How do historians view Eustace Chapuys' description of Anne Boleyn? It is said that most people think he is exaggerating?Researchers at Anne Boleyn seem to have significant differences… The biographies of Mary I seem to fully agree with his records

I'd actually push back on the latter claim. Academic biographies > pop history biographies tend to give Chapuys, at best, a 'perhaps' re: his claims about Anne as a stepmother, at the least...

For example:

"Perhaps at Anne Boleyn's instigation, but certainly with the King's active support, Mary was several times pressured to acknowledge the illegality of her mother's second marriage, her own illegitimacy and the precedence now due to her infant sister."

(realize this is technically not an excerpt from a Mary I biography, but Judith M. Richards' on Mary I basically states the same, that at most Lady Shelton was there to "keep a particularly close eye" on Mary...and even that instruction, she attributes to Thomas Cromwell, not 'Queen Anne')

"For an illegitimate royal offspring, Mary enjoyed a level of household status that was generous and indicative of Henry's personal affection for her. why is the Imaginarium Theater giving me Xinyan as a "pyro" character? She is physical? like yeah Eula is "cryo" and Razor is "electro" but I wouldn't have a problem with them with these elements what am I supposed to do with Xinyan??

Nick himself said that his knowledge is confined to the leaks prior to s4, the s4 scripts from his verified source (likely within a source) and basic knowledge most fans paying attention have been able to formulate about s5 based on what has been released officially/unofficially, trends from Netflix and common sense.

He is saying based on all that, he doesn’t think byler is happening. 

And if we think back to what the Duffers themselves shared in the 4x09 script, it literally implies Mike’s monologue worked, and that it was entirely genuine. This tells me that the script the Duffers released for Emmy consideration, is not that far off from what Nick saw for himself. 

I think it’s likely Nick got something that the average below the line worker might manage to get their hands on if they tried hard enough. A copy they know they have to water-down to prevent these very situations from happening.

Unfortunately for the Duffers, it just so happens that they didn’t scrub their watered down copy hard enough.

Unfortunately for Nick, he admitted that it’s possible and even likely that the production will release things that aren’t exactly accurate with the sole purpose to lead fans sleuthing astray, without realizing it may have ironically already happened to him.

The out-of-touch, unengaging, and uninspired marketing for Swat Kats Revolution just makes me sad, above all else. They keep pushing something that clearly isn't pulling in the money they need it to, and they desperately need to hire someone who knows how to use social media as a marketing platform.

the rat saga continues (it might hopefully be over? i have not heard a rat in like. three days?) in that i was washing everything in my wardrobe (smelled like rat) and i discovered that one of my favourite dresses has been ripped up by their claws :( was my bridesmaid dress for my close friend :( the fabric was deadstock but the place it came from are doing a shout out to see if they can find a metre for me to cut a new front panel - otherwise i'm gonna have to get real good at embroidery real quick

And as a disabled student who won’t be able to work alongside studying? My economy is uh limited

Unexpected shit that happened today: As I was about to leave for work today my junior boss calls me:

"Are you already on the way?"

"No, but I was about to leave."

"Oh good. Does your stepfather have a jigsaw that you can bring?"

"A what?"

I work in a grocery store... We sell food and the occasional tool, our weekly non food special is usually bags or mugs though. What on earth do we meed a jigsaw for? I tell her I'll call my stepfather and ask where it is but I might be a few minutes late. I call my stepdad:

"Hey I need a jigsaw for work"

"What?"

"My junior boss called and asked if I could bring a jigsaw but I don't know where it is. Is it ok if I take it?"

"It's in the basement, about eye level. What do you need to saw?"

"I don't know I didn't ask. Thanks"

That thing was NOT eye level for me, we forgot to take into consideration that I'm a good bit shorter, it was above my head. Apparently we got a new cooler at work but it was delivered in a nailed and screwed shut wooden frame that we couldn't open. One jigsaw and hammer-turned-crowbar later we manage to lift the 160kg mofo out of the frame. Best work call I've ever gotten, I had the time of my life dismanteling that thing.

not to be about opera again but to be about opera again. as an art form it has the reputation of being super stuffy and something for snobs who don't know how to have fun only but honestly this was one of, perhaps even THE main theatrical entertainment for centuries. i wish people knew how hard these things can go and how engaging they can be. like characters kill and die and fight wars and (almost) commit human sacrifice left and right. characters fall in love they mourn they're ecstatic they cry they're furious it's an extremely dramatic and emotional art form! and i understand that opera does not appear approachable bc of the general conventions of the art form but i promise old works can be fun and engaging if you go watch them with some preparation beforehand (reading the libretto helps) - not to mention not all operas are old bc there are so many modern operas which engage with topical events! also the music slaps.
