Lyrics:
My heart's a stereo
It beats for you, so listen close
Hear my thoughts in every no-ote
Make me your radio
And turn me up when you feel low (turn it up a little bit)
This melody was meant for you (right there)
Just sing along to my stereo (Gym Class Hero, baby)
If I was just another dusty record on the shelf
Would you blow me off and play me like everybody else?
If I asked you to scratch my back, could you manage that?
Like it yikky yeah, check it Travie, I can handle that
Furthermore, I apologize for any skipping tracks
It's just the last girl that played me left a couple cracks
I used to, used to, used to, used to, now I'm over that
'Cause holding grudges over love is ancient artifacts
If I could only find a note to make you understand
I'd sing it softly in your ear and grab you by the hand
Just keep it stuck inside your head, like your favorite tune
And know my hearts a stereo that only plays for you
My heart's a stereo
It beats for you, so listen close
Hear my thoughts in every no-ote
Make me your radio
And turn me up when you feel low
This melody was meant for you
Just sing along to my stereo
to my stereo
(Oh, oh-oh, oh) just sing along to my stereo
Let's go!
If I was an old-school, fifty-pound boombox (remember them?)
Would you hold me on your shoulder, wherever you walk?
Would you turn my volume up in front of the cops?
And crank it higher every time they told you to stop
And all I ask is that you don't get mad at me
When you have to purchase mad D batteries
Appreciate every mixtape your friends make
You never know, we come and go like on the interstate (never know)
I think I finally found a note to make you understand
If you can hit it, sing along and take me by the hand
Just keep me stuck inside your head, like your favorite tune
You know my heart's a stereo that only plays for you
My heart's a stereo
It beats for you, so listen close (listen)
Hear my thoughts in every no-ote
Make me your radio (come on)
And turn me up when you feel low (turn it up)
This melody was meant for you
Just sing along to my stereo (sing along like)
to my stereo
(Oh, oh-oh, oh) just sing along to my stereo
I only pray you'll never leave me behind (never leave me)
Because good music can be so hard to find (so hard to find)
I take your hand, hold it closer to mine (yeah)
Thought love was dead, but now you're changing my mind
Songwriter:
My heart's a stereo
It beats for you, so listen close
Hear my thoughts in every no-ote
Make me your radio
And turn me up when you feel low

Nikki Haley is still not a moderate on abortion.
Do you know people who are still delusional about there being GOP candidates who favor reproductive freedom? Tell them to cross Nikki Haley off their lists.
Haley says she would sign six-week abortion ban if still S.C. governor
Pressed on abortion at a Christian conservative gathering, GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley said Friday that she would sign a six-week abortion ban in her home state of South Carolina if she were still governor. Haley has tried to strike a more nuanced tone on abortion than some of her fellow Republican hopefuls by calling for legislators to seek areas of “consensus” at the federal level. She has also said that while she opposes abortion, she “doesn’t judge anyone for being pro-choice.” At the same time, she has previously said she would support any restriction on the procedure that can pass while sidestepping calls for a particular limit. At a forum on Friday for 2024 candidates hosted by evangelical organization the Family Leader, Haley was asked to be more specific about which types of laws she supports. The fine line she has tried to walk has drawn approval from some Republicans and independents wary of abortion restrictions — or just eager to move on from the divisive issue. But it’s also brought criticism from both ends of the political spectrum, with some antiabortion activists skeptical of her answers and Democrats attacking Haley as extreme despite her talk of compromise. “Nikki Haley is no moderate — she’s an anti-abortion MAGA extremist who wants to rip away women’s freedoms just like she did when she was South Carolina governor,” Ammar Moussa, the director of rapid response for President Biden’s reelection campaign, said in a statement.
Haley has been trying to dance around the abortion issue. Nobody should trust her.
At the last Republican debate she claimed, "No Republican president is going to ban abortions." Her comment is disingenuous bullshit.
Presidents appoint Supreme Court justices. Trump has been going around the country telling audiences that he "killed Roe v. Wade". It's one of the rare times he ever told the truth.
Trump did not need legislation or a constitutional amendment to ban abortion in much of the country – his justices and ones from the two Bush administrations did it on his behalf.
Republican presidents are only going to nominate extremist anti-abortion justices to SCOTUS.
Every single justice nominated by Republican presidents since 1991 is anti-abortion. They differ in their opposition only by degree – with Roberts being somewhat opposed and Alito and Thomas being fanatically opposed.
And almost all of those six justices blatantly lied in Senate hearings about considering Roe v. Wade "established law" just as some Republican presidential candidates will try to muddy the waters regarding their true positions on abortion.
