If a modern Yukimura were to go into a bar, what would be his brew of choice? Mixed drink? Craft beer? Something else?

Anon, lemme tell you something: I've been asking myself the same thing. So, an interesting answer for an interesting question! (Quick Alcohol Warning. Minors DNI!!! As always, water is the best drink you can ever have.)

Okay, here's my thinking: as far as I know and read, Yukimura's favorite foods/snacks are dango, chestnut dumplings, mugwort mochi, and then there was sesame tofu at one point. I also remember ramen being showcased in the anime. Now, besides the sesame tofu and ramen, a lot of the stuff that he ate and was described more in his routes are on the sweeter side. So, I don't think he would be so much a beer guy since beer tends to be more on the bitter/hoppy side, but if he was to go for a beer, I can see him go for malty beers like those that are actually popular in Japan (Sapporo, Echigo, etc.) or Nitro cream ales (Cali Cream, Kilkenny). T But, aside from that, I feel like he'd go more for mixed drinks as there are more varieties that could go along with his palette and food choices, especially if you start him with sake/shochu cocktails. Historically, there was a famous letter sent from Yukimura to his older brother during the former's banishment to Kudoyama requesting for shochu to be delivered to him, so I can see as a headcanon that although he might not like bitter flavors, he can still tolerate ethanol-forward or stronger drinks, but not anything straight or up. Now, this is kinda weird and out of pocket, but I feel like he'd have a tiki cocktail phase because of how complex and fruity they can be, but would stop given how tiki are some of the most alcoholic cocktails you could find.

So, to definitively answer, he would like fruitier, yet balanced cocktails/mixed drinks (whether simple or complex) over beers, but could have the potential to open up to creamier or malty beers.

Austria's Selfcare Routine <3

He's been crying. Sobbing! Girly pop could not handle it! Time for a little self care to get this boss babe back on track.

Step one is to eat a kilo of chocolate and regret every decision he has ever made. This step is important because it establishes he cannot POSSIBLY stoop any lower than he is right now (false!).

Step two is to drink a warm cup of tea because at this point his stomach is in shambles from the mixture of chocolate, existential dread, and alcohol forming the world's shittiest cocktail in his stomach.

Step three is bath time. Austria is a pretty man that requires upkeep. The combination of his extensive skincare routine and obscenely large bathtub is so powerful that it just might mimick the touch of another human being.

That man has scrubba dubbed dubbed all in his tub and now it is time for step four. Teeth brushing. Dental care is important.

Step five is to dance the waltz of shame down his endless hallway to his bedroom. By some miracle if he makes it to his bedroom he will get to have a little sleep :). If he falters and busts his ass he is either crying himself to sleep in the hallway or getting up and repeating this cycle.

All done! Our hero is probably feeling like a million bucks!

Agnetha -> Very sweet and cold, top with thick whip cream or ice cream. Don't forget to add sprinkles and edible flowers!

Zalyn -> A smokey red cocktail chilled with ice. Spicy and bold, just like Zalyn. Don't be fooled by the small glass as this special drink has a powerful kick that will knock you out.

Nalin -> A bubbly green champagne made with perfection. This drink also has a hint of sourness and saltiness. Always use the fanciest glass you have for this one!

Marlyn -> A fun and unique slushie drink with a purplish ombre. Freshly picked fruit are decorated on the corners of the glass to amp up the fun. Great for hot summers and parties.

today i had a big work event which we found out yesterday would mean no lunch break... a few min to grab a snack around 11 is all there was and even that was barely there bc there was so much to do. i made sure to eat some bread in the morning but still was sooo hungry by 3 which is when they said we’d have our break... but it ended up being 3:15... and then effectively 3:30 bc of the packing/cleaning up time ;_; i had a bit of rice then. a few of my coworkers went out but the rest of us lit just passed out in a classroom until 4 buhahaha.

anyway i was so exhausted and hungry so for dinner i went to saizeriya and planned to order like 2000 yen worth of food. saizeriya is hella cheap which is why i like it so this means i was darn hungry haha. i got my fav peas with egg and pecorino (also good with asparagus but i didnt see it on the menu this time) and a small margherita pizza. also ordered two lamb kebabs but they never appeared. wasnt charged for them though and in the end decided i was pretty full after the peas and pizza and besides i wanted french toast for dessert. so i guess my eyes were bigger than my stomach.

... it’s also not impossible that the wait staff purposely “forgot” the lamb kebabs because they were like “why is one woman ordering this much food no way she can eat it” lol. I once got sick at an okonomiyaki restaurant and the waitress looked me in the eye and said “perhaps you ate too much?” lmao.

also on the menu is a glass of wine for 100yen. are you KIDDING. it is probably not good wine, but i can’t tell lmao. I love red wine and have no discernment about quality so 100yen for a glass of red wine couldn’t have been more perfect for me.

however i am now tipsy. yup from ONE measly glass of wine. im sure its in combo with how tired i am but yeah i was meandering a little on the way home xP also it has been probably a full year since i last had wine, and before that possibly even longer. yeah i do love it, but i dont drink alone, this was very rare for me and pretty much completely bc i wanted to try 100yen wine lol. and when i go out to drink with friends i usually get a cocktail (cassis orange or fuzzy navel). i drink wine mostly if there are no cocktails on offer or if i’m staying in with someone bc wine is more likely to be on hand than a cocktail. and i do prefer wine with pasta. but because of the pandemic and all i just havent gone out much in the past few years so not much wine drinking has happened.

so i never had much tolerance to begin with and now even that little ledge is toast apparently bahahaha

im just a little buzzed tho, it’ll probably mean i fall asleep soon, but that’s good. because i am hella tired. what a day what a week what a year. however. upside: i am on vacation now. yaaaaaay. gonna SLEEP ALL MONTH LONG
