With abilities similar to his and Wanda’s but not physically the same you found it better to stay in a building that was safe for your well being where you could openly use your abilities at free will without any repercussion.

Originally you and strange were just close friends but after several years of living with one another his hear found something more in you now that he had freed his mind of Christine, of course he was happy for her but it was finally his time to feel happy with someone.

He felt so much more himself when he finally got the courage to ask you out, since than everything has felt perfect… well mostly perfect.

You desperately wanted him to know about your coping mechanism but past relationships had ended specifically because of it, thankfully he was a very respectful and understanding person so when it came to your personal room he never entered knowing there want anything important in there for him to know about, he just assumed it was a quiet space or a hobby room, if he really wanted to know he would just ask.

That is until today.

He had left for a four day mission, its only been two so as it was you still have two days where you can openly regress around the sanctum with no question, as Wong was on a little mission of his own.

While the fox and the hound play on your tv to fill the silence, you sit on the floor with your collections of build a bears and other stuffie’s akin and all the bear clothing you’ve collected sprawled out on the floor, dressing and undressing them making each one look perfect, paring them up with one another making buddies, friends and significant others, you were originally just gonna play dress up with them but that got put to the side when you imagined them at an avengers like party, lucky you have avengers outfits for your bears so its perfect, taking your favorite teddy’s you make them look like captain America, iron man, black widow, and a few of the others, not having all of the costumes but that’s okay.

You pick the meanest looking teddy, you have him walking around in the collection of all the others when he gets big and mean, you imagine him yelling and than in comes all the avengers quickly getting everyone to safety, the bad bear is trying to hold his side but the avengers taking him down easily.

After that the game was basically done so you pick up two of your favorite stuffies who are always paired together making them fly around the room, the room being fairly large you had plenty of space to walk around as if you’re chasing them.

You had no idea strange was home early, he had called out for you several times, walking around the main rooms looking for you, when he finally heard your giggles and trills and the soft murmur of a movie in the background.

You making sound effects, you were so lost in your world and it intrigued him, he had knocked three different times and you apparently hadn’t heard it so he opened the door just enough to check in on you, what he saw didn’t entirely surprise him, he knew you had trauma from several places in your life especially abandonment so it made sense that being here alone would need coping mechanisms. He knows exactly what age regression is, a smile big on his face and his heart swelling with love as you walk around your room following your stuffies as you make them fly, with a flick of his hand their movements were now in his control.

Flying them wildly around the room causing you to chase them around the room trying to get them back.

Surely your stuffies had grown minds of their own and were actually playing with you, that was what you thought until your foot caught the edge of the rug and sent you falling forward, pulling your arms to your chest and your eyes clenching shut, this is why you don’t want to be an avenger, you freeze, when you’re in danger your mind blanks and expects the fall. Why haven’t you fallen you question, opening your eyes you see an orange glow surrounding your.

Looking over to the door in a panic your body rushes cold, this cant happen, he cant see you like this.

He uses his magic to carefully set you down on the center of the rug as he steps further into the room.

He sees the panic in your eyes and the silent tears running down your cheeks, you’re curling in on yourself, he picks up one of the two stuffies from the floor bringing it to you, you scooting back, your mind clouded with everything that has happened in the past when people found out about your regression, his demeanor meant nothing in the face of admitting what you’re doing.

“I’m sorry” you mutter, he bends down to you, sitting on his haunches, going to place one hand under your chin, your eyes clenching shut until you feel the gentlest touch, the slightest tremor lifting your look, “my love, its okay, there is no need to hide or fear from me”

He moves to put the stuffy in your lap, taking both hands to wipe away your tears, moving to sit down on the floor, pulling you into his lap, holding you close, hushing your whimpers, slowly but surely soothing you back to a calm sense.

Looking up at him once again, feeling slightly bigger than before but still small, “how d’you know bout it?”.

“Pumpkin, you’re not the first little I’ve met, its very common for people in constant high stress and trauma to cope by regressing, its especially common with mental illness and chronic pain”.

“S’that why you so nice right now?”

Chuckling to himself shaking his head, “my love, that may be one of many reasons but its not the big one, the big one is because I love you, there is nothing of you that would upset or bother me, if being small is what helps than I support you ten fold”

A smile slowly casting Its way across your cheeks, turning into him, wrapping your arms tightly around him, it was finally okay to be you, you can finally feel completely and utterly yourself.

“Thank you” you whisper. “There is no need to thank me my love. Can you tell me how old you are?”

