Hey, I started reading Robin son of Batman because of your recommendation (I literally have a print of your post on my phone to not forget lol). Honestly? One of the best things I ever read!!!

Thank you for opening my eyes! Damian has been one of my favorite characters for over a year, but I didn't read/watch much of him because of school, life (and probably an executive dysfunction in the mix).

Maya is incredible. I loved her.

I haven't finished all the issues yet, but do you have any other recommendations?

i’d love to give reccs, and i’ll try to go a beginner friendly route! tbh you can pick up whatever here, but since you've read R:SOB i’d immediately follow up with Batman and Robin (2011) #1-8! this first arc is what’s referred to in Maya’s introduction, and it's just. so good.

With over 20 members currently on the QSMP and more on the way, it's almost impossible for a single person to stay up to date on everything that happens, even with help from QSMP's official Twitter recap accounts.

For people who are interested in QSMP's story, characters, and/or streamers but don't have time to watch hundreds of hours worth of VODs, I've created the QSMP VOD Timestamp Archive.

If there's a particular lore moment you missed live and can't find, search for it in the archive!

Timestamps include quotes, notable lore events, and funny interactions. Interesting or important moments from each stream are bolded for emphasis. I'm also adding short summaries for lore-heavy / eventful stream.

I've organized the document so it should be easy to navigate, and you can CTRL + F to search for specific streamers and/or events.

Complete VOD playlists, recaps, and additional resources are also included in the document for people who might be feeling overwhelmed by the amount of QSMP content out there. It's never too late to get into the series!

If you have a streamer you watch consistently, consider writing down important timestamps to help fellow fans! You don’t have to take detailed notes like mine – even one or two timestamps can be a real lifesaver. If you have any helpful timestamps you want added to the list (or even a 1 sentence summary of a particular stream), send it to me via DM so I can add it to the archive.

Yes. For starters, I want to reiterate that anyone reading this post NEEDS TO BLOCK HIM. He is an online predator and emotional manipulator.

Me and 2 of my close tumblr friends would draw with him constantly on magma.io (all of 2022). He had strange tendencies of guilting us into drawing late into the night and emotionally breaking our characters. February of last year both of my friends came out and told me that he had been talking and drawing with them more privately. He had asked and guilted them into drawing pornography and extremely violent artworks of his and their characters. Both were underage.

I can tell you that what he has "admitted" in his most recent post is not even close to what he actually did.

Gamethesoldier, as a 22+ year old man, targeted MULTIPLE minors online, heavily MANIPULATED them, started long and serious relationships with them, and MANY more disgusting acts with pornography and gore. I went to the police last year, but was unable to get him arrested as he and his victims were in different countries and I myself was not one of his victims.

What he has done is unacceptable, despicable, and criminally illegal. One of my friends was heavily impacted by his actions and is still clearly shaken by what happened. They are at no fault for any of what he did.

For respect to my friends, I kept this quiet, deleting all of my art with him. But recently I saw he was with another magma.io group and... I could NOT let that stand. He does not deserve pity or empathy. He is a criminal and one who has manipulated minors to a horrifying degree.

I apologize for the extreme degree of this post. But I wanted to make it clear, he is not a good person.

Please reblog fic posts!

You know those posts that go around saying how important it is to reblog art?

Same is true for fic.

Even if it's not 100% your cup of cocoa, it may be just what someone else wants. I've found so many great authors and stories from other people reblogging their things!

I know it's a bit more challenging, because you can't always read something right away and you can't totally rec something you haven't read, and then finding the post about it again is a nightmare. But. If it's an author you like, or it's a story concept that looks neat, reblog! Maybe add a "[author] is great!" or "this looks neat!" tag.

It's so helpful, especially for less well known writers and especially in a super prolific fandom like GO where it's literally impossible to read even a fraction of what gets posted.

I feel like content creators complain too much about the "interactions" on Tumblr. Even if it's just a like and not a reblog, it's still interaction and it shows that someone out there likes your work. If you hate even that, maybe making content isn't for you in the first place? Idk maybe thats just me :/

hi anon. i am not sure if you create content of your own or not, but i think that creators can and should continue to complain about the lack of notes that they receive if they want to. it’s a problem that’s only been getting worse throughout the years and i have seen too many talented mutuals become discouraged at the lack of activity and just leaving altogether

of course likes are still appreciated and i’m sure many creators are grateful for it, but honestly it’s really only reblogs that helps people see their creations. without it, many contents that people pour HOURS into end up being unseen and can not get the appreciation that it deserves. many of us are still here to write/draw/edit only because we love doing it as a hobby and wants to express our love for our fave series in our own ways, but of course it will be demotivating if we’re putting so much effort into things that gets no support

Having of those moments where I wish to yeet the like button into the sun or maybe make it so there was setting you could turn on so that people can only reblog posts (even better with the minimum requirement of adding at least one tag)!!

