Okay. I'm glad you asked this anon, because it's all a bit messy, and I think it would be good for me to explain this. Bear with me, as my brain is a bit disordered right now, so this may or may not make sense.

Will there be a sequel to Blood Moon?

I dunno. Maybe. I want there to be. But I don't know, which is frustrating (for me, as well as you).

See, it's not that I don't have ideas or anything.

I have this idea for a Blood Moon sequel that I really like. It's titled 'Thicker Than' and focuses on the vampires of the city, rather than werewolves. The MC would be a new vampire with a mission from the Night King: solve a series of murders targeting members of the Night Court.

Here's the problem:

I haven't been paid or seen any sales data from Blood Moon, in part because the Australian Tax Office is taking months to organise a document that they said would only take two weeks.

So... without any data, and with everything in life just getting more and more expensive, I literally just can't financially commit to another large project set in this world. I don't mean to be dramatic, but that's the honest truth.

I need to know how many people bought Blood Moon before I can consider writing a sequel (because a sequel is probably not going to sell better than an original). And I just don't have those numbers. I don't know when I'll get them either.

I'm really sorry about that.

I have this really cool idea for a dark mermaid thing that I think people would really enjoy. It involves pirates and ancient sea gods and cannibalism.

It'd also be another full length thing. Eg, around the same size as Blood Moon.

However, I'm holding off on using Choicescript for the reasons above (I need to have sales data).

I've been experimenting with some shorter Renpy games, the first of which I'll release next month on itch.io. If people like the style of those, I'll consider using Renpy as a tool to make the dark mermaid game... if no one buys the short games, then I'll reconfigure and try to come up with a new plan.

Hello! Sorry for the late reply, hope you get to see this.

The answer is... yes and no. While there isn't anything explicit / certain / definite over all this time, it seems there is some restlessness on their side, with several projects such as their recent scripted videos, but also as far back as Hazel, the GMEs and Ear Biscuits that point towards the possibility of them taking a very slow, long way towards this direction, especially Link. In fact it seems like Link can't stand being in the closet anymore but Rhett dreads leaving it. That's my general impression.

While I might be considered the most stark supporter of this theory around here (or at least the one who verbalizes it the most), a few days ago more people started considering it thanks to a moment during GME where Link did something very close to a coming-out.

In case you haven't watched any of the GMEs, GME (Good Mythical Evening) is a paid live show they do once a year, which is like the strictly adult version of GMM. There, strong references to sex are allowed and they also drink enough to get inebriated and foul language is also allowed to some degree.

All that on its own would be already a lot to consider, but GME has also strong homoerotic traits since Rhett and Link play a lot with their ship there. Last year, they re-enacted rhink fics where they were having sex (basically handjobs?), I don't remember exactly. And they acted LIKE they were doing it. This year, they took it up a notch and Rhett actually sucked Link's nipple, among other things. And I mean, he really did it. For a few seconds. But he did it...properly. Don't ask me why they do this stuff. I don't know. I think nobody knows. I am just presenting you the facts so I can give you an idea about what is going on.

So, during a game in this latest GME, this dialogue took place regarding what the act of "docking" is:

So, what happens next, Link also had two-three more moments when he seemed to consider talking about something and Rhett explicitly told him "Whatever it is you want to say, just keep it to yourself" and also in another moment "You can tell your Uber driver on your way home but not here".

During the More, at which Link hinted, there was a red box with nosy questions asked from the crew. Rhett was the one taking the questions and reading them. He chose to not read loudly and thus answer at least two questions, even though he pulled them out of the box.

Link eventually did not make any more similar statements.

You should also know that a couple of weeks ago, during the GME promo, Link had said that one reason we should watch the GME show was that he might even make an emotional speech before its end.

Another thing, the last months Link has also expressed in interviews and even in a college graduation that it is important to find who you are and explore your identity, addressing this especially to young adults. He always seems emotionally charged when he does it.

That's it. To me it just seems like there's one explanation only, but I will leave you to your own conclusions.

