it's really interesting for her to at first appear like a typical Demure Shonen Girl, but even within that personality archetype she proves to be a real stand out character through being consistently interesting and important to the narrative with her own mysteries and social circle, in a way this genre's heroines' rarely ever get

such as: the story explicitly stating that the main driving force of the narrative so far (235 chapters and counting!) is in pursuit of HER ambitions, even going so far as to say that the male protags are just there to help out, their own objectives as things to do along the way

AND THEN

like 180 chapters in we have this big revelation that, instead of her combat ability being held back by her being "too soft-hearted" to shoot with real bullets, she's actually being selfish! putting on a facade of weakness because she doesn't want people to hate/fear her for being too strong... playing this balancing act of being strong enough to not be a liability, but weak enough to not be threatening...

and to me that Really resonates with like, just the experience of being a woman in general, and also more metatexually of being a female character (especially in a shonen action series)

like. female characters are despised for being too weak and despised for being too strong, and the line between them is crazy thin and arbitrary. so it's really cool to see that stigma used to subvert your expectations and make world trigger's heroine even more interesting than she already was!!

it is SOOOO satisfying to go back and reread the series with this knowledge completely re-contextualizing your view of her character, and done in a way that never feels like that first read was worthless or that her character was made weaker for the sake of a twist.

not to mention the way this aspect is reinforced by hatohara, a character who ACTUALLY couldn't shoot real bullets because she couldn't handle it, being literally one of the most intriguing characters and skilled combatants in the series. do you realize how insane it is that she only missed a shot ONCE? and she also gets mistakenly viewed as weak-willed by some of the people who were closest to her (ninomiya and ema), something that is tangibly countered.

It would've been really funny if he had actually made a face of worry or discontent. You were definitely going to bring it up to your parents during dinner.

Hand in hand, you were strolling through Akihabara with Bakugou. The other hand holding two bags of merchandise you had bought – a successful hunt indeed. Katsuki, however, only had one small bag with a new video game he bought for you both to enjoy, so all in all the free day you two had was very relaxing and stress-free for once.

Until it all went down the drain…

“Babe, do you wanna get something to eat before we go back?”, you asked while already looking around. You knew an incredible restaurant that wasn’t too far away from your current location.

“No, [Your.name]! Did you forget already? We need to cook something with the chicken in our fridge before it gets bad.”, Bakugou playfully rolled his eyes while nudging you. To think he was ever having such a …domestic talk with someone. A year ago he would have laughed hysterically at the thought of living together with someone and managing a small household.

“Oh… right.”, you chuckled before you leaned in to smooch him, “Ain’t I lucky to have such an amazing boyfriend who remembers these things.”

“Yeah, right. Keep sweet talking and I might even-“

“YOOOO [YOUR.NAME]!”, someone yelled, interrupting your intimate moment, hence Katsuki shooting him a death glare, however…

“Oh! Akitoshi, hey.”, you greeted the significantly smaller male as well.

“It’s been a hot minute. How you doin’?”, he grinned, then looked at Katsuki, “I see, already slipping into the next pair of panties, huh?”

This little bastard- Though Bakugou’s string of thought was cut when you just awkwardly laughed and hugged his muscular body closer to your side.

“Akitoshi, this is Bakugou Katsuki, my boyfriend, so be nice, okay?”, then you turned to Katsuki who was scowling, “Babe, this is my ex, Ninomiya Akitoshi. We mutually agreed to separate so there weren’t any harsh feelings, he’s a good guy.”

“Nice to meet you, bro!”, Aki tried to break the ice by going in for a fist bump, but Bakugou was not having it as he just kept staring at him.

While you were talking to your ex for a few moments, Katsuki couldn’t help but start eyeing him up and down. He was small, skinny, feminine looking and kind of dainty. Everything he wasn’t. To be quite honest, Bakugou was the complete opposite. He was as tall as you, very buff and well-trained and suits wanted to cry when he would try them on because of his sheer build he acquired due to being a pro-hero for many years now. And seeing how your type was, very obviously, something very different before you met him… Bakugou was suddenly a little insecure and he hated feeling that way.

“Okay, well, Aki, it was nice meeting you, but we need to go now and catch a train.”

“Same, dude, same. Glad you’ve found someone you like, you look happy, man.”, he said with a small smile as he looked at you and Katsuki, who was still just grunting and holding extra tight onto you.

And with that, you and your boyfriend finally walked back to the train station.

Once you were at home though, you watched as he flopped onto the couch, hence you asked, “Okay, what is going on? Ever since meeting Aki you’ve been quiet.”

“What? No! He’s…”, he paused, then tried to fake a smile, “really… lovely. A nice guy.”

“Babe… I love you but holy fuck you can’t lie.”, then you sat down beside him.

“Hey, talk to me. Did he do something? I know the slipping into panties thing was weird, but-“

“That’s not it, [Your.name].”, Katsuki sighed and crossed his arms.

“Then what is it?”

A long pause followed where you just looked at him and Bakugou stared at the desk in front of him with your and his bags on. Only for him to finally open his mouth after a few moments of silence.

“I look nothing like him.”

“… And that is a problem… why?”, you were visibly confused.

“I mean, fuck he is… he’s a fucking femboy. I just- I am NOTHING like him. Your type is a skinny little dainty femboy and I am literally the complete opposite, so like- Why the fuck do you even like me?”, Katsuki finally blurted out, gesturing with his arms wildly before he flopped back onto the couch.

You, on the other hand, just stared at him for a moment in disbelief.

“That… That is what it’s about? Really?”

“Yeah… You probably could swing him around like a toothpick while I am… well I am heavy.”

“Babe, please. I love you, just the way you are. Just because Aki was one type of guy, doesn’t mean I can’t find another type of guy attractive as well, you know?”, reaching out, you took his hand in yours.

Drawing circles on the back of it, you then slowly progressed to touching his face and softly turning his head so he would look at you eventually.

“Hey…. I love you. I love that you could snap me in half at any possible second.”, thankfully, Katsuki snorted and mumbled an “Idiot.” yet he didn’t break eye contact as his hand slowly wandered down to play with your t-shirt.

