I'm really confused about the solid amber cats- are they really not considered to be tabbies despite having tabby markings? I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around that. Would you mind expanding upon that topic?
There are two possible uses of the word "tabby" (and I think both are equally valid and useful and have their places).
One is what you use: when a cat is striped. That's it. In this meaning "solid" ambers are tabbies, yes. This is what people mean when they say "all orange cats are tabbies". This is useful in everyday talk, but can get messy, think of smoke ghost tabbies or ticked tabbies.
The other is what i use on this blog: tabby is when a cat's agouti genotype is 'A_', solid is when it's 'aa'. Unfortunately this means both (genetically!) tabby and solid cats can have bafflingly not tabby- or solid-looking phenotypes and that can lead to confusion.
It's intuitive for black: a black tabby is striped, a solid black is solid. This is why the a allele is called "solid" - in reality it doesn't make the cat patternless per se, it increases the production of the black pigment in the "background" of the tabby pattern.
Tumblr media
The only difference between the genetics of these colors is the agouti gene.
For red, genetically solid cats often look identical to genetically tabbies.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kitten and adult photo of a cat born to a solid black and a solid tortie. He's 100% genetically solid red.
Solid tortoiseshells can show this difference very well:
Tumblr media
The black parts of this cat reveal that it's genetically solid - but still have stripes on the red patches.
Amber is somewhere in the middle between red and black: solid cats aren't completely black, but still blacker than tabbies.
This is probably a direct consequence of how orange cats doesn't produce any black pigments whatsoever, while ambers do have some, just less than blacks, so being genetically solid has less effect on them.

Another photo of the tabby and solid amber cats from my previous post

Hii I Hope you’re doing well! Can I request for a TLH and the user, despite being energetic, always laughs and smiles once she rests and acts calm, her face is really sad and in her thoughts but when someone ask her about that she just smiles and brush it away.
Of course if you’re busy or don’t want to do it,it’s perfectly fine you have to take care of you! Love🫶
Anyone who meet you for first time have an impression that you're cheerful, full of energy person. But after spending more time with you they started to notice that whether you are standing away from people your smile tends to vanish, your mind tormented by some troubles.
Whenever they ask you if you're alright you would smile and respond that you're fine. They respect that you're not ready to talk to them about your troubles so they won't press. They won't hide they are sad that you don't want to share your burdens, but give them a second and then they will suggest if you want to do something fun together. Aether, Chongyun, Bennett, Thoma, Gorou, Ororon, Baizhu, Kaveh
When they notice your sadness they won't ask you about it, it's not like they don't care about you, they will still be by your side if you need to talk to someone. They would do their own thing while being close to you. If you wish to talk to them they will immediately stop and put their whole attention to you. Alhaitham, Freminet, Razor, Diluc, Albedo, Dainsleif, Wanderer, Xiao, Mika, Kazuha, Wriothesley, Tighnari, Zhongli, Kinich, Neuvillette
They won't ask but immediately try to do something to make you laugh or at least smile. They want to see you genuinely happy and do everything to bring that smile on your face again. Of course if you're willing to tell them they will listen to your troubles too. Itto, Childe, Cyno, Venti, Lyney, GaMing, Heizou, Sethos, Kaeya, Ayato, Xingqiu
You're always there for them, always willing to listen and if you can you will share some resolution or just comfort them. So they wonder why you don't let them do the same for you?

