❤️ , Tomorrow .. Oct 24th .. is the birthday of Ef Kankana Chakraborty , Ef Deepak Jain , Ef Atul Kumar Shrivastava , Ef Amrita Singh , and Ef Toto TB .. and the wishes to all the Ef from the Ef family .. love and peace .. ❤️❤️❤️

The morning hours they say are the best for contemplative thoughts and writings .. a colleague in the advertising world shared this with me .. I used to find it effective , and most of the thinking and writing would occur then .. but then the early hours shifted .. there was gym , and there were early call sheets .. so the night invasion got initiated .. then time constraints on the early sleep took over .. the writings became partial and conveniently the posting of pictures took over the task of a connect .. which in all honesty was unfair and not quite correct .. so the coming together at this hour was introduced .. and this morning has been early but in contemplative thoughts ..

A dear friend and colleague from the Industry sent me his column and I thought it was most perceptive ..

I thought it made good reading so have presented it here .. such an amount of information to be assembled is an art too - the art of writing gets embellished  ... 

‘Transitional’ .. a word I used in a message earlier and did not have the correct meaning , so looked it up and there it was .. a relief that it was correctly used .. 

I must improve my reading .. it has never been to the extent that most believe it to be .. I listen more, gather more from speech and others’ speech and direction .. its like that mythological character, who would remember not from what he himself read, he had to hear it from this particular person and it all remained with him .. so I gather now from conversations of others , of the intellect of the Ef, of the knowledge of the KBC contestants .. but yes one aspect that gets my reading personal is ..

Babuji .. 

But that too is sparse and limited .. my desire is to be able to just read a page each day of his writings .. that in itself is educative enough .. 

I must I must I must .. 

.. and then suddenly as I write this, a paragraph of his auto biography that had been in my mind, comes up, when I was recording his poem ‘Samvedna’ - kya karun samvedna lekar tumhaari kya karun - क्या करूँ समवेदना लेकर तुम्हारी क्या करूँ  ..  samvedna - sympathy .. an expression that denotes the feeling of sympathy that arises in another after witnessing the pain or grief of the other .. ‘what can I do, what do I do with the sympathy you offer ?’ .. words that in the poem resound with the bitter truth of life its events, its conditioning and circumstances .. difficult or distasteful to accept, admit, or bear .. the bitter truth ; bitter sorrow .. 

What can one understand the pain of the other and can that pain be transferred to him or her .. ? and the bitterness of the truth in those words of the poem .. an explanation someday shall be shared .. a earlier reference to one of the expressions in the poem  :

‘उस नयन से बह सकी कब इस नयन की अश्र��� धारा ‘  .. for, when did the flow of the   tear from that eye , flow out from the tear of mine  ..

the bitter truth .. 

And so the words continued in his thoughts and his historic meeting which is attached to this poem .. but further down he wrote :

.. an emptiness filled me or was filling me .. and it seemed as though someone was willing to fill that emptiness, was not wishing it to remain empty .. who was able to recognise the waves of emotions within me .. my senses were able to recognise the pressures of these emotions, but what direction to give it had not been learnt by it .. if it had learnt ,  then many ‘forgets of my life’ I would have learnt , and have been saved .. there would have been some satisfaction on those saves .. today I have no repentance on those, forgets or mistakes or misguides .. today I have learnt that to recognise life there is no straight path .. to learn life is a search .. it can be known only by loosing your path or direction a few times .. in a moment of regret I myself had written and said - ‘life is a history of forgets or mistakes ‘ .. but then I also changed my thought to  - ‘from my one forget or mistake, did I learn from the hundred truths of others ..’ 

It can also be put to fate that that evening , when indeed my mind waves were in another direction, I started flowing  and decided to flow with the waves in the opposite , not in consonance with the conditions I was going through .. I could have been differing with the struggle between the two forces , but if I was, so I was .. what was to come I would cover my self with it ..  wear it  .. 

It was the moment he had met my Mother for the first time and their decision to become life partners ..  

the moments I spent in thought at the recordings takes away the reality of a recitation .. you begin to live the moment in an imagination that becomes so vivid, that you draw your own visuals and perceptions and imagery ..

but .. 

.. it is difficult to leave the DAY here and now, with these thoughts and one desires to continue to read more to express in the translate .. 

but ..