Shaking your head than letting it rest upon his shoulder “dunno how old, m’ jus small but not tiny right now”.

Nodding while rubbing your back, “that’s okay well figure it all out together”.

The rest of your day was filled with plenty of cuddles, cartoons and nap together.

This felt entirely like a new possibility of happiness.

My brain is all over the place so I'm gonna mix n match my stuff with the only common theme being Buggy and hyperfixation.

But like. Age regression. Not the funky cool supernatural kind in fiction, the coping mechanism (I like the fiction ones too tho but for this, it's coping mechs)

Just. Buggy and Shanks both having had a frankly RIDICULOUS amount of childhood trauma and both turning to different methods to cope. Buggy got introduced to age regression both bc he already kinda sorta did t involuntarily without KNOWING and then when he brought on some people to his crew with experience in psychology and therapy for whatever reason.

He got dragged to self care hours, kicking and screaming at first and then more willingly. Turns out the "off vibes" were actually severe psychological distress, PTSD, etc. Who knew? Anyway yeah.

Cabaji, Mohji and Ritchie were the ones who were first aware of Buggy's "fuzzy episodes" as he called it. Was hard not to be in close quarters on a tiny ass ship holding three nearly grown men and a growing lion. As the crew grew, even when they got the Big Top, they were still mostly aware of things. Ritchie in particular always seemed to just... Know when Buggy was blurred out and needed a hand. Or to have smth to cuddle and pet.

Mohji actually brings it up in HIS therapy sessions without naming names. Just "hey how can I help with [x,y,z]?" There's some hums and haws before finally herspist is like "sounds like it could be anything, so I can't definitively say. Keep doing whatever has worked so far, I guess,but take care of yourself too. Maybe recommend your friend talk to a professional, like me or one of the other doctors."

Buggy is vehemently against it for a good while until he finally reaches a point that he's getting frustrated. He's scared and mad and decides he'll ACTUALLY consider it - then during one of his own sessions, he gets triggered into a panic attack, which spirals due to exhaustion into him just... clicking out. Surprise. Looks like it's happening whether he wants it or not.

Through this and subsequent meetings and experimenting, he gets told that what he's doing is a blend of regression and dissociation. They decide to try to separate thebtwo to see if maybe they can turn this from a defense to a decompression method.

Buggy still can count on one hand the number of people he trusts to know this - but it does help. He's doing... a lot better actually, with this. It doesn't fix everything, but it DOES help him stay steady enough to work on the things that need fixing. Cabaji, Mohji, Ritchie, and later Alvida are also finding themselves enjoying the time they spend together when Buggy wants or needs company. They also start picking up on some smaller things about Buggy that have turned the odd quirks and strange habits into smth more, start getting puzzle pieces to the bigger picture.

They secretly start a hit list but that's for another time.

Impel Down was an absolute hot mess, and the recovering from that and the subsequent summit war was not pretty. Just when things started coasting again on slightly smoother waters, Crocodile and Mihawk show up with the instatement of the Cross Guild.

but nyways heres some hcs i believe in!!!!! reg!peter whos cgs are tony, doctor strange, & captain america, but has babysitters like thor, black widow, bucky, etc!! when thor cant watch after pete though he gets loki (who is actually surprisingly amazing with children) to watch for him.

reg!miles, the arachkids are all flips but miles & gwen tend to lean to regressors more, cg!gwen is usually the one to watch after him but when shes regressed as well, cg!hobie & cg!pavitr watch them both together!!! pavitr sometimes also invited gayatri, who is his own caregiver for when hes regressed!!

reg!peter1 would sometimes regress around cg!peter2 & cg!peter3!! he also sometimes regresses around deadpool (who doesnt know barely anything about agere but he would 100% support those who cope that way) but cg!tony watches him from afar knowing hes a merc n stuff LOL

nick & charlie (heartstopper) are both flips, however nick regresses more often while charlie takes care of him more often. :3 cg!charlie plays animal jam n stuff with reg!nick!!

reg!nick likes to play games a lot n usually regresses to around 0-7 years old, and reg!charlie tends to regress to 4-6 !!

Youd spent the week in and out of your little headspace, it wouldn’t set in completely, nothing worked, you had tried so much already, from bubble baths with bath crayons to movies with your stuffies, nothing worked, youd been waiting so patiently for your boyfriend to return from his mission.

Not being fully your big age nor your little age and constantly shifting made you feel uneasy but the best idea was to try and get some rest, settle the storm in mental difference by focusing on neither instead.

