So he had heard the news. It wasn't like the death and resurrection of a demigod, let alone one of their most physically powerful, was not going to be glossed over.

He'd remembered that first night he met Alejandro. Sat all alone and seemingly not wanting to be bothered and yet Davon could not help but be drawn to him. He wouldn't outright admit it but perhaps it was the Son of Artemis own flavor of self-loathing and poor decisions that drew him towards the man who looked like he wanted to break the world before it could break him. What seemed to be a growing bond was cut short. Distance caused by distraction he supposed. Davon never was too much of the confrontational type...up until recently.

So when he saw the son of Ares, what normally would have been a happy hug and kiss was met with a somber glare as he stopped just before the other man. It was...complicated.

"I can forgive a lot of things." He said rather bluntly. There was no reason to sugar coat his feelings. Not anymore after a night from hell.

"I can forgive you shoving me off when I just wanted to spend a little time with you." Yes, he recalled wanting to get on that cursed teacup ride, but standing there looking foolish after the other demigod collected the ones he apparently preferred. Thank goodness he hand Winter to cheer him up.

"I can forgive you for breaking that ride and triggering what would lead into what could be described as nothing but mental torture." That Muse called it Disney Jail, but it really had just been mind rape and just reawakened a trigger from past trauma. Speaking of...

"I can forgive you for ignoring my panic and demand to escape a sketchy kid's concert that were were KIDNAPPED for to attend.... because you just cared about having a good time with the ones you keep pushing me away in favor for." And he clenched his jaw. He remembered being knocked unconscious from the ordeal though thankfully healed by Corey. Davon felt like none of it would have happened if they had just listened to him in the first place and all left when they had a small bit of chance.

"But what I absolutely WILL NOT tolerate is YOU deciding to be so reckless and leaving us to MOURN. Because I thought distancing myself would be the answer but the last few nights spat in my face and told me it's fucking impossible not to get attached." he scrubs a hand over his face and gives a low growl. There it was...that growing call of the wild he'd been feeling. He was a healer but....

A hand snaps out and claps across that handsome face of the other demigod. The same hand reaches to snatch the collar of Alejandro's shirt and pulled him in, nose to nose as he snarled. It was a stark contrast to the past nurturing interactions he had with Davon. But all nurturing apparently was not going to cut it anymore. Not when they had hitmen after them. Not when it had succeeded in taking one of them out and by a blessing, the man he had clenched by the shirt was given another chance.

"I may not mean shit to you, but there's no way I can lie and say I don't still want you in my life and to be okay. I..." he his nostrils flared and his grip on the shirt wavered. "I told Sethan I don't cry anymore...because it was pointless..." and yet, he found himself feeling tears streak down his cheeks for the son of Ares.

"What the fuck is even happening..."

tw: emotional damage, death.

death, alejandro was able to deal with death -- or at least he thought he was able to. when it came to those he cares about he felt strongly about, that is where that blurred line started. hating how he made this promise to protect and yet, failing. he failed gabe, he failed sethan. -- he feels as he is failing them all. breaking the promise he's made. having taken so many lives, he felt as he can't save them as much as he was trying.

alejandro started at camp with pushing everyone away. keeping his walls up from anyone getting close and yet now that's broken, his walls have been cracked. shown that care, that love that he has always craved and never felt. it was too much, but he welcomed it. as much as he felt he didn't deserve it - he didn't want to lose that feeling. he didn't want to lose those that care for him -- the man full of rage was finding comfort in love. turning his rage into a loving rage - or so he was hoping.

with everything that has happened, even his own death he is starting to understand his purpose. he needed to keep fighting, let go of his past, let go of what is holding him back from being able to be the self that he's always meant to be. finding self love was the start of it all. letting that angry boy inside him, the monster that wants to rip through him, he took control, embraced it. that voice was no longer taunting him, but protecting him now. still needing to work on so much, he knew it was going to take time. just like letting go was going to take time. having been so scared all his life to die, but always wishing for that sweet release, alejandro has found the reasons to live now.

love & family.

he will never forget the promises he made to them all, having lost someone so close to him - he will do this for him, for gabe, for them all. keep fighting, protecting them. making sure to stay alive for them.

