The Lost Haven (15/16)
[ modern mafia • Aemond x niece • female ]
[ warnings: incest obviously, sex content, smut, the angst, semi-public intimacy, panic attack, anxiety, mafia stuff, uncomfortable conversations, bad, bad things ]
Tumblr media
[ description: The vacation from eight years ago still haunts his memories and doesn't let him forget what happened between him and his niece, the daughter of his sister and Harwin Strong. Their paths separate and he immerses himself in his father's mafia world until the day she calls him for the first time since those events. Sexual tension, dark, dangerous, withdrawn, thirsty Aemond. ]
Author’s note: As promised, this is another, this time official modern version of The Fall from the Heavens. In this version, Daemon is not related to the family, but is simply Rhaenyra's husband and the leader of the second gang, Alys and Larys are also not related to each other, but Larys is Harwin's brother. I will partly refer to the original series, hiding some easter eggs, and some will be a completely new, fresh plot. As in every universe, only Aemond calls her Rhaenys and this is not her real name (she is unnamed character and the others also do not know that he calls her that). There will be a lot more brutality and angst in this version, so watch out. You can read this as a standalone story.

She left.
Although he promised himself it would never happen, she was gone.
He spent the first half hour after he woke up in a state of complete hysteria, sitting on the sofa with his face hidden in his hands, crying, crying and crying, unable to calm down.
He was sure she would forgive him this time too.
That she would understand.
However, some part of him knew that the life he was forcing her into must have been unbearable: he himself would not have been able to wait for her every night, not knowing if she was safe, if she would return, if she was alive.
He would have gone mad in her place.
So all that was left to him was weeping and despair, in which he sank completely. Then came a wave of denial: the thought that she would never have done this to him, that perhaps she had only gone out to the shop and would return soon, that he was worried for no reason.
After a few hours, he began to panic.
What if she had done something to herself?
What if she jumped off some bridge, slit her veins again, what if her dead body was found in the woods?
Hundreds of terrifying scenarios whirled through his head so, in an act of desperation, he took his phone out of his pocket and called her, just wanting to hear that she was alive, that she had simply returned to Daemon's house and he didn't need to fear for her life.
She didn't answer, however, causing him to wail like an animal, once again falling into hysteria.
After all, she wouldn't just leave, it wasn't her way.
She would leave a letter, any word of explanation, so that he wouldn't worry and would know what to do next.
He searched the whole flat, looking into all its various nooks and crannies, but was disappointed to find nothing.
Instead, he noticed that her shoes, backpack and charger were gone.
Some part of him wanted to call Rhaenyra, to ask if she was home, but what if she wasn't?
What if they just all panicked thinking something had happened to her because of him?
Where else could she go?
And then it dawned on him.
His hand went quickly to the pocket of his trousers and he exaled heavily, closing his eyes in relief at the thought that the keys to the house by the sea were not in it.
Of course that's where she ran away, he thought tenderly.
Where it had all started.
She needed solitude, peace and quiet.
But was she safe, had she not done anything to herself?
He decided he had to write to her.
Tumblr media
He walked around the flat all day with his phone in his hand, constantly checking to see if she had written him back, but she hadn't. He fought with himself like an animal, at the same time wanting to respect that she wanted to think things through without him and fearing that she was there alone and terrified, not knowing what to do.
One second he was deciding that he would drive to her, and the next he was recognising that he couldn't, that she had to reach out to him on her own.
He promised her that he would let her go.
At night he could not sleep, lying on the bed with Vhagar, feeling anxious and afraid, so he spent long hours thinking about what would change their situation.
How could he at the same time give her more room to act and decide, while not endangering her? How could he bring her into this disgusting world and avoid her becoming a simple target?
And then he remembered her father.
Of what he wanted to do.
He stood up quickly, opening the cupboard in which he kept the documents, and began to look through them one by one, feeling his heart pounding like mad with excitement. After a while, he found what he wanted: the title deeds to the premises that had originally belonged to Harwin Strong.
He looked through each one and ran his hand over his face, analysing everything: he'd had a problem with them from the start because the staff who had stayed there were very reluctant to deal drugs: until recently this had frustrated him and he'd contemplated using force on them, but now he decided it was a perfect fit.
They were clean.
He could pass it on to her.
Her collateral, her key to his world, the means by which she could be his partner – ownership would make her a player on the chessboard protected on two sides – by him and Daemon – so no one would dare take away what he had given her.
He knew that, although her stepfather was furious with them, he would never attack her of his own accord – moreover, this decision of his could alleviate the entire conflict between them.
In the morning, he was pacing around his flat, feeling the need to drive to her, to reveal to her that he had a solution for them, something that would make her feel more independent, that would allow her to accompany him to his various meetings, being an equal member of them and not just his chick.
She still gave no sign of life, however, and he began to fear more and more that this meant the worst.
That it was too late.
Tumblr media
She hadn't written back.
He decided in an act of desperation that he couldn't wait any longer and had to see her, so he drove to where he hoped never to appear again, which was his family home.
His mother made big eyes at the sight of him.
"– Aemond – I am so happy –"
"I need the keys to the house by the sea. I know there is a spare pair in the house. I lost mine." He said indifferently, pretending that he felt no pain at the sight of her sad eyes, that he did not suffer at the thought that he had been a disappointment to her.
That he had abandoned her.
He didn't want that, but he couldn't go back.
Alicent nodded as if his words broke her and disappeared behind the door, returning a moment later with a bunch of keys which she handed to him, looking at him expectantly.
"Are you happy with her?" She asked.
He looked at her for a moment, feeling that if he opened his mouth he would cry.
So he kept silent.
Yes, he thought.
Only with her.
He nodded his head.
His mother smiled, as if relieved, which made him want to sob even more.
I have failed her and perhaps it is too late.
I have not been able to protect her.
I thought it would be easier.
"I'm glad. Give her my warm regards."
Driving his car to the sea, all he could think about was that he would surely find her body in a bathtub filled with water and her blood, pale and cold.
That she had escaped her suffering in the only way she could, by returning to the only place where she felt safe and happy.
To that summer.
By the time he arrived, night was all around him, the thunder of the storm and the sound of the rain making him anxious – he swallowed hard, seeing that no light was on in any of the windows.
A cold shiver ran down his spine, his steps heavy and slow.
He thought he wasn't ready for this.
He wasn't ready to lose her one last time, forever.
He quietly put the key in the lock and turned it – the door opened in front of him, and when he closed it behind him he was relieved to find that he couldn't smell the rottenness.
There was hope in his heart that perhaps she was alive.
Perhaps she longed to be alone, nothing more.
He moved slowly upstairs, looking first into the bathroom and breathed a loud sigh to see that it was empty – he then moved to her room, but there too everything looked untouched.
He thought, moved, that she was in his room.
Where she felt safe.
He had the feeling that his mind stopped functioning when his hand reached for the door handle and pressed it – when it opened in front of him with a quiet creak, his heart stopped, and he noticed that, indeed, the sheets on his bed were scattered in disarray.
She was here, he thought in disbelief.
But where was she now?
And then he heard it.
A quiet rustling.
God, she was under the bed.
He moved slowly towards her, feeling that his whole body was quivering, seeing himself, then, eight years ago, as if their story had come full circle.
As if everything was heading to this moment.
He knelt down and leaned in, meeting the terrified, sad gaze of her big eyes under the bedframe, her lips clenched into a thin line of fear, her face red with tears.
His heart broke.
"– Rhaenys – oh, baby –" He muttered in a cracking voice, reaching out his hand to her, and she immediately crawled towards him, falling right into the embrace of his longing arms.
He closed his eyes, cuddling her into himself as if he wanted her to melt into one with him, pressing his face against her fragrant hair, her soft, warm, familiar flesh, feeling her whole body tremble, whooping from crying.
"– I’m sorry – I’m sorry – I didn’t know what to do –" She wailed in despair, barely getting any words out, her small hands clenched helplessly on his leather jacket.
He shushed her, stroking her hair and her back, feeling relief, feeling peace, feeling warmth because she was with him, because she was alive, because she hadn't run away, only was lost just like him.
He understood her, understood what she needed and how scared she was.
"– no – it’s okay – I found you, little one – you’re safe now –" He whispered and smiled under his breath when she nodded.
She didn't push him away, she wasn't angry that he had found her, that he had come – on the contrary, he knew that she was actually waiting for him, that she needed him, and he was there for her, for his sweet little girl.
He rose with her, holding her in his arms, and lay down in bed with her, exactly as he had done then, that night. Pulling off his jacket and shoes, he looked at her with a tenderness and gentleness of which he had not suspected himself, her rosy, pretty face, her glistening lips parted in a deep breath.
He leaned down, laying back beside her, and touched her cheek uncertainly, not wanting to frighten her, to make her think he would try to close her mouth with sex and intimacy as usual, making her feel safe only to leave her again the next morning.
No.
This time he had a plan.
For the first time in his life, he felt he knew what to do.
She'd barely sighed when his lips, moist and swollen with longing, pressed against hers in a sweet, lazy kiss – they caressed each other with the quiet clicks of their saliva, sinking again and again into each other's bodies, a shiver running down his spine as her soft hand ran through his hair and down his neck.
God, how he loved her, he thought, feeling his heart flutter in his chest with joy.
"– I love you –" She whispered into his mouth, and he sighed, feeling his cock swell all over and pulse at her words in his trousers, because he craved just that, just those words, the reassurance that, like him, she would never be able to give up what they had. "– that's all I know –"
He wasn't sure they'd ever had such slow, tender, sweet, vulnerable sex together – it seemed to him that her body was melting under his fingers, her plump lips parted sweetly against his slick tongue, their arms holding them close, their foreheads pressed together.
He loved her.
He loved her.
He loved her.
When he felt her again, when he broke deep into her soft, warm, moist flesh again, nothing but helpless, boyish moans and grunts left his throat – her closeness, the sensation of her fleshy walls enveloping his erection thrusting into her greedily again and again was something craved, beloved, meant only for him.
For the first time, he didn't think about what his lover thought of him.
Did she think he had done a good job?
Did he look good in this position?
Were his noises manly?
Did he last long enough?
Did she perceive him as strong?
He simply made love to her, and she, her hands, her mouth, her cunt, her wonderful, sweet body gave herself completely to him, allowing him to fill her with his release with a sigh of relief.
"I know how to fix this, baby. Do you trust me?" He asked her quietly when it was all over, when their bodies lay entwined together in a tender embrace, his hand stroking her head pressed against his chest, right where she belonged.
By his side, always by his side.
He heard her swallow hard, surprised, his soft manhood still deep inside her.
They were one.
For eight years they had lasted as broken halves of a whole.
But no more.
"What do you mean?" She whispered uncertainly, trailing her fingers down his back, and he swallowed hard, thinking this was the moment.
"I will give you back the premises that belonged to your father."
Silence.
She'll think it's an idiotic idea.
That it didn't make sense.
She will walk away.
"What?"
"Before Larys took over their entire family business, your father had three establishments: Harrenhal Club, Twins Club and Eagle’s Nest Hotel. He got to the point, wanting to get as far away from drug smuggling as possible, that the people working there were reluctant to go back to their old ways. Larys forced them to do so, but most of the best workers fled to my grandfather or Daemon. I didn’t know for a long time what to do with these places, but now I think I should just pass them on to you. That will make you able to take part in some of our conversations as an associate, like Baratheon does, for example. I will assign you some of my men to protect you. Some of them are tired and want peace and quiet for themselves and their families. Your presence, the fact that you are with me and at the same time you are Daemon’s daughter gives us the assurance that you will not be attacked from any side."
He mumbled out, feeling like he'd lost his breath in his lungs, throwing out everything he'd been thinking about while she wasn't by his side.
He felt her whole body freeze.
She was in shock.
"What about Jace? Luke? He was their father too." She mumbled, and he snorted, smiling involuntarily.
They had no say in the matter.
There was nothing they could do.
"I don't give a shit about them."
She swallowed hard and lifted her head to look at him – he sighed seeing that her gaze was both terrified and warm at the same time, full of the affection he craved so much.
"I won't have to store your drugs or sell them?" She muttered, and he shook his head quickly.
God, she was really considering it.
"No. You'll just be giving us cover for our meetings from time to time. Nothing illegal that would burden you." He mumbled in a trembling voice, a pleading look asking her to trust him this one last time, to let him fix everything, set it on the right track.
"You'll really do it?" She asked, and he involuntarily licked his lower lip, nodding.
"Yes. Yes, if you come home with me. We'll go to the notary tomorrow, make it official." He said in excitement, feeling his heart pounding like crazy in his chest in euphoria.
She lowered her gaze, sighing heavily, for some reason sad again.
"After all, none of them will want to listen to me. They won't respect me. I'm just a little girl, what do I know about their tough world?" She asked, shrugging her shoulders, and he shook his head.
"I'll help you. Just like you helped me with my studies. I will teach you everything. They'll respect you, first for the sake of me and your two fathers, and then for the sake of you when they realise you'll protect them and not drag them into this shit." He said with a certainty that amazed him, her eyes glazed over with tears.
She wanted to believe him, he knew that.
She wanted it to work.
She wanted to be with him.
"Shall we try?" He mumbled, waiting for her reaction like a sentence.
And she nodded her head.
She nodded her head.
She snuggled into him and he closed his eyes, feeling the tears of relief burning under his eyelids, thinking that he loved her harder than he ever had in his life.
She had always, always been on his side.
"I love you. Everything is going to be okay. I promise."
And she believed him.
They spent the night sleeping in an embrace so tight that he smiled with amusement – as soon as he turned on the bed, tired of one position her small body immediately followed him, her fingers clenching on his back, demanding his tender, safe hold in which he closed her happily again and again.
She slept with her face snuggled into his chest and neck, her legs entwined with his, their hands holding them close.
They were home.
They were home because they were together.
After they woke up, writhing in each other's embrace for a long time, they showered together.
"– ah – mghmm –" She mumbled, her face pressed against the wall, leaning forward, her hips bucked towards him while he opened her up again and again on his erection, swollen from the morning, begging for hours to be fulfilled.
"– what a sight –" He exhaled, looking at her throbbing slit from which his semen was leaking, lazily rolling his hips back and forth, sinking into her sweet, warm flesh.
One of his hands gripped her waist to keep her from falling over, while the other rested on the tiles above her head for balance, the pleasantly warm water washing over their bodies like rain.
Like God forgiving them of all their sins.
"– I love you –" He whispered as if it was the most perverted, ungodly thing he could say to her right now, listening to the loud, quick slaps of their naked, wet bodies against each other, feeling her fleshy cunt squeeze his hard length tighter, sucking it inside her with his throaty groan.
"– I love you too –" She mewled, moaning louder and louder, aroused by how shamelessly exposed she was to him, that he was watching what he was doing to her, that he was bursting into her body, and she couldn't help it.
She was his.
"– f-fuck – mmm –" He sighed as his peak came down on him like an epiphany and closed his eyes, tilting his head back as he felt her plump walls begin to clench around his manhood in her sweet fulfilment.
He looked at her again, wanting to see it, his fat, throbbing cock deep inside her as he filled her with his seed.
She was so innocent.
"– what I'm doing to you is so wonderfully wrong – I could fuck you all day long –" He exhaled, panting heavily along with her, stroking affectionately her chubby, smooth buttocks. She moaned at his words, closing her eyes as if she felt his words in every nook and cranny of her body, her hot core clamped tight around his half-soft manhood.
"– yes –" She mumbled, reaching her hand towards his, as if she wanted him to understand that he could embody his desire into reality.
He smiled tenderly at the sight, at her reaction, sliding out of her gently with her sigh of relief and watched as a trickle of his spend dripped down her thigh.
"– uncle and niece, huh –" He hummed, grabbing her by the waist and pulling her upwards, her wet back and buttocks slapping against his body, his lips sinking into her moist, soft neck. She just murmured, embracing his arms, tilting her head back, relaxed and at ease.
She looked up at him at last, her gaze clouded with hot affection, her lips parted sweetly in a deep breath.
"– Hades and Persephone –"
As promised, straight from there they drove to the notary – he didn't want her to think that he was deceiving her again, and that the change in their lives would happen at some unknown time – it was to happen here and now, immediately, and she was to feel that he was telling the truth.
He went to the man who handled the documentation of all the premises that belonged to him – Ned Tully was an elderly man who liked to walk around in big jumpers and tracksuits, however, his gigantic office could tell that he was certainly not a poor man.
He just didn't give a shit about anything and wasn't afraid of the police, which was exactly what he needed.
His Rhaenys followed him inside, glancing at him uncertainly with her big, bright eyes, and he stroked her back with his palm.
"Come." He hummed, pointing to one of the armchairs facing the large oak desk behind which Tully sat, who slid a packet of cigarettes towards him.
He took one out and put it in his mouth, and Tully leaned over and lit it with his lighter.
"What brings you here, boy?" He asked lowly.
He'd always addressed him this way, but it didn't bother him – he didn't do it with a sneer and he was extremely professional, even though he didn't look like it.
He took a drag and let the smoke out through his nose, spreading himself out comfortably in his seat.
"I want to transfer my three properties, three businesses to another person. To my niece." He said calmly – Tully's gaze fled sideways to her small, tense figure.
"Daemon's daughter. Well, well. The world is small. Are you sure you want to do this? Once you sign the papers, it will be too late." He said, and he nodded.
"What properties are involved?" He asked, and he took another drag, tilting his head back, releasing the smoke with his mouth towards the ceiling.
"Harrenhal Club, Twins Club and Eagle's Nest Hotel." He recited from memory, feeling a strange calm, a conviction that he had done the right thing.
The notary prepared a set of documents and, after making sure he hadn't changed his mind, he and his niece signed a piece of paper after a piece of paper and then locked everything up in a folder.
"I will take care of the tax issue myself. Calculate for me how much I will have to pay." He said to him, and Tully nodded.
"What?" She muttered, looking at him horrified, his hand closed on hers.
"Don't worry. I'll take care of it. Hm? It's okay." He whispered, her eyes glazed with tears, her lower lip trembling.
He tried to restrain himself, and he knew she did too, but they had to stop in the woods to find an outlet for their emotions locked in the car, her body warm and willing, welcoming him easily inside, her arms cuddling him between her bare breasts.
He sighed heavily as he came inside her at last, tracing his fingers over her chest and murmured contentedly.
"They're getting bigger. Fuller. From caressing them for sure." He hummed, amused, placing a sweet, lingering kiss on her breast only to clamp his lips on her nipple again a moment later.
He heard her swallow quietly, her hand running through his hair.
"Let's go home." She whispered.
Vhagar was euphoric at the sight of her – she squealed and barked at the same time, running around her and jumping on her, distraught that she was suddenly gone.
The truth was that his dog had become accustomed to not being alone even when he was out and she didn't like the fact that it had changed.
"– there, there – I missed you too –" She laughed, kneeling on the floor, embracing her thick, furry neck, letting her big tongue lick all over her face.
As they ate the pizza they'd quickly ordered, they leaned over the binders full of documents, which they began to look through together.
"You've got the entire history of each establishment here. The owners, the employees, their contracts, invoices for goods, electricity and gas bills." He explained, flipping through page after page. "And the income and tally each month by the accountant. Each of these places earns more than it spends. I've hired marketing people and refurbished some rooms in Eagle's Nest that needed it most."
"That's a lot." She muttered, clearly overwhelmed by the amount of information she had to absorb.
"Don't be afraid. For the first few months, you will simply deal with it with me. You'll be involved in talking to staff and accountants. I will introduce you, I won't throw you in at the deep end. If something goes wrong, I will be beside you to help you fix it." He said, clasping his fingers in her hand, and she nodded, looking at him hopefully.
"Thank you, Aemond. I mean it." She whispered, and he swallowed hard, wondering if he had ever heard that from anyone.
Thank you.
Neither his father nor Otto had ever thanked him.
Not really.
They felt that what he was doing was due to them, that they were doing him a favour by allowing him to earn crores without, in their view, much effort.
They had come to all this through their hard work, not him.
He stroked her soft cheek and kissed her forehead with a quiet click, feeling a pleasant warmth in his heart.
She always knew how to appreciate him.
To say what he longed to hear.
To give him what he needed.
Over the next few days, they mainly went through the documents he kept at home, as well as at each of these places. His staff looked at them in surprise, as he rarely came in his own person, however, he did not want to say what had happened for the time being so as not to cause panic.
He knew that some of them would be unhappy with the change thinking that he had placed her in such a high position despite the fact that she could do nothing, because she was his whore.
Because he had fulfilled her whim.
He had to make them respect her, make them want to listen to her.
They didn't even know she was what they needed.
"Let's go to the supermarket. We don't have anything left to eat." He said and she nodded, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye.
"You do the shopping, I have to go to the pharmacy." She replied lightly, turning her head away. He looked at her, surprised, then back at the road.
"Are you feeling unwell?" He asked, and she swallowed hard.
"No, but… I've been quite stressed lately. With how much I still have to learn. I'm thinking of getting some herbs to drink, some melissa or something." She muttered, and he nodded with understanding, placing his hand on her knee.
"Okay, baby."
As they agreed, he did the shopping, planning to make tomato soup, remembering how he loved it when he was a small child, and met her at the car.
"Did you buy everything you wanted?" He asked, putting the shopping bags in the boot, and she nodded and smiled, something in her gaze that he didn't like.
She was tense.
He knew that she was apprehensive about meeting the staff for the first time – she had insisted that he let her do it alone, but he was afraid that those people would then surround her and bite her, and she would feel even worse.
On the other hand, he knew that they would be calm in his presence and not object, but perhaps they would hate her behind her back.
He didn't want that.
He was not sure if he should start the subject, so he finally gave up and just got into the car and she did the same.
He tried to get out of her what she had bought, but all she said was that it was tea and that she would brew it for herself when they got back.
He didn't know why, but he felt anxious.
When they got home, as soon as she pulled off her shoes she locked herself in the toilet.
With her rucksack.
Perhaps she was suddenly surprised by her period?
He decided that this was certainly the case and took the shopping bags into the kitchen, unpacking them one by one, listening for any strange sounds.
He put the water on for the soup and prepared everything to cook it, glancing constantly at the door in the corridor behind which the light was on.
"Are you all right? Do you have a stomach ache?" He called out, feeling his heart hit harder in his chest.
"I'm fine." She muttered in a cracking voice making him put the glass bottle of tomato puree down on the table and walk in that direction.
"Rhaenys? What's going on? You're acting strange, I don't like it." He said, but was answered by silence.
Fuck.
He slammed his fist against the door, feeling adrenaline and fear bubbling through his veins, the sight of her in a tub full of blood making it difficult for him to catch his breath.
"Rhaenys, if you don't open it, I'm going to break down the fucking door." He growled and swallowed hard when the door opened suddenly and he saw her face red with emotion.
What was that all about?
He wanted to ask about it, but she held out her hand towards him with a small, bright, long object with what looked like a small glass window with pink stripes.
"– what is it? –" He mumbled, wrinkling his eyebrows in concern, taking it from her, watching it between his fingers trembling with nerves.
"– it's a pregnancy test –"
He looked at her, feeling his heart stop suddenly – she was smiling, her gaze warm, full of everything he wanted so much.
"– no way –" He said and she laughed, so lightly and sweetly that he just grabbed her in his arms and lifted her high, smiling like a moron, feeling tears under his eyelids for some reason.
"– baby – oh my fucking God – show me this little belly –" He muttered, lifting her Tshirt higher, leaning down to place a few lingering, loud, sticky kisses on her bare skin.
As he set her down on the ground he burst out crying, for neither his body nor his mind could deal with what he felt otherwise: the girl he loved was pregnant, and she was happy about it despite the fucked-up situation they were in, wanting to create something with him that he had always dreamed of so much.
His own family.
She hugged him, letting him bury his face in her neck, whooping his tears while smiling broadly, his hands clenched on the back of her Tshirt.
"– I'm so happy – God, baby, this is wonderful, wonderful news –" He mumbled out in a breaking voice, returning to crying, feeling that he was unable to control what was happening to his body.
"Will you come with me to the gynaecologist?" She asked softly, stroking his back, and he nodded quickly, excited, looking at her with big eyes.
"Yes, of course. Now?" He asked, ready to drive her anywhere and do whatever she needed, his hand involuntarily sliding down to her lower abdomen, stroking it as if she was hiding a treasure inside.
Her fingers stroked his palm as she laughed.
"No. No one will take us in today anyway. But tomorrow, yes." She said with a smile, bubbling with energy, joy and contentment, the look in her eyes warm and bright.
"Okay. Okay." He said, and she squealed as he picked her up again, this time walking with her towards the kitchenette, wanting to finish dinner.
If up until now he thought he was crazy about her and about her being close, he would now describe it as an obsession.
She had to be close because he had to touch her, embrace her, feel her, kiss her – in the evening, once they were in bed, he didn't know what to do – he wanted to fall asleep at the same time with his face snuggled between her breasts, in his favourite place in the world, only to change his mind a moment later, pull the duvet off her and place his cheek on her stomach, stroking her lower abdomen with his palm.
"Mmm." He heard her hum in her sleep, in a natural, affectionate gesture combing her fingers through his short hair, he, however, was in too much euphoria.
I love you, he thought, looking down at her belly, running his fingertips over her bare skin.
I love you and your mum.
He fell asleep in the morning only to be woken by her alarm clock three hours later – he had forced her to make an appointment as soon as possible, so they were due to turn up at the doctor's surgery at seven in the morning. His niece was semi-conscious, asleep in his car, he, however, felt fresh and rested, keeping his hand clasped over hers.
He realised that he was happy.
Truly happy.
He was ashamed to be sitting next to her, lying on the couch, watching as a man in a white lab coat sat beside her in a chair in front of a small screen, wandering a special ultrasound machine over her abdomen, covered in some sticky green gel, and he felt tears under his eyelids, his knee popping all over in a nervous reflex.
"It's true, miss, you are pregnant. You can see it, right here." He said, pointing his finger at a small bright dot on the screen the size of a needle head, and he hid his face in his hands and burst out crying full of relief.
He wanted this so badly.
"Do you want to leave and calm down?" The doctor asked him, and he shook his head.
"I'll print you pictures."
A little dot.
A little dot that was going to be a little man in nine months.
He thought about this as he lay in bed, looking at the few pictures the doctor had printed for them. His niece lay next to him, sleeping peacefully, wrapped in his arm, resting after having to wake up early.
Will it be a boy or a girl?
It doesn't matter, he will love each one equally.
The baby's room, toys, cot, pram, sleepwear will have to be organised.
So many things to do and so little time.
Nine months.
He put the photo aside and slid his free hand down to her belly, stroking it softly, her murmur of contentment made him lean over and kiss the top of her head.
"– shhh – sleep –"
When she woke up he suggested they take a walk with Vhagar and she eagerly agreed.
The fresh air would certainly do both her and their baby good, he thought.
They were both bubbling with energy and optimism.
"I want to tell my mother about this." She said as they walked through the park, and he threw her a quick, horrified look.
"I don't know if it's a good idea. What if they report us? What we did is illegal." He mumbled.
He was slowly beginning to forget that their relationship was incestuous.
He wondered if, if he confirmed his paternity at the Registry Office so that his child could bear his name, someone would realise that something was wrong.
She glanced at him in disbelief, her eyebrows arched in pain.
"It will be her grandchild. She won't, she certainly won't. She's angry with us, but… I can't imagine we'll hide it from everyone. After all, it will start to show eventually." She said, and he swallowed hard, realising that she was right.
Either way, it would eventually come out.
They decided to kill two birds with one stone – he called his mother and she called hers and they both arranged to meet at the same place and time – in one of the cafés not far from their flat.
Sitting at one of the tables by the window, they held hands – her gaze, despite his horror and feeling that it was a mistake, told him that they had done the right thing.
His lamp in the dark room.
Thanks to her, he knew where to go and why.
Alicent and Rhaenyra bumped into each other in the entrance – their gazes expressed shock, discomfort and confusion. Alicent spotted them sitting in the distance, and Rhaenyra followed her gaze and pressed her lips together, lowering her head.
That was it.
They both finally walked over to the table and sat down next to each other reluctantly, trying not to look at each other.
"Can you tell me what this is supposed to mean?" Her mother asked her, and his niece twisted restlessly in her chair.
He lowered his gaze, feeling ashamed but proud at the same time, his fingers tightened on hers.
We are going to have a baby.
"I'm pregnant. You're going to be grandmothers. It's already decided." She said in a trembling voice, leaving them with no illusions about her decision.
Rhaenyra and Alicent drew in a loud breath and averted their gazes. Rhaenyra pressed her lips together and shook her head with tears in her eyes, while Alicent hid her face in her hands, drawing in air loudly.
There was a long, awkward silence.
He looked at his niece in pain, seeing the tears running down her cheeks, and stroked the delicate skin of her wrist with his thumb – he knew that she felt what he felt, that she was simultaneously afraid and ashamed of what they had done, on the other hand unable to imagine that they could have done otherwise.
"And now what? Hm?" Rhaenyra asked in a breaking voice, impatient and desperate.
"We will raise our child and have a wedding. A church wedding. I'm working on it."
"What?" Alicent mumbled, as if she had just woken up from some terrible dream, looking at everyone around her as if she thought she had overheard herself.
"A dispensation and appropriate payment is required for this, but I will sort it out. Everything will be as it should be." He said, looking at his mother, her brown eyes big and red from tears, her lips parted in disbelief.
"What do you want to hear? Congratulations?" Rhaenyra asked, shaking her head.
"I want my child to be able to count on her two grandmothers as well as the rest of our family, but I do not expect it. I thought you deserved to hear it from us." Said his Rhaenys, trying to calm herself.
Rhaenyra burst into sobs, as if something inside her had finally snapped, burying his face in her hand – he saw his mother tighten her fingers on her hand lying on the table, and his half-sister did not push her away.
He pressed his lips together, refusing to let his own tears run down his cheeks, hearing only sighs and sobs, a sense of shame and grief rising in the air, suffocating them all.
Finally, his mother wiped her nose and took a breath, closing her eyes.
"Since there is no turning back and you have made your decision, there is nothing more we can do. This child, if born, will not be guilty of anything and deserves our love and yours. I would not forgive myself if I were not present in my own grandchild's life because of my beliefs." She said, and he lowered his gaze and nodded, feeling like a little boy again.
Rhaenyra took her hand from her grasp and sighed, sitting for a moment with her eyes closed, as if thinking about something.
"I have heard…I have heard that you have passed on to my daughter the premises that previously belonged to Harwin." She said, finally looking up at him with her bright, piercing eyes.
"I did."
Rhaenyra stared at him, pain, grief, sadness and hundreds of other emotions in her gaze that must have just ripped her heart apart.
"Do you love my daughter?" She asked with emphasis on each word, as if she wanted him to understand exactly what the purpose of her question was.
He swallowed hard, looking at her with a blank stare.
"I've loved her for as long as I can remember. Since that holidays at the seaside. It didn't hurt me then that you ran off with Luke. I didn't give a shit about any of you. What hurt me was that you took her with you." He whispered in breaking voice, feeling a single, lonely, heavy tear run down his face.
Him crying that night in hospital, after the operation, when his mother told him that his niece had returned home.
They hadn't even said goodbye to each other.
Rhaenyra's lips pressed together in a thin line, her eyes glazed over, her brow arching in an expression of distress at the memory of those events.
"Will you take care of her? And my grandchild?" She asked, and he felt his throat squeeze so tightly that he had trouble catching his breath.
"Yes."
She nodded, as if accepting something, all around them the conversations of others, the waiters walking by, the smell of coffee, tea and cakes. Rhaenyra looked at him finally and forced herself to smile, in which, however, he saw a hint of sincerity.
Some kind of relief, a conviction that things would be what they were meant to be.
"Make her happy."

