⭐️ TOP 10 READS ⭐️

I wasn't really dabbling with the book community when I picked up reading again in September 2023 but now in January 2024, I've read 32 books (not a lot but I'm picking up speed finally!) and here are my TOP 10 reads so far on my reading journey 💘📚

Starting at #10...

#10: ICEBREAKER | Hannah Grace

This was one of the first books I read. It was also my first sports romance. I didn't think hockey would be it for me but WOWZA did Nate Hawkins change me. His and Stassie's relationship was a quick one that took my breath away. The spice? You wouldn't have convinced me of the fllth in this book when I picked it up. Honestly, the pages moaned when I opened them. Such a good read! Highly recommend. I'm currently reading WILDFIRE (Russ and Aurora's story) and cannot WAIT for Henry's book! He was my favorite side character 💘

#9: SECRETLY YOURS | Tessa Bailey

Secretly Yours was my introduction to Tessa Bailey who has honestly become one of my top 5 authors. I love her writing style. A third person typically isn't my cup of tea, but Tessa can change you. This was a great take on a little grumpy x mega sunshine action. Julian Vos is a sucker for his girl and secretly a little freak too. Absolutely loved this! Also, I loved the secret admirer letters back and forth. So good.

#8: Unfortunately Yours | Tessa Bailey

This is the second book after Secretly Yours. This follows Julian's sister, Natalie, and August Cates. We meet both of these people in Secretly Yours. There's nothing I love more than a marriage of convenience trope with a little splash of enemies to lovers, but knowing that the MMC has fallen in love first. August Cates? He is a WHOLE MAN. An ex-Marine who is set to keep his late best friend's vineyard dreams alive, his and Natalie's explosive relationship is a succulent read... And in the bedroom? Well, let's just say. He makes it fit. 🔥

#7: ADDICTED TO YOU | Krista & Becca Ritchie

The first book in the Calloway Sisters series follows two very complicated people, Loren Hale and Lily Calloway. Best friends since childhood who both face terrible addictions (Loren is an alcoholic and Lily is a sex addict), they've been playing their families for years that they've been together. They do this so they can help others hide their addictions. But when everything blows up and each realizes the other does have a problem, everything goes south. This book had me in tears. It is emotionally tragic and I adore LiLo SO much. I've read Ricochet and am going to start the 3rd book either this month or in February... Also, you may just fall in love with Connor Cobalt. I said what I said 💗

#6: FLAWLESS | Elsie Silver

When in doubt, remember what Big & Rich said. Save a horse, ride a cowboy. If you wear the hat, you ride the cowboy. My first cowboy romance ever and I was hooked from the very first page. We meet Rhett Eaton, a playboy bull rider with a hatred for milk unlike no other. He needs his reputation fixed and handled. Enter Summer. The most sunshiney person you'd ever meet gives this bull rider a run for his money. And the sex? Oh wowza. It's so good.

#5: A COURT OF THORNS & ROSES | SJM

My introduction to ACOTAR started off strong. I adored Tamlin (if you know, you know) we follow Feyre Archeron and her journey. I can't say much except you need to read this. It is one of the best series I've ever read, which is why my next 4 are ACOTAR too.

#4: A COURT OF MIST & FURY | SJM

ahhhhhhHHHHHH. I CRIED LIKE A BABY. RHYS?? Rhys is my husband. I can't help it.

#3: A COURT OF WINGS & RUIN | SJM

I cried even harder reading this one. Again, I can't spoil it.

#2: A COURT OF SILVER FLAMES | SJM

This is by far my FAVORITE. I am a Nesta girly. Deep down, out of all the Archeron sisters, I relate to Nesta the most. And Cassian is my favorite bat boy... Gah lay. I cannot wait for Azriel's book.