it was his time to step up and be there for them all, be that shoulder for them to lean on, cry on - just what they have all been for him, it was his turn. it's time to let go - use that rage for better and not let it hold him back.

no yeah that was me, just forgot to sign off! i think your idea is hecking neat as well (and yes i am a fairly intense vocaloid fan as well! and project sekai but we aren't here for that. milgram started in august 2020 and we're at the tail end of the second trial now). was the project itself named after the experiment? yeah probably, a lot of focus on how es is being made to be the one doing this by jackalope (chris in this au. but also fun fact jackalope does all the cooking. so basically, chef as a marginally larger jackalope in a chef outfit). jackalope also says that es can judge by how much they like the prisoners which come on. tell me chris wouldn't do that.

while i'm not personally comfortable disclosing my ethnicity online - it is something that i've been taught to hide when possible - except to people i know and trust and talk to, i will disclose that i do look to new vegas as something to process and explore certain aspects of my identity and family history. i do have intergenerational trauma and that is another reason i may use the block button quite liberally/be either slow to follow back or not follow back at all in some cases as i have seen a lot of interpretations of canon (as well as numerous aspects of canon itself) that i don't feel okay with at all. i expect that people do their research when writing cultures and situations they're not familiar with, and try to meet that expectation myself.

El mundo es incognoscible. El cerebro, pasajero ciego encerrado tras paredes de calcio impenetrables, posee apenas tres o cuatro sensores pobres para tantear en la oscuridad lo que parece ocurrir allá afuera. El espectro sonoro que registra es mínimo, el luminoso lo es menos aún, ni hablar del táctil. La llamada realidad es la suma paupérrima de estas métricas, despojos y escombros de lo real. Cada escucha es un eco lejano, cada imagen una sombra pobre, cada textura y cada destello un reflejo de un reflejo de un reflejo de algo lejano que grita en el fondo de un pozo. La realidad son fragmentos, siempre son fragmentos, tres pedazos de vidrio de un vitreaux del que jamás conoceremos su totalidad. Somos ciegos en la Antártida conectados con una radio de onda corta, esperando que a través de la estática espesa nos llegue alguna noticia en la forma de saludo áspero, quebrado, tenue, lívido y así, sentados en nuestra pieza oscura, armamos un rompecabezas mal dibujado, de bordes rugosos, donde creemos ver la ilusión de una realidad atroz. No es el mito de la caverna, no es el despertar de Mr. Anderson, es peor, realmente la verdad está allá afuera, no en otro mundo, no en otra dimensión, está realmente ahí, a un centímetro de nuestra masa encefálica, pero inalcanzable ¿Qué temperatura hay realmente allá afuera? ¿Cómo suena realmente un tambor? Seríamos capaces de ver y escuchar sin volvernos locos?

Mientras tanto, actuamos por acumulación, juntamos fragmentos desesperadamente, la demencia de algunos poetas que juntan páginas y las pegan con bilis es un espectáculo triste del fracaso, de la pantomima de monos que se creen capaces de alcanzar un rescoldo de infinito. Pero en ese ejercicio se hace arte, el cadáver del héroe que se quema es arte, el resultado de una expedición como la de Pueblo Nuevo deja un dibujo en el territorio que se convierte en arte. Es la desesperación del que da manotazos en la oscuridad y acumula escombros buscando atinar con algo. Es la belleza del organismo que patalea en el fango mientras desarrolla antenas, palpando la maravilla e intuyendo dónde está la luz para seguirla con rabia, obsesivamente, son los exploradores de la mente, de la mente del futuro.

Hay ocasiones en la vida que exigen momentos de reflexión; momentos para mirar hacia atrás y hacia adelante, recordar lo que se ha logrado y lo que queda todavía para hacer. Además, esta producción reúne las voces de 100 artistas, amigos, simpatizantes y personas de todo Chile, América Latina y el mundo, cuyos saludos, alabanzas, reflexiones y esperanzas para el futuro, se mezclan como un coro singular en cacofónica y colaborativa comunión.

