still thinking about the brainrot that fast fashion has caused in people, like i made this pair of pants that are black and white with a cool flowery design, and an acquaintance saw them and said "wow i'd pay like 20 dollars for you to make me a pair" and i could barely think with how utterly horrified i was at that; i told them that 20 dollars wouldn't even cover the materials, let alone the hours of work that went into cutting, sewing, ironing, hemming, altering, etc. they just had this look on their face when i told them that, when i said i wouldn't make them a pair for even 100 dollars because that was still way too low of an amount, a look that said "you're crazy for thinking that those cost 100 dollars" and maybe i am crazy but holy shit, 20 dollars for a pair of handmade, durable, lined pants fitted specifically to your measurements? 20 dollars for upwards of 60 hours of work? 20 dollars for several yards of high-quality fabric, thread, and buttons? 20 dollars???

unsurprisingly, i will not be supporting taeil or anyone who remains close with him going forward. if there is an attempt to make this about fanwars or similar, i will also disengage. all this is about is the victim and their safety. to make it about anything else is disingenuous, callous, and cruel. morality comes over any kind of gotcha, and to use suffering to justify prior opinions or uplift others will not be tolerated here.

There's something very sad about the fact that most pro Palestines are generally good people. They're people I loved, artists I followed and friends I made. And one day I find out that they would prefer it if I were dead, that they'd justify it if I was a victim of october 7, that they think I don't deserve to exist.
I can't trust anyone anymore.

The fandom god discussion is interesting, but I feel it’s sometimes hindered by an unwillingness to separate gods from mortal society, or even a sort of over-eagerness to project our own reality onto them, which simply doesn’t work. I've seen the gods referred to as rulers or tyrants demanding worship (which I kinda understand because it’s something Ludinus says in-game, though it’s funny to see fandom corners confidently repeat the inaccurate talking points of the antagonist) but more interestingly I've also seen them referred to as a higher/the highest social class, as colonizers imposing themselves on mortals, the raven queen specifically as new money. Overall these comparisons tend to talk about the gods and their actions regarding Aeor in the past and predathos/the Vanguard in the present less as if they're about saving their own lives and more as if they want to preserve their powerful position.
The gods, by their very nature, are above mortals. They cannot be compared to any mortal ruling class because they didn’t choose or strive for that power and cannot feasibly get rid of it/step down/redistribute it (nor do they actually in any sense rule; killing the raven queen, unlike killing an actual queen, will not end the 'tyranny' of death), they simply have it by virtue of being gods. Saying that’s unfair or unequal and that the gods should be killed because of it is akin to saying it’s unfair a mountain is bigger than you and demanding it be levelled, except the gods, unlike mountains, are living, feeling beings who shouldn’t have to die because some people can’t stand the idea of not always being top dog. Thing is, the gods themselves ultimately understood this power imballance and that they can't help but hurt Exandria the way humans can't help but step on bugs, and thus removed themselves from the equation by creating the divine gate. Saying this isn’t enough and that they're clinging to power is just demanding they line themselves up to be killed.

If I keep reading comments from people comparing Logan and Colapinto I swear I'm going to stop being a friendly blog and I'm going to be one of the most fucking aggressive blogs.
To begin with, they did not have the same car, LOGAN DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE SAME CAR AS ALEX and let's not forget that JV was not the one who saw that spark in Logan, he never saw him as a possible driver for Williams or as someone to accompany Alex, the the one who saw that potential in Logan was Jost Capito, not James. Not to mention all those derogatory comments from journalists towards Logan for being American (I really don't understand why that was a problem).
Colapinto has the support of both the Argentines and his own fans and James himself. Logan didn't really have a support network like Franco's, which, realistically, added to the pressure of being in one of the most competitive sports, is not exactly the most favorable for a person's self-esteem and confidence.
Logan was not only compared to Alex, his teammate with more experience in both F1 and Williams, but also to Oscar, Oscar, who drives a McLaren, who probably had more experience regarding F1 cars, Oscar, that always stood out in the rest of the categories and that has Mark Webber as support.
There's really no way to compare Logan and Franco, firstly, because they're both completely different, and secondly, because they were never on equal footing.

i think what's pissing me off the most about house of the dragon are not even the made up storylines that make no sense but total and absolute ignorance of characters developments and their relationships.
everyone, and i mean everyone, is getting the barest minimum to push the story forward. how did alicent and criston ended up in bed? we don't know. do jace and baela even like each other on romantic level? no idea. gwayne came to king's landing after 3 months, kissed his sisters hand and that's the end of their relationship. have aegon even heard of his brother daeron? does daemon know that he has kids with rhaenyra? does rhaenyra know that corlys is around?
even on simply character level - otto fucked off to high garden and we are not shown his journey. this would never ever happened in original game of thrones. we would see him traveling, reaching high garden, see him get an audience with lord tyrell, we would see him scheme.
it's massive disservice to all those amazing actors who try their hardest to make us care for those characters but they can't fight the 3 seconds of screentime and abysmal storytelling.

When I see Jason and Bruce acting like the stereotypical "prodigal son and gruff but loving father" (in canon!) my blood boils.
Jason died. Bruce did not avenge him, not even "playing by the rules", so not even by arresting the Joker. He didn't do JACK SHIT after his boy was murdered.
And once Jason came back, Bruce slit his throat in order to save the life of the man who murdered him, and then left him to die in a burning building.
They should be unable to coexist in the same room let alone speak let alone have a "difficult but ultimately loving relationship". I hate you DC I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE
