The pouring rain was the only think keeping you awake as your rushed back into the house, wet hair sticking to your face and all your clothes glued to your skin.

Your first outing in nearly a month and you had regretted ever even leaving the house. The cold November rain made you feel as if your very core was frozen — a very rude awakening at this late hour of the morning.

You slammed your door shut behind you as if keeping out the rain demons, leaning back against it and sighing out in relief that you were finally in a dry environment.

You shrugged off your sticky rain jacket, not even bothering to dry it off so that the drops wouldn’t puddle onto the hardwood floors. You hung it up, tossing your rainboots to the side as well. You dropped the full grocery bag to the floor, planning on putting the stuff away once you had regained your energy.

The house was quite, which was no surprise. Ron was fast asleep when you left that morning. He probably hadn’t even noticed you were out, really. He’d probably lose his mind once he found out, but he couldn’t have stopped you while sleeping so it wasn’t your fault.

You tiptoed over to your room, spotting the familiar head of ginger hair still sound asleep, a smaller mop of ginger hair resting against his chest. Your heart swelled at the sight and you left the room, letting the two of them catch up on much deserved sleep.

After your son was born, about a month ago, Ron went into full defence mode. He didn’t let you leave the house, too worried that something would happen to you. Maybe it was paranoia from the war many years ago, or maybe just because his inner protective dad side was coming through, but you loved him for it anyways.

He loved your newborn unconditionally. The two of them were inseparable and Ron didn’t seem to complain one bit. You’d often find them snoozing on the couch in the late afternoons or watching telly together — Ron loved to watch your son’s face light up at the silly cartoons.

Being as quiet as humanly possible, you snuck into the kitchen and opened the fridge, beginning to put away the food you had just bought and taking some stuff out to make him some breakfast. For a month now, Ron had been doing all the house work — cooking, chores, laundry — you thought it was about time you worked up the energy and did something for him.

You took a few eggs out of the fridge, along with the bacon that you had just bought, and began making him the first meal of the day while hoping the smell wouldn’t wake him or the baby up. The pouring rain continued on outside, which was no longer a pain considering you were becoming drier by the second.

After you had beautifully arranged a little tray, pouring him a cup of tea as well, you began slowly walking back into the bedroom. You stared at them for a little while, a bright smile on your face at how cute they were together. But, alas, you didn’t want the breakfast to grow cold.

You walked to his side of the bed, placing the tray down on the window sill and kneeling next to the bed, placing a quick kiss on Ron’s nose.

He scrunched up his face, “Mmm.. mornin’, darling.”

You smiled down at him, lifting your hand to run it gently through his hair. The morning sunlight was streaming through the windows, illuminating his bright hair and the freckles that were scattered faintly across his cheeks.

“Morning,” you smiled, “Made you breakfast.”

“Ah, I thought I smelled something,” he chuckled quietly, lifting both of his hands to place them on the sleeping baby still dozed off on his chest, “I can’t bring myself to wake him.”

You stood up and placed your hands around your son, “I’ll take him.” You lifted him off of Ron’s chest and cradled him in your arms, his big brown eyes waking up to look at you, “Hey, Ollie.”

Ron had fallen in love with the name Oliver — and luckily, you had too. When your son was born, there was no doubt in your mind that the name Oliver would suit him perfectly.

He fussed slightly, letting out a small cry before readjusting himself and resting his tiny head against your chest. Ron grinned at the two of you, standing up to grab the tray and sitting back down in bed.

“Come join me,” he pat your spot on the bed, lifting the covers a bit so you could come join him. You happily obliged, carefully sitting down without causing distress to your sleeping son.

“Thank you for this,” he motioned to the food, “Still love spoiling you more, though.”

“You always spoil me,” you replied with a grin, “Don’t know what I did to deserve it.”

He gave you a look of mock shock, “Don’t know what you did? Blimey, woman. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Don’t be pretending you’re not.”

Resting your head against his shoulder and letting out a laugh, you nodded, “Fine, as long as you also know you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Both of you are.” You gazed down at your son, his eyes shut and his mouth hanging open. He had so many of his father’s features and you couldn’t help but beam with pride. If he had his father’s personality as well — his drive, his passion, dedication, loyalty — you’d be the proudest mum there ever was.

Ron stuck out his hand, holding a piece of bacon. You gladly accepted it with your teeth, enjoying the savoury flavour and suddenly wondering why you hadn’t made breakfast for yourself.

“Where’d you get the eggs? Could have sworn we were out,” Ron looked at you with furrowed eyebrows.

