Remember when I said I wasn't gonna post fanfics? I lied. I'm gonna post just this one as an excuse to have some Johnshi in my life but also because its rare I write a fic that isnt a self indulgent oc fic
This is just a lil fic where Kenshi comforts Johnny after a stunt on set leaves him with an injured ankle, mostly cute banter. Also sorry if the formatting looks weird, i dont normally post fics to tumblr so idk how to space my paragraphs like I do on google docs.
Tumblr media
Click. Step. Click. Step.
The Hollywood actor carried himself on his crutches across the room, from the door to his living room couch, where he saw Kenshi waiting in anticipation.
“Honey, I'm home,” Johnny announced in a parody of those old movies, how he loved his dumb movie references.
“Doesn't sound like good news. Are those crutches?” Kenshi asked, judging by the sound and the patterns of the sound. Though he usually relied on Sento for sight, he hardly ever felt the need to in a casual setting, so it rested in the mantle above the fireplace.
“Yeup. Doc says I'll need ‘em for a few weeks, a month at most.”
Kenshi crossed his arms and leaned back on the couch. “Was that stunt still worth it?”
Johnny snorted, “Totally, the shot came out perfect! You may not know this, but I do all of my own stunts. Impresses everybody when I tell them that!” He dropped a small paper bag of his prescribed painkillers on the coffee table and sat next to Kenshi, wincing as he lifted his ankle to rest it on the same table.
“Aren't stuntmen used so the real actors don't get hurt?”
“I mean- yeah. But don't worry, they're just gonna film everything else until I come back, which should be in no time. I'm just built different.”
Kenshi could just hear the cocky smile, causing him to shake his head in disbelief, but he couldn't hold back the small bit of laughter at Johnny’s pride and confidence. “Alright, but it looks like it's my turn to take care of you again.”
“Don't sweat it, Ken doll, I can take care of myself. You've already helped me enough, and you've got yourself to look after,” He noted all too seriously. Obviously there still rested some guilt in his heart over Mileena's rabid attack that day.
“That ankle needs to rest. That movie needs you and you need the money from it.” Undeniable. Johnny was still getting back on his feet (not literally now) after a messy and expensive divorce, he needed whatever work he could get at the moment. “You just let me know when you need something.”
Johnny sighed as he looked down at his injured ankle. These next few weeks were going to be the most boring while of his life.
Kenshi seemed to know Johnny wasn't feeling so good by the sudden quietness, not even a silly request from his offer. When Johnny of all people was quiet, there was a problem. “Johnny? You alright?”
“Yeah… I've just never been good at sitting still and doing nothing, you know? Now I can't even use my own pool in my living room,” He complained, as if having a pool in the living room was a normal thing.
“Come on, Johnny, you still have a whole mansion. Unless your attention span really is that small, you're not gonna get bored,” Kenshi lovingly poked at him. “It’s not like you're alone either.”
Johnny noded with a small smile of comfort. “That's right, I've got you, my best friend, boyfriend, and assigned FBI agent,” Johnny joked. Gods, not again with the assigned FBI agent meme. “And hey, maybe we can invite Kung Lao and Raiden over to hang out. You think Liu Kang would wanna drop by?”
Kenshi gave an amused smirk. “Probably not, but Kung Lao, might.”
Johnny looked down at the table again, spotting a marker. He groaned and wheezed as he leaned over to grab it, trying not to move his ankle off the table as his finger tips barely touched the marker.
“Johnny what are you-” Before he could finish his question, he felt a marker tapping against his hand.
“You wanna be the first to sign my cast?” Johnny offered, trying to play it off cool but his excitement was slipping past in his voice.
“You mean Hollywood’s megastar wants my autograph?” Kenshi teased. He took the marker into his hand, and Johnny guided his hand down to his cast. Confidently, Kenshi began writing his name.
“Not bad writing for someone who can't really see,” Johnny complimented, meaning it obviously and trying to make it sound like that rather than a mockery.
