Kinda funny how much my sister is type a....as a kid she was applauded for being on top of things for wanting to help cook clean tidy up. N she's very much an organized neat person. reyna oh my beloved reyna <333 she knew him the best of everyone and then he disappeared, came back brand new? new friends, new girl, new person, and shes glad he's happy but where did HER jason go ? the one she trained with, spent years getting close with, spending all her time with? he was taken from her, and as happy as she is for the new jason he can never fill her heart the same

piper my lovely was basically coerced into a relationship built on false narratives with him, and she broke up bc that wasnt right !! what were they now? ofc, they were friends, but the tension of fake memories and fading feelings was still effective. it was so hard to talk to him but she wanted it to be easy again like in her fake memories

leo (this is valgraced bc im a valgrace truther ok?) hated him but loved him as a friend and more. jason was what leo wanted to be; respected, smart, listened to, not seeming like a burden. he wanted that so bad, which made him want jason, too. stuck between do i want my best friends boy or do i want to kill him and take his place? he was soo jealous but guilty of the jealousy bc it wasnt like it was jasons fault the way ppl treated the two differently. and jason was the same to leo, he wanted leos humor and be able to make a room laugh instead of having them glare at him for being to stern, even tho thats what he had been taught to do. they found a unique bond with each other by wanting aspects of each other while liking the parts they didnt want to be

cohort5/new rome [bar hazel and frank] etc looked up to him so much. he was their role model, their leader, their voice of reason, the person to turn to, THE guy. they basically idolized and dehumanized him to nothing but the boy who was raised to lead them, especially bc he was the son of jupiter. the first in so long, ofc he was important and special, why treat him like normal ?

percy ,,, he respected jason eventually. they clashed but they learned how to work through the clashing and fight alongside each other instead of against each other. they had similar yet dif personalities, percy fighting to be listened to while jason had been forced to speak. both leaders, respected, treated like leaders but in dif ways bc of the way their social groups functioned. they both wanted what each other had; percy wanted the stability of new rome, knowing he'd have people that would come back alive every summer. jason wanted the close bonds of camp halfblood without being put into a heavy spotlight

thalia loved him. he was her younger brother, how could she not? she pitied him, tho, from the way he lived in new rome. she knew the life well, being thrown into the spotlight and everything bc she herself was a daughter of zeus (like how chiron and camp treated her, esp if u compare it with how they treated percy after she came back) and hoped he would find a place better. her arms were always open for him but she had another life she wanted to live, too

octavian. pure hatred and jealousy. jason was everything he wanted. he was in leader positions, respected, listened to. octavian thought of him similarly to leo, but without the good bond. he despised jason because he wanted everything jason got just for being born from jupiter. it was unfair, and octavian decided to take advantage when jason disappeared. he wouldnt have another chance to take the spots that belonged to him

nico grew fond of him. he couldnt not have, esp after how jason treated him after the cupid incident. immediately showing his trust, backing him up, etc etc, it was finally someone nico could trust and talk to after years of running from camp and monsters and guilt of dead sisters and tense/awkward friend?ship with his very happily taken crush. nico found someone he could depend on, even if he didnt want to

beryl damn. she had some love for him. deep down, she knew she did, he was her son. but she couldnt focus on him, she had her life to take. her downfall started with thalia and zeus, jason made it worse. even if he was her son, the little love she had for him was so hard to find. too hard to even try. so, she left him, maybe hoping for a better life for him, or wanting to get rid of him. she knew both reasons were true

hedge isnt too talked about in general but he loved jason okay. the son he never had, before chuck. he was him and leos and pipers protector, and he would lay down his life for any of the three. they were his children, even if he no longer talks to them, theyll hold the spot in his heart

hazel and frank and annabeth had similar thoughts about jason. none were really close; hazel and frank looked up to jason like the rest of new rome, but could see him as a person because they actually talked to him. they thought positively about jason, he was friends with all three. even if they werent as close as tlh trio, they still liked jason. how could you not, after a war stuck with them? they think of jason like one does with a friend who used to be close, but grew apart simply because of time. they like him, but theyre not close

hera oh !! he was her son. he was her champion. he was hers, even if he was caused by the reoccuring infidelity of her husband. he was her champion and she loved him like a son. she had a genuine bond with him, one thats hard to form with a god and mortal/demigod. she was the better beryl, and him the better heracles

lesterpollo. he thinks of jason so. much. i firmly believe jason was a big big big part in lester changing, i mean, watching someone know they were going to die and WILLINGLY go into the situation? he had nothing but respect and admiration towards jason. jason was like a mentor to him, showing and reminding him of the right thing to do

i'm genuinely curious I WANT YOU to outline how the shu/ake/sumi romance/and-or/situationship would unfurl in a post-p5r reality (where akechi lives, of course). what are the bullet points for what would happen between them. would they have a falling out. are they doomed. would they be horrible at communicating. would they finally be good at it. which pairing comes together first, if any at all. or would all 3 pairings happen at the same time at the same pace. or are they all in a limbo, not romantic nor platonic but a secret third thing.

OMG HI. HIIIII ok so. i havent actually thought about it that much (SURPRISING I KNOW) because i honestly suck ass at timelines (in regards to canon. tennis au on the other hand...) BUT I WILL DO MY BEST a lot of this is loose too.... im totally up for most anything but this is how i see it most of hte time heheeh (TY FOR THE ASK I LOVE THINKIJGN ABT THESE 3.)

this is .. kinda.. long.. ahem

pre-p5r: sumire is acquainted with goro thru her dad's show: they're not friends, but she's talked with him more than her sister. so when goro meets 'kasumi' at the cafe something strikes him as odd but it doesn't quite register: like ehhhh well why should i care / maybe my memory is just wrong / not worth my time

during p5r: 'kasumi' has a crush on akira, a kind of on-the-surface adoration of "wow i think you're really cool and we get along well!" nothing that's super advanced on or anything, and akira doesn't see her as anything beyond friends anyway.

she drops the crush upon reverting back to sumire, and it builds slowly over the course of 3rd sem but is also never really actualized - like she likes him ok whatever but then what..??

