the heat blossoms in her chest when he does so. a frown forms on his handsome face, showing her that he isn’t playing around,

“want me to get her?”

his face lights up at that, turning around to face her before nodding with a smile,

she awes at that, who knew her husband could be such a huge softie?

“okay, be right back” she responds before walking away only to reappear back to his left side, fronting a wide grin,

“baby! how you doing?!”

miguel eyes light up once more, mirroring his wife’s smile before his hands reach out to her, arms wide open to invite her to a hug,

“my love! mi corazón ! beautiful beautiful querida! i am so happy you are here!” he sighs dreamily,

she giggles at his cute demeanor, accepting his embrace as he pulls her in, arms wrapped around her waist.

“there was this girl who wanted to take me home and I completely told her off because i said, ‘my wife! is here with me and i would appreciate it if you fuck off!’ “

she holds back a laugh at how silly and sassy he is putting on his scowl expression,

“really? well good riddance! she should’ve known better!” she pulls away and cradle his cheeks in between her hands, feeling him lean against her palm,

he nods, circling his hands around her wrists. “mi corazón te pertenece, ahora y para siempre. got you this far, didn’t i?”

if her heart could burst, it would in that moment. even in his drunken state, he still manages to front a lovesick gaze everytime he looks at her. to speak like a true poet and aim for her heart just like that,

so obviously kyle is an alien and as such i feel like the pigment of their skin is not a natural...human color. so i was thinking about shades of the sky and i was thinking about the teal jumpsuit so i settled on blue!

so to me, in alien form, kyle has blue skin ( sort of similar to mystique in xmen i feel like...probably an interesting skin texture? ) and i think all of their freckles are actually white? so they look like little stars ;-; their entire body just looks like beautiful night sky or blue sky with tiny clouds/sun spots...theyre like a living painting.

however...they are...insecure abt it but when kite visits stan and stan likes them more and more he says theyre really beautiful <333 :') ( them and their frecks ) and that he tells his super best friend, who is anxious abt their freckles that they look like constellations but that kite really is like The Sky haha

Just went to see Wish! Literally JUST came out of the theater about a few hours ago.

SPOILER WARNING, PROCEED WITH YOUR OWN DISCRETION

Reminder: these are my opinions on this movie. This is just a fun review I'm writing

Needless to say, this movie is a MASTERPIECE.

I'm not going to lie, it was too fast-paced and it could've been a lot longer (it was only an hour and 30 minutes, after all), and it re-used a lot of previous Disney material, I really expected it to be better; but that doesn't make it any less amazing!

It definitely wasn't what I expected, but it doesn't mean I love it any less 🥰

The animation was GORGEOUS. Literally STUNNING. I was in awe the entirety of the movie. LITERALLY IN AWE.

(I was among like 3 other people in the theater, so it was almost like I had the whole experience to myself! Not sure if I'm happy about it or angry that more people didn't come to watch it tho)

Okay now I'll get into the plot:

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The first few minutes of the movie, and I was already fangirling SO HARD. And within the first few MINUTES of the movie, I was CRYING. (You know a movie's good when the movie's barely even started and you're CRYING.)

THEY MADE THE OPENING A STORYBOOK OPENING 😭🥰❤️ (like the storybook openings in Cinderella, Snow White, Pinocchio, The Sword in the Stone, Enchanted, etc.)

I had to PHYSICALLY RESTRAIN myself from screaming (because of course I'm in public movie theater and I can't disturb the audience)

(As an actual ballet dancer, I loved how Disney accurately depicted the dancer in the storybook, not with a frilly tutu and pointe shoes with ribbons tied way too high above the knee. Cuz as a dancer I can confirm that that "stereotypical" ballerina appearance is not how we dress at all and Disney depicted the dancer more accurately! And they had the dancer in a gorgeous purple!!!)

And I was freaking out seeing all the songs and their fully animated scenes. (There were literally only like 3 other people in the theater so I sung the songs and I wasn't disturbing the experience for anyone at all while doing it, so that was fun) I FREAKED OUT during "Welcome To Rosas"

"AT ALL COSTS" WAS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! A villain-heroine duet was an interesting choice for this song; and the lyrics had so much meaning behind them (Asha's words being genuine, and Magnifico's being for his own desires)

STAR IS SO ADORABLE!!! I can't say it enough, STAR IS SO ADORABLE I LOVE HIM SM ❤️ I CRIED when Star got sucked into Magnifico's staff (but thankfully he was okay in the end!)