thoughts on LIS: Double Exposure?
This is probably gonna be my hottest take in awhile, but: I deeply dislike the idea of an official LiS1 direct sequel game existing. Excluding all my thoughts on the gameplay, story, Max's character, etc. I don't think a game like Double Exposure is necessary.
This isn't a new take either; back in 2020 I made a Reddit post saying I was glad we never got a continuation of Max and Chloe's story, because in order to have a plot, you have to have conflict. And to have conflict means your characters are forced to change or struggle in some way, and I simply wasn't interested in seeing that again. I never even read the comics. As long as Max and Chloe's future existed only in the fanbase's collective imagination and not in an officially licensed game, Pricefield could be as happy as I wanted and I wouldn't have to witness DN or D9's version of canon.
A lot of fans, including myself, are also confused and upset as to where Chloe could be in Double Exposure. Even if Chloe winds up having a surprise role, it would likely be too logistically difficult to write Chloe into one version of the story and not the other. Either way, DE is strongly pointing to Chloe no longer being the deuteragonist. If D9 was going to make a direct sequel with Max and Chloe, I could at least be intrigued by how they might write their dynamic and how they'd use Max's power in new and interesting ways. But instead there's... none of that. Chloe's nowhere to be seen and Max can't time travel anymore.
On a narrative level, Max and Chloe are the heart of the original Life is Strange. They represent the game's central relationship, and their very first interaction (Max saving Chloe's life) kicks off the entire story. Throughout the story, their dynamic advances the plot and mutually motivates their character arcs. You can't have LiS1 without either Max or Chloe; the story simply wouldn't exist without them. Now in DE, they don't even seem to be in each other's lives anymore. It's true, this series is meant to reflect universal feelings and experiences, which could include breakups, but the romantic catharsis of Pricefield as canon soulmates who defied time and space itself to stay together forever is something you can only get from the beauty of fiction. To jab DE's story with a dose of reality and go, "Eh, they grew apart. Shit happens," totally undermines everything the Bae ending stood for.
On a technical level, Max's rewind was an objectively brilliant game mechanic. LiS1 arrived onto the scene after Telltale had paved the way for the resurgence of choice-based, episodic games, but LiS1 totally reinvented the wheel by giving the player the option to go back and weigh each option before continuing, essentially save-scumming in-game. But the right choice was never that easy to determine, and Rewind brilliantly complemented Max's character arc of overcoming her indecision and learning to live with her choices. Not to mention, you could also use Rewind to solve puzzles, instead of the endless fetch quests the later games had. No other LiS game since then has given the player that kind of agency and interactivity. LiS2 had telekinesis, but the player couldn't use it, only Daniel. D9 tried with Backtalk and Empathy, but Max's Rewind was truly the narrative and gameplay jackpot that they haven't been able to recreate since.
So if you take away one half of the central relationship that made the first game so memorable, and the supernatural power/game mechanic that made it so fun to play... why even bring Max back at all? It just feels like D9 threw away their golden opportunity to build upon the major selling points of the first game and are only relying on name recognition of the Life is Strange "brand" and Max Caulfield.
What upsets me most of all about a direct sequel existing is that it proves that Life is Strange, as a series, now stands more for profits than originality. Life is Strange will always be an IP meant to make money for Square, I know that, but back when LiS1 was just a brand new episodic game, it stood out for how different it dared to be. In a landscape saturated with shooters, sexualized female characters, and casual misogyny, LiS1 instead featured a teenage girl in a contemporary setting that took her seriously and made her the hero of her story. Before it was a franchise, LiS wasn't concerned with the bottom dollar; it was a piece of art that just wanted to tell a thoughtful, unique story.
Whether you love it or hate it, Life is Strange 2 was an insanely risky follow-up to Life is Strange that refused to rely on the convenience of a direct sequel because Dontnod stuck to their artistic vision. Meanwhile, all of Deck Nine's games have leaned on the first game's following to generate interest (BtS being a direct prequel, TC bringing back Steph, and Wavelengths expanding on Steph's connection to Chloe, Rachel, and Arcadia Bay). In other words, all of the subsequent LiS games by D9 have played it very, very safe. It's worked like a damn charm because there are still elements I love about each game, but the basic principle is nostalgia-baiting fans. It's just that now, Double Exposure isn't hiding that nostalgia bait at all anymore and prioritizing profits over telling a unique story. It's sad to see that LiS has strayed so far from its risky, daring, original, and unique artistic beginnings.
Before I end, I'll say that I can't be too cynical about it all, nor do I want to be. Because I can't deny how much joy this whole series has brought me, too. LiS was what got me into narrative adventure games and pushed the boundaries of what a video game could be. If nothing else, I am truly thrilled that Hannah Telle got the chance to play Max again. D9's always been great at maintaining relationships with their actors, and the casts of their games always have consistently great chemistry. Getting recognized by Erika Mori on my own blog is still unbelievable and speaks to the amazing community that LiS has built. As you can see, I'm still posting and reblogging stuff about Double Exposure. And while I don't see myself buying or playing this game for myself, I know it'll keep all of us talking for awhile, and I still live for a good discussion.
Thank you for asking! And thank you for reading.

