A mysterious cloaked figure approaches, slowly and hands slayed open to show they mean no harm. They pull a small crystal out of their pocket, which glows with an unnatural light, and a piece of paper with instructions on how to use it to teleport to a safe location if needed.

"There are things out there, Bean," the figure says, "Things that I believe are yet to be vanquished. Keep this on you at all times. It will respond only to your call. We do not expect you to trust us, but we swear to never fail you again." And then, the figure is gone, leaving only the faint smell of metal and a box of store-bought donuts behind.

so i did a shit ton of homework over the weekend and yesterday so i’d have a lot of writing time. i went to bed on time last night to make sure i’d get enough sleep.

my body would not let me sleep until after two in the morning and then i woke up at 7:30 only to find out my plans got cancelled. could not fall back asleep. i have the world’s biggest headache and my arm hurts from getting my flu shot yesterday. i desperately want a box of donuts.

but. i’m gonna do my best to write today because the upcoming content is going to be so fucking worth the agonies