De hecho, como un acto de expresión colectiva, “Di algo… Pueblo Nuevo 10° Aniversario” refleja perfectamente el espíritu, la excentricidad y el alcance expansivo de esta comunidad y de la plataforma musical que honra. Considerados conjuntamente, estos variados mensajes, enviados desde cerca y lejos, reflejan el humor y la sinceridad, la ingenuidad y la anormalidad, la inmediatez y la abstracción, que han caracterizado la oferta musical de Pueblo Nuevo a través de todos estos años.

Y así, tal como algunos han ido y venido, Pueblo Nuevo resiste y permanece. Sigue prosperando, como su lema sugiere, en tanto en el sentido de comunidad que engendra, y como el lugar de encuentros virtuales alrededor de los que orbita esta comunidad y de donde brota. Esta colección es un testimonio alegre de ese tremendo éxito.

🔵 #Nacional HIMNO NACIONAL DEBERÁ DE INTERPRETARSE EN CASTELLANO E INDÍGENA U ORIGINARIA EN TODA ACTIVIDAD PÚBLICA

Este domingo se oficializó el Decreto Supremo N° 006-2022-MC, en el que se dispone la interpretación del Himno Nacional en idioma castellano y en la lengua indígena u originaria predominante en la zona.

La norma, firmada por el presidente Pedro Castillo junto al ministro de Cultura, Alejandro Salas, fue emitida con el objetivo de fortalecer la efectividad del derecho de toda persona a su identidad étnica – cultural y el usar la lengua originaria.

De esta manera, el decreto oficializa la interpretación del Himno Nacional en todos los actos cívicos, actos militares, eventos o ceremonias, en idioma castellano; así como en la lengua indígena u originaria predominante, según lo establece el Registro Nacional de Lenguas Indígenas u Originarias.

Asimismo, la norma establece que las entidades públicas y los medios de comunicación estatal, que cuentan con canales de comunicación externa, deberán difundir la interpretación del Himno Nacional en castellano y en la lengua indígena u originaria predominante.

Cabe precisar que el Ministerio de Cultura, a través del Viceministerio de Interculturalidad, brindará asistencia técnica a las entidades públicas respecto de la implementación de la referida norma.

Por otro lado, realizará la traducción del Himno Nacional del idioma castellano a una lengua indígena u originaria, de la mano con los pueblos originarios y sus representantes...

001 – LIBRO: LA TERCERA GUERRA MUNDIAL - 11/12 DE SEPTIEMBRE DEL 2001 – FICHAS (001-021) –

001 - Como de costumbre estaba preparandome para dirigirme al Instituto de los Andes, donde dicto clases. Tomando desayuno frente al televisor, presentaban en vivo y en directo las escenas de un edificio famoso incendiado en Nueva York, por un acto suicida, inexplicable, cuando todavía no terminaba de comprender la pequeñez humana, quede atónito al ver como otro avión se estrellaba deliberadamente en la torre vecina. Senti un nudo en el estomago, que me hizo recordar a otro hecho terrible, cuando estando como alumno en la Universidad de Ingenieria, el 22 de Noviembre de 1963, escuche sobre el atentado y la muerte del presidente Kennedy. Decidí que era necesario para mi intelecto y sentimientos tratar de buscar respuestas a la infinidad de preguntas que se me agolpaban desordenadamente en el cerebro y que presionaban el mismo centro del corazón.

002 - A partir de ese día comencé a estudiar libros, diarios y revistas para tratar de comprender la situación miserable a la que ha llegado el hombre en pleno siglo XXI, en medio de la globalización y el violento desarrollo tecnológico, creo que es importante compartir las fichas de lectura que comencé a guardar desde este infausto día hasta el presente, los invito que cada uno de ustedes haga su propia interpretación y reflexión.

2001 - 12 de Septiembre.

003 - El Perú consternado siguió minuto a minuto los sucesos de ayer de un devastador ataque terrorista, inesperado, suicida, masivo y sincronizado, con la participación de agentes asesinos que secuestraron cuatro aeronaves con pasajeros para estrellarlos contra edificios públicos. Colapsó ayer a la más poderosa nación del planeta, los Estados Unidos de América.