what about your trans Wilson headcanons pretty please? 👀👀
An excuse to talk about my beloved, trans Wilson…this is an amazing day
(Def me projecting but) Wilson was one of those kids who always knew. Growing up with two brothers, he didn’t really get as a kid that he was different from them and got confused when his parents treated him differently
His first early sign of being trans was when he tried to pee standing up and pissed all over the floor (he assumed he would just grow a penis as he got older) (also me projecting dw abt it)
Once he realized he was technically “a girl,” he went along with it but never really felt connected to being female at all, which led to him feeling really displaced and unattached to people around him all the time
He found out that being a trans dude was a thing sometime in undergrad from one of those 80s talk shows and felt like the world exploded beneath him
Definitely went through an extensive questioning period (even though he definitely knew he was trans) where he would make really long lists of reasons why he was trans, why he couldn’t be trans, pros, cons, etc. and mull over them excessively because he was terrified of making a mistake (me projecting bc OCD Wilson is real and true to me but that’s another post)
Part of this phase involved going to gay bars and finding trans people and basically giving them the verbal equivalent of an “Am I really trans?” Reddit post until they told him he probably was and to stfu
Wilson came out and started transitioning between undergrad and grad
His parents weren’t super accepting at first and didn’t offer to help him pay for anything, nor did they gender him correctly at all, which took top surgery off the table for a long time
The only family member of Wilson’s that was accepting from the get-go was Danny (sad)
Wilson always looked pretty masc so once he started T he passed easily almost immediately but even to this day he’s still paranoid to no end that people somehow Know he’s not cis
Wilson really leaned into dating women once he started transitioning (he’d fooled around with people of both genders in the past while extremely drunk but dysphoria had pretty much taken any kind of sexuality exploration off the table for him)
Got married to Sam way too fast bc he assumed no one else would ever accept him for being trans (Sam’s version of acceptance was like. Never bringing it up)
In my perfect beautiful T4T hilson world, House was Wilson’s first ever trans friend and was his connect for getting top surgery
In an equally real world, Wilson being trans was the one personal detail House never found out until Wilson revealed it at some point in small waves purely to drive House insane
Stealing from @occultbooks but Wilson’s McGill sweater is 1000% his dysphoria sweater
Wilson and Chase go so many years at PPTH with no idea that the other is trans
Wilson’s comphet goes crazy until at some point post season one when his doctor ups his T dose and his sex drive gets completely thrown out of wack and he starts being attracted to House in a way he cannot ignore
Wilson learns from the Internet that starting testosterone can make you gayer and briefly considers dialing his dose back but the dysphoria is too strong so he decides to accept it as a “side effect”
Anyway eventually he realizes he was gay along and is just lowkey super repressed and maybe a little stupid
Amber never made Wilson feel awful about being trans from the get-go and was so supportive and curious and interested and that’s part of why Wilson loved her so so much
In non-T4T-verse, House pretends to be a chaser and is like wow Wilson it’s so hot that you’re trans it turns me on but actually he’s just hiding from vulnerability bc he really is just obsessed with Wilson and his body no matter what
Wilson is always afraid that his STP looks like a boner in his pants and House takes advantage of this paranoia by making as many jokes about it as possible bc he’s evil
Wilson never got a hysterectomy bc expensive but he still gets insanely awful cramps once a month that sometimes suck so bad he needs to stay home from work (this makes him hella dysphoric)
Wilson doesn’t like his top surgery scars but House thinks they’re the hottest thing ever which Wilson uses to make House feel better abt his leg scar
Wilson’s guilty pleasure is man spreading to a horrendous degree bc it helps his dysphoria a fuck ton
The reason why he wears those old man matching pajama sets is because that was his ultimate transition goal as a kid
On really bad days House does Wilson’s T shot for him (the catch is that House insists on doing the shot in Wilson’s ass)
This lowkey got extremely long my apologies but I could actually talk abt this forever