#1: HAUNTING ADELINE | H.D. CARLTON

My number one book... Is Haunting Adeline. I don't want to hear any negativity. This book changed me. I've got so many book boyfriends, but Zade Meadows beats them all. He is unstoppable. This book had me screaming at the top of my lungs and had me fighting for air. Zade had me questioning everything about myself. He is the dark boyfriend for me. I have Hunting Adeline and desperately want to read, but was trying to get through some of my TBR. I started it and cried by the third chapter so I had to put it down because I just KNOW Hunting will wreck me.

Damian getting age regressed somehow for a period of time. And fuck everyone else, this pup wants Jason.

Hell or high water, Damian will have his omega au pair.

And Jason is 😳 because like, what the hell why?

Because he doesn't remember that he raised this pup ;A; He honestly assumes Damian is drawn to him because Jason is the only omega in a manor full of alphas.

But Damian remembers his omega. Always and forever. He recognizes Jason by scent even if Jason has forgotten his.

But of course although Jason's mind has forgotten, his body remembers this little pup that cuddles up to him so easily. Caring for him comes so natural - it's actually really heartwarming and beautiful

The pup tries nursing off of Jason? Dick hides his face in the steeple of his hands because 1) beautiful and 2) omg be appropriate be appropriate you foul alpha heathen you

Dick catching Jason smelling the top of pup!Damian's head and holding him like the dear and precious pup he is? Fuuuuuuuuck Dick is KO'd. He's never wanted to pup someone so bad before damn ittttttttt

Dick seriously just taken out at the knees when Jason so much as sits and colors with Damian - or fuck forbid if they cook together or clean or do any sort of domestic thing

Jason taking Damian on a walk around the manor grounds? Tending to Damian's many animals and holding him so that Damian can play with them safely? Jason laughing so soft and being so gentle when Batcow snuffles at Damian and Damian laughs, too? Dick is off to the family plots. He's done. His heart is in a state of arrest.

All jokes aside, Dick being involved in all those little moments because of course he's not going to leave Damian alone. Though it's an unspoken thing for them, Damian is Dick's pup, however unconventional. So a revisitation of the above:

With Dick offering to hold Damian because the pup has been clinging to Jason for hours. Jason is grateful for it, but when they go to do the tradeoff? Smack.

An actual assault by pup!Damian to alpha!Dick because Dick got too close to Jason. Dick and Jason both being dumbfounded, but then Dick cackles because omg, how cute?? So sweet? Tim get the camera!!

Jason cackling, too. And both Dick and Damian just watching this omega laugh (it's nothing so soft; he's snickering) with so much wonder and awe and adoration. That's what Tim gets a picture of. Brother complex dorks.

It's darling though - how even at this young of an age Damian recognized Jason as his omega. A bit bittersweet though, given Jason doesn't remember anything of this steadfast and heartfelt attachment.

Carrying onwards though - with the nursing. And Jason getting really embarrassed about it while trying to keep Damian away from his chest. Taking little hands in his to pull them away. Holding Damian back by his forehead because Damian is Determined. Yipping when Damian is too quick for him and latches on through Jason's shirt.

And Dick is just there. Shamelessly wide eyed while bearing witness to current events - mind so very far away because Jason. Omega. Tits. Nursing. Milk.

Dick is an alpha. It's no surprise to him that his wants are simple, but for them to be so damn primal? For fuck's sake. Damn if he doesn't want that hot toddy bad though

Dick being a little jealous of Damian when Damian latches on

Jason smelling that jealousy and cutting his gaze to Dick because what the hell? And Dick is just (: because - shit. Exposed.

All jokes aside though, Dick being genuinely captivated with seeing Jason be so soft. For him to treat Damian so gently gives Dick a sense of peace, too. He feels relieved and grateful to know that if even for a time, Damian had something kind in the LoA

Dick walking in on Jason coloring with Damian. It's a bunch of scribbles. When Damian takes the paper and waves it at Dick, Dick takes it and omg Jason laughs at him because 'are you crying?' and 'what? no. shut up.' Then Dick joins them at the table or the bar and Dick humors Damian. Asking him to draw all his favorite things.

