Zagreus has a problem. And not just a small problem, like Lernie ignoring him, or Cerberus got a thorn in his paw (Gods forbid), it’s a big problem this time. Like, almost 'breaking out of the Underworld and finding his mother' big. Zagreus wants to kiss Hypnos.

In which Zagreus pines, and Hypnos is friends with Alecto.

Isn’t weird that Zagreus goes through the whole game with no armour other than his knee coverings greaves? Anyways, maybe in the next game he’ll be better protected and wear a gorget like everyone else in the house.

I might colour in the portraits later. Nemesis is pretty fun to draw. I just know that I’ll hate drawing Moros in the future

alecto  growls  at  him  ,  fangs  bared  as  the  sound  rumbles  deep  in  her  chest  .  she's  an  easy  target  for  him  ,  a  part  of  her  knows  this  ,  but  she'd  rather  have  momus'  stupid  fucking  attention  on  her  rather  than  on  kaluciyo  .  then  she'd  probably  skin  momus  alive  . 

“  i  don't  waste  time  talking  about  my  feelings  .  crawl  to  tisiphone  if  you  want  that  soft  shit  .  ”  her  tension  is  clear  in  her  wings  ,  but  then  again  ,  she  radiates  tension  every  time  this  happens  .  an  olive  branch  to  come  to  the  house  of  hades  …

…  when  everyone  else  is  also  present  ,  due  to  the  queen's  return  .

Dianthus of Oenoe (also called Dia or very rarely Dianthe) is my main sona / self insert / etc. She's basically me but if i was in Hade game's setting <3 more info below! ( Art credits: Laurel (TH) / 2nd drawing is by me )

She's physically in her 20s and about 5'4. Her father was a human merchant from somewhere in Sub-Saharan Africa, and her mother was Chloris, a nymph-goddess from Etruria. Due to being half nymph Dianthus has some powers over plantlife herself, but they're very weak and mostly useless. Her hair and body will sometimes sprout flowers or even fruit, but it tends to happen randomly, and like any flower they eventually wilt overtime! She met Theseus while still alive, and aided him in his battle against the Bull of Marathon. Afterwards Theseus returned to Athens, but he intended to return to Dia's home so that he may have her hand in marriage. Unfortunately, however, Theseus was soon sent off to Crete to deal with another bull problem overseas, and Dia had to leave her home to avoid an arranged marriage. After this and up until her death, she became a Maenad, a member of the retinue of Dionysus, and thru him became associated with the Eleusisian mysteries. When she died, her body was transformed into a carnation. Later, in Elysium, she reunited with King Theseus, and helped him again, this time in the task of bringing Asterius to Elysium! Within the blessed fields, she works as a librarian. She's a rather sweet girl for the most part, and tries her best to be kind to others. However... she can also be a bit arrogant and self centered as well. She's very stubborn and headstrong when she needs to be, but also won't hesitate to give up on a task if it proves to be too much- she's very concerned for her own rest and relaxation, after all. When it comes to Theseus and Asterius, she often has to remind them to take breaks as well! Silly funfacts: ~ She writes gay fanfiction of heroes even more ancient than those of greece. ask her about her gilgamesh/enkidu yaoi collection (don't actually ask her she'll get embarassed) ~ within a plaza of elysium, there's a board within the plaza where shades can come by and pin things they've written. one user of this board is only known as "championsgirl01" and writes some very passionate posts... most of them in defense of the king himself.

~ Her favourite flower is actually the sunflower, but she also loves pink roses and carnations, her namesake. ~ She collects merch of the champions, and is the vice president of their fanclub. She also watches every match! ...In reality, though, she really doesn't care that much about the sportmanship thing. She just likes watching sweaty buff guys battling it out. ~ Friends with Patroclus, Achilles, Dusa, and surprisingly, Alecto. Has a weird frenemies thing with Zagreus. Co-workers with Hypnos but he's always asking what Asterius is up to which makes her look at him with daggers in her eyes </3

Been replaying Hades obsessively (as you do) and I love how almost every character addresses Zagreus differently? it's so small but it adds to their charm

Nyx calls you child or my child. She is mother of many

Dusa calls you Prince, and later as she gets more comfortable also calls you by name

Cerberus... none of his heads posses the gift and curse of speech.