And one last detail. Rhett did everything in his power to not let Link finish what he started - almost bullied him out of it. Despite all that, notice what he said. While Link was trying to say whatever he was trying to say, Rhett said:

Nintendo made the decision not to have Charles play Mario and i agree with it; hearing mario's high voice for extended periods of time gets annoying. having a voice actor who never has to deliver any emotion other than elation and whimsy is a tall order. The Chris idea was terrible for the same reason. Chris is not a bad actor but he acts with his body and voice, not just his voice. Jack Black has done VA stuff for a while now, he's used to it. Chris has no passion for the role he's playing which is actually outside of his range and comfort zone.

i've seen a lot of discourse over boycotting the qsmp because of the recent stuff with the volunteers/workers not getting paid and i think both yes and no!

a lot of people have been against it with the claim that "boycotting is counterproductive because then the server isn't making any money to pay the workers" but in actuality, and forgive me if im wrong, but wouldn't that ONLY matter if quackity is the one you are watching? and he doesn't even stream that much in the first place (not that he owes it to anyone). so whether or not you do or don't watch tubbo, pac, bagi, whoever would literally do nothing to affect the amount of money the qsmp is earning unless quackity takes a cut from the streamers streams? but i doubt that and i doubt the streamers he invited pay anything to play, too.

i think boycotting would definitely get the point of "hey, we aren't gonna watch until you compensate those you have [unknowingly] wronged!" obviously the reformation process is going to be slow but PERSONALLY i think fixing the issues before opening the server should have been the way to go especially if it's being rebuilt from the ground up and the server has already essentially been created to revolve not only around the ccs but the admins as well.

on the same token, those who have spoken out about their experiences have explicitly said to continue to support the project because even if there are individuals who aren't being fairly compensated, you're still supporting the time and effort they've put into making the server what it is!

just my thoughts on the whole thing. i still think the server should have remained closed longer especially if they were on track to closing down completely. obviously we don't know whats actually going on behind the scenes but hopefully everything is moving smoothly and there's more communication all around! i can't imagine being stuck in the dark about everything.

(i've always thought the way it was emphasized that the position was volunteer was a little strange because it DID feel like exploitation of fans for free labor but hopefully the reformation will get everything solved and people can get fairly compensated for their time and effort!!)

claps my hands together . so this might get long you’re just going to have to bear with me . some details may be foggy in my head because it’s been probably a year since ive cared or really paid much more attention than what my friends told me to it but this is , essentially , what i remember the most and what makes the fanverse a fucking disaster

so the fanverse predates the Republican donation stuff by about a year . when it was announced i think the games that stood out the most to people were the joy of creation , popgoes , candy’s , flumpty’s , and the fnaf 1 remaster ( that i’ll spend so much time on . there’s so much stuff on phisnom alone ) . TJOC and candy’s don’t really have a lot to say on them , because the creators are normal people ( ? ) who just wanted to make fnaf fan projects , and if they could make some money via assistance from Scott by means such as selling on steam and possible merchandise , of course they were gonna take it

i don’t wanna say that the cracks started to show when the creator of flumpty was outed as a pedophile and openly admitted to it and banned himself from any online space to go better himself or whatever , but i will say that you could probably guess things were only going to go downhill from there when Scott made no public statement . i guess if you’re a dick rider you can argue that fnaf has an audience of children who don’t really need to be hearing a lengthy statement from the series creator about how pedophilia is a bad thing because Obviously , but he Has made statements about that before . he cut ties with pinkypills ( supposedly ) because of her comics that portrayed william as a pedophile . this isn’t meant to come off as a defense of pinkypills because she’s a genuinely terrible person , but one would think that a real life human person grooming a minor and admitting to it would be worse than possibly having someone read a comic that would have others perceive your fictional character as a pedophile . moving on