“I still know the motions of writing, that's enough to get by.” Of course Johnny hadn't seen Kenshi's messier writing at his job and maybe it should stay that way.
The real surprise was the small heart he drew right below his own name. Kenshi wasn't so into PDA, nor into cutesy stuff like that, so it caught Johnny off guard to see the small display. It wasn't like people didn't know they were dating, Johnny was way too into showing off their love and too loud to keep that secret, but it was rather that Kenshi was a more subtle lover when it came to their relationship, preferring to keep things behind doors. Still, it was a nice surprise, and at least now it made the cast way better to look at! Of course Johnny was already pulling out his phone to snap a photo of it to post to his socials.
“You're posting your cast, aren't you?” Kenshi reasonably accused.
“Gotta let the fans know production might be on hold.”
“Is that it? Or are you bragging about us again?”
Johnny snickered, meaning Kenshi was right. “Okay, you got me, but how can I not show you off? You're the coolest! A blind swordsman? Dating Hollywood's biggest hit? We're like a power couple!”
If Kenshi still had his eyeballs, he'd be lovingly rolling them, but admittedly it was kind of cute seeing how enthusiastic Johnny was about their relationship- and kind of funny to think about considering they were previously rivals over Sento.
Kenshi leaned in to press a kiss to Johnny's cheek, and he could feel the wrinkles of a smile under his lips. “Looks like you're feeling better about that ankle.”
“As long as I have you by my side, this injury is gonna be a breeze!” Now it was Johnny's turn to lean in, this time leaning to rest his head on Kenshi with closed eyes and a content smile. Kenshi reciprocated by wrapping an arm around Johnny to hold him. “Shit, that medicine they gave me is starting to catch up.”
“You get sleepy off of a couple Tylenols,” Kenshi playfully quipped, making Johnny laugh.
“Just saying it's a good excuse to nap on you! Unless you're gonna tele-fling me to bed again.”
Kenshi shook his head. “Maybe when your ankle isn't as broken. Right here is fine, just keep your ankle up.”
“Sweet,” Johnny happily murmured as he felt himself starting to doze off. Damn, Tylenol really did knock him out.

Round One: Ngwevu vs Kholumalumo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Factfiles:
Ngwevu ntoloko
Tumblr media
Artwork by @i-draws-dinosaurs, written by @i-draws-dinosaurs and @zygodactylus
Name meaning: Grey skull
Time: ~190 to 180 million years ago (Pliensbachian to Toarcian stages of the Early Jurassic)
Location: Clarens Formation, South Africa
Ngwevu is a dinosaur with a case of baby-face so bad it was classified as another genus for 40 years. Initially discovered in 1978 and thought to be a specimen of Massospondylus, turns out it was just a really baby-looking prosauropod of a different kind! Many times in evolution animals will retain “baby” characteristics into adulthood - the classic and easily recognizable trait being large, round eyes, but also other features such as stunted proportions and chunkier limbs, depending. It seems that Ngwevu went through one of these processes, looking more similar to juveniles of other prosauropods (such as Massospondylus) than adults, all while actually being adults themselves. Predictably, it had a squat face with large eyes, a wide snout, robust proportions, and a thick body - babified Massospondylus! It probably had a more generalist diet than its cousin, indicating probable niche partitioning as the two lived in the same environment. The Clarens Formation, coming right after the Elliot, was an arid desert dominated by dunes, with a few types of dinosaurs including ornithischians, theropods, and other sauropodomorphs. In addition, fish, crustaceans, and invertebrates are also known from this location.
