bro we don't even know who derrick is, but apparently he's someone to me now too.

You were packing your luggage. Clothes, toiletries, some snacks and your favourite stuffed animals. You were busy either trying to play tetris with it or just doing the art of stuffing everything inside as long as it fits while Hajun was leaning against the door frame of your bedroom watching you as you packed. He had came by earlier saying he needed to grab something that he forgotten to take with him the last time he was at your place but in reality he felt unsettled that you were leaving the country. Not that you were leaving for good. It was the school holidays so you being an international student at the international private university the two of you go to only make sense that you would return home during these times.

It tugged at his heart strings as he saw you pack, he didn't want you to go. To him it felt like he was being left alone again, tossed aside after his use was done but he knew you didn't think of him like that. You never would. You were too kind for that sort of thing. When you first told him that you were planning to go back, his face fell a bit but it was so slight that even you who has managed to see thorough him from time to time didn't pick it up. Despite however reluctant he was, he still upgraded your ticket to first class behind your back due to the fact you wouldn't let him buy your plane ticket back.

“Is there something you need Hajun?” You had just noticed him leaning against your doorframe as he stared at you. “Did you find what you were looking for?”

“Of course I did. I have a great memory you know?” Hajun had put on his usual smile masking the fact that he was going to miss you dearly and that he didn't actually leave anything behind last time.

“Oh? But you forgot it here the last time?” You raised an eyebrow.

Hajun just chuckled. “What if I said it was because I wanted an excuse to come and see you alone?” He smirked.

At that you turned your head back to your luggage flushing slightly at his slightly florty remarks.

“Oh? Are you blushing now?”

“I'm just joking with you. I'll water them for my precious partner.”

When it was time to send you off, all the members of BAE were there. You were talking with Anne as they hugged you and told you lots of stuff. After you were done talking with Anne and Allen, Hajun accompanied you to the security gate. The two of you walking in silence, you not knowing what to say to him. The two of you were holding hands as you walked, his grip firm and steady and his demeanour confident as usual as if his heart wasn't racing at the fact he has to part with you.

It was when the two of you stopped near the security gate that he finally said something. “Take care okay?” His gentle squeeze of your hand makes you melt a bit.

“I'll be gone for just two weeks okay? And don't forget to water my plants, Hajun.”

Hajun seemed amused at the fact that you just had to remind him about your plants but it's not like he would purposely not water them and let them die.

You didn't expect that. You didn't expect him to do that. It felt so weird that you had trouble thinking a bit but he just ushered you saying that you're going to be late if you don't get a move on. You gave his hand one last squeeze before you left to pass the gates leaving Hajun to his own thoughts.

The two weeks felt quite fast for you but to Hajun it felt like time was dragging itself. You called and texted him often when you're not busy with your family or the friends you had back there. Back in Japan, Hajun was doing what he usually does, model, prepare for stage battles with BAE and the such. There were times he missed you so much that the calls and text didn't do much. He would never admit to it. It took an even heavier toll on him when he gets his trap reactions after performances.

It started like it usually would, in his house back in Korea with his parents telling him how he was unneeded after his half brother, Dongha was born. How he was later sent to Japan to make ‘networks’, how even until now these memories still haunt him. Even more when the trap reaction added the thought of you leaving him for another better man, how you would leave him after he had no value. During times like these Hajun would hold close the plushie that you left in his room, desperate for comfort in any form. He would never tell anyone though, this was between him and god.

The day you came back, it was already quite late at night and BAE had just finished a performance when Hajun had come to fetch you in that limousine of his. People at the airport were staring but you were too tired to tell Hajun off about it. You just sat side by side, shoulders touching. You were slightly worried about Hajun getting a trap reaction and at first you had denied for him to come pick you up but he was adamant. In the end he won and here you were. You leaned your head against his shoulder, taking in the comfort his presence brought to you after being away for so long. Hajun just let you be, none of his smarty remarks coming to bite you this time. Instead he wrapped an arm around your shoulder, pulling you closer to him. He could tell that his trao reaction wasn't far from happening but he wanted to come pick you up. To make sure you really didn't leave him behind.

You had decided to stay over at BAE’s shared apartment that night. You had changed and all the luggage you brought sat in a corner of Hajun’s room as you laid in bed next to him. His breathing was heavy, and you knew it was going to be a long night. Hajun, always so attractive, looked even more attractive to you when his tinted glasses were off. His face bare to you but you knew now wasn't a good time to be thinking about that as his grip on you got tighter, the symptoms of his trap reaction taking place. He would rarely let you see him like this, only some rare occasions where it got so bad that he had to confide in you.

