I need everyone upset about Liam's promotion to understand that it had nothing to do with him being better/worse than Yuki. Yuki outperformed him. Yuki deserved the chance. BUT Yuki is not a Redbull driver. He is a Honda driver. He has no loyalty to Redbull and that is why he did not get a chance next to Max. It's not that he didn't deserve it. It's pure business.

Redbull are ending their relationship with Honda. They are creating their own engines. It's likely seen as a big liability to Redbull to have Yuki actively involved in any tests or even near anything involving the 2026 engine.

This is not an attack on Yuki or his character or anything like that, so please do not take it that way. But, Yuki's loyalty to a different engine manufacturer is a major risk to any new manufacturer like the Ford/Redbull powertrain. You just never know. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve a good drive, but Yuki's loyalty will forever be to Honda (as it should) and that poses a lot of risks for Redbull.

Once again, I am not commenting on Yuki's character or making assumptions about him when I say this, but there are a lot of big concerns if he gets promoted. He could ditch them for Aston immediately because Honda asks, he could share information about the new engine to Honda, or he could give questionable feedback that negatively impacts the new powertrain. Maybe he wouldn't do these things. But if there's even the most miniscule potential that he could, it would make any team hesitant. F1 is rampant with cheating allegations and questionable tactics to win. The teams will want to protect themselves in any eventuality. And that is what's working against Yuki so greatly.

Yuki has proven to be a very competent driver over the past year, but let's not forget that he nearly lost his seat in 2023 and the rumored reason he stayed is due to Honda. He owes his career to Honda, not Redbull. And at the end of the day, that's his main flaw within this team. It's not his driving. It's not his temper. It's not anything else. It's purely who he is aligned to poltically in the racing world. Is that fair? No. Is that how racing works? Unfortunately, yes.

Okay this is the *actual* last comment, for real, but I just found out Spider is now smearing me as a convert and accusing me of being involved with drama I was not involved with because he mistakenly attributed my apologies for his public temper tantrum as being about something unrelated.

THIS IS A FALSE ACCUSATION and I do not appreciate having yet another bit of fake malicious intent falsely ascribed to my actions and* attributing a completely unrelated attack to me.

Also, it's very sad and disappointing whenever a Jew gets mad at a convert because something else is going on in the Jew's life and the convert happens to be in the splash zone and the Jew falls over backwards to smear the convert and invalidate her faith.

why can beastzai comfortably kill himself permanently where canon dazai doesn’t?

beastzai just makes me sad but i like the implications it leaves about canonverse dazai tho those implications can also just be drawn out from canon itself

- (canon) dazai knows how to kill himself in a meaningful way but avoids doing so; if he’s had previous, sincere attempts, theyve consistently been foiled

- tho dazai might seem like a grey character he sees the world through binary opposites/black and white, which is applicable to beast in the sense that dazai’s search for a purpose in life has two possible outcomes: fulfillment and lack of fulfillment. in his own eyes, dazai’s life is useless or useful - if useful, and his purpose is carried out and seen through, then dazai’s life has no meaning anymore, leaving him to die in peace. dazai is successful killing himself in beast when he isnt in canon verse because he has fulfilled his purpose and believes he extricated himself thoroughly enough from the lives of ppl he cares about that his death will have no long lasting emotional impact. said reason for living was to save oda and ensure the world was fit for him to survive in

- then, maybe in his earlier years his desire to find a reason to live could be considered a survival tactic, unknown to even himself. without a distinct purpose to fulfill dazai can’t truly feel that he is “done” or “finished”, and oda’s wish for him to live on the side of light has no real end. where dazai would otherwise see desire to live as a scale with two distinct sides (fulfillment/lack of fulfillment) oda’s wish bypasses the scale altogether and has no discernible end, thus dazai cant be fully fulfilled and feel comfortable enough to successfully kill himself.