Best friends older brother trope with Gojo (smutty af)
Tumblr media
Gojo, your best friend’s older brother, fuck this is going against every girl code in the world. You grew up with them, your families were close so you spent every summer at their grandparents and they came with you on holiday. And to be fair, you never saw him like that anyways, that was until this summer. Usually, he’d be stuck in hisgaming with friends or outside playing basketball. You stayed with your mother for the first half of the summer, and you were invited to stay with their family for the rest as she had a holiday booked with your father and Gojo’s parents abroad. It was just like normal, except well it was evident that he had a really good summer.
Walking into the living room and dumping your bag on your best friends bed, you went to get a glass of water and some snacks to watch some tv with. But there he was, hair annoyingly perfect and my god did he have abs now? Sweaty, shirtless and glistening. You could’ve had an aneurism right there and then. “-n, Y/n?” Spaced out of course you did, “Hey! How have you been stranger?” He throws a signature smirk your way and did your stomach just flip flop?
This isn’t right, you should see him like a brother or at the very least a very platonic friend. You both conversant with each other, it was like no time had passed- he still teases you and you still get playfully annoyed at his dumb remarks. You explain the situation, that you’re staying here until both of your parents come back from their vacation. “Well, it’s good having you around it hasn’t been the same without you.” You couldn’t tell if he was flirting with you or just playing around.
Days turned into weeks, and your time at the Gojo house proved to be an adventure of its own. There was an unspoken tension between you and Satoru that made you confused the most. It was the late-night conversations on the rooftop, stolen glances across the dinner table, and playful banter filled the air. There was an undeniable magnetism pulling you and Satoru closer together, yet the fear of jeopardizing your friendship held you back.
With each passing day, the bond between you and Satoru grew stronger, and the line between friendship and something more became blurred. The forbidden desires that had remained dormant for years began to surface, igniting a flame that couldn't be extinguished.
One scorching afternoon, as you lounged by the pool, the heat seemed to intensify between you and Gojo. Your friend left to hang out with her boyfriend so it left the both of you to try cool down in the pool. Beads of sweat trickled down your temples as you watched Gojo emerge from the water, his toned physique glistening.
You shook your head, unable to tear your eyes away from him. The air was thick with an unspoken tension, and your heart raced in anticipation.
“Do you feel this? Tell me I’m not crazy,” he starts to swim closer to you, “We can’t do this, you’re my younger sisters friend,” Gojo is looking at your lips and deep into your eyes.
“Yes, you can, I’m eighteen and she doesn’t need to know and if she finds out she can get over it.”The heat is unbearable, the tips of your noses are touching and you’re breathing in synchronicity. “Fuck,” he pauses, “I guess we are.”
Closing the gap between your lips, kissing you in the pool, underneath the water, his fingers are already slipping inside the lining of your suit, long, insistent. “Gojo,” you plead.
Sitting on the edge of the pool step, you settle in his lap- your chest still underwater but your head available for his miscreants. As you settles over his lap, a growing bulge you pretend isn’t there, like his dick isn’t burying itself up in your skimpy suit. “Please, Gojo,” you whine, you start to ache- unconsciously grinding on him. “I gotta say, I love hearing you say my name like that.” Kissing your neck and bitting the love of your ear, sending shivers down your spine.
“You’re already wet for me right now, I can tell the difference between the slick your pussy makes and water.” He pulls the bikini bottom aside and his cock slides between your soft thighs, up against that wet flesh. Prodding. Teasing. Hard.
As he stretches you open, the initial thrust inside is slow and pleasantly sharp. He's big, shifting his hips slowly for you to take it all in. He feels unlike anyone you’ve ever been with; there's a sadistic edge to his slowness, dragging each stroke as if he wants to slide over every nerve in the tight confines of your cunt. “Fuck, I know you like this so let me hear it, she’s gone to the shops and won’t be back for a while.”
Moaning louder and whimpering his name like a mantra you listen well to his commands.
You gasp into his mouth, unconsciously raising your leg up to wrap around his waist as he supports you with his arm, your fingernails clawing at his shoulders as you feel yourself reach your high, the coil in your tummy snapping. Water rushes around your waists, splashes between your bodies, and you feels so warm, so weightless. Blissed out and fucked out.
“Gonna cum? I know you are I can feel it, it’s ok I’m right here, you can do it, don’t act like you don’t want me to fuck you even harder than this. You’re clenching and squeezing my fat dick that’s buried in your cunt, I’m right here babe. Come for me baby. ”
“Y/N? Gojo? I’m back! What’s up?” Your friend of five years asks, Gojo drapes his arms around you like he’s giving you a hug, innocent, friendly. “Nothing much, it was too hot in the house and we wanted a dip in the pool,” you quickly added.
“Ah, well I have an assignment that’s due tomorrow so I can’t join you but I put the ice cream in the freezer so feel free to get one.”
Gojo’s sister leaned in to theatrically whisper, “But if I catch you eating my Ben and Jerry’s cookies and cream ice cream I’ll kill you.” You shifted yourself further back into the pool to avoid her seeing what you two are doing, immediately regretting it because Gojo’s dick hit a spot that sent you a little haywire. Causing you to gasp. Your friend looked at you in concern, “Just stood on my foot wrong” reclaiming your composure.
Gojo started to rock his hips, pushing back into your soft body, ass bouncing against him underwater, before the door hushes over the frame again. Quietly shushing and grabbing a handful of your soft ass, squeezing and rubbing. He buries his fingers into your flesh till you feel that you’re going to be bruised. At this point, his cock is so hard that the friction of it inside of you makes you feel so full, that it’s so achingly deep. You cum fast and hard, ducking your head under the water and covering your mouth lips with his hand.
“We need to do that again. Fuck.” He whispers into your ear.