“I love you too, [Your.name]… Thank you. I don’t know what happened to me, I guess seeing your ex just fucked with my brain for a second there.”, he then said before leaning in for a kiss that you happily returned.

“Hmh, it’s okay… I know you’re very different from everyone else I’ve dated before, physique and personality vise, but… I am also the most happiest when I’m with you.”, you gently played with his hand while smooching him over and over again.

“So I am better than anyone else, hm?”, Bakugou grinned instantly while being pushed back into the couch willingly, his big, heavy body pressed against your own.

“Hmm absolutely.”, you purred back.

Your hands were already busy slipping underneath his t-shirt as your lips pressed hot kisses onto his sensitive neck, earning his little groan that made your heart jump. Even though Bakugou probably wouldn’t believe you if you said it out loud, but… he certainly was very cute, even if he wasn’t dainty or small.

A very delicious smell softly shook him awake, ruby eyes fluttering open as he looked around for a moment. Sitting back up, Katsuki inevitably had to smile a little when he saw the blanket you put over his naked body, realizing once more how stupid it was to get jealous.

“Babe?”, naked as he was, he walked into the kitchen where the scent was coming from.

“Hey, Kat.”, you turned around a bit, though was it already too late when arms snuck around your hips and you felt a weight on your shoulder.

“Hey… The chicken?”

“The chicken.”, you chuckled and softly nudged his head with your own.

“If you hurry, you can still take a shower before we can eat.”

“Hm… sounds good.”, Katsuki whispered.

However, before he could walk away completely, he turned around once more, catching you off guard a little when he was back to hugging you from behind.

“Also… thanks.”, he only mumbled with red cheeks, before he nudged your head to the side to connect your lips.

“Hmmm…”, you purred while returning his kisses happily.

“Always. Now go.”, with a giggle, you playfully smacked his naked butt when he finally turned around and walked away.

And as Bakugou stood in front of the big bathroom mirror, he couldn’t help but blush even more intensely. His muscular body was visibly covered in hickeys, making him facepalm and sigh. Though… he also couldn’t suppress hat little grin that formed on his lips.

Really… getting jealous was so stupid.

A random one and three manga by Yukue Moegi, from the ones I most enjoyed to the one I enjoyed quite less

1. Boring Ninomiya-san

Senba is a college student who just started to work at a convenience store. Takama is already working there, but he is slightly younger (it is the summer before he starts college), so he feels quite uncomfortable at Senba being extra respectful to him. One day, Senba has to sell some condoms to two guys who are clearly gay, and a couple, and he is curious to know Takama’s opinion on them. 

Senba is openly gay (even if Takama doesn’t know), and Takama is secretly gay, so he tries to avoid the question or be quite vague about his answer. The misunderstanding creates some nice drama for the story, but thankfully, Takama and Senba end up in a relationship and they are SO SWEET. I loved this first story, and I enjoyed the sequel (about Senba’s ex boyfriend following Takama around for mysterious reason), it was realistic and it had communication and dialogue.

Sadly, I did not enjoy the rest of the stories, they were nothing particularly special.

2. Meguro to Akino wa Kizukanai

You already know how much I love Yukue Moegi’s “I glare at you because I love you”, and this was a close one. Minor spoilers will be added under cut, underneath, to explain why this is not my absolute favorite of Yukue Moegi.

This manga has pining, guys not realizing they are both in love and domesticity, which I often adore in BL. Meguro is a gay man who is friends with Akino, a guy who seems to not be able to have a constant or stable girlfriend. Every time Akino gets dumped, he visits Meguro. Of course, they both don’t realize that they are in love with each others and Akino is not as straight as he wants to believe.

This manga was adorable and quite funny, both Meguro and Akino were so dumb, and angry and bickering all the time. The art, as always, was A+. Akino is a fan of Meguro’s abs and muscles, that Yukue Moegi happily drew page after page. There is also no demonization of female characters and Akino’s girlfriends, which I appreciated.

In general, this was a super fun, adorable and sexy complete 1 volume. More under spoilers for something that I didn’t enjoyed (a feeling of incompleteness). 

3. Hakujin to Kurobotan

Kuroi and Shirakaba have been friends since children, and Shirakaba has been in love with Kuroi for quite some time, and trying to confess his love (always rejected) for years. Now, they are both 30 years old men, Shirakaba is a lawyer and Kuroi is the second hand of his yakuza/criminal family.

The story revolves around Kuroi knowing Shirakaba is his only friend and being completely devoted to him, but scared of both changing things and of Shirakaba ending up in the mix of danger of his criminal family.

I really enjoyed their friendship, and the strange give and pull of their relationship (and the tattoo?? yes please!). As always, Yukue Moegi’s art is amazing, and I would have loved this story to pieces if.... it hadn’t been about... the mob. I hate stories were yakuza and mafia are seen as positively, or, as something that one of the characters just does. I know Yukue Moegi tried to put a mix of “ohh, look, a dark character”, but the fact that Kuroi is a criminal at 30 years old, and is doing nothing to stop his criminal activities, made me feel quite uncomfortable at the idea of liking him (and I did like his character).

The same for Shirakaba, a lawyer that is helping criminals, and closing an eye to what they do? I hate this. Maybe if this had been a longer story, and if we had seen the pull of loyalties (lawful neutral vs chaotic neutral?) I would have appreciated it more, but there is no drama in Shirakaba choosing where his loyalties lied, and I hated it.

4. Mie Hariatte Surechigai

Minoru and Shinji have recently started working together, but Minoru dislike Shinji’s forceful personality and the fact that Shinji seems to be completely in love with him. The story deals with Minoru being convinced Shinji is joking all the time, and Shinji managing to convince him that he is truthful.

I love the art, as I said before, Yukue Moegi is one of my favorite artists, I love that her characters’ height, personality and looks have nothing to do with the classic roles of uke and seme. Still... I hated this one, because of the constant humorous look at Shinji’s behavior, from literally stalking Minoru to molesting him, and taking pictures of him when he sleeps?? I hated it so much.

A bit of spoilers here, for number 2: Meguro to Akino wa Kizukanai

While for the majority of the manga, the idea that Akino and Meguro did not realize their feelings for each others is fun and endearing, but this.... finds a resolution just through comedy, by the end. While they are basically together, they still don’t seem to realize that they are together. It made the story more comedic than sentimental, but it was a bit frustrating, as it only moved the status quo of a little bit. (They do have feelings, but still pretend they don’t).

