I've swamped myself, so this is a reblog. But if it shows even one new set of eyes this week how much I love the idea of Tech's brothers supporting him and his fixations, I'll be a happy camper.

Tech’s forehead remained glued to the window as he spoke. “That aiwha calf! It was not there yesterday. The alpha cow in the pod has finally had her baby! I wish I had seen it happen. They give birth right over the surface of the water, then the entire pod calls out to the calf to encourage it to leave the water and fly!” “That’s great, Tech.” Hunter sent a small smirk to his other two brothers. For months they had listened to their inquisitive brother regurgitate every piece of information ever discovered about Kamino’s native cetaceans, nearly becoming experts themselves in the process. Crosshair and Wrecker grinned back. This was not the first time Tech had become fixated on a subject and unleashed his exuberance upon them. However, this was the first time one of his interests was something found on their own planet. It had given his brothers an idea.

Yes! Oh, my gosh. Please read this! I think our brainwaves are pen pals. I wrote a short one-shot that could be a prequel to this art!

“I…think he said they might talk.”

I sort of have a headcanon Tech’s interest in sounds, recording, and language started when he was pretty young, and that it started because he had some trouble communicating and being understood. Wanting to connect ended up naturally leading into curiosity about how everything else tried to communicate.

I need some very specific and in-depth help.

I need a full timeline of what happens before, during, and after Order 66.

This includes:

Ahsoka and Maul on Mandalore

Obi-Wan and Grievous on Utapau

The clones. I mean all of them. Where is the Star Corps, where is the 212th, where is the 501st, where is the 41st (they're with the Batch, right?), where is the Wolfpack

How long does Anakin have visions of Padme dying?? Is this, like, once, or does it plague him for a while

Where does Mace Windu come in before all this

uhhh what else am i forgetting

How long before the Order did Tup's chip malfunction?

And also:

where is Delta Squad? I don't think we ever see them during the Order in the books or the game, but I could be mistaken

and Aiwha Squad. As far as I know, they executed the Order, but I don't remember if it was at the end of their comics or if it is just implied off-screen.

If you're a loremonger, I would really appreciate some help. I'm writing a fic, and I need to make everything as canon-accurate as possible for my own sanity.

The Aiwhas (Hodjaerocetus megalala), also called air whales, were a non-sentient species of winged cetacean-like aliens native to the planet Kamino. They were used as mounts by the Kaminoans. These aliens are introduced in Rescris as part of Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure sequel.

Imagine: Fox has Force-given plot armor, basically nothing is able to kill him.

Palpatine tries to lightning him at point blank and it... Just doesn't work. Fox gives him a tired look and finishes his report.

Palpatine tries to chop him with his lightsabers but they just go out as soon as they get close to Fox and Fox sighs deeply and explains that he can't die. That when he was a cadet he saved a aiwha and it turned into some green force goddess chick who blessed him and ever since no one can harm him. He's jumped from the top of Tipoca city, sat at the bottom of Kamino's ocean, left a ship while in space and walked around outside. His brothers have taken to surprise attacking him for the hell of it. Nothing.

Palpatine grins thinking of how great this is having Fox as his servant after all and tries to activate Fox's chip.

Nothing.

Fox sighs again. The Republic is corrupt and even with basic immortality Fox can't just fix it so he just does his job. He's not going to be controlled or whatever. He'll see Palpatine with the usual report tomorrow.

From then on it's just Fox tiredly going about his day while Palpatine tries more and more creative different ways to try to kill him or make him obey him.

Palpatine completely blows off Anakin because he's so obsessed with Fox and Anakin gets all pissy over it and starts trying to kill Fox too.

Thorn and the rest of the Guard find it hilarious and encourage it even joining in sometimes.

Fox: *sitting in the middle of the flaming cafeteria sipping a cup of caff* This is fine.

fluffcember day twenty: fairy tales

The tendrils of yet another storm clattered against the window, smearing the transparisteel with rain, while wind argued with the lashed-down equipment outside and made it creak and moan. Boba pressed his nose and hands to the cool pane, feeling the weather vibrate through his fingertips. His breath huffed out in a cloud and he drew a frowning face in the bloom before watching it disappear.

If only he could disappear from Kamino as easily. Boba wanted to be out there, flying through the galaxy on bounties, seeing new worlds and beings, or maybe just seeing his dad for more than—

A noise at the door made Boba turn.

"That's a big sigh for such a little kid. How much did you grow while I was— Boba!"

"Dad! You're back!"

Jango Fett, bounty hunter extraordinaire, stumbled performatively as he caught Boba's leaping tackle, spinning them both around to dispel momentum. Laughing softly, he hiked Boba onto his hip. Boba grabbed onto his dad's tunic like a monkey-lizard, in case he had any thought of putting Boba down too soon.

"What's been going on around here while I was gone, then?" Dad asked, as he carried Boba over to the couch.

"Nothin'."

"Nothing? Then what's got you huffing and puffing like that?"

Boba folded his arms across his chest and kicked his feet against the couch cushions. "More storms, and Sergeant Skirata says I can't go outside until they pass, in case I get 'swept away'. Which is stupid, because they still send the cee—"

"Boba." Crouched in front of the couch, Dad gently caught one of Boba's feet and wiggled it, his face turning stern, like it always did lately when Boba mentioned the clones. "Kal is right. If you were swept away, I'd be forced to push him into the seas in recompense, and then who would keep this place together?"

"Dad! That doesn't even make sense!"

"Shift over, make room for your old man."

Obligingly, eagerly, Boba shifted over on the couch, and his dad sat next to him. Dad hauled Boba over to sit on his knee, making a little 'oof' as he did, as if Boba were much heavier than he was. Boba went limp just to feel his father's strength, making his arms and legs like noodles. Eventually, after much giggling, they were arranged in the corner of the couch, Boba sideways on his dad's lap, his dad's arm around his shoulders and playing with the ends of Boba's hair.

"Need a haircut soon, kiddo," Dad murmured absently.

Boba crossed his eyes trying to see the ends. He shrugged.

"If you say so," he allowed.

"If I say so? Is that how you speak to your old man now?"

Boba grinned at the tone. He nodded. "Like you said, I did some growing up while you were gone."

He'd meant it as a silly tease, but Dad's expression crumpled strangely, reminding Boba of how the windows looked with the rain blurring over them. Uncomfortable with the sight, Boba tugged a fistful of his dad's tunic and shoved himself against his dad's solid chest, squirming like a little and making Dad tighten his hold.

Then Boba opened his mouth and shoved words out as if they were aiwhas calling to each other in Kamino's vast ocean. "Did you go and see the pirate lady again? Did you have to fight someone while you were there? Was there anyone cheating at dice because I heard that you can use weights and magnets to get dice to fall how you want— Or, oh, did you remember that Sergeant Skirata asked you to—"

"Calm down, Boba, what’s got you so squirmy?" Dad asked, shaking his head slightly as he did. He smiled again, still a bit blurry, but with none of the storm left in his eyes; he looked at Boba like Boba was the only being in the galaxy with his face. Dad never saw anyone else when looking at him. "You're after a story, then? Sure thing. Get comfortable, and let me tell you where your old Dad has been this time…"