Summer is finally here. It's one of your favorite season for a few reason. Of course you don't like being at school. It's not your thing. You are just an average student who just go there just because its needed in life.
And the other reason is, you like being outdoors. Yes, You are not a very active person but you did grew up swimming, playing badminton and then also camping with your family. They like going on trips and planning vacations so maybe that's why you are into it though you are also the type of person who just lays down under the shade and read books even surrounded by a gorgeous scenery.
"What are you reading?" A deep yet soothing voice asks as he appears from behind the tree that you are leaning on.
You look up and see your beautiful boyfriend. "Hi..." you say, smiling and squinting because of the brightness.
He goes down to sit down next to you. "Hi..." he whispers, leaning in for a kiss on the lips.
"How did setting up the tents my Dad and brother go?" You caress his cheek
"Went well..." he grunts, sitting next to you. "This is my first time doing the glamping thing..."
"My dad tries to let me and mom experience camping... but he know we can't be into the nature that well so... when we go on a trip... he makes sure to rent a place where he can set up tents. And make us choose where to sleep..."
"And you decided... both of us will be the outsiders... sleeping in the tent?"
"Why?" You raise your brows, smirking. "You don't want to spend time with me?"
He scoffs. "Of course I do..." he goes for another kiss again but this time his hand is making a move to. It goes straight to your chest, feeling your hardened n!pples under your white mini summer dress "I can't wait to cuddle with you..."
"Me too." You smile, bitting your lower lip and batting your eyes lashes at him.
"Fuck." He hisses, crashing his lips harder this time against yours pushing his tongue in and exploring.
His gesture gets you moaning quietly and closing your eyes. You even drop the book you were reading and let yourself get lost with him. Coz just by his kiss, you are already in heaven.
"We..." he pauses, "should control ourselves." He says, smiling. "We can get caught here."
You pout as you lean your back against the tree like earlier. "I wanted more."
"I know babe." He kisses you on the forehead.
"We'll not get an alone time... not until everyone is asleep... and that is late at night..."
"Babe, it's okay. We can do whatever we want later."
You are still not satisfied. You know that  this is just your first day on the trip and you still have a few days to spend alone with him especially during the night time since you two would be sleeping alone together in a tent. But, you are craving for him NOW. And you want more intimacy.
"Yeosangie..." you get up, giddy.
"Yes?"
"Let's go for a dip in the pool."
He blinks. "Now?"
"Yeah! Since, my brother and father is busy preparing for dinner, cutting firewoods also while mom is cooking other dishes inside the house. We can go for a dip before dinner."
"Are you sure... that they will be fine without us helping?"
"Yes!" You pull Yeosang up with you and  make your way to the side of the house where the pool is.
While going there, you see your brother, Wooyoung walking towards the car. He waves at you and Yeosang.
"Dad and I will just go to the store downtown. We forgot some ingredients mom needed. Also we are buying more wood."
"Okay! Can you buy ice cream too?" You say as you start to untie your dress at the back.
"Okay!" Wooyoung then gets into the car and drive off with your dad.
Just like that.
Yeosang is still in shock how you move so fast from being in the cutest mini summer dress to a two piece black bikini in front of him.
"Close your mouth babe..." you tease him as you go in the pool.
"You never cease to amaze me." He says as he unbuttons his top. "I adore you, y/n."
He calls out your name, with the most sensual eye contact while he follows you in the pool, making you giggle.
He chases after you as you try to swim away to tease him a bit more. But he is fast and eager to be close to you.
"How dare you swim away after pulling a stunt of undressing infront of me?" He pulls you closer, his hand on your hips making sure you can't go anywhere away from him.
You are blushing. You could feel your cheeks get warm not just because of the summet heat but from the way he looks at you. Those beautiful and angelic eyes of him always makes you melt.
"Just teasing you, babe." You make the first move. Starts with nibbling his neck then going down to his collarbone until you reach down to his pecks.
"Babe." He breathes as you let your tongue do its magic to your boyfriend. Playing around his hardened n!pples. "Oh.... babe!" He closes his eyes and let himself feel it all.
You then let your free hand reach down his swimming shorts, pushing it off releasing the beast hiding in there. One of your favorite thing in this world.
You begin by stroking his beautiful length, feeling every part from bottom to tip. Then pumping him slowly and yet satisfyingly.  Your touch makes him insane. He can't even control his moans. His whiny moans and heavy breathing is everything for you.
Your eyes glances down and see how thick and hard it is under your touch. Fuck he is so full. Just thinking about him being in you is making you drool and excited.
"Babe," you smile, bitting your lips. "The sun had began to set... it's a little darker now..." the way you speak changes. You are definitely making him know that you are in need of d!ck in you.
Your hands pump him more, under water. It's something both of you have never done and experience before but it feels good. Plus being in public and having the rush of 'what if they catch us' always excited the two of you and makes you horny more.
"Do you want to... fuck me here or..." you whisper each words on his ear before you push your tongue in his mouth.
You are taking over. Making the moves. Making him flustered and yet more aroused than he is.
"Wait 'till we get to our tent?" You ask
Your hands are still busy. You continue to pump him hard whilst not forgetting to stroke the tip, sending strong sensations in his body.
"Fuck." He hisses.
His tiny cries. It's music to your ears.
You both find a spot in the pool where he can lean his back and let you do the work. Plus "hide" whatever you two are doing in the pool from the window view from the house.
"Does it feel good, babe?" You asks, kissing his milk skin and sucking on his peck.
"Fucking good." He leans his head back for a second. To take it all in.
"How... about this...." an evil-ish smile spread across your lips as you pull the string of your swimsuit on your hips. Now, exposing you down there. "Now let's go to the exciting part..."
"Holy... shit." Yeosang pulls you to a hug and kisses you intensely. "Who... would've known... that the innocent girl... I met two years ago... would get naked in public like this... for me." He says in between kisses.
"Only for you..." you answer wrapping your arms around his neck. "My body is only for you to enjoy..." you add.
Then as the skies got completely dark and the automatic lamp post around the pool lit up, you both start to fuck.
The sound of the wind, the tree brunches shuffling and the fire crackling from the bonfire from afar is setting the mood more.
He eases himself in you the second you spread your legs around him, giving him all the access. "So... fucking.... tight." He grunts in between thrust.
The water around you ripples. Your boobs bounces at every slam. And every time he hits your spot a breathless moan escapes your lips.
"Do you want to peak here or..." he asks as he glances at the driveway, slighlty nervous if your family is going to be back any time soon.
"You're worried if my brother and dad would see us...?" You smile at your question
"Of course... I don't want them to see me..." he pauses as he grunts (still fucking you) "d!ck out and their princess getting fucked." His lips quirk up a smile
"Ahh!" You throw your head back as you felt a sensation when he hits it harder. "Fuck! Yeosang! You are so damn good at this."
He lowers his head, bit the hem of your bikini tube top and pull it off exposing your round, plump and lickable breasts. "Holy fucking shit." He dives in and starts to suck the life out of you through your boobs. His tongue hitting the sensitive part.
"Ah! Aaah!" You are crying harder now.
"Ssshh... babe..." he smiles as he kisses you on the lips to help you control yout noises.
"Sorry." You breathe. "I can't... ugh!" He thrusted so you paused to moan again. "Help it."
"Maybe we should take this in private. I want to hear your breakdown but only for me to hear..." he licks your trembling lower lip
"Maybe.. yeah... we should... coz, I can't act take it anymore."
"Your cheeks are getting so warm..." he kisses each on. "Wait here..." he eases himself out of you to gather your things. And immidiately you felt the biggest void in you. You want to cry about it but you know that when you two get inside, he'll tear you apart more.
Like what he did the first time you two had sex for your birthday last year. After that, your life have never the same.
"Babe," you call as you two get out of the pool.
"Hmm?"
"When we get inside... can I try to... be on top?"
He cups you by the jaw and gifts you with the sweetest smooch. "Of course. You can take control... I enjoyed it when you make the move... maybe we can do this often."

𝟷. 𝙾𝙷! 𝚂𝚆𝙴𝙴𝚃 𝚂𝚄𝙼𝙼𝙴𝚁
15.06 pm. California
Clear afternoon, the sun at its brightest, ushering in the summer. Squeals of children saying goodbye to each other for the summer, hoping to see each other again, and some were just happy not to be going back to school. This was the case for the seniors, in a few months some were going to university and others were going to start their working life. The corridor of the school was full of people who were gradually disappearing and the summer holidays were beginning.
'Finally' Dipper Pines sighed as he stuffed his last book into his backpack 'Vacation is officially starting.' Dipper closed the locker with the intention of going to meet his sister.
'DIPPER!'
'Aaaaah!' The Pines twin put a hand to his heart in an attempt to calm himself.
'Aren't you excited?' .Mabel wiggled and jumped up and down with excitement. ”After a long time we'll be back in Gravity Falls."
The Pines twins hadn't been back to Gravity Falls in about 5 years; high school had taken up a lot of their time and besides their mother, she didn't support the idea of them going back after the big mess with Stanley and Stanford. So this year they were going to Gravity Falls before entering college.
“What about Kai?” They started walking.
“He'll still be in recovery, you know what that old man, like." Mabel put a hand to her chest, "How can he do that to my Kai? It's torture!
“Don't complain, it's been good for Maths.”
The twins walked in the direction of the class where their classmate was, they talked about how they were looking forward to going back and the things they had to teach their friend.
“Are we going to talk to her about what happened to Kai," Mabel asked.
“Obviously not," Dipper replied confidently.
“But he has a right to know something," his sister said.
“I don't want Kai to think we're crazy and take him away from us.
“Oh! Dipper got sentimental” Mabel started laughing as she patted her brother's shoulder. Dipper grabbed his sister's hands and tried to stop her from slapping him on the shoulder, but Mabel started kicking him; people passing in the hallway gave the twins a strange look.
“Mabel, stand still," Dipper tried to defend himself with his limbs.
“You leave my hands alone," Mabel replied.
“I really can't leave you two alone for a minute.
The brothers stopped fighting at the sound of the third voice that had joined the conversation.
“Kai!” shouted the twins in surprise at the same time.
‘Shall we go? I can't wait to get out of this prison," he pointed to the exit.
The trio headed for the exit, talking about the last few classes they'd had and the excitement of the holidays starting.
“We have a lot to show you, you're going to love it, there's a beautiful lake, on that same boat I met one of the loves of my life!” We also have to introduce you to Uncle Stan and Uncle Stan..." Mabel spoke with excitement.
They continued walking while Mabel narrated all the things they could do in Gravity Falls, Kai listened to her attentively while he hugged her arm and Dipper was just making sure they didn't pass the street of his house. “There's an arcade and there's also an..." Mabel was talking until she was interrupted. “We're home, Mabel," interrupted Dipper.“So soon," complained Mabel, throwing a tantrum like a little girl, "I want to keep telling Kai things!“You'll talk to me in the morning, don't worry," Kai soothed as he hugged her goodbye.
Then he turned to Dipper to say goodbye with a fist bump.“Tomorrow at seven o'clock at our house. Dipper pointed out to him.” Not a minute more, not a minute less. Kai lifted his right arm and his left arm could be in his heart, "I promise I'll be at your front door at six in the morning.“Yes, yes," Dipper pushed Kai friendly across the pavement and they each went their separate ways out of sight.
6:57 a.m ,California
'We're going to be late," the younger Pines twin was spinning around, looking like he was about to have a stroke. 'Don't worry, Dipper," Mabel tried to reassure him, who was putting the harness on Bamboleos. 'You told him at six o'clock, he's probably just around the corner. Dipper sighed and rolled his eyes as he saw that his sister wasn't helping.
The bus was leaving at 8 a.m. and the bus station was 20 minutes away. Dipper looked back at his digital wrist watch "6:58" The younger twin put his hands to his face and rubbed them all over his face trying to control himself. 'Are you ready yet?" asked the twins' mother as she came down the stairs. She had offered to drive the three of them to the bus stop. 'Kai hasn't come yet.' Dipper said as he anxiously swung his leg.
'Well, it's not too late'. His mother replied. She took the suitcases with her children and put them in the car while they waited for Kai. "7:00" Dipper was about to get an ulcer, normally Kai was on time but he didn't understand why he wasn't on time today, and it was getting on his nerves.
He stared at the street Kai had to pass through in the hope that he would just show up and they could get to the bus station in time. 'Go start the car, Mom, I'll get the bags in'. Dipper grabbed one of the suitcases when he saw his mother nodding in agreement. Once again he looked at his watch "7:02" His body began to sweat from nerves, so to forget about Kai's tardiness he put the suitcases back in. Until he noticed that one of the suitcases was missing, as if that wasn't enough now he had lost a suitcase. He intended to go and ask his sister but she was too busy dancing with Bamboleos.
'Sir, there's a chance you might let me ride with you in your car," he said. When Dipper heard the voice that interrupted his head, so he turned his head to find Kai. Her hair was a bit messy, her breathing was ragged and her jacket was misplaced, but she was still smiling. 'You're late," I said, squinting at her as I pointed to my watch. She just sighed as she rolled her eyes. 'I know you're glad I came," he said as he handed me his suitcase to put in the boot.
I took her suitcase ignoring how she had repeated my words in a more childish and sharp tone, when I put everything in the boot I closed it and turned around to look at her with the intention of leaving, but she started to look for something in her backpack. I watched her as she took something out of her backpack, I could see that sparkle in her eyes that always fascinated me, the light brown colour of her eyes, that small red mole near her eye, and the mascara on her eyelashes which had smudged a little. "She has very pretty eyes. I thought to myself as I stared at her until...
"Here, for my lateness". She interrupted my thoughts by holding out a chocolate bar.
"Hmm, thank you" I said as I moved to the back door of the car to open it, she gave me a grateful smile. When I closed the door I went to the passenger seat next to my mother.Mabel was overjoyed when Kai sat next to her. She hugged Kai and they went on like that for quite a while, until Bamboleos stepped in to greet Kai. 'I missed you too, fatty'. He said to Bamboleos as he dragged him along.
'Are we all ready," my mother asked as she walked out of the neighborhood. To which we all responded in unison with a yes.-I thank you again, Mrs. Pines, for letting me go on holiday with your children. Kai spoke to her with some embarrassment. We had known each other for almost 5 years and I was still shy with my parents; even when I was at our house I still asked if I could have a glass of water! 'Don't give them to me honey, I'm glad you're happy. You're like part of the family now," my mother explained. My mother had always adored Kai, since the first day Mabel brought her home to do biology work together my mother had been delighted with her; even though she knew I didn't like her at the time.
The rest of the trip to the station went by in the blink of an eye, Mabel kept telling Kai everything she couldn't tell him in the middle of the day. My mother was humming a song that had been on the radio, and I, I was dying of nerves, it had been so long since I had been back to Gravity Falls, how everyone will be, how everything had changed, how... how everything was going to be without him.
7:52 ,Bus station
We had arrived at the bus station a few minutes ago, we had already done all the checking, and my mother had already cried. We were in the back of the bus, getting ready for the journey. Mabel was next to Bamboleos, and I was next to Kai, who was putting her suitcase on the top shelf.
'OK, so right now we only have 6 hours to go and we'll arrive in Gravity Falls, we'll be there by lunchtime.' Dipper said.
He was sitting by the window with a brochure of Gravity Falls, the last stop. Mabel was sitting behind Dipper next to Bamboleos, and Kai was putting the extra suitcases on the top shelf. When Kai finished and moved with the intention of sitting down, but when he couldn't, he stared at Dipper waiting for Dipper to telepathically know what he wanted.Dipper felt a look on his face and turned his gaze to Kai.
'What's wrong with you?' he asked, Kai was still staring at him waiting for him to guess the answer.
A shiver ran through his body as he felt Kai's gaze on him. Though it all made sense as soon as Kai pointed to the window and then to his spot, then made a heart shape with his hands.
Dipper rolled his eyes back as he shifted in his seat, once he had his belt on Kai stepped over him and sat down on the seat next to the window 'Was that so hard to tell me,' Dipper reproached him, narrowing his eyes.
Kai gave him a big smile in response. 'It was so much more fun in that way, you get really bitter when there's a lot of stress involved'.
Dipper just sighed as he pulled out a book for the trip, then looked at Kai who was already prepared with her helmets and finally Dipper looked back to see how his sister was doing, but it was no surprise when he found Bamboleos and Mabel already half asleep.
Dipper sighed again as he smiled faintly, 'It's going to be a long summer.

tgm fic recs
@stcverogers tagged one of my fics in a rec list yesterday and i thought it was such a good idea, i wanted to share some of my own favs
in no particular order:
* * *
hangman
one time thing // kiss the sun (fight the fire) // love that’s a real long shot  He nods again like that’s exactly what he expected you to say. “I think you’re wrong. Doesn’t matter now though, does it?” i would rec anything by @callsignvalley but this is probably the series that got me most. i also love tailspin and its rooster follow up steady
california coast in your green eyes // i’ll carry my bags just until i can hold you again (2 different series) Bob’s older sister gets the news that his plane went down during a training drill, and shows up at the hospital at the same time as an arrogant pilot. //  Six months after they break up, Jake shows up at Julie’s Family thanksgiving. A second chance holiday romance with fake dating, family drama, and fall festivities. @theharddeck these fics, esp carry my bags, feel so so real and human to me, i love julie and the characterisation of jake feels so on point i also love her series out of the clear, blue sky as well as kinda might, sorta like, love you a little bit + its follow ups
i’ve been holdin’ out so long (4 part series) You can’t stand Hangman, but your dreams lately say otherwise. He notices. @steadfastconviction i adore Bluegrass and her sass
do not engage (series) You hate Hangman. Really, you do... Or so you like to think, until it begins to seem like that distaste might not be as strong as you’d prefer to believe. @clints-lucky-arrow the entire f&f universe is great but Duchess especially is a badass
afterburn (series) It had been clear from the moment you got inside a cockpit that you were going to be something special. You certainly weren’t the youngest Naval Aviator to be invited to TOPGUN, but you had been the youngest to graduate at number one in more than thirty years. Which is all the more reason why it was so tragic that you would never, ever, be able to fly again. @top-hhun is a master of setting a scene
the off-season (series) It was supposed to just be one summer. But somehow you found yourself living in your grandparent’s Maine vacation house indefinitely. It was quiet when the summer tourists left, but tolerable. That was, until your brother’s friend from college needed a place to crash and he somehow wound up staying in your guest bedroom. Also indefinitely. @ereardon just started this series but i’m so into this world (au) already
fuck (the universe) (series) You’re a Kazansky–Tom “Iceman” Kazinsky’s youngest daughter–and you’ve taken after your father and become a Naval aviator. You finished at the top of your class at Top Gun and have worked diligently and fruitlessly to get to where you are now: North Island. You don the call-sign Wisteria not only because the beauty of the flower but because of its lethal qualities. i mention @roosterbruiser below bc i read landslide first but holy fuck indeed
* * *
rooster
landslide (series) It’s been almost three years since the accident that took half of her, and Faye “Clover” Ledger seems fine, really. She loves her old house, she has a perpetually expanding vinyl collection, she’s got a job she likes on base, and she is only a short drive from the beach. She’s grounded--literally. @roosterbruiser landslide is one of those fics i have to read in little bits because it’s just too good. beautiful writing that just transports me (and i love faye, she may be the most developed fanfic oc i’ve ever read - and I love her taste in music)
baby let’s play house // pt 2  you got yourself in trouble. bradley has a bit of a savior complex. together, you come up with what could potentially be the worst idea in the longstanding and illustrious history of bad ideas. @seasonsbloom i just really love this fic, it shows all the quietest best parts of bradley
first impressions  at the induction day for the newest recruits of the Golden Warriors of VFA 87, rooster assumes you’re a civilian, instead of, you know, a member of his team? you see how far you can push it before he figures it out.  @ohcaptains‘s pilot in this fic is the badass bitch i wish i could be. as well as fucking funny.
like i can (series) After yet another bad date and tired of swiping on apps, the Dagger Squad steps in to help you out by setting you up on a series of blind dates. Much to Rooster’s dismay. @sometimesanalice perfect blend of cute, funny and heartmelting
* * *
bob
he’s so pretty (when he goes down on me) // pt 2  things between you and Bob are strictly business: he’s your backseater, and that’s all there is. @seasonsbloom‘s writing is so good it made me want to try writing fic myself
* * *
hangman x rooster
we’re fools to make war In a Walmart at three am, between beef jerky and tortilla chips, with the lights flickering above them like it’s the fucking twilight zone, Bradley wants him more than he’s ever wanted anyone. or: it's a hundred degrees in texas. i can’t find a tumblr link for this but the writer is @baroness-elsa. this is 66k words and i read it in two days which probably says enough. holy shit.
* * *
there are many many more (this fandom is FULL of talented writers, damn) but this already took me an hour so that’ll be part 2 haha

