If there was one thing everybody around Spider-Society knew, it's that Miguel was super strict and almost always being serious. He was known for being harder on younger spider people. While you were the polar opposite, you were nice and understanding, and loved to joke around from time to time. You were known for being someone younger spider people could come too.

So with that being said, the younger spider people, as in Miles, Pav, Hobie, and Gwen could always come to you for safety whenever Miguel was about to scold them. For example, just yesterday Miguel was about to get on all four of them for almost jeopardizing a mission.

"Miguel we understand what you're saying but-" Gwen started only get cutoff by Miguel who has his hands on his hips and a frustrated look on his face.

"No! You clearly don't understand! You 4 show me time after time again that you can't be trusted going on a mission together because all you do is-!" Miguel is then interrupted by YOU this time. Except this time, he goes quiet by himself. Your presence was enough to shut him up whenever he got to talking crazy. Cause if there was one thing about you, you did not play about those kids.

"Miguel, leave them babies alone! They ain't did nothing wrong!" You intervened, not letting him get in another word of scolding in. Miles and Hobie couldn't help but stifile a laugh at your intrusion which caused Gwen and Pav to bump shoulders with the two while also trying to stop themselves from laughing.

Miguel's eyes narrowed at your interruption, a mix of frustration and resignation evident in his expression. He knew better than to argue with you when you adopted that protective stance towards the 4 younger spider kids.

You stepped forward, placing a hand on Miguel's arm in a gesture of both reassurance and defiance. "Look, I get it, Miguel. You want to keep them safe, and that's admirable. But they're still learning, and they need room to make mistakes and grow. We were all in their shoes once."

Miguel let out a sigh, his initial frustration giving way to a more measured contemplation. He glanced at the group of 4 once more before finally nodding, acknowledging the truth in your words.

"You're right," he admitted, his tone softer now. "They do need both sides of the coin. I'll work on finding a better balance."

A collective sigh of relief escaped from the younger spider people as they realized they had been spared from a severe scolding. They exchanged grateful glances and offered you appreciative smiles.

"I know I'm right, now watch your mouth when you speaking my kids like that." You playfully said rolling your eyes. You then turned towards the group of four, "How about we go get some ice cream? My treat!"

hi! i love reading the discussions you have about twilight. i was wondering, what do you think Bella’s career would be if she cared enough to have one? ik Stephanie said teacher, but that seems really ooc for Bella tbh. can’t see her wanting to be a housewife for long either, especially when recipe grows up and leaves. i could see her as a writer maybe, though im not sure about the type of books she’d write (vampire romance ?? 😭). also maybe something with book stores or libraries. teaching seems like an extroverted job, and she’s the opposite of that.

You're right that SM said that Bella had planned to become a teacher. She said that her mother's career was the one thing Bella admired about Renee, but that Bella wanted to teach older kids, so like high school. But I agree with you that doesn't really seem like a Bella thing to do. Bella doesn't even like high school students while she IS one herself, I don't see her enjoying that kind of work at all.

Although to be fair I know lots of people who sort of had a vague idea about "becoming a teacher" because they didn't know what else to do with their area of interest (in this case, Bella's love of reading) but then when they took their first education classes in college they were like "yikes, nope, not for me." So this might have happened to Bella eventually.

I definitely feel like the bookstore idea is more her speed. She's actually pretty organized and practical so I think she could run a small business no problem, and she does seem to take some pleasure in keeping things running even though she shouldn't have had to do so on behalf of her parents. It would probably be more fun and rewarding for her when it's a choice. Could totally see her dabbling in writing on the side but feeling like "oh it's not any good" given her self-esteem issues, but eventually a friend (Jacob? Angela? maybe even Mike or Jess but I don't feel like she'd trust them enough to show them her writing) would encourage her to try and publish.

Now if this is all happening in a world where she did marry Edward and become a vampire, then the Cullen money would make this bookstore thing super easy, barely an inconvenience. Edward would just buy the cutest bookstore and have Bella take over, but it would feel kind of hollow, like she's just "playing bookstore" because she didn't have to try. And of course Edward would get her books published under a fake name and . . . you know, maybe that's how Twilight exists in the first place.