3rd sem (long winter au): long winter barebones: maruki's idealized world starts like on christmas or smth (havent thought this out TOO much LOL) and royaltrio-centric part of 3rd sem lasts for quite a while, at least 3 weeks-1 month. how does this work w the timeline i have no idea. BUT it leads to tense moments like spending new years together with the idealized thieves and trying to stay upbeat during all that, all the attempts and failures at breaking them out of it, and a LOT of tension during this time.

they argue and fight and are irritated with each other a lot of the time (goro the most vocal abt it obviously, sumire kind of drawing back into herself, and akira doing his best to stay optimistic. i think when akira starts to lose his spark is when the others r like oh we gotta make up for that slack and they finally up their game a bit) and yeah even sumire argues with akira and with goro and etc. im figuring this out PROMSIE ill come up w stuff and draw comic/write fic for it...

also 1/9 sumire fight is probably the beginning moment when goro starts to respect sumire more/see her more as a friend/comrade than a teammate. bc she almost kills joker and then him LMAO really giving them a run for their money... and also he really sees the pain she feels at being herself and resonates with it, either unconsciously or consciously

also upon seeing her Past broadcasted on maruki live television:tm: he makes the connection and is like oh so that's what happened. so all this time she was just masquerading as someone else. hmmm

anyway they're all very fragile and scared and sad during 3rd sem so they stick to eachother closely bc they're all they got to lean on. i think they have a lot of skinship during this time? handholding hugs leaning on each other sleeping in the same room (they hang out at leblanc A LOT bc 1) they're kind of afraid of being alone during this time 2) they're afraid of the OTHERS being alone during this time 3) leblanc is "untouched", compared to other parts of maruki's reality. can u imagine if even goro's apartment suddenly became nice overnight LMAO) but its like no feelings attached, just pure comfort kinda thing

kissing could also happen during this time but also no feelings attached, purely Why the hell not etc sort of vibe.

also goro and sumire get on first name basis during this time. this comic i drew w goro dying in my head which is Why he initiates first-name basis, but we can operate off the idea that he thought he'd die but somehow magically didnt. YAY!

but they have impeccable communication w each other and are very honest with their feelings. (goro avoids talking about his past tho. so maybe not THAT honest.) but they all achieve a really strong understanding of each other to survive maruki's winter wonderland...

i do think they develop feelings for each other during this time but they're all confused whether it's feelings of like comfort/security with each other or like romance/yay. so like nightmare situationship basically. so they all individually decide to hold on to this happiness while it lasts bc they sure as hell know it won't last (when have any of them been able to keep good things)

3rd sem: the thieves join yay! i think they'd notice that the 3 of them have become very close-knit (bouncing off eachother insanely well in battle, talk to eachother casually, and are generally pretty affectionate with each other. weird but ok! at least they (akira goro.) aren't trying to kill each other all the time.

this is also nice for sumire bc she had those 3-4 weeks to kinda Figure herself (sumire) out btwn akira and goro so she's less like down in the dumps about not being 'kasumi' anymore and more secure in herself and stuff like that. yay!

they beat maruki and stuff. YAY!

post-p5r: akira moves back to his hometown for 3rd year of highschool and college, goro is who-knows-where (i imagine he gets back on his feet of his own making and then goes abroad for school somehow. idk just seems like smth he'd do esp since i think he'd avoid everyone during this time) and sumire stays at shujin for 2-3rd year, then probably goes to a uni in japan but goes abroad for 1-2 yrs (gymnastics and etc.)

the "goro doesn't die and reunites with akira/sumi" timeline

goro, walking into leblanc on 2/4 or whatever: hi guys i didn't die actually

sumire: haha why would u silly? lol

akira: WHAT THE FUCK

i think they do go to separate universities though and theyre like damn wait i miss those guys but they go thru school and keep pretty decent contact w each other and see each other during vacations and stuff when they can and then when they come back to tokyo it's like no time has passed btwn them and they just pick up where 3rd sem left off but like better and happier and more peaceful. YAY!

i haven't really thought of how they "CONFESS" or whatever but i think all of them just feel (TWINGE OF JEALOUSY) at the idea of any of them dating someone else so theyre like ok well thats that i guess. we're a thing now (they refuse to use any other terms like that i think. For a while at least. until maybe one of the thieves etc gets engaged/married and then theyre like ok we can grow up about this. but basically they're just A Thing and Offlimits:tm: and etc.)

COMMUNICATION IS GOOD HERE!!!! i think for sh/uakes/umi i prefer them becoming a Thing at once rather than 1 couple happening first (esp since i like the idea of "none of them rlly understand romance and stuff so they just say 'fuck it' and become Thing" like thats kinda funny asf to me.)

i also feel like to anyone else they just seem like a group of besties until u see exchanged kisses or hugs or interlocked arms/hands and ur like wait....? hm. well idk. (bc they don't either. no one has any idea)

the "goro doesn't die and avoids them" timeline

also in my head sumire doesn't endeavor for the olympics/world stage/international fame and just kinda sticks around national rankings while she still figures herself out (in this timeline. also probably true for the other one but shrug IT CLD GO EITHER WAY I THINK)

somewhat relevant is my shsm fic where i elaborate on sumire's emotions more during this time (especially while thinking goro's dead). <- actually this is pretty recommended cele sumire reading bc this basically totally encapsulates how i see her. the first oneshot is 6k words tho ITS A MOUTHFUL.. SORRY

she and akira drift farrrr apart. she feels extremely guilty and also bitter and frustrated about goro's death and the fact that akira didn't tell her (or goro, in fact.) and he feels guilty and sad about it too, that he should have done something? anything? for him or for her, and he couldn't figure it out and now its over. so now the two of them r grappling w this and trying to overcome it and forget each other even tho the memories during 3rd sem, although painful and haunting, still were sweet and nice and they don't want to forget but they HAVE TO MOVE ON... RIGHT....

meanwhile goro's probably thinking like "damn i miss those guys." but they also think he's dead so hes also like "this is stupid i have to move on(?) Or whatever." ok imma be honest i didnt really think THAT much into goro's thinking during this time (YET.) bc i think he'd be floundering a LOT with everything during his life and being kinda just miserable.

also during this time they try to date other people and it all is miserable and falls apart and also they havent forgotten about the other two so theyre like fuck.

akira - 25~, sumire - 24~, goro - 26~, eventually goro moves back to tokyo and kinda just goes about his life hoping he'll see them again. or maybe find out what they were up to and finally get some closure. wow he does! they kinda all go back to tokyo at the same time wow shocker soulmate things IM JOKINGGGG but they all kinda hold that sentimentality of ok so much time has passed maybe i'll feel better about this place now. and then when they run into each other again its like no time has passed at all. HAPPY ENDING YAY!