Hypnos I noticed never calls you by anything, usually just goes "you"

Hi there I just wanted to say I like your writing also can I please have headcanons for Zagreus,Thanatos,Megara and hypnos from hades with a gender neutral s/o who is the god of decay like their powers are able to suck the life force/energy out of any living being and slowly kill them and because of that a lot of people fear them and make rumors of them being this destructive/scary God when in reality their actually really nice and kind just kinda quiet and their also kinda lonely and depressed because of their powers and rumors that have been made about them and just wanna have companions/friends I hope this isn't too much to ask for I enjoy reading your writing ☺️💖🤗❤️

Very Sweet S/O Is the God of Decay

Notes: This is a very interesting request, I’ll do my best with it!!

Hypnos

Calls you a sheep in wolf’s clothing. That’s really what you are when you’re not causing some plague somewhere in the mortal realm.

If he’s ever asked what it’s like dating you because you’re this “big, scary god” then he just gasps and mentions all these horrible, awful things you do. “One time, they accidentally tried washing some colored clothing with white clothes!”

He’s really head over heels for you even if he acts like a little shit at times. If you ask anything of him then he’ll do it (so long as he doesn’t lose his job).

You’re just so precious and always has time for him (unlike his actual family) and so he wants you to feel just as loved.

Megaera

She understands having others view you as intimidating and unapproachable. She gets that, her sisters get that. You being pretty much the complete opposite is something that throws her for a bit of a loop.

In her mind, if you’re scary then you should work with it and use it to your advantage. You’re just a sweetheart and she’ll kill anyone that dares lay a hand on you.

Meg isn’t really the type to talk about you to a lot of people, but Zagreus and Thanatos know and they quickly befriend you (after they give you a bit of a graveyard talk, that is).

She is hesitant to introduce you to her sisters. Probably shows you Tisiphone first since you two are a lot alike in ways before going to Alecto, who she quickly threatens if she tries to harm you.

Thanatos

He heard the rumors and so he had it in his mind to be the utmost respectful to you as your job can’t be an easy one. And then he meets you and you’re apologizing and asking if he’s okay and if you can do anything to make him comfortable with his visit.

He doesn’t know if he’s ever fell in love that fast. You’re just so pure despite your title. He vows to protect and keep you safe when you two start being together.

Thanatos understands being lonely due to being feared, so he tries to introduce you to Zagreus and Meg as they have been his lights in darkness for so long and hope you can be friends with them. He also secretly hopes his best friends like his S/O.

Definitely talks about you to Nyx before actually introducing you to his mother. Doesn’t really want to introduce you to Hypnos as he knows there’s going to be lots of embarrassing stories, but he still does as he cares for his brother and wants his S/O to meet his family.

Zagreus

Of course he was a bit hesitant when he heard about your title the first time. But then he met you and felt guilt for judging you based on things he’s heard.

You get so many gifts from him. You’re just the sweetest and he wants you to feel treasured because you deserve it.

Is more than happy to tell others that you’re his S/O. He might get asked “aren’t you scared?” and the answer is always “hells no” because you’re amazing and he gladly tells you that all the time.

Zagreus knows so many people, he’ll happily introduce you to them all! He promises that some of them are even nice so you can have friends.

something something what if Hades was there when Nico went on a rage of grief.

As in, Idk, maybe in another scenario, Nico’s healing in the Underworld when he feels Jason’s death.

He was there, reading on the couch in a comfortable silence with his father skimming through the papers, and the next second he nearly fell off the chair, clutching his head and screaming from the top of his lungs. Blood-churning, spine-chilling screams calling Jason’s name.

Hades left the papers. The god reached his son just as Nico throws himself into the shadowed walls, gripping his thin-as-bone wrist to yank him out of the shadows. With cold arms as heavy as Atlas’ sky, he held him tight against his chest, his cloak wrapped around the boy, securing him.

Nico fought. He shrieked and clawed at Hades’ chest with all the ferocity of a desperate animal. Tears streaked down his face in a downpour and his voice broke until Hades couldn’t make out the words he’s screaming except for the son of Jupiter’s name. Nico tried pushing him away, to escape, to reach the one whose death was calling for him. The shadows bit at Hades’ cloak, hissing and beckoning.