foolish: the architect of the bank. he gives out the blueprints of the building and every single "mistake" on the structure. helping just bc he was not paid for his services. vegetta: the engineer. he was the one that installed the cameras and every alarm on the building LMAO. he and foolish spend their time complaining about how awful the company that contracted them was. also they fall in love. maybe. i love fooligetta idk what to tell u. philza: chief of the extraction team. already has experience with big, stealthy robberies to banks, enough to have a Reputation.  spreen: extraction team. like philza, he has a reputation, but is known as being more violent and assaulting mostly houses instead of banks or business. roier was the one who brought him to the project. also they met when spreen robbed his house. bbh: extraction team. he's the damage control guy, making sure that they don't mess around too much and don't exceed their given time. he mostly just keeps watch. roier: negotiator. did theatre in high school, took some oratory courses just for this operative. his role consists mostly on buying time for the rest and making sure the hostages don't rebel. mariana and slime: distractions. they play-pretend a massive break-up minutes before the rest of the team break hell lose to disperse the guards, and then mix up with the hostages. quackity: transport. giving him this role solely bc he roleplayed being a truck driver with juanguarnizo and it was hilarious. jaiden: she worked at the bank and ended up as a hostage in the robbery bc that's just her luck. befriended roier in the process somehow?? she was let out later. and found roier on twt so they talk more lol

generally i think i'm going to go with wilbur being a guy on the inside probably? like he can get his hands on the guard schedules and stuff, but he’s maaaybe not the most down with the plan. definitely complains whenever any damage is done to the building or the money. got dragged into this and being threatened if he spills any beans LOL

i really like maxo being the owner of los casualones still, him being the guy who owns the crew’s meeting area would be a fun way for him to keep an eye on everything, and doesn’t make him strictly on protagonist or antagonist side, which could be fun!

cellbit being the primary investigator after the heist crew feels so given. felps being his right hand man who maybe makes... the decisions that lead to shipwrecks etc would be so fun as well. generally the greater brazilian polycule as a detective agency would be SOOOO fun. i am so on board with that.

luzu i see maybe more as the guy who sets the crew up to do this work, and rubius... i’m unsure? i could use suggestions on where those two could go.

missa i could see working out as a bartender at los casualones. that way he’s not strictly involved, but he’s there in any meeting scenes in the background. i like those kinds of characters.

um... fit as the los casualones bouncer? yeah i got nothing otherwise.

Ok hello again Xia! i was looking for some advice! as something i realized when going back to coding was that theres so many routes and resources to start from, i dont know where to go. ive been considering a freecodecamp certificate, and i found out about The Odin Project, i also bought an udemy course. all on web dev. and i an following some challenges in frontendmentor, so after all the time without coding suddenly im tad indesicive on the best path. im in a uncomfortable spot where im not a beginner but im advanced. what would you suggest?

Now that is a pickle you are in! You could say with coding/programming, having an abundance of resources around you can be a con as well, it’s overwhelming a bit! I’ve literally been in your situation before!

At the beginning, I mainly used Udemy courses and Freecodecamp’s YouTube channel (not their actual site). This is when I was learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

See, I’m more of a visual learner, I like seeing things be done rather than read them so the video courses really helped me. I would have the video courses, whether YouTube or Udemy, on one window and I’ll have my code editor up as well and I’d go through the lessons bit by bit.

Anytime I was stuck I would use W3Schools, MDN Docs or any pdf books on the language (if you need the link to find the books, dm me and I’ll share with you (that goes for anyone as well only because… I can’t find the link rn 😂)).

Personally I haven’t used The Odin Project to the max ONLY BECAUSE I just dropped it at the time to focus on C# and forgot to go back 😅 But I have heard really go things from their courses.

My real advice 👩🏽‍💻

Know the type of learner you are: does reading and making projects help? Or do you need an instructor from the video courses to help you?

Stick with the Udemy courses (especially you paid for them) but make sure it’s a really good that you bought

Any major milestone in your learning, build a project. Does not have to be massive, just so you worked with the new concept you’ve learnt hands-on

Building projects is the best way to learn overall. Learn the basics and build projects, the new stuff will come as you build. E.g. you built a basic form page but oh! You want to learn some JavaScript to make alerts and pop-ups for any errors the user makes! You start to learn the JavaScript to do that and so on…

Challenges are best when you know the basics of everything - Basic HTML and CSS and maybe some basic JavaScript, if the challenges includes it

Example route to follow: Udemy courses > YouTube Videos > Build projects > Stuck? W3Schools and/or MDN Docs > Extra learning? Read the books > BUILD PROJECTS > keep building projects

I want to tell the whole student councils story but it gonna took so long since its like 7 months worth of story but. I want to ask a few stuff and please if u can answer them, do answer them...

