
I guess Jonathan Kent truly died in that volcano when he was sucked into a wormhole.

Hiii! Im obsessed with your coparenting megumi series. You write all the characters so well!! Are you planning on writing more for it? No pressure just curious! <3
hi anon, thank you for the love !!! and i absolutely will continue writing coparenting megumi, so here's a new little installment :)) hopefully it's not too late in the winter for ice skating <3
cw: swearing, fluff
in hindsight, you didn't expect them to get so invested in the winter olympics. you'd turned on the channel for megumi and tsumiki to watch while you made dinner, unaware of tsumiki's sudden fascination with the world of ice skating. megumi, ever the little brother he was, begrudgingly watched with his sister but took note of how her face lit up as the skaters danced across the ice. when she burst into the kitchen, slipping and sliding across the floorboards with her fuzzy snowman socks, she could barely sputter out what she wanted this weekend's adventure to be.
"i want to go ice skating," she declared after she caught her breath, grinning so widely that it'd probably hurt her cheekbones. "please." a moment later, megumi slides into the kitchen with half as much grace as his sister but still nodding as enthusiastically.
"where'd this come from?" you smile and tap the wooden spoon against the edge of the pot. "you wanna go to the olympics like the people on tv?"
"that's in the future," tsumiki says matter-of-factly. "first, i need to get more comfortable with balancing on one foot, like a ballerina."
"ballerinas also take classes," you point out. "do you wanna start taking skating lessons? i can talk to satoru and see if-" you're immediately cut off by frantic shouts of please! and i'll do the dishes for a year! that echo off of the cupboards and disturb the peace of your neighbors.
so here you were, freezing your ass off and crisscrossing your laces over the front of your ankle, tying it into a tight bow before checking on the kids. it'd been a few weeks since tsumiki started her lessons, and you were finally able to line up you and satoru's schedules for a free day to take the whole 'family' skating. tsumiki, as expected, is practically bouncing from excitement with her skates already laced and ready to go; megumi, on the other hand, stares at the supposed shoes of death and looks as apprehensive as an emperor penguin hiking an active volcano. though he was willing to watch skating with his sister, you found that getting him to step onto any uneven surface was nearly impossible. your boyfriend is nowhere to be found after mumbling something about dinner not sitting right in his stomach and racing to the bathroom, leaving you to help tsumiki drag her little brother onto the ice.
but, she's gone as soon as her blades hit the ice and it's like you threw a caught tuna back into the ocean. there's no hesitation in the flow of her feet as they propel her forward, carefully crossing over one another around a tight turn. she'd improved astronomically since the first lesson you brought her to, even going so far as to lift one of her legs slightly off the ground and continue to glide.
"are we sure this is safe?" megumi's mumbles are barely audible as he white-knuckle grips the edge of the walls, his feet slowly making unsteady progress. you skate alongside him, not as confidently as tsumiki but not as shakily as megumi. "how many people have died while ice skating?"
"i don't know, but i guarantee you will not be one of them," you reassure him while his left hand finds a home in your right glove. a quick glance around the rink reveals satoru nowhere to be found and tsumiki cautiously practicing a spin in the middle of the ice. "you're doing great, bud. just focus on yourself and don't worry about anyone else."
"what if they knock me over?"
"i won't let them knock you over."
"but what if they try?"
"megumi, you have survived scarier things than assholes at an ice rink. just-"
a whoosh! of cold air flies past your left shoulder and you're about to curse out whoever sped past you when you catch tsumiki with her hands raised in celebration, cheering. your eyes adjust and finally recognize the shape of your boyfriend speeding around the rink, weaving between couples and eventually coming to a hockey-stop right next to you. you're shocked, to say the least, and the first thing that comes out of your mouth after you laugh surprises him.
"what the hell are you wearing?"
"it's my skating gear," he replies, giving you a lopsided smile. "surprised?"
"incredibly," you snort, taking note of the way the long-sleeved compression shirt hugged his muscles and highlighted the shoulders you ever-so-lovingly liked to bite. you knew he'd skated when he could during high school, saying something about wanting his aesthetic to match his hair, but you'd dismissed the idea without a second thought. you guessed he was counting on you to doubt his skating ability. "i can't say i don't like it, though."
"ew," megumi mutters from behind you and satoru peeks over your shoulder to find his unofficial son continue to struggle on the ice.
"hey, bud! you doing okay?" satoru's question is met with another grumble and he shrugs, undeterred. "want me to give you a little bit of help?"
"absolutely not," megumi says adamantly, tightening his hold on your hand as one of his skates veers backward for a split second. satoru disappears without another word, finding tsumiki in the middle and bending down to whisper something in her ear.
you can't hear what they're saying, but whatever satoru says makes her gasp and race over to you and megumi. she hurriedly pries megumi's fingers from your hand and replaces it with hers, quickly saying something about taking over for you. before you can question it, satoru's hand is grabbing yours and lurching you forward, faster than you had ever skated before.
"holy shit! what are you doing?" you half-laugh, half-panic with no choice but to hold on to your boyfriend for dear life. it was exhilarating, moving so quickly with such ease, but you couldn't negate the dread of what would happen if you fell. "i can't skate this fast!"
"i'm making you skate with me, so we're gonna go as fast as i want us to," he replies with a smirk over his shoulder.
"i'm going to kill you if i trip," you swear, but he laughs it off immediately. "brutally."
"like i would ever let you fall," he murmurs. he positions himself at your side while you steady your shaking skates, slowing to a halt in the middle of the ice. with no wall of safety to be found, you maintain your death grip on satoru and hesitantly push yourself forward. "look at you go, pushing off all on your own." the tease in his voice was evident, but you were too busy trying not to eat shit to scold your boyfriend.
"shut up, satoru. i'm focusing." you let go of his hand and feel his patronizing gaze burn into the back of your neck, flinching when he suddenly cuts right in front of you. your flinch throws you off balance and you jolt forward, but he immediately grabs your forearms and sets you back on your feet.
"see? told you i'd never let you fall," he says quietly with a tiny smile that breaks through your frown of concentration. your expression softens and he notices, like he always does. "there you are. think you can forgive me for pulling you out on the ice?"
"as long as we don't go as fast as last time." he grins and locks his fingers in yours. "speed up and i'm gonna hide all your favorite compression shirts."
"oh, so it's serious," he chuckles, pulling you forward and letting you mirror the glide of his skates back and out, side to side. "that's okay," he concludes, leaning over briefly to peck your cheek. "i love you more than my compression shirts."
"what a statement," you deadpan lightheartedly and he shrugs.
"honestly, it's a pretty close competition-"
"alright, that's enough. shut up and skate," you interject and start to move a little faster, his hand in yours warm and safe. "we have to get good at this if tsumiki's headed to the olympics."
