I've always thought that Dalton and Wade got especially brutal deaths because of one simple fact: they messed around in Vincent's House of Wax. It's his domain, it's clear as crystal; it's his hunting ground, it's where he prepares and then displays the best of his trophies.

The House of Wax is his; Wade feigning to burn one of the sculptures was a genuinely asshole move (seriously, who the fuck sees someone else's hard work and starts melting it? Fucking ass) and earned him a place in the House of Wax; he mocked Vincent's work, so Vincent turned him into the very thing as a petty revenge.

Dalton, for his part, destroyed Vincent's latest project, tore the face off of his still cooling artwork and I don't know about you, but if I spend hours making something and then someone deliberately started messing with it, I'd be more than slightly murderous too.

(Though, in Dalton's defence, if I looked up and saw Vincent looming over me like that, I'd lose my head and squirt all over the floor too - I get it, dude).

All this to say... Vincent went apeshit on these two kids because they messed around in his domain. He's possessive, obsessive, deeply passionate and always in control of what he's doing. When Vincent puts his mind to something, he is ruthless and there's absolutely no stopping him.

So now imagine what he'd do, the acts of sheer depravity he'd perform, if his beloved got harmed? He'd be so vicious, so genuinely unhinged, that when Bo later sees what happened to the people he sent Vincent's way, the remains of the bodies would have him stomping outside to throw up in Lester's rose bushes, and even Lester would have to literally scrape them up off the floor with whatever gardening implement he can find. A shovel, maybe. A bucket of water to sluice them away would also work.

There's roadkill, there's roadkill, and then there's... whatever the fuck Vincent did to these people.

There's blood dripping off his twin blades, his overalls are caked in it, he's squelching somewhat in his worn boots as he walks, there's viscera splattered across the wax floor, and somehow there's blood on the ceiling... you know not to ask. But Bo's an interesting shade of porcelain you've never seen before, and even Lester can hardly bear to look.

And you? You're off to the side nursing your injury; nothing life-threatening, and later on you'll be joking with Bo, "'tis but a scratch", but Vincent's reaction has you feeling more than a little loved. Safe, protected, cherished, by the most relentless and brutal of the three Sinclair brothers.

I don’t know if someone headcanoned this before but im curious… Headcanons about Itachi’s s/o feeling sad bc they think they are like Izumi’s substitute (in the Itachi novel he said that he couldn’t correspond her love but this was the closest to an Itachi’s love interest)

I've said this before, but I do imagine Itachi with someone who is was born and raised somewhere remote and far away from Konoha. Most likely they did not knew anything about him, his clan or the massacre prior him telling them.

In this case, it would be Itachi that would share with them that there was once a girl in Konoha, with whom he was close. He won't go into a lot of details, thus leaving his partner to fill the blanks with their own imagination.

It's quite easy to get the impression that their relationship was more serious than he tried to portray it, especially when he explained how he put her into a genjutsu, giving her a sense of long and happy life by his side.

The initial reaction of his s/o is to embrace him or rub soothing circles on his back, comforting him and thanking him for sharing something so intimate with them.

But as the days passed, they started to think more about what Itachi has said about Izumi.

What exactly was their relationship? Did he love her? Would've they been together if the massacre didn't happen? Did he still thought about her? Was his s/o just some kind of rebound?

His s/o would start overthinking and overanalysing, but won't say anything to the Uchiha man. Deep down they would feel embarrassed by all these thoughts - it concerned his life before he met them and this girl has been dead for years now. If anything, it shouldn't bother them at all.

But it did. A LOT.

Now, at this point Itachi would've known his partner for quite a while, so he will immediately pick up the small changes in their behaviour.

He would probably wait a few days up to a week, just to see if they are going to tell him what is bothering them. When they don't do that, he would sit them down and confront them himself.

He is an extremely smart and calculating man, so he already had an idea why his s/o was behaving strangely, especially since this change happened after he opened up to them.

His partner would initially deny something was up, but after a bit more pushing from Itachi's side, they would finally vocalise their thoughts about how they are nothing more but a replacement for Izumi.

The man listens quietly, only nodding his head from time to time and mentally scolding himself for even letting such thoughts get to his s/o head.

After his partner finish their little rant (I would imagine that at this point they are quite upset, spilling all the doubts and worries that have been torturing their mind for weeks.), he would gently take their hand and lay a small kiss on the back of it.

He calmly explains to them that while Izumi did indeed had feelings for him, he never seen her in a romantic light. The genjutsu he used on her is an image of how her dream life looked, not how he imagined his. He gave her mercy, not love.

His s/o would seek some final validation for his feelings toward them, which he would gladly provide in the form of both verbal and physical affection.

However, if his partner remains somewhat unconvinced, he would get hurt and offended. Has he not shown many times that he loves them and only them?

He is also not the type to discuss the same topic over and over again, so he expects that one time clarification is enough. If their partner decided to bring it up again in the future, he would probably be a bit annoyed.

Itachi would always remain open and honest with his s/o, but since that "slip up" he would definitely take more care about how he word his thoughts.

“i’m sorry, i didn’t mean to intrude, i just wanted to say hi,” she smiles. “your music means a lot to me. it’s really helped me though a lot of tough times, so i wanted to thank you.” 

“oh, thank you so much,” you smile. chishiya keeps a careful watch on you as you step forwards to let the girl hesitantly hug you. the blush on her face makes you chuckle. “i’m glad my work has been able to help you so much.” 

she smiles, pulling out a piece of paper and a pen. “i know we can’t take a picture, but can i have your autograph?” 