shes donald ducks twin sister, and mother of huey, dewey and louie duck. she is described as persustent, headstrong, bold... she would never let people tell her she couldnt do ghings just cause shes a girl. shes a pilot as well

shes not present in her sons lives, at least up until their canon ages of roughly 10 years old. in the older canons, it is simply left there, however eventually in one comic it was expanded upon and revealed that she is on the moon! i believe in this continuity she has no idea 10 years have passed, and is shown in one to only believe herself to have been away for 15 minutes. truly tragic, considering no one has the heart to tell her.

in ducktales 2017, thats where my expertise shines cause my autism show, she haunts the narrative for the entire 1st season, and is presumed to be dead. at the end of the season, it is revealed that her disappearance caused a major rift in scrooge and donalds relationship, with them going no contact from before the boys hatch up until the shows pilot. also, like before, shes on the moon. idk why im talking so formally.

the second season we finally get to meet della and she fucking rules. she reminds me of my mom personality wise, which computes to me as that is a woman who never got an adhd or autism diagnosis and very likely needed one. shes silly, shes brave, shes impulsive, shes reckless. she learned her uncle was making her a surprise rocket ship and stole it for a joyride before it was done. roughly a week before her kids hatched. i have thoughts about that, but thats for later or maybe another ask.

ANYWAY. evidently, stealing an unfinished rocket ship is a Bad Idea; it gets swept up in a cosmis storm and she crashes on the moon. her leg is pinned under some debris of her ship, and she is forced to amputate it. keep in mind she is Completely Alone. then she spends the next ten years, still alone, slowly trying to find a way home to her kids. she has a picture of her, scrooge, donald and the eggs taped up the the wall and she drew what she thinks her kids might look like on the back of it. she went from building SOS signs to trying to rebuild the ship herself (teaching herself ROCKET SCIENCE in the process)

shes in rhe final stretch and then she meets moon aliens who have been here the whole time and also have a thriving society and all the materials she would need to rebuild her ship. because of course theyve been right there the whole time. sure. ten years of solitude and theres been guys here the whole time. at least one of them is a hot butch like twice her height?

the moonlanders help her rebuild her ship and she finally gets to go home and see her family. donald is sent away until the finale because they dont want me to be happy /j fr tho the twins reunion was underwhelming but its wtv i can cope

the reunion of della and scrooge is magnificent though!! along with her meeting her kids <333 they spend a few scattered episodes briefly exploring how she missed so much of their lives and ultimately doesnt know how to be a mom, but theyre a family and theyll work to figure it out. they make like... 2 brief nods to how she spent a decade alone on the moon, but judging by the appearances of younger della in flashback stories, it seems as if shes nearly completely unaffected (i call bullshit but wtv. ill write it myself)

it’s long as hell so under the cut!

stephanie lauter is the daughter of a victor from district 7. her father holds the record for victor with the most kills and he takes great pride in it. he was elected mayor by snow and she doesn’t want to know what he did to get it. she’s not blind, she knows exactly how corrupt her father is. he wants her to volunteer and follow in his lead, but she refuses. when she’s 14, her name is pulled. she doubts it’s an accident. she plays up her legacy in the interviews bc its a good story, hopes her father will get her sponsors for following the story he wants. she partners up with the two district 11 tributes who have strong training scores and manages to play up the “i’m not as strong as my father im going to die” that she feels deep down. she has them protecting her for a while and does get close to them for a little while. when she can’t fall asleep, she hears them discussing plans to kill her soon so they can make it to the end together, and she steals their axe and kills them in their sleep the next night. she follows the careers around in the trees and sabatoges them slowly, turning them against each other. when there are three left, she kills the one closest to the leader with her axe, and the leader blames the other. the two tear each other apart, and she is the victor of the 69th hunger games.

ruth flemming is 15 when her younger sister is reaped. she’s only just turned 12, and she has no chance of living. ruth volunteered to keep her sister safe, not because she thought she’d win. it’s not the first time someone volunteered for a family member, nor will it be the last, but it makes her stand out. she plays it up, the poor little district 5 girl who took her sisters place for her safety, but will not win, cries in her interview. she plays dumb in the training sessions and gets a low score, but grabs a pack of throwing knives on her way out of the cornucopia. she hides in the forest and eats plants. she is easily forgotten, and gets only a few sponsors who pity her. she doesn’t really get anything of use though, she ends up sneaking back to the cornucopia to steal food and meets a tribute for 4, much bigger than her, definitely will overpower her, and she throws a knife in his throat. takes it out, gets her food, and grins maliciously at the sky. after that, she gets more sponsors, more knives, some food. bread from her district. she waits out her time hiding in the forest, occasionally picking off tributes as she comes across them alone. she ended up killing six people before the careers thought they were the last ones left and turned on each other. when the cannons started going off for them, ruth watched from a safe vantage point until only one was left, then threw a knife into the back of his head. she was the victor of the 70th hunger games.

stephanie spends her first games as a mentor with her eye on the innocent girl from 5. the two tributes from her district have no promise, and neither does the girl from five. but steph can’t shake the feeling that she got watching ruth volunteer. she knows from the start who’s going to win. at the end of ruth’s victory tour, stephanie pulls ruth aside, compliments her game, and helps her find a quiet place to breathe. they talk and quickly become friends. steph promises to help ruth get through her first mentoring season.

richie lipschitz was reaped at the age of 15 from district 11. he had absolutely no faith in himself, nor did anyone else. his brother sobbed in his arms at their goodbye, his parents, his uncle paul, they all thought it was goodbye forever and richie did too. he considered himself as good as dead the second his name was pulled. he’s half-deaf, has chronic pain, and does not have it within him to kill. his main hope is just that he gets killed quickly so it doesn’t hurt too much. he doesn’t want his family to watch him be tortured or something. in the first ten seconds, a career slices his leg open and leaves him out to bleed. he collapses and plays dead, and they assume he is. he drags himself off to a cave to die slowly, but he doesn’t. he even gets food from sponsors, he truly has no idea how it happened. apparently his utterly defeated interview made some people pity him enough to send him some food and water. he rations it out and watches the faces projected against the sky every night. the careers survive to the end, and like always, start to tear each other apart. only one boy is left, a guy from 2, who starts to go mad that he already won and hes still in the arena. he’s there’s rain, and he’s flooded out of his cave, it was only a matter of time, and is forced to come face to face with the guy who tried to kill him in the first place. the guy comes at richie with such force and aggression, his knife raised, richie closes his eyes and prepares himself for death, but the fucking idiot trips over a rock and falls, the knife landing at richie’s feet. richie picks it up, the career curses and comes chasing after him. richie, just a few moments to think, remembers the girl who won last years games with her throwing knives. he never had great aim, so when richie aimed for the guys face, the knife stuck him in the heart. he was the winner of the 71st games, and he was given a prosthetic leg to replace the deeply infected wound he had.