I can't say it enough, "This Wish" was BEAUTIFUL I love it sm!!! Ariana DeBose performed it BEAUTIFULLY. So perfect 😭

And there were so many twists in the plot that made me audibly GASP. And I cried a lot lol There were so many great moments of humor that actually CRACKED ME UP so hard!!!

I loved seeing Magnifico go from (kindof) calm to practically INSANE with power. And I loved how Disney didn't kill him off and just trapped him inside his own staff

I will admit, Magnifico was a jerk and so manipulative and mad with power and very narcissistic, but Disney made him hot and that distracted me lol

He was evil even before he used the spellbook he's a narcissistic jerk (but he's a DILF and i've fallen for him omg)

I was really sad that Magnifico and Amaya weren't madly in love in the movie though :(

Hot villain king destroying people's wishes and making them forget them, and USING THEM to power his own sorcery?!?!!?! Now that's how you make a truly evil antagonist

MAGNIFICO DILF ALERT

"I'm A Star" was so cute!!!! I loved the "classic Disney" feel with all the animals and trees singing (the turtle was especially cute I loved him lol) I loved all the scenes where the animals talked lol (especially the ones with the deer, and the one with the bear and the bunnies!) (But the lyric with "shareholders"...Disney do you even know what that word means!?! There were plenty of other words you could've used. But overall I really liked that song.)

THERE WERE SO MANY DISNEY REFERENCES AND I LOVED IT SM (especially being an actual Disnerd cuz i understood all of them)

EVERYTHING WAS SO DETAILED AND I LOVE IT (one of things I noticed was that everyone's clothing looked like it was taken from Sleeping Beauty and Rosas looked SO MUCH like the village in Pinocchio, just a lot bigger)

(A lot of people didn't like the movie because it was combining a lot of Disney's previous work; but in Disney's defense, they said that this movie is celebrating 100 years of Disney animation, for Disney 100. So it kinda makes sense that they would do this.)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I loved it sm

And I love the concept of the wishes being in magic bubbles/spheres!

Valentino orchestrating the chickens was HILARIOUS and I loved it sm and will forever be one of my fav scenes

I love how Star gave Asha a magic wand!!! And I love that he loves yarn and knitting things 😭❤️ so cute

I loved all of Asha's friends and how supportive they are of her and how they care so much about her. Asha can I join your friend group please?!?!?!?!? Ngl, I wish they didn't base them and their personalities off the 7 dwarves and just developed their own original personalities, but they're still great characters nonetheless!

If you can get yourself friends that'll sing an absolutely AMAZING song ("Knowing What I Know Now") with you, they're keepers

I don't like how they tried to make Asha the Fairy Godmother at the end though (they don't even look the same!) Edit: It was a just a reference and I understand that now lol I was just confused for a bit

The MUSIC?!?!?! Don't even get me started The music and the songs were so fresh!!!! I genuinely loved them

And I ABSOLUTELY LOVED how they put EVERY SINGLE WALT DISNEY ANIMATION STUDIOS MOVIE, IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER, IN THE END CREDITS (represented through characters)! And I absolutely LOVED that they used the "classic Disney" title fonts for the opening AND the credits!!!!!!

And I love how Asha's grandfather played "When You Wish Upon A Star" as the after-credits scene! I was feeling SO MANY EMOTIONS when I was watching this movie.

Basically the only thing I didn't like about the movie is that I was running late and didn't have time to buy a blue raspberry ICEE to drink while watching the movie 😔 And my popcorn was way too salty

I literally don't care about all of the bad reviews Wish got, this movie was GORGEOUS and encompasses all the magic of Disney while still being so original and detailed. Yes, there are some things that could've been better, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't good (I wouldn't PAY to see a movie I wouldn't like!) Absolutely can't wait for it to come on Disney+ so I can watch it again

So overall I would rate Wish a 9/10.

That chapter was so … JSNAJA I’m in awe !!!! And also, it’s just so heart breaking yet so beautiful yk !!! There’s that balance between happiness and sadness, A PUSH AND PULL !!! Anyway, I came here to give my analysis on chapter 4