“of course!” you quickly scribble down your name onto the paper before handing it back to her. 

“thank you so much,” she bows again. “it was great meeting you!” 

“you too,” you smile. 

chishiya gently squeezes your hand from across the table. he chuckles when you look back up at him. “that went really well.” 

“it did! i wasn’t expecting anyone to recognize me.” 

“you should get used to it,” he laughs. “you can only grow from here.”

arisu laughs, leaning back against the wall as he waits for you. he can feel the bass from the speakers rattle against his chest. the feeling is exhilarating. 

“thank you so much for tonight,” your voice is clear through the microphone. he can hear fans cheering, even from backstage. “i love you all!” 

“ah, i’m nervous,” chota says, standing closer to karube. “i’ve never been so close to a celebrity before.” 

“don’t be,” arisu pats his shoulder. “just act natural, they’ll love you.” 

despite the reassurance, arisu can feel chota tensing as soon as you make your way backstage. “arisu!” you smile when you see him, rushing over to where he stands. he’s quick to wrap his arms around your waist, pulling you into a tight hug. “it’s so good to see you.” 

arisu presses a kiss against your forehead, wrapping an arm around your waist before turning back to chota and karube. he laughs as they stare at him in shock. “y/n, this is karube, and chota,” he says, gesturing to each man. “guys, this is my partner, y/n.” 

karube is the first to react, giving a respectful bow before holding his hand out. “karube daikichi,” he smiles. “it’s nice to meet you.” 

you take his hand, nodding. chota is quick to follow, greeting you despite the blush on his cheeks. “chota segawa.” 

“i’ve heard so much about you guys, it’s great to finally meet you!” arisu presses a kiss against your temple, unable to hide his excitement as he watches the love of his life interacting with his best friends.

the camera pans over to her, now showing her on the big screen instead of you. she covers her face, a little embarrassed. you laugh even harder when you turn around and notice the dark blush on her cheeks. “my girlfriend is here,” you say into the microphone. “hi darling.” kuina waves her hand over her head, smiling. “can i bring her on stage?” 

you look over at the crew, kneeling down to the edge. one of the security guards makes his way over to kuina, gesturing for her to step out of the crowd and move closer to the edge. you set your microphone aside, reaching your hand down to help her up onto the stage. her blush deepens when you wrap your arms around her waist, pulling her to the center. “thank you for coming,” you whisper into her neck. she wraps her arms around your neck, pressing a kiss against your cheek. 

“i wouldn’t miss this for the world.” 

you smile, pulling back to pull her into a sweet kiss. “i love you.”

♥ He isn't a stickler about your interests. A good thing about being with him is that he won't make fun of you for anything you enjoy, no matter if he enjoys it himself or not. He'll never ask you to turn a movie off or to stop talking about something. ♥ ^ Yeah and don't touch his stuff because he is very protective of his collections. Therefore, he'd also never mess with something you own.

♥ If you're the type of person to have stuffed animals, and especially make them talk, he isn't going to pick up on that very quickly as means of a thing people still do. He'll give a history lesson as to 'ah yes, i've learned about this form of imagination within cultures of story telling, oral adventures'.

♥ Most of the time, he'll put your comfort over his.

♥ He'll stay up with you whenever you have trouble sleeping and are fully awake at 2am, no matter the cost. He is going to make sure that you know he is always there for you. He always has things to do.

♥ If you need help falling asleep, he'll do things like sing to you and let you watch videos in bed, whatever will make you most comfortable.

Law ㅡ as a man who has his own interests in comics and coin collecting, I feel like Law sees your interest in the game as cute, especially when he watches your eyes light up as you talk about them to him. It's a two-way street to him because he's spent many a night explaining Sora to you, so seeing you so invested is endearing to him. As far as jealousy goes, I can see it being more of a teasing point for him of "do I need to be more like that character?" and then watching you scramble to reassure him that no, he's the only one for you ㅡ he knows, but your adamant reassurance makes him feel good.

Rhysand ㅡ Rhys absolutely has the time of his life teasing you about it. He'll quote dialogue lines to you, watching your cheeks color and cooing about how cute you are when you're flustered ㅡ the man is a menace, truly. He really isn't genuinely jealous, but he'll make a show of it because he also thinks it's funny to rile you up ㅡ can he help it if you snapping "quit being a menace, Rhysand" has desire sparking in his veins? He tugs your console out of your hand and settles over you, violet eyes bright against the expanding dark of his pupils as he leans in. "Darling," he purrs, "I haven't even begun to be a menace with you."

Azriel ㅡ probably the one your attention shift bothers the most ㅡ it's cute at first, but that little flicker of self-doubt gnaws on him when he hears you gush about the characters, even though he knows they're not real. He thinks it's dumb that it's upsetting him so much, but you're so in tune with him that you pick up on it ㅡ and you gently reassure him that there's absolutely no way that you would ever choose one of them over him. If you tease him gently about sulking, he denies it (but he absolutely was).

Pizza Tower, huh? I don’t know anything about it, but the characters seem really cool. I like that The Noise character is based of the Domino’s Noid. The Noid is a big favorite, so it made me smile when I found out about this. Still don’t know much about Fake Peppino though. Would you mind telling me more about him?

I think The Noise is very scrunkly, I've seen images bout Domino's Noid but other than that I have,, no idea anything about the creacher (my first reaction to him was O H... WH...WHAT IS THAT... B E A S T?)