“Let me go! I need to see him!”, he cried, “I need to see Jason!”

But Hades didn’t let go.

He didn’t even when Nico’s skeletal hands wouldn’t stop punching at his chest and the damned souls on his cloak wouldn’t stop groaning, attuned with Nico’s distraught state. Hades only hugged his son closer. The shadows didn’t dare to touch Nico with Hades’ flaring aura completely enveloping him. They would not take Nico away from him.

“You’re not stable for shadow traveling yet. You’re gonna rip yourself apart.” The god tried, but Nico’s wrecked mind had locked itself out of overwhelming grief.

So Hades kept his hold. He stroked Nico’s hair and sent soothing words to his deaf ears. The palace was shaking - Nico’s emotions having engulfed the building - and the only thing Hades focused on was his child’s ragged breaths and frantic heart. Tripping, stuttering, breaking all the way.

——Until they all faded away, and Nico’s helpless form had fallen limp in between his arms. Tears staining his pale cheeks and nightmares just behind his eyelids. He kept crying even when his body was too tattered to remain awake.

His son had barely gained so much peace.

Gathering the child in his arms again, Hades called Hypnos. He had a feeling he would need the god by Nico’s side for many days to come.

And then with a sigh, he gave the order to shut down the palace. No one in or out without his permission.

“Nico would try to reach my brother’s son once he wakes up,” he told Alecto as he carefully wiped the stains on Nico’s cheeks, “I can’t have him kill himself like that.”

Grief was a devastating thing and oh didn’t Hades, Lord of the Dead he was, know it.

So he knew he wouldn’t be able to shoulder it when it came to his son.

It starts with death, because of course it must. When Kim Dokja is a child, his father’s abuse goes too far—the first of Kim Dokja’s many deaths decades too soon—but not before Kim Dokja can land a mortal blow of his own. In that moment, Kim Dokja avenges himself.

In horror, in grief, Lee Sookyung watches her son die while doing what she should have done long ago. In grief, in desperation, Lee Sookyung—for she is where Kim Dokja inherited his love of stories—travels to the Underworld to make a deal. She goes, specifically, to the Olympus Underworld because in Olympic mythology killing a monstrous father is not a sin, but rather the makings of a god. If she is clever enough, if she is determined enough, if she is willing to make a sacrifice, then she can give her son the life he should have had. Or, at the very least, a better one than the one she gave him originally.

Lee Sookyung is all of these things. But most important of all, she is lucky enough to be dealing with the Supergiant Games version of Persephone who is, presumably after the events of Hades and Hades II, experiencing empty nest syndrome, what with Zagreus and Melinoe presumably going out on adventures with their respective loves of their lives.

In the face of Lee Sookyung’s maternal devotion, Persephone offers to retrieve Kim Dokja’s soul from wherever it originally landed and have him raised as a prince of the Underworld, an heir to Hades, etc etc and condemn his father to the furthest, most painful corners of Tartarus under the supervision of the Underworld’s most sadistic Furies (aka, Alecto.) And whenever Lee Sookyung dies, she will be allowed to meet with Kim Dokja once again as a shade, before going on to wherever her soul is destined for.

Lee Sookyung’s counteroffer: yes to Kim Dokja being raised as a prince of the Underworld, an heir to Hades, etc etc. However, let his father take Lee Sookyung’s place in the land of the living where he will have to face the consequences of killing his son and wife. Let his relatives know the shame of having such a man in their family haunt them publicly. Let the neighbors who saw and heard and did nothing feel the weight of guilt for the rest of their lives. And in exchange let Lee Sookyung serve the House of Hades for the rest of her afterlife, so that she may watch her son grow protected and loved as he should have been in life.

In the face of Lee Sookyung’s vindictiveness and, also, combined willingness and talent for paperwork (there’s SO MUCH that needs to be done) both Nyx and Hades are now also on board.

So what I’m saying is, Lee Sookyung becomes a manager in the House of Hades for processing paperwork (gods know even with his improvements, Hypnos still needs the help) and gets to actually watch Kim Dokja grow up happy and healthy(? how does health work for denizens of the Underworld?) and so, so loved.