And every time it never fails to pain you how someone as confident and strong as Hajun could be reduced to something like this just from the phantometal’s reaction. The memory of that one ti-

“Y/n.” His words came out so soft but so pained that you snapped out of your thoughts as you looked at him. His eyes were unfocused, his breathing shallow and his grip on you tight. You know compared to the others Hajun had a better time at keeping it in check, suppressing it but it still hurt all the same to see him in this state.

“Don't leave me.” Were the words that shocked you. You didn't expect him to say that but you guessed it made sense with what he had been through. You just pulled him closer as you mumbled out how you weren't going to, how the thought had never passed in your mind.

It took a while of coaxing and reassurances to get Hajun to calm down back to normal. By then you were nodding off, barely able to stay awake anymore. Hajun who had just managed to get through the night once again saw your eyes drooping as he rubbed your back soothingly, trying to get you to just succumb to sleep knowing you needed it just as much as he does.

“Hajun… I missed you…” You mumbled out sleepily. It wasn't clear if you had intended to say that to him but he heard it all the well.

Hajun let his guard down even more to you that night as he whispered out to you that he had missed you too, the words that his ego wouldn't let him say when you're fully awake but maybe someday. Hajun wasn't sure if you would remember but if you did you would probably think it as a dream but he was fine with it.

“I missed you.” Hajun whispered right next to your ear, his breath hitting your ear gently as he continued to lull you to sleep.

If it’s okay could you recommend comics for the flash fam? I really want to start reading them but I have no idea where to start 😅

YES I ABSOLUTELY CAN ANON!! reading flashfam comics can change your life for the better fr, unlike batman comics which usually change your life for the worse. Flash comics are honestly very simple to get into? for the most part you can just pick which era you want to start with, hop on that mainline ongoing and read from there.

this got kind of ridiculously long (i ramble about flash sorry)

i am not by any means a well-read silver age fan so I'll just skip right over those LMAO. if you want to read barry's run i assume you can just read flash v1 up until crisis. if you're interested in reading wally as kid flash he's featured in backups throughout a lot of v1 iirc!

unsurprisingly, my number one rec for the flashfam would be the flash volume 2 (1987). it's got pretty much everything you need. it introduced the speed force, basically created what we think of as the flashfamily, reintroduced & created beloved characters, and built up wally into the loser we know and love today<3 at its core it's the story of wally's journey from the very start of his career as the flash, learning how to fill barry's shoes and be a grown-up. it starts when he's this insane cringe 20 year old loser and ends with him as a full adult who's married with two kids LOL. it does soooo much work for wally as a character it's unreal.

but to keep it real flash v2 is......very long. like Incredibly long. it is 200+ issues and ran for over 20 years. so i can break it down into some smaller pieces & try to provide a roadmap so it's maybe a little less intimidating

the bad news is that the first guy to start out on the run fucking HATED wally for some reason lmfao and it shows. it's painful to read. the good news is he only stayed for the first 14 issues lol so honestly you can just skip those and start at #15 where william messner-loebs took over. now......the messner-loebs era is also not perfect and can be a bit of a slog. I love it in the fond 'wow wtf was all that' kind of way but it is definitely not a masterpiece. there are a lot of unmemorable, bland (occasionally batshit & ridiculous) arcs and he introduces a whole army of mostly forgettable side characters. credit where credit is due there is a lot of good stuff in there, he set up some stuff that is foundational to flash lore (like LINDA!! and hartley!) but it's not for everyone. if you want you can jump in at #31, where wally moves to keystone, or if you read some of it and it's not for you it's honestly fine to just skip to #62 where waid's run begins. #62-65 are a flashback retelling of wally's origin story (basically flash year one) and it's sooo good. essential wally reading.

the waid run is definitely the best section of the comic. it's classic it's iconic it builds the flashfamily it creates the speedforce it introduces bart allen. it's phenomenal. if you are interested in characters like bart, the garricks, johnny & jesse quick, and max mercury they are all integrated into the flashfam over this run. if nothing else i would recommend reading this part. oh and SPEAKING of bart allen, he gets introduced in issue #92! he hangs out in flash for a bit, zero hour happens, and pretty soon after his impulse series starts in 1995.

this is my #2 flashfam rec! if you have been in these tumblr circles at all then you've heard us rave about impulse 1995. it's simply Thee comic of all time. everyone on earth needs to read it im not kidding. it follows bart's life living with max mercury and his daughter helen, trying to adjust to normal life in the past. it's just. it's the best. it's 89 issues long, but honestly it goes by SUPER fast. i would recommend doing what i did and reading impulse and flash in parallel, just to get that organic experience & context. they cross over several times until impulse eventually ends.