People who favor reproductive freedom should not waste their votes on vanity candidates from loser third parties. Being anti-abortion is in the GOP DNA. And the only way to keep Republicans out of office is to vote Democratic.

thoughts on Predator: Eyes of the Demon
overall not as ground breaking as I was hoping for (granted im a weird transsexual fag IRL so i guess i have a lot of expectations that are unlikely to be met by the average sci fi author), but still some decent stories! i'd say 6.5-7/10 overall. rating for each of the stories under the cut (to keep this post from being like. a mile long):
• "The Titans" by Tim Lebbon – underwhelming plot but i enjoyed their poetic rivalry. 6/10 • "The Distance in Their Eyes" by Stephen Graham Jones – good little story with a twist. Didn't think much of it at first but I keep thinking about it. 9/10 • "Aftermath" by Bryan Thomas Schmidt – ENOUGH. OF. DUTCH. let the poor guy rest! that being said, the way we get a tantalizing 3 paragraphs or so of "baby's first hunt" is SO charming. would have been more if it was focused on HIM not dutch but it was ALL about Dutch so. 3/10 • "Proving Ground" by Linda D. Addison – yautja-centric! and focusing on political maneuvering! yippee! sadly still kinda whatever. 7/10 • "Lion of the Himalayas" by Ammar Habib – human focused but a much needed change of setting and at least was unique. One of the better stories imo! 8.5/10 • "The Fix is In" by Jonathan Maberry – another capitalist-military future story (i hate this genre btw) but i'm obsessed with the single surviving yautja tricking a group of humans just to hijack their ship since his was irrevocably fucked. kudos to you, bro! 5.5/10 • "Bitter Hunt" by Kim May – this one just raised too many questions it didn't have the length to answer. why was your son going around killing women and children??? at least u killed him yourself. i would be sooooo embarrassed in her shoes. i would say if it got more space to flesh itself out, it could've been great. but this version we get is solidly a 6.5/10 • "Field Trip" by Robert Greenberger – THE INFAMOUS BIRTH AND NURSING STORY!!!!!! i think i have the most beef with the world building in this story out of all them. like. why the fuck were her novices such misogynists??? hello?????? like ZERO respect / understanding of reproduction. u were a baby once too you know?! funny setup, annoying teen boy type behavior, questionable mom choices too (if she didn't want to have da baby on earth then why sign up for this job so close to your due date?), but ultimately, the reason i chose this book in the first place. so 10/10 for getting me, keeping me, and making me mad. • "Cannon Fodder" by Gini Koch – girl power! would have been better if they were lesbians at the end. 6/10 • "Little Miss Nightmare" by Peter Briggs – I like this writer's style the most out of all the other authors featured. I thought his human characters were at least interesting. AND the yautja featured was more of an anthropologist vs being exclusively there to trophy people. so she had more curiosity. I think a lack of curiosity in people's yautja characters is the most disservice they can do to them. 9.5/10 • "The Trophy" by A.R. Redington – NOT HOW IT WOULD'VE GONE DOWN. TAKING LOTSA POINTS FOR THAT. 2/10 (objectively not a bad story. but makes me mad) • "The Monster" by Michael Kogge – hey I've been there! really funny to have bigfoot fight predator, but underwhelming-ly written. 6/10 • "Ghost Story" by Joshua Pruett – I suspect you are not a geologist. 5/10 • "Sly Dark in the Daylight" by Yvonne Navarro – really funny to have a Bad Blood be the main yautja in the story. human centric of course but at least it was a different setup than typical "yautja hunting humans" type thing. Kinda addicted to the ending but also not how it would've ended in my opinion. 6/10 • "Dead Man's Switch" by Scott Sigler – yeah yeah engineered super beast hunting facility attracts yautja. of course. 6/10

Tumblr #3: Cultural Fluidity in Yes Theory
With over 8.64 million subscribers, the Youtube channel Yes Theory has easily made an important global impact during a time of subscriptions, views, and thumbs up. Beginning in 2015 with Ammar Kandil from Egypt, Thomas Brag from France, Matt Dajer from the U.S., and Derin from Turkey, the group has created a social media platform whose mission is simple: seek discomfort. Over the years, Yes Theory has filmed hundreds of videos from hundreds of different countries around the world, displaying their cultures while pushing themselves to work outside of their comfort zones. An inspiring and eye-opening platform, Yes Theory has been a revolutionary channel that promotes diversity, equal rights, and justice for those who deserve it.