“Hm, aren’t you the Outrider of the Knights of Favonius?”
(A woman with a large cloak had suddenly approached Amber when she was on her patrol round, around the area of Windrise. The woman gave her a small smile and nod.)
“Ah, apologies. I must look suspicious for suddenly approaching you. You may call me Vera, and I think Amber is your name if I’ve heard correctly from the people?”
@burrat1n0 // :D👋🏻
"nice to meet you, ms. vera!! i'm amber, what can i do for you today?" amber greeted her, noticing the woman's hair color and appearance was similar to someone she knew.

sellie bee! for your game > touya + flicker?? (if you feel comfortable writing for him again, your touya from the shoto fic was so beloved to me) 💕
amber!! thanks for sending in a lil prompty 🥺 ofc i would write him again!! for you!! anything!!! 🥺 my touya from that fic is also so dear to me 🥺 i'm glad you like that little guy 🥺
help me get back into the writing groove! send me a character + any word and i'll write a short blurb about it!
contains: non-canon au, childhood friends
touya + flicker
there's a light by your bedside, one that flickers when its loose wire finds itself tangled around the leg of your bed frame. it doesn't happen all the time, but it's always bothered touya, ever since you were kids.
"fuyumi says that when lights go on and off like that they can go boom," he mimics an explosion with his hands, not quite knowing the term for it yet at 5.
(when you recall the memory, you realize that he must have meant a spark, not the flickering of lights.)
it bothers him so much that he figures out a way to fix it by age 10. he uses a small claw clip, a translucent gray plastic you've seen on his mother many times before. he clips the wire to your bed frame that way, keeping it in place.
it's a bandaid solution, because time creates cracks on the plastic, the metal spring falling apart despite being fused at the hinges.
(and again, looking back, you should have noticed that time had left its mark on touya the same way.)
the light flickers again.
"you'll have shitty eyes if you don't change it," he moves the wire aside until it stops. at 15, touya's become jaded. what once was a twinkling set of aquamarine is now a dull pair of teal, staring straight at you as he speaks.
you know it has something to do with his family, but you don't ask unless he talks about it.
(in hindsight, maybe you should've. because when touya runs away from home the following year, you only catch glimpses of him in the next ten years.)
he visits you at 17, taller and dressed darker than what you're used to. his hair is dyed a jet black, a few cuts and bruises scattering the expanse of his arms. he sees that your light is still flickering and fixes it like muscle memory, not once acknowledging the fact that it's been two years since he's seen you last.
"you can stay with me," you offer him, desperately.
he gives you a wry smile, "can i?"
and you know it's not really a question. you'll be heading off to college soon; there's no real place where you can keep him.
when you move into your dorm in the first year of uni, you leave your lamp behind but find that the lights in your shared bathroom flicker just as bad. it makes you think of him, in the lonely hours especially.
you're surprised when you bump into him at age 20, near campus, barely recognizing him at all. for a brief moment, you see the same shock mirrored on his face, but it disappears when you blink, and when you say his name, "touya—"
"dabi," he corrects you.
it's at 22, when you move into your own apartment and bring the same light from your childhood bedroom, that you find your thoughts floating back to him once more.
you offered right before graduating, the last time you saw him―told him you'd be moving into a new place and he could stay with you there. no one would know about it, no one would bother him.
but touya is a flight risk, appearing in and out of your life like the flickering of your bedside light. you outstretch your hand and he bats it away instinctively, withdrawing from you until he feels like you won't bring it up again.
you do though, every time. the next year, the year after that, when you're both 25. you look for him more consciously now, finding that he's always somehow nearby―by the potted flowers on your windowsill that remain alive despite week-long work trips; by paid for cups of coffee in cafes, the doors whooshing shut as you look for who it could possibly be from.
you've known touya for almost all of your life, and giving up on him isn't an option at all. your heart can't take it, the same way you can't bring yourself to fix your bedside light, its flickering an odd source of hope that he might one day be so fed up, he'll have to come and fix it himself.
and then he'd have to stay―to keep the flickering at bay. to keep the light working. one day.