“We were,” you nodded, “I went to the grocery store this morning.”

He stared blankly at you, “You didn’t — Y/N, I told you not to go out there. You just had a baby, you need to rest up. Besides, I can hear the heavy rain hitting the roof. It’s miserable outside.”

You gave him a soft smile, “I know, Ron. But I was getting bored all cooped up. You’ve been doing everything, I wanted to do something for you.”

“And I appreciate it, darling, don’t get me wrong,” his eyes softened and he looked between you and Ollie, “I just worry about you. All the time.”

“I know, love,” you leaned forwards and pressed a kiss to his cheek, “If it makes you feel better, I did bring my wand.”

He pursed his lips and nodded his head, “Makes me feel a little better. But still. Next time, if you want to leave, we’ll go together, yeah?”

“Yes, Ron, we’ll go together,” you said slowly, like a child repeating orders from their parents. He seemed to accept your answer, though, for he went back to eating his breakfast, feeding you as well considering your stomach had begun to grumble loudly.

After you guys finished eating, you stood up and placed the still-sleeping baby in his crib, trying your best not to wake him as he looked incredibly peaceful. You smiled down at him before leaving the room and following Ron to the kitchen.

With a flick of his wand, the dishes were clean and began to float back to the cabinets where they belonged. You had barely had the chance to stand by his side before the cleaning had been done.

“Well, now we’ve got a whole morning of nothing to do,” he grinned, spinning around and wrapping his arms around you, pulling you flush to his warm body.

You lifted your hands and tamed his hair, “Wanna cuddle on the couch?”

“Of course. ‘S like you read my mind,” he smirked, pressing a kiss to your forehead and leading you to the couch, the two of you flipping down with you landing on top of him.

“Accio blanket,” you mumbled, the blanket from the other couch zooming over and enveloping the two of you in comfortable warmth.

Now comfortable and warm, you nuzzled your head into Ron’s chest, who had just turned on the telly to watch something about an upcoming football match — you were barely paying attention as you started zoning off in Ron’s arms.

“Go back to sleep, love,” he kissed the top of your head, rubbing his hand through your hair, “I’ll wake you up if there’s anything.”

“Mkay,” you mumbled, wrapping your arms around his torso, “Love you.”

The heavy rain nearly drowned out his words as he whispered back, “Love you too. To the ends of the earth.”

He cared enough to not fight Gillion even despite the fact that he was angry as hell and Gillion was encouraging him and he cared enough to step up to his old friend and tell them ‘fuck no we’re not going to war!’ Becuase he cares about his friends and he doesn’t want them hurt!!!!!

2.) His name

His name is so stupid and dumb and omfg I love it. He literally got his name because he fucking said ‘chip’ instead of ship when he first met his dad. Like- bitch that’s so fucking stupid I’m making fun of him but also sobbing because that’s so cute and sweet!! And he so PROUD of his name! He could’ve changed it at any point and yet he kept it and he’s proud of it and he names all of his ships after it- and yeah sure most of the reason is probably because he’s just egotistical but fuck man it’s still cute

3.) Relationship with children

Okay listen now technically I’m pretty sure we only had one actual time chip has been with a kid and it’s Ollie (crewmage) but like mAn. God- he likes kids!!! He fucking loves em. He teaches Ollie how to prank people and his humor and he likes him and he sees HIMSELF in ollie! He’s basically replicating what he did with arlin (his dad) when he was still with his old crew and what the fuck if thag isn’t cute then what the fuck is??

4.) relationship with Jay

Listen they are like- truly just peak sibling entertainment. Chip is a genuine bastard sometimes and I think half of the time it’s to fuck with people and half of the time he’s fucking with people he’s fucking with jay. It’s just very funny, I like them.

5.) uHM I DONT RLLY HAVE ANYMORE CATAGORIES SO THIS IS RANDOM SHIT

Okay so he doesn’t like killing people- and idk! That’s just very cool and it tells a lot about him but idk how I’m not good at analyzing. But still! I think it’s very cool that in most situation chip refuses to kill people even when they are trying to kill him and / or have shown that they’re evil in some way. The only exception we’ve had tk this is when a goblin hurt Ollie very badly- which AGAIN another point for the ‘chip kill loves children’

  Satan

-He wasn’t afraid at all for his daughter  -during pregnancy, Satan read books about children (mainly human just in case) -He was confident but there will be times he needs your help since you are the mother  -He loves to read to her , it helps her sleep when he reads to her  -Your daughter also loves to  play with Satan’s tail when he’s in demon form  -He mainly doesn’t when your not around but you were lucky to snag a pick of him doing that with her (now you’re homescreen) -He in secret would try to teach her how to say Dada when the time comes  -And he succeed when she said “dada” when wanting him  -but shortly after she said “mama” but he was happy she wanted him first

