I refuse to get over this photo.

The close up, the dimension, her wrinkles and skin texture, her eyes, the light!
She is an absolute goddess

Hating your gray hairs is a psyop
They are literally silver & sparkle in the sunlight
Gray hair is
Beautiful
And no one can ever convince me otherwise

I cant wait to get old and get wrinkles and moles and smile lines and a bad hip or two because it means I’ve lived, I’ve walked, I’ve dreamed, I’ve smelled flowers and petrol and I’ve read books and I’ve cried and I’ve hated people and people have loved me and I’ve loved some of them back. My proof of living, of life, is written on my face. Maybe not all of it ive been happy for, but all of it ive lived through.

Anti aging culture is abelist
I don't get to grow old.
I can't afford that bullshit anyway.
I won't get to see my smile lines that prove I was a happy person.
I won't experience the gift of age.
I'll never get to look in the mirror in 70 years and see that I am alive and thriving.
I'd be beyond grateful to grow old.
Because it's more than some wrinkles. It's proof I survived.

To the people who draw older characters and intentionally leave out the wrinkles, who photoshop pictures of celebrities to smooth out the texture of their face, who create mods to make older characters in video games look young:
I hope you have a very unpleasant day. I hope you step on a Lego, and, while you're still reeling from that, you step on a second, pointier Lego. I hope your socks are somehow always wet. I hope an old friend messages you because they want to sell you on their MLM. I hope you go to take a shower and all of the hot water is gone.
But most of all, I hope that, in 20 years, when your skin is lined and scarred and starting to sag—a canvas of aging imperfection—you've learned to love yourself by then. And, in the meantime, I hope that thought teaches you grace.
Because wrinkles are beautiful. Grey hair is beautiful. Nasolabial folds are beautiful. Aging is proof that, despite everything, we are still here, and that, too, is beautiful.

why are so many people, particularly women, so afraid of aging? some spend ridiculous amounts of money on products in an attempt to look younger. i just don't understand why society has decided that aging is a bad thing. it's nothing to be ashamed of. aging is natural. aging is beautiful. you don't have to hide it!

It's too fucking early for me to be thinking but uhm. The other day I found out apparantly some teenagers are so scared of getting old they dread turning 20? At twenty years old they beleive their life is over. Babe your life is just STARTING! I'm EXCITED to turn 20! I'll take it a step further and say I'm excited to grow old! I'm gonna be an old, wrinkly, balding man and STILL BE SEXY AS HELL AND ROCKING IT LIVING LIFE THE WAY I WANT. We 👏 Should 👏 Not 👏 Be 👏 Teaching 👏 Kids 👏 That 👏 Its 👏 Bad 👏 To 👏 Get 👏 Older!

„Anti-Aging?“ no, I’m pro-choice actually.
Constantly and aggressively frowns while smiling concerningly widely and also squinting my eyes to wrinkle-max

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.