Who are some of your favorite male yanderes? Personally I like Domotoris Yuki character and Kylar from dol

I actually did make a list here about the type of yanderes I like, but I do have a couple more since it's been a while, haha.

Liev from Pulsato Cordis - I'm not sure exactly why I like him, but I think it's because he's both a reluctant yandere and is afraid of scaring the MC (in one part he ends up panicking if you call him a monster). Plus he has cute reactions if you pay for his meal. Overall, I like the relationship built up between him and Quinn.

Lake from Forever Yours - I mean technically it's not out yet, but @dei-os is in the process of making it and I do love my pathetic crying yandere guys. I honestly don't see the crybaby type a lot a lot (I think the closest one that I've seen is like maybe Trick or Kiss or maybe Yeonho from Nameless before his redemption arc) so seeing him and his personality makes me immediately like him.

Yuuto/Oliver/Odin from @tsukaramachi - currently she hasn't really been active (I'm assuming university is taking up her time), but I really do like her Ocs and general art style. Yuuto for obvious reasons is the poster child, he's pretty sweet and tries to become the person the s/o likes (which I always like). Oliver is a crybaby so I mean, no surprises there and Odin is a weird drooly dogboy and he's cute too.

Xie Yun from Pestered by the Yandere Once Again - Future Recommendation, but I did like reading this one even if the main female lead kinda gets away with most things? The yandere in this one is like a puppy dog and the main female lead is pretty cool. The plot is kinda confusing though, but listen... he's cute.

Taiyou/Tsukita from StalkerxStalker - It's more of a comedy based one, but I still think it's really cute. The bigger buffer guy is more of the softy in this one while the smaller cuter one is the scarier one. It hasn't been translated in a while though, so that's unfortunate.

Akira from How to Train your Handsome but Overbearing Boyfriend- I always forget about this one, but when I watch it, I remember how much I love it. I keep watching it over and over again for no reason, but the relationship is cute. I just like cute things okay.

Abyss from Kiss the Abyss - This is more in the idea that I like the entire thing and not necessarily just Abyss, but since I love the Killing Game genre so much, this one was really fun to read. It's really well written and fun to read through. Plus, I think the dynamic between Abyss and Prince is really balanced, which is rare in a lot of BL style stories, if I'm honest.

Kirihara Kan from There is a Lie in My Contract Marriage - I actually don't like the yandere in this one, but the story is really interesting and kept me on my toes. Plus, the artstyle is pretty nice too.

Amane Ryugen from My Perverted Stalker - ystrike might not like it, but dang it, I did! I mean aside from the kinda sus stuff that happens and how quickly conflicts are resolved, I actually do like the relationship between Amane and Rindo. Amane isn't too extreme of a yandere but he has enough to warrant being one. Future Recommendation.

The Mermaid from What's Your name - Future Recommendation. I can't really tell the name of the mermaid because that kind of defeats the purpose of the game, but I really did like his route. His attitude about things was really cute and innocent (being afraid that he got her pregnant just by touching her was really funny) while also being dangerous in many ways. I think the MCs for each route are pretty unique as well.

if you can't tell, I have a... type and usually, it's a mix of can I coddle this yandere and/or break them because there's no in-between. It kind of makes it hard to find the type of yanderes I like, but that's alright, I think it's good to experience different things.

Oh, I too, also love Kylar a lot. He fits into that category after all and plus, I think his interactions are really cute. And his dismissal event... well, that one is pretty good too. Now if only I could top him...

🐈‍⬛Let’s continue where we stopped. With you as the new servant in the Phantomhive manor. Since the first day the s/o entered Sebastian wasn’t able to stop thinking about them. Their scent and their cat like behavior made Sebastian feel a tingling sensation whenever he was near them or even catched a small hint of the darling’s scent. What was wrong with him? Whenever the s/o passed him he had a hard time to not stop doing whatever he was doing and watch their graceful movements.

🐈‍⬛Very soon he noticed how much cat like the s/o really was. Whenever there was a rat or a mouse in the mansion they would have this exciting glint in their eyes, slowly sneaking up to the small animal, waiting for the right moment and then jumping nearly lightning fast at them. He absolutely adored their satisfied face when the little thing was squirming under their hands. Another thing that was very pleasing to him as well was that you purred when being petted. It was more of a coincidence that he had found that out. At that time you had finished a more complicated past and Sebastian had petted your head for whatever reason, but when you had suddenly started to purr he had stopped for a moment and had given you a surprised look. You on the other hand had started to blush like crazy and had quickly excused yourself. After that incident Sebastian started to pet your head more often just to hear that gorgeous sound again.

🐈‍⬛But at some point he started to get suspicious. The s/o was somehow just too much like a cat, not that he didn’t like that, no he absolutely adored it, but he had realized that some things about them weren’t normal. Their senses were way to high for a normal human and whenever they went out they would attract cats like a magnet. He had also noticed that they seemed to understand the cats, answering all of this lovely creatures with meows and chirps. The other servants had also informed him that the s/o left the manor always at night, telling them that they would go on a walk. So Sebastian decides to watch them at night, hoping to find out their secret like this.