over the course of richie’s games, steph and ruth would watch together. as younger victors, there were other people who kept track of some sponsors and things, while they mostly prepped them during the before. the most recent victors help with game strategy. ruth sobbed when her tributes were killed, and steph just finished her drink with a grimace when hers did. once every seven hours or so, the cameras would cut to the injured boy from 11, hiding in a cave, just to remind everyone he was still alive. steph sees the wounded animal look in his eye and doesn’t think he’ll make it past the next day. but he keeps on surviving, until suddenly there are people all over the capital rooting for the injured underdog. ruth wants him to win because he seems so good, compared to the bloodthirsty careers. at the end of his victory tour, the two commandeer him from his party and show him their hangout spot when they’re back in the capitol. by the time the 72nd games start, steph and ruth both learned sign language to communicate with him more fluidly.

peter spankoffski is not the first of his family to be taken into the games. he lost his older brother to them almost ten years ago, and being only 15 he doesn’t remember him much. but he wants to honor him and he wants to do that by not dying in the games. district 9 hasn’t had a victor in a little while, so his strategy maker was the same one who had sent his brother to die. he encourages peter to play up the dead brother aspect, and peter wants to punch him badly, but he’s sure he’d just break his hand. he works in nets and edible plants, concealing yourself, anything that will help him survive the longest. he has no illusions of winning, doesn’t even bother with weapons. he made friends with a boy from district 3 named travis coulson, and the two establish an alliance once inside the arena. they work together, peter getting them food and stealth, while travis kills anyone who threatens them. travis has a high kill count, as he eventually takes down the careers and makes them the final two. peter is excited until he realizes what it means, until travis gives him a big broad smile and turns his spear to peter. he tells peter that he has more to live for, travis has no one at home and no life to return to, begs peter to kill him. peter cries as he does so, and he cries all through his interview as the victor of 72nd games.

the trio of victors have the same hard time as usual. steph drinks a lot during, ruth cries and bites her nails and throws things. it’s richie’s first time as a mentor, he watches with baited breath and solemn silence. it’s hard for them, but they’re together. when the games end, ruth makes a joke asking steph if she’s adopting this one too, and they laugh, but they all know they totally are. when peter arrives in the capitol, they hardly let him get though his first round of hellos before they’re dragging him off to their shared space. he cries to them about how horrible he feels, the blood he feels stuck to his hands, and they comfort him as best they can as teenagers who went through the same thing and have not at all healed. it’s a hard bond to break.

grace chasity is reaped at the age of 14 from district 5. ruth is her mentor, and writes her off quickly because everyone in district 5 knows grace chasity. she’s the daughter of the head peacekeeper, a goody goody, never breaks a rule, strictly does what her parents say. she’s a nerdy prude, to be frank. but she gets a pretty good training score, and starts to get this look in her eye. the same spark steph saw in ruth. when she gets in the arena, she manages to join in with the career pack and lets them protect her for a few days. they treat her like a pet, a cute thing they let follow them around, since they don’t think she’s a threat at all. she waits a few days, there’s about 10 tributes left other than her, and then she picks up a sword from the pile of weapons the careers have accumulated, and goes fucking apeshit. she kills all ten of them and it’s bloody. she comes out of nowhere and surprises everyone. it wasn’t even like she played up the innocent girl act like ruth did, she just was that girl until she wasn’t anymore.

it’s a bad games to be a mentor. they try, as a rule, not to hold it against each other if the new victors killed their tributes, but grace is purposefully violent and seems to enjoy it more than the usual careers, who are proud of their survival ability. after peters first tribute is killed in he bloodbath, and the second is taken by the careers not so long after, he tries to watch with the others and be supportive of them, but once grace starts, he can’t. ruth is excited one of her tributes won, but she’s also extremely worried for grace mentally. she still cries watching all the gory details, but she at least didn’t lose two people from home. steph worries she’s becoming too desensitized to the games, since she mainly drinks and thinks about grace’s incredible strategy. richie watches silently, just like last year, and then when it’s over has a total meltdown. peter and steph try and help calm him down, and ruth cries. it’s hard for everyone. it’s not always that bloody.

grace’s victory tour is a whirlwind. she’s a good victor for the capitol, but her tour through the districts is hard. ruth has to go with her all the way, seeing the faces of the parents of the children grace killed, seeing their anger and sadness. she helps grace through her night terrors and terrible guilt. grace keeps talking about how she was a different person in the arena, how something took over her, how god spared her but at what cost. ruth just tells her that no victor has clean hands, it’s impossible to, and she’ll find people who understand. it’s no surprise when, at the capitol party, steph materializes at grace’s elbow opposite ruth and just tilts her head towards the exit.

grace has a hollow look in her eyes that steph recognizes across the room. it’s the face of someone who doesn’t understand what happened in the arena, how it got this far. steph sees it in the mirror. she’s talking to pete at the bar when she catches her face, puts her drink down and tells pete to find richie and meet them at their spot. he falters but does , cautious about grace because of how violent she was, but trusting steph’s judgement.

they all meet in a secluded room in the capitol’s party hall, the place steph has claimed as Their spot. peter and richie have accumulated some drinks for the night, because when you’ve survived a child murder game, no one really gives a shit if you’re below the drinking age. steph and ruth bring grace in and she sits silently.

she tells them that what happened in the arena wasn’t her. they know. they understand. they’re one of a select group that do. but now they have each other.

they have each other through the war. they have each other in the aftermath. they have each other for the rest of their peaceful lives.

hi hi hi thank you for asking :D i’m super excited abt this fic and i’ve been like,,,restraining myself from talking abt it for MONTHS bc its the fic im planning to post while im writing my bachelor’s thesis and i dont have time to write fics :’) okay sorry for yapping. the fic!