Kholumolumo ellenbergerorum
Tumblr media
Artwork by @alphynix, written by @i-draws-dinosaurs
Name meaning: Kholumolumo (giant reptilian dragon from Sotho folklore) named for Paul and François Ellenberger (the original excavators of the fossils)
Time: 210 million years ago (Norian stage of the Late Triassic)
Location: Lower Elliot Formation, Lesotho
Kholumolumo is an old friend with a new name. Its previous informal name, “Thotobolosaurus” meaning “trash heap reptile”, was truly magnificent and became one of the great memes of Ye Olde 2010s Palaeo Tumblr! Needless to say it was a bittersweet moment to see our old buddy finally published but lose its iconic name in the process. Rest in peace, Trash Heap Lizard.
The reason it wound up with that name is because the fossils were in fact found basically right next to the local rubbish dump of the village of Maphutseng in 1955. The trash pile turned out to be sitting on a bone bed of around five to ten animals, and over the course of several years they were excavated and moved to the University of Cape Town. Unfortunately, and perhaps appropriately to the name, the subsequent study of these fossils ended up being a complete trash fire. Specimens went missing that have never been found, professional relationships fell apart, and the animal itself wasn’t mentioned in the literature until 1970 when it was dropped into a discussion on the stratigraphy of the Elliot formation and named “Thotobolosaurus mabeatae” without any description of the fossils. This made the name “Thotobolosaurus” a nomen nudum (naked name) and thus invalid.
Finally in 2020 all the tribulation paid off and it received a proper initial description, although many fossils that weren’t lost in the chaos still remain under study and could be the subject of future papers. It’s nice to see our beloved trash heap of a dinosaur finally coming into its own!

5 things I enjoy writing meme
Thanks, @aptericia for tagging me!
I'll start by saying that every creator has a series of themes and motifs that especially resonate with them and show up again and again in their most powerful works, and I'm no exception. The #vein of gold tag on my blog is devoted specifically to those posts which capture mine when I find them in the wild. Learning to articulate this both visually and verbally was one of the most rewarding exercises I ever did, allowing me to specifically customize my fics for maximum personal appeal instead of hitting it by accident.
That said, here are some more general things that don't quite fit into the tag but I still enjoy writing:
Awkward situations - I really love forcing characters to be uncomfortable, not necessarily in the sense of 'big dramatic terrible things' like injury or death, but in small, petty, but no less impactful ways. These are often, but not always, social, but they don't have to be--I like a certain level of realism even in my fantasies, which translates into a lot of low-level annoyances that are often omitted from stories. I know a lot of people write specifically to get away from that, but I love it precisely because it's so rarely modeled in fiction and it's so true to life.
Experimenting with different structures, formats, styles, tropes, and POVs -- if I read something innovative or cool or different, I instantly want to play in the same sandbox and write my own version of it. Basically, I'll try almost anything at least once, just for the hell of it and as a personal challenge.
Meta essays are like infodumping, but more organized and with citations and once you write them, you can just drop the link instead of endlessly repeating yourself. :)
Witty banter and snark, my beloved! Also puns, wordplay, and literary allusions - anything where I get to exercise my zany sense of humor, which often goes hand in hand with crack scenarios.
I also really like writing for specific people - I do a lot of exchanges, and I enjoy the challenge of finding that sweet spot where my recipient's tastes and my tastes overlap, especially since tailoring a fic to a specific audience is an essential writing skill. Sometimes I'll get an idea and just know someone who would like it, and it's fun to give gifts for any or no reason! Writing can be lonely, so I appreciate the social aspects of fandom, and the interactivity, especially when it generates new and interesting ideas I never would have come up with on my own.
I am the place where memes and tag games go to die, but if anyone reading this feels inspired to join in, please do so!