It's kind of absurd that one of my fics is getting close to 500 notes while simultaneously being one I've had the least actual human interactions come from. Like...... come on, that's now how it should be AT ALL!

Don't get me wrong, I'm so thrilled people are clearly finding it and I guess enjoying it(??) but just having endless likes without people letting me know what they enjoyed about it or even if they liked it kind of makes me sad. That's not why I want to share my writing here!

I love having those little human connections with others. I don't ever want my writing to feel transactional. I would love to talk to more people about things I've written. It's truly one of the best feelings and I would hate to lose that, the more I write or the more notes my fics get. Please don't be shy!! I get the social anxiety, but there is no reason to be. I am truly just a Din Djarin obsessed loser.

Anyway, whine over. I don't want to focus on the negatives here and I appreciate every single person who has ever left a positive interaction with something I've written. You are truly a light!

The dude with the mask and the freaky aloe guy were standing next to two people he didn’t know. They were in black cloaks but they didn’t have red clouds on them, so they weren’t Akatsuki. A little further away was another one of the black cloak guys and the man he recognized as Itachi’s partner.

He let out a breath of relief at seeing them. If they were still here, then maybe he wasn’t too late. For once, maybe he could get to Sasuke in time.

Or, team Hebi reacts faster when Sasuke and Itachi finish their fight. The Akatsuki don't get to take Sasuke right away; instead the leaf ninja get there and take him back to the village with Hebi in tow. This doesn't magically fix everything, but it does change a lot.

people can use this site however they want but there's something almost- idk, sad? about how few people are actually using their blogs. you can turn themes on and have skeletons dancing in the background. you can make everything hot pink. your blog is your scrapbook and you can put whatever you want in there. tags are okay at organizing things so you can have just a whole archive of cool shit to look at later. i know people complain a lot about people liking stuff about reblogging for engagement, and on one hand i get that- it is WILD to see a drawing i spent hours on get only 12 reblogs and 60 likes. Absolute culture shock compared to my previous fandoms. but i don't think you should reblog anything to make artists happy. i think you should reblog things so you can find them again. i think you should queue things to appear on the dash at specific times on certain days. i think you should reblog things so when you're talking to your friends about xyz post you saw you can look in your blog's archive and find it again. i think you should reblog things so that your dash is filled with one really sleepy cat. with the loss of reblogs there's the loss of engagement, which Does hurt the community-focus that makes tumblr so appealing, but idk i just wish people were more excited about the incredible amount of customization that tumblr allows and took advantage of that more

how do i get into poetry? i see your posts as in those collages of pictures are some of the most beautiful pieces of texts i’ve ever seen. do you have any website recommendations? or, maybe even books you recommend? thank you so much, i wish you good health.

oooh, so I've actually once sent in an ask to @firstfullmoon asking about this, since she posts and discusses some of the most beautiful poetry I've read, and I admire how well-versed she is in poetry too. if I am remembering correctly, some of the advice I remember her giving was: once you find a poet(s) whose work you really enjoy, looking into more of their work and finding more poetry through that. another tip she gave me was that through Poets.org, you can subscribe for their Poem-a-Day function, where everyday, you receive a new poem in your email!

in regards to my own advice, I don't read as much poetry as I wish I did :( however, other tips I could think of include reflecting on what areas, topics or subjects you'd enjoy to read poetry on, and maybe searching for compilations or books on those online. in addition to this, you can also follow Tumblr blogs and Instagram accounts that regularly post poetry, which will allow you to consistently see it. also, maybe reading with a friend/loved one helps too! whether it be forming a book club together, where you both read the same amount of poems per day/week/month, and discuss them together, or maybe just joining together to hang out, read poetry and discuss it. the other day, my girlfriend, who is currently in a creative writing class, and I were reading poems that were required for his class, and together, we discussed our interpretations of the poems, reread them, and noted things we picked up on to each other, whether it be certain wording or details. and it was honestly so much fun, since we got to piece the meanings of the poems together.

very self indulgent vigilante au bc it’s one of my fav tropes 🤡

pls tell me if i made any spelling mistakes or if it’s hard to understand what i’m saying

anyway super long post ahead and it’s in a super weird format love you guys xx:

for some context!!!!!!!! :

*an enhancement is basically another word for super power. people with enhancements are called “enhanced”, people without enhancements are just called “enhanceless”

*a hero is someone with a 'heroing license' that goes around saving people on the daily. a villain is, well, a villain.