Personality

Teagan is very opinionated when it comes to things he’s interested in or knowledgeable about, but is generally a quiet and withdrawn troll. He can come off as confident or even cocky when met one-on-one, and does fine when he’s traveling around the city nearest his hive, when most trolls around him don’t really pay him attention. But in social situations with more than about 5 other trolls, he gets more and more nervous. This is true whether or not he knows the other trolls or if they accept him being hemoanon. Most of his hobbies either keep him in his hive, or keep him out in the wilds where he’s less likely to meet other trolls. He does have a lowblood ability, but prefers not to use it.

Body type

Technically ectomorph. Thin but athletic from training in martial arts, dancing and a cheap but relatively healthy/balanced diet, even if he didn’t always have enough to eat when he was younger.

Random trivia

The start of the new year is the time to celebrate with those who are important to you. There are always smiles overflowing with every “congratulations”. What are some things happening around Yamada lately that he wants to send his congratulations----?

2019 is the 3rd year in a row we have been invited to attend “NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen”. On the day the participating artists were announced, we were at the JE office when we heard the news. “Kohaku Uta Gassen” is a special stage that anyone active in the music industry will want to stand upon. Moreover, we heard [the announcement] on November 14th, which was also the day of Hey!Say!JUMP’s 12th anniversary, so we were very happy. However, at that time, we didn’t realize it was the day of our 12th anniversary since debut… Afterwards, since our job finished early, Chinen (Yuri) said, “Once in a while, I want to do something other than gaming at home, you know right?”, so we drove to Odaiba in my car. We went for dinner first and halfway through, Chinen suddenly remembered and said, “Eh? Isn’t today the anniversary? (Laughs) As winter began, Chinen wanted to feel the cold air, and since I also understood the feeling, so after dinner, we went outside to walk around aimlessly. I took a picture of Chinen in front of a large heart shaped illumination we found on the way. When I got home, I sent the picture to Chinen and wrote, “Hmm… That was basically a date huh…” in the mail; he replied and said “Yeah, that was basically a date…” (Laughs)

In October, I took a belated summer vacation and went to Hawaii, which I wanted to visit for a long time. It was a super happy thing [that happened] in my private life! When we got there, us 4 guys rented a car to visit the filming locations for the movie “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”, we also drove to the north shore; in any case, we were very active. Our one goal was to go to many, many [beaches] and every time we got to one, we took videos of us fooling around, yelling “I hate the sea!”, then taking off our sunglasses, hats, and t-shirts, and jumping into the water (laughs). Other than that, we also went surfing, rented a boat to go fishing, snorkeling, and swam with dolphins… Ah, I proved that I can swim on this trip! Although I always thought I cannot swim*, I just jumped into the sea without thinking and it went swimmingly** (laughs). The photo from last month’s column was of me having fun in Hawaii. I thought, “Isn’t that like heaven?”; I had the best time there.

Recently, I said “congratulations” to (Nakajima) Yuto. When he made it into the Best Jeanist Hall of Fame, everyone celebrated in the Hey!Say!JUMP group mail. The next “congratulations” will be said… to my little sister who is celebrating her birthday in a few days.  Since I have rehearsals for the live tour on that date, I said I will be very late and won’t be able to meet up, and my family decided they will come over and wait for me at my place and then we will begin the celebrations. It’s been almost 4 years since the award ceremony for the “39th Japan Academy Awards”. Since I received the Newcomers Award, when Okada Junichi-kun and Ninomiya Kazunari-kun were on stage, both of them said “congratulations” to me. Receiving these congratulatory words was perhaps the happiest I had been. As winners of the Best Actors Award, they are both a special presence to me. They are Johnny’s senpai and also my respected acting senpais. They are both formidable trailblazers and I want to chase after them and hopefully stand in the same place someday. I take these thoughts with me as I travel along the acting path.

Personality

Teagan is very opinionated when it comes to things he’s interested in or knowledgeable about, but is generally a quiet and withdrawn troll. He can come off as confident or even cocky when met one-on-one, and does fine when he’s traveling around the city nearest his hive, when most trolls around him don’t really pay him attention. But in social situations with more than about 5 other trolls, he gets more and more nervous. This is true whether or not he knows the other trolls or if they accept him being hemoanon. Most of his hobbies either keep him in his hive, or keep him out in the wilds where he’s less likely to meet other trolls. He does have a lowblood ability, but prefers not to use it.

Body type

Technically ectomorph. Thin but athletic from training in martial arts, dancing and a cheap but relatively healthy/balanced diet, even if he didn’t always have enough to eat when he was younger.

Random trivia

His long jacket was a gift from his moirail, Akhena Iurixs. It’s all black on the outside and the lining is in her blood color. It’s also probably the nicest piece of clothing he owns.

He still has makeup from his troll goth stage that helps cover if he blushes at least.

Selective mutism when tired or extremely emotional, good or bad. In the situation of slow build up, before getting to the point of being non-verbal, it gets harder for him to express himself verbally.

Wt thoughts: wiki drama updates and a rant

Okay, so a couple of days ago, I found myself scrolling through the World Trigger Discord. A mutual (who will remain anonymous because I don't want them to get harassed on the server) found out that the wiki admins (Part of an ongoing saga btw) talk about me there. I like to be in the know with people's shit-talking about me, so I thought I'd join and check it out.

Anyway, it was mostly just their opinions on my edits, but then I saw that they found my Tumblr and went through it to, like, critique my posts. Gross. Talk about obsessed, am I right, ladies? I thought Naruto fans were bad.

They also misgendered me, which is embarrassing considering that my pronouns are readily available in both my bio and my pinned post. When they finally figured it out, they were like, "I bet she'd freak out if she knew. lol." And sure, it's rude to assume someone's gender identity or pronouns, even on the internet, and they should be more mindful of that going forward, but I'm not about to freak out about it. Not everyone can read that well.

So, that's the update part. Now, it's time for my rant. 

There was one thing that was said that bothered me.