Libraries are also a good option! I am myself a librarian so I speak with some authority on this, haha. I think Bella would do great with some of the behind-the-scenes work like cataloging (which was my previous job) or collection development (Selecting and Buying the stuff, which is my current job) or maybe even shelving books, but she'd HATE the more customer-facing stuff like programming, circulation, reference. At my library even those of us with behind-the-scenes jobs do have some time on the service desks helping patrons, and as an introvert it's not my favorite but most library jobs start there. Almost everyone I know got their foot in the door of the library with some part time circulation desk job and then worked up to something better and I don't know if Bella makes it past that hurdle. The library is about being there for the community and meeting THEIR needs; a bookstore she could set up to her own tastes.

"oh my god I love it! thank you-" you exclaim, your voice muffled into his neck as you punctuate your gratitude with kisses. he laughs. he actually lets out a giggling, bubbling laugh. he can't remember the last time he laughed like that, felt like this. if you start to feel guilty, or like you couldn't possibly accept it, he'll stop you right there. "if you keep that up, I'll buy you one in every color." and it works because of course it does. it's Logan.

that almost immediately becomes your favorite bag. you use it every day for everything. Logan watches in loving admiration as it follows you on dates, on nights at his place, nights at yours. he watches fondly as the leather grows less stiff, as it gets little wrinkles and crinkles. he watches as you tie a ribbon onto the handle, and later when some stickers show up on the side. he loves ever sign of wear and tear, ever sticker and stain and keychain it collects, becuase each new mark means you've spent more and more time together.

normally time progressing spent with one person would freak him out. it would make him feel suffocated, get itchy feet. but not with you. not with your birkin. he starts looking forward. he's determined to make it to the day, to be the one to replace it for you when you decide it's finally on its last legs. he wonders if that's what marriage feels like, what it's like to start a family. to feel so nostalgic for how things were but so eager to how things will be, all while soaking up every moment of exactly how they are.

“I know…I know…I‘ll get us out of this,” he promises his brother, walking down the familiar hallways he had grown up in, the walls that his brothers tortured him in, walking into the dining hall and taking his seat, placing the young child on his lap, ignoring the talk of his brothers

Reader munches on the food Sanji passes to him as he huddles close to him, trying to shield himself with his wings to avoid the crude commentary of his family

“Just ignore them,” he whispers to the boy, rubbing his wings, gently stroking his hair, shielding him from the insults,

“These idiots aren’t worth it.”

“Okay”

Niji soon notices that his insults are not reaching his brother, so he switches his anger to the head cook, berating her for making them ‘vile food.’

Commanding her to stay still, with a sadistic grin on his face, he aims his plate and lunches it towards her face until Sanji quickly moves Reader from his lap, placing him on their chair, as he steps in front of Cosette to stop the incoming plate.

“Just what do you think you are doing, you bastard?” he hisses at his older brother, protecting the cook and shielding her from harm.

Reader Awe at his brother's actions grin growing when he sees Sanji bend down, turning towards Cosette and complimenting her on the food

Cosette chuckles nervously. She’d seen them react violently to her cooking before, but Sanji’s reaction was one she’d never seen before, his compliment catching her off guard, causing her to turn a faint pink color, her cheeks rosy.

Reader’s cheer soon changed into warning screams, seeing as Niji stomped towards him, aiming a kick his way

“Sanji-nii!!”