That would be the set up.

Then we jump to what wouldn’t even be Hades III (this time it’s Kim Dokja’s adventure where he meets the KimCom) but rather the aftermath of Hades III in which he FORGOT TO TELL KIMCOM HE IS THE PRINCE OF THE UNDERWORLD and that his “natural state” is BEING DEAD and so the KIMCOM HAVE TO FIGHT THEIR WAY DOWN TO TARTARUS WHERE THEY THINK THEIR BELOVED LEADER HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED/SENTENCED TO AN ETERNITY OF SUFFERING but instead they’re just kind of like when your child’s friends show up at the house unexpectedly and you gotta figure out if you have enough snacks and entertainment.

No, Kim Dokja cannot go up to the surface world to play right now, he’s been neglecting his princely duties as heir to Hades (since, you know, Zagreus and Melinoe DO NOT WANT TO DO PAPERWORK FOR THE REST OF THEIR EXISTENCES and, like how he inherited his love of reading from Lee Sookyung, Kim Dokja honestly doesn’t MIND paperwork and isn’t too bad at it in comparison to his older siblings) but if you’d like to wait until he’s done, you can check out the various levels of the Underworld, go sight seeing, maybe join an Elysium tournament. KimCom, once the adrenaline has worn off and they stop being annoyed at Kim Dokja for LITERALLY NEVER MENTIONING HE IS A PRINCE OF THE UNDERWORLD, decide to hang out.

It’s very wholesome. Maybe Zagreus and Melinoe show up to haze their baby brother’s friends. Shin Yoosung and Cerberus CANNOT BE SEPARATED. Possibly Yoo Sangah is a cousin from Olympus who frequently ran away to the Underworld to escape the unfair expectations of her divine parent(s), so of course SHE knew the whole time, she just thought it would be funny not to say anything either.

Thinking about how Morpheus was on Kronos's side and the idea that that is why Bianca and Nico left the hotel. Maybe he tried to take them, sneak them out, got caught by their father, who has eyes in every shadow and crevice.

He argues that Thalia is alive, Percy is alive. Hades needs a player in this game, someone to stand up for interests, because the other demigods never will. Hades doesn't listen to a single word. He knows Morpheus is lying. He can see it in the colours and shifts of his soul.

But he forgot how much his children look like their mother. Forgot how nice it was to have Nico chatter endlessly at him. Forgot how much he liked holding Bianca's small hand. And he knows, whatever Morpheus is planning, putting them back into the Hotel is no longer plausible. Morpheus will just come back to get them and stationing a guard outside the hotel will only make his judgemental family even more suspicious.

He sends Morpheus away, has Alecto put them up in a boarding school, and keeps a careful eye on the god of dreams from then on. Bianca dies, Nico runs away. He stacks Morpheus with tasks, has Hypnos bother him with activities. Anything to keep him busy while Hades hunts his son down.

When he finds him, drags him home, Morpheus looks annoyed. Hades can't tell what's he planning. He's lived in the Underworld his whole life, he knows how to hide his intentions. But he's cautious. Tells Pasithea to keep an eye on her son. Tells Hypnos to keep him busy. Tells Nico to be wary of his dreams.

"Just be careful," he says, watching Morpheus from the corner of his eye. "Sometimes your dreams can lie to you."

So at the least I’m happy Than is able to communicate his support for Hypnos in a non-degrading way.

At the same time doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. I don’t remember is Than apologizes, but i don’t think he does…?

Even then one short conversation can’t erase all the other, previous shitty conversations.

If they don’t properly talk about it, it’s just gonna go unprocessed, and covered up; And believe me That feels shitty.

Hey, Hypnos doesn’t need to talk about it to his family, they just need to vent-talk to someone who gives a fuck & listens to him more than one conversation each half hour. Unfortunately therapists haven’t been made yet.

So here is the codex's list of Important characters.

The companions are the same but now the Olympians give them when Zagreus and caduceus are looking for their mom and dad in the fields of mourning with Mel. The people that have another next to them are from the critical role Universe.

They still exist especially the ones in the house with the exception of Orpheus and his wife.