For context, I wrote a post (Which one of these people referred to as a 'fic,' but that's beside the point) about how Ninomiya is totally in love with Hatohara, an opinion I had no idea was controversial. I literally just thought we all knew that. I mean, if you interpret Ninomiya's actions as platonic, then you are beyond my help. 

So, based on that post, they assumed I ship NinoHara. I don't, since Hatohara's too good for Mr. Suit Man, but that's not why I'm annoyed.

I'm annoyed because this discussion led to someone saying that shippers "muddy the waters of the fandom."

[Deep breath in]

Do you realize what shippers have done for fandoms? Girls obsessing about the hot boys and ships saved Tokyo Revengers' anime from cancellation. You should be fucking grateful. It doesn't make a fandom 'unpure' to have a lot of shippers. 

Considering that WT's western following is basically nonexistent, you should be on your knees begging people to ship more couples. It's a good way to bring more women into the fandom. You lure them in with the ships, then they get hooked on the plot and fights. 

I've talked about this with my mutuals before, but getting women in your fanbase is essential if you want it to get bigger. Women produce more fan content than men (i.e. fanfiction, fanart, amvs, etc.). The more content that exists for a fandom, the more likely it is that new people will engage with it and become interested in watching your show. 

A few weeks ago, I answered an anon's message about Gojo and Geto. The person had never seen or read Jujutsu Kaisen before, but because SatoSugu is such an iconic ship, they knew about it and wanted to know more. Can you even fathom that power?

People who hate shipping as a concept are among the most annoying I've encountered. It's gatekeeping, and it's stupid. Fandoms are for everyone, not just the people you like. No one's going to want to join us if you have an attitude like that. Like guys, the TWITTER part of the fandom has been the nicest to me. Twitter. Twitter users are so mean!

If you don't like me or my wiki edits that's fine, it's why I stopped editing, but I swear to God. I've been fighting for my life in the trenches of the internet, trying to bring people into this fandom. If your negative attitude gets in the way, I'm going to be pissed.

Super Live: Team HEART Initial Thoughts

I just realised I never made a post giving my thoughts on Team HEART from that short clip posted before the Paris performance, so here they are! Warning, they’re not glowing reviews.

Kanae Yumemiya (Moon) - She didn’t do much, but she seemed too serious to me. Maybe I need to see her perform more than she did to make a proper judgement on her.

Cocona (Mercury) - Cute. Nice singer and an overall nice performer, but I don’t know if I feel her WHOLE performance is very Ami-like, it’s a little too cute for me atm.

Kotomi Hirai (Mars) - Gosh overact much? She goes for it WAY too much, it’s quite painful to watch. It’s certainly Mars-like, but she really needs to tone her performance down.

Kie Obana (Jupiter) - Probably my favourite of this team, she seems quite Mako-like and her voice is nice.

Sena (Venus) - Hhh don’t hate me I know she’s popular already but she SUCKED. In the nicest way possible, I mean. Her performance was too OTT (like Kotomi), and she ended up being more like a... well, a bitch XD. I don’t like her, she doesn’t seem to have the grace of Venus and her Minako qualities are way too annoying.

Lol yeah so that’s all now I’m just waiting to see performances from Natsuki Koga, Umino Kawamura, Kyoko Ninomiya, Shio Yamazaki and Saaya Goto so I know who my Super Live favourites are. Right now I’d say... Kanae, Momoko, Yui, Kie and Yu are my Super Live dream team. But I can’t make a proper judgement till I’ve seen the remaining 5. Also I wanna know who everyone’s favourites are for the Super Live so far!

Old Love;New Love (WT fanfic)

. . . —– At first it was nothing. Even when his throat felt itching. Inukai only shrugged it off. ‘It’s just a cold’ He thought. Not long, he started coughing, just a bit. Like before he took it lightly. 'This will heal soon ’ He told himself. He hasn’t realised his sickness yet.

In HQ he always wore his trion body, so no one would notice his sickness. He himself didn’t pay much attention to it. He only took it as normal disease that everyone could have, of course he also took a medicine for it.

 Until that day, when he prepared his things for school, he had terrible urge to cough, so he rushed to the bathroom. His cough got worse, it didn’t stop until he spat something that seem like a flower bud coated with his blood. He look at it closely, was that really a flower bud? Seriously? He then picked up the bud, brought it close to his eyes, and examined it. Yes, that was flower bud with size just about a peanut. By that he realised what he got into, a disease that he believed not real and pretty dramatic yet tragic — a Hanahaki disease, a disease that occurred when a person got a severe unrequited love. He stood there silently facing a mirror in front of him and then looked down at the sink stained with his blood, he gritted his teeth and then sighed. “Why….?” Looking up at the ceiling, he started to laugh bitterly. Laughing at his-now-terrible-fate.

Despite of his sickness, he still went to school as always. His cough was not that frequent so he could at least pretended that everything was fine. Even when someone asked why he has coughing fit, he could replied 'It’s just a cold and bit sore throat’ with smile plastered on his face, a fake smile like he always do when needed.

The real problem was why he got this disease when he practically didn’t love anyone. Yes, he didn’t love anyone.

He shook the thought of love. There was no way he loved someone without noticing or so he thought.

He still shut his disease out of anyone. No one would know. He never let anyone found out about it because he wouldn’t want to cause a fuss and made others worried. Well other stupid reason was… It was embarrassing for him, things like unrequited love sound pitiful and ridiculous.

If he were really honest with himself, actually he did knew who was  the cause, he just didn’t want to admit it. The one who gave him this beautiful now-growing-flower inside him none other than the person who despise him deeply.

As time flies, it was miracle that he could passed through the day  without made anyone suspicious about his disease, except one, his junior and teammate— Tsuji(he only knew if Inukai has severe throat disease like TBC, not Hanahaki disease)

“Are you really okay, Inukai-senpai?” He asked, worried.

“I’m perfectly fine, Tsuji-chan~ just a bit cough won’t hurt me” He replied as they walked to the HQ after school.

“Liar” Inukai only smiled at his junior.

Chatter and humming filled their stride (mostly Inukai though). As they walked, Inukai felt more sick than usual, it’s weird he thought because he was okay not long ago.

It getting worse and unbearable as he unconsciously squeezed his chest out of pain. He lost his balance and fell on his knees. Beside him Tsuji panicked “Inukai-senpai !”