OKAY SO we can see that from this chapter, YN and Hyunjin get along really well! If not, they get along super duper well! We can see that they get along amazingly well and actually through their conversation, it’s obvious how Hyunjin feels about the MC. You can almost feel the intimacy in your writing and that’s what’s amazing. It’s nice that we get to see and feel how Hyunjin feels in this chapter! I hope to see more of it! Tbh I do think Hyunjin does indeed feel attracted to the MC physically, and I do think he just started feeling attracted to her personality as well through that conversation. This is seen in the time wherein Hyunjin waited for the MC’s compliment for his dance video, and looked disappointed when she did not give him an honest answer. I think he was disappointed because based off of their prior conversation, he mentioned briefly that he really liked that the MC was honest with him. He was even in awe by this !!! However, I do think Hyunjin is in denial. This, I believe, is because of Hana and the fact that they are seeing each other at the moment. I think he is sort of like the MC in a sense wherein he puts a restrain upon himself. And to support my point with Hyunjin having an attraction for the mc, the way he stares at the mc when Minho talks about her “summer love” in which she can’t get over, and the way Felix acts around her, the way he is touchy with her. He stares at her both times, but this is just a hunch though because we don’t know how Hyunjin actually looked at the mc when these two things were said HELPPP SJSJAJA. But even so, my thought still stands. I still do think Hyunjin rlly does feel attracted and even “likes” the mc, but he is just in denial. Also because the mc is giving sm mixed signals like help pls JSJAJAJ, like at one moment they just go sk well together and another she is just pushing him towards Hana yk. So I guess another reason Hyunjin is holding back is because he is confused :<.

As for Hana, although it is mentioned that she can now talk about Yeonjun with ease now, I don’t think it signifies anything. She is taking the ones way too fast. To wanting to make out with him in the bathroom majority of the time they have together on the second date rather than getting to know Hyunjin. It’s obvious that she is attracted to him, but I don’t think she is interested in getting to know the TRUE him. She is almost like a fan, tbh. Like she is star struck almost. She doesn’t make the effort to get to know Hyunjin as a person, and tries to get information from the MC, which, in my opinion, is below the belt already. Even to go as far as to lie that she had already watched his dance video. Although this is to be expected, it comes to show that she isn’t interested in him as much as she thought she was. She says she really likes him but what part of him does she like? She doesn’t know anything about him at all. Her words don’t match her actions. I think she is just attracted to him physically because all she can think about is kissing him or whatever. And also, idk Hana and this “omg I want to move on”, it’s super obvious to us readers since we are seeing it from a 3rd perspective. It’s like she wants to fill the void that her ex put out. But tbh it’s more like she wants something physical and intimate rather that something just pure and lovely. And Hana, as much as I want to be understanding PLS STOL MAKING ASSUMPTIONS LIKE GURL SHUT UP LITERALLY SHUT UP SJDHJS SMH. but I do hope we get to understand her in the future chapters.

As for the MC, you can just tell that she has quiet low self esteem, or rather she is starting to. I think it’s obvious that the mc really likes Hyunjin. But he is with Hana. So the MC keeps comparing herself to Hana especially in the first part, which in my opinion is just so sad because the MC has a great personality! She is loyal, kind, smart and super artistic and talented! However she has a tendency to look down upon herself, and care about others before herself as well. This is displayed when she wanted to ask Hyunjin that question, but then asked about Hana instead. This is to be expected, but that one moment says a lot about her. I feel like the mc is scared of hurting Hana so she is scared of hurting her again, because Hana got heart broken from her previous relationship. Idt the mc wants to do something like that again. It’s almost like she is willing to put her own feelings on the line dk that Hana can be happy. Tbh this is why I feel like Hyunjin will be the one to confess or initiate something between the both of them. Because from how I see it atm, I think the mc cares too much about Hana to ever act upon her feelings. And I’m sure there’s something between the mc and felix, and I’m sure something will happen in future chapters, so idt the mc would want to make them feel bad. This jd why I think Hyunjin will be the one to initiate and act upon his feelings for the mc.

Overall the chapter was so so so good! I hope the next chapter won’t be as heart breaking PLS GIVE MY POOR HEART A RESG OUR BBY MC DESERVES SKME TOO OMG SJSBSN but I do hope the time wherein everything comes out in the open happens soon. But If it did there wouldn’t be any drama and we know how much we all love the drama 💀💀💀

I think it's very fair to not usually like first albums, especially because most of the time those albums don't have the sound that the band will come to grow into, but I always appreciate them for the place they have in a band's lifetime :] I don't know if I have a favourite to be honest, I've really grown to love Vampires Will Never Hurt You after I learned it was about Gerard's alcoholism, really adds a layer onto it and cements itself firmly in the list of songs I need to cope with things I've been through. I also really love Cubicles, how it seems to take something as silly as a lost office romance and turns it into this heart wrenching thing. I think I have something to say about every song off the album tbh hahaha I love all of them.