*heroes have a ranking system, going from 1-50, 1 being the best. it goes by civilian vote and refreshes every month. that's not to say you need to be a top 50 hero to be good hero, there's plenty that don't have a ranking that are well loved.

*a vigilante is someone who goes around saving people BUT without a hero license. vigilantes are illegal as a person needs a registered heroing license to signify they've gone through training and know how to use their enhancement.

* "patrolling" is what vigilantes and heroes call the act of watching the city. heroes have a whole system and schedule while vigilantes just patrol as they please.

* the living system in this fic goes by districts, the higher the district, the richer the area (i.e District 1 is the richest and most expensive district to live in, District 20 is the lowest and poorest district. most heroes only patrol down to district 10 at max, with a few who go lower.)

* there are specific drugs known as "enhancement intensifying drugs (EIDs)" . the most popular and most dangerous drug is called "Potentia", the strongest EID known to man. it's been in production for 14 years, though it seems that a couple years ago, the suppliers of Potentia lost the main ingredient, which forced them to change the entire formula...

* Potentia is normally injected through needles into a person’s arm. depending on the dosage, it can power you up for a couple hours (low dose) or give you a permanent boost (extremely high dose). Potentia does come with major side effects no matter the dosage, ranging from nausea and headaches to muscle failure and death

here's the basic plot:

little mac, a 17 year old who lives in district 14, is an orphan with an extremely powerful enhancement: enhancement imitation. recently, the lower districts have had increasing rates of crime, and with heroes constantly bringing in vigilantes who actually protect lower districts, then heroes more or less refusing to help the lower districts themselves, it's become more and more dangerous to live there.

now, between trying to pay rent, running from supervillains who are trying to kidnap him, constantly lying about his age and identity, being an illegal vigilante, and needing to find a new job after being replaced at his last one, mac has his work cut out for him.

when a paid internship opportunity arises at Hero HQ, mac says "whatever" and goes for shizzles and giggles if nothing else.

upon actually getting the internship, he realises that maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't work under the #1 hero as #1 vigilante. it might just cause a few problems.

ok here's the actual headcanons:

p.s the format for everyone’s intros is basically:

name - power [extra info on power and reason behind power] (hero name and reason behind their name)

little mac - enhancement imitation [can copy other people’s enhancements. i wanted his enhancement to kind of represent how he slowly develops his own style of fighting crime + accepts his power as his own instead of associating it with potentia. you’ll read why he doesn’t use his power a lot in a sec] (vigilante name - Champion of Lower Districts // COLD for short lol)

-doesn't enjoy using his enhancement but uses it as necessary

-works under sandman and doc louis (practically only doc since sandman is almost always out) as an intern at the hero hq

-his (totally not forged) ID and birth certificate say he's 18, but he only just recently turned 17

-pretty shy and generally quiet, but when he does speak, he has a booming voice

-mac's blood is the main ingredient in Potentia, an illegal enhancement intensifying drug. he hates using his enhancement because the only thing he can think about is how he’s responsible for Potentia (survivor’s guilt yknow). i stated that the formula for Potentia changed and it’s because four years ago, mac ran away from the lab that used him to make the drug. over the years, he's been actively getting rid of any Potentia he gets his hands on and fights the villains who made the drug in the first place

glass joe: enhanced senses [since glass joe is pretty sensitive in game (e.g him saying his boxing gloves are too tight, or that his stomach hurts) i thought it would be nice to make his enhancement reflect that] (hero name - frappons // HIHI FRENCH SPEAKER HERE ~ glass joe's name comes from the french verb "frapper” meaning “to hit”. the plural-present conjugation of frapper is "nous frappons". "nous" means we, and "frappons" means hit. thus, glass joe's name is kind of like "we hit" get it?)

