Widow Night Out: Reclaiming Joy in the Midst of Grief
Tumblr media
There’s something deeply sacred about laughter after loss. For many widows, joy can feel like a betrayal — like smiling too wide might somehow erase the depth of our grief. But here's the truth: joy doesn't replace grief; it sits beside it. That’s what Widow Night Out is all about.
It’s not about forgetting. It’s about remembering that we are still here — still worthy of fun, of sisterhood, of music that makes us dance, and conversations that make us feel seen. It's a space where no one has to explain why they cry between laughs or why their ring still sits on their finger. Everyone already understands.
The Power of Togetherness
Grief can be isolating, but Widow Night Out reminds us that healing doesn’t happen in silence — it happens in community. When widows gather, there’s an unspoken bond, a shared strength that flows from one woman to the next. We tell stories, sip wine or tea, wear something that makes us feel alive again, and most importantly — we show up.
Healing Isn’t Linear
There are no rules for how long you're supposed to grieve or how quickly you're supposed to move forward. But one thing is certain: allowing yourself to enjoy life again is not dishonoring your past — it's honoring you. These nights are gentle invitations back to ourselves.
Why It Matters
Widowhood is more than a status — it’s a journey. And that journey deserves pauses for lightheartedness and reminders that we’re more than what we’ve lost. We are still becoming.
Widow Night Out is not just about going out — it’s about stepping back into life, slowly but intentionally. Whether it's a quiet dinner, a dance night, or just gathering with women who "get it," it’s a celebration of resilience.
To the widow who needs this reminder:
It’s okay to laugh. It’s okay to dance. It’s okay to live.
You are not moving on — you are moving forward.
Keep going, beautifully.

HAPPY VARENTINES DAY, ANGEL ! I've been facing some tech issues recently, but!! To celebrate Ren's birthday and Valentine's Day, I'll be releasing Day 5 (the Early Access version) for all the Beta Testers in a few days!
And for those who aren't part of the 14DWY Discord server, don't worry! The public version will be available for everyone to play once the beta testing period is over ^^
Tumblr media
#I don't have internet right now because my service provider is ass </3 I fear we may be livetweeting from my campus wifi right now lmao /hj#Anyways!! For those unfamiliar with how the whole ''Day update'' releases work; it's as follows:#Beta Testers → 14DWY Discord Server → Public Release#I always feel bad for those who pay money to boost da server (or donate to my ko-fi); so I want to offer them early dev logs and game acces#But members can also become a Beta Tester for ✨free✨ by chatting and reaching level 50 — or by taking part in server events >:3#They get access to all dat + unique server perks (like special name colour; upload & emote/sticker perms; [REDACTED] pixels lmao; etc)#And just so that it's not too overwhelming for da folks on Discord—#—I don't think I'll make a Twitter/Bsky announcement until Day 5 is officially available for beta testers to play#Or... until I can find a new service/phone provider because an additional $40 a month is NAWT the vibe!!!!! T_T#I also do not want to drive 1.3 hours into the city just to use my uni's/McDonalds wifi hjgdgjdhjgd#But I fear this may be the price I need to pay to have extended wifi coverage to the middle of nowhere </3 /lh /silly#Oh lawd.... How am I going to upload the files to Itch........... T_T#Brb brawling and bawling a certain internet provider real quick <3#💖 — 14 days with queue.#🖤 — updates.#🖤 — shut up sai.#I'll make a new rebloggable announcement + use the 14DWY tags once Day 5 is officially out!!

Guess who had a realization and just combed thru all birthday voicelines to confirm something.
Nearly all characters mentions birthday and/or wanting to give a gift in their own way for the traveler, except for 1 character.
Kaeya, who had one of the shortest lines for birthdays, simply mentions that the day is worth celebrating... and that he hopes the day would bring you true happiness.
Considering how Diluc's 18th birthday ended, and how Kaeya, from his 18th, till his 2021 letter to us, spent his birthdays in a lonely and depressed state, this short but sweet birthday message for us holds so much more value than what many expect.

Y'all don't even know how crazy things have gotten in Romania since the presidential elections were cancelled. 6 people were arrested today for treason because they were being paid by the Russians to attempt to get Romania out of NATO.
Arrested for treason in 2025. Incredibly cringe. 19th-century-ass crime.
I don't even understand how, out of all the countries in which Russians did election interference, we're the ones it didn't work on. Baffling.