it’s basically like. everything i’ve ever wanted in a fic, including:

megumi’s the bassist in a band with nobara, maki, and yuuta, and also a music major at the performing arts college

yuuji’s a film major, and also is a dj on the college radio station

parental satosugu and tsumiki, mimiko, and nanako as megumi’s sisters

also “bad influence” aunt shoko (she means well but she also got megumi hooked on cigarettes so…) and her fiancée utahime

without telling too much abt the plot bc spoilers and you’ll be waiting almost a month for the first chapter, the idea is just megumi learning about love after spending his whole life shutting everyone out due to his major childhood abandonment issues.

writing it has been a whooolee emotional journey tbh, both unpacking megumi’s character, and also unpacking that part of myself T_T so i expect it to be an overall emotional rollercoaster. megumi’s a bit of a problem child at first, but it ends up being very touching and wholesome i think.

anyway i’m very excited abt it, and you can expect the first chapter in late august/early september :)

TYSM FOR ENABLING ME ANON BC THEY ARE MY BLORBOS AND IM VIBRATING ABOUT THEM. buckle the fuck up because this is gonna be a long fucking post

Okay first up is Aeris Sharphawk- aro/ace, he/him. he's my main character, my hunter, and the Young Wolf of my timeline.

He’s half-Awoken, half-Human (I’ll get to that in a moment, he’s actually an older oc of mine that I ported over from Bloodborne whose bastard nature needed a D2 equivalent), and the older half-brother to my solar titan, Marcelline Attenbough- one of the few little remnants from their past life that they were able to discover in a diary on Marcie’s corpse when they were rezzed together (which occurred because their ghosts are twins). He’s autistic, lawful neutral, and vastly prefers using Darkness over Light because of sensory issues; his ghost (Hoarfrost, previously Mercury) mods his helmets to drastically reduce noise, but he can’t help how Arc tingles, Solar burns, and Void numbs. Tends to spend most of his battles either hyperfocused or dissociated to deal with it. As for the lawful neutral title, that’s because he doesn’t fight for the Vanguard because of a loyalty to humanity, but exclusively for the survival of the Last City and everyone in it. This extended to House Light and the Cabal under Caital instantaneously, and would do so to Eramis if she so chose, because he really just doesn’t take most things personally. He's sometimes derogatorily called 'the Vanguard's Hound' because of this.  

He’s skilled with a bow, and is cursed with a resting haunted stare that can rival even the fiercest bird of prey- hence his title, given to him because his last name wasn’t present in the little diary that Marcie had when they were rezzed. Personality wise, he’s quiet, stoic, extremely efficient at what he does, fiercely protective of those he loves, and deeply curious about the unknown- though if you don’t know him, you’d never be able to guess it, because he struggles deeply with facial expressions and tone, giving him the appearance that he’s ruthlessly cold and unfeeling (pretty much the Guardian we see in game). Because of this, he tends to do much better with Eliksni than most of humanity- bar the Awoken, though Mara makes him deeply uncomfortable- and is thus far more comfortable with them. He’s the moon to Marcie’s sun, and helps keep her in check, for despite her cheery personality, she has a very strong sense of justice and a penchant for impulsive, temperamental behavior when she thinks that justice has been wronged. This goes both ways, however, as Aeris is the very definition of ‘curiosity killed the cat’; he voluntarily gets bit by venomous snakes at venom labs to see how immunity/allergies develops over time, and has a fascination with the Vex that got him a ‘needs watching’ report after he nearly jumped into a pool of radiolaria to see what would happen. The older-brother affection isn’t related to just Marcie, though; he’s unofficially adopted Eido as his younger sister (or kid? Because uhhh that curiosity of his has extended to fucking Misraaks once or twice), and is a mentor figure of sorts to Crow, though he’s unaware that Crow idolizes him; he only hunted Uldren down to keep Marcie out of trouble, as he didn’t like Cayde and was neutral on Uldren, so seeing Crow for the first time didn’t bother him at all. Tutored on occasion by Osiris, and thus has a very deep respect for him. 

People other than Marcie that he likes:  Zavala, Ikora, Osiris, Eido, Misraaks, Eris, and Variks, Petrichor-12 (oc), Viper-4 (oc, lightless guardian), Crow

People he dislikes: Cayde, the Spider, Clovis Bray, Savathun, Mara Sov, Petra Venj (can’t read her very well), anyone who is loud or insistent or confusing

Motifs: Dark, cool blue/silver, viper and hawk symbolism

Likes: Learning about things, working with the Eliksni, being good at being a hunter, bows/glaives/swords, playing with Strand, Gambit (surprisingly)

Dislikes: Crucible, loud noises, fusion rifles, snipers because of the kick (despite being very good with them), shotguns, fans and most other guardians 

Fun fact: When Hoarfrost and Solaris found them, it was in a frigid part of old Russia, with Aeris holding Marcie close to his chest with his back to the door- they had frozen to death while trying to keep each other warm, and were under a thick layer of permafrost. When they were risen, they found out their names, their relationship to each other, and the fact that their father was a cheating bastard who produced Aeris after screwing an Awoken woman for the novelty of it because Marcie had a little diary in her front pocket, which had been somewhat preserved by the cold. Both their ghosts theorize that the reason why Aeris is so drawn to Stasis and Marcie to Solar is because of how they died, though neither guardian will say anything about it. He can also speak near-fluent Eliksni.

Then there’s Marcie, younger half-sister to Aeris and the sun to his moon; she/her, Solar Titan, lesbian, lawful good. Where he is quiet and introverted, she is loud and bombastic, and where he likes to dart in and strike down his enemies from afar, she likes to punch. I just recently made her in Destiny because the character creation doesn't really match how I see her, hence why she's got Arc on here

Unlike her half-brother, Marcie is a full human, and- according to the diary she rezzed with- was objectively her father's favorite, though the feeling was not mutual, and their relationship was strained by her taking so kindly to the bastard son he tried to send away. Compared to Aeris, she's bright, bubbly, and outgoing, but has a fierce temper, and is quick to snap if something has pushed her too far-think a jack russel's terrier of a human being. Her ghost's name is Solaris (previously Quicksilver), and she prefers the Light and Solar by far. Her preferred method of combat is to hit first, ask questions later, which can be incredibly effective or incredibly dangerous depending on who's on the opposite end of her wrath. Her and Aeris share many quests together, with me typically attributing all the seasons that I didn’t play to Marcie, given that I didn’t make a Destiny character for her for the longest time. 