Without a doubt, I can say this has been the best year of my life as an artist. As i take stock on my productivity over the last year, I can't help but be proud of the consistency and output i achieved, averaging around 2 finished mythic illustrations per week, and was able to whip out about 75 images overall for the year, and with the freelance work i did on the side, i can safely say i did around 100 images total for the year. If I can keep up this level, I like to think I could finish a new book topic each year in the future. but...i need to finish the first book before i get too ambitious. :P
As always, I'm sending a big heartfelt thank you and digital hug to you lovely TUMBLR folks who have been following this mythic artistic journey I'm on; leaving positive, supportive comments, adding hashtags to my works, and purchasing my prints. I just sold my 300th print a few days ago, and it warms my heart to know people want this artwork hanging in their homes. In the end, I can't tell you how much it means to hear from folks, and read your encouraging comments. It truly feeds the furnace of my artistic soul, and motivates me to keep chugging along each week. so THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I LOVE YOU ALL!
I'm super excited to dive into 2023. Im about 75% through my "Greek Gods and Heroes" book. So in the coming months ill be tackling Hercules, Bellerophon, and Argonautica. Im also considering spending a couple months on the pre-olympian titans and world formation myths. I have to be careful or this book could go on forever! haha, anyways, im hoping to be finished, and ready to publish in the middle of 2023.
anyways! drop a message, suggestion, criticism, or goofy meme below, i always love to hear from you folks. XOXO

So, Surf and Turf Wars pt. 2 just dropped, and I’d like to do a mini-review again, just like I did for the first part.
I try to be as unbiased as possible when it comes to reviewing these, as I don’t want to have an “old good, new bad” mindset. I like legacy, and it’s quite different from the classic era. So I try to give everything a fair chance.
and now for the actual review:
_
5.5/10
Yeah, once again, like my first review…it’s just alright. The whole “lobster monster Matt” wasn’t really to my taste comedy-wise. The whole “big monster does big monster stuff” isn’t really funny to me.
And I feel like this eddisode suffered from separating the guys. I feel like the way Tom and Edd are written in beyond isn’t entertaining enough to carry long scenes where it’s just them. (Which *might* be kind of controversial? Maybe. Because I know a lot of people liked their scenes together in part 1.) But, even so, the two of them are sidelined HARD in this and I’m not even sure why.
Also…I’m not a fan of how many jokes are relegated to random one-off characters. Like, I’m here for the guys. Not randoms. And yes, I know that both past eras of eddsworld had jokes with one-off characters. But they were using pretty sparingly, and never felt like it took away from the comedy.
Not to mention that both of the ongoing plots: the Matt plot, and the Tom and Edd plot…were both a bit stale. Both plots didn’t really end in any satisfying way. It’s was pretty anticlimactic. If it were up to me, I would’ve just had Matt be with Edd and Tom on the beach doing the competitions. The eddsworld guys work great when they’re all together. Plus…lobster Matt doesn’t even interact with Edd and Tom?? What’s the point then?
And all the jokes were very…meh. I’m just gonna accept at this point that Matt’s writing style isn’t my cup of tea.
OKAY. I know I just tore into this eddisode pretty harshly, but there are some nice positives and improvements that I noticed.
-Better pacing. The first part, imo, had really strange and awkward pacing. Like it was so sluggish at points, but also moved too fast sometimes. But that’s been remedied somewhat in the second part, and I like that.
-Less awkward: By “less awkward”, I mean there’s more music. Something thats bugged me about the beyond eps is that they felt awkward and quiet due to lack of music. But there’s more music now, yay.
-Montage. I liked the montage scene. Very eddsworld.
-Sonic popsicle on the ice cream truck. Because I’m massive sonic trash.
-
SO…yeah. That’s the review. Sorry if this is formatted shittily, I did it on my phone in a hurry, lol. And if you happen to have different opinions on this eddisode, totally cool.
Kinda sucks that pretty much all of beyond hasn’t been what I’d hoped. Everyone else is enjoying it though, and I can’t help but feel like squidward looking out the window in that one meme. 😭 I wanna like it so bad, but I just can’t. Beaster bunny, and the surf and turf pt. 1 and 2 have both just been misses for me.
…Also, Matt doesn’t like icecream. What’s up with that?