(Dick saves the scribbles that Damian gifts to him. Damian gets really embarrassed about them after the fact, but Dick refuses to give them up).

And during this maybe Jason marvels Dick some, too. Just a fond, contented smile because it's always been easy to see how fond Dick is of Damian. The two of them went through a lot during a time when everything hurt. That fondness is still there now. It's soft and tender and affectionate in a way Damian doesn't allow anymore, but it's so damn sweet.

The domestic things omggggggg. Maybe Alfred lets Jason and Damian assist him with baking cookies. And Dick watches from the doorway of the kitchen. Just all sorts of enraptured and endeared.

Something something Damian taking Jason's face in his hands and nuzzling their foreheads - a subtle scenting. When he pulls away, two small flour-white hand prints left on Jason's cheeks.

And Dick falls a bit in love.

Doubly so when Jason catches him watching and beckons him over to help. Getting flour smudged on his own face by Jason - cheeky and playful and ornery.

Damian taking note and doing the same and Dick can't help it he loves this he loves them help

And finally the walking around the manor grounds as they tend to all the animals. Damian in little puppy wellies. ;A; Jason walking slow as Damian teeters along. And Dick comes up alongside them and offers his hand and Damian takes it and Dick and Jason swing him along as they go to play with the dogs and feed the cow and AHHH i love this trope so much

Dick playing tag with Damian and letting Damian 'tackle' Dick to the ground. Rolling them around. Damian being all proud and looking to Jason for praise.

Jason being content to watch up until Dick starts holding the pup and teaching him acro because what

Lots of laughter. Lots of casual chatting as they look after Damian. It's the most they've ever talked, actually. It's the easiest they've ever connected. Dick knows he'll miss it once this is gone. A bittersweet thing because he also misses Damian and wants his pup back.

Jason has always been an omega to be revered. The omega ideal, at least in Dick's eyes. Nothing meek about him except for how he sometimes gets shy and bashful (cute), but beyond that? Jason is fierce, dangerous, safe. A caretaker, a protector.

It's not just Dick that's taken by this turn of events though. Jason most definitely sees how easily Dick falls into this alpha role and it looks so handsome on him that Jason gets a little bashful, a little shy.

But wait, let's get some more plot in here. Because this answer isn't already long enough ahahahaha.

Something something pup!Damian targeted and wounded

Something something feral!omega Jason going to town, but odds are against him and while he's a force of nature when enraged, he's eventually brought down from his own injuries.

But when he goes down he has Damian bundled against and beneath him. Just protective until the very end.

And then there's Dick. (סּ‿סּ✿) Who tracked Jason and Damian by their scent alone and oh ho ho ho~ Dick isn't just feral; he's monstrous. So far gone he doesn't feel any of the violence inflicted on him because he's too busy tearing these fuckers apart for daring to hurt his pup and his ma--

It's an ugly affair at the end. But Jason and Damian are safe so it's fine.

And Jason is there just forcing himself to keep his legs closed and to stop himself from rolling himself into presenting position fuuuuuuuuck him up put a pup in him

Then Damian goes back to normal and the teasing is relentless. But before that:

Dick finding Jason sitting down, pup!Damian held in his arms and laid on his chest.

It's post the above fight where Dick and Jason protected their pup, their pack. They're beat up, but bandaged and recovering.

Dick sitting down beside Jason and they both heave exhausted sighs as they lay their heads over the back cushions, eyes closed until once of them turns to look at the other and the other meets their gaze

A quiet conversation. Gratitude and admiration and wonder. Small smiles and breathy laughter.

Pup!Damian stirring enough to crawl out of Jason's arms and into Dick's. Curling up against Dick - his barred skin, bandaged and bruised and Dick sighs, relieved to hold Damian for himself.

And Jason watches for a bit before resting his head on Dick's shoulder and letting himself find comfort, too

Dick's head dropping to rest his cheek against Jason's hair.