Before he turned his head to Tsuji, he saw a flash of image, inside the shop on their left . His eyes didn’t lie, inside the shop, there was Kage and…

Nire.  . .

Kageura unit’s Operator. Oh, it’s like that, his sources of pain was them. The distance was close, so the pain becoming more and more worse as the sources getting closer.

“Don’t. … worry–” He turned to Tsuji who stretched out his hand to help Inukai stand again. He reached it “Thanks~”

(they caused a little scene but soon the people around them return to their own matter)

“You must go to the hospital” Tsuji was serious. His saddened gaze made Inukai uncomfortable, it’s bit annoying. He hate being pitied. 

Inukai once again glanced at those two, the pain still worse than before but it less painful as they walked away farther “Let’s go, Tsuji-chan”

“Senpai….” Tsuji followed his senior’s gaze, on the distance he could see …..

Captain of B-002, Kageura and their operator—Nire Hikari What are they doing there? He thought. No, he wasn’t suspecting anything. It’s not his problem anyway.

 Then he followed his senior who walked slightly in front of him, to be honest he did really worry about his senior, Inukai seemed rather gloomy recently. Even though he still as cheerful as always, Tsuji knew that cheerful attitude was just a facade, yes, he always like that, that was unfair. Inukai could easily hid his real self and carried his own burden. Ah, he couldn’t hold back anymore.

“Please stop that, Inukai-senpai…” He said calmly yet sad.

“Hm? Stop what?” Inukai replied, it’s not clear whether he really innocent or pretended to be one.

He gritted his teeth “If you’re hurt then say so, if you’re tired just say you’re tired, stop pushing yourself too hard. I know you’re sick, so stop pretending that you’re fine” He said it all, no holding back.

“It’s unusual for you to talk this much, Tsuji-chan~” He smiled. “But I don’t understand what you mean”

Tsuji grabbed Inukai’s collar “you…. I want you to stop acting like everything is fine, you liar !”

“Get off” Inukai said coldly. His expression changed, it turned grim and cold. “So what if I told them 'oh I sick, I’m hurt please help me’ what would I get? It’s troublesome you know, I bet they’re not genuinely care about me, it’s just formality”

“Of course they’ll help you”

“I don’t need anyone’s help, I’m not that weak”

“Don’t be so stubborn, Senpai”

“Shut up, please  end this ridiculous chattering and stop pestering me that’s annoying” He said harshly and walked faster leaving Tsuji behind. He hated it, was he became that weak to the point his junior worried sick about him? He felt so worthless already.

Days passed, his disease got worse. He started skipping classes once in a while. He even didn’t come to school sometimes with various excuses. However, he still went to Border’s HQ, doing patrol and such, but his trion depleted faster, he couldn’t maintain his trion body much longer, in battle especially. He really grateful to have unit as great as Ninomiya’s because they always finished the battle quickly. Still, his 'real’ disease hasn’t found out by anyone, not by his teammates nor his parents as his parents often work overseas.

And now he was, standing in front of the mirror with his pathetic reflection on it. Face that losing its colour, teary eyes, quivering lips and streak of blood stained the corner of his mouth. He never expected to become like this. He wanted to curse his fate, why god could be this cruel to him. Made him loving someone that could never loved him back. Even giving him this ridiculously tragic disease.

The sound of countdown for his life could be heard. The painful harmony echoed in his bathroom piercing through his ears. A petal, two, then three and now many petals fell to the sink. But the cough didn’t stop, again he spat petals at first, as the worst cough came he didn’t throwing up petals, but a whole flowers, with ironically beautiful purple colour which now tainted by his crimson blood. It was ….

Petunia.

It’s Kage favourite flower and  the flower he hates the most. “Fuck” He hissed.

Tears began to pour down silently from his eyes, made its way to his cheeks. “Why did this happen to me?” Inukai rarely cry even when he was in his deepest depression, but in this situation he deserved to cry.

 If he never saw Kage in his depression state, if he never saw his vulnerable form and if he never saw his tears he wouldn’t have through this torture, he would never fell for him. He would live his life peacefully these past weeks. and absolutely he would never suffering with this cursed disease.

Enough with his regret, his mind barely clear and his whole body screaming in pain as energy slowly leaving him. The flower might already invaded his lungs and clogged his pipeline. "It’s goddamn…. h-hard to… breath" He panted heavily. Later, his legs has given up, he couldn’t stand anymore. He could only sat there, leaned over the nearest wall smiling bitterly as he waited for his end along with the pain that didn’t leave him dead peacefully.

Was he going to die?

Died like this?

Alone, without saying goodbye and sorry to his dearest people ?

As his eyes began to feel heavy and he felt tired he could hear a faint sounds of footstep that became louder and louder. Surprisingly the door slammed hard, snapped him back to his sense 'who is that?’ He thought. His vision already blurred enough, he couldn’t see a thing.

“Inukai-senpai! ” He knew this voice—Tsuji.

Tsuji rushed to Inukai side, held his body gently and then rested his head on his lap. “How can … this happen to you….” He cried.

“Oh… Tsuji-chan?” Inukai called his name weakly. His lap surprisingly warm and comfortable, it’s nice.

“I’m gonna call Ninomiya-san” Tsuji quickly took out his phone and immediately called Ninomiya until his hand stopped by Inukai “No…” He said.

“We must hurry, Inukai-senpai ! It’s for your sake!” He cried, tears fell onto Inukai’s forehead.

Inukai didn’t give up. “Don’t call him”

But Tsuji called Ninomiya regardless Inukai concerns, just a little wait until it connected to their Captain. “Hello, Ninomiya-san please–”

“Tsuji!  I’m gonna hate you stop now…” Inukai dead serious although his voice was hoarse and barely audible.

“Hate me for eternity, I don’t mind as long as you’re alive !” After saying that Tsuji continued calling Ninomiya, explaining everything that recorded in his eyes right now.