Hehe today I managed to watch up until the eleventh episode of the first season! I don't really play with the sims I make haha. I love designing households and then making houses for them :] I always try to make my houses looked as lived-in as I can, and I had a lot of fun making a ridiculously big house for my emo cowboy and his two horses and three cats hehe. When I signed up for D's fandom over a decade ago, I don't recall seeing fine print anywhere stating that as part of his fandom, I will have to defend his lovely lady of many moons and his relationship of special togetherness at all times as well as dictating what should be kept private and off the internet while shaming those who do not comply. If commenting on the crazy schedule that D sometimes keeps and wondering when he sleeps is off limits because he's a grown man who knows what he's doing and if by his own words, his wife is a "big girl who can take care of herself," then I'm confused as to why they need The Defenders of the Faith™ to monitor the web for any potential infractions on their lives. And if this relationship is so solid and you're so secure that they have the truest love to ever exist, then it shouldn't matter what other people post. Apparently staying in your lane only applies to others. All of this nonsense could have been avoided if he'd made some kind of statement at the beginning of the party saying that "this was a private event and we'd like to keep it that way so feel free to take pics but please don't post them to your SM accounts." Done and done. If the people there were truly friends of theirs, they would comply. Ushijima: 

Arriving at the gym a bit early, you stood near the doors where the teams would be entering so you could wish Ushijima the best of luck

Though he didn’t really need it with his skill and raw strength but it was the thought that counts

The audience slowly began to take their seats, chatter filling up the spacious gym as the teams entered

You suddenly felt hands crawl up your sides, making a smile spread across your features

“Ush- you,” the smile faded when you turned around to find your ex instead of the loving boyfriend you were with

“Since you’re here, why don’t we catch up, hm?” He asked with his hands still on you, his fingers squeezing your side

This made you feel very uncomfortable since it brought up bitter memories you had with this guy

His lies came out as easy as breathing to him and it made you sick

The countless number of hours you wasted being with him, thinking he actually cared about you when all he cared about was using you for his own benefits

The cigarettes he was able to buy with the money he “borrowed”

All your emotions you thought you left behind you suddenly churned inside of you, making you feel sick seeing his face so close to your face once again

His Smokey breath right in your face

“Get off of me,” you demanded as you tried to pry his hands off of you but he was strong

It made you remember the grasp he had on you and how sour things ended between you two but it was for the best of course

A strong latch was held onto his wrist forcing him to release you

Ushijima usually felt neutral to everyone but he was disgusted by him

With that said, the guy scrambled off and his team continued into the gym to follow their warm ups while Ushijima stayed behind

“Yeah, thanks,” you gave him a relieved smile as you took his hand from your shoulder into yours

“Good luck today. Win another one,” you said as you pressed a kiss to the back of his hand

His lips pulled into a thin smile as he nodded before joining the rest of the team with their stretches

Bokuto (ft. Akaashi): 

The sun was hot as it beamed down on you and a few of the other managers from other teams as you all took your turns to fill up the water bottles for the teams

The gym felt hotter on the inside since there was poor air circulation and it didn’t mix well with five high school volleyball teams playing for almost the entire day

But it was all for the better to help their skills as players and bonds as a team

You chatted with the other managers about the teams until it was finally your turn to fill up the water bottles for your team, Fukurodani

“You guys don’t have to wait for me,” you said as you waved off to them as they carried their water caddies, bringing them back to the sweltering gym

As you turned, back toward the faucet, you were met with a sudden chest that made you fall back, knocking some of your bottles to the ground

“Y/N, what a coincidence to see you here,” the silky voice of your ex made chills run up your spine as he squatted down to your level

“You looks so cute with that expression on your face,” his hand holding your jaw with his sinful eyes looking into your eyes, taking in the shaken look over your features

You shook out of his grasp, picking up the water bottles all around you so you could fill up your bottles and be on your way

You could hear your heart racing in your chest and the cold feel of fear spreading in your chest making goosebumps rise over your skin in the heat

“Do you want to model again for me?” He asked dangerously close to your ear

“Please go away,” you moved away, trying your best to fill up the bottles

“Oh come on, those pictures I took of you were beautiful,” his voice sensual in your ears, it brought up all the shameful memories

How were you so naive you didn’t realize how wrong things were before it got so bad

“What do you think you’re doing here,” the sound of Bokuto’s voice pulled you out of the dark as he grabbed the guy’s shoulder from behind, forcefully pushing him away from you

The guy was rendered useless seeing Bokuto with Akaashi behind him knowing he wouldn’t win if he got into a fight

“I strongly suggest you leave,” Akaashi spoke straightforwardly

“Tch, whatever” he spit as he carried on his way, away from the three of you

You let out a visibly relieving sigh as you looked up to the sky to blink away the tears you felt stinging at your eyes

“I’m here,” Bokuto’s voice was much softer with you along with his touch as he took you into his arms despite how sweaty he was