ok back to flash v2. once geoff johns takes over..... i mean i won't say it ruins the comic and there is definitely stuff worth reading but i love waid infinitely better. it's really up to you. waid also comes back now and then to write a few chunks.

the flash series doesn't end until 2008. the next big thing after would be flash: rebirth, which. i am not a fan of for obvious reasons (get back in that coffin barry) but it's essential to understanding the plot so i have to include it lol.

i honest to god have no idea wtf was going on during flashpoint & new52. I will not pretend to understand that era. however if you are interested in the modern flashfam & the introduction of characters like ace west and avery ho, there are a couple good places to start! if you want to read williamson's run, you can start at the rebirth flash run (flash v5 #1). wally is eventually reintroduced (thank god) during this run.

if you want to start at the jeremy adams run (which features lots of members of the flashfamily) you can start at flash #768, which runs all the way to #800.

I would personally recommend the current flash ongoing written by si spurrier! it is kind of a lot and I'm in the minority in my love for it but it's interesting, thoughtful, has a role for pretty much every character, and has a lot of really cool cosmic horror elements. i will concede that it is VERY complicated and technical but you can tell spurrier has things to say and honestly it's so rare that a comic makes me think these days that i'm eating it up.

there were also two recent flashfam miniseries that just finished, speed force and jay garrick: the flash! i enjoyed both. they're short and fun.

aaaand that's my list! it is by no means comprehensive and it is very possible i got some things wrong so I apologize in advance. if you have any more questions I will be happy to try and answer them. I hope this was at least a little bit helpful and not even more confusing lol!

I must ask cuz I'm honestly super interested but know nothing about it so. How would u recommend for one to get into paradise? I'm pretty sure it's a multimedia franchise, but. I do not know any of the media LMAO

I'm assuming you're talking about paradox live so I'm gonna try my best to explain (if any mutuals want to chime in their opinions I would love that)

paradox live is a multimedia music project thing that is confusing as hell basically

the original format is a series of audio dramas you can find in the correct watch order with subs on youtube really easily. there's also some written translations if you prefer that

I absolutely suck at audio dramas because they're crazy understimulating to me so it took like. six months after I got into paralive to listen through half of them. I've only listened to the drama past live and a couple of the shuffle units. 2x speed is SO HELPFUL for me when I'm struggling to make it through

why? because there's an anime that came out last year. that's how it got me, and it's a lot more accessible if you're like me and can't do audio dramas. however it does do the sk2001 thing and go crazy off the rails in the last 3 episodes for basically no reason? so if you want the actual intended story you'll need to switch to the dramas for vibes and beyond. however also like sk2001 this anime original stuff is pretty fun (shoutout to episode 9 fr) so if you plan on watching the anime watch it all the way through (but be aware the ending is NOT the same as the dramas)

there's also EVEN MORE YAYYYYYYY. there's a "side novel" called memory that is NOT a SIDE NOVEL this is PRETTY VITAL INFORMATION don't wait six months to read it like I did.

if you're interested in getting into paralive here's what I recommend reading/watching in order: dramas up to vibes/the anime, live audio drama, memory novel, the rest of the audio dramas. shuffle units and other side stuff you can really do at any time

I'd also recommend listening to a few of the songs before you start just to get a feel for it. honestly just put on rap guerilla reload and you'll get a decent idea of each group's sound. I can also give recommendations because I do have favourites

and never forget that allen is the bible

#I am NOT an expert on paralive I only got into it last october #but I hope this is good enough? really if you can do audio dramas this is super easy. if you're like me it is not #not even sure what the consensus is on the anime anymore. alright, this is actually ro lore. because- because because my fave robin is dick grayson *everybody gasps* and has been for YEARS.

i've never been a big batman lover, actually have had one-sided beef with him since elementary school. for some reason, i hated all of the men in the justice league except for the flash (could never hate barry allen my cutie patootie snuggle wuggle bear), and that was so amplified for bruce wayne.

partially bc i thought he was a loser like you don't even powers, you're not even a superhero fr, flop womp womp, yada yada yada. then. this girl i hated so. fucking. bad. for so. many. reasons. was the biggest batman fan ever. and when i was in 5th grade, she would always always always talk about how he was better than everyone else, and she would start arguments about it, and it was just so annoying.

so i already hated him, and she liked him, which means i hated him even more basically. also, i hated how many movies he has. pisses me off so bad to this day.

bc of that, i never got into batman or anything related to batman outside of the justice leage, and i never knew anything about him than his backstory. which i didn't even know that well bc for the longest time, i thought he got his powers from bats, and it turns out he's actually just like the rest of us. snooze.

