CHRIS’ BRAND IS IN CRISIS 

A steady and constant decline…

Since he came back to social media to sell dog food for the back Friday (a very tactless error in my opinion), Chris has been hemorrhaging followers on Instagram. At this point, he has lost more 500,000 followers. And it keeps going down. I have already written a post about my thoughts regarding those numbers. Here is a link if anyone is interested in checking it out.

We can still observe the same trends, his drop is constant and steady but more interestingly his loss of followers was even steeper on January 25th and today. And this is rather concerning for him and his team because the 25th was the day his next movie project was announced. And we know yesterday and today were all about the ASP stunts in DC. And he even got press coverage for it and a nice little article from one of his sponsors: People’s Magazine. 

I have speculated that his team probably didn't buy any bots or not as many as usual when the Coen movie was announced, because they likely wanted to monitor if that news would bring him any natural follows. I suspect the movie announcement didn't bring him any or very few. Or it might have even cost him some real follows. Who knows?

We see the exact same trend today after yesterday’s stunt in DC. It’s actually even a little worse. So we can deduce that his acting career is not helping him at the moment, his brand as a political activist isn’t helping him either. And let’s not even mention his shenanigans with his kinda “wife”. To sum things up, his brand is in crisis. 

His “political activism” is starting to become offensive…

Real or not, Chris has attached himself to a trolling fat-shaming, racist, antisemitic, Nazi sympathizing clout-chaser. And the optics are absolutely horrifying. Here are some of the receipts provided by Anni's Little Shop of Horrors

So his political activism looks not only hypocritical and performative now, it also appears as a rather infuriating provocation. This ASP stunt was very ill-conceived. I am not sure it was his decision to do so. Maybe the investors demanded he did more with the company. But the end result is disastrous all the same.

He and his team should have read the room after the horrible comments he got after that infamous ASP chat about racism and antisemitism. That was his clue to stay away from any kind of political involvement for the time being. But he and his team have doubled down. Like they have done so with the shitshow with Abba since the very beginning. They have managed to alienate so many fans and they continue to do so. It’s not stubbornness at this point, it’s the exact definition of insanity: doing the same things and expecting different results. 

Time for a new brand and a reinvention…

I wrote and I still think Chris is going to be just fine. But his past brand has been really damaged and his rebrand isn't working out so resorting to old tactics and tricks is unlikely to help him regain the fans he lost or to make him gain any new ones.

Interesting enough, he or his team have just cleaned his Instagram once more. And now apart from an ASP promo and one R1 still, it's all about Dodger. The focus on his Dog dad persona might not prove more efficient in regaining his fans though. They have used that poor dog way too much in those shenanigans with Abba, and they have let her use him as well.

I don’t think Christopher’s haven would provide much help at the moment because he already burnt that bridge. And Marvel being a sinking ship at the moment, I am not sure that even his alter ego Captain America could help him. So it’s probably time for a change. The real kind!

Ok so I’m gonna make some predictions about Dreamzzz season 2 based on materials we have so far and things that happened in season 1.

1. The Never Witch will be a prominent villain, if not the main antagonist in place of the Nightmare King. We know this based on the Sandman’s Tower set (where she appears as a minifigure), and some leaked book covers. Also Tommy Andreasen has mentioned that she’s getting some focus.

2. Logan and Cooper will get more focus, Logan especially. Again, this is based on the leaked book covers, one of which focuses on Cooper, while the other three very prominently feature Logan’s new form (which we also see in the Sandman’s Tower set).

3. I should’ve gotten this obvious one out of the way first: we’re going to have more focus on the Waking World, going off of the final moments of season 1.

4. Riding off the back of the last two predictions: we’re going to get expansion on everyone’s families with an emphasis on Logan and Cooper’s. Since we’re in the Waking World now, we have more reason to meet them.

5. Nova will either become a Dream Chaser herself or become the Guy In The Chair for the team, helping them track down Dream Creatures loose in the Waking World by searching for and learning about rumors and conspiracies throughout the city.

6. We learn exactly what Night Hunter’s true connection to Zoey is, possibly through the Never Witch because she and Night Hunter also seem to have some history.

7. We learn more about Mateo and Izzie’s mother (possibly that she was a Dream Chaser).

8. Albert in the Waking World. I know it’s kinda obvious but hey, one of his promo materials said he “hasn’t been spotted in the Waking World… yet.”.

Unimportant ramblings v

Time stamp: Jul 15? Heeeeey. Hello. So I did take a break from art till like last week, but uh, the health has been a roller coaster-

I kinda cleaned the whole house compulsively multiple times. I dunno what to say about that. Went from the compulsion to be Always Drawing to Always Doing Chores, so it wasn’t really a break? It felt amazing for a little while, but I am so stressed inside ahagfhkhdf. Anywayssssss.

I realized that promising to do the art requests Later is just me returning to old behavior, like just... keeping it on the line so I /nobody gets a direct answer *when* it will be done. That makes my brain think it’s in the clear while the other artists are worried and unsure what’d happen. Andddd even though I did have the motivation to do animated group projects for a little while, a small thing completely knocked me into dropping everything else.