🐈‍⬛He followed you quietly outside the mansion, watching from a safe distance and the next thing that he witnessed thrilled him! One moment the s/o was standing there and in the next moment they suddenly disappeared and instead of them a beautiful looking cat stood there. For a moment Sebastian was too shocked to do anything before he completely lost it. He didn’t even try to hold back and just stormed towards the cat, immediately kneeling down, petting and stroking this pretty creature. He didn’t let go of them for the rest of the night, busily cuddling and showering them in affection. And let’s be honest, you enjoyed it as well, he could tell from all the purring.

🐈‍⬛After that he questioned the s/o about it, having figured out that they weren’t a normal human. The s/o, seeing no point in hiding it, told him truthfully that they were a cat hybrid, being able to understand and talk the language of cats and being able to transform into a cat themself.

🐈‍⬛Whatever adoration Sebastian had hold for you beforehand increased a hundred times after hearing this. You’re able to transform into a cat?!?! That’s fantastic!! Now this guy is hooked up on you. He was completely enamored with the s/o after that.

🐈‍⬛After that Sebastian would almost provoke the s/o to see more of their cat behavior. He would sometimes bring rats and noises into the manor to see them hunting the thing down and to see their proud face when catching it. He would sometimes place things that the s/o needed at higher places just to see their agile and elegant movements when they climbed up to get it. He would pet them even more often than before, wanting to hear the s/o’s purring. Sometimes he would even chirp at the s/o when they were busily working on something and would have a huge grin on his face when they would meow back unconsciously. This man would tease the hell out of you after that, making you blush in embarrassment.

🐈‍⬛And of course this guy wanted to cuddle you in your cat form! Whenever you went outside for some alone time in your cat form this guy would suddenly storm towards you out of nowhere and nearly suffocate you in affection. Stroking your fur softly and playing with those cute little limbs of yours whilst making you into a purring mess. The s/o really tried their hardest to not enjoy this, knowing that this was humiliating and degrading in every sense, but damn this man knew what he was doing!!

🐈‍⬛But you don’t really expect the s/o to just take all of this without getting a little revenge, do you? The s/o can be very mischievous and cunning when they want to and ohh, they wanted to pay Sebastian back for all of that. They were well aware of the fact that Sebastian was adoring them with every inch of his body and decided to show him something that they hadn’t shown him yet. They giggled insidiously when imagining Sebastian’s reaction to this.

🐈‍⬛Soon after you put your plan into action. That day Sebastian had followed you once again late at night, waiting for his chance to pamper you in affection once again, but he didn’t expect this!!! You were already waiting for him, sitting on the ground with cat eyes, a cat tail and cat ears!! You hadn’t told him back then that you were also able to only transform some of your human form into a cat. You grinned when you saw Sebastian’s shocked expression and walked slowly over to him, asking with an innocent expression on your face what was wrong?

🐈‍⬛Sebastian’s brain stopped working and he flinched when you slowly started to trail his jawline with your claws, tickling him slightly with your tail and purring seductively at him. He felt weak in his knees, but was still to shocked to do anything. You hadn’t told him this! God knows for how long you teased the living hell out of him, taking your pleasure in seeing how his breath hitched every time in his throat when you tickled him with your tail or trailed your claws over his face and body.

🐈‍⬛After you were satisfied with your revenge you purred a short goodbye in his ear and left him, not missing the chance to slap Sebastian teasingly with your tail in his face. You quickly jumped back to the manor feeling a deep feeling of satisfaction inside of you, leaving a nearly drooling Sebastian back.

🐈‍⬛If you would have turned around you could have probably seen Sebastian’s burning gaze on you, his eyes turning pink. He was, to say it clearly, a mess. He was panting heavily and his whole body was shacking. He felt a burning want flowing through every part of his body, his mind clouded with imagines of your half cat form, still feeling your fingers and your tail on his skin. He was never really attracted to cats in such a way, but in that very moment that changed. He growled lowly, feeling highly frustrated. Why couldn’t he do anything? Why did he just stand there frozen whilst letting you treat him like this? Ohh, what should he do with you right now after this?~

Ermac

- They all share the same body and love for a single person, the one who is able to catch Ermac many attentions is more than worthy of applauses. Ermac acts overprotective around their loved one, floating around like a ghost and silently watching over them.

- When their beloved falls in danger they’re the first to come for rescue, all the souls became fearful that something bad may happen to their S/O which means they must act together for it

- Ermac feels like if they failed towards their one true love, they are not concerned about what happened but about what can be done now. Immediately takes their S/O in their arms and flies away from the conflict, taking them to a healer while using their own magic to try helping them out himself if there is no healer avaliable

- After their S/O recovers from their wounds, Ermac tells them that they feel unworthy of their love if not even able to protect their S/O from harm, any kind of injurie that comes upon their beloved hurts even more at them.

Frost

- Having Frost in love is a hard thing but when it happens she won’t let anyone hurt her beloved, the ice queen promises to take care of them and even offers to serve as a scout if she feels there is danger coming for her S/O.

- When her beloved falls in danger her first thought is of slaughtering anyone who dares laying their hands at her S/O, she goes on rampage and kills all who hurted her loved one. She can’t help but feel anxious with the thought of losing someone she cares deeply.