Do you think Law behaves different when he's only with his crew on the Polar Tang? 🤔👀
In this post I will answer multiple asks! Scroll lower for different questions answered! Now on to the first question...
That's a yes, if you mean that Law behaves differently with his Hearts than, let's say, some strangers or his circumenstencial allies, like Kid or Caesar (maybe also Kinemon). Obviously he spent a lot of time with his Heart Pirates, especially with Bepo, Penguin and Shachi (they're together for over a decade!). Thanks to them, he opened his heart again after losing Cora-san after all. There's probably no one else besides Heart Pirates and Wolf that Law feels as close with. They know things about him no one else does, like his D. name, his revenge plans on Doflamingo, what happened to Flevance, about his disease etc.
But does he behave differently with Hearts than he does with Strawhats? That's a bit harder to pinpoint. Yeah well, he knows Strawhats for a much shorter time than his Hearts, and Strawhats also don't know as many things about Law and his past as Hearts do. But Law was willing to trust Strawhats, regarding his own safety and wellbeing, and in exchange he protected them just the same way he protected his Hearts. What's really the difference between him saving Strawhats from Doflamingo in Dressrosa while attracting all of Mingo's attention on himself, and Law exchanging himself for Hearts in jail in Wano? I would say none, there's no difference, same level of dedication here and there. Let's take a bit of a look at other differences and similarities:
Tumblr media
Telling his Hearts to stop yapping around and just listen to him and proceed with his plan.
Tumblr media
Telling the Strawhats (well, just Usopp and Caesar) to stop yapping and just proceed with the plan. Yeah, exactly same attitude.
Tumblr media
Ignoring their distress and giving them (impossible) orders to follow. Nami even said he's acting just like Luffy. Usopp in Wano complains Law is giving them orders like he's their captain too.
Tumblr media
Giving orders to Hearts (obviously, he's their captain). He might usually try not to order Strawhats around, but when the situation requires that, he doesn't shy away from it, as long as it keeps them safe. He did the same when he took care of them in Wano "I will go after Strawhat! You don't show yourselves in public!" and "We need to get out of here" when Sanji's group attracted some trouble.
Tumblr media
Telling Strawhats to just go and get killed, but never spill the beans.
Tumblr media
Saying the same about his own crew. And he claims his Hearts would follow with it, they would rather die than spill the beans, no matter what. They're also certain Law will believe in them (he indeed does and he would not let them die).
Tumblr media
He also worries for Strawhats when Sanji is missing, like he feels somehow personally responsible, despite this *being only an alliance*. Earlier he wouldn't do that, he would just pass the message to Strawhats through Luffy. But already at Zou Law treats Strawhats like their his crew as well, sticking his nose into their personal matters like it's his private problem as well.
There are more examples like that, the point I'm making here is: Law as a captain behaves exactly the same way with Hearts and Strawhats. He did take that alliance very seriously (like everything, he's a serious guy). He learned Strawhats strengths and delegated them into positions at Wano in which they could make the best use of their skills (Usopp as part of intel gathering group, together with Bepo, Penguin and Shachi to scout samurai and give them the coded pictures; Robin as a spy; Franky as his insider in craftswork's community; Brook for sneaking out supplies etc.) the same way Law manages his own crew to use their individual strengths in the best way possible, Shachi and Penguin for in-water cover, Jean Bart for tank etc.
The only difference between Strawhats and Hearts is the amount of time he spent with them, personal information he shared and... well, the family status. In the Law's novel Bepo, Penguin, Shachi and Wolf are like family to Law. Coincidentally, the manga chapter in which Law and his crew faces Blackbeard is called "The only family I've got". I argued in other posts that chapter titles usually refer to more than just one character or event in a chapter, so I'm pretty sure this one applies both to Bonney and Law. Yes, the Strawhats definitely didn't yet reach the status of "family" in Law's heart except maybe Luffy.
With Hearts, at least in the novel, Law smiles a lot more (so far the only time Law smiled with the Strawhats was in Dressrosa's feast). But we see it happen once in the manga as well (and also on his silly wanted poster before Wano):
Tumblr media
He also trained them himself. From One Piece Red we know he would go as far as to accompany Bepo to Uta's concert, just so Bepo won't feel alone there. Law also lets them be as loud as they want, do the silly sentai poses, he draws the line only at disrespecting him (when Penguin and Shachi called him cute lol). He lets Strawhats do all that too tho, but he might not go to the same lengths for them like he did for Bepo in One Piece Red.
But do I think Law behaves like a different person than what we already know of him, when it's just him and Hearts? No. He just smiles a bit more and does some ridiculous things out of concern he wouldn't do for anyone else in the world, but I doubt they do some completely out of character things together, like Law suddenly having an impromptu karaoke night on Polar Tang (unless, you know, they made him drunk first, but that doesn't count lol) or rehearsing a sentai pose routine for Sora and Germa (he would totally watch them do that by themselves though!). He probably still spends a lot of time in his captain's quarters alone, but he makes sure to pay attention to his crew and for example, eat meals together. Eating meals together was apparently important for him since it reminds him of his home he had with Wolf in North Blue.
But I think most of their together-times happen actually out of intiative of his crew than Law himself, he definitely gets dragged into some stuff against his will, but he ends up agreeing just because he loves them so much and likes to see them happy (but he probably doesn't understand that his presence alone makes them happy, even though it also makes him happy to see them happy). He will never say that outloud though, because then they would take advantage of it Every Single Time. He's also more used to their antics than Strawhats antics, so it's easier for him to filter it out and focus on his own things, unfazed, while they're noisy in the background, lol. Law is like an introverted person in the middle of a cheerful and loud group circle (though I bet at least some Hearts are introverted as well. Penguin, for starters, or Hakugan, they give those vibes).