彡✎ Is Blogging Still a Thing, or Did It Get Lost in MySpace? ("Is blogging still relevant in the age of TikToks and Instagram?")
Every time I go on social media platforms like Twitter or Tumblr, I can post the most trauma-dumping content to ever exist, or even post the funniest memes. This image is all I could think about in regard to that.
Tumblr media
In a world where cat videos go viral and memes have become a form of communication, it's high time we ask: Is blogging still relevant in the age of TikTok and Instagram?
Blogging? Whats that
A blog is defined as an online journal or informational website that displays content in reverse chronological order, with the most recent posts appearing first. It serves as a sort of forum for writers to express their opinions on specific topics (Minaev 2023). Over the years, the relevancy of blog sites such as Tumblr and even Blogspot (now known as Blogger) seems to be declining.
Tumblr, tumbled away
For Tumblr specifically, I noticed that not a lot of people are talking about or even using Tumblr after they banned explicit content on the platform. Honestly, even before they banned adult content, I still never heard anything about Tumblr. However, it was reported that the website experienced its most significant drop in the number of blogs following the ban on adult-oriented content in December 2018, plummeting from 521 million to less than 370 million in just two months (Eira 2023).
To make matters worse, Tumblr does not even appear on any of the social media usage rankings anymore. Most people nowadays would prefer using social media platform giants such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. In short, Tumblr fell off. From that, it seems that Tumblr isn't "the vibe™" anymore with Gen-Zs.
Tumblr media
Despite Tumblr not seeing the light of day in today's generation, I do think that blogging in general is still relevant on platforms such as Twitter and its newest competitor, Threads (from Meta). I do think that some, if not, most of the community from Tumblr has migrated to Twitter due to the similarities that the two platforms have.
Twitter, Oops I meant X
Twitter, or you can even call it "X" (don't call it that), has done quite an amazing job at carrying on Tumblr's legacy but through a different format. Twitter is considered as a microblogging platform that combines content creation and instant messaging. It also increases interaction with an online audience by sharing brief remarks using a microblog (Sprout Social 2023). Personally, I think that Twitter is a great platform to receive news, interact with the fandom that I am in, and also see who got canceled (again). I feel that part of the reason why Twitter seems to be more popular than Tumblr is due to the character limit that Twitter has, which is capped at 280 characters per post (without the premium subscription). As someone who suffers from mild ADHD, I would prefer Twitter to Tumblr for that reason. I find that Tumblr could be quite overwhelming to some people, especially those who have just started out. Twitter, on the other hand, is mostly short-formed content, that can also be separated out as a thread.
Here are a few examples that I took from my own Twitter page:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hanging on by a Thread(s)
Threads (from Meta), is also really similar to Twitter in terms of everything. It is also a microblogging platform. In my honest opinion, I quickly got tired of Threads after a week of using it. I just thought it was quite boring to use and there isn't really anything new other than being able to still use your existing Instagram account to create a Threads account. It just felt really similar to Twitter and I think that might be part of the reason why it is not doing as well. I also feel like I am very comfortable with Twitter and have been a part of Twitter for a long time now (even though it got rebranded to "X"). I still hate the fact that Twitter got rebranded to X. No one can ever make me call it X.
Welcome back to my channel !
Besides Tumblr and Threads, blogging has also evolved into a video format, called vlogging. Vlogging is short for video blogging or video logging (changing the b to v from blogging, very original). Most content creators nowadays would typically post either their daily routine or the adventures they had on platforms like YouTube or TikTok. Each of their videos has a unique style that fits the aesthetic or personal preference of the creator. I find that vlogging is one of the easiest media to consume due to the fact that it is in a video format where I can see their vlogs visually and also from their own perspective.
Final thoughts and prayers
Overall, I do believe that, in some aspects, blogging is still a thing and is also relevant in the ages of TikToks and Instagram. With social media platforms such as Twitter, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, and Tumblr, blogging will remain relevant.