Kollector gifts them with everything he thinks that may be useful, from trinkets to magic amulets and sharp daggers, he wants his beloved to be able to defend themselves when he’s not around

- When his beloved falls in danger he will not only kill anyone who dared to hurt them but also have their heads as a trophy. Kollector catches his S/O and has no time for thinking, he will use all the magic artifacts he has to try making them stable. Afterwards he takes them to the best medic that money can afford, leaving jewels and flowers at the side of his S/O bed while they’re in a deep sleep of recovery

- He feels useless to have let his most precious treasure fall in the wrong hands, will do anything to repay for what he believes to be his fault. He starts thinking of ways to keep his S/O safe and searchs about every kind of artefact that allows people to comunicate when in danger, that’s when he discovers the Earthrealm most powerful trinket; the cellphone

- After his loved one recovers he gaves them all the kind of gifts possible, takes them out for having their favorite foods and keeps asking if everything is okay, he will need a lot of self-reassurement after the incident to be able to forgive himself, Kollector becomes more clingy around his S/O because he fears to lose them and never wants to feel that terrible angsty of seeing them hurted again

Quan Chi

- The necromancer heart is a cold and rotten place, pretty much like his servants. But when someone is able to make it beat again it shall beat like the drum of drums, the one who makes his soul smile again is worthy of all the protection in the underworld. That’s why he gifts his S/O with an amulet to call them when in danger and have their location, not only because he’s kind of a jealous guy.

- When his beloved falls in danger he calls all the legions of the dead to go search for them, bringing his S/O to the Netherrealm extremely injured makes him want to cry but he holds it back. Quan Chi is not worried about death because he can always bring them back, but he’s worried about the pain his loved one is feeling and wants it to stop, the experience of death is not pleasant neither and he doesn’t want them to suffer it, he shall then use magic to heal them

- Quan Chi feels like something died inside of him, was him destined to be alone for all eternity? Death indeed followed his steps and the ones from his beloved too, he would never move on if his S/O died forever, he would never want them as mindless revenants or servants, he doesn’t want that light that shines in their eyes full of life to disappear

- After his S/O recovers he assures them that such thing will never happen again, promising to keep them safe and well. He creates a skeleton fighter that is inside a beautiful garnet ring, the minion may be summoned by his S/O when in danger and that makes Quan Chi more calm about their well being

Shinnok

- The fallen elder god should not allow his broken heart to guide his actions, but it has always been an issue to him. Falling in love means putting someone needs above yours and to him it’s not different, he wants his S/O to be happy even if it means he has to give up some of his plans. Gods love are much more deep and passionate than any mortal could ever imagine, their love is eternal and true to the core.

- When his beloved falls in danger he allows all the anger inside him to avenge them, by ripping off the souls of those who dared to hurt them and channeling it in a endless dismal suffering through all eternity as punishment. Shinnok shall gather his S/O in his cold deathly embrace and release them from the frail mortality, granting them eternal life at his side so that they shall nevermore be in pain

- Shinnok feels guilty to have condemned his beloved to eternity, but he knows that in the end it’s the best option and that they will understand him after all, he has a lot of plans for his S/O and wants them to be happy forever with him

- After his S/O awakes he has a lot to explain and tells them that it was his only choice left, he could not allow them to continue in such pathetic existence that risked their well being, no matter the reaction that his beloved has about it he will keep them at Netherrealm and only allow them to go when he’s sure they are able to defend themselves from all and every danger, but it would break his dark heart to have his S/O angered with his decision 

Kronika

- The keeper of time never believed at the possibility of falling in love, but when she does so she brings all the versions from her beloved to her side, from past to future she shall have them all collected and merged into one perfect being, the only one worth of her love and adoration, which she becames more than overprotective about

- She has forseen that her S/O would be in danger and terrible injured in many timelines, she was tired of seeing them being tortured by pain through history and decided that the best option was to erase those who dared to hurt them, this way they would never have the chance to do it no matter the situation.

- By vanishing the existence of those who harmed her S/O, they are finally safe but not forever and she knows it, Kronika gaves immense power to her beloved being able to fight against anyone who could harm them, she’s the ultimate being and doesn’t measure efforts for protecting her one true love

- Kronika feels personally attacked by anyone who hurts her S/O, their enemies are her enemies too and so shall be until the end of the times. If her S/O is fond of revenge she will put their enemies in an eternal death loop so that they pay for their actions through eternity

- The avatar of virtue discovers her biggest flaw at her new found most precious feeling; love. By giving her heart to a mortal she allows herself to be vulnerable but accepts it as a small price for being at the side of her beloved. Premise: You know what is an underrated and interesting Anidala moment? It's the moment during ”Hostage Crisis” when Anakin wakes up, asks Padmé why she looks sad, and tries to caress her face, only for Padmé to gently pull down his hand because they kind of have an audience. It always got me wondering what would have happened if he had been zapped just a little harder earlier, woken up a little more lightheaded, and if the whole thing had been written by someone who just wanted to have some fun.

Anakin Skywalker was used to waking up to a great variety of sights and sounds. The pale light peeking from between the blinds in his temple quarters, Ahsoka tapping on the door, whispering with an awkward chuckle, ”Masterrr… theyre waiting...” Flashes of faraway explosions, Rex's faraway voice, calling, ”You alright there, General?” Five different brands of needles, pointed directly at him, a droid with glowing red eyes spouting tired threats and demands into his ear. He'd seen it all, a million times, rinse and repeat. And in the end, they all meant the same thing: it was time to get up and fight. Some more.

”Ani… wake up.”

