Boris Howlles who...When he met you, it was on a full moon, you walked home after a night with your friends when he came rushing towards you with his glowing eyes. And he probably would've killed you. He squeezed you so tight, dug his nails into your arms so hard he left scratches. But he whimpered and threw himself off of you before grabbing at his head, a few moments later he was looking at you, his angry shaped eyes looked soft and guilty.

Boris Howlles Who... when you came looking a few days later, he shunned away from you. He was a monster, Cursed from the day he was born to be a child of the night. To animal like and monstrous to be human, to Human like to be an animal. He expected you to bring a trail of angry humans with touches and pitchforks. But was interested in you, when all you asked was to 'boop' his nose.

Boris Howlles who... dispite his mean looking face and seemingly hard outter shell, comes to enjoy your company, you're his first real friend! And so he tells you everything! About how Shifters and werewolves are different! The reason vampires and wolves of any kind don't get along, how the moon cycles affect how intense his more animalistic features and tendencies are; he tells you how his favorite places to be scratched if his chest and tummy!

Boris Howlles who... in time gets more and more attached, one day following you home in the dead of night, not telling you he was there. Until you woke up the next day to see him standing hunched over into your fridge looking around for something to eat, he was so hungry :( he sat ON your table while you made something to eat, tossing him a steak you had in your freezer. He confesses his attachment to you. He wants to be a pack with you, he'd been alone for so long that now he just can't let you go.

Boris Howlles who... is always trying to convince you to skip work and stay home with him :) who needs stupid money when it should be free to live, so just don't go out and be with him! You have to explain that's not how it works and pry him off your leg to leave the house every single time. And when one day you come smelling like... someone else, he gets... jealous... more than he was comfortable with. He gets angry and pouty with you. He doesn't utter a word to you for the next hour, mad at you for leaving and mad you had the nerve to spend time with someone else! But then that anger shifts...

Boris Howlles who... wishes he was born a Shifter instead. He's angry at fate. He didn't have a human form, he could never walk down the street with you, never hold your hand without worrying about scratching you or accidentally pulling to hard and taking your arm off, he would never be able to... properly kiss you. Not with his stupid snout and sharp fangs. He realizes in that moment that he loves you, but you couldn't be with him. It wouldn't be fair... he only opens up to these confessions and insecurities after you sat next to his and scratched his chest and tummy for thirty minutes.

Boris Howlles who... is thrilled to hear you feel the same way! You'd tried to deny your feelinging thinking a human and a 'monster' like him wouldn't be okay, or appropriate. But he didn't care, and neither should you! He loves you! And he'll be loyal and trustworthy till the very bitter end. However that doesn't stop the jealousy and insecurities of his, one day you came home smelling like that Coworker of yours the one that while you can't tell, he can smell the last they left behind on you. And he wasn't very happy.

Boris Howlles who... that night fully bonded himself to you, and you to him. He tried to be soft... tried to start slow... he was much bigger than you, and he really didn't want to hurt you. But the more he thought of you being his forever and creating a soul bond with him made his so excited... and the idea of that coworker being lustful about you made his so angry :( he was relentless and his pace was unforgiving. His brain just repeated the words "Mine, Mine, Mine, Mate, Mate, Mate," over and over and over again. He didn't stop until you passed out. Unable to take the overstimulatuon anymore.

Boris Howlles who... the morning after made you breakfast... or tried to atleast, he's too big for your little cozy apartment and isn't used to how your human technology works. It's a little burned and bland but you appreciated it nonetheless, and he happily cuddles you the rest of the day off from work. Only stopping to take a shower when you questioned him on the red liquid splatters on his fur, he said it was from a while ago but that wasn't true. It was from last night after he made sure you were passed out! You won't be seeing your coworker the next day at work tomorrow because he just couldn't let them get too close to you, his sweet little doe. But, you didn't need to know that. :)

Liam and I knew each other very well. That’s not to say we didn’t hate each other, we definitely did. Opposing opinions on everything, clashing personalities, drunken bickering, etc etc etc. We had first become acquainted through our respective best friends, whose wedding we were currently attending. The bride, my best friend since third grade, always insisted that one of these days Liam and I would be all over each other. And so us being seated next to each other was definitely a diabolical little joke of hers.