 Inukai couldn’t do anything, he was way too weak to distract Tsuji. “Bastard…” He muttered while crying. “I’m not going to stop you anymore, but please don’t tell anyone beside our unit, I beg you” Tsuji nodded. —–

Like Tsuji has requested, Ninomiya didn’t tell anyone and manage to do surgery to save Inukai, lifting his curse out of his body. At first Inukai refused he didn’t want to forget his feelings. But Tsuji and even Ninomiya begged him to do the surgery, Hiyami might not saying anything but her tears proven enough. Inukai couldn’t refuse anymore and took the surgery.

—- Ninomiya covered up Inukai’s absence perfectly, so no one in Border felt suspicious about it. As for Inukai’s parents, they haven’t come home so it was okay.

After that, Inukai’s feelings that never reached the other now gone along with the flowers. He regretted it but overall he was grateful he could live another day without suffering anymore.

Thanks to his junior that always there for him and prevent the god of death took his soul that time. —–

“I can’t thank you enough, Tsuji-chan, but thank you very much for saving me” He suddenly hugged Tsuji.

As for Tsuji, he surprised by the sudden hug. “I-it’s n - nothing, se-senpai” He hugged Inukai back. “It’s natural, I love you after all” He accidentally said something he shouldn’t have said. He mentally slapped himself.

“Wait what…?” Inukai blinked few times, he must heard a thing.

“Geez… Inukai-senpai….” Tsuji rolled his eyes. Even though he said it loud enough for him to hear.

“Don’t make a face like that~” Inukai brought his face closer to him, this made Tsuji felt heat crept to his face. Hello there! Thank you so much for joining this exchange. I’m so excited to see whatever you make!

Here is a list of some things I’m looking for in the stuff I requested! If you have stronger ideas and a story you’re just dying to tell about one of these ships, please go full steam ahead. First off though, I’d like to clarify somethings I really, really would not like to receive:

NSFW of minors (I consider this as characters aged up to 20). Please don’t include this at all. 

NSFW for characters who are of age is fine - but I’d prefer it to be subtle rather than the point. 

PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE FINGER PAINTING, FINGERNAIL/TOENAIL TRAUMA OR OTHER FOCUS ON NAILS - it’s a big squick!!

1. BANG DREAM! GIRLS BAND PARTY

Tsugumi Hazawa/Sayo Hikawa 

I love this ship - I really suggest reading their first interactions in this event to get a feel for how they interact, if you have only had access to the English version. I’d especially love an internal look at Tsugumi’s feelings if it’s fic, and a cute shared moment with sweets for art. 

Kaoru Seta/Kokoro Tsurumaki and Kaoru Seta/Hagumi Kitazawa/Kokoro Tsurumaki

So here's the thing - Kaoru and Kokoro talk past each other constantly and I actually LOVE that. I think it's made even better by having Hagumi as a mediator (Hagumi is stupid but she's not as stupid as Kaoru, and benefits from Kokoro's weird brand of emotional intelligence.)

I want to see them having madcap adventures, buffeted to ever greater heights of idiocy, but also tenderness too. Let them get a little closer than they do as co-buffoons!

Kaoru Seta/Himari Uehara/Rimi Ushigome

While it's super cute that both Rimi and Himari are head over heels for Kaoru I would love it if she got flustered by both of their attention too!

Kaoru Seta/Maya Yamato

It might be a little unorthodox to request a non-romantic cameo but I would LOVE to see Chisato's reaction to this. I like that Maya doesn't fall victim to Kaoru's ridiculousness (maybe due to overexposure?) and it puts her in a perfect position to make the first move for once.

Kanon Matsubara/Chisato Shirasagi

I like this at its best when it's bittersweet, something that Chisato is clinging to a little too desperately while trying to look like she isn't. A touch or two of sadness goes a long way here with this ship, though of course I love cute fluffiness too.

Misaki Okusawa/Rimi Ushigome

My poor forgotten friendship! How I wish the game would remember that they interact! They're both fans of horror fiction which is ADORABLE. Make use of it!

Aya Maruyama/Maya Yamato

Their names are practically the same it's like fated (no but seriously. I love how Maya is so openly supportive of Maya when others are bringing her down, and how Aya sticks up for Maya and celebrates all her weird little foibles. Cute as heck.)

2. Love Live! Sunshine!! 

Kanan Matsuura/You Watanabe

I like this best post-highschool after both of them have grown up some, but you can feel free to set it when the series happens if you like. I like that they're both silly jocks who love the ocean, so any work focusing on a maritime theme is A+!

Kanan Matsuura/Dia Kurosawa AND Dia Kurosawa/Kanan Matsuura/Mari Ohara

My OT3... My favourite dynamic between them is Kanan and Dia but I do also love when Mari is there to be the shiny, sparkly bond that glues the group together. Super happy to read about fights and disagreements with these three so long as they all make up by the end

3. Steven Universe

Garnet/Peridot

I'm really interested in this as a character building piece for both of them; Garnet has to learn to not be such of a pedestal and set boundaries, Peridot has to apologise and keep apologising and also learn to give herself over to the moment more. It's okay if it's just a moment of tenderness between the two of them without anything concrete, but building to a relationship is fine too.

Bismuth/Garnet 

Again, I really want to see them get back up to speed with each other. Something harking back to their past together would be super lovely too!

Bismuth/Pearl

This is a bit more self-indulgent but it would be so nice to see Bismuth help Pearl dress a little more butch, get a little more in touch with that side of herself. I'd love for Pearl to open up more fully to Bismuth and make her feel secure... 

4. Gatchaman Crowds

Hajime Ichinose/Utsutsu Miya

My OTP of all OTPs. Anything you could possibly provide to me I will treasure, provided it's SFW (unless it's post canon and they're adults). I want to see them in love but also I love seeing the imbalance in their power explored, Utsutsu's sadness and Hajime's manic happiness, I love everything about them. 

5. Sora yori mo Tooi Basho

Takako Kobuchizawa/Gin Toudou

While a retrospective on their relationship is exciting, I'd also appreciate just plain old flashback fic exploring how much they meant to each other when they were raising Shirase.

Shirase Kobuchizawa/Hinata Miyake AND Yuzuki Shiraishi/Mari Tamaki AND Shirase Kobuchizawa/Hinata Miyake/Yuzuki Shiraishi/Mari Tamaki

I love all of these dynamics equally and would be super delighted to receive any of them! With Shirase/Hinata I'm all about the difficulty in communication between them, and navigating the gaps. When they can connect it feels like a relief, almost, and I love that. 

