A bit of an explanation under the break?

Sky and Pipit are 100% brothers and no one can convince me otherwise. They’re very close! This story takes place before the Zelda story. Here, Sky’s been merged for like three days at the most, and those three days were spent in Skykeep, defeating Demise (and literally everyone else) and then a long recovery (which is a battle in and of itself). So having this time to test his limits in a safe place with someone he trusts is very important!

I have many MANY more thoughts about Sky and Pipit’s relationship that are currently being condensed into a fic (hopefully I’ll be able to get it all written out soon) but for now, I hope this is enough!

It had been the topic of many long conversations after Aziraphale took Crowley’s hand in St. James Park, causing Crowley to freeze and break out in a cold sweat. Being discreet had always been their top priority. For 6,000 years, someone would have surely seen them if they embraced in the middle of London. But now, Aziraphale had assured Crowley, things were different. They no longer needed to hide, but Aziraphale would go as slow as Crowley needed him to. It was almost funny how their roles had switched after the apocalypse.

oooh there's so many amazing artists here! it's so hard to pick!!! arts by @mardyart and @lazylittledragon were the first Steddie ones i've seen, actually the first Steddie content i've seen, the ones to push me into the Steddie pit! lol so they've got a special place in my heart for that. Give me a 5 sentence Snake/Otacon AU where one is an cryptid please!

"Wait, I can explain."

Snake winces at the throaty growl of his voice - it's been a while since he's talked to anyone other than his dogs - but then tries to school his features into a harmless, open expression and suppresses the urge to reach out to the man in front of him.

The man takes a step back anyway - so much for appearing friendly.

Mentally, Snake is already compiling lists of things to pack, how quickly he can get his dogs settled and harnessed and he absolutely refuses to get distracted by the familiar weight of sadness creeping in at the thought of losing even this last connection to humanity - his email friendship with a man who was never supposed to find him in the middle of Alaska.

But then Otacon smiles and it's not a nervous smile or even a sympathetic smile, it's a smile full of enthusiasm and awe that only gets brighter when he reaches up and wipes the mist off his glasses, pushing them back up the slippery slope of his nose and takes in all of Snake.

"This is the best thing that's ever happened to me!"

Please be more careful about accidentally stealing tags, especially on reblogging original art posts!

I know tumblr is a trashfire and there's issues with the app and accidental tag stealing. I operate on a 'good faith' interpretation system. But while copied tags are vaguely weird when it's 'normal' tags, annoying when it's very personal tags, hilarious when it's a personal tagging system suddenly appearing on a different blog, it's just plain wrong when you reblog original art from the op and tags like 'my art' or 'I drew a thing' are copied over!

Sure, every dolt with half a brain will probably be able to figure out it wasn't your original art if you reblogged it but as we all know, this site unfortunately has too many dolts with less brain than that.

(edit: I've been informed that the iOS glitch means you can't see if the tags get copied before you hit reblog, which sucks majorly. But if you use that app, maybe just form a habit of checking your blog every now and then to see if anything got copied over you didn't want to get copied or give blanket permission to people to point those posts out for you)

So.

Please be vigilant to NOT EVER copy tags like 'my art,' 'my writing' etc.

My #1 post of 2022

It's worth it sometimes, you guys. I just got a comment on a five year old fic and I'm ready to cry:

"i thought of this fic again and had to come back and leave a comment on how impactful it has been to me. [...]"

This was not a person who had commented on this fic before. So, to me, this was a new reader but their comment makes it clear that they didn't just read the story and liked it but that they've read it before and it stayed with them. Which is really the highest praise I can think of.

So for anyone thinking about deleting a fic or orphaning it: don't. You take your chance away of getting a comment like this at some point down the road.

When the Heart Sings (Poem/Preview)

So I’ve been tinkering with an idea for a while now but I’ve been trying to get it all sorted out. I’ve finally gotten something of a storyline pieced together and will probably wind up working on it at some point in the near future.