-Not good at parenting but he tries  -He’s more of a “I must make my child fabulous “ parent while you mainly take care of her  -He loves to get outfits for his daughter like dresses, cute little onsies, etc  -He makes sure to by the best products (for babies) to make sure she stays super soft  -He swoons at her touch , cradling her and humming a melody  -Takes hundreds of selfies #beautifulprincessanddaddy -loves to try to get matching outfits for you guys for a matching family photo -sadly her first words were “mama” -he felt defeated but he still loves her more 

Beel

-Best dad ever to his twin sons  -As much as he’s gluttonous, He makes sure to properly take care of the twins  -He’s good at multi-tasking, so it was a breeze to eat and take care of them -He nicknames his sons “mustard and ketchup”  (mainly because of the color choice you gave them at birth) because of their personality  -Mustard is more hyper and active while ketchup is a little lazy (omg MC did birth another beel and belphie )  -Belphie is often there with him because he loves the twins , Ketchup loves uncle belphie and sleeps on him  -The twins favorite sleeping spot is on Beel’s chest , for being warm and soft , it felt nice when he purred for them  -Both of their first words were “dada”  -He was happy but felt a little bad for you 

Belphie

-He’s lazy but he tried and he was a good parent  -He had triplets , no one else had to right to complain about there children unless they have more then him  - He gets them little cow onsies , they had collars stitch to them and he made sure each had a different color  - “is this A Daddy cow and his herd?~ “ you’d tease  -”moooooo” he’d say and then the triplets would do the same and they’d continue to moo for a few minutes   “please don’t let this be a thing-” you feared while he chuckled -When you both got into teaching them mama or dada , one girl said “mama” , the other girl said “dada” but the youngest boy wouldn’t talk for a while  -WHen he tried to utter his words , you both got excited as he said “M-M...” -you smirked “He’s gonna say mam-” “Mooo” 

Diavolo

-He’s an ok dad, but sometimes makes dumb decisions - He wears a baby holder 24/7 , he’s proud to show off his son  -He’d spoil him so much , with toys, cloths , you name it  -On certain days , He’d take a day off just to spend time with you and your son , maybe have a picnic or go out somewhere fun , sometimes to the human world for places like chuck e cheese for your sons (and Diavolo)  -He would actually try the baby food first , if he didn’t like it , he wouldn’t feed it to his son but  you put a stop to that quickly , espeically since your son could have different taste then him  -He plans to have make Jr a special crown made from Silver and moonstone ,to match him  -When he gets to saying Mama or dada  -He says “mama”  -HE wasn’t mad but a little jealous 

Barbatos 

-Best father there is to his twin daughters -He careful watches their behavior and reaction to all sorts of things, like what they likes/ dislike, how they react to scary or nice situations  -His daughters are identical and look a little like him ,he can tell the difference easily but for others, Melody wears pale Yellow and Hera wears Lime  -During tea time with Diavolo , The girls have their own little chairs and and gives them their favorite cake  -Whenever he gets a day off, he just sits with you and your daughters all snugged in his arms , he just wants to enjoy your guys company for as long as he can  -Melody’s first word was Dada while Hera’s was “mama”  -so it was tie but Barbatos is still the better parent 

Solomon

-Not the worst but the not the best dad -His  daughter was fragile psychically , so he was a little overprotective  -He’d only let someone like you or Asmo go near here, anyone , you better stay 10 feet away or else  -He would try to teach her magic early on, with your permission , mostly basic magic like summoning or teleporting (which might be bad to teach-)  -He enjoys to have fun little trips to the park with you two (and prank people with magic )  -You and Solomon have a dare to see if she’ll say Mama or dada , loser has to wear whatever the winner picks  -He tried to teach her to say dada a lot of times , to better his chances  -but sadly they were for nothing and she ended up saying “mama”

Simeon(Plus Luke as a son)

-A little experienced before hand (with Luke) so he doesn’t have much of a problem -your daughter is very shy and quiet baby , so she doesn’t cry too often  -Luke loves to play with her and brags to other how cute his little sister is ) -Simeon sometimes wears a baby holder so that he can have her close  -He also likes to sing to her , whether to see or calm her down, he just loves to see her relax as he sings her a gentle melody  -Luke tries to make sweets for his sister and sadly she couldn’t eat most of them . he got sad but then looked up recipes safe for babies to eat  -Simeon would always offer to do everything for you , because you already suffered through the 9 months and all he could do was watch and calm you , so he feels he needs to  -When it came to her first words , it was a surprise  -”come on sweetie, say dada!” simeon tried  -”say mama!” you cheerfully said  -”....uke” -”huh?” -”uke! uke!” -She said Luke thecially and he couldn’t help but sob  (Hope you enjoyed!)