Sanji quickly turned around at the sound of the screams, having no time to make a move as his brother’s leg was brought rapidly down only to stop right in front of Sanji as his father ordered him to stop

“Let me go!” The boy screams, flapping his wings furiously, struggling against Judge’s grasp as he takes hold of him

“ Your mistakes keep growing. May I attribute that to this amalgamation here and this man?” he said, shoving a picture of Zeff and Reader for Sanji to look at, the sound of the child’s wings still echoing around the rooms as they struggle against the man’s grip

“I suggest you cooperate with the marriage to Pudding lest you want both of their heads rolling at your door,” he said, dropping Reader, watching him flutter back to Sanji

He walks out of the room, the rest of his children following him, glancing back at Sanji, who by now has kneeled down to comfort The child

“Make sure tomorrow’s ceremony goes without a hitch, you know what we are capable of,” he said, leaving the room

Sanji was left staring at the floor in shock and anger and then at his brother’s teary and fear-filled eyes

After a minute, he had collected himself; he looked back at Reader, his hand petting his wings gently

“ It’s going to be fine, it‘s going to be fine… ” he tells him, placing his arm around him, trying to protect him as much as he possibly could.

“I’m sorry! I’m sorry, Sanji-nii!”

“No, there’s nothing to apologize for; I promise you’re not doing anything wrong, okay?” Sanji says softly, brushing his wings and playing with his hair gently to soothe them

“But now, because I’m here, they are making you do things you don’t want to do!”

“ Hey, hey, listen to me, you hear me? “ he says softly,

“This is not your fault, do you understand? This is not your fault,” repeating himself,

“This is not. Your. FAULT! You got that?”

“Bu-

“No buts! Understand?” Sanji says firmly, grabbing hold of his wrists, stopping them from saying another word,

“ I said it’s not your fault. Am I clear?”

“O-okay,” he nods, rubbing at his eyes, trying to rid himself of the tears not cascading from them

“Will Papa Zeff be okay?”

Sanji sighs softly,

“ I promise I will make sure the old fart is okay,” he whispers to his little brother, his eyes shining with determination.

“Do you trust me?”

“Yeah.. but I don’t know what’s going on, im scared. Why did Big Brother fight Uncle Luffy? Why did we have to leave the straw hats? Why did they want you to marry that woman? And why are you wearing cuffs?”

Sanji's heart sinks when he hears his brother start asking questions. He knew it was only a matter of time before he started asking questions, and he deserved to know the truth, but he was not so sure the harsh honesty of reality is something he could take, so he decided to hold most of the facts back.

“It’s… it’s complicated, ” he begins, his tone is serious as he continues,

“ Just know that all of this will be resolved soon...”

“ I promise I’ll answer all your questions later, but right now, we have to stay focused, okay?” he whispers softly to his brother, caressing his chin with his finger gently.

“I need you to be brave, just for a little bit longer, okay? “ he says, his voice a gentle, soothing tone as he takes his little brother’s hand and stands up, placing him on his feet,

“ I know I can count on you, don’t I?

“Yeah”

Sanji smiles, hugging the small boy

“Thank you. This is why you’re my favorite.”

“That’s because your brothers are assholes, Sanji-nii.”

Sanji’s head snaps to the toddler, shocked at his words, eventually letting out a baffled chuckle

“Normally, I would have you in timeout for using those words, but I ‘ll let it slide in this situation.”

He smiles mischievously, his eyes still tear-filled, and his body stiffed with the exchange they had had with Judge

“Im glad Big Brother is not an ass like the skittle men.”

“Okay, don’t push it.”

HAIII!!! ive been browsing your blog a lot recently and i love your writing sm!!! i wanted to ask if you'd be interested in writing the brothers (+ datables, luke, and others, if youd like!) living with an mc who is obsessed with plants? like to the point where the HoL has at least a few plants in every room? idk i just think it'd be interesting to see how human world plants behave in the devildom, and if special equipment (think grow lights, nutrient rich soil, etc) would need to be involved! im also picturing mc ordering plants off of (human world) ebay and the sender being confused like "wtf who is this what is the House of Lamentation"

UAAHHH first of all i love the idea of more noticable differences in the human realm vs the devildom and the game (understandably) keeps it more toned down and appealing to the average connoisseur.

like i own a few plants and have a small garden, and they stay alive and well in my house. bcs i live on earth. But. the devildom being soooo different in terms of soil and atmosphere… delectable.

i may make more stuff involving this idea but for now..

moving on (~500 words):

It’s been a rough few weeks in the Devildom, and not for the reasons many may suspect. It’s not the literal demons, rather the environment, more specifically the death that seems to cling to the air. The atmosphere, both in and outside of the House of Lamentation is suffocating.