hi wanders in id love to hear more about band dusts lore if u have anything to share!!
oh my god oh my god, i love you 'if i have any to share' DUDE - this man has enough lore to fill an entire book, so much so that i genuinely forget hes a character and not an actual person.
so, im not gonna give you ALL the lore, cus, like i said, i have his stuff in my head down to the tiniest detail, and it would be like telling someone your entire life story - SO, ill give you a generalisation of his childhood!
TW in description!
Dustin Sal-in Calvateyla, or 칼바테일라, 더스틴 살인, was born intersex on February 10th 2000, to Ae-Cha Calvateyla, nee Yoon, and Joshua Calvateyla. Ae-Cha was born in Incheon, to a small family, while Joshua was born in Missouri. they met when Joshua travelled to Korea to take photos, as a photographer, and met Ae-Cha under a dogwood tree, took photos of her, and they eventually got talking.
Ae-Cha wore the pants n the relationship, confidant, bossy, she knew what she wanted and how to get it, while Joshua was more reserved, sweet but timid. the kind of guy you cant help but like.
One of Dusts earliest memories is of his dad taking him to the park, something they did regularly, to take photos with him - he had this beautiful old film camera that Dust was fascinated by, and afterwards theyd get ice cream. Dust used to always beg his dad to take photos of him too, like his model. which is funny, because nowadays, he runs from the paparazzi.
Ae-Cha and Joshua moved to the sates and got married, moving to California, and it was clear from the get go that Ae-Cha was going to be running the house. she ran a very korean themed home, from the language spoken, to the style of decoration, to the food eaten, everything was korean. So, when Dust was born, he grew up in a very korean environment, despite living in the states.
Dust was actually born in korea, because Ae-Cha booked a vacation back to her home country while heavily pregnant, and gave birth there - (she didnt want to pay the overly expensive american healthcare money, so, she cheated the system) - and they stayed there for about a month with tiny Dust.
Life was fairly formal for a few years - until along came baby Ash, Dusts little brother, when Dust was 4. he took to his brother well, and promised to love him with his whole heart.
Joshuas favourite colour was always blue, while Ae-Chas was red, and so, when Ash was born and came out with a shock of red hair, they decided to dye Dusts hair this bright blue colour - an odd choice, but something that happened. at this point, Dust had NEVER had a haircut, and so his hair was LONG, and bright blue after they dye job.
Ae-Cha was diagnosed as schizophrenic when she was 16, something she never really spoke to her family about, but that her husband was aware of. its the fact that she constantly refused help and therapy that was the issue.
She started going downhill when Dust has turned 5, Ash barely a year old, started not taking her medication, refusing any kind of help, including from her husband, and was incredibly angry all the time. she got fired from her business job for being disruptive and not doing her work on time, which only pushed her further.
One day, as Dust was playing in the kitchen, he hears his omma start screaming at his dad, who was baking some cupcakes at the time, and, with his tiny 5 year old brain, thought the smartest thing to do with all the noise going on, was hide in the cupboard, so, he went in with his little bunny toy, and peered out to watch his parents.
all he really remembers nowadays is a lot of shouting, a gun being waved, 2 quick shots and his dad falling to the floor, followed by his ommas scream, and then one more shot, as she fell down too. He remembers going over to them, staining his feet with blood, as he tried to wake them up, but they didnt, and he started feeling like something was wrong, so, in his panic, he scoops up his tiny brother from his cradle in the living room, and runs out the backdoor, and never looks back.
I.. have WAY more to the story that here, i was even expecting to write more, but i just realised how LONG this is, so, ill shut up now, but if you or anyone else wants me to continue, PLEASE DO SEND ASKS, i LOVE getting asks about my characters, but especially the band au, cus i have SO MUCH on it that i havent mentioned at all!

______________________________________________________________________
You had been living in the small town you were born in for all your life, and that meant all your life, you never spent a year abroad, never went to schools outside and even vacations or visits out of town were never longer than a week. You basically knew this place like your right pocket, and everyone there knew you and you and your family as well.
It wasn’t that you particularly hated it, it was more that you were so goddamn bored of it, this place felt like a desert at times, and really, the only thing that even attracted people from outside was the diner down the streets, ‚Freddy Fazbears Pizza‘ a pizzeria ran by two of your fathers friends he met in college. The place was actually a huge hit all around the state, gradually extending its popularity all around the country, which was because of, you guessed, the children’s entertainment animatronics that had always been the face of the franchise.
Despite it easily being the hottest place in town for both children and adults, it wasn’t a place you particularly liked to spend your time at, first of, the animatronics always creeped you out a little bit, secondly, since Henry was particularly close to your dad, should you have run into him at the restaurant, you‘d always have to awkwardly try and chitchat, which was nearly unavoidable with him being at the place like every day anyway. The only time you ever really went down there was when your parents asked you to go and pick up some pizza to eat for lunch or dinner and despite him sometimes being a bit too friendly for your own taste, Henry was a nice man, often times telling you to keep the money your dad gave you and to take the food on the house, that was always a welcomed boost for your wallet.
Right now, you sat on the sidelines of your family’s garden in the shade trying to block out the soldering heat that was a summer in Utah, your family was hosting a barbecue at your house, inviting Henry with his wife and kid, as well as the Aftons from down the block, you never knew them as well as the Emilys, but you were always well aware of their existence.
In the garden, three kids ran around the active sprinklers, Charlotte, Elizabeth and Evan. Out of the bunch, Charlie was the one that you were most comfortable with, she was a nice and respectful kid and most of all knew her boundaries, while on the other hand Elizabeth was just too extroverted and energetic for your taste, and while he was a good kid at heart, Evan always felt like a bit of a time bomb. You never wanted to handle the awkwardness of accidentally making a small child cry that you always felt came with interacting with him.
Both Liz and Evan belonged to the Aftons, they did have another brother called Michael, but just like you, he was long an adult and instead of jumping around the cold sprinklers rather sat in the shade, far away from anyone else.
You looked up to the parents mostly standing out in the middle of the porch, your mum and dad were both next to the active grills, chatting with Henry and his wife, while off on the side a bit away from them, there he was, William.
Honestly, you never spend a lot of time around him, for one, when you were down at the pizzeria, he was apparently working in the back and when you were home, if Michael was telling the truth he was usually in the downstairs basement working on new ‚creations‘. All enough to tell you that he wasn’t very sociable which felt a bit ironic knowing he managed a restaurant chain targeted at kids.
The only times you saw him was when he occasionally chatted with your dad in front of the house, peeking out his office at the pizzeria or that one time he helped your mom fix her car, but really you didn’t remember the last time you saw him like this, in a populated area with his family, standing around in the open.
Visually, you didn’t find him particularly …unappealing, he was a tall, slender guy, with short and messy brown hair and most times in mediocrely formal attire, his eyes were quite cool and most times sunken in with a typical, wide, british grin, which was also mirrored in his accent.
Who were you really kidding here? You didn’t think of your dad‘s friend as unattractive, he was the typical, dilfy, older guy for you, and finding him so appealing was also one of the factors why you didn’t really come around to the pizzeria the last few years. You questioned your tastes a little bit, after all, a lot of the neighborhood kids and even some teens were straight up terrified of William for one reason or another and avoided his mere sight at all costs.
You sighed, trying to brush the thoughts out of your head, you wished you could have just watched this all from your room, but your parents insisted that you stayed outside with them now that you were ‚one of the adults‘.
„Y/n!“ you flinched suddenly realizing your dad was calling out to you, you shifted from the stones you were sitting on as quick as possible as you hurried over to know what he wanted.
„Gosh darling is your hearing okay?“ he shook his head as you tried recovering from your total daze earlier, he sighed, „ugh… would you be so kind and fetch some plates from inside, oh, and some ice pops for the kids?“ he asked.
„Oh uh, yeah sure.“ you replied swiftly, you didn’t mind getting away from the others outside for a little. You quickly walked inside and into the kitchen, leaning over the counter to pull around a recent newspaper, your eyes scanning around the articles for a bit as you slacked down into one of the kitchen island‘s stools and reading trough the texts, losing grasp of what you were even supposed to do.
„Still in here, eh?“ you perked up at the sudden voice in the room, mortified to see William of all standing at the opposite side of the kitchen island, crossing his arms.
Your scrambled up, nearly knocking over the stool you were on with you on it and barely preventing a fall, „Oh uh- Mr. Afton, do you need anything?“ His lips twitched up at your sudden nervousness and loss of composure, „Your fatha‘ told me to go in here to check on you, said‘ he didn’t want you sneaking off to your room.“
You hissed a little, knowing thats the exact type of thing your dad would say, not taking into account if it‘d embarrass you or not. You folded the newspaper back up and quickly pushed past him to go to the kitchen cabinets in which the plates were, almost feeling nervous as his arms barely crossed yours. „Don’t rush, I‘m not gonna blame ya‘ „
You turned back to him raising an eyebrow in confusion, „I‘m not an ‚extrovert‘ myself yknow‘ , Henry‘s usually the one handling the kids down at the diner.“ he leaned against the counter behind him as you pulled out a few plates from the cabinets and set them down, chuckling awkwardly.
You undoubtedly felt embarrassed being completely alone with him, not that it had even happened before anyway. You had no idea what to say, or talk about, but then, one small thing still came to your mind. „So uh, are you building any more of those …robots?“
He chuckled, „oh yeah, plenty, are you interested in that sorta stuff y/n?“ fuck, that was the first time you think you had even heard him say your name at all. „Heh- A little maybe, I was kinda curious I guess.“
„hmhm, well I‘m flattered, you can come down to the diner sometime, I‘d be happy to show you some the endos we use.“ he offered, it did seem sorta interesting… you always kinda wondered how those animatronics looked like without the faux fur covers, although, you weren’t sure if it wouldn’t be equally terrifying.
You turned back to the plates, you weren’t sure how many would be used, so you just got a good stack. You bent down to the cooler, cramming around for any ice pops to keep the children at bay for a while. „So, you got yourself a fit bloke round‘ here?“ you felt yourself a bit startled at the sudden questioning, trying to keep your eyes fixed on the cooler and not up to meet his.
„Eh- no Sir, I‘ve uh.. I‘ve never had a boyfriend before I don’t really like the guys around here.“ you replied, that was actually the truth, most the people your age around here were far from your type, your mom had asked you plenty of times what you thought about Michael, and while he definitely aged better than most around there, you couldn’t see anything like that with him.
„Well, what about the men?“ you nearly choked for a moment, awkwardly laughing as if what he said was just some generic joke, yet you had no real idea what he actually meant by it. You finally scrambled out the ice pops from the freezer, putting them on top of the stacks of plates, „Are ya sure you can carry all that by yourself?“ he asked, you paused, looking at the stack for a moment, but before you could reply he had already pushed himself beside you and picked up half the stack himself.
You smiled awkwardly, „Thank you Mr. Afton…“
You quickly picked up your stack, following him outside as you didn’t want to bother your parents anymore with your reluctance, “there you are y/n, what in the world you took so long?” Your father asked seeing you finally leave the building, you were already prepared for a long lecture and being damned to stand next to him by the grill but to your surprise, before you had to say anything, William answered for you, “Bloody hell Bill give them a rest would you? We were just inside having a chat.”
Your father looked over to William, then to you, before seemingly calming down, “Whatever you say Will…” before you could turn to thank him however, Elizabeth and Charlie were already scrambling to steal the ice pops you had from you. Precious kids.
Quickly after you were done handing out ice pops to the kids, you were urged by your mom to help deck out the table for everyone to eat, while doing so, unwillingly your gaze often wandere back to William, who had taken back the spot at the side of the porch, simply leaning against the wall, on occasion meeting your eyes only to have you scrambling back to deck our plates with napkins to which you swore you could hear him chuckle in the distance, his mere presence was seriously starting to kill you.
After everyone sat down to eat, of course he had to be sat right next to you, and sure maybe the bench you sat on was a little cramped since elizabeth wanted to sit right next to her father, but surely not so cramped that his shoulder had to be constantly pressing against yours right..?
“So y/n, are you still on the lookout for a job? Like I said I’d always offer you a place down at the diner.” Henry mentioned, “Ah no worries, I’m still trying to manage my work from home since its the easiest at the moment.” You replied, your form stiffening even more when William turned his head to you.
It probably didn’t look weird to the others, but for you he was starting to be so close you felt his breath on your neck, his eyes always threatening to meet yours should you just risk the tiniest glance over at him.
“Thats a shame, I’m sure you’d look fantastic in one of our work uniforms.” The comment made most adults at the table chuckle, even Henry, but for you, it split your mind, you felt your emotions make you dizzy
Before he could say anything else, as if your hand moved on its own, you ‘accidentally’ knocked over your glass of lemonade, spilling it all over your top and shorts.
“Oh- Y/n are you okay??” Charlotte peeked up from her side of the table, you quickly stood up, “Oh yeah- please excuse me I’ll go change in my room!” And before your parents or anyone else could say something you rushed back inside and upstairs, sliding down your door as soon as you slammed it shut.
Fuck
You had absolutely no idea what had just happened to your mind, it was like the pinnacle of tension in your body, not even neccecarily awkwardness but something else. You slowly got back up and took a deep breath before taking off your now very sticky shirt and shorts, ‘ am I letting myself get so tense just because of that man? What is wrong with me??’
You crammed out a new pair of shorts and a tshirt, god previously you didn’t even talk to William and now after so little interaction you were letting him get to you so much? For gods sake he was your dads friend and probably old enough to be your father too, this… this wasn’t becoming more than a silly crush right?
You grabbed a pillow from your bed and hit it atop your own head, trying to quite literally bonk yourself, by now, the sun had gone down, and surely it was time for everyone to leave anyways, you could surely go downstairs now right? Sure your dad would be pissed for you not saying goodbye to your guests, but you’d just have to deal with that.
You slowly made your way back down, it was awfully quiet, ‘huh… maybe they left already?’ It would have been much to your gratitude.
‘Huh… seems like it’ the front porch was empty, only the grills coal slowly burning out, you breathed a sigh of relief slowly backing away to lean against your kitchen island in victory, but ran into something else halfway, immediately flinching back.
Great. Just your fucking luck.
“AH- Mr- Mr. Afton, Im so sorry I thought you and your family were already gone-“ you stuttered, trying to hold composure even though you had just blatantly walked right into his chest, but he once again, merely chuckled.
“Its all right luv, I just wanted to say goodbye to ya, its not even me and you see each other aight?” You felt your face heat up, now it wasn’t just tension, it was straight up making you blush, was he meaning to do this????
“Oh of course- have a good night Mr. Afton, I- I’ll say hello next time in down at the diner!”
“Just visit me in my office, I’d be happy to have you around.” He grinned, one last time, before turning away from you, “Liz, Evan, Michael! Get over here we are going home.
You stood in the kitchen for another few moments, dumbfounded, red and confused.
This was, definitely becoming more than a silly crush.

Vee getting into Cosmic Frontiers while everyone else is in the demon realm so she’ll have something to talk with her mom and brother about when they get back!!!
“Okay, okay, okay. Camila is officially on vacation, and Luz has been excused from school absences for the same, the car has been towed and returned, and no one is the wiser.” Vee chewed on the tip of her pen. “What else? I guess I could do something around the house? It would probably be a nice surprise for Camila to come home to a nice clean house.”
Vee gathered up stray Halloween bits and bobs, tucking them back into their box. Extra teeth, old trick or treat buckets—anything pumpkin shaped went into the bin. Vee tugged at her own sweater. Well. Maybe not everything pumpkin shaped.
She shoved the box to the basement steps, then thumped up the stairs to Luz’s room. She surveyed the cots and sleeping bags, and the miscellaneous clothes strewn about.
What if things go badly?
What if they come back still needing a place to stay?
No. She couldn’t think like that. They’d succeed. And maybe they’d come back for a sleepover, but for now… Vee rolled up the sleeping bags and collapsed the cots. Best case scenario planning. She scooped up the clothes, dumping them in a hamper and piling the sleeping bags on top. She grabbed the hamper under one arm, the cots under the other, and went right back down the stairs. First, to the laundry room, to separate the clothes she’d gathered. She’d have to check the basement before she put on a wash, though.
Vee rolled the sleeping bags down the basement steps, then carried the box of Halloween stuff, then another trip for the cots and the hamper. The blankets from the couch went into the hamper. So did the T-shirts that someone—okay, who was she kidding, that Hunter had neatly folded and stacked to the side of the couch.
Vee knelt down to roll up Hunter’s sleeping bag, but stopped just before she started to fold it.
Where was Hunter going to go? Maybe he’d stay with Gus, but he didn’t have a home anymore. Maybe he’d come back. In which case, maybe he should get a cot, instead of sleeping on the floor all of the time. That couldn’t be good for his back.
Vee snapped the cot out to its full size, lifting Hunter’s sleeping bag up. Something tumbled out of it, landing on her foot with a solid thump.
“OW!” Vee jumped up and down on one foot, holding the other. “What the—” she tossed the sleeping bag to the cot and picked up the thing that had fallen on her foot. A book. The same book Hunter had been toting around, Cosmic Frontier.
“Huh.”
Come to think of it, they had said they’d found it down here. And Camila had acted awfully cagey about it. Vee opened the door to the closet within the basement—what a weird concept—and a fake gun, tricked out with lights and whistled, tumbled out. Vee picked it up, turning it over.
Property of Star Captain Camila Noceda read the handle.
“Huh.”
Vee rummaged through the closet, digging through comic books, posters, and a photo album filled with pictures of Camila in full costume and posing with other cosplayers. Some of them were signed by names Camila didn’t recognize, and one, which had its own whole page and was framed with golden foil, was signed with the same name as the author of the book.
“Wow,” Vee mused out loud, “She was really into this. So were Hunter and Gus. Maybe it really is just that good?”
Vee retreated back to the couch, opening the book to the first page. “I supposed I could see what all the fuss is about.”
Star Date… I don’t know anymore. According to O’Bailey, the wormhole we were caught in may have moved us through time as well as space. It could be that we have lost everyone we loved, and that the universe as we know it has changed irreversibly. Our homes might not even exist anymore. Still, I have to believe there’s a way back.
My last weekly report was before the wormhole. I don’t know if these logs will be read by command anymore, or if our whole system is now obsolete, but still, as the captain, I must record what happened. So. One week ago…
Vee mouthed along to the words as she read. She already knew from Hunter that O’Bailey was a clone from an enemy planet—relatable—but she’d underestimated just how many character dynamics and plotlines this book had. Every character introduced had their own backstories and their own difficulties, all of them weaving together to form one complex web of narratives. Even things she thought were a one-off came back later, or were somehow important.
Vee thumped back up the stairs, grabbing sticky notes and a pen. She started writing notes; characters, things that came back, noting foreshadowing, and misleads. The book started to fill up with little yellow tabs.
“Yeah, okay,” she told Hunter’s empty cot, “I’ll give you this one. For a book written in the nineties, it’s surprisingly relevant. Maybe Luz and Amity were right, too, and I should read Azura.”
Vee rummaged around in Luz’s room until she found a blank sketchbook and a set of colored pencils.
We forever love and protect our crew, she wrote, carefully spacing out each letter and imitating the script on the cover of the book, Whoever and whatever we are, we will always be family. Through supernovas, and solar flares, this we always swear.
“Through anything,” Vee whispered. She folded up the paper and tucked it into the front cover of the photo album. She padded softly down the hallway, her footsteps turning to a slither halfway down. She pushed open Camila’s door with a creak, setting the album down on the nightstand. “Whoever and whatever we are.”
Vee tidied up Camila’s books, gathering them into one neat stack. “Stay safe,” she whispered to the air, “Come back home soon. All of you.”