Drifting to sleep together

And come morning - a screech and shoving and thumps on the floor as Damian protests the cuddles because wtf unhand him this instant, Grayson, Todd! )//<

And that should be it. They watch Damian stomp off in an embarrassed tizzy. This is the part where things go back to normal. What weird AU they were living in is gone. But they sit there. Still wounded. Still wanting.

And Jason drops his head back to Dick's shoulder and Dick's breath catches in his chest. His heart skips a beat. He turns his head back into Jason's hair and breathes.

I absolutely adore it!

I run the account Victor-Veloci-Simp-69.

I've been thinking about linking it to my Main, purely bc when I reblog and reply on posts, it shows my main, so it seems like I don't interact with people as my DS account, which makes me sad because it feels like I might be interpreted as standoffish? But I never have time, and it feels insignificant to do so.

I watched the show when I was a kid, then rediscovered it a couple of years ago, and now every few years I rewatch it.

Its not Technically a "good" show but eh. I love it.

I think the reason why I'm so obsessed with the show is because (This going to get so long, I am so sorry, I have so many thoughts)

There are so much that is just never adressed. I have so many thoughts. There is so much to expand on, so many AUs that are there for the imagining.

I genuinely like the episodes. The plot is genuinely so much fun. The why's of these plots is...questionable. The how's is fun tho.

IT IS SO INCONSISTENT! Okay, not part of why I like it, but Ahhhhhhhhh. None of it makes sense. The characterization changes literally seconds apart!!!!! WHAT!!!!!

JUST FROM EPISODE 1: WHY IS BUZZ DEPICTED AS AN ANIMAL LOVER AND THEN GOES "NAH, I'M NOT SAVING THE DOG FROM DROWNING". This happens seconds Apart!!!!

Why does Roger act indifferent about the assignment and then say "we should work together on this assignment" and Care about the assignment. SECONDS APART!!!!!

THEN THERE'S THE ANIMATION! OH MY GOD. At 4:21, Caruso is shown barefoot. At 4:25 HE HAS SHOES ON.

Ms Moynihan after they get mutated goes: "I told u not to go into the water" NO YOU DIDN'T. YOU NEVER SAID THAT. WHY R U LYING.

(Okay, so she could have said that off screen,I'll give it a pass, but also Literally No Where was that message implied to have been said before she stated that. Also, that implies that she knows Veloci is regularly dumping shit in the water.)

Also, Veloci injects Peter in episode 1 and this is just...never adressed again? What does that do to Peter, besides his eyes changing? THERE IS NO EFFECT WHAT DOES IT DO, I DON’T REMEMBER SEEING THE GUY EVER AGAIN WHAT!!! WHY DID VELOCI DO THAT.

Since Peter was injected with the Ooze, but Veloci is looking for his "perfect dinosaurs", then that inplies Peter is a failed dino. What happened to him? I am in hysterics. What. DOES VELOCI JUST HAVE LIKE A BUNCH OF STAFF THAT ARE FAILED DINOS!!!? I HAVE QUESTIONS!!!

I AM....AHHHHHHHHHHHH....I am so normal about this hahahaha.

Which is probably why it sticks in my head so much. Any media I get obsessed with usually has some aspect that makes me want to rip apart a chair with my teeth. Half the fun is telling my friend about the thing that makes me choke in frustration/rage. I like ranting. Its part of the fun to me.

4) I love the animation style.

5) I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS, I AM CLAWING AT MY ENCLOSURE, HOW!!! HOW DID VELOCI AND MS M SURVIVE IN THAT CAVE???? WHERE THEY SLEEPING FOR MILLIONS OF YEARS??? IF SO, HOW WHERE THEY NEVER DISCOVERED BY HUMANS IN ALL THAT TIME?