“Anyway, I’ll see you around,” said the guy whose name was Aidan and who had just loitered around our table for the last few minutes, peppering small talk at me. I smiled and nodded as he waddled away with a hand rubbing the back of his neck.

“He was sweet,” I said casually, forgetting for a minute it was Liam who was sitting next to me.

Every couple minutes he had been tugging on his tie and by now it was significantly loosened around his wide neck. He was playing with a toothpick between his finger and thumb and he nodded blankly.

“Yeah. He fancies you.”

“What?!”

“He’s absolutely undressing you in his mind right now,” he piled on and I rolled my eyes.

“You’re sick.”

“No, you’re sick for thinking he’s not dying to take you home.”

He accidentally flicked the toothpick across the table and sighed, letting his choppy hair fall around his face as his head dropped in frustration.

“You’re certainly stuck on this idea, aren’t you?” I asked, searching for eye contact.

“Well,” he scoffed softly and nodded his head in my general direction with eyes wide and brows raised. My heartbeat quickened slightly and I smiled, fighting to hold in my laughter.

“Do you wanna say that I look good tonight?” I suggested and was met with stunned silence for a second. In the two years we’d known each other he hadn’t ever seen me in this type of formal wear, and I realised now he had been actively steering his eyes away from the body-hugging dress and my cleavage all day.

“Didn’t mean to accidentally compliment me, did you?” I teased further and he let out a pained breath, gazing away maybe to hide his hot cheeks.

“Which one would you let take you home?” he tried to steer the conversation back and I laughed gently, looking out at the room full of people.

“That guy in the blue tie.” I pointed at a man with swoopy blond curls some tables away. “I really love blond men.”

Liam chewed on his lip and scowled in silence for a moment, twitching his eyebrows at my teasing comment.

“Good. You’ll have beautiful children.”

“Oh, I’m not interested in children. I just wanna have lots and lots of sex. In lots and lots of crazy positions.”

He grimaced, cheeks still warm, and he turned his face to me at last.

“Now who’s the sick one?”

“Maybe the one who’s picturing me having lots and lots of sex in lots and lots of crazy positions?”

“Or the one raving about it,” he countered, his eyes doing a quick, barely noticeable, scan of my body up and down.

“Or the one imagining it was him doing it with me.”

“So that would be Aidan.”

I laughed at his quick callback and rolled my eyes, leaning back in my chair. He laughed faintly with me too and mirrored my leaning back after grabbing another toothpick from the middle of the table. I watched him toy with it restlessly and tap it against the table for a few seconds until it was getting on my nerves.

“Stop fidgeting!” I complained as I snatched the toothpick from his hand.

“Okay, mom,” he sighed in a jokingly juvenile voice and I smirked back, laughing softly.

Yo, so I’ve been with my polycule for a while now and we’re all pretty serious about each other. There’s me, my partner, his partner (my meta), and my meta’s partner. I’ve been trying to brainstorm wedding logistics lately and turns out it’s really complicated to try to get married as a polycule in a monogamous society. We know that my partner and I are getting “legally” married and my meta and his partner are also getting “legally” married (most likely, things are not set in stone really), and then my partner and my meta will also exchange vows. Do you or any of your followers have any ideas on how to make it a smoother process? Or even just poly wedding ideas in general?

I haven't done this. I've just reconciled this problem thus far by going "I'm not marrying anyone" (and then if one of my partners desperately needs a legal benefit of marriage, that option remains open to be discussed at that time).

Having said that, I do have some things for you to remember. My comments are based in the US, and even then I'm not a lawyer. Consulting the relevant attorney would get you the best advice for some of this.