The Heat of Adam (Teth-Adam x FemReader) (Spoilers) (R-RATED) (PART 3)
-Currently you are the sister-in-law to Isis, the woman who found the tomb of Teth-Adam. You are the sister of the deceased husband of Isis and the only living aunt of Among, Isis and your brothers son. You felt for Adam during your time with him knowing all along that he was filled with more good than bad. During your journey with him and your family, you finally knew you cared for him more than you should...-
PART 1 PART 2
Yes there's a PART 4 :) Also sorry for how short it is, I didn't want my poor friends to wait until the week after but I promise you its so worth it!! We've all been through heartache and I think it's about time we had a little more.
Tumblr media
During that whole speech about how you and Adam were adults, clearly the two of you should’ve known better than to practically have sex in the middle of the kitchen where anyone, especially Amon, could have walked right in and have been traumatized. His favorite superhero shoving his tongue down his only aunt's throat...you couldn’t look up at her. It was too embarrassing! And rightfully so. You felt like a teenager all over again when you got scolded in the living room. It was fair, it was right, and it was just. You’d be mad too if a trusted member of your family who was supposed to be taking care of the house was caught swapping spit with a random boy.
But Black Adam wasn’t random, and he definitely wasn’t a boy, you felt that much, he was a powerful man who for some reason captured your heart. And upon his return you found yourself forgiving him a bit too quickly to the point you were gripping and kissing him like a deprived lover.
Maybe you looked too easy for him. That all he needed was a rightful justification, look ill and she was all over him. Was it that easy for him? If Isis didn’t walk in on the two of you, would he have... had his way and left again?
That was your fear that he’d come back to loving arms and then when hes had enough run off and play a hero. Was he like other men?
During the scolding Adam stood there listening to Isis standing right by you as you sunk deeper and deeper into the old couch praying it’d swallow you whole. Your eyes glanced over at Adam and only saw that he didn’t look ashamed, embarrassed or remorseful whatsoever. In fact, you’d dare say he looked quite proud. This bastard was ruthless!
After Isis had her fill of discipline, she welcomed him back with a kind smile. Isis was already in on how you felt about Adam because after you came back from your mini ‘vacation’ overseas you were quiet. Too quiet for her liking so she pestered you until you told her what occurred during your visit there. As usual, she went on the defensive saying he was no longer welcomed back inside her home but after talking to her about how you felt and what you both talked about the early morning he flew you back home, her opinion . She wasn’t angry but she was smiling and comforting you telling you everything was going to be okay and one day he’ll come around. You truly weren’t sure you would though.
At that point you were ready to forget about this Black Adam and live your life as the young woman you were and wait for no man. That was what you were planning to do before he showed up unannounced. Now, after dragging him out of the apartment promising Isis something like the public display in the kitchen would never happen again in her home, you managed to avoid the giggling stares of both your brother-in-law and your nephew on your way out.
Adam had absolutely nothing to say as you lead him through the streets of Khandaq, well more like he flew you over the top of the buildings as you told him where to go. Flying over the rooftops when the sun was already setting gave you the perfect view of the colors that flooded the sky, it looked the same as the day he was imprisoned. You wondered if he remembered how the sky looked when you both spoke one on one for the first time, did he remember how sad you looked when he flew right out of the hole in the broken apartment wall? He probably did feel something, he must’ve, if he was willing to talk to you for goodness knew how long. Were things going to change after this, after they’d discussed what needed to be discussed? While flying over the hills and mountains you decided on a decent spot that overlooked all of Khandaq.
He placed you back down on your feet and you couldn't tear your eyes away from the view before you. The city of Khandaq looked absolutely beautiful at this time of day with the sun setting on the horizon with vibrant hues of gold, purple, and pink decorating the already lit city. With the statue of Adams son gone it gave way to new light. But you knew that the destruction of the statue made Adam feel dejected. Like, let’s be honest here, anyone would feel the same if the last piece of your own son was destroyed. He had nothing but the sour reminder of where the pillar of his son, the true champion of Khandaq, once stood. And even after all that he didn’t look unfazed by the destruction of it. Even now while you side eye him trying to decipher the expression he was wearing; there was no emotion on his sun blessed face but what looked to be content. No smile, no furrowed brows, no wrinkles on his forehead. Just contentment.
It had your mind fill with questions you wanted answered. Why’d he come back? Why did he suddenly attack her with a kiss? Why did he look for Amon but not you? He looked content but why?
As these questions plagued your mind you couldn't find it in yourself to ask any of them. Why? Because there was a moment brewing between you two and you weren't going to ruin it, not now at least. After what felt like an eternity he finally glanced down at you and you fully turned to face him. Even in while trying to have a moment he could see the restraint in your questioning, it was your job to gather intel after all.
" It's good to see you're doing well," He spoke up first. "I apologize for appearing so suddenly. I...I didn't want any misunderstandings between us, there's a reason why I came back here. To you."
You remained silent crossing your arms over your chest, now you knew by the tone and his stance that his return wasn't for a romantic rendezvous. What was happening now was that he was giving you information and you had yo give it to your people because the Justice League nor the Justice Society will do anything. But you can.
"There's been a rise in child trafficking here in Khandaq. After what happened with Inter-Gang, things were going smoothly but when I was gone," He looked down, you saw anger flash across his features.
"Someone, rose up and decided peace wasn't an option for our people. I know what's been happening Adam," Closing your eyes for a brief moment you looked back at the setting sun with a sorrowful expression. He was surprised to hear you knew about the kidnappings but seeing that you weren't out and about doing what had to be done irked him. Reaching out he gently grasped your upper arm.
"Y/N, why didn't you tell me sooner? Has your organization not received any information about this? Do you know who's behind this? Do you know?" It wasn't the fact that he was bombarding you with questions that annoyed you, in fact these were the perfect questions to ask during a time like this one. Standing with the man you've been pinning after, on a cliff overseeing your country during a sunset, a perfect time to ask about everything else indeed. Queue the sarcasm.
This moment was for the both of you to catch up, to discuss what will happen next between the two of you. Hell, you wanted to know why he kissed you so suddenly when he returned. It was one thing after another with this brute! Without missing a beat you uncrossed your arms and brushed his hand away from your arm, in a lesser friendly way.
"We have information that the children being smuggled aren't for anything sexual. Just being used as workers and mules for the same magical metal our previous king perished for. The location to the mines they're using is still unknown but I've been working on it, should be on towards our boarders but I'm not sure where. That's why I was in America a few months back, I knew before your little team in tights knew," You didn't bother to look him. You felt...awful. The kidnappings were serious problem and your organization had some trouble trying to find the man responsible for it. And he was a smart man indeed. Kidnapping children from a country no one cared for, no government will ask questions when paid a heavy sum, no trace to leave behind.
But if this situation occurred in America, the heroes would move and assemble to take the threat down. There are no heroes here in Khandaq, there were only people like you to keep people safe.
Adam didn't take too kindly to your tone or the dismissal of his touch but he didn't question it. Instead he gave you his hard stare that you ignored with a nonchalant one.
"So, this is what you brought me here for? To exchange information so you can run back to your little team in America in hopes they can do something? Because I can assure you that it will not happen. They've ignored us for years before you came and you ignored me for a year before you came just to ask for information, tell me, was that kiss just to butter me up and open me up to actually talk to you?"
You weren't stupid, you played the same card once or twice. Your body for information. And this time he used your feelings, how you felt about him, to open you up.
Again, he remained silent. There was your answer.
With sarcastic smile you raised your hands and brought them back down releasing a humorous laugh. "Perfect! Simply perfect!"
There was one thing about your job being spy that they always told you, use your targets emotions whoever they maybe, get close and use their emotions to get what you want. And now you had a taste of your own medicine.
"I want to go home." You mumbled.
"I'll take you home," He reached for you but you dodged his touch. You didn't want his help.
"I said I wanted to go home, not with you."
"I'll take you home and leave, I won't stay," Again he tried to reach for you but you dodged him again. "You can't get off this rock without my help Y/N."
He was right, you couldn't get off this cliff even if you wanted to. It was too steep, too high, and way to rocky to climb down. But you wanted to so bad to say no and tell him to fuck off but he was your only way down. So, swallowing your pride and anger you slipped your hand into his out stretched one. He pulled you to him and wrapped an arm around your middle securing you against his chest wile the other wrapped around your shoulders forcing you to lay your head on his chest as he took off. You hated that no matter how many times you do this you enjoyed it more each time, the flying was freeing.
The harsh reality hit you when you finally landed on the balcony of the floor you and your family were staying in; whatever you had between the two of you was probably not going to work out. Taking a step back from him you turned to head back inside but his hand grabbed your arm holding back from opening the door. You really wanted to avoid him. This...this feeling didn't settle well in your stomach.
"Back off Black Adam." You didn't yell, you didn't rip your arm away from his grasp, you didn't look at him. But what you did look at was his reflection in the glass door. The man you sought after looked like he was hurt. How ironic. He was hurt because you were giving him the cold shoulder? How did he think you felt?
Apparently Teth Adam wasn't good at reading people and he definitely wasn't good at reading you, the woman he desired to be close to. It wasn't at all his intention to deceive you, like you thought, he wanted to ask and even beg for your forgiveness if that's what it took for him to come back to your good graces but instead his raw emotions took over seeing you shocked, hurt, and angry all for a small minor thing he didn't care to explain after. He could have gone to find you during your America trip after he deliberately ignored you but he didn't.
Now, he was far from your good graces because of yet another mistake he made rushing into one subject because his raw emotion was dangerous. He hurt you and now you both were suffering. His hold on your arm was gentle, barley squeezing. The heart ached, yours and his.
So close together yet miles apart.
"You don't have to say anything. It was just a rush of emotions, you said so yourself, you didn't want me to misunderstand and that's what I did," Sighing you took your arm from his grasp and pressed a hand to the glass door pushing it open.
"I'll let you know what I have on the smugglers or kidnappers, whatever you want to call them. Then you can go back to America and do whatever heroes in tights do." And with that you left purposely leaving the door open behind you in hopes he'd follow you, grab you and spin you around just to tell you that this was just a mistake, this hero stuff, saving the world didn't matter because what mattered was here in Khandaq. What mattered was you and this little family you both had.
But instead of felling his warm rough hands on your bare arms you felt the gust of cool wind on your back bringing your hair forward into your face and sending papers around the living room to scatter.
It hurt to know that he never looked at you the way you looked at him.
You stumbled upon a man who started a fire within yourself that cannot die. However, the saddest, most awful truth you will ever come to find-
Is that he may not be the one you spend your life with.
Now that you had your answer you quickly made a bee line to your room, the door furthest from the front door, the kitchen and the place where your heart broke again. You knew you’d see him again soon and it was just to give you whatever intel you had to stop the smugglers from taking anymore children from your country. And you prayed it was enough to save them and you from seeing Adam here ever again.