No I can't play any instruments unfortunately, I tried learning the violin in elementary school but quit because the strings hurt my fingers lmaoo if I ever do pick up an instrument I'd probably want to learn how to play piano or guitar. i would love to learn italian too. i think my problem is that growing up when i was in school, i didn't want to learn a language bc i was afraid of speaking it wrong in front of ppl that could speak it right. also i hated getting graded on whether or not i could understand the language. but now since i'm not in school anymore, maybe learning a language won't be too bad.

i never learned how to play an instrument until i got into my 20s. i self taught myself the ukuele, and i'm not the best but i'm pretty okay at it lol and i always wanted to learn the drums too, but there's just no place to really learn that and drumkits are so fucking expensive. i also wanted to learn to play the harp, but like idk where to even learn that either.

playhouse disney was my shit when i was younger. pb and j otter, rollie-pollie ollie, omg i used to love those shows ! when i got a bit older, i would say one of my favorite shows was probs suite life, hannah montana, or jonas/jonas la. but that's only bc i loved the jonas brothers lmao

yeah target is expensive, but they do have some cute stuff that isn't too bad. and the walmart in my area is fucking crazy too. i legit want to buy stuff from there but... not with all those ppl in it omg. the target near my house isn't too bad for groceries and whatnot, and i don't mind buying some stuff from there bc i know it will actually last decently long. i have a pair of jeans from there from like 3 years ago that are still going strong, which is a first since most jeans rip or get a hole in them.

interestingly enough, ketchup and mustard both kinda gross me out on their own, unless they are with specific stuff. ketchup is good with really terrible fries, and (spicy) mustard is good on hot dogs. and then both are good on burgers. regular mustard... that's gross to me and i'm not sure why.

i don't like salt and vinegar chips. i think the last time i tried them was when i was in elementary school, and they were so bitter to me. vinegar kinda makes me feel ill when i smell it, idk why. but maybe now since my smelling and tasting senses are all fucked up, maybe i should try them again.

i don't know how to drive actually, but i do plan to learn at some point in the near-ish future. my problem honestly is that i just have kinda bad anxiety and to top it off, i don't have enough money to afford a car or insurance so... yeah. but if i could drive, i would want a jeep. that's the dream car. the car my mom has is really nice, so i would drive that if i knew how to.

“Good afternoon”

“Hello there young man. How many?”

“Two, please” he responded. He glanced over at Ransom who was vibrating out of his skin. His eyes were huge, his lips pursed in concentration, and his back stretched to try and get a peek past the gates. He'd spent a month creating and refining a spreadsheet that “perfectly maximizes our animal exploration time.” Their itinerary he now clutched in his large hands. Holster couldn't help but smile at his boyfriend's excitement.

“That'll be 35.95” He handed the woman his credit card and turned towards Ransom again. When Holster had suggested this a month ago, it was before a bombardment of new customer meetings, budget realignments, new team member onboardings, and all manner of project delays and hiccups. He couldn't wait to get in the gates and put the month behind him. He smiled again as Ransom saddled up beside him.

The admissions lady passed Holster back his card and a receipt which he signed. She slid him two maps. Before he could grab them, Ransom had snatched one away and was ripping it open.

“Excited, aren't we?” the lady asked. Holster chuckled.

She began to speak again but startled a bit at Ransom's boisterous “Woo hoos” He had grabbed Holster's hand and was tugging him towards the gate.

“Well before you guys head in there, do you have any questions?”

“No I think we have everything covered. Thanks!” He let Ransom tug him about a foot.

“Have fun and welcome to Franklin Park Zoo.”

“Whats up next babe?” The first section they had gone through was the “Serengeti Crossing” where they had spotted porcupines, zebras, ostriches, and warthogs. They'd just finished the “Kalahari Kingdom” section where they got to see some lounging lions and a tiger that was bathing its cubs.

They had stopped to read every info graph and inscription by each animal, plus Ransom had shared some pretty sweet, and sometimes, sick facts about each animal they saw. Holster was endeared to Ransom when he realized that his partner had spent extra time on the zoo's website and online in general to learn facts about all the animals just to share with him. But he realized they were running about 15 minutes behind schedule and wasn't sure how Ransom would react once he realized.