I know I *could* try to join more projects or do more requests, I’m not in a safe headspace where I wouldn’t be set off, and nobody should risk their project’s deadline for that-

TLDR I’m going to Try and fix things up on my end and stop myself from joining anything (that depends on Every artists effort). Even if I feel alright *now* I know there’s a lot of risk for *later*- just don’t let me in anything big and important even if I ask, please- for at least a year-

OKAY so!! I made these as a sort of promo for my Pokemon Design Challenge! Basically just picked some of the prompts I made, and drew some designs for them. :>

Below the cut I’ll just copy-paste the info about these that I already talked about on dA. Please feel free to reblog this if you like these!

On Sparoxin: So here's the first design, based on the "Pika-clone" trope: Sparoxin, an Electric/Poison Pokemon known for having a venomous bite! Hence the species name of course. And the name itself is just a straightforward combo of spark and toxin. Mainly because I couldn't think of anything better, lol... This was inspired by solenodons, which are a type of small mammal that are related to hedgehogs and shrews, and they do indeed have venom in real life! Though it's not quite like a snake's venom, instead it's more that their saliva acts like a venom. Good enough!

On Crosadon: This is for the “classic monster” shape challenge, so basically designing a kaiju-esque/Godzilla-esque Pokemon. In this case, my inspiration for this was Biollante in particular, my favorite of the Godzilla monsters!!   The name is also a bit more clever than Sparoxin was imo, it's croc + rosa/rose + -don, a suffix used for dinosaurs (like iguanodon!) and some other kaiju-ish Pokemon too (Rhydon and Duraludon come to mind in particular).

On Noxie: This one! This one is probably one of my top favs of the batch of Fakemon I made. ;u;

The name itself is a combo of noxious + pixie, and I picked "virulent" as the species name because the word can describe a disease or poison that's really harmful, and it can also just mean something or someone that's hostile! That describes Noxie, basically a very dangerous Mew-esque/Mythical Fairy Pokemon that spreads disease and poison for its own amusement.

I even designed it to be a bit of a mirror of Mew! Big arms and tiny legs instead of the other way around, a distinct head shape, and three tails instead of just one. Suffice to say I am super pleased with how Noxie turned out, and now I kinda want to keep it for some non-Pokemon ideas, maybe.

On the clown Pokemon line: Another piece for my own Pokemon Design challenge, this time for making a Pokemon for an unused type! In this case Fairy and Fighting, which admittedly I'm surprised hasn't been done yet. Watch, with the new Scarlet and Violet coming out soon, there's probably gonna be one in that game, lol These little buddies are based on clowns, obviously! I really would love to see a non-Legendary/non-Ultra Beast clown Pokemon. The Mr. Mime like is close but not quite perfect for me, and Blacephalon is friggin' awesome, but I think I'd like a clown Pokemon that was more readily available for most players. Jestimp is jester + imp, Pierlin is Pierrot + gremlin/goblin, and Harlepunch is harlequin + punch (which can of course mean physical punching, but also a reference to the character Punch from Punch and Judy). I love how I managed the progressing of appearance in this line, turned out so well!   Admittedly Jestimp and Harlepunch were based off previous Pokemon designs I had on an old account. So I guess it's kind of cheating to use it again for this, but I hope no one minds. :u

On the fossil Pokemon: This was for designing new fossil Pokemon! One based on parasaurolophus, and the other based on stegosaurus. The color scheme for this is probably kinda gaudy? But I was inspired by some of those old (and usually inaccurate, lol) dinosaur toys that would have the dinos in a bunch of different wild colors.   So we got Paraling (parasaurolophus + duckling) and Parallard (parasaurolophus+ mallard). The reasoning for having their names based on ducks was mostly because of Ducky from the Land Before Time movies, lol. Though the duck influence ended up with me designing them to actually resemble ducks somewhat, at least having bills and webbed hands/feet. So they're kinda semi-aquatic without actually being water types! Also, they sing and used sound-based moves, mostly based on the fact that actual parasaurolophus are believed to make some fantastical sounds! If the games had a Sound type, they'd be that instead of Normal tbh.

And then we have Solsaur (sol + -saur ending from stegosaur), and Luxsaur (lux, Latin word for light, + -saur). This one was an idea I've had for a verrry long time, a stegosaurus Pokemon with the plates on its back acting as solar panels to help power electric attacks! I know there's already Helioptile/Heliolisk as solar-powered Electric Pokemon, but I still really like my idea of the plates being "more obvious" solar panels like this.

am i allowed to do shameless promo on here? if not feel free to just delete my ask sdFGJKSDFHK but like i've been working on this series that... was SUPPOSED to be skz centric but the atz and tbz members i included as "side characters" quickly became main characters as the reader spends more time around their own band than skz since its an enemies to lovers battle of the bands au but like. with a twist. well, multiple twists, if you include the fact that i have no self control and made it a poly fuckfest where all 8 members of skz, and 3 members of tbz and atz end up in one huge polycule and there's just... copious amounts of filth, bc the reader's band are the kinda bandmates that fuck the homies goodnight and skz are not the type to back down from Any sort of challenge. its lots of fun. oh yeah the reader is also transmasc but like... i feel like if us transmasc folk can enjoy fem reader content then fem readers can still enjoy a transmasc mc once in a while 🤭

currently i only have the prologue out and pinned because mid-writing chapter 1 i realised that if i was inspired to write later scenes now, nothing's stopping me from writing them. so i have like 4 wips of scenes much later in the story and a chapter 1 that's not even half done. lmfao. you reblogging that post made me get off my ass and get back to working on chapter 1, so, thanks! and thanks for listening to me ramble in your inbox lmao