Writing for your First Audience
Hello!
Today's blog is mostly for newer to comics folks, though there's probably some useful stuff for old hats here too. As an editor, I see a LOT of scripts every year. Since I am reviewing a high-volume of them on a regular basis, I end up seeing some commonalities of both good practices and things that could make everyone down the line's life easier, so I thought I'd briefly talk about that!
Who Reads the Script vs. Who Reads the Comic If you're making a comic and making it available to be read, the idea is you want someone reading the final product, right? The full execution of your (and your collaborators') ideas. But most of the time, unless you're quickly cartooning something, that final stage is not the initial execution of a comic. Exact workflows vary from person to person, team to team, but generally speaking, most comics start with a script that's going to be read and shared.
Think of a good mystery. As a reader, you're compelled by putting the pieces together, seeing what's going to happen next, being surprised or vindicated (or both) when a reveal does happen, and these things work in tandem to keep you turning pages. A good script is like that, but you have to make sure you're leaving very clear signposts for the people you're working with to properly put together the puzzle.
It's worth remembering at this point, that your comic is likely to have anywhere between 1 and 7 other people reading it at the script stage: an editor, a penciller/artist, possibly an inker, possibly a colorist, possibly a licensor, possibly a letterer, and possibly any of those sorts of people in duplicate! And because they are helping build and refine the story with you, they need to know what they're working on as early as possible.
The very basic version of that is something like if a baddie is giving their grandiose speech before they blow up a bank vault or whatever, if you know they're going to thumb a detonator on page 8, you should probably make sure you show the detonator while they're speechifying on page 7, just so the action tracks more easily for the reader. And, more importantly at the script stage, so your artist knows that they should be drawing the villain with detonator in hand before they press the button.
But there are a lot more complex versions, and a lot of those come down to formatting as much as the actual writing process.
Where Do You Put the Information
Again, a lot of this is going to come to personal preference between the people involved, but I would generally consider what information the rest of your team will need and flag it as early as possible. Some of my favorite scripts to read as an editor start out with a reference section before the script itself. Some writers I work with will provide short descriptions of the major locations or set-pieces and props. If there's reference available--something we've seen previously in the series and are revisiting--maybe they'll drop in some pictures. If there's a new character joining the cast, they might have a short description of their appearance and personality. Some folks even go so far as to flag ahead of Page 1 word 1 to call out if they've got specific requests for the lettering.
I am very grateful to my collaborators who don't mind that I don't tend to do that in my own scripts (though I try to be better). But I really appreciate it as an editor because it makes my life a lot easier knowing I can properly communicate that information not just to the rest of the team working on that issue's interiors, but also often by having that info and reference available for cover artists.
The other place I see those larger reference archives added is the back of the script. Generally, I find if the reference is at the back of the script, it tends to be more photo-heavy with ideas for locations or specific callouts for characters (or sometimes memes). It doesn't reduce the helpfulness or importance of the reference, but I do find reference in the back tends to be for broader picture ideas that help set a more specific sense of place or build upon a reference, rather than helping to dictate the action.
For myself, I tend to be a heavy in-script referencer. Which is to say, I add a lot of hyperlinks and comments to the things I have a specific idea on how they should look, as they enter the script. That's also a totally fine option, as long as you're planning your script for the other readers. Again, that's making sure the detonator's there before it's used, but it's also things like if you have a back-and-forth with your editor about something being unclear and you figure it out in the comments, make sure you also go back and add that clarity in the actual script so licensors or artists aren't having to track down and read through all your back-and-forth. Plus, as an editor, I tend to like to send licensors "clean" scripts, so I minimize the number of comments as much as possible.
With all that said, figure out what works for you and your partners. A couple of times I've gotten scripts with accompanying thumbnails (usually when the writer is a cartoonist in their own right) and those have specific compositional ideas or funny little details that might not get illuminated in the script as written. I've had some writers drop like one link early on in a script to a shared folder that has all the references or mood boards or whatever for an issue in a single place. I've worked with teams who have created shared inspiration boards and reference boards that make getting a fill-in artist on-board super easy.