The story will be inspired/based off of @naffeclipse’s Cryptid AU. But full disclosure here, I haven’t actually read it (I’ve made a resolution to not really go out of my way to read a lot DCA fanfiction’s while I’m still working on Rebranded. Just so I don’t get weird ideas that would make me rethink all of my planned content after writing nearly 100k for it). So when I say inspired, it is only inspired. Specifically through use of the various fanarts I’ve seen across my dash the past couple of months.

The planned fic will be 6 chapters, with the first 5 of them resolving around a poem (seen below) and the 6th chapter will include sexual content. The 5 segments based around the poem will be played as memories/flashbacks of Eclipse(Sun/Moon combined) and Y/N(Heart), and how those memories have shaped their relationship. The 6th chapter would be present tense, focused on the physical and emotional intimacy that Y/N(Heart) now shares with the Cryptids as a result of how those memories have changed them.

I finally put together the Poem that I’ll be using in the fic. I can’t promise when I’ll start writing it or if I ever actually will (projects die/get buried), but I can at least show off the Poem.

When the Heart Sings

When the heart sings in anger, it is a broken cry. A feral shout of bitter words that sends the mind awry. The every note a poison. The rhythm full of pain. A song of heated passion that never should be sang.

When the heart sings in sadness, it is a silent scream. A whisper of unspoken feelings desperate to be seen. When it hums, there’s anguish. The pleasant notes have died. Its passion swiftly falling like raindrops from the sky.

When the heart sings with compassion, it’s like a lullaby. Its voice is sweet and calming. Its sound a pleasant sigh. Most often when it starts to sing, a chorus will begin. Other hearts will sing in turn of love they hold within.

When the heart sings of love, it is a melody. The song will be distinct to you, as my song is to me. No two hearts sing the same in how they think or feel. Yet the joy they sing when singing love, is very, very real.

The heart is such a wonderous thing. I love its every song. Its anger, fear, pain, and joy. Its every note belongs. Yet there remains one painful fact. Every song will die. While I have you here with me, let your heart sing to mine.

Mari; poor girl deserves to be alive so she´s Frisk in this au, cause even if she dies she comes back for realsies. Also often in omoritale fanart i see Basil & Sunny are Chara & Asriel, I like that (and I see the undertale trio as sibs) so Mari being Frisk was just the logical conclusion for me. I see Mari as having an intergrity soul, but she´s possesed the player so it doesn´t matter (it fills you with intergrity). Also she has softball-bat instead of a stick. Does the pacifist route but is very snarky about it (also she sometimes hits hard with her bat). Is an orphan in this au, but gets adopted by the Dreemurs (which are her bio parents in regular omori). Basil Feldman-Dreemurr; yea Basil as Chara love it. Narrator Basil would be kinda funny to me since Chara is such a snarky character which i can´t imagine Basil basil being, instead I can totally see him just... rambling about things he did while being adopted by monster royalty... and being sad on how much changed since his death. In my au he climbed the mountain for the same reason as Chara (even if his parents don´t match my headcanon parents for Chara). Where is his grandma? Her death was the final straw for him to climb mt. Ebott. After getting adopted he changed his surname to his grandma´s since he wants to keep a piece of her alive with him.

Sunny Dreemurr; I thought of making him & the parents cats, but it be a waste of boss-monster design to do that. Also made his fur black to make him look diffrent from Asriel. Is semi-verbal in this au, so him bringing Basil to his parents was kinda akward, but they warm up pretty quickly.  Was a bit more hesitant to feed Basil poisionous flowers then Asriel to Chara, but does it anyway cause he can´t say no to his best-friend. Once ressurected he´s kinda like what he is in canon present-day omori, but his parents are like ¨OH HELL NO!!!¨ and actually bring him & Basil to therapy cause ¨Dear god our kids need it¨. 

Omori the Tulip; since Omori in this au is just Sunny with a self-loathing god-complex, he´s still semi-verbal and thus can´t speak for the entirety of the journey. He´s a lot more patient & ruthless than Flowey is since he doesn´t take the time to gloat (not like he can). Leaves cryptid notes tough.

also Sunny & Mari´s parents as Asgore & Toriel cause why not