She was best friends with Cayde, and was so devastated by his death that Aeris had to go instead, as she would have killed anything and everything in vengeance without a second thought. She did, however, kill Riven- something that Aeris himself was somewhat reluctant to do,given his fascination with the Ahamkara. She's stubborn as a mule, surprisingly strong despite her small stature (well, small-ish), and is an absolute massive lesbian, with her type specifically being 'big strong ladies who can kill me'- which was primarily why she wasn't allowed to fight Eramis, or other big hotties, as she has a pretty hardcore crush on her. (The second reason was that she would have stood and bickered with Eramis about the ethics of what she was doing until either one or the other yielded). Instead, she was assigned to work with Misraaks to evacuate House Light refugees, which ended up being a fortuitous partnership with the coming of the Endless Night. Now, her primary work for the Vanguard consists of aiding Eliksni refugees, along with general alien-human politics and tackling xenophobia, as well as working on being an apprentice Splicer. She is very, VERY passionate about equal rights and will drag you to the Crucible if you fight her- and good fucking luck winning against her, because she fucking loves the Crucible and will beat your ass everytime. She’s somewhat of a local celebrity in that reguard

Her deep fondness for her brother comes primarily from the fact that he is one of the few people to take her seriously without either asking her to calm down or come off as patronizing- he's also a well of stability to her excitable moods, the voice of reason to her hyperempathy. While he keeps her from biting off more than she can chew, she acts as his translator + guide, yanking him back onto the path of sanity if he starts to wander into the Deep, and helping him with dysfunction things that Hoarfrost can’t do. She also enjoys working through the data he collects, even if she has no desire to go searching for it herself, so they make a good pair- even if, like most siblings, they will argue over every little thing and sometimes drive each other up the walls with their stubbornness.

I've already mentioned that she got along with Cayde, but her other friends at the tower are Shaxx, Drifter, Saint-14, and Ada-1. Misraaks is her mentor, as well as one of the few people who can talk her down from stupid shit, with uh…questionable results. And while she couldn't stand the sight of Crow when Aeris dragged him back, she managed to befriend him reguardless, mostly because he was so different from the Uldren she remembered that she couldn’t help but accept him for who he was. She often went out drinking with him and Amanda, and was devastated when she died. 

People she likes: Cayde, Shaxx, Drifter, Saint-14, Ada-1, Misraaks, Crow, Amanda (rip), Caiatl

People she dislikes: Uldren Sov, The Osmium Siblings, The Spider, Lakshmi-2, anyone against the Eliksni or people who are rude to Aeris, Calus

Okay, now onto Petrichor-12, who decided to nope out of being a Guardian so I deleted their slot to make Marcie before I really did anything to dazzle them up

Petrichor-12 is a now-retired guardian that actually came from a dream I had before I even played Destiny. They/them or he/him, neutral good, Void titan, ghost is seldom-speaking and called Whisper. Neutral good. I attribute them with D1 content, so they’re the guardian that killed Crota and Oryx, though Marcie and Aeris were also there to help.

Petrichor is an older, somewhat quiet, melancholy do-gooder that's been haunted by guilt ever since they found out the memories of who they were via the Deep Stone Crypt- a bodyguard for Clovis Bray that was turned to a path of anger, abuse, and violence after agreeing to be tested on for power, and got corrupted by the Darkness. This, paired with being rezzed in the Dark Ages, means that they have a lot of trauma surrounding violence, power, and the dilemma of being made to kill when all you want to do is save people. As such, Eramis's predicament troubles them greatly, and while it was them who gunned her down in conjunction with Aeris, they often found themselves returning to her frozen body on Europa to talk to her (presumed corpse) about Darkness corruption in a sort of venting monologue-advice system, which worked both as a way of fending off their troubles as well as keep an eye on her state- though now that she’s defrosted they’ve vowed never come near her again out of embarrassment. 

While retired, they are a stalwart defender of anyone who needs it and a keeper of peace, driven partially by a genuine desire to do good and a need to prove themselves not the person that they used to be. No longer able to mingle with other guardians or humanity at large due to PTSD from what they learned, they live in the Botza district as an ambassador between the Eliksni and humanity, they like to knit + quilt in their free time, teaching whichever hatchlings will listen and getting tutored on weaving by old Wolves in return. They're also 6'3", so…lorge. Zavala and Misraaks are the two people they talk to the most outside of the Eliksni refugees, and they drop by to say hi to Eva and knit with her whenever they have the chance. The war with the Witness is threatning to bring them out of retirement, something that they are deeply unhappy with.

Fun fact: Petrichor-12 can speak Eliksni fluently, having modulated their voice and hearing to be able to incorporate the subsonic clicks and chirps in their speech, and is now working on learning Ulurant despite not at all liking the Cabal empire

Ash: Another dream character of mine, and my newest Guardian (so she’s somewhat of a wip). She/her, solar + void warlock, chaotic neutral to lawful evil depending on her mood. Pansexual but bitchless. Rezzed in the tail end of the Dark Ages, just long enough for her to see how horrible everything was but not long enough to see the true extent of it. Scholar of the Light, and most recently a scholar of the Dark as well.

Ash is a warlock with an awful temper, a moral code that changes on a whim, and a ravenous appetite for knowledge that comes at the cost of everyone else, including herself. Her ghost (an anxious and caring little lass) is called Nutmeg, and is pretty much the only indicator that she has a soft spot. Ash dedicated herself to learning how to get closer to the Light, but unlike the more conventional meditations that people usually do to, she was inspired by ancient Greek priestesses and decided for a more unconventional route- by doing hard drugs. By getting either extremely drunk or very high, she claims that she overcomes the need for meditation (or, rather, bypasses it entirely because she’s too impatient for it) and gains a deeper connection with her powers, as she’s connecting with it instinctually rather than choosing to seek it out. Nutmeg and many others are not as convinced about this method, but they also can’t deny that it doesn’t have its perks, as Ash does have a very powerful connection to her light- mainly through exploding things, or setting everything around her on fire. It’s how she used to survive the Warlords she’d steal from in the Dark Ages, and she’s known specifically for her ability to mimic a nova bomb, but with solar power, which is strong particularly for how unexpected it is. 