Chiefly: your ceremony doesn't have to match the marriage license(s), just make sure your witnesses and officiant are on board. You can have a ceremony with everyone, and get a marriage license with one -- or NONE -- of them. 1a. You can also have a separate ceremony for not chill people and a private one for those in the know, if that's relevant. Or bill it as a "double wedding" with your "best friends"

Following that, a marriage grants you a free name change. It doesn't have to be your legal marriage partner's last name. You can marry one but take another's name. You can all get a new last name together, or you could all take the last name of one partner, or you can TRADE last names. I think you can even change your other names? Less sure on that, somebody double check[EDIT: a commenter said its last name only] but point being, go wild, be creative.

The marriage, legally, grants you tax status and health insurance. Most other things a marriage gets you can be handled by other documents. You can appoint a POA who isn't your spouse, you can leave inheritance to anyone with a will, etc. Again, a lawyer would know better, but my understanding is that these can be filed relatively easily for under $300 a piece (depending on a lot of things). I'd shop around because that can add up if you're doing it for the whole polycule, but the option is there

As far as the other wedding logistics, I don't have a lot of input, because I haven't done it! I would say separating the seating by bride and groom probably doesn't make sense if you're having it all as one. And like, be very careful about your officiant, but aside from that, no thoughts.

💒 - the Fake Married Fic

Titled: "All They Keep Asking Me (Is If I'm Gonna Be Your Bride)"

or alternatively called:  3 times Eddie let people believe he and Buck were married, + 1 time Buck found out, + 1 time Buck cleared the air + 1 time it wasn’t a lie.

The two of them made their way down to the field in a painfully awkward stilted silence. As they reached the bottom of the field, they both waved at Christopher who was standing in line. As the court was marched out onto the field, Eddie glanced over at Buck who was standing still- jaw clenched.

“Eddie,” he said softly. “Why did Mr. Willis call me your husband?”

“I- uh,” Eddie stammered over the lump in his throat. “I might have told him we were married.”

Buck stayed silent, still staring directly forward as Eddie watched him. The voice of Chris’s principal boomed over the field. He turned his attention towards his son, taking his phone out to record the moment. It wasn’t long until the Homecoming princes and princesses of both 6ht and 7th grades had been announced, and it was Chris’s turn for the 8th grade court. Eddie felt his stomach churning- both in anticipation for his son, and in fried nerves for his best friend standing next to him.

The tension eased a little bit when Chris’s name was called as homecoming king, both Buck and Eddie cheering him on as he gleefully accepted the sash, crown, and boutonniere from one of the teachers. He turned to face them, waving at them with the widest grin on his face. 

One of the moms from Chris’s class leaned over to them. “He looks so handsome. You two must be so proud!”

Eddie couldn’t bring himself to reply, Buck swooping in immediately.

“We are,” Buck smiled widely. “Very, very proud.”

“You two did good with him,” she continued, almost rubbing salt in the wound she didn’t know was there. “My husband and I are always hearing stories from Molly about how funny and nice Christopher is… especially when other boys their age can be so cruel.”

“Well, we didn’t want him to be a heartbreaker,” Buck told her. “There’s nothing worse than someone you can’t fully trust, so I’m glad to hear that Christopher is living the way we’ve tried hard to raise him.”

It feels pointed- like every word drives another knife into Eddie’s heart. He should have known this would hurt Buck- that Buck would get weird and freak out. It’s exactly why Eddie hadn’t wanted to tell him. He knew Buck didn’t feel the same, and wouldn’t want to mess up their friendship like this.

Molly’s mom walked away, leaving the two of them alone. Eddie turned to face Buck, opening his mouth to speak before Buck cut him off preemptively.

“Did you do it to pick on me?” he asked.

“What?” Eddie’s brows furrowed.

“I mean- someone had to have told you,” Buck scoffed. “Was it Hen? Chimney? God, I knew telling him was a bad idea. I just guess I never thought you would play a nasty prank on me about it if you found out.”