But you didn’t care

He was the one in your life, not that revolting excuse of a human

Akaashi and Bokuto helped you finish filling the bottles and carried them back to the team, cheering you up by telling you the weird dance the Karasuno team as they chanted about meat for some reason

Kuroo (ft. Kenma): 

The sky was a beautiful mix of golds and rich oranges as the sun was on its journey to set beyond the horizon, making way for the early night

You walked with Kenma and Kuroo as the three of you walked to the convenience store for some drinks after their practice

You listened intently in the good atmosphere around with your best friends and your love, Kuroo as he told you about how funny Lev was when he failed syncing with Kenma’s sets

This got Kenma to sigh, going on a little tangent as he continued to walk and play on his device

Your bright laughter lifted their energy a bit more and Kuroo loved your laugh

It made it felt like nothing could go wrong in the world

You waited outside the store as the two went in to get drinks and you watched the horizon, taking a picture of the golden sunset, your eyes wide at the beauty of nature

“I see you’re still taking those stupid pictures,” the sound of scoffing was right in your ear

You flinched automatically away from the voice as you turned to see him again

And it suddenly felt like a wound was opening in your chest. A wound you thought closed when Kuroo helped mend it

How was he able to rip it open it easily

“Aw, don’t give me that look, Y/N. I’ve missed you,” he said as he slowly took steps toward you as you instinctively stepped backs the words you wanted to say to him stuck in your throat

But what did you want to say when he was always able to turn the words back to you, the venom rolling off his tongue

“Haven’t you missed me too?” He asked, his face dangerously close to yours as he backed you against a telephone pole on the side of the street, one arm over your head while his other tucked in his pocket

“I know you have,” he purred, smirking devilishly as the hand that was resting above your head cane down to stroke your face

“Don’t touch them,” Kuroo spoke with a sweet sound in his voice, a smile on his face but you could feel his anger

You had told him and called him countless times when you woke up at night cause of he words your ex had seared into your mind about you

All were false but words had a way with sticking

The hold he had on the guy’s hand was almost bone crushing as he controlled his temper around the guy who had hurt you so badly

He never wanted to see him and he never wanted to see you so sad

He wanted to see the smile you were able to show him after a long time

“Oh? And what’re you gonna do?” He mistakingly asked

“I’ll show you something to be scared of, you piece of trash,” Kuroo cursed as he squeezed the guy’s hand until his knuckles were white, his entire demeanor different as he sent a death glare at the guy

“Alright, alright,” he finally piped up, trying to hide the clear pain Kuroo was putting on his hand

Kuroo let him go and watched him go off, sending him a glare when he looked back, standing in front of you so he couldn’t even see you

“Let’s go home,” his aura lighter around you as he handed you a drink nonchalantly, holding you close with his arm wrapped around your shoulders protectively

Staring at you with the biggest eyes

Whispers “hi” when you’re comfortably in front of him

When I say his eyes are sparkling? I’m being literal

His energy is so contagious 

Stealing glances at your shared friends as if to ask if this was real

They giggle at him and wave their hands to redirect his attention to you

So adorable though and he will definitely ask you to pinch him at some point because he’s cheesy

Also rubs your hands gently as he’s holding them to reassure you throughout the entire ceremony (but also to calm himself down a little)

Yeosang:

So serious and stony faced at first

Like people are almost worried about him

But when those doors open, he’s grinning ear-to-ear

Doesn’t even see you yet, but the anticipation is killing him

He’s been waiting for this so long and it’s finally happening? He can hardly contain himself

He doesn’t even watch the entire procession because he’s too busy trying to weave his head around the other people to see if he can catch a glimpse of you

Has zero patience 

You finally appear and that nearly takes him to his knees, I swear

He’s getting a lil wobbly

Highkey wants to run and meet you mid-aisle and just drag you the rest of the way

Wants the actual ceremony to be over with so you can be officially married

He’s been saying you're married this whole time but he wants it in writing

When you reach him, he takes your hands and you can tell he’s nervous because his hands are sweating

He recoils really quick to wipe his hands on the pants of his suit before grabbing you again

This prompts laughter from the entire audience

It amazed everyone that you two could still fluster each other, even on your wedding day

Ever since he woke up he’s been on and off crying

Happy tears, of course

He’s just so thrilled that it’s finally happening and he barely slept

Doesn’t even care about the ceremony anymore

Just wants to be married to you

Ready to live as a family and everything

Even if its just you two and Shiber for a while

When he first sees you, he chokes on his tears and starts coughing and he’s waving and making the “okay” symbol to the audience

You get to him and rub his arm to soothe him

Halfway through, its time for vows

Remember how I said he didn’t sleep?