Yuzuki and Kimari are much softer and sillier by contrast and lend themselves well to goofy shenanigans, especially because of Yuzuki's sharp tongue. When all four of them are together I like it best as it is in the show, but with more kissing. 

Megumi Takahashi/Mari Tamaki

Oh please kill me with angst for these two I invite it openly (Megu's jealousy is a great resource, but also Kimari's stubbornness to keep loving her - they can make it work if they work hard! I believe in them!)

Yume Sasaki/Honami Yasumoto

I feel like its a given to ask for fanfic where the two of them get absolutely sauced and spill everything about their feelings about each other but can you blame me for wanting that

Gin Toudou/Kanae Maekawa

Would love to see this potentially contrasted with their prior relationship with Takako and how they're picking up the pieces from it.

6. Teppuu

Natsuo Ishido/Sanae Sawamura

I really love how integral their relationship is to the work without it ever overshadowing everything else; it's very subtle. Well, now I'd like it to take center stage for once. They can kiss while fighting right???

Mai Ganeko/Sanae Sawamura

Mai is such a sycophant, bless her. It would be nice to see Sanae finally validate her a little.

Karin Kotani/Mitsuko Honma

Good old fashioned rivalry with a spark of mutual respect. Imagine if Karin got to win for once? How would they both react?

Mitsuko Honma/Shinobu Kannagi

Really love how thorougly Shinobu knocks Mitsuko off kilter, so making use of that would be super fun (I also love the contrast in their personalities, with Shinobu being a big teddy bear and Mitsuko being a terrifying ice queen)

Karin Kotani/Manami Hiki

Manami is still such a n00b in so many ways and it would be great if she got some special focus from Karin for a change. The dash of hopeless pity just makes it cuter imo.

Kei Ninomiya/Mai Ganeko

I didn't figure anyone else shipped this! I like Kei getting to break away from Natsuo to talk and grow close with other characters (though I'd of course welcome Natsuo's presence in a fic like this). They can bond over being the sidekicks to extremely intense women who hate each other, haha!

7. Professor Layton

Katrielle Layton/Emiliana Perfetti

Just please... I want to see them solving a mystery together... and Katrielle giving Emiliana a jubilant kiss when they figure it out, and consequently ruining her life

8. Marvel Cinematic Universe

Nakia/Okoye 

PLEASE THE WHOLE MOVIE I WAS BEGGING THEM TO INTERACT give me anything. I will take literally anything. Space AU. Mafia AU. Bodyguard AU seems too obvious, right? In canon, I'd really appreciate an exploration of what they mean to each other and a way to make it work while keeping both their principles intact.

9. Final Fantasy VIII

Selphie Tilmitt/Selphie's Friend (FF8)

Even as a little kid I felt like this was ripe for potential, especially considering how Zell and other party members conduct their romantic business outside of the main party. I'd love to see her coming back to Trabia after the end of the story and getting to relax with her girlfriend for once. (Name the girlfriend whatever you want, but if it's hard to name her how about Tabitha?)

10. Little Witch Academia

Ursula Callistis | Chariot du Nord/Croix Meridies

I'm obsessed with the idea of Ursula determined to redeem Croix by her own hands even when the rest of the world spurns her (and rightfully so!), so something with comedic potential or a more meaty emotional exploration are both things I'd love to see or read.

Atsuko Kagiri/Sucy Manvaran/Lotte Yanson

I love my silly weird protag trio. I think what I'd most like to see here is how they became a couple and then more than a couple; bonus points for keeping Sucy her malevolent, extremely dangerous self while retaining all that exhausted fondness both she and Lotte have for Akko.

I already posted these on twitter, but posting them here so they are all in one place.  Still haven’t proofread the document. Hopefully there aren’t too many errors.

Recent hobby? - To steep myself in games. I've been playing RPG games.

Top 3 favorite foods? - 1: eggplant, 2: yakiniku (grilled meat), 3: yakitori (grilled chicken). For eggplants, my no. 1 favorite is fried eggplant. I make it myself sometimes.

Top 3 favorite animals? - 1: dog, 2: sloth, 3: monkey. There are 2 dogs at my parents’ place. Sloths I've liked for a while. Although I'd like to keep one, it's impossible to have a tropical animal (lol). Maybe I like these types of “relaxed” animals.

Shower guy? Bath guy? - Shower.

Source of energy? - Food!

Describe a moment when your excitement level is high? - During live concerts, the moment when I see the audience from the stage. “It's so great that I'm working in this job” will pop into my head, it's the happiest moment in my life.

If we are talking about [my girlfriend] wanting me to spoil her, I don’t like acting all lovey-dovey in front of everybody.  [So I guess the implication is that he’ll spoil his girlfriend, but only in private.]

Which piece of furniture in your room are you fond of? - Sofa. It’s custom made, so I fussed about the size, material, firmness, and width quite a bit.

What are you like in a relaxed state? - At home lying on the sofa.

Within Johnny’s, who are you friends with outside of the members? - Ninomiya-kun and Yamashita-kun. I always go bother Ninomiya-kun at his home.  As for Yamashita-kun, I have gone to Disneyland with him and another guy.

What is your dream / vision for the group’s future? - Thanks to everyone’s support up to now, Hey!Say!JUMP is able to continue on as a group. After this, I want to see each member holding their own solo concert.

What’s your personal dream / vision? - I want to always work steadily as an actor.

What motto do you live by? - “Even if there is just 1% chance, I will never give up.”

What is your schedule like for when you have a day off? - Basically I stay at home, then when night falls, I tend to go out to eat.  At home, I’ll play games then sleep (lol).

When you don’t feel like you’re in good spirits, what do you do to encourage yourself? - Take a stroll.

With which member will you go to the themed park together? - Actually, I hate themed parks. I am really bad with rollercoasters, so knowing that I can’t go on any rides, I don’t really want to go with anybody (lol).

With which member will you go to the public bath house together? - Yuya and Inoo-chan. I had gone with other members before, but I have never gone with those two. It should be pretty leisurely to spend time with them.

With which member will you go to karaoke? - Chinen. We go together all the time.