“Buck, what are you…” Eddie’s voice came out broken.

“Save it, Eddie, I can’t-” Buck sighed. “I can’t talk to you right now, I- just… I can’t.”

The man huffed and puffed punching a wall after wall so hard some completely collapsed, grunting loudly then gasped seeing the bitch who fucked up his best friend wedding. His so called bride! He tackled her onto the ground, causing both of to go tumbling and hitting a wall.

“Bucky stop!”

His fist was curled hovering over her as his chest began to tighten sending daggers her way. His face looked straight at her brown eyes, scared face, bruised body and knotted hair. He thought it was a trick and yelled, “Why should I?”

She gulps tiredly, “Because I know you..your mother was named Winifred but everyone called her Winnie, you’re a night owl and your favorite music is 40s Jazz, the classic kind.”

“True again. Anyone could know that, Steve must’ve told you about that.”

“You have a secret crush on Sam. You won’t admit it but you care about him dearly, you only ever told me that information.”

That caused the man who shake his head and uncurl his fist sighing as he repeatedly apologized for what he done. Stella smiled softly and tiredly rubbed her face explaining what happened, how she ended up here in the first place.

The bride to be grinned staring at the mirror in her long blushing white gown, tied up curls already pulled back into a high positioned bun and makeup done just right. She turned around and hummed walking around the room and then turned over her shoulder.

“This day is going to be perfect. The kind of day of which I've dreamed since I was small.” She said in a singing voice smirking as she walked around grabbing the face of the mannequin.

“Everybody will gather 'round. Say I look lovely in my gown.” She continued and yelled, “What they don't know is that I have fooled them all!”

The two were racing looking for a way out, Bucky helping Stella stand up in support despite them being surrounded by rock and dust from the caves. He gave her a soft smile, repeatedly apologizing and wondering how he is gonna explain to his best friend he tackled his bride to the ground.

He shrugged muttering, “Ah he’ll be fine.”

“This day was going to be perfect. The kind of day of which I've dreamed since I was small.” She hummed looking at him with tears in her eyes, “
But instead of having cake. With all my friends to celebrate.”


He sighed keeping the soft smile as he’s hearing her sing the words, “My wedding bells, they may not ring for me at all..”

“I could care less about the dress. I won't partake in any cake! Vows, well I'll be lying when I say.” She sing smirking with pride, pushing the female mannequin out her way, staring straight up at the one of the groom, “That through any kind of weather. I'll want us to be together.”


Her smirk only grew as she cupped the face of the mannequin that was shaped like a groom as she continued, “The truth is I don't care for him at all! No, I do not love the groom. In my heart there is no room! But I still want him to be all mine!”

Bucky and Stella raced for their lives, using their strength and endurance to make a big impact into the walls of the cave.”

“We must escape before it's too late. Find a way to save the day! Hope, I'll be lying if I say..” Stella sings running and climbing up the rocks, following Bucky in between the narrow halls.


She glanced at him, “I don't fear that I may lose him. To one who wants to use him.” She grabbed his shoulder as he wrapped his arm around her secure position as they jumped and landed on steady ground as she hummed, “Not care for, love and cherish him each day!”


Bucky smirked finding an old abandoned cart down the mines into the river that will allow them to probably. The two of them pushed as Stella smiled at her friend and promptly sang, “For I oh so love the groom. All my thoughts he does consume.” 


He returned the smiled helping her into the cart, launching himself inside as the pair rolled down the tracks into the river. As they did, Bucky swiftly turned around and sang, “Oh, Steve! We’ll be there very soon!”

The wedding marches were held high and mighty. The crowd gathered around dressed in plenty of glamour outfits, bridesmaids were wearing their best all designed by Liane and Amelia. The Avengers, The Young Avengers, Fantastic 4, X-Men and many others surrounded the place in glorious colors.