004 - Las imágenes del primer avión de American Airlines estrellado contra una de las torres del World Trade Center de Nueva York y del estallido de la segunda máquina de United Airlines contra la segunda torre, dieciocho minutos después, superaron la imaginación de los directores de cine. Tengo que manifestar, que en mi larga vida no he visto ninguna escena de horror, en vivo y en directo, tan impactante, por lo inexplicable de la pequeñez y estupidez humana.

005 - En menos de una hora, después del último impacto, las torres gemelas, construidas en los años setenta en el centro mismo de Wall Street, el cerebro financiero del mundo, comenzaron a desplomarse mientras que muchas personas desesperadas, se lanzaban desde las ventanas, en un intento infructuoso de salvar la vida.

006 - El complejo fue diseñado por los arquitectos Minoru Yamasaki y Emery Roth en acero inoxidable y cristal. Consta de siete edificios: un edificio de oficinas de 47 pisos, dos de 9 pisos, el U.S. Customhouse de ocho pisos, el Hotel Marriott de 22 pisos y las emblemáticas torres gemelas de 110 pisos que, cuando se inauguraron en 1970, fueron los edificios más altos del mundo.

007 - En las obras de construcción trabajaron 3500 obreros. Hasta antes del atentado laboraban en el complejo aproximadamente cincuenta mil personas de 350 compañías de 25 países.

008 - Planeadas a principios de la década de 1960 como parte de un proyecto de renovación urbana, los primeros edificios del complejo, de un costo de 1.200 millones de dólares. Las Torres Gemelas empezaron a construirse en 1966 y fueron terminadas en 1973. Eran inmensas en cada detalle: 43 mil ventanas, 99 ascensores y un diseño destinado a ser centro de confluencia del comercio internacional.

009 - La Asociación Nacional de Bomberos estimó que las víctimas podrían alcanzar 10.000 personas en las dos torres del World Trade Center, donde trabajaban unas 40.000 personas.

010 - La primera nave plagiada fue la de American Airlines, que partió de Boston con destino a Los Ángeles. Era un Boeing 767 con 92 personas a bordo. Chocó a las 8 y 48 de la mañana, hora local.

011 - El segundo avión. Fue de United Airlines, un Boeing 757 que salió de Boston con destino a Los Ángeles, con 65 personas a bordo. Se estrelló a las 9 y 6 de la mañana.

012 - El tercero igualmente fue de la compañía American Airlines. El Boeing 757 resultó capturado en el aeropuerto de Dulles en Washington y su destino era Los Ángeles. Tenía 58 pasajeros y 6 tripulantes. Los terroristas lo estrellaron contra el Pentágono, un edificio de 117 mil 355 metros cuadrados y 27 kilómetros de pasadizos. El impacto se produjo a las 9 y 43 de la mañana, hora local.

013 - La cuarta máquina era de aerolínea United Airlines, que partió de Newark con destino San Francisco. Tenía 38 pasajeros y siete tripulantes. Se estrelló al norte del aeropuerto de Somerset, alrededor de las 10 de la mañana, al sudeste de Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania). No se sabe cuál era el objetivo de este aparato plagiado por los terroristas.

014 - El gobierno talibán de Pakistán informó que no tenían relación con los atentados. Dos agrupaciones extremistas palestinas, Hamas y el Frente Popular de Liberación de Palestina, comunicaron que tampoco eran autores del espantoso ataque múltiple.

015 - El posible culpable. Todas las miradas se dirigieron al millonario saudita que financia a un grupo de terroristas musulmanes extremistas, Osama Bin Laden.

016 - Otro posible culpable. Desde Jordania se reportó que miembros del Ejército Rojo Japonés se habrían atribuido los sangrientos atentados contra los Estados Unidos. Aunque el grupo terrorista tuvo actividad en los años 70 y parte de los 80, plagiando aeronaves y capturando embajadas en Europa, y cobrando millonarios rescates, entre 1992 y 1998 varios de sus principales miembros fueron capturados en Rumania, Líbano, Bolivia y Perú.