Not Everyone Starts at the Start
I was talking with an artist friend at SDCC and she was mentioning how she likes to tackle issues in reverse page order. She reads it front to back, but then she starts drawing with the last page. Her reasoning, which makes a lot of sense, was starting at the back, she'll have the most energy for the most exciting pages, the cliffhanger or finale. And she'll know how things are set up at the end so as she works backwards to the front, she can keep continuity going because she already knows what she's supposed to be setting up. And I thought that was a very neat way of doing things!
I bring this up because it speaks to one of the most important things: like half of knowing how to format for the people you're working with is finding out how they work. And that's not always an option. I have heard a lot of folks talk about how--despite comics being collaborative--they haven't really had a chance to speak to the writer or the artist or whoever else they're working with. Which makes working with them really hard. As an editor, I tend to facilitate communication at the start, but if the creators ask to or seem like they should be in direct communication, I link them up ASAP.
All of which is to say, unless you're operating in total isolation, someone else is going to access your script and when they do, make sure you're making it illuminating for them so they can do their best job, rather than having to piece too much together on the go.
What I enjoyed this week: Blank Check (Podcast), Craig of the Creek (Cartoon), Honkai Star Rail (Video game), My Adventures with Superman (Cartoon), the beach, The Broken Room by Peter Clines (Book), Crime Scene Kitchen (TV show), Dumbing of Age (Webcomic), Barbie (Movie), Guy's Grocery Games (TV show), Dungeons & Daddies (Podcast), not being at SDCC.

Plug:  No big announcements, but maybe join my Patreon! You get this same blog, but without this part plugging my Patreon! Plus you get extra stuff! This week, I'm putting up Jimmy Squarefoot for all $5 and up backers and have my first "something weird" coming out for $10 and up backers: a presentation about some best practices on moderating (and making presentations for) panels!
Pic of the Week: Took the day after SDCC off to recover at the beach, so that's what's here, but the real pic of the week if Becca's series of Freddie and Laurie's summer vacation!

new pinned post ig
welcome to our blog, co-run by a couple of fags :D
intros + interests below the cut
yo i'm mikey. i'm a bit of a namehoarder; i also used to go by crow on this blog so some of you might know me as that. if you ask for/call my by my other names i will explode /pos
i mainly use he/him and zhey/zem (basically they/them but with a z lol, dropping the h is also ok), but other neos are fine too. if we’re close, you can use it/its as well.
i'm really interested in science and am currently in a program at my school where i can conduct research with a college professor, so i'll probably end up both enthusing about that and plugging my survey at some point lmao
i also have a sleep token sideblog: @diamonds-in-the-trees
hey i’m frankie/jaime (feel free to use either i like them both equally), a trans fag punk boy. I use he/they pronouns and i am spiderman irl.
I'm also a huge fan of movies, really all genres, filmbro shit (ex. fight club, american psycho) horror (ex. sinister, dawn of the dead (og AND remake), lost boys, tbh there's too many to list), superhero (SPIDERMANSPIDERMANSPIDERMANSPIDERMAN, blue beetle), any edgar wright movies, and whatever the fuck saltburn was. i also do art sometimes (my art sideblog is @weapon-of-choosing) and i would greatly appreciate it if you interacted with it
neither of us have a specific schedule for when we’ll be on but frankie is usually on around 9:00 pm -1:00 am pst. mikey is just on whenever he's bored, mostly afternoons (est) but don't be surprised to find me posting at 4am lol
trigger tags will be formatted as “tw x”; feel free to ask to tag something or let me know if i forget, which. happens a lot to be honest, so proceed with caution if there's something that's really distressing to you.