Tell me if im wrong, if i work for the councils for like 7 months, didn't get paid + the deadlines was so hectic all the times (3-5 days long) + for some reason i never half ass any of my artwork projects in it but they're now want to fire me n took all of my artworks is that even ok? Its not right?

I was joining the councils so i can get a certificate by the 12th months but they want me fired by the 7th month tho (i will not get any banefits) n took everything yeah this is the "everything."

Some of them are used for the Student councils popularity themself (instagram seamless feeds so it look unique), some will be used as a merch that will be sold later on.

So note this. If they fire me from the councils. I will not get credited, the art will just be marked as "The Student Councils Art" not "Arii's Student Councils Art" and the merch money will not go to me a single penny, i actually don't know where it gonna go tho... So yah

Apparently their reasons for firing me was 1. I was late once, 2. Im asking too many details on the art project, its annoying, 3. I got mad at em bcs they themself won't reply for the artwork i've submitted for over 1 week long. And they replied after i was just so annoyed already, i deleted the submission and they replied on my actions with "whyyy did u delete thaaat. Anyway the font look ugly still can u fix that." (basically)

So tell me, if they say they have the absolute right to CLAIM my artworks just because i was a member in that 7 months worth of submissions, is that even legal? They want to take the copyrights to my contributions, n saying nu uh i did not make my own artwork anymore since they will take all of it. Is that an ok thing?

So, are all of these artworks belongs to them now or did i still have the rights as the creator of these artworks? If i still have the rights, is it ok for me to take down all of the submitted artwork on da insta or no?

Also is there a copyright law i miss somewhere....... What does the law say if anyone knows... If u don't issoke just tell me what u think...

Commissions Live [3 Slots Open]

Hello everyone!

After deliberating and planning, I will start accepting requests for commission work as of today and into the foreseeable future. I will be taking a few small steps into this endeavour at first and, ideally, be expanding my offerings going forward.

For the time being, there are limited options that one may select as a basis for commission. This is meant to limit the scope of requests in an attempt to keep lead times short. I'm aware that I have a propensity to become fatigued, distracted, or otherwise sidetracked when it comes to my illustration projects. By shrinking the scope of these commission illustrations my hope is that I can finish them quickly and with relative ease. That being said, I've made a few caveats and exceptions to those interested [The caveat is basically always 'Just ask me about it and we'll work something out. Maybe.']. With that out of the way, let's move on.

Commission Info

As mentioned, what I will be offering with this first round of commissions will be limited. They'll be centred around the premise of 'Single Character Illustrations' offered at various tiers of quality. This is standard practice from my experience, but I don't often operate in this regard because I find it limiting. However, that's kind of the point this time around!

No fussing around with details. The client sends me a reference of a character they want drawn [Visual preferred, but written isn't off the table], along with the tier/price point/level of quality they desire. A pose, action, idea, or concept to go along with the character is heavily advised unless the client wants to give me creative liberty with the project.

As mentioned in the references, there might be an idea or part of the illustration the client desires or is curious about. Feel free to enquire as the worst that will happen is I say, "Nah."

Slots are open on a first come, first serve basis. Work will be done in batches until all previous commissions are complete. I'll make posts to let folks know when slots are closed and when they reopen.

An illustration may be revealing or somewhat risque, but I will not be drawing any characters in the nude or involved in indecent situations.

If you're curious about what things I'm NOT willing to create, the best way to find out is ask. Better yet, ask yourself first. "Would this artist find drawing [blank] weird?" if you answered yes or even hesitated, you're probably right. I am a prudish individual and I do not enjoy drawing things for capital to begin with.

Payment

Payment will be done through Paypal or Ko-Fi and discussed in detail on a client by client basis.

Paypal is preferred as Ko-Fi assumes that if I get paid I will FOR SURE get your commission done. This is not my preferred method of payment. I strive to make sure the client is content with the end product before I accept payment, ergo payment shall be processed at the end of our transaction. The client receives the final, full quality, render of their requested work and I am paid in full.