Turning on your comfort show you don’t even have to actually watch it anymore just the sound of it brings you comfort at this point, and thankfully so because within a few minutes of your head hitting the pillow you were out.

Due to your headspace not setting in you’d been lacking sufficient sleep so the idea of him being home soon brought a very excited wave of sleep over you, needing the rest so you can spend lots of time with him, he’s hours away from being back and coming over to your apartment, he practically lived here now.

Having been so tired you didn’t realize you’d slept through his messages, your alarm and the smell of breakfast.

The smell of breakfast? You put two and two together, the smell of breakfast means he’s home!

Hopping up out of bed a grin from ear to ear spread wide across your face, a childlike glow in you eyes, wandering slowly through the hall to the living room, peering in to the kitchen to see your boyfriend, your caregiver dressed comfortably, something no one else has ever seen but something so simple you’ve grown used to.

Excitement overflowing, you finally give in to the urge to get closer, it feels as though you’re dreaming and once you finally get close enough to touch him you’ll wake up and it’ll be back to day one of his mission.

Just a step away your mind feeling smaller and the clock ticks he’s more than aware that you’ve been in the room but wanted you to initiate the contact knowing it’s a big thing to process, constantly worried your mind is deceiving you. Your mind is paralyzing, stuck and he knows.

“G,mornin love, I promise im actually here” he soothes turning to you, letting you fall comfortably into his hold, the tremble in his hands telling you that its all real, melting against him, arms wrapped tight around his waist.

“You’re just in time, all the food has to do now is cool down for a few and the biscuits in the oven have to finish up, you have my undivided attention” rubbing your back he leads you to the island, helping you up onto the counter

“Missed you, so much, don’t like when you’re gone”

“I know my little prince, I don’t like having to leave either, I miss my bubs when I’m not with him”

Tickling your sides, a shrill giggle erupting from you, legs kicking a trying to wiggle away

“There’s that smile again my happy boy, you stay put for just a moment”

Nodding you watch as he turns around, switching off the stove and oven, pulling the biscuits from the oven and grabbing a couple plates.

He than heads off to the fridge grabbing fresh fruit and drinks.

Right on time your tummy growled announcing to the room that you were indeed ready for breakfast, that’s your cue to hop down, now listening to your thoughts already forgetting what he said, but not to worry, you’re not completely little right now, you grab one plate setting it near the stove, filling it with a fare share of your favorite breakfast, taking the other and carefully dishing out the same moving on the biscuits trying to pick one up, it takes a moment and a good tug, the bottom of them is stuck to the pan, you finally get the first one off, going for a second one you gotta pull as well and by instinct you pant your other hand down on the baking sheet to stabilize it.

A sharp burning hot sensation seers through your skin, pulling you hand away quickly, your eyes welling with tears you bite down on your tongue, doing your best not to cry, but your daddy saw it happen, he heard the clatter of the pan and saw your eyes glisten with tears.

He quickly sets everything down rushing over to you, “oh my prince that was hot, I’m so sorry baby, here let daddy see” he reaches out and just as quickly you turn away cradling your hand, “no don touch, is hurtin” you whimper.

“I know baby but we gotta make sure its not gonna need medicine, daddy is a doctor and he’s burnt himself many times, I can make it feel better, just gotta let daddy take care of you”

Thinking for a moment you reluctantly turn to him letting him look at it, taking your hand in his he takes a good look and makes a conclusion.

“just gotta clean it up, put some burn cream and wrap it up, it’ll be good as new in no time” he leads you to the sink running the water as soft as he can, scared the cold water will hurt even more you flinch when you feel it bit realize its warm water, after a moment he turns the temperature down a little cooling the burn slowly but surely, by the time you get to cold water your hand has finally started to feel more normal.

He than leads you to the bathroom finding the Neosporin.

Leading you to sit down on the lid of the toilet, he takes your hand gently into his own, opening the Neosporin and putting a decent glob onto the tip of his finger, his trembly hand goes to carefully lather up your owie but as soon as he touches your hand you pull back a little.

“I know baby boy but its important for it to heal and feel better, can you take a biiiig deep breath for daddy? “ nodding you take a big breath and he quickly smooth’s the ointment onto your hand, taking a piece of gauze, setting upon the owie and wrapping it up.

“Good job baby! Perfect job for daddy, such a brave boy, how bout we watch cartoons while eating breakfast as a treat hm?” You take off back to the kitchen, grabbing your sippy of juice and plopping yourself down on the couch, his cloak comes moseying into the room bringing your favorite stuffie, followed by your cg with breakfast.

