i've said it before but i'll say it again. what the new dune movies did with chani & the changes they made were fucking beautiful & a good example of how to better round out & update female characters without coming off as hollow fanservice. they completely rehauled her character and motivations but in a believable way that has consequences for the Entire story which i think is brilliant. and i also really hope we see the same w irulan

pax am days happening during patricks twink era just speaks to me because current day patrick has power and weight behind his voice and you can see it and you can feel it and you can sink into it and let yourself be enveloped but pax am patrick was tiny and angry-angsty and it was raw in that newfound freedom way of finally having the confidence to play with his voice instead of hiding behind impressions patrick now has a loose playfulness behind that confidence in his voice but 2013 patrick sang "young blood doesn't it feel like our time is running out?" with such desperation and intensity on their lighter album of that year and do you know what that feels like to have so much energy coursing through your veins that it has to spill out somewhere and sometimes it's too much even then so it spills out everywhere and it's raw and it's unrefined and it's special