However, being constantly hungover and harbouring no friends doesn’t exactly have its benefits, and as a result Ash is almost always grumpy, abrasive, quick to anger, quick to turn to cruel jibes and mocking when being defensive (which is often), and is generally awful to be around. She has no friends other than Nutmeg (whose bond has become strained as of late, since Ash is now turning to substance abuse for coping with the impending threat of the Witness rather than simply using it for her studies), her apartment is an uncleaned shithole she only uses for crashing in when she’s particularly out of it, and she's constantly in a state of passive-aggressive warfare with Osiris, as she and him used to occasionally cross paths and share research; they might have had a student-teacher dynamic if they didn’t grate so abrasively, and if Ash wasn’t so much of a lone wolf. He’s tried to whip her into shape a couple of times, but to no avail- they just devolved into shouting matches. Pretty much the only people she listens to are the Drifter and Nutmeg, but whether or not she’ll actually take their advice is a toss-up. 

Despite this, she will overall always choose to do what's right and will begrudgingly trudge along with people in random strikes to ensure that important missions get done, as she fears failure more than she does judgment. And yet, to an extent she also fears judgment, for part of the reason why she’s so cruel is to keep people at arm’s length, so as to prevent them from learning her weaknesses- not even her constant complaining about being bitchless will cover up that the core reason why she makes no effort to clean herself up and be nicer is because she fears vulnerability. She’s also brilliant with the Light and cunningly adept with the Dark, which is why the Vanguard continues to ask for her help and expertise.   

People she likes: the Drifter, Hawthorne, Nutmeg, Eido, Toland, Shaxx to most everybody’s surprise

People she dislikes: Pretty much the whole Vanguard and 90% of other guardians, Saladin, the Iron Lords, Osiris, Misraaks,

Likes: Learning nuances of the Light that others don’t go into detail to, connecting with the Light, growing more powerful and shaping it into new, experimental Supers that would make Zavala have a heart attack if he saw them in action, taking leadership in Strikes and prodding around New Lights to teach them about what it is to be a Guardian (but gently), killing assholes to put them in their place, spooking people

Dislikes: Being told what to do, being reminded that she’s a mess, being reminded that she’s afraid and that her behavior is starting to turn self-detrimental, being looked down on by other Guardians, the restrictive nature of Vanguard protocol that keeps her from playing around with her experimental supers, guardians who have no respect or care about mortal lives, getting kicked from bars for fighting said guardians with no respect or care for mortal lives, being reminded that she has a soft side and cares so much for other people that it scares her

Colours/theme: black, flame-gold, and green

Fun fact: Likes the Hive aesthetic, and knows their tongue just for the hell of it. Has quite a bit of fun tormenting and taunting Hive Lightbearers, loves digging around the Osmium Siblings. Despite this, she’s not passionate about the Hive, and doesn’t care one bit if they’re wiped out or not. She also pretty much never takes off the Stag helm, as dropping a rift on death has saved her ass more than once, and tends to sleep in her robes. It’s a miracle that she doesn’t stink something awful, but smells perpetually like smoke instead.

and last but not least: Viper-4, an ex-guardian who I have almost nothing on because he tends to be a side character: he/him, trans exo, primarily black chassis with red markings, not yet settled on alignment. A friend of Aeris, he's an ex-Hunter who is now the primary caretaker for a variety of venomous snakes whose species have survived the Collapse. He collects their venom to try to recreate old Golden-Age medicines and antivenom- which he does with Aeris's help- and had his forearms modded with soft silicone so that the snakes don't hurt him if they bite him. Generally a friendly and chill guy, but has a melancholy air as most Ghostless do, and wants to learn Strand so that he has some modicum of control over the elements again, as his lack of feeling the Light was the hardest part about his Ghost's death. Much like Brya and Sagira, his ghost sacrificed her to save him, but he blames himself for her death and pretty much entirely refuses to talk about it. Used to be quite adept with Void. I note that he's trans here because it carried over into his exo body, as he was raised with synthetic top surgery scars that were then worked into beautiful engravings of flowers, swords, and snakes by Viper-1

Watching the door open, Eden was met with her sister’s beautiful smile. It had been a while since they had seen each other, due to Blackpink still being on tour. She wanted to catch up and spend some quality time with her sister before she had to leave again.

Evelyn pulled her in for a hug, squeezing her tightly and swaying them back and forth. “I’ve missed you so much!” 

“I missed you too, Evie.” They both pulled away, the woman inviting the girl inside her home. Eden was carrying a gift bag in her hand, showcasing it to her sister. “I got you a couple things while on tour.”

“I’m gonna have to buy a glass case to showcase all the things that Lee Eunhye has bought us.” Her sister joked as the two girls walked to the kitchen. Eden set the gift on the counter and sat down on one of the bar seats. It seemed that she had interrupted her sister who was making dinner for everyone.

“Where’s Noah?” Eden asked the woman with her eyebrows furrowed.

“He should be here any minute now. He had to drop some paperwork off at work.”

“It smells so good.” The scent filled the entire kitchen. She always wondered where her sister learned to cook, because they never learned from their own parents.

In no time, Evelyn’s husband entered the kitchen, approaching Eden to rub the top of her head with his knuckles. “Hey kiddo.”

“Hey bro.” He messed up her hair, wanting to return the favor but he walked out of her reach. He approached his wife, kissing the side of her head as he wrapped his arm around her waist. Eden felt her cheeks heat up by seeing her sister so happy.

“Could you help set the table and maybe get Eden something to drink?”

“Of course,” He turned around, pointing to Eden. “What do you want to drink?”

“Do you guys have wine?” She asked, pursing her lips when looking at him.

“Yup we do.”

“Give me the whole bottle.” She snickered.

“I guess touring has been exhausting?” Evelyn spoke up, looking over her shoulder briefly.

“Just a little. I haven’t been sleeping well.” She sighed. “Are you guys gonna have a drink too?”

The kitchen grew quiet for a few seconds. It felt like minutes had passed.

“I’ll drink with you, yeah.” Noah cleared his throat, grabbing two glasses from the cabinet.

“I haven’t been able to drink anything ever since I got plastered and threw everything up.”

“Oh, I remember that.” She cringed, looking back on the time her sister went AWOL. Her in law had to tell her himself why she was absent. She was sick for a few days, not being able to pick up her phone.