A/N; Hi guys! Smut is here but its kinda sad. English isn't my native language so apologies on advance. Enjoy.
TAG LIST IS OPEN!
Summary; Ever since childhood you had to survive, you were born before the disease so you kinda remembered what was it like, to have a hot shower, clean food etc. You didn’t know what happened to your parents because they were on a vacation and left you with your grandma who passed away during the chaos. You were 10 when it happened, a child who had to be a woman over night. What happens when you are a brink from killing yourself and find purpose again?
Chapter Seven- One Night
‘’We settled here about 7 years ago.’’ Maria was giving the history of the town which called Jackson, as they were walking Y/N noticed that people were looking at them with curiosity in their eyes. They had school, laundry, gardens to grow fruit and vegetables, maybe her dream was becoming true, she liked teaching back at Boston QZ until FEDRA stopped her. She had this stupid idea that Maria and other people in Jackson would want them there, well, what’s humanity without hope persevering.
They had a barn for the horses they ride and the sheep they have, ‘’Hey Joel, check it.’’
Maybe the universe was finally granting their wishes. As Ellie was petting the baby horse Shimmer, Y/N was listening to Maria explaining how things run here,  Maria turned to her husband Tommy ‘’Well, I’m sure they would like a shower, some new clothes. We can put them in the empty house cross the street from us.’’
Joel seemed uncomfortable with things being given to him freely, he wasn’t use to that.
‘’Yeah. It’s a decent place. Pretty much untouched since ’03, but it’s got heat goin’ in it. Could do worse.’’ With the news of heat in a house Y/N was over the moon, so many things she used to have were now luxury.
‘’Trust me, we have been.’’ Ellie said looking at Joel and Y/N for support, ‘’We’ve been doin’ fine.’’ Joel immediately responded, it had been months ever since she met him and she was figuring him out, Joel was a father back then, and being a parent stuck to him, he enjoyed protecting his clan and providing, taking care of things and Jackson represented all the things he couldn’t give to them, to his new found family. He felt little in front of his baby brother, ‘’Yes, we’ve been doing fine but thank you again, for the hospitality.’’ Y/N had this instinct to be on Joel’s side all the time even if he was wrong.
Maria took Y/N and Ellie to their new house while Joel and Tommy went to talk. The house looked normal, two stores, as soon as they walked in they were welcomed by the heat, Maria left them alone to settle, she said they should visit her when they were done. Tommy was true, the house was untouched since forever, it looked cozy with comfortable chairs and yellow light, ‘’Let’s find the kid’s bedroom and you can shower there.’’ Y/N said as they climbed the stairs, ‘’And you’ll shower at parents’ bedroom with Joel.’’ Ellie said with a sarcastic tone and a smirk on her thin lips, she wasn’t stupid. ‘’Ha ha very funny.’’ They found the room, Maria’s people placed clothes for Ellie on the bed, ‘’See you in a bit.’’ And Y/N left her to find the parents’ bedroom, it was normal, big bed with two side tables that had lamps, a brown wardrobe, she found new clothes on the bed. A red sweater, jeans, new boots, underwear etc. She hit the shower immediately, the last time she got a hot shower was at Bill and Frank’s house and that was months ago. Her body welcomed the heat willingly, there were several choices of shampoo and body conditioners and thanks the gods above she found razors! Maybe the night they talked about what they would do manifested itself. As she covered herself with a brown towel and leaving the shower she heard some footsteps but thought it was Ellie. Her hair was damp and loose, her body smelled like the rose scented body wash and she walked into the bedroom finding Joel sitting at the edge of the bed, looking defeated. It was obvious that something was bothering him as soon as they stepped foot on the Jackson. ‘’Hi!’’ she said with a nervous tone, ‘’I’m-‘’ he looked to meet her eyes, ‘’I’m sorry, I was waiting for you to finish-‘’ he was mumbling, she could see the blush creeping on his beautiful face, ‘’Its okay.’’ She was holding the towel she was in with one hand, ‘’Look, they left clothes for us. No offence but please throw the old ones away.’’ She smiled gently and Joel stood up, almost crashing his lips onto hers, the thought of it made his heart beat faster, ‘’I should take a shower.’’ He said and walked past her, smelling the rose scent on her, his mind went to the roses he had in his garden back at Austin Texas, Sarah loved growing flowers.
When Y/N heard the water she got dressed and left the bedroom, found Ellie to visit Maria and Tommy’s place. Their house was right across and the white door was unlocked so they walked in. The fire place was lit, there were books and candles on the coffee table, blankets on the couch, Y/N imagined the happy couple curling up with their books by the fire place, she wondered if she could experience that kind of love.  There was a memorial on top of the fire place for two people called Kevin and Sarah, they thought those were Maria’s children, how they were wrong.
Maria came through the kitchen door which led to their back yard. She brought two coats for Ellie and Y/N, she wasn’t sure if Maria was doing this because she was a kind woman or because of Tommy, either way Y/N was over the moon. As Maria was cutting Ellie’s hair they were talking. They learned that Sarah was Joel’s daughter, it broke Y/N’s heart because she looked at when the day Sarah died, it was on the outbreak, she probably got bit or someone killed her, death of his daughter explained why he was like this. So many questions on her mind were answered.
Maria didn’t forget to warn them about Joel but Y/N and Ellie already heard his reputation back at the QZ, they went to the movies together. At first Y/N thought that Maria was joking, there wasn’t a movie theater but they made place for people to watch movies, they had a white screen and a projector, Y/N was with the adults at the back watching while Ellie was with the kids, sitting. Ellie kept looking at her back to see Y/N, every time she smiled and waved at her, clearly she had trust issues and Y/N was there to make sure that Ellie was heard and seen. Later Ellie said she wanted to explore, at first Y/N wasn’t sure but Maria reassured her, ‘’I’ll be at home, if anything goes bad just ran home and find me okay?’’ Y/N whispered in her ear so that Maria wouldn’t hear. Ellie nodded and left, later Y/N excused herself and walked to her new home. After living in that disastrous apartment this was a palace, whenever she remembered the QZ she had to relive her last day there, she almost killed herself and ready to leave this world, if it wasn’t for Joel she wouldn’t be here, of course coming here wasn’t an easy trip but Y/N, after years of solitude she felt like she had a purpose, keeping Ellie safe and taking care of two people who became so close to her that lately she couldn2t imagine a world without them.
It was a tiring day so climbed the stairs to bedroom to sleep, she didn’t forget to leave few lights on for Joel and Ellie, she found a long t-shirt in that wardrobe and wore it as a pj and carried her tired body to bed, as soon as her head hit the soft pillow she fell asleep.
What woke her up was the loud noises coming from Ellie’s bedroom, she woke up with a rush of adrenalin and run out of the bedroom, Ellie’s room was close to the stairs and hers was down the hall, just few steps. She didn’t have to walk in because she heard only Joel and Ellie, no one else so they weren’t under attack.
‘’You’ll be way better off with Tommy.’’ Joel was explaining his decision and Y/N was silent, listening to them.
‘’Do you give a shit about me and Y/N or not?!’’ Ellie didn’t forget to include her too, ‘’Of course I do.’’ They were yelling at this point, she wanted to barge in and stop it but it wasn’t her place, they had to figure this out on their own. ‘’Then what are you so afraid of? I’m not her you know?!’’
Y/N’s hand went to cover her mouth, Ellie shouldn’t have brought Sarah into this, ‘’I’m sorry about your daughter Joel, but I’ve lost people too.’’
‘’You have no idea what loss is.’’ Joel’s unusual tone sent icy shivers to her spine, Ellie was on thin ice, ‘’Everybody I have cared for has either died or left me. Everybody, fucking except for you and Y/N!’’
Y/N was waiting impatiently for Joel to break his silence, she knew he was a stubborn man who would never back off from his decision, ‘’Now, come dawn we’re goin’ our separate ways.’’
Y/N was standing there, shocked to hear his words as Joel left Ellie’s room and slammed the door shut, she flinched, Joel saw her standing there, hair loose and in a long t-shirt, he quickly regret what just happened, he didn’t want her to see him like this but he couldn’t undo it, the damage was done. He walked to their shared bedroom, what surprised her was that he didn’t close the door, was this an invitation? Y/N hesitated at first but she had to talk to him, he couldn’t just treat Ellie like this. She walked to the bedroom, closed the door behind her, ‘’Care to explain your decision with me too or am I suppose to find out myself?’’ this was the first time she was confronting him, he was standing, back facing her, ‘’You heard.’’ His answer angered her even more, ‘’So you’re gonna ditch us. Perfect.’’ She kept her voice low so that Ellie wouldn’t hear her. Joel turned to face her, a deep frown, a sudden light in his eyes, a light that Y/N couldn’t put a finger on, ‘’I have to leave you. This is for your own good.’’ He was speaking as if he rehearsed his speech, ‘’And why is that Miller?!’’ he couldn’t believe the fire she had, usually she was so calm and gentle, seeing her like this.. he liked it. He took a step closer to her, ‘’Why can’t you understand woman?! I’m not capable of protecting you any longer, I can’t.’’ he paused to say something, thought better and stopped, he wanted to scream at her ‘’I cannot afford to lose you!’’ but he couldn’t do it, unbidden tears came to her all at once, there were mere inches between them so with all the force she had she pushed him with both hands, well, it didn’t make him move but the point was made, she turned to leave but Joel found himself grabbing her arm to stop her. She frowned, questioning him, ‘’Don’t’’ he whispered gently, ‘’Don’t go.’’ He pulled her towards his torso, ‘’Give us a one good night.’’ He was begging. Ever since he saw her for the first time at the QZ he couldn’t stop thinking about her. She kept consuming his thoughts and spending months together, sleeping close to each other, watching her take care of them didn’t help at all. He had to have her all for himself tonight, he only wished for his feelings to be mutual. Her head pressed his torso, she could feel how frantic his breathing was, his big hands went to her back, hugging her. She lifted her gaze to meet his dark ones, there was a silent agreement, tonight was theirs and tomorrow he was leaving her, with a broken heart she lifted herself to match his height to kiss him.
The kiss was a relief, all those lost opportunities during the time they spent together came crushing down, Joel eagerly kissed her back, his hands went to her ass cheeks and he cupped them with a sudden force which made Y/N to open her mouth and moan in pleasure, it drove him crazy. He just wanted to slam her against the wall and take her but he wanted to savor her, he wanted to remember this for the rest of his life. Her hands went to his face, gently caressing, his beard tickling her palms, their bodies seemed glued to each other, she pulled back to breath, it was too much. She thought she would see regret in his dark eyes but all she found was desire, she was glad. ‘’Do you want this?’’ Joel asked, his forehead against hers, ‘’Yes, please-‘’ the way she begged triggered something in him and his hands went to lift her oversized t-shirt, she was naked underneath, he liked what he saw. Y/N could feel a sudden shyness creeping to her face but she kept calm, let him look at her up and down, he was a man starved, her hands went to her green plaid shirt, their movements got quicker the seconds past by.
She traced her fingers to the old scars on his broad chest, she wanted to ask him the story of his scars but the desire consumed them together, he stopped her hands when she reached to his jeans, she looked puzzled but Joel guided her to the bed, gently laid her to watch him get undress for her.
It was a sight sore eyes, he was completely naked and she could see how thick he was, should she be nervous?
‘’Spread your legs for me.’’ He said with a low baritone, he spit into his palm and his hand went to his cock, stroking as she spread her legs for him, she was getting wetter and wetter, ‘’Touch yourself.’’ In one of his fantasies Y/N was touching herself like this, Y/N’s one hand went to her slick folds and other to her tit, squeezing, she arched her back with the sensation, Joel was hard as a rock and couldn’t take it any longer. He knelt on the bed between her legs, heavy breaths filled the room, anticipation killed Y/N, she had dreams of this moment for months, Joel rubbed the tip of cock to her wet core, she shuddered in agony, she wanted him inside and quick, ‘’We have to be quiet, can you do that for me darlin’? Can you be a good girl and take it?’’ this new side of Joel surprised her in a good way, she nodded but it wasn’t enough for him. ‘’Use your words sugar.’’ He was still rubbing the tip of his cock and driving her mad with the sensation, ‘’Yes, I’ll do what you say please just fuck me please.’’ Joel was also surprised to see this side of her, chasing after what she demanded, ‘’Good girl.’’ He praised her, ‘’I have to open you up first.’’ He announced and opened her up with his two thick fingers, she had to shut her mouth with her palm to stop herself from moaning loud but the muffled voices made his cock jump in excitement. He fingered her slowly, it had been a while for them since their last sexual encounters, probably years, so Joel was taking it slow, they had the night for themselves.
The wet sounds of her soaked cunt made pumped blood to his cock, his fingers were merciless, giving her pleasure but not there yet. He curled his two fingers and her legs started to shake, she leaned her weight on her elbows so that she could kiss him passionately, ‘’Joel,’’ she said out of breath, ‘’please, I can’t take it any longer..’’
She was ready, more than ready in fact, Joel removed his thick fingers and tasted his fingers, her juice was divine, he wanted to taste her but there was no time. He had to be up and leaving in 5 hours, he shook that thought away. Joel kissed her back and with one of his hand he choked her gently, guided her to lay on her back again, he gently pushed in, tip first, her mouth opened in the shape of O, obviously trying to control herself. He pushed his length fully and this time she couldn’t hold her scream. Joel immediately kissed her swollen lips, Y/N kissed him back her hands scratching his back. Once he was fully in her he let her adjust to his thickness and length, Y/N didn’t want to admit to him but he was the biggest of all the suitors she had. He pulled back and slammed into her again, now she was more comfortable, ‘’You want me to-‘’ Joel again wanted her consent to keep going, ‘’Just fuck me please.’’ Her reply gave him confidence. Her legs hugged his hips, with every thrust her nails digging into his back, he didn’t forget to give her multiple hickies so that she would remember him for a while, maybe it was selfish but he didn’t care. Skin slapping to each other and their moans added to their pleasure, Joel almost came when he hit a spot in her, it was spongy and both of them could feel the effect on each other, she knew that the next few days her body would be sour. His head was at the crook of her neck, sucking the skin, her hand was pulling his gorgeous hair. ‘’Fuck-‘’ Joel cursed, ‘’I’m gonna come.’’ He said, ‘’Your pussy is so tight, milkin’ me so good.’’ He just wanted to came in her, in his sick fantasies he was having kids with Y/N and living together for the rest of his life, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad… he pulled out before he came and jerked himself off on her stomach. Their bodies covered in sweat, chests raising and falling. Joel knew she didn’t came so he did something he desperately wanted to do. He went down on her. Since she was already close it was short but he get to eat that pussy like a man starved. Her soft lips and sticky juice drove him mad, his tongue hitting all the right spots, at first she was going to stop him from doing it but once he licked her pussy her eyes rolled back at her skull and she could swear that she saw galaxies when she came undone.
They laid next to each other, panting heavily. ‘’Y/N-‘’ Joel wanted to talk to her but she stopped him, ‘’Don’t.’’ she turned to him, ‘’Let’s just sleep. We have only one night.’’

DAILY SCRIPTURE READINGS (DSR) 📚 Group, Sun July 21st, 2024 ... The Sixteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year B
Reading 1
----------
Jer 23:1-6
Woe to the shepherds
who mislead and scatter the flock of my pasture,
says the LORD.
Therefore, thus says the LORD, the God of Israel,
against the shepherds who shepherd my people:
You have scattered my sheep and driven them away.
You have not cared for them,
but I will take care to punish your evil deeds.
I myself will gather the remnant of my flock
from all the lands to which I have driven them
and bring them back to their meadow;
there they shall increase and multiply.
I will appoint shepherds for them who will shepherd them
so that they need no longer fear and tremble;
and none shall be missing, says the LORD.
Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD,
when I will raise up a righteous shoot to David;
as king he shall reign and govern wisely,
he shall do what is just and right in the land.
In his days Judah shall be saved,
Israel shall dwell in security.
This is the name they give him:
"The LORD our justice."
Responsorial Psalm
---------------
Ps 23:1-3, 3-4, 5, 6
R. (1) The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
In verdant pastures he gives me repose;
beside restful waters he leads me;
he refreshes my soul.
R. The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.
He guides me in right paths
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk in the dark valley
I fear no evil; for you are at my side
with your rod and your staff
that give me courage.
R. The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.
You spread the table before me
in the sight of my foes;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
R. The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.
Only goodness and kindness follow me
all the days of my life;
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
for years to come.
R. The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.

Eph 2:13-18
Brothers and sisters:
In Christ Jesus you who once were far off
have become near by the blood of Christ.
For he is our peace, he who made both one
and broke down the dividing wall of enmity, through his flesh,
abolishing the law with its commandments and legal claims,
that he might create in himself one new person in place of the two,
thus establishing peace,
and might reconcile both with God,
in one body, through the cross,
putting that enmity to death by it.
He came and preached peace to you who were far off
and peace to those who were near,
for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.
Alleluia

My sheep hear my voice, says the Lord;

Mk 6:30-34
The apostles gathered together with Jesus
and reported all they had done and taught.
He said to them,
“Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.”
People were coming and going in great numbers,
and they had no opportunity even to eat.
So they went off in the boat by themselves to a deserted place.
People saw them leaving and many came to know about it.
They hastened there on foot from all the towns
and arrived at the place before them.
When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd,
his heart was moved with pity for them,
for they were like sheep without a shepherd;
and he began to teach them many things.

FOCUS AND LITURGY OF THE WORD
Perhaps you’ve had this experience: You’re feeling exhausted and burnt out. So, you’re looking forward to some rest during your annual vacation. But when you arrive to your favorite vacation spot, one of the kids falls ill. And now you must play nurse for the week. Or your boss calls with an emergency at work. And now you must take time to work remotely. Or the car breaks down and you need to take it in for repairs. You must postpone your much needed rest out of necessity.
Something similar happens to Jesus and his disciples in our Gospel reading. The disciples return from their missionary journeys, reporting to Jesus all they had done. Jesus perceives their need for some rest and so they set off in a boat to a deserted place. Unfortunately, the people figured out where they were going and arrived there first. Instead of dismissing the crowd, Jesus’ heart is moved with pity “for they were like sheep without a shepherd.”
This shepherd imagery echoes our first reading in which Jeremiah reminds us how the kings in the royal line of David failed as shepherds for the flock of Israel. And so, because Israel belongs to God, the divine shepherd steps forward to care for the flock. God does not rest. Instead, God continually cares for us. Likewise, Jesus does not cancel his “vacation” and continues to teach the crowd who are hungry for spiritual food.
We are not God or Jesus. We do need rest. But we also need to allow our hearts to be moved with pity. In Jesus’ time, shepherds worked 24/7 with little time for rest, always on the lookout for a lost or sick sheep or for a threatening predator. Balancing our own needs against the needs of our neighbors requires careful discernment. It also requires trust in Christ who, as our second reading reminds us, is the source of our peace. Jesus provides us the life and energy to serve others. Jesus gives us the strength to cancel our “vacation” when the need arises. And it is in Jesus where we can find true rest.