-joe's enhancement allows him to hear, see, feel, smell, and taste things about 18x better than the average human, this power does have to be "manually" activated/joe has to focus on whatever senses he wants to be stronger

-this does backfire sometimes, as being in distress also activates his enhancement (i.e he'll be in a fight and as his anxiety rises, so does his ability to feel and smell, which can easily lead to overstimulation)

-he's a bit nervous, but he is deserving of the 13th spot. the title fits like a crown for him.

von kaiser: explosion [his enhancement is a callback to how he's constantly going "BOOM!" in game] ( hero name: the kampfmaschine // I'm sure we all know the iconic voiceline, but if you don't, von kaiser refers to himself in game as "kampfmaschine" meaning "fighting machine")

-literally just can explode things, yknow

-can make fire through his explosions, great in survival situations

-works part time as a teacher in an elementary school for children with extremely powerful enhancements

disco kid: music charm, can put people under his control as long as there's music playing [i think his enhancement is pretty self-explanatory, my guy just loves music] (hero name - disco // no one actually calls him by his real name even when out of the hero suit, it just doesn't feel right. disco kid doesn't mind though) -disco always had a knack for music, but his enhancement came in late (his enhancement came in when he was around 10 years old, most people’s come in at around 5). he was overjoyed when he realised his enhancement was music related

-a popular singer when outside the suit, being a hero only gives more attention to his singing career

-overall a fun guy no matter where you find him. just be careful if there’s music playing, he might just mind control you on accident

king hippo: weather control!! literally just controls the weather [hippo's in game cutscene is him on an island lounging around in nice weather, so i thought it'd be nice to have his enhancement be kind of like a way of showing he's a nice guy who makes sure people have nice weather yknow??](hero name - king hippo // no one actually knows king hippo's real name, but he's proven himself to be a loyal and kind person so most of the others don't question it too much anymore)

-districts 1, 2, and 3 often have good weather because of hippo controlling it, the rest of the districts have natural weather

-his emotions do affect his enhancement, if he gets too upset the weather turns gray and rainy, if he's angry it gets real hot

-he can’t actually speak verbally, but he expresses his thoughts and feelings through sign language, notes, and humming piston hondo: super speed [his enhancement is a callback to the scene of him running as fast as a bullet train] (hero name: none/uses his real name. he doesn't really get the point of hero names since everyone knows them anyway, it's not like it's a disguise)

-a very serious man, often using all his time to improve his physical abilities

-constantly pushes himself and his enhancement to the limit. it makes him extremely exhausted, but no matter how much people tell him to rest, he won't rest unless absolutely necessary

.-despite this, he encourages everyone to stay healthy and have a proper sleep schedule, the hypocrite bear hugger: talking to animals [self explanatory enhancement LOL] (hero name: bear hugger // like disco, his hero name is practically his real name, everyone calling him either just "bear" or "hugger")

-doesn't actually go on as many missions as the others, normally there for backup

-he mainly uses his enhancement to spy on people, telling animals to watch any villains or suspicious civilians and report back to him when there's any evidence of wrongdoing

-the main reason he's #8 hero is because he makes the second most public appearances out of any hero (super macho man makes the most of course). pair consistent appearance with his lovable personality and enhancement, you've got an easy way to get voted in top 50. great tiger: teleportation, cloning, and levitation, an extremely rare occurrence of triple enhanced (hero name: great tiger // another disco kid situation)

-can make anything levitate, including objects and himself

-you'd think he'd be top hero, but as soon as you can get past his enhancement he's basically done for (it's easy to get past him once you know his attack patterns, they get more predicitve the more you fight him)

-you won't see him on the ground a lot, especially in fights. he much prefers to levitate and claims that flying is a lot faster than running

don flamenco: controlling plants (hero name: la rosa // literally "the rose" in spanish)

-think Isabella from encanto, that's basically don with his enhancement LOL

-soaks up ALL of the attention he gets as #6 hero, loves his fans but is very committed to his relationship with Carmen

-the most involved in the media after bear hugger and smm, often the poster boy for Hero HQ because of his charming personality (and good looks teehee)

aran ryan: metal bending [i liked the thought of him metalbending bc of the iconic 'horseshoe in boxing gloves' cutscene, and thought it would be a nice callback to it yknow? pls tell me in the tags if you have better ideas bc i was lowkey stuck on his power] ( hero name: silverclover // silver in reference to his metal bending, clover because he's irish LOLOL)

-aran's power is complicated in the sense that it makes absolutely no sense. he controls metal in every single way, and thus, knows how to make too many things out of it. he can melt it down, harden it, break it, and he can do a thing where it magnetizes to his body.