017 - Un funcionario del gobierno estadounidense dijo que las explosiones que sacudieron Kabul no fueron un ataque de represalia ordenado por Washington sino que puede ser un ataque de la oposición al gobierno de los Talibán de Kabul. En esta capital de Afganistán vive Osama bin Laden.

018 - Los terroristas escogieron un día muy especial donde todo Nueva York se aprestaba elegir a su alcalde, presidentes de condado y a representantes en el concejo municipal.

019 - Con un minuto de silencio por las víctimas de Estados Unidos, el presidente Alejandro Toledo participó anoche en la ceremonia de clausura de la Asamblea Extraordinaria de la Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA), donde aprovechó para invitar a los países del hemisferio a reducir progresivamente la compra de armamento.

020 - En medio del estupor por el condenable atentado perpetrado en Nueva York y Washington, los 34 cancilleres del hemisferio americano presentes en el marco de la XXVIII Asamblea General Extraordinaria de la OEA aprobaron la esperada Carta Democrática Interamericana, documento que pone fin a la intención o maniobra de cualquier régimen para salirse de su cauce constitucional. Tras el minuto de silencio por las innumerables víctimas de la oleada terrorista, apenas comenzó la sesión, la aprobación de la Carta Democrática se aceleró a pedido del secretario de Estado norteamericano, Collin Powell, para dejar constancia del compromiso de su gobierno con el documento.

021 - Los cancilleres aprobaron además una resolución de condena a los execrables actos, mientras tanto Collin Powell tuvo que retornar de urgencia a su país. El documento de rechazo fue aprobado en presencia de los ministros de Relaciones Exteriores de América Latina y el Caribe, luego de que el canciller peruano, Diego García Sayán, fuera elegido presidente de la Asamblea y en medio de expresiones de solidaridad con la delegación estadounidense. oh i'm not talking about the classic milgram experiment i am talking about milgram the multimedia project created by deco*27 famed vocaloid producer in which a certain amnesiac guard "es" wakes up in a prison facility where they are told to judge innocent or guilty ten ordinary people who despite looking innocent are all considered murderers. (some only by technicality, like a guy whose doxxing accidentally went too far or a girl who accidentally drove her bf to you know what through relationship toxicity) through looking at their Brain Music Videos and it is awesome. i want to talk so much more about this but it will not at all be coherent so i am asking you to read this instead

Es, the prison guard and Audience Surrogate, is the protagonist of the story. Memory hazy, they awake in a prison facility called MILGRAM, where they are greeted by Jackalope. Jackalope explains that MILGRAM houses 10 prisoners, who, despite appearing fairly average at first glance, are all murderers. It is Es's job to determine whether the prisoners should be ruled guilty (not forgiven) or innocent (forgiven) for their crimes.

There is a catch, though—Es, as well as the audience, are initially clueless as to what each of the prisoners' crimes are. Jackalope explains that those sins aren't revealed through interrogation or anything conventional, but rather through extracting the prisoner's mental images and displaying them as a song accompanied by a symbolic music video. These music videos are uploaded to MILGRAM's official YouTube page for viewers to examine and make theories and conclusions regarding what the prisoners' sins are.

After these music videos are released, viewers are encouraged to visit the MILGRAM official site and vote for whether or not they forgive the prisoner for their sins. The first music videos do not reveal all there is to know about the prisoner and their crimes, so this process of releasing videos and voting repeats three times, the audience growing more and more informed with the release of new videos. This is referred to as the three trial system.

Oh, dang. Oops! I saw 'Milgram' and immediately associated it with the Milgram Experiment because I'll always be a psych student at heart.

I'm super interested in the whole MILGRAM concept though! I'm... not exactly familiar with it. Like, at all. So I can't really offer my thoughts on an AU until I actually engage with the content itself (I'll be sure to check it out... at some point. 😅)

I'm surprised I've never heard of this before though; I'm a fairly casual Vocaloid fan, so you'd think I'd at least be aware that DECO*27 was making a whole series. 🤷‍♀️

Thanks for clearing that up for me though! I'm a little embarrassed that I went on such a tangent over something entirely unrelated to what the anon was asking for. 😳