"AYAKA – SIDE STORIES 11": JINGI, A DREAM AFTER A DREAM
TRANSLATION: NARU-KUN
* List of Chapters
Deceased.
(I'm definitely dead.), Sagawa Jingi thought.
He could feel the boundaries of his body becoming blurred.
He could feel his heart getting thinner.
He was sad and lonely.
But more than that, he for some reason felt a refreshing sense of fullness.
A long time ago, Makoto Yanagi took Yukito to Ichinoshima to attend to some business, and while he was away, he and two of his brothers went out to sea. That was when Kurama Haruaki and Ibuki Aka were even closer than biological brothers.
He put on a swimsuit and a small jacket, carried his backpack and headed to the beach where he could swim. He asked Momoko to prepare rice balls for lunch, filled his water bottle with plenty of barley tea, put on a straw hat, and planned to play for more than half a day.
In fact, that day was great.
The summer sun was intense, but once they were in the shade of a tree, he blew a cool breeze. When he looked out to sea, he could see small fish swimming and seaweed swaying. On the way, he took a sip of cold barley tea from the ice-filled water bottle and soaked it all over his body.
Having thoroughly enjoyed their summer vacation, the two brothers began to jump into the sea as if to take their last dips, just when it was time to retire. They dived one after another from small rocky areas that could not even be called cliffs to the surface of the sea.
Its height is about three meters. Aka had a bold form and Haruaki had graceful movements, landing headfirst into the water beautifully.
"Jingi, you too!"
As he swam, Aka covered his mouth with his hands and called out to him. His tone was as if he was scolding his younger brother.
"Jingi. There's no need to force yourself!"
On the other hand, a smiling Haruaki simply waved at Jingi from the sea. Jingi was lost. To be honest, he was scared.
But...
When he received the expectant and worried gazes of his two brothers, his heart naturally calmed down. Swallowing heavily, he ran, kicked the rocky area and raised his arms high as he jumped into the clear sky.
It was very similar to how he felt that day.
It may be a strange way to put it, but he felt as if his two brothers had "shown him how to do it."
His two brothers also swam to Jingi and praised him when he sank under the water and then surfaced again.
That's all.
He did what he had to do.
He always ended up doing what he was supposed to do.
Just when his consciousness was about to disappear, he remembered that glorious moment that summer and Sagawa Jingi's existence disappeared.
It was supposed to be like this.
But that didn't happen. Strangely and mysteriously, his inner world, once completely obscured, suddenly took a new form and regenerated while retaining clear cognitive abilities.
(Huh? What happened?)
Long before he was happy to have regained consciousness, he was simply wondering.
(I'm dead?)
After his vague senses began to function properly, he slowly looked around him. (So this place is definitely in my neighborhood!)
There is no doubt that this is Ninoshima, where Jingi lives. A peaceful rural landscape with rice fields stretching as far as the eye can see. From there, it takes about ten minutes to reach the house where Momoko, Jingi, and now Yukito lived.
In the midst of the confusion, Jingi suddenly heard voices approaching from ahead and directed his attention towards them.
Upon seeing them, he saw that two older ladies from the neighborhood, whom he knew well, were approaching while they were talking.
"Oh! Tanaka Oba-chan! Nomura Oba-chan!"
He greeted and called faces he had known since he was a child. However, neither of them responded to Jingi at all, instead they walked directly towards Jingi while smiling and chatting with each other.
And...
They passed through him easily.
Jingi was surprised.
Without a doubt, the two ladies passed through Jingi's body and continued away from Jingi along the path behind him.
Jingi suddenly noticed a possibility and looked at his hands.
"Wah!"
He was still semi-transparent. He quickly checked every part of his body. Before he knew it, he was wearing a pure white suit that he didn't remember ever wearing. It is the so-called death costume worn by classic ghosts. As a courtesy, he even had a triangular piece of cloth over his head.
Nowadays, that is rarely seen, not even in comedy parodies.
Jingi sat on the spot, exhausted.
"Oh, I'm dead after all."
And then he became a ghost.
Jingi was stunned for a while, but the change was relatively quick. He spontaneously said:
"Well, it can't be helped since I'm dead."
Thinking like this, he slowly got up from the ground. He dusted off the dirt that had stuck to his clothes like a habit since he was alive (although it wasn't actually stuck to him since he was a ghost) and headed towards his house with light steps.
He was now curious to see how the people of this island spent their time after his death. It's obvious, but it's a sight he could never see if he were living a normal life.
There was a plan in Jingi's head.
After all, he did a great job hiding the mission he had set out to do and, in the end, he single-handedly put an end to the disaster.
Isn't it safe to call him the hero who protected this island?
He was sure that everyone would praise him and mourn his death. Maybe they'll even make a bronze statue.
"Or "Jingi-san Memorial Day", a holiday for islanders?"
As Jingi slowly walked forward, feeling a little encouraged, he noticed a familiar figure walking ahead of him.
A person dressed in the traditional priest's costume. That's Kurama Haruaki, Jingi's older brother.
Jingi became happy and shouted loudly.
"Hey! Haru-nii!"
However, Haruaki did not respond to the call at all and moved forward at a fast pace.
"I see, you couldn't hear me."
Jingi desperately tried to chase him, but he couldn't control his body. Maybe it's because he is a novice ghost, although he has some speed, if he takes a step forward, he feels like he is just floating in the air.
His steps were like those of an astronaut landing on the moon. He had no choice but to take a big leap.
"Hehe, I got it."
He landed on Haruaki to carry him on his shoulders. Haruaki stopped for a moment and put his hand on the back of his head suspiciously, but he didn't seem to notice that a ghost had attached itself to him.
He turned his head and started walking forward again.
"Go, go."
Jingi let himself go and patted Haruaki on the head. It didn't seem like he was aware of Jingi's existence, but Haruaki kept tilting his head in confusion.
As Jingi expected, Haruaki went directly to the house where Jingi, Momoko, and Yukito lived.
There is a sign in front of the entrance.
"Meeting to remember Sagawa Jingi."
That's what it says. Jingi read the words and nodded once. On the other hand, Jingi was still impressed.
After all, everyone remembers him. Maybe Haruaki also came for that purpose. He got off Haruaki, who he had been using as a horse, and stared at the sign.
On the other hand, Haruaki, who used to live in that house, opened the sliding entrance door in a rather casual manner.
"Momoko-san? I've come to visit you. Momoko-san?"
He called the house.
Then from the kitchen...
"Ah, Haruaki-kun! I'm sorry. I can't get out of here right now. Could you come up?"
A response came along with the sound of something stir-frying. It seems that it was in full cooking.
The essence is...
(You haven't changed, Momoko-san.)
That's what he was thinking. Haruaki put a smile on his lips.
"Ok, excuse me."
He took off his setta, placed them carefully in the entryway and walked down the hallway to the living room. Jingi followed him.
When he entered the room, the first thing that caught his attention were the buckets of sushi and the large plates of food on the long table, as well as the rows and rows of beer cans, shochu highs, and plastic soda bottles.
The scene was reminiscent of a memorial service held in a country house.
However, Jingi was not impressed and frowned. Since it was a memorial service for someone who protected the island, he thought there would be more people from the entire island, but there were only three people inside: Yashiki, Saruwatari, Mitarai, and other loyal friends.
This isn't much different than drinking at an izakaya, when it comes to those men.
They were sitting cross-legged in a completely relaxed atmosphere, eating chips and jerky and drinking beer, but when they saw Haruaki, Jingi's older brother and a local celebrity, they straightened up a little.
"Ah, Kurama-sensei, hello. We're starting now."
Mitarai, who is the eldest, bowed his head slightly.
Haruaki immediately smiled and stopped him with his hand.
"Please take it easy."
Haruaki also took a position near them, took a can of beer and opened the tab.
"Jingi liked this kind of thing, right?"
He made a toast. Yashiki and Saruwatari's faces broke, and Mitarai also had a smile on his lips. Everyone made a toast with the beers they were drinking together.
"A toast to Jingi."
"Hurrah."
"Wow."
(Eh?)
Jingi thought those guys were strangely bright, but since he didn't really like humid weather, he decided to keep an eye on them for now.
Before he knew it, the memorial gathering had begun, which was too small for the hero who saved the island.
"By the way, what happened to the others?"
Kurama asked those who were remembering Jingi. Yashiki, a dear friend of Jingi, was drinking beer.
"It seems that a new enka singer is coming to sell at a nearby supermarket, so all the grandparents are heading there massively."
"Enka singer?"
"Apparently, this is a third-generation Japanese-Brazilian singer named Solemio Togashi, who wears a Mongolian sumo suit and whose special skill is singing while juggling."
(Eh? What? I lost to a singer like that?)
Jingi was surprised.
Saruwatari put his hands behind his head.
"Well, for a moment I wondered if I should go there or not."
"Do not miss!"
Although he couldn't hear it, he was pushing him.
"He's been my friend since you were a child!", Yashiki added.
"And the other neighbors generally said, "If I can go, I'll go"."
It seems like the memorial service for the person who risked his life is being treated like a party for college students.
Jingi's eyes widened in shock.
Haruaki nodded.
"Everyone is busy with various things. Apparently, the mayor, Inou-san, also has plans to get bugs out of the futon and get a haircut."
"He can do that another time!"
Unable to contain himself, Jingi screamed again. Then they began to happily remember Jingi.
However, when he heard them, they did not speak well.
"He drank a lot and was bad."
"He was gathering food."
"He was trying to commit a loan scam against elementary school students."
"He lost so much playing pachinko that he rolled on the floor screaming."
(Hey, you guys...)
Jingi trembled with anger.
(They are saying things that are not true!)
Actually, most of it is true, but he would like them to limit their memories to only the good ones. So, as if they felt that feeling...
"Well, I feel a little sorry for him. Next time, let's say something nice about him, okay?"
Jingi nodded vigorously.
Then, the atmosphere that had been so lively a moment ago fell silent. A heavy silence. In fact, the current environment is more appropriate for a memorial gathering. Everyone looked at each other and was silent.
Haruaki, who had been thinking with his arms crossed, finally spoke.
"No, that's right, Jingi... he always cut his nails properly, right?"
"Ah..."
Everyone started screaming as if they had been saved.
"Yes!"
"I'm sure that guy's nails were pretty good!"
Everyone congratulated him as if they had fulfilled his responsibilities. Jingi screamed irresistibly.
"I guess that's all I can do if I try to figure things out!"
However, the tsukkomi did not reach him. Instead, he heard a voice coming from the hallway.
"Oh, everyone is in high spirits."
A calm and meek voice came from the hallway. Jingi looked at the Goddess of Salvation with a desperate expression.
(Momoko-san!)
Unlike those heartless people, he was sure that she would be saddened by his loss and praise his bravery.
Even now, she made preparations for the memorial meeting (laughs) and even cooked the food. Momoko was the only kind woman who hadn't changed.
But...
"......"
Jingi's mouth dropped open.
Momoko had changed a lot. Although she was inside the house, she was wearing a thick fur coat, a dazzling diamond ring on her finger, and a pearl necklace around her neck. The decorations alone would cost millions.
However, her facial expression was still the same kind smile as before, so it was a strange mismatch. The men in the room were not only depressed by the impressive outfit, but also fell silent.
Before long, Yashiki and Saruwatari were secretly whispering to each other.
"Look, Momoko-san, it seems that she has taken out a considerable amount of life insurance for Jingi."
"I see, that's why she made a lot of money."
"Keep it real!"
Jingi paled.
"This is the first time I've heard it!"
Momoko heard whispers from Yashiki and Saruwatari.
"Hey, listen. I haven't changed at all. Look."
She grabbed a plate of freshly prepared food from the tray and placed it on the table.
"Slow-cooked caviar and foie gras and fried truffle."
"She's changed after all!"
She was not the kind of person who would prepare incomprehensible dishes with such extravagant ingredients. Money is scary.
Saruwatari and Yashiki were talking secretly again.
"By the way, according to information from a construction company I know, it seems that this house will be renovated in a big way and will be eye-catching in the near future."
"I see. That's why Jingi's belongings were sold at Memekari the other day. There were a lot of things that got in the way."
"Momoko-san, the change is too fast!"
Momoko probably didn't hear Jingi's voice, but she laughed and said:
"That kid did a really good job in his final moments."
She was whispering that.
"Momoko-san!"
Jingi is now terrified by the darkness of her. So, Haruaki said to take it easy.
"By the way, what happened to Jingi's grave?"
"Eh? A grave?"
When Jingi seemed to suspect something, Momoko looked at them with a knowing expression on her face.
"Ah, over here."
With that, she put on her sandals from the terrace and went out into the garden. Others followed her example.
So...
"Here it is."
Momoko had a big smile on her face and pointed to a small, thick clay bun. A shamoji was glued on top and the words "Jingi's grave" were written on the front with a marker.
"My name is spelled incorrectly!"
Jingi was screaming.
"No, nowadays, if your pet turtle dies, it will have a better grave! If you have the insurance money, at least make it a little more elaborate!"
However, Jingi's statements went unheeded, and Haruaki, Yashiki, Saruwatari, and Mitarai closed their eyes with solemn expressions on their faces and clasped their hands towards the shamoji.
"Hey! At least one person should have doubts!"
So there...
"Please take it easy!"
A young, raw and angry voice was heard from behind. When Jingi turned around, he saw Yukito Yanagi standing there with a manajiri in his arms.
Jingi slowly shed tears of joy. That's all. That guy was there. Yukito, who was his favorite disciple and loved him more than anyone.
He's sure it's him.
But...
"Please, Kurama-san. We're supposed to start training today, right? I've been waiting for you for a long time!"
"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry."
Haruaki smiled and apologized.
"So, let's get this over with and get started, shall we?"
"Thanks, teacher."
Yukito was leaning beautifully at an angle of almost 45 degrees.
"He changed teachers!"
Jingi screamed loudly.
"It's too early for many things!"
Finally, Yashiki lost his balance, staggered towards the clay bun, and kicked the Shamoji to the ground.
"Tehe."
Yashiki put his fist to his forehead and stuck out his tongue.
"Hey, don't do that! Fix it properly! Oh, don't step on it! Don't step on it! You idiot! Ah! You're all idiots!"
Jingi shouted.
It was already a tsukkomi from the bottom of his soul.
Immediately, the image of Haruaki, Momoko, Yukito, and their friends chatting loudly in the garden became blurry, his hearing became distant, and his vision narrowed.
And Jingi's senses...
Once again it was painted an overwhelming gray color.
The first thing he felt was strangely similar to the summer day when he went to the beach with his two brothers, jumping from a cliff into the sea.
At that moment, sea water entered his nostrils and he almost panicked. That time he couldn't breathe for the first time either and waved his arms and legs involuntarily. He couldn't tell what was up or down, he was disoriented and felt like he was going to scream.
He opened his eyes,
"Ah? Eh? Huh?"
He looked around frantically. He tried to breathe, but he stopped reflexively. He felt like he was underwater.
But...
(What is this place?)
The area was filled with a color that was neither gold nor ocher. It was not cloudy at all, but visibility was not very good. Although he was still short of breath and felt like he was drowning, Jingi gradually regained his composure.
(This place... maybe...)
His experience and knowledge as a person of connection naturally taught him the answer.
(Am I on the line of life?)
A torrent of life where all lives return and become one stream. The source of all power. A large underground flow of energy that penetrates underground on Ayaka Island.
He was floating inside it.
No, he was slowly but surely disappearing.
What fills his environment as liquid is life force. Looking up, down, left and right, there was no end, just an enormous amount of life surrounding Jingi. As he trembled, he felt a surge of power that made his body tremble.
(In other words, what happened before was a dream, right?)
And the response was natural.
(Guess I'm dead after all.)
Right now he was probably about to be immersed and assimilated into the life cycle. Before long, his consciousness will completely dissolve into the life energy and his ego will eventually disappear. He seems to feel that fleeting moment, which is like a slight illusion.
(But...)
He couldn't help but smile bitterly.
(What a dream.)
It was quite an advance.
(If I had a dream, I would like to have a better dream.)
Probably the more he sleeps, the more his disappearance progresses. However, the more he struggles within that life line, the more his consciousness recedes.
His body felt warm and his mind became flat. Then, feeling the most intense drowsiness he had ever felt, Jingi closed his eyelids again.
The next thing he knew he was back at the Ninoshima camp. The place was exactly the same as when he first woke up. However, the surrounding landscape changed from day to night. A faint moon adorned with clouds hung in the sky, and the cries of frogs and insects could be heard loudly in the surrounding rice fields filled with black water.
And one more thing.
The biggest difference from last time is that Jingi himself is very aware that this is a dream he is having in the middle of the life line. He checked his limbs and took a closer look at what he was wearing.
Instead of the classic ghost costume from last time, he was wearing the green hoodie that he normally likes to wear.
"Well, it's happening again, I guess I'll just have to get up and walk."
He knew it instinctively. The more often he dreams, the more likely it is that he will become absorbed in the cycle of life and eventually completely lose his sense of self.
And, at that moment, he would await pure harmony with the vital energy, that is, a definitive death.
"But how did I wake up?"
It was then that he crossed his arms and was lost in his thoughts. He noticed two figures slowly approaching him from the darkness.
"Onya?"
Jingi strained his eyes. There were no streetlights around, so it was difficult to see who the other person was. However, as soon as the clouds passed over the moon and the area was once again enveloped in soft light, he realized it.
"What? Tanaka Oba-chan and Nomura Oba-chan?"
That was the same dream as last time.
In his previous dream, he met those two old ladies from the neighborhood.
"Hey!"
Jingi waved his hand tentatively. He thought he would ghost herself again, but this time they both responded to his voice. Everyone seemed surprised and turned their heads towards him.
Jingi became happy and tried to wave even more vigorously.
But...
He immediately noticed something strange and stopped moving.
Before he knew it, the sounds of frogs and insects had stopped.
"Eh?"
Jingi backed away a little, still smiling. Something was wrong. First of all, the two ladies were acting strangely.
They stiffened their arms and legs and walked towards him with extremely clumsy movements.
The advancement was strange, as if all the joints were broken.
And...
"Uuuh~"
"Aaah..."
Their eyes were blank and they were constantly making noises that didn't make any sense.
(I don't like it very much, but... I've seen movies and games that feature something like this several times.)
Jingi slowly withdrew. Meanwhile, the ladies extended their fingers towards him and closed the distance.
There was a hint of longing.
They called Jingi, like fresh human meat.
"Hahaha."
Jingi turned his back on them.
"See you later, ladies!"
He ran as fast as he could.
They were zombies.
No doubt.
The two ladies had turned into zombies.
So...
"Gaaah!"
"Aaaaaah!"
Both Tanaka-chan and Nomura-chan have been carrying out the mission together.
And they were quite fast.
(It's the type of zombie that comes running depending on the situation!)
Jingi screamed desperately in his heart as he ran across the furrow with the speed of a sprinter, his fingertips immobilized.
(This is a dream! This is a dream!)
However, his most sincere wish did not come true and he continued to be chased by two old zombies while he said things like "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah."
The place Jingi jumped to was a two-story barn that was right in front of him.
That's the kind of place you would normally keep your farming tools. It smells like hay and a little moldy. Although out of breath, Jingi desperately turned his body, raised his shoulders, and closed the door.
It wasn't long before he heard the sound of zombies crashing outside.
"Ah~"
"Eh~"
Jingi was scared and horrified, so he sank to the spot, leaning his back against the door. He was shaking.
(I am very aware that it is a dream I am having on the line of life.)
The situation seemed too real.
Knowing it was a nightmare was one thing, but knowing it was enough to cover the trembling fear was another matter.
It's that moment...
"Jingi-san?"
A faint voice came from deep within the darkness of the barn. Jingi looked at him surprised.
A boy stepped out into the moonlight shining through the second story window. Jingi shouted the boy's name with an expression of disbelief on his face.
"Yukito? He is Yukito?"
That person was definitely Yukito Yanagi. The moment Jingi saw that delicate face with a sad expression on his face...
(Good! Nice to see you!)
That feeling suddenly grew and he didn't even pay attention to the long, thin object in his hand. He tried to run towards Yukito.
At that moment...
Zudon.
A trembling roar echoed through the area, and Jingi was on his butt. There was a hole in the ground a short distance from his feet and a slight amount of smoke.
"Y-Yukito?"
Jingi finally realized it.
Yukito was holding something that looked like a rifle.
Besides...
"Jingi-san."
"Eh?"
"Now say the tongue twister."
He held the barrel of the gun pointed directly at Jingi's forehead. The explosion that sounded earlier was the result of him firing a single shot.
"Okay! Tongue twister!"
Yukito shouted in a strained voice. Seeing his finger press the trigger, Jingi panicked.
"Na, Namamugi Namagome Nakakago."
"......!"
"No, that's not true! Wait! I just took a bite. Raw wheat raw rice raw eggs!"
He understood it immediately.
Yukito was checking if he had turned into a zombie. He was relieved to be able to respond for the moment.
"Next. Roll, roll and keep rolling, six rolling."
There was another question from Yukito. Jingi grew impatient.
"Eh? Wait a minute. I can't say things like that normally."
"Then, red capybara, blue capybara, yellow capybara, red paprika, blue paprika, yellow paprika. Either apologize to Aya or your parents. I apologized to Aya and the greengrocer. A singer comes and tells me to sing, but I can sing well enough to sing, I will sing, but since I can't sing well enough, I won't sing, but that's okay."
"Ah, can you say Akakapibara? Well, you're very good at tongue twisters!"
"Suspicious."
Yukito looked at Jingi with suspicious eyes and tried to shoot him. Jingi shouted without caring what he was doing.
"I'm Sagawa Jingi! You're Yukito Yanagi! I'm your teacher. I'm the one who picked you up on this island! You remember, right? I was waiting at the school gate, drinking sake. I was the one who threw you into the river! What I said at that moment was "Just fly!"."
Yukito's body stiffened for a moment. In an attempt to dissuade him, Jingi rolled up his sleeves and hiked up the hem of his pants, showing every part of his body.
"Look! Look! There are no bite marks anywhere, right? There are no scars, right? I haven't turned into a zombie at all! I'm a human!"