Some of the main subjects within Yes Theory are the importance of ethnic identities, the role of multiculturalism within different countries, as well as acceptance of a diverse world. To begin, as written by Sturken and Cartwright, “-we make meaning of the material world through understanding objects and entities in their specific cultural contexts” (Sturken & Cartwright 2009). A topic commonly discussed in ART 150, the channel often and openly discusses multiculturalism, as well as its importance in modern society today. One of their goals is to accurately represent the many different cultures around the world in a context within the material world, as Sturken and Cartwright discuss.
Additionally, Yes Theory embodies many different ethnic identities within their members, as seen in the wide range of nationality between the four producers. As seen in the photo below showing one of Yes Theory’s members, Matt, holding a sign that says “Now is not the time to be comfortable- act now and seek discomfort”. This is in reference to one of the missions of the channel to push the concepts of multiculturalism and ethnic identities in a world that sees these identities as limiting rather than beneficial to society as a whole.
While not said blatantly, Yes Theory actively protests against discrimination and seeks justice - just as they seek discomfort- for those wronged by systematic racism. Peggy McIntosh states, “I was taught to see racism only in individual acts of meanness, not in invisible systems conferring dominance on my group” (McIntosh 1989). This displays the many problems and injustices systematic racism has created across the world today as discussed in ART 150, and Yes Theory is known for making people “uncomfortable” by bringing these issues to light within their videos. Continuing, many of the “privileges” McIntosh mentions in her article are “privileges” that Yes Theory has brought up in their videos within different countries. In fact, they are revealed not to be “privileges”, but rather opportunities that should be accessible to everyone. This is therefore continuing to challenge and bring to light to invisible but not so invisible systematic racism that is present in society.
Lastly, with the vast amount of followers Yes Theory has attained, the channel plays a vital role in representation among popular visual culture. For example, in the exhibit “Mixed Blood” by CYJO, the artist includes stunning visuals of multiculturalism within families with countless ethnicities, nationalities, and races. The image below is an image from CYJO’s exhibit, featuring a family of Nigerian, Russian, Scottish, Jewish, and Cuban ancestry. Likewise, Yes Theory shares similar visuals within their channel, such as the ethnic representation within their four members. The next image below is of the four members of the channel, clearly of different ethnicities and nationalities, yet they all share a similar goal with similar motivations. These similar visuals of many different ethnicities all together in one photo reveals the importance of cultural fluidity within popular visual culture and its positive impacts on friendship, family, as well as well-being.
From CYJO's "Mixed Blood" exhibit
Ultimately, Yes Theory’s goal to seek discomfort has brought on representation of ethnic identities, multiculturalism, and cultural fluidity while revealing systematic racism and the need for justice.

Lyrics:
Yo!
My best friend, best friend 'til the very end
'Cause best friends, best friends don't have to pretend
You need a hand, and I'm right there right beside you
You in the dark, I'll be the bright light to guide you
'Member the time-time-times sneaking out the house
All of the time-time-times that you had the doubts
And don't forget all the trouble we got into
We got something you can't undo, do
Laughing so damn hard
Crashed your dad's new car
All the scars we share
I promise, I swear
Wherever you go, just always remember
That you got a home for now and forever
And if you get low, just call me whenever
This is my oath to you
Wherever you go just always remember
You're never alone, we're birds of a feather
And we'll never change, no matter the weather
This is my oath to you
I know I drive you crazy, huhm, sometimes
I know I call you lazy and that's most times
But you complete me and that's no lie
You are my tuxedo and I'm your bow tie
We in the car sing-sing-singing our song
Rocking the building, tear it down, like we King Kong
And in my eyes, you can't do-do no wrong
You got the best friend sing-sing along
Laughing so damn hard
Crashed your dad's new car
All the scars we share
I promise, I swear
Wherever you go, just always remember
That you got a home for now and forever
And if you get low, just call me whenever
This is my oath to you
Wherever you go, just always remember
You're never alone, we're birds of a feather
And we'll never change, no matter the weather
This is my oath to you
Yeah!
I'll never let you go
Whoa, this is my oath to you
Just thought that you should know
Whoa, this is my oath to you
Wherever you go, just always remember
That you got a home for now and forever
And if you get low, just call me whenever
This is my oath to you
Wherever you go, just always remember
You're never alone, we're birds of a feather
And we'll never change, no matter the weather
This is my oath to you
Songwriter:
Oh oh
You should know, you should know, you should know, you should know, yeah
Oh
Whoa, this is my oath to you
Whoa, wherever you go just always remember
You're never alone, we're birds of a feather
Whoa, this is my oath to you