It’s not like a couple of house plants would fix this issue, but perhaps the placebo of having some fresh living plants from the human realm would help ease the atmosphere.

Eventually you build up the courage to knock on Mammon's door to ask about and if he could get you an indoor plant. You aren’t picky, truly. After a little discussion you leave a victor, with Mammon having assured you he’d get you the best plant he can find.

It’s a dinky thing and looks like broccoli, but you love it. It’s green, a far cry from the toxic purples and deep blues that the Devildom flora holds. It’s home.

And what is Mammon to do when he sees the look on your face when he gave you that plant, but to get you more? He’s a weak demon! (for you alone.)

The others catch on, save for Lucifer (too closed off to associate so intimately with you), and Belphegor (trapped).

It starts small, Asmo presenting you with a bundle of live herbs he had imported from the human realm, assuring that they’d help with getting your beauty sleep. Beelzebub would occasionally gnaw on some of the leaves in your room, so together you grow some lettuce, so he would avoid getting a tummy ache from the inedible plants.

While you were doing some schoolwork for RAD in the library Satan had sat across from you, a large encyclopedia in his hands, detailing all human realm plants and their care and upkeep. He explains that he noticed your interest in keeping plants and is here to offer his assistance with acquiring and maintaining your collection.

Having all the plants around really does help improve your mood. It provides a hobby and a connection to nature that cannot be replicated elsewhere.

Though you may have underestimated how much space your room has, because it’s a battlefield trying to navigate your bedroom without knocking a vase or pot over. It seems your tripping as you try and place a eucalyptus (a gift from Mammon) had gathered some attention from a hallway passerby.

Lucifer stares.

He doesn’t visit your room often, but he’s fairly certain the only human realm plant they had installed was a tree, not whatever jungle you have going on. And jungle is a bit of an understatement.

You’d roped Leviathan into helping you set up some moss and algae tanks, just to add to the green that is your room.

“This is a fire hazard, MC.”

And with that, your greenhouse of a room gets spread throughout the HoL, a few plants in each room. It is a little frustrating to have to walk the whole length of the house when you need to water them and give them the concoction Solomon mixed up for you to help the plants not wither away in the hellish environment.

One of the things you and I and everyone else are entitled to is an opinion. Some people liked her IFTA look, some did not. I sometimes post “fashion,” but have no expertise in that field, and I don’t necessarily like or dislike the garments or jewellery or footwear or accessories, or how they’re worn.

As for Standing Ground’s collections, unsupported breasts and nipples abound. I’d like to say it’s by design (wee pun), but I don’t know if it’s the designer’s intent in keeping with his natural scheme or if it’s the model’s choice to go braless. (If I were writing in DM, this is where I would say, “Blah blah blah.”)

What I do know, if I owned “the IFTA” dress and could wear it the way I chose, I would be wearing a bra. Everybody, every body, is different.

Most of the time, when I disagree with an opinion, I silently 🙄 or 🤦🏻‍♂️ or 🤯 or 🤬 or 😂, and scroll along my merry way. The odd time when I both 🤬 and chime in is when someone says it’s their opinion Caitríona is not married to Tony.

LMAO. justice for my nier fic!!! it's good!! i want to say everyone should read it because i do think that but i also don't think it's very representative of my typical work at all.

anyway a story about something that is too good to be true (in the vein of nier fic).

i actually thought that would be too hard to think about but. and honestly, i'm sure there's a fic like this out there already lmao.

so uh. lmao.

reader is a non sorcerer who comes from a rich household, and seeks out the monk suguru geto after they think they've been cursed (which they have). i want to say that they are... anxious during their first meeting; they've heard about this man and how he strikes fear into the hearts of even the most rich and powerful of men.