to 16 year old dazai, young and extreme in the way teenagers are (i dont say that in a mocking way or one that makes light of the teenage experience) he had finally found a goal when he received the onslaught of memories of canon dazai, a goal he was so desperate to see through that it both countered his apathy while exacerbating his self sacrificial mindset and behaviors. dazai sees himself as a vehicle of action rather than a human, which persists in canon verse too. dazai is less the person moving the pawns and more of a pawn moving the other pawns in the “right” direction - he wants to make it so that his removal from the chess board will not impact his side’s victory, that things are done the way they need to be that his broad goal, whatever that may be, is reached with or without him. but that vehicle is all he is (in his mind) - where other people are distinctly human, he will only ever be a pawn, entirely depersonalized, and thats only exacerbated in beast

thing is canon dazai doesn’t really counter this extreme way of viewing things but at the stage he’s at now he can’t simply remove himself from the lives of everybody he knows. people rely on him, they need him, they like him, and he can’t just pull away without consequence. even if his personality is greatly exaggerated and his amenability to expressing vulnerability is still extremely low he does not have the choice of being a mere vehicle of action anymore because of his awareness that people care for him

so, wary as he is of not having that control over his life, of not feeling like he can comfortably die whenever he wants, dazai’s always wanted to feel human and be perceived as human, and he likes having people to protect. even if hes scared that theyll face the consequences of being associated with him dazai will ensure theyre safe which is.. a really broad and almost endless goal to take on !and he is aware its a group effort instead of a scheme that can be seen through by a mastermind. he needs to communicate with the people he cares about (ADA), needs to have faith theyll protect each other just like theyll protect him, even if his instinct fights against it and hes scared to leave things, tasks, etc in hands other than his own

im not saying dazais particularly good at being vulnerable or relying on other people and i think his mindset is still unhealthy and self sacrificial but canon dazai is so embedded in the ADA in a way beastzai wasnt in the PM at age 16. beastzai had the option to “[erase] himself from the narrative” (i love this phrase i stole it from hamilton) but canon dazai quite literally does not. hes in too deep!

You know those videos people make where, after giving birth, they call their relatives who had no idea they'd given birth?? I've been seeing a bunch of them on my instagram and I began wondering, would any of my OC's do this? Probably not

Then I thought about Chikara and, yeah, she would totally do this for the lols

I like to HC that Powerloader aids more in natural disasters, things like land slides and such and helping in evacuation/search and rescue in the city. One day, Higari is called away out of the city to help with a landslide incident - it's a BIG job: houses have been destroyed, the landslide has covered nearly half a town, and many people are both injured and missing. They estimate they're going to be gone for at least two months

Originally, it was only supposed to be Higari who left, but Ectoplasm was called in last minute to aid in the search and rescue with his clones. Chikara - pregnant at the time - is probably living at UA for safety reasons and bids the two good luck and goodbye as they leave for their hero work.

Time passes and Higari and Ectoplasm return home. Classes at UA haven't quite finished, but there's only about an hour of school left so the two decide to just go back to the teachers dorms. Chikara is in the kitchen, and greets them over her shoulder, and while Higari is explaining the details of their mission Chikara turns around with Hoshi in her arms and the following situation happens:

Higari: -and that's not even talking about the amount of damage to the town! Even the houses that are still standing are halfway to rubble-

Chikara: (turns, Hoshi in her arms) Yeesh, sounds exhausting

Higari/Ecto: (gawking).....

Chikara:...(continues to play obliviousness to their shock) So you hit any traffic on the way back?-

Higari: (aggressively points to Hoshi) No the FUCK you didn't!!

Later on, after much questioning from Higari and after Chikara had stopped laughing at his face, this conversation followed:

Higari: (angrily but mostly concerned) Why didn't you call or text me?! What if something happened!!

Chikara: Relax Higari, nothing happened! It all went smoothly

Higari: Why didn't you TELL me?! I woulda come home sooner!

Chikara: (cheshire cat grin) Because there is no way you're ever going to be able to top this surprise with any type of prank you can pull~

Higari: (scowling).............(sighs) Why are you like this?