i'm honestly just generally bad at tagging things but i would like to try and organize stuff a little better lol, things you can expect to see include:
dan and phil
bands (twenty one pilots, fall out boy, my chem, etc)
all for the game (just mikey)
spiderverse (just frankie)
frankies art
gay shit
mikey’s cat (currently tagged as ‘crow’s cat’; ill probably keep the tag that way)
random memes/shitposts
personal posts every once in a while (mostly mikey)
whatever else we want i guess
we don't have a specific dni for several reasons, but in addition to being fags, we’re also proud trannies and queers, so do with that information what you will. basically, if you’re a bigot/exclus/generally have bad vibes (or are just annoying lol), we’ll probably block you. special shoutout to terfs/tehms, fuck off our page k thx <3
finally, we are both minors; we’re personally ok interacting with people over 18 but if interacting with/following minors is an issue for anyone, feel free to block and move on, no hard feelings

⇾ Main rule: Please be nice and respectful. I try my best to make this blog a safe space for everybody, irrespective of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, etc., and I expect the same courtesy in return.
More info in general about how I run this blog and how I am as a roleplay partner can be found [here] and [here].
⇾ Interactions: I am always open to plotting and also to just winging stuff, and I very much welcome multiple threads with the same person. I love discussing ideas and possibilities, exploring dynamics and relationships, and world-building. Itachi isn't always easy to "meet" in canon, due to the nature and history of his character, but I am always happy to toss in canon divergences and even to create new verses so that our muses can interact.
To interact with me, always feel free to: come poke at me in the DMs, tag me on a starter, ask me for a starter, send something to my inbox. My memes/ prompts don't have expiration date. Doesn't matter if I reblogged that post yesterday or 3 years ago, if you see something interesting and wanna send it in, do send it in. Also always feel free to continue asks. And I don't really care for reblog karma, so feel free to reblog all the things directly from me.
I’m versatile with my writing and usually I mirror what my partner does (one-liners or paragraphs, past tense or present tense, etc.).  I add minimal formatting to my posts and I don't use icons, and I'm okay with any style in my partners' replies. If you need me to keep my own replies looking simple and unformatted, just let me know. Fair warning: I sometimes get wordy in my replies! Please never feel like you have to match reply length. Provided there's content to work with and we're having fun, that always matters to me more than size or word count.
Last but never least: please don't ever feel like you owe me anything. Roleplay is for fun, not to add to irl stress. If you wanna drop a thread, drop it. If you need a long time to reply back, take as much time as needed. If you aren't feeling our current interaction(s) and would like to start over or plot something different, go for it. If I sent you an inbox prompt and you're not feeling it, delete the whole thing. Please take care of yourself and always put your well-being first!
⇾ Content: The following themes feature heavily in my portrayal: children as soldiers, children expected to act as adults, blood and injuries, death, (progressive) chronic/terminal illness, (progressive) blindness, mental illness symptoms, genocide represented by the Uchiha massacre, segregation and discrimination perpetrated on the Uchiha clan, canon-typical violence, canon-typical eye gore, manipulation associated with the use of genjutsu.
These themes will NOT be tagged, because they are integral to Itachi as a character. Any other potential triggers will be tagged as: trigger cw. If you need something in specific to be tagged, please always feel free to let me know. I’m open to exploring dark/ angsty/ dead dove themes, provided both muns rightfully consent and are comfortable with it.
⇾ Relationships: Yes please. Gimme all the bonds: romantic, platonic, family, friends, friends with benefits, enemies, rivals, hateships, all of it. If you write a ship/bond with me actually be prepared for me to randomly bombard you with headcanons, ideas, pictures and songs and videos that remind me of our muses. This blog is multi-ship and each thread happens in its own universe, unless plotted otherwise. Regarding sexual content, I personally feel comfortable writing it explicitly, however I will always respect what my partners prefer. Totally okay with making it vague as well, or even to fade to black entirely.