He yawns right in the middle of his vows and you almost fall over you’re laughing so hard

Even the officiant, who has tried so hard to be serious up until this point, is trying to hold back a giggle or two

And San is totally worried that he’s made a mess of everything but when he sees your smile?

He knows that this wedding couldn’t have possibly gone any better

Mingi:

He’s gonna trip going up the stairs to meet the officiant

He’s so nervous about messing things up he almost seriously injures himself like fifty times getting ready

Like almost impales himself with the boutonniere, trips, almost slips in the shower, gets shampoo in his eyes, etc.

But everything is okay once he sees you

Couldn’t care less about anything else that had happened or gone wrong that day

Honestly wouldnt even care if the venue burned down, as long as he got to marry you

The boys are totally gonna tell you every detail and mishap from the morning later though

But for now? Peace

He’s smiling that crooked grin of his and his eyes are all twinkly with love

Gives you a big hug when you get close enough and holds you for a solid 20 seconds before the officiant is like “…can we get this going now?”

But it comes out as a quiet “oh wow”

Makes the officiant smile because they were the only one who could hear him say it

When you’re standing in front of him he’ll just kind of gasp

And then a single tear rolls down his cheek before he even knows he’s crying

When you wipe it away the witnesses are all cooing at you two

And he chuckles awkwardly and he’ll whisper that he’s not crying his eyes are just sweating

Whatever you say, kiddo

Once the ceremony starts, he never takes his eyes off of you

He doesn’t even know what the officiant looks like lmao

So laser focused on you and he just cant break away

You’re so hypnotizing

And he gets choked up reading his vows, but takes a few breaths and finishes with ease

And when the ceremony is finally over he’s practically racing you down the aisle, excited to get the party on with his new spouse

Strong boy not feeling so strong

He feels small while he’s alone and just waiting for you in front of all these people

The boys are whispering encouraging words next to him 

But that doesn’t stop the violent shaking of his hands

When he sees you though? That’s when he stops shaking

He feels strong again

He draws all his strength from you, and that sounds cheesy until you remember you are literally the person he is dedicating his entire life to

Holds your hands so gently throughout the entire ceremony and winks at you a couple times to make you blush

Basically, all his nerves dissipated when he saw you walking towards him

Mouths “I love you” to you a million times during the ceremony

When you ask him how many times he thinks he must have said it, he just tells you he lost track

“The officiant was boring me, I just wanted to be married to you. Finally!!”

Scoops you up at the end and carries you out that door

Maintains the strong image until you’re alone when he can bask in the softness of your long awaited marriage

The Last Olympian Thoughts

So because I have absolutely 0 self-control or restraint when it comes to this series and its characters, and for The Last Olympian in particular, I could not put TLO down. Because of this I figured I couldn’t do the usual photo reaction posts I have been so far, because the spam would just be ridiculous, so I am stealing the idea from @yourstrulytaaay​ to do a masterpost instead. Fun fact, TLO came out right after i finished reading the series for the first time so it's the first PJO book i bought  and my only hard cover one for the og series. I checked the year and turns out it was published 2009, which means i was actually 9 when i read the series for the first time. I realize this is not really a fun fact but i thought i was older when I first read the series so it's blowing my mind a little ‘cause now I’m 21 and everything hits different and i still have so much love for this series and the characters Okay onto book thoughts: - i was right that this book is gonna destroy me, the first line alone made me so excited and nostalgic it's ridiculous - I love Rachel and Percy sm tbh. Her being a bit of peace and normalcy in his life without always reminding Percy of who and what he is is so good for him. Just a little escape

- of course by the end of the book that's not the case any more but by the end he's lived his prophecy so he doesn't need it as badly, plus he and Annabeth are solid again - Percy saying Annabeth has been hard to be around lately... Ouch my heart. Luke really is the last thing that keeps them from being together and Percy is so jealous and Annabeth so torn and in pain, i feel so bad for them both

- Beckendorf 🥺🥺 - the telkhine with the Lil Demon lunchbox!! I forgot about him. Percy: 'i left him alive, partly because his lunchbox was cool' is one of my absolute favourite lines tbh - Paul taking Percy crabbing and being imperative in helping Percy kill the giant crab 💖 Paul Blofis is important and deserves the world, okay? - aw Percy, you can't save every demigod bb

- 'i had to fight him eventually. Why not now?... What difference would a week make?' Oh Percy you have no idea - real talk tho, the fact Kronos possessed Luke's body would also mess me tf up. Percy keeps forgetting it's not Luke anymore and yeah, that would be so so hard and confusing af, like what another smart little mind game for Kronos to pull on top of everything else - the fact Percy fights Kronos before getting the Achilles Curse and actually doesn't die within seconds is... Astounding. He kicks him in the chest! And yeah Kronos is weaker and still adjusting to Luke's body, but Percy is having trouble fighting Luke cause they used to be friends - Percy breaks Kronos' time magic!! Like?! Boy is POWERFUL.