So, that's my vision of it. Hope you enjoyed! And yeah, I believe Law can reach exactly same level with Strawhats, he's already like halfway there (or maybe even slightly more?), after all.
I actually would love to see Law doing the Germa/Sora sentai routines with his Hearts Pirates tho... that would be so infinitely cute. I have actually one more post about Law and his Heart Pirates, leaving the link here in case anyone's interested: https://www.tumblr.com/l-in-the-light/764268904433483776.
Tumblr media
Oh, uh, I will be honest, he would be probably very awkward about it. His family wasn't really overly emotional imo. Even when Lammy is sick, she's doing her best, acting tough and not crying despite being in severe pain, which tbh would be expected of a child her age. Whenever Baby5 cried, Law seems to quickly lose his anger. When Bepo cries (or Penguin and Shachi in the novel), Law doesn't really know how to comfort any of them and usually doesn't do anything. When they're just sad or anxious it's easier for him to react, he usually tries to comfort them by trying to stay strong, even if it means faking his confidence about something. Because he's doing it for their sake, putting his own needs aside.
When Luffy was bawling and rampaging in Amazon Lily, I think it literally stunned Law:
Tumblr media
And later he just waited for Luffy to calm down, siiting quietly at the shore. Which is why I believe if someone is sad or crying, Law would just give them their personal space and just wait till they're better, while watching gently and calmly from the side. Maybe he would want to offer more, like a pat, a hug or even just a nice word, but considering how bad he is at touching people and how he struggles in emotional moments, that would still end up being really awkward. He might reach out with his hand only to retreat it slowly without making any contact, or he will barely brush the clothes of the crying/sad friend in an attempt at being soothing.
Even if he tries to cheer someone up with his words, he would probably stutter quite a bit, because emotional moments like that tend to do that to him. Maybe he would try to say something like this: "You can cry all you want if it makes you feel better... I can... stay here". But I think what he would feel the most comfortable doing, would be to just stay quietly close by, not say a word, and guard so no one else would witness the sad/crying person in their most vulnerable state. Or, if that person is the type Law believes would feel better with someone actually able to give them support, he would just shamble them to the crying person and leave, to give them some privacy.
He knows he's not the best person to approach when someone is sad and crying and needs support. The only exception here could be Luffy, who we know tends to isolate himself when he's sad and/or crying. I think Law would behave exactly the same way in similar situation (isolate himself and be sad on his own), so those two just have the same coping mechanism. Law would quietly keep guard on the ship, at a distance, and that would be probably the best approach to Luffy crying. And if he's just sad, Law would wait till Luffy wants to talk about it (though Law would be able to guess the reason without them talking about it at all). Though Luffy is distress sometimes seems to forget about food so maybe it would be Law offering him some instead, creating a rare moment between them.
If Bepo was crying, Law would try to awkwardly comfort him, only to get hugged all of a sudden and soaked in his friend's tears as he himself struggles to keep the balance and to breath in the tight bear hug. So I guess Bepo again would be the exception here, but it would still go the same route after Bepo is done crying, he would offer him food (what a peculiar similarity to Luffy, I guess that must feel oddly familiar to Law) and then try to talk with him about whatever made him sad and cry, and then do everything he can to fix it, because of course he would take that trouble onto himself, like it's his personal duty. It's one of those rare moments he can actually do something to make his friend feel better, so he would dedicate 100% effort towards it.
But if it's someone crying or sad who Law doesn't know very well, or barely a friend, his instinct might be to run away from the spot, not because he has no empathy (though he might tell himself that, he easily judges himself after all), but because he feels even more awkward with someone he doesn't know. If it would be a crying child then that might be an exception (thanks to instant flashback to Lammy), so if it's a lost child he would be like "this is so annoying" while searching through half the town to find their parents, lol, while the child clings to his mantle. If the child isn't afraid of him, he *might* consider giving him/her a piggback ride, but since he's so unused to it, it will turn out to be quite a bit of a challenge. He's definitely not used to people being alright with him being close to them or touched by him, and that fear rarely leaves him. Sure, he improved a lot with Cora-san, to the point that being carried became alright, which is why I believe he could give a piggyback ride to a child as well, if he braves himself for it. But one fearful comment from the child and he might never do it again, so yeah, there's also that.
Summing it up: Law would awkwardly sit close by (or escape if he thinks that's the better option for both of them), wait patiently, be a guard, and then offer something for comfort afterwards (probably tea or food, but who knows, he might get more creative if he stresses it out). And if the person wants to he will talk about the reasons they were sad or crying, and offer solutions, because he's not great at saying sweet nothings and comforting words like "poor you" or "you're right to feel how you feel" (doesn't mean he thinks their reason for crying or being sad is invalid), rather he would try to improve the situation so it doesn't happen again, and if it does, that maybe it's a bit easier next time around. All the while he will be making his usual serious and grumpy faces (that's just how he is, okay? don't take it personally), and might later complain to himself about people being overly emotional and dramatic (probably not to their faces though, unless it's Chopper crying over almost nothing), because he has no idea what to do about that, but it makes him feel things which he also doesn't know what to do about.
Damn, I'm making him sound a bit autistic, aren't I? Not good dealing with emotional situations, offering solutions instead of comfort words... Is Law actually neurodivergent? That's actually a good question... He does have some traits, from what I can tell, but then so does Luffy and Chopper, and occassionaly other Strawhats as well, lol.