#— ai rambles#sorry guys i’m still stuck here but i think these additions and that thread shed so much light on the deeper meaning behind gege’s latest#sketch of satoru’s genpuku ceremony that i just had to share it here with you all#im spiraling so bad bc the distinction between genpuku and seijin no hi is so important even though gege put that ? there#like hes just a guy 😭 but like him choosing the former rly speaks volumes about the tone and weight of that moment#to me it looks like seijin no hi is like more personal and celebratory while genpuku is a public and duty bound ritual#it’s not just about becoming and adult it’s sort of a contract and stepping into service taking on responsibilities and pledging loyalty to#the clan 🥲#so for satoru this moment wasn’t symbolic it was binding#now his short hair makes so much more sense bc it wasn’t just a style choice#it was part of a rigid formal performance of identity expected from the heir of one of the big three clans#the name change thing is mind blowing to me like WHAT DO U MEAN#did satoru have another name before that? bc that’s just so sad 🥲#if satoru is the name he took on at genpuku then it’s not just a name but a role and that just makes him all the more tragic#like he’s long buried that younger self in service of the one who could carry the weight of being the strongest 🥲#also i think the clans have their own private education systems like satoru didn’t need to attend jujutsu tech but he CHOSE to#that in itself is a subtle act of rebellion and so the genpuku basically is the clans last attempt at control to symbolically tether him#back to his roots and the irony is so heartbreaking bc by accepting the genpuku satoru traded lifelong obligation for the freedom to attend#school outside of clan jurisdiction it’s literally tragedy hidden in plain sight that satoru’s autonomy always came at a cost#that part with kento shot me dead bc once again this sketch of gege isn’t just for nothing#ofc there’s something deeper in it 😭#GEGE WHEN I CATCH YEOOWWW#[ ♡ ] — satoru

Jupiter's primary weapon is a rapier, in my mind. Fencing was one of his random Wunsoc classes (you can only take like one class on being a Witness let's be real) when he was a junior scholar and he liked it so much he kept it up well beyond his school years (maybe one of his thousand activities is a Nevermoor's fencing club). When he joined the League and had to have a way to defend himself in case of trolls or whatever, so he took up the rapier because the skillet is similar

sometimes writing fanfiction means completely mentally renovating a building's layout so your plans can even remotely make sense in it and that's okay

admin and applications
being unemployed is a lot of work! so much admin! i've tackled the most urgent bits and will tackle more tomorrow. after last week i realised that it's important i go do that work in some public place when possible because otherwise it'll encroach on my evenings
applying for jobs is also so weird. i oscillate between i'd like to do this job and it would be too challenging and i actually only want to work part time and not nearly full time

sorry but like, as someone who doesn't vibe with fem!sub stuff and always ends up dislking fandom obsession with the man in any relationship being a Dominant Daddy Top containing more macho tendencies than personality . . i do also think that framing people liking violence in their sexual fantasies as worrying is um. worrying in and of itself.
like yeah logan being Like That in 'x reader' Old Man Logan stuff seems very ooc to me, too. but i also like animalism and brutality and violence in sex as well, and these things are not inherently abusive or "near rapist" by themselves in fictional portrayals of kink.
i don't hc logan as the macho dom! a lot of fandom for some reason considers "common consensus fanon" lmfao, but i also think that the fine line of fighting and fucking and violence and animalism is something viscerally satisfying to explore in fiction and especially kink. and characters like logan - who do actually have some solid connections to such themes - are some of the best outlets for that.
#anyways i know i joke about “are the straights okay” stuff because fans like to act like it's somehow common#for people to think about the male characters like that#especially when it's a het ship lol#but also it's not actually worrying to post violent sex in and of itself i'm sorry#like if the “violent animalistic” sex is worrying your poor heart then perhaps consider why. that is#like i can't believe i had to see fictional kink described as 'near rape'#logan howlett#wolverine#old man logan#discourse#negative#yes this is a vaguepost no i don't know who it is#in fact i have already forgotten the blog name and i also don't care#but i see this reflected a lot in the younger generation of fandom and it's like. calm down#this stuff is not actually 'worrying'#you don't need to be worrying for these people because of their wild kinky sex fantasies lmfao#like yeah i don't like logan portrayed that way#but that's because i think it's far more appealing to see that raw violence done to him instead#so 🤷#also fighting as fucking is a classic#and violence as transformation and animalism being representative of personal struggle and self id is also classic#and you know what. sometimes its just hot#- when it's done to the man. that is 😉#anyways my hot to take is that logan is a bottom and a switch#and the only reason people say it's '''''obvious'''''' he's a service top is. suprise surprise. gender profiling and internal bias 🤷#with the addition of fanon interpretations of logan overriding his canon personality#like how people project more macho bullshit onto him than he actually possesses lmfao

With Mogtober around the corner, I wanted to share:
If you want to do more prompts, such as tackle a 31-prompt list for the whole month, or just don’t like the prompts and want to do other ones, I have this spreadsheet that I usually pull the prompt lists from if you want ideas. Or, if you’ve had any Nevermoor ideas for things floating around in your head that you’ve been meaning to get to, you can also just take Mogtober as an opportunity to do that. The main goal is always just to have fun!!