but when they meet him, he's not only handsome, but cordial to boot. he collects the curse and sends reader on their way without too much fuss once they've paid for his services.

and that would be that if reader didn't keep getting cursed over and over, and they visit geto over and over, and he is not only handsome and cordial, but he's charming, and kind. and reader starts to fall in love with him.

geto can tell too, he's no stranger to people feeling this way about him, and he's not above manipulating the emotions of non-sorcerers if they have stuff he wants (money and curses to harvest), so he plays into it a little. i'm a romantic at heart so i do want to think that maybe he did grow a little fond of them but at the end of the day, they're still. a monkey. :'D

anyway, as reader's visits to geto continue, concerned parties (people they know mostly) start to warn them that he's using them and that he doesn't really care and i want to say that reader dismisses them, but i don't want them to be that dumb, so they kind of take those words into consideration, and like, they can kind of see what people are saying but it's hard to really... stomach when he is just so nice and charming, but in the back of their mind they start to think something is wrong, but at the same time they. don't want to think about it because it really does feel like geto really cares about them.

anyway, things really come to a head when the person who has been cursing reader finally goes off the deep end and they try to just kill reader. maybe they're a suitor reader turned down who has finally decided if they can't have reader then no one can. they start chasing after reader and reader calls geto for help, but it goes to voice mail. and not like... after ringing a bunch of times, it goes to voice mail in the way that you can tell someone just sent you to voice mail

and at that moment reader realizes geto never really cared for them at all.

the suitor catches reader and drags them to an alley to kill them and after they think they've done it (reader is dying but not actively dead) they realize what they've done and try and scamper off

but.

geto actually does show up and he kills the suitor then and there. very mercilessly and then

Footsteps, soft yet scratchy against the asphalt approach your bleeding body. You try and turn your head to look, but you can't seem to get your body to listen, to obey. The sound stops and the person squats down, moving so that they enter your field of vision. It's Geto. Your lips twitch as a smile tries to make it's way onto your face. "...so you came after all." "...did you think I wouldn't?" he asks and you wonder if you're imagining his voice sounding gentle. You must be; he has no need to be paying you any sort of lip service any more, not with you at death's door. "...I don't... have anything to offer." It's a struggle to even speak, but you would hate to leave his questions unanswered when he came all this way. His gaze is unreadable as he stares at you, then, after a moment, he tilts his head and frowns. "No... I suppose not." You let out a weak chuckle. "...sorry to have wasted your time." If this were back at his compound, or perhaps if he even felt a fraction of emotion toward you, you think he'd be kind and tell you that it wasn't a waste. But he says nothing, his silence speaking the truth of how he feels. What a fool you've been. Not that it matters now. "...in my bag... I think i have about... five hundred thousand yen," you say slowly. "...is that enough... to ask for you to embrace me?" Geto frowns, disgust marring his handsome features. "...sorry," you mumble. Your eyes are staring to feel heavy, your thoughts growing more and more blurry. "I just... wanted you to hold me... even just..." Your time runs out before you finish your sentence, before you can feel Geto's fingers brush against the fading warmth of your cheek. Hours later, when your body is found, your personal effects are found along side you. Untouched and undisturbed.

“There we go Angel, last one.” Rossi gives you a warm grin while placing the last of the wrapped gifts beside you, there’s so many, all deemed to be an ‘early christmas present’ from your caregiver that can’t help but spoil you.

“Rossi! That’s so much!” You know he has the money to spoil you, there’s been many occasions that he’s proved it, but you’re a little hesitant to accept everything.

“Nonsense, only the best for you.” An encouraging grin before you tentatively take one of the boxes in your hand, quickly squealing in excitement at the stuffie that’s revealed when you pluck the lid off.

“Thank you!” Instead of accepting your thanks, Rossi places another box in your hands, motioning for you to keep going.

Eventually you’re able to make your way through all the gifts, a growing collection of brand new toys stacking up beside you as you do. Dolls, stuffies, trucks, cars, fake kitchen gadgets, coloring books, new comics and anything you could ever want. It’s more than enough.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” You tumble into Rossi’s arms quickly, squeezing tightly around him with an unbreakable smile, he instant reciprocates while murmuring small about how much he cares for you and how you deserve it all.