Holster bit his tongue as he watched Ransom review the itinerary and then look at his watch.

“We are running behind, but that shouldn't matter much right? The plan was to be out of here before closing but if we stay til then... There wasn't something you needed to get home to do right?”

“No, nothing. I got my work done for the K&R project last night so I haven't anything to do tonight. Well except maybe you” He waggled his eyebrows at him.

Ransom laughed as color rose in his cheeks. “Well then...” he wiggled his eyebrows back at him. “Lets just stick to the plan of action, but not worry too much about the time.”

“Sounds good to me!” Ransom dropped Holster's hand and unfolded the map holding it against some siding.

“If we continue down this path, we should come to the Tropical Forest building. It's what's next on the list and it's inside so we can take a quick break to cool down and to reapply sunblock to your forehead.”

Holster guffawed “Its only been an hour and a half”

“Bro, and you're already lookin' like a lobster.”

Two hours later they sat at an empty pavilion table near the “Things Wild” gift shop, taking massive bites out of Bitty's PB&J sandwiches they had packed. Holster was thanking his stars for the forethought to pack 4 sandwiches instead of just two, and he was already daydreaming about the crock pot pork they had waiting for them at home when he looked over at Ransom who was scrolling through the SMH group chat.

They had now gone through the Tropical Forest, “Bird's World”, and the “Outback Trail”; seen what felt like hundreds of different animals; and took what felt like a million different photos. When they finally sat down for their late lunch, Ransom sent some of their better photos to the group.

Tango: Can we get an ocelot for the Haus? Its so cute!

Chowder: I agree with Tango! :D

Ollie: I also agree on the condition that its Haus trained

Wicks: Did you know that ancient Australian war lords kept trained emus in their armies?

Ford: I'm not sure you guys are cut out for taking care of an animal

Tango: C'mon!

Chowder: Aww :'[

Ollie: do you think a monkey could hang from our lights?

“You forgot the best one babe,” Holster brushed his hands over Ransom's and then quickly grabbed his phone.

“Hey!” Ransom laughed, and so did Holster. “Which one are you sending?”

“The one with us and the hippo!”

They had just walked into the Tropical Forest building when they came face to face with a smiling hippo. A group of school children were on the opposite side of the tank and tapping on the glass. Before the children could run up to the other side of the tank, Ransom and Holster had slid their backs against the wall, locked lips, and snapped a selfie with the hippo. Holster had thought the hippo looked like it was blowing a kiss of his own, but Ransom had cheerily admonished him for anthropomorphizing the hippo. When they had gotten to the side of the tank where the children had vacated, they found a plaque informing them that the hippos name was “Fred”. Holster held back a smug face, but winked at Ransom and his scrunched up nose.

When he sent the picture to the group chat the response was near instantaneous.

Chowder: CUTE!

Tango: OMG so adorable

Before heading off to the last three sections of the park, Ransom guided him into the gift shop. He perused the shelves of books, knickknacks, and stuffed animals. He found a pink stuffed hippo and immediately grabbed it from the shelf. He snuck up behind Ransom and rubbed the hippos face against his cheek. “Mwuah”

Ransom jumped but turned and laughed at him. “Oh stop it you... you...”

“Me...”

“Cutie hippo butt face!”

“That was lame bro.” Ransom's cheeks colored more and Holster leaned over to give him a smacking wet kiss himself.

Ransom laughed and wiped his cheek. “So are we getting that?” he said pointing at the hippo.

“Hell yeah! See anything you like?”

Ransom gestured to the stuffed lemurs in front of him. “Look at this.” He grabbed the arms of the lemur that were clasped together and separated them. When he let go they snapped back together. “Magnetic”

“Oh man, the frogs are gonna love that.”

They made it through the rest of the zoo in an hour and a half. They saw goats, butterflies, prairie dogs, and even some cute fuzzy red pandas. Holster grinned as he thought about Ransom's face as one of the zookeepers brought over a llama for them to pet. When Ransom had stroked the llamas hair his eyes had lit up like stars and his shoulders had relaxed. It was one of the few moments all month where Holster had seen Ransom relax.

He looked over at Ransom now. Took in his drowsy form, cuddling his new stuffed hippo. His eyes drifted closed ever so slowly, and reopened even slower. He doubted that he would make it home before falling asleep. It had been a long exciting day and they were both exhausted. Holster gently took one of Ransom's hands and laced their fingers together. “You had fun babe?”

“Yeah. Can't wait to get home and cuddle though.”

“Me too.” He smiled.
