I complain about wanting male attention bc of my daddy issues and then when I get perceived in any sort of way by a man I’m like I’ve been doubly victimized …. This is the worst, most blasphemous thing to have ever happened to me ……. The nerve on you to think you can speak to me …………….

Satoru lays only the softest kiss on your forehead after he carefully tucks you back in bed and made sure you had something to eat and warm to drink when you wake up with the sniffles, a sore throat and a splitting headache. He postpones his mission/teacher duties the same morning by relaying to Ijichi that something urgent came up and in his words you need him by your side to take care of you. There will be no buts, what-ifs games with him even when you try to assure him you’d be fine on your own because you are his precious baby and what kind of boyfriend would that make him had he left you all alone knowing how terrible you feel?

Thinking about how if Shermy Pines. And like, if he is the baby, he’d be born in the 1970s and be 40 by 2012 and he’s already a grandad. He had to be a teen dad in the 80s (after a severe economic recession) and then his kid ended up being a teen parent by 1999 (Which is 8 years before ANOTHER SEVERE ECONOMIC RECESSION LOL)
Also he was born into a pretty broken family, probably rarely if ever saw his brothers. Do you think he ever saw Stanley before he had to start pretending to be Ford? Do you think Ford visited from college??? Because he didn’t seem confident facing his father until he made millions, so like???
And, like, do you think Filbrick and Caryn changed as parents by the time they raised Shermy? Because it seems like a trend that as parents get older they mellow out a bit, so Shermy probably has a completely different experience with their parents then Stan and Ford, and talking to them is just “is this seriously the same parents???” (Imagine the silent resentment that’d cause 😭😭😭)
Personally I headcannon that Shermy had a daughter (Mabel and Dipper’s mom) and not a son like it says on the wiki because c’mon. Can he just have a daughter. Idk why this is important to me but… c’mon. Can he just have a daughter. It just feels right to me.

i love how fraught and complicated discourse around various utena characters ‘dying’ is when anthy is literally stabbed to death eternally by a million swords imbued with human hatred. and then utena gets stabbed to death by them also. like. ‘death’ is incredibly interesting in rgu because most of the time it’s this ambiguous figurative thing that has interesting implications re: ohtori as a closed-off world one can escape. we are all trapped in our coffins. mamiya is the only named character with a grave. nemuro memorial hall functions as one all the same. ruka is implied to have died in the hospital— was he dead all along? who was the boy we saw for these two episodes? is this dead boy the same boy, or is this just another coincidence from the shadow girls, cutting like a knife? it’s heavily implied that akio and anthy murder kanae by poisoning her, adding to the previous implication that they were poisoning mr ohtori too, but there are no perceptible consequences of this. kanae’s absence is not felt. she’s fed an apple slice. what happens to the bodies? we know what happened to the 100 boys, but what about everyone else? and so on and so forth. ‘death’ is a tricky thing in utena, i think it’s constantly functioning on figurative and literal levels in very different ways for very different purposes. dios died. dios was dying. dios didn’t die. he grew up. etc etc

do you know how fucking infuriating it is to go into the duke tag for posts abt one of my favorite characters only to be met with post after post of people who don't gaf abt him but want to pretend that they do by deciding to project their lack of interest in him onto the story itself. by saying over and over and over and over that the only way he fits into the dynamic of his family is by being fucking "normal" when that literally isn't the case. like it's fully entirely made up. pick up one comic with him in it, any at all and that's disproven. he only exists to juxtapose their chaos, their trauma, their quirkiness. I think that reply pissed me off so bad I reached my breaking point. it's already so hard to find any content of him at all but the stuff people make is always, always discrediting him entirely.
