Something I really like about timebomb is that Ekko actually knows what he's getting into.

I'm not really seeing it get talked about but in season 1 they mention that Ekko and the firelights help people addicted to shimmer get off it and lead more fulfilling lives within the community. I should probably rewatch the scene for the exact wording (might be misremembering tbh) but that comment implies A LOT.

First: Ekko's mission is helping people where he can, he would probably try and help Jinx even if he wasn't in love with her

Second: He has experience dealing with severe mental illness as that often goes hand in hand with drug abuse, namely depression/suicidal ideation like what Jinx was exhibiting

Third: He's probably mapped out best course of action FOR dealing with this and has already figured out his own limits/boundaries. Meaning he knew what he was getting into trying to talk Jinx out of suicide, and was thus more equipped to deal with the aftermath

Fourth: He's probably helped ex members of Silco's gang. The firelights seem to have a theme of healing and repairing and recovering, so they've probably also learned to forgive. If they're mission is to rebuild the lanes into a safe space, they can't exclude people they don't like, they have to make room for them. I think they fought Silco out of necessity, and I doubt Jinx would be the first person they help who's killed one of them.

These all might be a bit of a stretch but I think it really fits. Beyond that, it shows that Ekko can ACTUALLY help Jinx. As much as unconditional love can do, Ekko has the tools for Jinx's recovery and a path ready for her. He also probably knows that her "healthy" will look different from AU Powder's "healthy." On top of that, I expect he knows how to respect her even in the middle of psychotic breaks and won't agitate her already frail mental state

Peoples reactions to the scars coving his face is what really gets to me no matter what people say they make no sense Jason has the best head protection out of all the bats he's basically wearing a motorcycle helmet constantly and before that he was healed completely by the pit but people will still make the same excuses that they make in regards to the autopsy scar just because scars cool okay then give those scars to Dick tim or Bruce it makes more sense for them to have them then it does jason

I’ve talked about it before in regards to the frequency at which people mention jason with a nose that healed crooked after being broken vs bruce, dick, tim. i know people aren’t entirely sure whether the lazarus pit wipes scars but it’s supposed to be like rebirth that heals the person entirely. so if he did have scars or his nose was visibly previously broken, it shouldn’t be anymore. it’s very likely he picked up some scars in the year he spent training before UTRH, but far less likely than it is for bruce or dick or tim to have scars or noses that healed crooked. then there are the women but the idea of giving women features like crooked noses upsets people because god forbid they don’t look like the picture of conventional beauty. but that’s a different issue. the point here is that jason is less likely to have any of these but it’s so much more likely to see him have them than the others in an attempt to make him gruffer or make it clearer that he’s more likely to get into fights than the others (which isn’t even true because jason avoids fights unless he’s planned them out or is very sure he’ll win/get something out of it, and he rarely fights physically to take the edge off like bruce does).

it’s extremely funny to me that sonic not giving a shit about morality is one of his oldest character traits. like it’s from the sonic 1 japanese instruction manual. canonically he doesn’t do stuff bc he cares about right or wrong he just likes doing things. it’s just he likes making people happy and dislikes people who are awful to others. he’s an empathetic, friendly guy, which normally leads to him doing good, but he's entirely operating off of what brings him joy. and that leads to him being able to do some wild shit without a second thought. this is one of his earliest established character traits.

One piece chapter 1119 spoilers, again:

With seeing the flipped eyebrow is happening now in the anime, (for the first time on egghead if i remember it correctly), it's interesting it made reappearance in the latest manga chapter 1119 as well

I went to reread my other theory post about sanji's eyebrow changing, and noticed this other part in a wano chapter, while he fought against queen, he was asking himself what would luffy prefer of him

"Cruel, cold, emotionless warrior of science who can crush even monsters like him, as long as you give me the order."

Which makes it even more interesting that now in the new chapter luffy gave sanji, franky and bonney the order to attack him to send luffy against the gorosei, and sanji's eyebrow changed during that time - while he even mentioned the importance of listening to luffy's orders.

Hornet headcanon!

'Hornet' is not Hornet's true name.

I'm still torn between different reasonings for her having the name either

A- It was given to her as an honorary title, by Queen Vespa, during her training within the hive (or bestowed upon her after having finished her training as a symbol of her accomplishments.)

Or B- She gave the name to herself, after the fall of the kingdom, as a way to separate her current self from her past while still honoring some part of her past. (The part that is easiest for her to look back on.)

As for her birth name my sisters and I have decided on Arachnè. (The name is from a Greek myth, where the protagonist Arachnè challenges Athena to a weaving contest, wins, and is afterwards transformed into a spider.)