Steve was standing there smiling having recently seen nursing a headache with Nat and Sam beside him. A few faces looked indifferent while others were more than pleased with the outcome of the event.

The doors opened as the bride sung proudly, “Finally, the moment has arrived! For me to be one lucky bride!”

She dressed trailing behind her in glory, her headdress perfectly matched and the whole thing was all set in motion. With help from Leo and Cassie, she stood above the steps looking at the groom who’s eyes were more blue than before, with a hint of green in the middle being mind controlled to look like a mild headache. His blonde hair was swept back and his tux was fitted to match the theme of the wedding.

They were almost there as Stella looked at the broken clock with tears filling her eyes. She gasped as she sing, “Oh, the wedding we won't make! He'll end up marrying a fake!”


Bucky sing the continued line rubbing her shoulder and huff, “Steve will be...”

“Mine, all mine.” Sang the bride, her eyes flashed a deep green for a second before returning back to normal brown.

speculating about the "plot" of my favorite album of 2023 (Married in Mount Airy, Nicole Dollanganger) 🍸🤍🌙💎💒

Before going into spoilers/the album's storyline, I want to commend how STELLAR the album's production was, and how far @nicoledollanganger has come since starting out making dream pop recorded in her bathroom/bedroom on garage band (still love that music, but the progress speaks for itself imo). This album is nothing less than hauntingly beautiful, aided in no small part by the final composition and how the story is woven amid the vocals, instrumentation and lyrics. It's the kind of music so good it makes me want to SCREAM, on god.

Favorite tracks were: Married in Mount Airy, Gold Satin Dreamer, Whispering Glades, Nymphs Finding the Head of Orpheus and Moonlite

(Spoilers below, duh)

my interpretation of the story told by the album starts with the bride running away with her husband on their honeymoon (Married in Mount Airy) Their good times together, though with an underlining eeriness resting below the surface (Gold Satin Dreamer and Runnin' Free). The husband relapsing/worsening alcoholism and violent temper (Dogwood) The bride begging her husband to stop drinking and the violent behavior (My Darling True) Knowing what she has to do, but overwhelmed with fear and hesitation- she knows what she has to do if she wants to live, and she has a feeling tonight's the night, but she can't help but fear having to go through with it. (Some Time After Midnight)

The bride's ultimatum to put an end to the toxic relationship with her husband confessing to the murder of her husband. (Bad Man) The Bride shoots her husband late in the night, leaving him to rot in the forest/reflecting on how bad they were for one another. (Nymphs finding the Head of Orpheus) Reflecting on what might have been the "worst" most dangerous nights shared with her ex-husband (Moonlite) Making her peace with what she's done, laying all the love she once had for her ex-husband to rest. (Whispering Glades)

The final track I'll Wait for Your Call is extremely bittersweet because, even after everything the Bride has gone through, and all she's done, there will always be a part of her that loves her ex-husband. And even in death, she can't help loving him from afar, and dreams about reuniting with him in the afterlife.

Also of note is how the ending instrumentation of "I'll Wait for your call" perfectly mirrors the opening music for the opening track, like a tragic ouroboros. IMO, the perfect way to end an album written to sound like a surreal dream you can't awaken from. Like Mount Airy is this fucked up purgatory for these two sinners cursed to remain tethered together till the end of time. The Groom cursed to relive a hell of his own making (constant drinking, endless wrath, stuck with a woman who loves him less and less with each passing day) and the Bride cursed to remain in the abusive relationship as punishment for her murder.

Heartbreaking, haunting- but undeniably beautiful. It's everything I love about Dream Pop and more, it was well worth the wait.

and like MY GODDDD, not to "spoil" the ending of the album (but also it's hard to spoil an album like this considering it's just something you gotta experience as a whole, but i digress) it's so brilliant to have the line "Where all you have to bring is your love of everything" from the MIMA's opening track work in tandem with the line "There's a spot in the grass in the grass waiting for you at Whispering Glades" Bringing the tale of a bride running away with her groom on their honeymoon; their love story ending with the bride murdering her husband and laying him to where she leaves her love of everything. Literally going from Married in Mount Airy to Buried in Mount Airy

My one nitpick here is that i'm not too crazy about the album's cover. I really love how she usually illustrates her own cover art for albums/EPs, and the image used is very uncanny valley and a bit stilted to me.