Indeed, it was a rare luxury to instead wake up to the otherwordly vision that was Padmé Amidala: his wife, his heart. Far away from the battlefield… home. She always meant home. Home was the sight of her angelically beautiful face, the sound of her soft, soothing voice. Home was the sight of her large, mesmeric eyes like amber kyber crystals, the ring of her bell-like laught…

Wait, that wasn't right. What was she looking so sad about? Ever the worrier… Anakin grinned dreamily to himself. He knew just the thing to put a smile on those stress-tightened lips, still the most exquisite in the galaxy. Oh boy, did he ever know the thing.

He gently lifted up a hand (which felt oddly heavy), which she just as gently tried to take in hers – sweet, but he had other plans. Softly yet firmly he planted the hand on the nape of her neck, pulling her into a passionate, if very dizzy kiss. Deep and full and perfect.

For maybe half a second.

”A-Anakin!” he half-heard, half-felt her mumble into his mouth. And that was not the only thing he heard: the other sounded suspiciously like about half a dozen senators, gasping in unison before starting to exchange sharp whispers. But that didn't feel right either.

Anakin jolted to sit up, still barely registering the background chatter. The world was spinning, and Padmé seemed oddly out of sorts, now fidgeting and covering her mouth with her sleeve. Anakin instinctively offered a comforting hand, before looking down on his strangely leaden wrists, and finding them to be cuffed together.

”Wait, did we…” Anakin still struggled to make sense of the situation or indeed or the room altogether, but quickly found he had strong opinions about it. He held out his bound wrists accusingly. ”Why is it always me, Padmé?”

His wife's perfect features were starting to gain more definition, and her expression was a whole lot more on the side of ”mortified” instead of ”playful”. Had it not been good for her? Of course it wasn't, they were on the floor. When had she ever liked it on the floor, he reprimanded himself, not completely sure if he was saying this out loud or not.  

”They zapped you again, didn't they?” she guessed, sounding testy with a trace of worry. ”Look around, An-- General Skywalker. Do you remember what happened?”

Suddenly, as though struck by lightning – again – he did.

And around did Anakin look, now finally in possession of his full Force-heightened vision and hearing. What had sounded like half a dozen murmuring senators a minute ago indeed turned out to be half a dozen murmuring senators, each observing the pair with varying reactions, and each in varying stages of reacting. Senator Robb had her mouth open, looking curious and embarrassed about it, like she couldn't decide whether she was looking at something scandalous or romantic. Senator Roohd was pretty firmly settled on "scandalous", Senator Chuchi (whose lap he had apparently mistaken for one of those sand-filled pillows Padmé for some reason favored) was clapping her hands together, clearly decided on "romantic". Senator Organa seemed to have gotten past the initial surprise and was now carefully arranging his face into a half neutral, half appropriately uncomfortable expression. A slight twitch in his eyebrow also seemed to indicate a readiness to forcibly separate the two at the slightest signal from Padmé, an inclination no doubt shared by Senator Farr.  

”The… the hostages!” Anakin cried. ”Cad Bane!” He gestured to Padmé to help him stand, which she did, if a little half-heartedly, and apparently far more interested in the floor.

”That is correct, Master Jedi,” Senator Paulness said. ”But by all means...” He waved a hand at the two of them, apparently encouraging them to finish any unfinished conversation. ”We'll wait.”

”Well, waiting really isn't the best idea,” Anakin stated simply, before his wife could start protesting. He shot an apologetic look at Padmé, who returned a forgiving one. They'd have to sort this out later. ”My lightsaber…” he quickly added, reaching with his bound hands to an empty belt.

Padmé sighed, beet red in the face as she delved into her sleeve and produced a long, heavy… suddenly very suggestively shaped instrument.  

”You… you dropped it, Master Jedi,” she spluttered, holding out the weapon, waiting for Anakin to take it.

”Oh, he dropped his lightsaber on you alright,” murmured an unfamiliar senator in the back, who to Padmé, judging by the look on her face, was not quite so unfamiliar. Stifled chuckles were heard.

Anakin wiggled his still-restrained wrists at Padmé, indicating that he needed someone else to hold and, uh, ignite his lightsaber. Yeah…

”Padm… Senator Amidala, um… please.”

More chuckles were heard, less effort made to stifle them, more amicable work relationships compromised.

Having walked from the explosion unscatled, the cluster of shaken senators shuffled along the long corridors of the inconveniently massive Semate building (which seemed to have been evacuated of all non-hostage personnel), making their way to safety and fresh air. After his daring rescue of the politicians, Anakin had been summoned outside by his comlink and been obliged to abandon his slower but apparently now safe companions.

”Uh, Padmé,” Bail Organa began awkwardly as he placed a gentle, almost fatherly hand on her shoulder. ”I know we just survived a very dangerous situation, and the obviously lacking safety measures in this building warrant a whole discussion of their own… but we need to talk about what happened back there with General Skywalker.”

”Oh,” Padmé uttered, making a small nod, ”O-oh course.”

”Is he… bothering you?”

”Oh, um, no…”  

”Of course, I respect him. And I know he's a Jedi, so I know he'd… ” Bail stopped to think for a moment. ”Actually, I don't know. Would he be expelled from the order or get away with a fine? The Jedi can be very confusing sometimes.”

”Oh, you're telling me...” Padmé began to keenly agree, before catching herself. ”That is to say…  yes. So confusing… wait, slow down, a fine? For what offense?”

”Uh, harassment,” Bail stated plainly, looking concerned. ”Technically, what he did would qualify as…”

”No, no no, no,” Padmé protested. ”No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.” She let out a sharp laughter.

”Wait, are you two…”

”No!”