- OUCH - honestly Luke, Thalia and Annabeth's family breaking the way it did... Don't talk to me. Poor Annabeth, Luke betrayed them, Thalia joined the Hunters because of Luke's betrayal so she's pretty much AWOL all the time and then Luke dies. Like Rick wtf, my heart can't take it? -Percy and Tyson having each others backs when talking to Poseidon in the underwater palace is the brother-brother relationship we love to see - Percy trying to stick a sand dollar in the vending machines at school 🤦🏻‍♀🤦🏻‍♀ - the whole underwater interaction at Poseidon's palace? Perfection. Awkward family drama and all - Connor falling out of the tree when he sees Percy because he's so excited 😂😂

- k, ik Clarisse isn't perfect but tbh if i was a child of Ares whose father was disrespected and hated by my fellow campers (ares deserves it but still) and that disrespect trickled down to how the other campers treated ME (which if Percy is reliable here, it obviously does) then i would also be irritated at being used for muscle and nothing else? And just expected to fight with the people who act as if they'd rather not have Ares kids around the rest of the time. Like Clarisse isn't totally wrong - Percy reading the prophecy, seeing he's meant to die and just being like 'i do not see it' and refusing to outright think about it makes me so sad for him - (but it taints every action after and he's super reckless afterwards bc of it- including finally breaking and accepting the Achilles Curse) - (also him taking this as the last straw and finally beginning to show Annabeth how he really feels, cause fuck it, he's dying anyway) - Give me more info about Rachel's backstory and family Rick!! -  how did i forget Percy willingly eats chocolates that taste like cardboard because 'i didnt have anything against cardboard' like sir? Ik Silena didn't want them but still? - 'she'd always been cute, but she was starting to be seriously beautiful' STOP, MY HEART CAN'T TAKE IT - Percy staring at Annabeth and forgetting what they're talking about cause hes so distracted 👌🏻

- hmm yeah... For some strange reason.... - i forgot how Percy totally bombs this convo bw them and now want to cry 😭 Annabeth is trying to talk about what's important and Percy, you sweet oblivious man, you're shooting her down without even realizing - love that they're both on the same wavelength tho. Percy two lines before, hmm it's cool to date ppl from other cabins, wonder why im thinking that around Annabeth, my best friend in the world, and then Annabeth a beat later, hmm, let me bring up Silena and Beckendorf and how it's important to be with the people you love when you have the chance, no way Percy will miss this huge hint right? - they're the best - k i honestly forgot Percy full on physically intimidates Leneus like that - luke telling his mom if he ran away the monsters wouldnt get her..i can just imagine luke crying when he says good bye before running away because he thinks it's his fault his mom is like that and he cant take care of and protect her anymore because it's too hard - uh oh now i have angsty pre-lightning thief luke fic inspo... Him, Thalia and Annabeth on the run... The ANGST -  Rick holds absolutely nothing back in this book and i am in pain - HESTIA!! 💖💖🥰 - actual loml - i love that Rick titled this book after her and that he wrote such a great series about the importance of family (biological, found or otherwise) and home, and that he said actually Hestia is the most important bc shes the most humble and keeps the peace and knows when to fight and when to yield and you protect what you love, which is your home - i just... Adore Hestia - Grover! Missed you babes - Hades is so so horrible to Nico, always comparing him to Bianca :/ - but i do love Hades, Persephone and Demeter together they make me laugh - oh god the River Styx - Achilles 🥺 - Annabeth being Percy's lifeline is, and continues to be, A Lot™ - 'my name was Percy Jackson. I reached up and took Annabeth's hand.' LOL Why am i crying? - Like the fact there is no Percy without Annabeth, and that remembering her literally reminded him of who he is in his very soul... It's fine im fine - i won't even get into the parallels of her being his lifeline now and then later when Hera takes his memories but leaves the memory of Annabeth for Percy to fight to get back to (anyone who wants to yell about it with me... Feel free to message) - badass Percy is my fav Percy tbh - him defeating Hades?? Like? Hades is arguably the most powerful god, okay - i feel bad for Nico but if i was Percy I'd do the exact same, Nico, sorry man but this is a high stakes time crunch deal and Nico is literally the only hope of persuading Hades and distracted by his own internal stuff - flashbacks to Luke, Thalia and Annabeth hurt, ow - George and Martha are the best - damn i forgot Hermes full on nearly kills Percy here, yikes - Luke stop cockblocking Percabeth challenge