(but you know, this is completely subjective, and at least it's better than the cover for Heart Shaped Bed, again in my opinion. maybe i only feel this way bc there were so many lovely promos dropped before the album, i can't help but compare them. Idk why, but there's something so compelling about the image of her with the wired phone- I would personally vouch for that one as cover art)

My Wife - Carin Hart ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔪 Carin Hart always hits for me. Honestly, I've loved everything I've read of hers. My Wife, however, was a bit of a trip. I honestly had no idea how it was going to play out and I can safely say that I did not expect anything that happened after the 75% mark. Holy crap.

It's smutty for sure. The plot was a concept. I wouldn't say that it's super deep or anything. Hart was going for the old school slasher film feel and it was nailed perfectly. I really liked the characters despite how utterly unlikeable they were. I can't even go into my reasonings without spoiling things. Just know that Hart writes unhinged, murderous MMCs very well.

I really liked it. It'll be added in the "I need a physical copy as a trophy" list for me.

Lost Times - Jean Marie ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⚽️ This is my first read from this author and honestly, I was a little shocked at how much I liked this book. Ludwig and Thalia were great characters with decent chemistry. I do wish there was a little more added to the back story for each of them. Yeah, we get some insight into Ludwig's relationship with his parents but none of it really felt fleshed out. We get nothing really on Thalia.

The dialogue felt chunky at times, to the point that I was taken out of the story because it didn't flow naturally. It just felt contrived and forced.

I did not care for Jasmine as a character. I can't even say it's because I don't like kids in books because frankly, there have been plenty of books with child side-characters that didn't irritate me. Jasmine was just over-the-top.

It wasn't bad. It wasn't great but I certainly did not hate the book.

Volcano of Pain - Heidi Stark ⭐️⭐️ 🏝️ Yeah, so nothing about this is romance. I understand that it's a duet and maybe we'll get more of Margaux x Dex in the next book but this was not it. This is over 600 pages of an abusive relationship. That's not me dogging on dark romance. I mean an actual abusive relationship, physically, emotionally, financially, mentally abusive.

It was wholly uncomfortable and honestly, did nothing to endear me to Margaux. I know that being in a relationship like that can be hard to leave. But she's been married 3 times previously, left a 6 year relationship that did not have any love in it, and immediately jumped into some fucked up dependency with a drug-addicted, alcoholic 39-year-old. She has a history of abusive relationships and yet, not an ounce of self-preservation.

And then we get little snippets of Dex cyber-stalking her, literally seeing that she's getting the shit kicked out of her, and yet doing nothing. None of these characters are likable, or frankly redeemable. Just gross.

If You Give a Billionaire a Bride - Ann Einerson ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💒 This was definitely a cozy, no-angst little romance. The characters were decently written. Everly and Cash had enough chemistry that the relationship felt believable for sure. I think the issue I came up with were the fact that Cash's scar and his self-esteem issues because of it felt really contrived. He's getting laid constantly. He's called himself a playboy, and yet he still thinks women are grossed out by his face. It was just nonsensical.

There is no real drama. It works for the coziness but it also just felt slightly lacking. I still want some drama.

Make Me Sin - M. O. Absinthe ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 𓁈 I'm honestly not sure how I feel about Make Me Sin beyond, I like it. It definitely had me enthralled the entire time. You wanna talk about slow burn, enemies-to-lovers? Lord have mercy. The plot was just so good and the chemistry between Set and Serena hit so well. 

There was just something about the book that made me knock down a star. I truly can't say what it was that would have made this a perfect 5, it just felt like something was missing. I am looking forward to the sequel for sure though. I need to know how it all turns out.