-he's doesn't have a lot of courtesy or manners, but he's very smart in a metalworking sense. he studies diagrams and blueprints of any contraption or building he can get his hands on. if asked, he can make a gun out of a rusty pipe, and he can also tell you exactly how the vents of hero hq work and exactly where they run throughout the building.

-his main weapon is the iconic flail, but instead of boxing gloves, it's just some metal tied to the end

soda popinski: water and ice powers, a rare occurrence of double enhancement [his enhancement is in reference to his love for soda and his ability to withstand the cold, srsly tho the cutscene of him in the snow with almost nothing but a coat and hat scares me] (hero name: Pobeda // in reference to his voiceline where he says his "favourite drink is victory”, pobeda (Победа) means victory in russian)

-a tall and intimidating man, but a friendly one at that!

-with a double enhancement of water and ice, he can easily freeze his opponents OR splash them LOL

-the only setback to his power is that he gets dehydrated super fast, thus him constantly drinking soda, water, tea, or really any liquid he can get his hands on

bald bull: bull hybrid LMAO [self-explanatory enhancement] (hero name: bald bull // like king hippo, no one actually knows his real name, but he protects the city very well and scares off potential villains pretty often, so he's in the good books of hero hq)

-our beloved bull has a very dedicated fan club that keeps him in the top 3 of the hero rankings at all time, although bald bull himself doesn't make many public appearances

-bald bull also arrests the most vigilantes out of everyone, having arrested about 100-and-something in his career, it's predicted he'll be the one to bring in COLD

-an angry man, but he puts that anger towards fighting. when out of battle though, he's constantly on the verge of exploding

super macho man: light/brightness enhancement, but mainly relies on his tech to defeat villains [his enhancement is in reference to all cameras that constantly FLASH on him, get it teehee] (hero name: super macho man // hates when people call him by his real name, so he tells people to just call him macho man)

-controls any light that's in the area, things like electrical lamps or flashlights -as i said, he mainly relies on tech and his own strength to defeat villains, and treats his enhancement more like a party trick than anything (though, he doesn't like the dark since it completely renders his enhancement useless, even if he doesn't use it a lot)

-against tough opponents, he'll temporarily blind them by just making it super bright

sandman: super strength [also self-explanatory] (hero name: mr. sandman // also uses his real name)

-SANDMAN MY MAN!!!!! sandman takes the spot as #1 hero with a respectable enhancement, a lovable personality, a good physique, and a steady stream of media appearances

-it's not known to a lot of people, but sandman was actually a vigilante before becoming a hero. he's the only hero who has ever had this happen. but, unfortunately, he is still bound by hero law and has to bring in any vigilantes he finds, no matter how overwhelming the guilt and irony is.

-he knows what it's like to be at the lowest of the low, coming from district 18 himself. it's one of the main reasons he hires mac as his intern, he understands and trusts the kid

doc louis: enhancement disabling/enabling, can temporarily disable enhancements OR make them stronger [my reasoning behind his enhancement is that in PO he trains mac and helps him become wvba champ, effectively making mac stronger. as for disabling, i wanted to give him a counter-act to his enhancement strengthening, thus, enhancement disabling.] (former hero name: doc) -the former #1 hero, and mentor to sandman.

-he saw mac in that interview and IMMEDIATELY went "heehee this my child now! oh? you're technically an adult? still my kid"

-handles a lot of behind the scenes stuff at hero hq, things like patrol routes and paperwork yknow?

SIDE CHARACTERS/NON HEROES:

carmen: medicinal/healing enhancement [i wanted her to actively be able to support the heroes while still having a personaly, so she’s more or less their resident doctor. her business is practically right beside hero hq]

- runs a florist/pharmaceutical business with dons help

- grows tons of herbs for her medicine

rory (aran's sister): doesn't have an enhancement in the beginning, eventually gets a shapeshifting one and helps mac a little bit her [i don’t have much of a reason behind her enhancement, but i thought it was fitting]

- literally only like 5

- her shapeshifting does not allow her to imitate the power of the person she turns into