”Then…”

Bail raised an eyebrow, evidently not at all happy with the very single-track turn this conversation was taking. Still, he ventured one last guess.

”What are the kids calling it these days… friends with--”

”No!” Padmé stopped in her tracks, intending to let all the other senators walk past them, but they all froze in place instead. It was not until Padmé shot them an icy look that they set off again, disgruntled.

”Padmé, it's me,” Bail reminder her warmly. ”You can tell me.”

Padmé knew she could. But that wasn't just her decision to make. She just wished part of that decision had not already been made by her electro-compromised, groggy and confused secret husband.

”He was confused,” she explained, quickly latching onto one of her mental keywords. ”Those electro-shocks are getting to his brain. He probably thought he was kissing… Artoo. He just loves that droid. Last week, he--”

”Padmé…”

”And I've been confused,” she quickly added, desperately and probably tardily trying to figure out a way to make Anakin sound like less a harasser and more a… she didn't like what the opposite of a harasser was. ”I've… flirted him. Mercilessly. Have you seen some of my dresses? I've given him… signals. Inappropriately long hugs…”

”Oh, we know that,” Bail interrupted her, although he immediately seemed to regret this spontaneous confession. Padmé gaped at him for a moment.  

”And so has Artoo, by the way,” she then insisted.

By the time Senators Amidala and Organa reached the Senate courtyard, they had successfully established that 1. it was just a kiss, 2. the kiss had not necessarily been disagreeable, out of the left field, or even meant for Padmé in the first place.

”Or some combination of the three,” she added off-handedly as she hurried to join Anakin, Threepio, the suddenly materialized matching set of Obi-Wan and Ahsoka, and a pair of her least favorite senators at the top of the stairs, currently being interviewed by a swarm of HoloNet reporters. Surely they were discussing the hostage situation, the forced liberation of Ziro the Hutt, heck, General Skywalker's rescue of them, even…  

”Ah, and here comes the lucky lady… or unlucky? We'll have to wait for comment--”

Great. Ever the media. The blabber turned out to be Threepio, whom she had completely forgotten was even there. Of course the protocol droid would give a completely accurate, detailed, yet rambly and unfocused recount of the attack. Which simply had to include what was effectively a harmless drunken mistake in the middle of an actual emergency.

Yet, even without the Force, she was already sensing a shift in the conversation.  

”For the last time, I was barely conscious, brain fried, I thought it was my… uh, droid… whom I needed to clean… in a specific spot… stupid oil leaks… I apologized to Senator Amidala many times over before I was summoned here!”

The reporters were starting to look bored. They were also starting to pick up on the seriousness of the circumstances surrounding the undeniably juicy bit of gossip they had on their hands. The two senators had turned to a serious news outlet, giving teary-eyes statements regarding their terrifying experience and last-minute rescue. The trauma of it all was starting to kick in. They were nearly killed by a bomb, and this stupid war was only getting longer and uglier, what did it even matter if Skywalker had unorthodox methods of cleaning his astromech?

And even without the Force, Padmé could have sworn that Obi-Wan wasn't shooting accusing glances at his former Padawan for hiding something, or for lying about it, but instead… for having been careless. And Ahsoka was just shaking her head, with frustration and fondness. There was not a trace of surprise on her face, or for that matter, a hint of concern for Padmé's personal space or her ability to defend it. And apparently Bail was only surprised that Skywalker was responding so eagerly to Padmé's ”merciless flirting”.

Wait, did everybody already…

”So it really was…” one of the reporters still wanted to confirm.

”Such a kiss!”

”Just a bliss!”

(1/11)Oh my gosh yesss I'm glad that you like long messages too because I talk way too much 😂 (And yeah about my friend and just hanging out w/ her more that's exactly what I was thinking 😂) It's actually kind of funny bc just yesterday I was hanging out at her house and her younger brother needed to go to Walmart and I was like 'I've been meaning to go to Walmart, I'll take you' and ofc since I have a bluetooth radio adapter the whole drive I had my Spotify going with some quality k-bops, lol

2)And as we were driving I noticed him kind of jamming and I was like 'Oh my god Mickey do you actually like this???' And he was Like 'yeah, these are some good bops 👍' I was shooketh. I had to go home before I had the chance to show him any music videos but he says he's open to watching some with me next time I see him. One way or another I'm going to turn someone in my social circle into a kpop fan you mark my words ☝ and then maybe we can team up and try to work on his sister some more 😂

3)I only started first getting into kpop last June so I'm still very new, but it's definitely super frustrating how so many ppl act like it's an inherently bad or cringey genre of music just bc it's kpop! The stigma is ridiculous! I also started out with BTS (lol) and since they're pretty popular in the US at least I was able to be like 'See, this isn't just a niche thing, lots of people know abt and like this group' but of course my dad still says 'Just cause it's popular doesn't make it good'

4)And I'm like? You're a band teacher, you of all people should understand that music doesn't have to be in your native language (or even have lyrics) in order for you to enjoy it, but go off I guess... It's the same with one of my college friends. They make fun of me for liking kpop but this is coming from some who still treats March 22nd (the day My Chemical Romance broke up) as a day of mourning. Like, no tea no shade no pink lemonade, MCR was a good band nothing wrong with liking them.