i can't give you an exact timeline of how i discovered dick, but it probably went something like this:

saw nightwing - heart eyes - looks up nightwing on wiki - heart eyes - "first robin" - shocked emoji - connects teen titans dots - ignores everything about batman - hyper fixation passes - watches young justice - robin? - dick grayson? - heart eyes - NIGHTWING!!!!! - heart eyes

when i watched yj, my love for dick multipled by the thousands, and i already loved him bc i was a huge teen titans lover, and i always knew about batman and robin but my dumb ass was such a batman hater that i literally never connected the fucking dots.

my obsession with him is truly legendary, i had a nightwing theme for my spam acc on ig and twitter, all of my friends send me nightwing edits when they see them, and when my best dc loving irl wishes me a happy birthday, she calls me the "#1 nightwing stan" bc it's BAD for me.

but like i said, i wasn't well versed in batman lore until really recently, and that's where jason comes in. idk why when i read "first" robin i never once thought about there being any other ones, even though that more than implies that there are ??? but there's this guy ik who i went to middle school with who's also a fan of comics and superheroes like i am. and his fave character of all time is daredevil.

so one day, we're talking back and forth about which is better, dc or marvel. and he mentions that while he's not really a dc lover, they have one of the most goated characters. *insert jason todd*. and he's like, "yk who that is, right?" and i'm like, "pftt duh (no i don't)" but i'm never gonna let a man catch me slacking, so i do my due dilligence and start my research.

boom. here we are. with 2.5 blogs dedicated to jason who’s spent months living my head. dick will always have my heart, though. honestly, they both will.

So Idk if I am even gonna post this since it's just some pointless shitpost.

If I decide to post this then beware of cringe and terrible skills of expressing my thoughts.

Watching Wednesday and her admiration for Edgar Allen Poe not only brought a lot of memories from my childhood of watching The Addams Family movies but also of one particular author (who also brought a lot of memories from graduation time but we don't talk about that). In my country since we are little we are introduced to one poet. Everyone knows his ballads and I would say most kids grew up with them. They are ballads from poet Karel Jaromír Erben and his work made mine and others' childhood like fr he is so iconic for us. His most famous work is his ballads collection called Kytice (it's mostly known by this title otherwise the whole name is Kytice z pověstí národních - A Bouquet of Folk Legends). I do have some favorite ones and for some reason in two of my fav ones either a baby or a child dies/is killed so Idk what that says about me. For some reason I always loved it and it was like a comfort thing for me Idk.

Can't help but think that maybe Wednesday would enjoy some of them lol.

Anyway live, love, laugh and read Kytice by Karel Jaromír Erben.

Literally forgot every single thought I've ever had about Lloyd Allen while I was writing this even though I think about him 24/7. The mind is cruel.

First impression: I thought he was so boring and I did not give a shit about him at ALL lmao. one of my friends at the time who was a fellow shaperaverse cosplayer was cosplaying Raven and since we were known for doing couples he was like "ricky you HAVE to cosplay lloyd" so after I listened to radio hour I was like ugh ok I guess I have to give a shit about this guy. How do I make him cooler.

Impression now: my babygirl my princess I am climbing the walls of my enclosure every time I think about him etc. he's just like me fr. I think he's such an interesting an complex character and I want to analyze him and simultaneously I think he's ridiculous and I love making fun of him. I mischaracterized him so badly from the years of 2020-2022 but now I see the light.

Favorite moment: i’m gonna be predictable and say either of the gnome murder scenes. ESPECIALLY the second one. what possessed him. also the time he compared raven to a dog.

Idea for a story: I want to write a fic that's set on the night where he kills(?) the first cultist after being attacked & goes to Matt's apartment, where it would be after the two of them had had a fight and were on a break from their relationship. Examines Lloyd's personality and issues with relationships at that point in his life.

Unpopular opinion: I do not think he sees Asha as a mother figure at all. I don't even know if that's a common fan perception but I feel like I've seen it around and I do not agree. They are 4ever siblings/besties to me. Also I think him having a terrible time adjusting to his new body and spending half his time still being a doll is really narratively unsatisfying, even though it does make sense and has good angst potential. (and I feel part of it is a justification for the liveshow puppet lol) I'm kind of on the fence about it because on the one hand I love it when he's miserable but on the other hand it just feels redundant and unnecessary to make him suffer like that beyond what is supposed to be a happy ending.

Favorite relationship: definetly lloydven. it's not even a competition. they have had me in a chokehold since I was 15. literally the toxic yaoi ever. beyond that i’m really intrigued by lloyd & michael’s friendship as well as the dynamic of the august sky playhouse as a whole.

Favorite headcanon: god I don't even know. I have too many thoughts about him to remember what is and isn't a headcannon. the world will know my lloyd headcannons whenever the demon posesses me to post them on tumblr dot com.