Play Along - Liz Tomforde ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⚾️ So many times I read a romance novel and I'm like "Yeah, I hella like those characters." And then there are romances that I know are going to stick with me beyond a few days after reading them.  Play Along is one of those books.  It had everything you could ever want out of a sports romance. Isaiah was so devoted to Kennedy, from the start. And Kennedy was just chef's kiss of a FMC. They worked so well together. The chemistry was top-notch. 

Beyond the characters though, the plot and the pacing were just so good. At no point was I wanting to just wrap it up. There probably could have been another hundred pages of Isaiah flirting shamelessly with his fake wife, Kennedy, and I would have gobbled it up like a greedy little toddler. I loved everything about this book. I absolutely need to read the rest in this series.

Joust - Mercedes Lackey ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🐉 I will forever love this book. Joust was one of my first forays into Lackey's work and honestly, as a teenager in love with dragons, this was exactly what I needed to rope me into her worlds. Vetch and Ari as just two of the most iconic characters for me. There was just so much depth created not just with the characters themselves, but also with the world around them. 

Yes, Vetch does speak older than what he is, supposedly. Vetch doesn't know how old his is and he was starved for a considerably long time.  "Ten or eleven, sir, though I'm not sure." He'd lost track of the seasons, really, it wasn't hard to do so when your days were exhausting and the work never ending. "Maybe older." Maybe much older, but he wasn't going to say that. There's a good chance that Vetch was in his mid-to-late teens. And honestly, he dealt with enough trauma that yeah, some of what he says comes across as a little aged for him, but I could roll with it. 

Regardless, I love this book. I love this series. I need more people to read it.

Matching All the Way - Veronica Eden ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⛸️ This is certainly a cozy hockey romance. There really wasn't much to it. I thoroughly enjoyed it and the pacing felt just right.

I like the characters for sure as well. Cole was just chef's kiss good and Eve was so well written to be a rep for ADHD. Honestly, it was like straight up reading about myself. This was one of the best written ADHD characters I have read ever.

Overall it's good. The plot, the characters, the writing. All of it is good. It got most of its stars because I loved Eve so much.

Rook & Rebel - Kate Crew ⭐️⭐️ 🏍️ There was just something about Rook & Rebel that I definitely did not vibe with. Oh, I know what it was: the characters. First, Regan is obnoxiously whiney and bland. I spent far too much time hoping that she was going to get better. Spoiler Alert! She did not get better. Rook was also a class-A dick and a giant moron. Oh I've got a "pack" (literal term used for his little gang of friends) who are just so good at getting information out of people, my sister is even a genius hacker. But alas, I can only get dirt on my number 1 enemy by using his reclusive daughter. 

And honestly, fuck Rook's sister. Regan went out of her way to befriend her and this bitch was all for Rook's revenge plot. She literally pulled the "I like Regan but don't give up your dreams for someone else." His dreams are literally about ruining her life along with her father's. WTAF.

This was not it. The characters were crappy and whatever hilarious banter there was in this, I must have missed it.

He's Not My Type - Meghan Quinn ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🏒 This book is the epitome of why I love and hate Meghan Quinn books. I love the plot. I love the characters. But my god, are they just too long. Like buy 100 pages. I loved Halsey and Blakely. They had such great chemistry and the banter was on point. But it didn't need to be 400 pages long. 

My biggest ick, beyond the unnecessary length of the book was also Blakely's need to compare Halsey to Perry at every point. She repeatedly admitted to herself that she was over Perry. The book didn't dwell on the past relationship really at all. But anytime Halsey did anything, Blakely was there saying "Perry would never" or "Perry didn't do that." I rolled my eyes so many times that it gave me a headache.

Anyway, it's was okay. I didn't hate it. I just really don't care for the length of Meghan Quinn's books. Obviously, there are plenty of other reviews that state otherwise. To each their own.