- i love!! Percy's love for New York!! So much!! - Percy leaving to live in New Rome in HoO is a lie and this is all the proof i need for why - the fact the entire last half of the book is the battle and aftermath... Such great buildup and pacing. All the tricks and twists and battles in this War of Manhattan? I would not take out a thing, Rick, you legend - of course then the final battle in hoo with the gods is what? Two pages? Ugh, don’t talk to me about my hatred for BoO and HoO - 'no detours you two' is still the cutest thing!!! - THE HUNTERS!! Thalia i missed you - good job Percy, you finally spent your sand dollar - Minotaur!! - 'dont i get a kiss for luck? Its kind of a tradition right?' Percy finds out he's gonna die and is out of fucks to give and honestly I support him - also Michael just standing beside these two while they're flirting like umm 👀 👀 while a monster army marches towards them, nbd - Annabeth taking Ethan's knife meant for Percy!!! Cause she just knows his weak spot without him even telling her! They literally invented love - Feral Percy is so scary omg, i love how well Rick incorporates the Achilles Curse in this novel, with the whole heightened weaknesses and stuff ans the parallels to Achilles arrogance being what killed him and Percy's loyalty, fierceness and protective instinct being his own heightened weakness - the fact that Percy is the one who inadvertantly kills Michael Yew tho, I'll never recover from that - the fact Hades offers Maria di Angelo a golden palace by the Styx like how Poseidon offers Sally a palace under the sea tho. Let's talk about that parallel - the entire talk with Prometheus is so so good - not me picturing young Luke hiding in the closet to get away from his mom when she has an 'episode' -i love callbacks in stories and all of the callbacks to the rest of the series in this book make me very happy (medusa, minotaur, the underworld, Rainbow!! My baby!!, Daedalus and more) - Percy summoning a wholeass hurricane against Hyperion - the Party Ponies! They're so chaotic, i love it - Dionysus! 😁 I can't help it, i love him - Percy absolutely losing it when he sees Sally and Paul asleep in the car 🥺 - Rachel telling Percy he's not the hero screws with him so much :( poor bb - although i really really love how Rick wrote this, it's so refreshing to not have one chosen one save the world, but a combination of people - the drakon, Silena and Clarisse make me cry - the Patrochilles references, im not okay - Annabeth giving up on Luke after hearing what he did to Silena and Percy telling her that doesn't make him happy 😭 that whole interaction makes my heart ache - Percy giving Hestia Pandora's pithos 🥺 - and Hades, Nico and the others coming for a final attack is so badass, i love it - listen im glad the og trio were the ones to confront Luke on Olympus but the fact Thalia got so close and then pinned by a statue of HERA makes me so sad. Ik her and Luke were finished and she coped by cutting him off completely and giving up all hope but i would pay money to know what they would have said to each other to say goodbye - Ethan 🥺 - Poseidon joining the fight against Typhon is so cool, such a great scene - 'PEANUT BUTTER!' - Annabeth you brilliant badass you - RIP Luke, you werent great but you werent the worst either - the gods just rolling up seconds too late, wondering wtf happened in Olympus and who the dead body is - the chapter where the Olympians meet and give out rewards is one of my absolute favourites (again i am incensed we didn't get anything like this in HoO) - will Percy turning down immortality ever not make me scream in glee? No? Alright then - Annabeth being relieved like Percy was relieved at the end of Titan's Curse tho - oh Hermes :/ - its so hard reading all this and knowing what comes in HoO... Like it's such a cathartic, earned and mostly happy and peaceful ending and then HoO comes along and undermines it all - aww Rick let Paul see Olympus somehow pls, he deserves it, he killed a dracanae - (i would also love to see it) - Percy being more upset Rachel took his pegasus than her going to Camp and possibly dying, lol, priorities dude - i honestly think that Rick had other ideas for the second Great Prophecy and how things would go down in BoO, cause the prophecy like... Barely applies to BoO, Doors of Death are in book four, and explabations of it is all so unclear when Rick is usually pretty good with that stuff - PERCABETH - lol Percy complaining about privacy when he and Annabeth are caught kissing literally in the middle of the very open and public dining pavilion, okay - BEST UNDERWATER KISS OF ALL TIME - that's it and im a glass case of emotion - very happy to say that this series remains my favourite of all time 💖