Oh, yes, the Japanese trend of making music MVs with anime characters dancing to it (or sometimes not only dancing, the point is they're like idols in music videos, dancing, singing or just being protagonist in some sort of story-telling music vids). https://youtube.com/@shinto_s?si=Jm9lnxVhH6UduKbV check it out if you didn't know it yet, this version is with Law and his Heart Pirates!
The art is really cute and pretty, and there was clearly a lot of work put into it (Law is slightly OOC or nerdy there, but it's okay). Personally I don't think the songs fit, but then I also don't know the lyrics, so I might be wrong about it haha. Thanks for sharing anon ✨I usually don't check out stuff like that, but I had fun watching those :D

Okay, fair warning now to anyone who made it this far in this post. You might want to skip my answer here, in case of potential spoilers. That's your last cue! This is the last ask answered in this message, so you won't miss out anything if you skip the rest.
For anyone that stayed and wants to know my answer: I think it's not possible. There are some hints in the manga suggesting that Law actually isn't cured from Amber Lead Syndrome, he only managed to slow down the disease (and ope ope no mi never had the power to cure him, because it's a hereditary sickness). That's why he was able to live for almost two decades longer than his estimated time when he was a child. In other words, I think he controls the sickness with his ope ope fruit powers. Which means, if he has a child he would have to do the same for them and they could never seperate, at all. His child still won't survive till old age. Maybe Law is able to slow down the symptoms and manage the sickness from within his body because he is the *user*, but he might not be able to do it for someone else (especially if he himself is sick as well).
If you're curious what are the hints I'm talking about, of Law not being actually cured, then I will leave you with a link where I talked about it in detail: https://www.tumblr.com/l-in-the-light/759831834066599937. I also wrote about Amber Lead Syndrome being a hereditary disease here: https://www.tumblr.com/l-in-the-light/759927365045485568. Of course if I'm wrong and Law is cured, then yes, the scenario you described, anon, would be possible and the problem would be solved. I just don't think it's that simple, but you're free to come to your own conclusions, of course!

