3. Have you ever adopted a character or gotten a character from someone else? Alanna from At First Sight is very much inspired by one of ziraseal's OCs, a holy knight that was enthralled by Serana after freeing her from Dimhollow. Our Seranas are very different between those stories but the idea was a lot of fun to play with.

12. Name an OC that isn’t yours but who you like a lot As much as I enjoy Quinoa, which is a lot, I do enjoy ziraseal's Saint. I don't think Saint exists in any of her fics but she's told me a lot about her. She's a brilliant tinkerer and Child of Atom with 10 Int, 10 Endurance, and 0 Luck because everything she builds explodes. Whether it works or not, it's going to go boom, and I love that for her.

18. Any OC crackships? I don't know what this means but I'm going to say pairing Better Lucky than Good's Nightshade with Piper from the same story would be very, very good

24. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why? I would want to meet Olivia. I love her so much, she's so normal, and if we got along, her luck would protect me.

Disclaimer for a majority of the films in this genre : the male gaze is very fucking obvious in these movies... they were made by men for men, and the message is often "lesbianism is a dangerous temptation for women". It's a glairing flaw nearly all of them share and that sucks (and frankly it's a flaw Serana's writting kinda has in my opinion, minus the lesbianism part, but let's not dwell on that)- so if you can't get past it, it's completly understandable, be on your way and have a nice day <3

- Daughters of Darkness ! A toxic man is returning to london with his newly wed wife, but they get stuck in Belgium and are forced to stay in a luxurious hotel. Don't worry about the 10/10 smokeshow countess seducing his wife :). Completely unrelated, this movie has, in my opinion, the most beautiful lesbian kiss I've ever seen- but I might not be very objective because Delphine Seyrig is there lglglflflllglm The best one in the list ! So if you want to whatch one, whatch this one <3

- The blood spattered bride ! This is more of... an aquired taste let's say- but I really like it ! A quite effective horror movie, with goofy ass scenes (shoutout to the vampire lady buried in the sand naked with only a diving mask that is not the screenshot because tits), and emasculation being a recuring theme <3 (but if you want to watch it, please check the content warnings beforehand, it has a lot of very shocking and frontal scenes, and it's the 70s so it's not done very tactfully. Also pretty intense flashing lights)

- The vampire lovers ! Ok so this one is a lot less fun compared to the other two because it's made by the Hammer BUT... 1) Ingrid Pitt hello and 2) it's such a intriging thing to see a very christian/conservative studio make a film like that. I know a lot of people don't like the Hammer movies from the 70s, because the studio had a lot less money, and were making wild decisions. But I love them, because they tend to be much more fun bloody and sexy ! I'm a simple woman mjllkklhkhlhlho case in point with the vampire lovers (although if you want a fun vampire hammer movie from the 70s, Dracula ad 1972 is way better). And Peter Cushing is there (i love this man so much-) !

And now I shall resume my quest to find Vampire Lesbos by Jésus Franco and have a probably mid experience watching it xoxo

So as you and Serana sneak around Castle Volkihar when you’re trying to find Valerica you can talk to her about it periodically to get more specific info on her life.

There’s this bit of dialogue I hadn’t heard before in prior playthroughs where she talks about exploring the undercroft area of the castle as a little kid and how the skeevers and stuff didn’t bother her bc they were probably spooked by a little vampire girl.

I didn’t realize she had to go through what she did with Molag Bal and the cult AS A FUCKING CHILD???? This adds a whole other layer of fucked up to her trauma and it honestly sickens me how much people just ignore this critical part of her in favor of making her their hot vampire gf who’s a huge slut and a total flirt.

Serana is a socially awkward outcast among her own peers who’s had the trauma of not only being violently violated as a child but is also a victim of her once loving family tearing themselves apart and using her as a pawn in their plans. She explicitly states to the player that she doesn’t want a relationship and is hard to befriend as a result of all this. And people just???? Ignore this????

Out of all the characters you can’t marry she’s one who literally lays out for you why and the fact that hardly anyone can respect that disturbs me.

Serana x Affectionate!Reader Headcannons

For starters, she's hates PDA. The most she'll endure is you holding her hand. When she's in public, she would like people to only see her up front serious persona.

When you two are in the privacy of you twos bedroom, she loves to cuddle. She usually is the big spoon but also enjoys being the little spoon. Being the little spoon brings her comfort sense she has never had much her whole life.

If you ever want a hug from her in public, she'll do one of those hugs that are real quick with one arm, and she'll hope no one saw.

Her love language is words of affirmation. She'll often compliment you or applaud for something you did. For example, if you two are in a cave or a bandit camp, she'll tell you are doing well going through all the people with ease.

If you get hurt really bad, she'll give you extra affection that day. Extra kisses, extra hugs, extra cuddles, extra everything, even in public.

Also, if you are hurt, she'll heal you up with a spell and tell you did well taking a hit like that.

Overall, she's not the most affectionate unless no one is watching.