“Yeah, never again.”

They had just finished dinner, Eden and Noah having a bonding session while doing the dishes. After that, they all gathered on the sofa to watch a movie. Once it ended, Eden put down her third glass of wine on the coffee table.

The couple were sitting across from her, stretching their limbs while complimenting the movie. Eden and Evelyn giggled together when Noah took it upon himself to start massaging his wife’s feet.

“What’s so funny?” He pouted, looking between the two girls. “Doesn’t your boyfriend rub your feet?”

“He does. You two are just so cute. It’s almost gross.”

“Ya, we could say the same thing about you and Seokmin.” Eden flattened her lips, rolling her eyes while standing to her feet.

“It’s time to open my gifts. I’m getting impatient.” She felt really warm from all the alcohol she consumed, but not feeling completely drunk yet. She skipped to the kitchen where she left her gift bag and brought it back to the living room.

Eden had gotten the two of them many things from visiting all the different countries on tour. From house decor to jewelry, it felt like they were opening presents on Christmas morning. She got her brother in law some headphones that were trending these days.

“Wow! Thanks kiddo.” Evelyn looked at how his eyes lit up. He was a responsible, grown man but he still had his moments where he acted like a little boy.

“Don’t mention it.” She smiled, sipping more from her wine glass.

“Speaking of gifts…” Evelyn looked intently at the man beside her. “We got you a little something.”

“But you didn’t have to get me anything!” She feared that they would one her up with their gift.

“Oh hush. Honey, it’s in my closet. Can you please get it?” She smiled, watching him bite his lip as he was on his way to their bedroom.

“Evie, You really didn’t have to get me anything.”

“Stop being so humble and accept the gift. Or I will give you everything you just got us back.”

“But I like the headphones!” He returned with a big box, setting it down on the coffee table in front of Eden.

From the familiar name, she knew it was going to be an expensive bag. “Evelyn.”

He sat down next to Evelyn, holding her hand while admiring his new headphones. “Don’t make me scold you in front of Noah. Open it.”

“It’s a gift from both of us, by the way.” He raised his eyebrows to remind her, knowing that if it was a gift from him she couldn’t possibly refuse it.

She had plenty of handbags that have accumulated over the years. Now she wasn’t going to use any other bag than the one in the box in front of her.

She lifted the lid off of the box, being met with pink tissue paper. Pulling the paper back revealed the beige crossbody bag. It seemed like the perfect size for her and she loved all the embroidery on it. She turned to Evelyn, pouting while her sister simply smiled at her.

Eden walked over to hug the two of them quickly before sitting back down across from them. She pulled the bag out of the box and admired how nice it was.

“It’s so nice, thank you guys.”

She didn’t see the way they looked at each other as she started going through all the pockets, unzipping them all and removing all the wrapping paper they put inside.

She set the balls of tissue paper next to her, a grin on Eden’s face as she reached down to the deepest part of the bag. She picked up what she thought was a strap that came with the bag, looking down at the pregnancy test in her hands.

It took her one second to process what she was holding, seeing the two lines to indicate that it was positive. Eden gasped loudly, slapping her hand against her mouth before shooting her eyes over at them.

“Shut the fuck up.” She felt her heart drop to the depths of her stomach, her muscles becoming jelly and feeling her hands start to shake. It wasn’t too long before the tears started to pool in her eyes.

“Surprise!” Her sister had a devilish grin on her face.

“Are you serious?” Eden’s voice climbed a few octaves, muffled against the palm of her hand.

“Yes! I’m pregnant.” She nodded, Evelyn trying to hold back her own tears.

“You’re pregnant?” Her voice cracked into a whisper, still in disbelief.

Over the years, she watched her sister fall in love with the man sitting next to her now. The two had always confided in each other their entire lives. Evelyn had been there for all Eden’s ups and downs, especially when she had many pregnancy scares. Their support for one another was what made their relationship so special.

After their wedding, they knew they wanted to get straight to business. But it took more time and a toll on the couple as planned. She was there for every negative and false positive so she witnessed how frustrating and painful it was for the two. She tried her best to comfort her even when they started considering doing IVF.

Knowing everything they went through to get to this moment right now only made Eden more emotional.

She set the test down on the coffee table, getting up to hug her once more. Evelyn held her head in her hands, rubbing her back as the youngest sobbed onto her shoulder.

“I-I don’t know what to say. You’re really pregnant?”

“Yes!” She told her again, hugging her trembling body. “I’m 8 weeks along.”

She was still crying so hard that her makeup began to run. When she pulled away, Evelyn’s eyes were teary too. She wiped Eden’s tears away, rubbing the smudged makeup on her pants.

During their moment, the man started tearing up too. He laughed at himself, pulling the ultrasound pictures out of his pocket and handing it to her.

“Look, you’re gonna be an aunt.” It looked as if she just found the news out all over again. She was so caught up in feeling overjoyed for her sister finally being pregnant that she completely forgot this meant she was going to be an aunt.

She widened her eyes, covering her mouth with both of her hands as she shook her head. “I’m gonna be an aunt?” She wept quietly, squeezing her eyes shut as her whole body shook. “There’s really a baby in your belly? Why did you wait so long to tell me?”

“So we could have this moment of course.” Evelyn wrapped her arms around her neck, pulling in Noah to hug her too.

“Oh my god, I can't believe this. I’m so happy for you!” Her voice was once again muffled on her shoulder. “Does mom and dad know?”

She nodded. “We told them over a video call last week. Surprisingly, dad cried more than her.”

“Did he really?”

“She’s so excited. She’s already bragging to everyone about being a grandma.”

Once Eden was finally able to calm down, she found herself staring at the pregnancy test again. In the past, she hoped she wouldn’t ever have to see one of these again. Today, all she could feel was happiness.

She cracked a joke to lighten the mood. “So I can keep the bag right?” She sniffled as they busted into laughter.

“The bag was my idea.” Noah raised his hand with a smirk on his face.

Eden chuckled, hugging the woman again but being extremely gentle this time. “I’m so happy for you. You don’t even know.”

“Thank you so much.”

“You’re gonna be an amazing mom. I am certain.” She had cried so much that her nose was stuffed and her eyes were red. Because of her words, the woman’s lips started to quiver.

“Wait, you gotta help me tell the girls. And Seokmin!”
