going to be so honest with you, reading about other people’s experience with time off recovering from top surgery is so depressing. society really said what’s more important: recovering fully so you can remain a happy, healthy individual, or coming back to work immediately so you have money to survive.

currently experiencing another "if you dont take a break your body will take it for you" moment. it was 35°C/95°F in my room last night when i went to bed and i was feeling very nauseous and headachey. i must've had like 5 liters of water yesterday with zero exercise which is insane, and so today i woke up at noon feeling like a complete zombie. i had thee wildest dreams and tbh i'm 75% sure i had a near death experience as well lmao

the number of bureaucracy jobs that "can" be done from home, in that the actual physical labor can be performed anywhere, but now the communication (which is the majority of the job) takes 10-100x longer.
