The problem is, they take it so personally. My main point yesterday, was that if you like those ships, fine, but you need to admit that you like them despite of the harm they would realistically cause. That they should agnowedge when their ship is problematic, but they feel like when I point out why the ship is problematic, they feel like I'm attacking them.

My point was, these ships are harmful to the characters and here's why for those reasons I don't support shipping it. Their responce should reasonably be, yes those things are harmful but here's why I ship it DESPITE of that, instead of denying those harmful things exist.

I have every right to say I think shipping something borders on wrong, when I think it is highly problematic. And they do too. Jonsa's routinely attack Sansan shippers for that problematic ship, then turned around and pretended in their scenario, Jon wouldn't be the predatory older male that they hate Sandor in that ship for being.

If you think what good exists through the bad makes it worth it, I never said to stop shipping it, or that it makes you a bad person. I just explained why I personally think shipping it would be wrong for me to do, through my life experiences as a reference.

They want to be the victim on a post that has nothing to do with them. I don't talk about ships I dislike so that it's shippers can read it and feel attacked, I make them so like minded people can hear my opinion and maybe feel heard through an opinion they didn't want to say, in a fandom where specific fans happily go on the attack to people who speak against their faves.

im hesitant to wholeheartedly identify with anarchocommunism bcuz even if it describes my agreement with both anarchist and communist principles and ideology, it usually implies some I'm Not Like Other Commies type mindset or looking down on Tankies whatever that means.

for me it means i agree with transitioning to a communist state but see the eventual dissolution of government and hierarchy as the like. Endgame for a humane existence as a positive basically. the existence of any group of people that are by definition above others and in control of their livelihood just does not mesh with my morals at all, but im not brainwashed by propaganda anymore to believe communist states are Worse or even As Bad as capitalist ones, in fact generally they are BETTER by a whole lot just speaking on the material conditions of the people, and achieving communism on a more universal level is the immediate goal for me.

none of that is at odds with my belief in anarchy or anarchist practices in my eyes though, because anarchist action at least as ive seen it is focused on what makes the here and now better and less under control of the government with a goal of flattening out hierarchy while improving conditions of the people, with the eventual goal of a community that is organized via at-will engagement and decentralization of the things typically gatekept for power with democratic committees. and that can be my end goal and/or smallscale goal without forcing me against/at odds with other schools of communist thought and the immediate goal of a communist state.

this is similarly why i don't feel at odds inherently with demsocs right out the gate unless they prove themselves to not be 'comrades', because i do find trying to get some immediate relief and comfort to be a worthy goal that can help people and not necessarily distract from direct action or organization

I'm thinking about the trap of tough-it-out culture and how it leaves no room for accommodating disabilities. I fall into this trap regularly from both sides: judging people when their discomfort is inconvenient to me AND pushing myself through uncomfortable situations because i can "stand it (a little longer)".

Of course, there are lots of situations inherently uncomfortable that we just have to endure sometimes, like getting blood drawn (that will never not suck).

But in general, if we would allow more room for accommodating small discomforts - finding a chair for someone who can't stand anymore, some extra time at stressful appointments, switching rooms because the lights bug someone - I think there would be less pressure on us all to conform to some nonsense standard of normal or abled, and more kindness.

You are asking this now either because you saw someone deranged who harasses jewish people claim this, which if you believe that you should go away anyway (*let alone that I already stated it wasn't true*), or because I posted concern since I live in the town where the old hippy jewish people were set on fire and that such is a TERRIBLE THING - both of these reasons are immediate reasons for me to instead respond to you: "what the hell are you even doing, dude" if you think either of those things is a valid reason to send this, because they are not reasons that should even be dignified with a response. Caring about all the people being murdered is a normal fucking thing, and if you have a problem with that you need serious help.
