Here's to the autistics who are "way too aggressive". Here's to the autistics who get angry easily. Here's to the autistics who are impulsive. Here's to the autistics who have destructive meltdowns. Here's to the autistics who's anger ruins friendships/relationships. Here's to the autistics who can't control their emotions. Here's to the autistics who are bitter and mad. I see you, I love you (platonically), and I hope you have a great day.

I agree. I ask not because I am impatient but because I want to plan before I lose my wits.
Also, if I know a specific time frame then I know when to follow up--and not look impatient. If I followed-up after the time they told me and they get angry, well …
If they can not give a time frame, I ask if I can do something else somewhere else and just come back an hour or two or three later (and not fall in line again in some cases). If they say 'yes', that's cool. If they say 'no', I start to get uneasy … specially if there are too many people and it's noisy.

Buggy go through big autistic regression, and much changed.
Buggy is now verbalflux, but never fully verbal, always limited in speech
Buggy type different
Buggy can't handle be told "do"
Buggy uses AAC/TTS
Loud noise are to much
Much stimmies
Often meltdowns
Always understimmed or overstimmed
Can't talk to strangers
No eye contact unless person is loved greatly
More sensory "no"s
Thiis has has been very big hard for Buggy, as Buggy once was lvl1/low support needs but but here things help Buggy an may help you!
Breaking up text into paragraphs, points, numbers, etc
No/limited use of i/we/us/me
Headphones that dull sounds (not quite noise cancel, buggy needs always be acutely aware of surrounds and can no do that when no hear)
Breaking conjoined words to simple ie, Can't = can not / can no
Find AAC most comfy with
Find someone always near help with daily stuff
There more but Buggy's brain is bleh with serious right now
Bai bai

People underestimate how much it fucks you up to be subtly excluded as a kid. I would try to talk to my classmates and be met with disinterest or annoyance. The one friend I had, who I clung to and nodded along to his every word, had other friends he liked just as much or more. And his other friends didn’t care for me at all.
I look back at pictures from the time and see how separated I was from them. I remember knowing I was different. I remember posing questions about the world to the girls playing next to me and realizing that they had never asked the same ones to themselves. That the ways we thought couldn’t be more different.
I kept myself amused with my own fanatical stories and musings in my head. I would wander the playground on a circular path, imagining a friend and being sorely disappointed when it didn’t feel as real as I’d hoped.
There was a bubble separating me from everyone else, thin, and nearly invisible, but with a pearly sheen you could catch under the right conditions. I knew it was there, they knew it was there, and it changed me

the way people online talk about autism is getting really weird, like do they know that neurotypicals still have interests? that someone being passionate about a hobby doesn't mean they're autistic? you guys know that right

Seriously?! For real?!!
All this time whenever I use those words/phrases I meant it literally so I'm expecting the same when other people use it.
People I followed up must have been annoyed at me. T_T
Neurotypicals / non-autistics, why do you have such a complicated way of communicating? Why don't you just say whatever it is your want to say/mean?

a bottom-tier autistic experience is being told throughout your entire childhood that you are just an overthinker when it comes to social situations and later finding out that your friends did, in fact, hate being around you and tried to communicate that through weird little hints