With which member will you go to hanami (flower viewing)? - I am allergic to pollen and there are lots of bugs, so I don’t go to hanami.

With which member will you go to the pool?  - I won’t go to the pool. I cannot swim.

With which member do you want to spend Halloween? - Dai-chan. He’ll entertain me.

With which member do you want to go to have nabe (hot pot cuisine)? - Since we’ll eat delicious rice, Inoo-chan. He’ll probably say “yummy, yummy” when he eat, you know.

What place do you feel most relieved / relaxed? - My parents’ place.

What do you do to keep yourself healthy? - I will drink supplements.

Are you someone who arrange your bills in one direction? Or not? - I will arrange the bills with the face at the bottom.

What’s the best trip you had so far? - I was able to go to Paris and Los Angeles for work. I thought that was such a treat (lol). I was able to take in the nature in Los Angeles, and in Paris, I saw the buildings on the streets and had fun eating and getting on stage.

Top 3 favourite movies? - 1: “The Great Gatsby”, 2: “About Time”, 3: “(Leon) The Professional”.

Do you have a favourite book? - Not really. While I read manga, I don’t read a lot of books.

How about [your favourite] home cooked dish (mom’s cooking)? - Meat and potato stew.

When you wake up, what’s the first thing you do? - First I turn on the vacuum, then I go brush my teeth. [Does he have a robot vacuum?]

At night, what do you do before going to bed? - Brush my teeth (lol). I brush my teeth then get in bed, I’ll fiddle with my phone for a bit before going to bed.

What do you wear when you go to sleep? - Basically, I wear a pair of underwear! I definitely don’t wear a t-shirt.  Even in winter, I do not wear pants. Instead, I wear a fluffy parka like thing. [So like a fleece sleep dress? :) ]

What do you treasure? - The trophies I get due to my acting jobs. They are displayed at my parents’ place.

How do you de-stress? - I go drinking with my friends.

Favourite scent? - Lemongrass.  When I see it on my travels, I’ll definitely buy some.

What is the thing you most want right now? - Items in the game that lets me teleport! I don’t really have any material needs.

What must you have in your bag? - Toothbrush and cologne.

If you can only eat 1 thing for an entire month, what will it be? - Chicken breast strip. Although it is mild tasting, it is not harmful to the body.

In terms of meat, what is your favourite? - Beef. But I like grilled meat more than steak.

When you enter into a relationship with your lover, what special favours will you do for her? - I’ll clean her room! For girls who are not good at housecleaning, this is a pretty good favour.

If you have a chance for a redo in life, what age will you go back to? - 10 years old. The year I joined Johnny’s & Associates. That said, I don’t want a redo.

If you have to give a title to [your life story], what will it be? - “There are peaks and valleys”.

What will you do if you have to spend 1 million yen in 1 day? - I will take all the staff who is working on my project out for dinner.

What you will say to your 100 year old self! - “You don’t have to try so hard already!” (lol).

What will you do if the world will end in 3 days? - Even though it’s impossible, I want to have 1 live concert.

What is a small problem that’s bugging you right now? - I can’t beat the boss in the game. I tried more than 15 times but I couldn’t do it at all.

If you can use magic? - I’ll go see the world heritage sites. I’ll immediately fly to the ones that people said will be destroyed imminently.

If 100 points is the perfect score, how many points are you? - Around 50 points. When I need to get to 100%, I will go at it with all my might, but when I’m unwinding, I will use close to 0% of energy to unwind.

What are you addicted to? - Cleaning. Although I love cleanliness, when people come over for dinner and spilled stuff, I also don’t care. That’s because I love to put away the mess. However, I hate having dirty stuff lying around, so when everyone’s relaxing, I’ll start vacuuming. Perhaps I’m an annoying host (lol).

Do you have a collection of things? - No.

In 2019, what wish do you want to come true? - I want to have a live tour. I think I definitely want to have 1 tour each year. Privately, I want to go overseas for vacation.

What do you think you'll be like in 10 years? - I think I'll have a beard. I’ll probably appear in the “mature male roles” in dramas, won’t I? I can’t keep going on as the present “Yamada Ryosuke” without changing, you know.

A memory of karaoke-ing with a member? - There was a time when I went to karaoke with Chinen or someone almost every day and we will compete for the most points. I was very happy when I got my highest point of 96.8.

What is your role in the group? - No matter when, I am usually the first one to speak.  Since the members also wait for me to speak, and the staff-san will ask me questions first, I ended up with this role.

What advice will you give to yourself at debut? - “Your face is going to change, you know! It’ll become a little thinner.”

What is the most memorable thing during the “Heisei” era? - Being part of a group called Hey!Say!JUMP.

What moment did you feel that you have become an adult? - When I stopped being angry [easily].

Tell me Nakajima’s weakness! - Dirty things. (Literal meaning.)

Tell me Arioka’s weakness! - Belly button. He hates it when people touch it.

Tell me Takaki’s weakness! - He can’t handle high calorie foods.

Tell me Inoo’s weakness! - Exercise.

Tell me Yaotome’s weakness! - He can’t remember anything.

Tell me Yabu’s weakness! - Tomato.

Tell me Chinen’s allure! - There are so many. He’s a genius. He face the world as a guy who can do do anything and has a very good understanding of himself, which is very good.

Tell me Nakajima’s allure! - He can do anything. He is high-spec (top notch), but he is also hardworking.

Tell me Arioka’s allure! - He’s a positive, bright person. You’ll feel happy just being together with him.

Tell me Takaki’s allure! - Very gentle. Comparing to before, he has a great love for JUMP, he kept talking about “JUMP, JUMP” wherever he goes.

Tell me Inoo’s allure! - Talk power. He honed those skills through “Mezamashi TV”. It feels very comforting to go on location shoots with him in the variety programs.   

Tell me Yaotome’s allure! - His “ojisan-like” personality. He can take a nap wherever he goes. There are moments when that side of him will shine spectacularly as an item (special feature?) of JUMP, so in that sense, he is very reliable.

Tell me Yabu’s allure! - Although he is the oldest, he doesn’t act like “I need to get a hold of myself” a lot. Because of that, the people who are younger than him can feel at ease.  Because we have Yabu-chan, we are able to things confidently, he is truly a reliable bigger brother.