5)But like if you're 22 and you still haven't grown out of your emo phase do you really have room to pick on other people for their music taste?  🤷 Anyway that's the person who follows my main that I didn't want to know I had a kpop sb. I think I made it around July. Tbh it was pretty dead for most of 2018. But like I said I've started using it way more since I recently revealed that it exists, lol. Especially since that good good Astro cb 👏💗😩 But honestly Astro is such a blessing

6)Idk how I lived so long w/o them. When I first got into kpop I was planning on just sticking to BTS since the reaction to me being into kpop was so volatile. I was like 'I'm only into one group, ppl already are negative about me liking kpop so I'm just gonna stick to this and not become a full on multifandom fan' and then in Nov I accidentally let myself fall in love with Monsta X and that plan was foiled. And realizing I wasn't gonna be able to stick to just one anymore opened the floodgates

7)And I was like okay in that case, let's just start getting into *all groups* Lol. My story of getting into Astro was actually bc of my best friend's roommate (can you tell I have like one friend and my whole social circle kinda revolves around her? Lol) so this roommate when she heard me being sad about having no kpop friends was like 'oh hey, I'm kinda into kpop' and it turns out she didn't like very many groups and was one of the ppl who blah blah BTS is overrated, which ya know isn't ideal8)But I was just really desperate to have someone to talk about kpop with. And Astro was her favorite so I was like, okay I'll get into them so that I have something to talk about with her! So I started watching some videos and I fell in love with them pretty much instantly! And I was real excited bc #1 now I can talk about kpop with someone! And #2 this group is actually amazing? Bonus! ... And then they got in a big fight about their living conditions and the roommate ended up moving out RIP

9)So that didn't work out, lol (Your story about finding them during that internship sounds amazing though! Haha) But yeah, so this is my first cb too! And although I love them w/ my whole heart and would have loved to have them in my life even sooner what an amazing cb to be your first! The concept was wonderful, the album was excellent, the visuals were to *die* for. They worked so hard and I'm so proud of them and I'm so happy we got to see their work come to fruition and get them a win 🤧🤧

10)The dance practices though? You're so right omg 💗 Me and my Rocky bias *fully* understand 😂 All of them are such good dancers?? I never fail to be impressed. In regard to your last question though Unfortunately I also won't be able to see them 😔 I live in the smack middle of the US and since they're only going to coasts all of the venues are way too far away to get to. Okay SO I’m very sorry I haven’t had the time to answer everything until now bc I’ve been busy studying for midterms and also I was a lil trashy today since my uni closed bc of freezing rain so I slept in but I’m glad that FINALLY everything got sent like damn tumblr you really don’t want us making friends huh. 

Yessssss I love the feeling of seeing someone else also get into the same interests! I’ve been pretty lucky in the sense that I grew up around mostly other asian americans, so kpop was never something that was considered super “weird,” like some people were into it and some weren’t but even if you weren’t you still would’ve been familiar with the more popular groups from when you were younger. Even now, I have a bunch of friends also into kpop (one of them is even my roommate) so tbh I was definitely the one in my friend group late to the party aha. Even my university hosts kpop nights at our bar and I’m pretty sure we have a kpop dance team as well? So tbh if I met someone new there’s probably like a 50% chance they’re into kpop or at least listen casually. 

Tbh I used to be a little bit judgy too but moreso because of the obscene amount of money I’ve seen some of my friends spend (no joke one of my friends has spent probably like $500+ on Loona stuff in the past month and a half and another friend bought like 5 copies of the same album for herself like damn idk how do you have that much money).

I also really don’t like it when people bash other people’s music tastes, since I feel like it’s something so personal? Idk but for a long time I used to be really self conscious about sharing my music with other people and even now I feel like that sometimes. For me after getting into BTS I kind of expected to get really into other groups since I was in Korea anyway and I was already listening to a lot of other artists casually. For me it started with NU’EST (fell for them immediately at the same concert that I saw Astro at) and then after was Astro, and then I just started slowly getting into other groups after that (even though I haven’t totally been able to get into Got7′s music they’re SO funny and I just kinda fell for their personalities  you know). 

I honestly think that they did such a wonderful job with this comeback too! I like seeing their concept evolve and mature but they’re not straying too far from their original cute concept so I feel like it’s a nice middle ground that’s very unique to them, you feel? Also I feel like the visuals especially and the execution of the whole plant concept was just done so well?? Even my friend who’s not in kpop was like “k idk who they are but that was the prettiest music video I’ve ever seen”. What are your favourite eras and songs? For me I’d have to say either the Spring Up or Baby era BUT right now my favourite song is probably Again/Should’ve Held On though tbh my mood and my tastes change like every few weeks loool. 

I have no idea why I tend to be most attracted to the dances rather than vocals or rap (maybe has to do with the fact that it’s something I’ve always wished I could do but have always been bad at lmao). But Astro’s stood out to me for the exact same reason! I just thought it was so funny seeing them all break character at the end because you really get to see how hard their choreos are and you get a glimpse of their personalities like damn, how can you not stan these dummies?

That’s really unfortunate that you won’t get to see them either :/ They’re also coming to the closest city to me but it’s on a Tuesday, but I *hypothetically* looked up flight prices and tried to see if I could get away with just missing a day of classes if I flew back in the middle of the night since I have some friends who did the same thing and drove down to Buffalo but I seem to have underestimated the size of New York State LMAO. But apparently my university’s too far from the airport so it’s “not realistic” (and also I’m hella broke from travelling to Taiwan and Japan while I was in Korea but that’s a minor issue ig). I hope we do both get a chance to see them live though! Who knows, after the success of this comeback I’m expecting a lot more cbs and world tours out of them ;)