All you wanted to do was relax into your headspace today so after breakfast you spent plenty of time building cities, knocking them down, and building more, at one point you even built the stark tower with help from your daddy, which he took a picture of you still in your cozy jammies and big hoodie putting the last piece of the tower on top.

You watched movies, cuddled and he even took a nap with you instead of putting you down for a nap and doing house work, you head resting ontop of his chest, the rhythmic rise and fall and the thrum of his heart putting you to sleep.

And just like stated your burn healed up in no time.

Talking with May and Mr. Stark

Just a little thing I wrote. I’m not sure why. Sometimes I just like Spiderhunter a lot as a cute ship. 

“So tell us Jim, what are things like on your world?” Mr Stark said. He and May were leaning on the couch together. “Dr. Strange and I are still working on mapping out as many of the parallel universes and dimensions that we have access to from this one.”

“Yeah tell us all about yourself!” May said, leaning forward excitedly. 

Peter watched the two nervously. Individually his aunt and his mentor could be very intense. Together they were a force to be reckoned with. And he knew that Mr. Stark could sometimes come across as very abrasive. He didn’t want Jim to feel over whelmed. 

“Do you want me to tell you about my world or about me?” Jim asked. He and Peter were sitting next to each other on another couch. Jim had his arm casually over Peter’s shoulders. 

“Your world-” 

“Your self-”

Mr. Stark and May spoke at the same time, then looked at each other and laughed. Jim smiled as well. 

“How about I start with a little bit of both?” Jim said, his smile showed off more of his tusks. He ran his hands through his hair  between his horns as he gathered his thoughts. A move that Peter never failed to find enduring. 

“Well I was primarily raised by my mom. She’s a doctor.” Jim started to explain. 

“What happened to your father?” Mr. Stark asked. May elbowed him, but the question was already out. 

“My dad left us when I was five. Walked out on my birthday.” Jim whispered the last part. Peter knew his dad was a sore subject that he didn’t like bringing up. 

Mr. Stark immediately sat forward. 

“He-he walked out!?” He looked furious. Peter immediately jumped in before he work himself into a real state. 

“Mr. Stark you can’t jump into another dimension just to scold Jim’s dad! You don’t even know if your molecules will remain stable there.”

He sat back with his arms crossed, clearly still annoyed. May put her hand on his arm. 

“Absentee dads are a bit of sore topic around here.” She said. 

“I just don’t know why a person would have a kid if they aren’t planning on actually caring for it! Doing their best to be there for it!”

“Well Tony, it looks like Jim has become a fine hero without his father in his life.”

“Yeah. Actually there is a big lack of supportive father figures in hero work. I wonder if growing up without a dad makes you want to be a hero.” Peter said, deep in thought. “We should text Captain America and his Bucky and ask about their dads!”

“OH that might be a conversation for another time!” May said quickly before either Peter or Mr. Stark went any further. “Please continue Jim.”

“Well when I got to high school, my friend Toby and I were biking to school and we took a short cut through the canals because we were running late. And we found an amulet in a pile of rubble.”

Jim h teld up the Amulet of Daylight. Mr Stark looked at it closely, Peter was sure he was trying to think about power sources or upgrades. 

“The amulet called my name. And it turns out magic exists? That was a bit of a shock.”

Peter laughed. “Yeah same in our universe! I was super surprised when Dr Strange did magic in front of me the first time.”

“I still say that the magic is simply some form of science we don’t understand yet.” Mr. Stark huffed. 

“I should have you talk to Dr Strange next! Maybe you two can compare notes on how magic works in your two worlds!” Peter said excitedly. “Maybe he’ll let me borrow a sling ring and bring it into your world!”

“What’s a sling ring?” Jim asked, turning to face his boyfriend. 

“Its this magical thing that allows you to generate shields and weapons, and even portals.”

“Oh, No way!” Jim shook his head, vehemently. “No portals. Claire was possessed when she used the shadow staff to create a portal.”

“Maybe we can save the magic for another time then.” May said with a strained smile. “Now if you two are done interrupting I am trying to find out more about my nephew’s boyfriend!”

May stared down both Peter and Mr. Stark. They looked away and after a moment of silence Jim cleared his throat then continued. 

“Anyways, i was called to be the Trollhunter. The guardian and protector of all good trolls, sworn to fight any Gummm-gumm that dared show its face. 

if someone wants, I can do some more for this. It’s just a short unfinished thing that I wanted to write. I wanted to see Peter and Tony nerding out over dimensional physics, Tony being protective of Jim, and Peter and Jim just laughing and having fun as teen agers.