AT WHAT POINT DID THEY AWAKEN? THROUGH WHAT TIME PERIODS HAVE THEY LIVED? HOW DID THEY EXPIERIENCE WORLD WAR 1? WORLD WAR 2? ALL THE TRAGEDIES? How did they get from point A to point B????

How did they get to their current lives?

There is so much that remains a mystery. And with the large amounts of time Veloci and Ms M had, there is so much thats just. Not there. There are so many gaps to fill. There are so many AUs that can happen. And with the inconsistencies, there are so many places where I can't image the characters are anything but either unreliable or maybe even straight up lying...

Oh, and that's the other thing:

5) They are all, and I mean every single character, Major Assholes. The assholiest. Their only consistent character trait is being an asshole. I love it.

Anyway, I am sooooi normal about this show. So normal.

Also, very important! I love your dinosquad posts!!!! They're really cool, and I love seeing you in the fandom! Just. Feel really gushy about your posts. Also, I always feel really happy when I see you liked one of my Dinosquad posts. Its a small fandom, so I always feel like I'm talking into a void.

You were Andrew’s wife, beautiful and kind and godly. He loves you so deeply, and is an amazing husband.

Simon loves you like you were his own sister, and he was overjoyed when you and Andrew got married. You and Simon are best friends, something that made Andrew very happy.

You were now pregnant with your and Andrew’s first child. Simon and eden were obviously very excited to have either a niece or nephew.

One day you were in town getting some groceries, your brother in law came with you. Andrew would’ve but he had a bad fever, which was part of the reason you were at the store, trying to find something to help him, probably some broth and special herbs. Though Andrew was not particularly happy about you being so active while nearly nine months pregnant, he knew it had to be done. Simon wouldn’t let you go to town alone or carry anything heavy in your state so he came with you.

“What do you think your brother would take easier? This or this?” You asked holding up two bags of medical herbs. “Neither, he would refuse both like a baby,” Simon joked, well, sort of. “Well I’ll force him to take one of them either way.” You replied, earning a chuckle from Simon. You were about to say something else until you felt a pop, and then fluid pouring out of your…. “AHHHHH” you gasped in pure horror. “Y/n what’s the matter?!” Simon asked panicking. “My water broke!” You cried. “Wait what?! You’re not due for almost another month!” He cried. “Well I guess the baby doesn’t want to wait Simon!” “Oh my goodness, ok, I’ll get you to the midwife!” You expected him to just support you while you walked, but he suddenly scooped you up like a baby and started running with you towards the midwife. “Just breath y/n,” he said in a worried voice, seeing you in such pain nearly gave him a heart attack. Once he got to where the midwife was he knocked on the door with his foot. “We need help a woman is in labour!” He screamed. The midwife opened the door and Simon went inside immediately. “Put her on the bed!” She ordered, he immediately did. “Are you the father?” She asked. “No, no, my brother is the father, I’m the uncle,” Simon explained. “Ok can you go get him?” Simon looked at you anxiously. ‘Yes’ you nodded. Even though he was hesitant to leave he knew his brother deserved to know that his child was coming into the world. So he ran as fast as he could to get Andrew.

“Andrew!” Simon didn’t even bother knocking, he just kicked the door down. “Simon what’s going on?” Andrew asked in a sick voice. “Y/n is in labour!”

Andrew froze.

suddenly he shot up, not giving a damn about his fever. He and his brother ran faster then they ever had before.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!” You screamed. Your baby was breech, so the midwife was adjusting it.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!” You screamed so loudly. The entire room smelled like blood and sweat.

Hearing that scream made Andrews and Simon’s hearts drop. They bursted into the room.

“Men are not allowed in here.” A midwife said to them. “We don’t care!” Simon hissed while Andrew ran over to you and held your hand and started whispering ‘I love you so much’ over and over. Security had to come and drag both brothers out.

it was a long painful delivery but you managed, and gave birth to an adorable boy.

(I’m so sry I loved this request but I got very distracted, the next request I will get done a LOT faster!)