so i saw this cat on pinterest, the caption claimed it was an amber tabby, but a commenter (who apparently runs a cattery?) said it was a smoke because "amber tabbies don't have black noses"
but those stripes look way too defined to be smoke to me, and i've seen other sources claim that a black nose is a defining feature of amber tabbies? so what color is that cat
also i found another tabby with a black nose but this one doesn't look like any ambers i've seen do you know what it is by chance
Tumblr media
The first one is a solid (aa) amber, not a tabby. Its name is Kingsley, and here's the original picture on instagram. (Amber is like red, solids are very strongly ghostmarked, and the black nose is a defining feature of solid ambers.) I don't think it's a smoke, the colors are consistent with regular amber, and amber smokes are usually softer and cooler toned.

Ironically your second cat is actually an amber smoke, Krusmons Golden Gate. Probably photographed young while the color is still in development.
Amber tabbies, like my Galadriel, have pink noses surrounded with yellow and white fur:

Here is a poor picture I took of her half-brother, Trygg, and her mother, Viva:

This is the difference between a tabby and a solid amber.

Hugs for Everyone..? 🫂
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Another ask finished, sorry for the wait, also I only color a tiny bit because I'm too lazy to color all of it. I still have other asks to do. 😔)
Villain Splash never likes hugs and Act Sans only likes it when Amber hugs him, he gets anxious and too nervous and shaky if someone else hugs him.
But...Splash and Amber like hugs, Splash only likes hugs because he hasn't had affection in so long and Amber is just an eleven year old cutie, of course she'll love hugs!
Also, Dade is sleeping. He is trapped in a white void of some sort to get asked and answer but he'd rather sleep...also, he kinda stole Splash's Jacket as a blanket... Don't ask why.

If Max, Chloe, Rachel, Kate and Victoria all had their version of the lock, what do you think their symbols would be?
Max: Doe (I know some associate it with Rachel instead, but maybe they can both be the doe, who knows)
Chloe: Butterfly (or a raven, if we're going by BtS lore, but Kat already has the raven)
Rachel: Doe or a flame
Kate: Bunny
Victoria: Maybe a star? Both her desire for fame but also wanting to outshine everyone in the room.