A Tiny Adventure ~ I've spent the last several weeks playing the shit out of Pikmin 4 and holy shit I love it sm. It scratches that itch of cute little guys (lookin at u rock pikmin i want like 50 of them), absolutely beautiful environments and somewhat chill gameplay of collecting little trinkets and seeing your collection grow over time. I have never really played that much Pikmin in the past but after this I can now say I am definitely a fan and I fully plan on playing the others. I will be releasing an alternate version of this piece as a print featuring the Rookie on my Etsy so keep an eye out for that :)

I think Camila does prefer physical media; she is well aware of the impermanence of digital files (she's an expert at making digital files disappear, after all), so she likes to have her favourite shows and movies tangible and available to her.

I don't thinknshe ever planned on telling her girls her nickname for them. I think she was going to keep that as something silly to chuckle to herself over.

However, it slips out when she gets sick. Her girls are taking care of her, and they ask her if she wants to watch something, and she mumbles that she just wants them to all stay with her, because they're her favourite box set.

They don't press Cam on it then; it's not fair to do that in her state, and she's always so careful with them when they're vulnerable with her so they extend her the same courtesy.

When she's feeling better though, they ask her to elaborate. (They're all delighted by the name, Ava in particular loves it).

Cam explains that they're all kind of like chapters in each other's lives.

Lilith is her Volume 1, where it began, maybe a little rough but all the more beloved for it.

Bea is Volume 2. A more stable footing has been found, and there are still some issues to polish out, and maybe it's a little angsty, but still pretty hopeful for the future.

Ava is Volume 3. The wild card. Could be super serious, could be off the wall wacky. You never know, and that's what makes it fun.

Cam considers herself the slip-sleeve that holds the set together. They'd be find on their own, but isn't it nicer when they're all together with something to hold them?

idk if it's a thing elsewhere but at the dollar store in my town growing up they'd always have a big bargain bin of dvds for old movies and whenever I had a few spare bucks of allowance my mom would let me pick one out. Anyway I think whenever they had a few bucks to spare, Camila's mom let her pick out a DVD so she ends up with her own little collection and that's why she still loves physical media.

considering both alters have completely forgotten their names, Neko Zombie has basically become a "collective" name for them.

The host is y'know, Neko Zombie. The ambitious, rebellious cat deeply determined to help anyone achieve the goal he can never, get the hell out of Gregory House.

The cohost is a prosecutor, they are responsible for Neko Zombie's "wild facade". They are completely nonverbal, only making noises of that of a aggressive cat. completely driven by instinct, anger, and an overwhleming amount of fear. They are not evil, though. Only wanting to protect the body, and survive.

..if competition meant trapping lost souls in a purgatorial hell of a hotel. He had second guest type situation. Being unwillingly transported to a hotel than just after you try to escape it you're just. Interrogated into the family like a fucked up toxic found family.

The competiting hotel in question, was definitely more professional and more fancier like then gregory house. I'm saying fancier as in your room would probably look like this:

Needless to say, of course having a more high quality soul-trapping horror hotel in the lost world would ring the alarm bells of any soul-hungry rat! Well, that's what Gregory Mama thought. Already keeping her eyes on her competitor, the final straw was when one guest got out of the hotel, had their existential crisis realizing reality sucks ass, and ended up going to the COMPETING hotel!

So, she decided to take matters into Gregory's hands.

Basically, think of the process of dissolving a company into another company.

Take that litreally.

After the competiting hotel was no more, and Gregory House ended up with a few extra rooms, Neko Zombie's family's souls and any guest originating from the dissolved hotel were took out and promptly eaten by Mama.

...Though, a be a cruel mix of pity and pettyness lead to Gregory insisting that the formerly human child of the Neko family be spared. Fast foward to today with the help of a young Clock Master and here we are today with one fucked up cat!