A drop of water fell down Yukito's cheek.
He lets out a sob.
"Uh, uh. I'm sorry. Jingi-san, I guess you haven't been bitten yet, right? I was really scared. I'm sorry. I was very suspicious."
"No, it's fine."
Jingi said as he broke out in a cold sweat.
"If your suspicions are cleared, could you put down the gun first?"
Yukito regretted it with tears streaming down his face, but he didn't move the muzzle of his gun and kept it pointed at Jingi.
He had the air of a trained soldier.
Yukito looked scared.
"Ah, ah. Sorry, sorry."
He finally abandoned his stance. Jingi took a deep breath.
"So what happened?"
He asked Yukito with a bitter smile. Yukito began to respond with tears streaming down his face.
"Yes. At first, I went to Inou-san's house for some business. But then those guys came in, and Inou-san was bitten, and his group joined Inou-san right in front of me. So, I had no choice."
(I see. That's why he killed Inou.)
Jingi felt sorry for Yukito.
It was understandable that he was nervous, since he had done something to someone he knew.
He tried to put a hand on Yukito's shoulder to comfort him. Yukito continued speaking.
''Then after that, I shot the city hall employees one by one, and Ichijou-san, Yako-kun, Chatarou-kun, the police officers, the supermarket employee, the head priest of the temple, and the thief who he was hiding. I knocked down the people who seemed to be attacking me at random, and also Mitarai-san, Yashiki-san, Saruwatari-san and everyone else.''
Jingi gently removed his outstretched hand.
(This boy, Yukito is the crazy type.)
How many people has he killed?
Jingi thought for a moment. Then, he cleared his throat and placed his hands on Yukito's shoulders again.
Looking into his eyes.
"It's okay, Yukito."
"What?"
"Listen carefully."
He paused for a moment.
"This is a dream!"
At that moment, Jingi felt an incredible shock on his cheeks and was impressed. After a while he realized that he had been hit with the butt of a rifle.
"W-what?"
Jingi sat with her legs diagonally like a girl, put his hand on his cheek, and looked at Yukito with teary eyes. Yukito let out a sigh and said sadly.
"Jingi-san."
He smiled slightly.
"Please, faces reality."
(Damn.)
An alert pulsed at a dangerous level in Jingi's head.
(This guy, what's worse, he can't understand anything at all!)
When Jingi was stunned...
"......!"
Yukito looked surprised and turned towards the door. Attracted, Jingi also directed his attention there.
He immediately understood why Yukito had reacted.
Mishi.
The barn door began to creak. Outside, he heard multiple moans of "Aaaaaaaaaah~". He felt like dozens of zombies were gathering.
"......"
"......"
The moment Jingi and Yukito looked at each other as if to say, "This is bad", a strange explosion sound was heard and the lock that had been closed broke in two. Since it was an ancient item, its strength was probably lower from the beginning.
And the worst...
The zombies ran into the room in an avalanche. Some of the zombies in front fell forward too hard, but those following them calmly stepped over the pitiful zombies and defeated them, rushing towards Jingi and Yukito like a murky current.
"Ah, here! Yukito!"
When he saw Yukito, he was running up the stairs to the second floor, carrying a rifle.
He didn't think twice about Jingi, that he was depressed.
Naturally, Jingi wanted to do the same, but...
"Awah! Awawawawah..."
His hips gave way and he couldn't get up properly.
If he panics, there is nothing he can do to save himself.
"Ah~"
"Uh~"
The smell of rot reached his nose and the zombies came so close that he could almost see their empty eyes.
(We're screwed!)
At that moment, Jingi closed his eyes as he thought.
"The softest and most solid things in the world are conquered and nothingness enters nothingness."
A gust of wind broke out and Jingi's body floated in the air. Surrounded by pure white light.
"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!"
Jingi's body turned and flew into the sky from the door opened by the zombie. For a brief moment, zombies could be seen being dragged, rolled, and crushed against walls, farm tools, etc.
Jingi realized it immediately.
(This is Haru-nii's technique!)
When he looked to the side, Yukito was flying in the sky in almost the same conditions. The local tornado took Jingi and Yukito to a large pine tree growing on a small hill, and the roaring sound there was carefully dispersed, as if it were a lie.
At the same time, Jingi and Yukito suddenly fell on the spot.
He hardly felt any shock, as if an invisible giant had pinched him with his fingertips and gently placed him on the ground.
"Hey, I'm glad I made it on time. Are you guys hurt?"
A person sitting near the base of the pine tree called to them in a low voice. Jingi recognized his face and immediately let out a cry of joy.
"Haru-nii!"
As Jingi expected, it was Kurama Haruaki, the priest of Kaizumi Shrine and Jingi's older brother.
"You really helped me!"
He must have known about Jingi's situation and went to rescue them. The same skill as always. He was a model of a reliable older brother. Just as Jingi came over to express his gratitude.
"Do not come!"
Came a sharp scolding voice that was uncharacteristic of Haruaki. Jingi stood there, surprised. Haruaki laughed weakly.
"No, I'm sorry for yelling, Jingi."
Looking closely, he could see that Haruaki's face was sickly pale. A large amount of sweat dripped down his handsome face, as if he was enduring some kind of pain.
"What's wrong, Haru-nii?"
Jingi was upset.
"Kurama-san..."
Yukito, who was standing next to Jingi, also frowned worriedly.
He had a somewhat sinister feeling. With a smile on his lips, Haruaki calmly gave instructions.
Pointing in the direction with trembling fingers,
"If you go straight down this hill, you'll reach your house. Run away, both of you. Don't worry about me, I'll stop the zombies here."
"What are you talking about?"
Jingi cleared his throat.
"What will happen to Haru-nii? Why...? Won't you come with us?"
There were no words beyond that. Haruaki laughed a little. He took off his clothes and exposed his collarbone to the moonlight.
"They took me by surprise. It means I still lacked training."
There were painful scars there.
It's probably a scar caused by a zombie.
"......!"
Jingi was speechless. Haruaki corrected his messy clothes and continued to press the area with the palm of his hand.
"Hurry up!"
He looked Jingi in the eyes and spoke harshly.
"I don't know how long I'll be conscious! Hurry up and leave before I join them!"
A kind older brother. The oldest and most trusted member of his class. Even if it were only in his dreams to abandon such an important person who had been with him since he was a child, there was no way he could do it so easily.
However, Jingi...
"I understand! Haru-nii! I'm sorry. I'll leave you here for now! See you again!"
There was a reason why he hurriedly pushed Yukito's back and started down the hill.
Yukito.
He saw him open the barrel of his rifle and check to see if it was loaded with bullets.
He was trying to kill him.
"Hey, Yukito."
Jingi asked as he moved to a small trot.
"Where the hell did you get that rifle?"
Yukito, who was running ahead of Jingi, turned and smiled briefly for a moment.
"It was in a weapons cabinet that I found by chance at the police station I was at. Is there a problem?"
The look in his eyes was scary. He was gripping the barrel of the gun tightly, as if he was trying not to have it taken away.
"N-no, not really."
He decided not to broach the subject further.
The two ran for about five minutes and managed to reach the house where they lived. It was locked, but Yukito opened it with the key he took out of his pocket.
Jingi took the initiative to enter, followed by Yukito, who closed the door from the inside. Then, as he took off his shoes and was about to go up to the front door, Jingi was caught in his tracks.
"Wah!"
He lost his balance. Maybe he was just tired. He managed to grab the corner of the shoe box with his suddenly protruding hand and managed to keep from falling.
"Haha. I'm confused."
He lightly scratched his palm and a small amount of blood flowed out. He showed Yukito the small amount of bleeding that couldn't even be called a scratch with a shy smile.
"......"
The expression suddenly disappeared from Yukito's face.
"Eh?"
His blood suddenly ran cold.
"Ah. Are you a zombie?"
"No, no, wait! You were watching! Don't you remember that I almost fell?"
"Zombie. You, enemy."
"Why are you speaking in one sentence?"
"Zombie. Kill..."
Yukito then raised his rifle and suddenly pulled the trigger without warning. There was a roar. Jingi narrowly avoided it by ducking. It was an impressive headshot that targeted the zombie's vital point, his brain.
He heard the sound of the wall breaking behind him.
"Tch."
Yukito clicked his tongue. Jingi left the place running while he stumbled.
"Awawawawah!"
(Yukito is broken!) Jingi thought.
He ran for his life down the hallway. Yukito, who had become a killing machine, slowly began to follow the trail.
"Jingi-san!"
Zudon.
"Let's talk!"
Zudon.
"It's okay. I'm sure we can understand each other!"
Zudon.
"Aren't we master and disciple? It's so sad to have such a suspicious relationship!"
Zudon. Zudon. Zudon.
Rifle shots were interspersed with tearful lines.
(He's much scarier than zombies!) Jingi thought.
It was several times worse than zombies, given his emotional voice. Desperately running through the house, Jingi finally found himself in a corner of the hallway with nowhere to escape to.
"Wawawawah!"
He sank, leaning his back against the wall and scratching his feet desperately, but it was a dead end and he could go no further.
"Booboo..."
Yukito approached, gently replacing the bullets in his rifle like an experienced soldier.
"Jingi-san."
He prepared his rifle.
"Jingi-san, finally, Ayakai, is there a proper way to use it?"
"Who knows, idiot!"
At that moment, Jingi closed his eyes as he thought.
"Guh..."
Yukito suddenly made a strange noise. Jingi widened his eyes suspiciously. And he was left speechless.
Just now, a woman was biting Yukito's neck. A completely unexpected ambush appeared from somewhere.
"W-why?"
Yukito collapsed with a tearful expression on his face. The woman stepped over Yukito and slowly approached him.
Momoko was dripping blood from her mouth.
"Ah~ uuh~"
Zombie Momoko opened her mouth wide and charged towards Jingi. Furthermore, she wore beautiful fur and precious jewelry.
"Why is it the same dream as before?"
Jingi shouted.
There was nowhere else to flee to.
Jingi woke up, still screaming. He looked around his with a start and realized that he was once again in the dense flow of life.
No, he had been floating in the flow of life for a long time, perhaps the correct expression would be to say that he had awakened from a foaming dream.
However, the dream he was having was so real that he felt as if his body had been instantly transported from Ninoshima, which was dominated by zombies.
And although he knew it was a dream, he was so afraid that in the end he screamed.
"Anyway, it was a terrible turn of events."
Jingi was sad. Yukito and Momoko still do not appear in minor roles.
Maybe deep down he has always considered them dangerous people?
"I just want to dream of being pampered, relaxing, eating delicious food and drinking quality alcohol."
If he was going to continue melting into the flow of life, he would at least like to end his life with good thoughts. Jingi held his breath and tried his best to close his eyes.
He wanted to have a pleasant dream this time.
When he came to, he found himself back in the Ninoshima camp. It was probably in the afternoon.
The sun rose above his head, casting a warm light, and he could smell the faint scent of flowers.
Although the times and seasons were slightly different, the two shadows were slowly approaching each other on the road.
(Are those ladies in my dreams by default?)
They were Tanaka Oba-chan and Nomura Oba-chan from the neighborhood. Last time, they turned into a zombie and attacked, so Jingi kept his back alert so he could escape at any time.
So...
"Ah..."
"Oh, Jingi-chan?"
The two looked surprised and ran towards him. For a moment, Jingi struggled to make a decision, but from the expressions on the ladies' faces, he didn't feel there was much danger, so he stayed where he was for the moment.
When they got to Jingi's left and right...
"Were you in a place like this? Everyone was worried, you know?"
"Well, if you're going out, you have to let me know."
They started walking, dragging Jingi with them.
Whenshe returned to his house with the two ladies, he was surprised to find his older brother, Aka Ibuki, standing there.
No, he wasn't the only one.
All the members of "Ayaka Security", including Ichijou Ibara, were there. When they recognized Jingi, everyone seemed surprised or relieved.
"W-what? What's going on?"
Originally, they were mainly active in Ichinoshima. It was rare to see so many members gathered in Ninoshima.
"What's wrong, Aka-nii? Has the entire company gathered here?"
When Jingi asked curiously...
"Uh."
Aka shook his head with a bitter smile. He tapped Jingi on the shoulder with his hand.
"There's nothing I can do about it. You're the cause."
"Eh? Me?"
Jingi gaped and pointed at himself. Ibara said with a rather harsh voice.
"Sagawa Jingi. We came together in a hurry to find you. I want you to feel responsible."
"Don't say that, Ibara."
Aka gave a quick warning to Ibara and looked at his subordinates.
"We're leaving. Apply for a special subsidy later."
"Wait a minute, Aka-nii. Are you leaving already?"
When Jingi called him...
"It looks like I'm going to meet someone I don't want to see. As long as I can confirm that you're safe, it's fine."
Without looking back, Aka walked away from him, hands behind his back. The members of "Ayaka Security" did the same with a slight nod. Ibara was the only one looking at him with an expression that seemed to want to say something, but she quickly turned her back on him and ran after her friends at a trot.
Both ladies...
"Well then, Jingi-chan, see you soon."
"Your body is important."
After saying that, they headed home. Jingi looked at them in shock.
Then, he tried to switch places with Aka and the others.
"Jingi-san!"
He heard Yukito Yanagi's voice from inside the house.
"Ah, Jingi-chan!"
Then he heard Momoko cheering and the two jumped. For a moment, the nightmares of last time and the one before returned to Jingi, and his body stiffened, but there was no sign that they had transformed into the Yukito and Momoko of before.
The two cried with joy at Jingi's return, took him by the hand and invited him into the house.
Jingi was thinking as he let himself go.
(I wonder why? Did I disappear for a long time?)
It was a great welcome. First, they forced him to take a bath, and when he came out of the bathroom, he put on freshly laundered clothes and was taken to the living room. Yukito took the initiative to uncork a bottle of beer and pour it.
"Uh, oh. That's bad."
"What are you talking about? As a disciple, it's natural!"
For Yukito who said that with a smile...
(This is a bit unpleasant.)
He thought about it for a moment, but he didn't feel bad about it. Before long, Momoko brought a variety of freshly prepared homemade dishes from the kitchen.
Braised bonito marinated in sesame oil, seaweed cream cheese, japanese-style salmon and avocado tart, gizzard ponzu sauce, lightly pickled tofu, chicken breast with chili sauce and fresh squid carrots.
It wasn't something like "caviar and simmered foie gras and fried truffles" that he had seen in his previous dream, but rather Momoko's repertoire of dishes that he especially liked.
All of them combine perfectly with sake.
While he happily ate those delicacies and drank beer...
"Hello, Jingi. I'm glad you returned safely."
Haruaki arrived with a bottle of local sake hanging in one hand.
"Hey, Jingi."
"Hello!"
"Hey, don't make me worry so much."
Also appearing is the trio of bad friends, Yashiki, Saruwatari and Mitarai. Besides them, Momoko and Yukito, who had finished cooking, also joined the banquet and everyone toasted again. Everyone praised Jingi.
"Jingi is actually quite manly."
"I'm so glad to be your friend."
"He is my proud little brother."
"The guidance he gave me was precise and I have nothing but respect for him."
Even if it was just a dream, it made Jingi happy.
Because that's exactly what Jingi wanted.
Good sake and delicious food.
Sometimes...
"Being able to drink alcohol so carelessly and non-stop is, in a sense, a talent."
"Not thinking about anything is the best way to manage stress. Jingi is ahead of the times."
There were some comments that he didn't know if they were praise or criticism, but he didn't care. Besides...
"Jingi-san, you are so cool!"
"Okay! Good drink!"
The way they praised people was becoming more and more careless, but for the moment he would close his eyes.
Just when he thought that...
Although it was a dream, he still didn't understand why everyone was so worried about him. What's more, if Jingi showed even the slightest sign of leaving his seat, everyone would turn around and ask why. In the end, he was annoyed that Yukito even followed him to the bathroom.
It's like they're watching him...
The rest was Momoko.
For a moment now, she had been shedding tears from time to time, and was constantly wiping them with her handkerchief, which made him feel really uncomfortable.
The person claimed that onion juice got into her eyes while she was cooking...
That is not true. There is definitely something behind that banquet. Even with that in mind, Jingi continued drinking in a good mood until he completely lost consciousness. In a way it was an escape.
It was easier and more fun to put an end to the doubts that had arisen in his mind.
And the behavior of that principle of not doing everything has had serious consequences and has turned against Jingi.
After waking up from his intoxication, Jingi realized that he was tied to a grid-like board. Carefully, not only his wrists and ankles, but also his neck and torso were tied tightly with rough ropes.
With his legs spread, Jingi was stretched out against the board.
"Damn! That's what I thought!"
Jingi screamed, but Yukito quickly gagged him.
"Tch. It seems that the drug was not as effective as I expected, Kurama-san."
Yukito clicked his tongue with an evil look on his face. The situation was different from when he was a zombie, but it seemed that this was also Dark Yukito.
Apparently they had given him something strange to drink.
Before he knew it, he saw not only the people who had been at the banquet earlier, but also Inou and other islanders he recognized. They all wore white robes similar to those worn by mountain priests. As they looked at Jingi, who was lying there...
"Jingi. Please don't hold a grudge against me."
Haruaki said with a serious face.
"Now you can offer yourself to the fire dragon."
"Oh, I'm sorry, Jingi-chan."
Momoko said as she wiped away her tears.
"It's to protect the island. If you sacrifice yourself, everyone will be saved."
"Alright, let's throw him into the crater and go back home."
Yukito said as if he was throwing flammable trash.
(He's the only one with a strange personality!) Jingi thought.
It's true, but his gag prevented his from complaining. Among them, the islanders, led by Haruaki...
"Okay!"
"Let's do it!"
He shouted and lifted Jingi onto the board.
"Noooooo~! Stop it!"
The group then walked around the volcano (probably) in Shinoshima for a while.
"Jingi!"
"Bye!"
Jingi was suddenly launched into the air from what appeared to be a volcanic mouth. An overwhelming feeling of falling. And a sense of urgency approaching behind him.
(Swallowed by fire!)
The moment he thought that...
Jingi's body bounced violently from the depths of the earth and then rose into the air again.
As he rose slightly from the crater, he saw Yukito, Momoko and the others applauding loudly.
"So, there's actually a trampoline inside!"
Jingi let out a tsukkomi cry and woke up in the middle of the life line.
"What is this?"
Thinking about it a little...
"Is there a system where you can't wake up unless you scream out loud from the bottom of your heart?"
Jingi was complaining in the middle of the life line.
He had enough time to cross his arms and frown because he was already used to it.
But it was another nightmare. It seemed like he was being sacrificed to quell the fire dragon, but the people around him were too dangerous. Especially Yukito.
"That's why everyone was so excited, damn it!"
Jingi has been wearing down little by little. Even when he dreams, he feels that his existence is gradually shrinking. At this rate, it won't be long until he is completely immersed in the life line.
"Oh, no. What I want to see is... that's right. It's fine, as always. Yukito is a little cheeky, but honest. And Momoko-san is kind and a little natural. And..."
Just one thing.
If he is allowed to dream in the truest sense.
"I guess I'd like to see Haru-nii and Aka-nii getting along like before."
Jingi closed his eyes, withdrew all the strength he had left in his mind and body, and surrendered to the flow of life. And while he slept, he had a new dream.
By the fourth time, it was much easier to realize that it was a dream and understand the situation. Rural landscape as far as the eye can see. White storm clouds and dazzling sunlight. Although there are slight variations in seasonality and timing, so far they have all appeared in the same location in Ninoshima.
(Maybe it's like the starting point of the game?)
And the two ladies in front of him.
(I guess those people are default characters too.)
The mission is to run.
"Tanaka Oba-chan, Nomura Oba-chan, hello!"
He ran between the two, greeting them.
"Oh, Jingi-chan."
"Hello. You're always in a good mood."
They both smiled and waved. He had a kind of premonition. He was sure that his wish would come true this time.
He was in a good mood with the pleasant (probably) summer scenery. He kept running all the way home, breathing lightly, stopping in front of the entrance and taking a few deep breaths.
After making sure that his breathing was normal, he wiped the sweat from his forehead and entered through the front door.
The first person he met in the hallway was Yukito.
He was a little nervous because in all of his dreams so far, Yukito had a terrible personality.
"Eh? Jingi-san, where have you been?"
He seemed like a normal Yukito, the same as always. He pouted and protested.
"You promised to watch me train in the morning! You drank too much yesterday too. I'm going to tell Kurama-san and Ibuki-san that you're being too casual too!"
A naive and sensitive boy. Even though he was hated and slapped, Jingi could see that he really respected him.
"......"
Without realizing it, Jingi extended his hand towards Yukito's head and was playing with his hair.
"W-what?"
Yukito rolled his eyes and walked away. While he held his head with both hands...
"Hey, are you still drunk?"
He looked at Jingi accusingly. However, Jingi did not respond and looked for his next target.
He went to the kitchen and found Momoko cooking. She set the bowl she had been using to taste in the sink and looked at Jingi.
"Eh? Jingi-chan, are you back? Wait for me. Lunch will be ready soon."
Momoko Amamiya.
She is like an older sister who has always lovingly watched over Jingi. Without her, not only Jingi, but also Haruaki and Aka would have lived completely different lives.
Has he adequately expressed his gratitude to her?
He now deeply regretted it.
"Momoko-san, thank you as always."
Jingi took Momoko's hand and bowed cordially to her.
And...
"I'm sorry."
He couldn't even apologize for passing away first. She must have cried a lot.
Momoko is kinder than anyone. Yukito too. He was sure that, although he complained, he cried profusely.
Suddenly, Jingi understood. The reason why Yukito and Momoko were so scary and abnormal in his dreams was because Jingi feared that from the bottom of his heart. Since they were such important members of the family, everything seemed to turn into a nightmare.
"Jingi-chan?"
Momoko frowned and tilted her head slightly.
"You're drunk?"
She came to almost the same conclusion as Yukito. She glanced at Yukito, who followed Jingi, but Yukito simply shrugged, as if to say, "I don't know what's going on.".
Meanwhile, Jingi staggered towards the living room. He opened the sliding door and waited to see the scene he always wanted.
Haruaki and Aka.
Seeing his brothers get along.
"Hello, Jingi."
"What happened? Did something happen?"
Kurama Haruaki and Ibuki Aka were definitely there.
Two adults live in that house. Things like that haven't stopped since his teacher, Makoto Yanagi, passed away.
"Haru-nii, Aka-nii..."
Jingi's voice became hoarse with emotion and then he said:
"Then why are you both dressed like that?"
He asked, his face suddenly half serious.
"Eh? Are you acting really weird?"
Haruaki, who was only wearing a swimsuit and a T-shirt, looked at himself curiously. He usually wears the solemn costume of a priest, so seeing him in a simple figure with so much skin feels even more strange.
"We're going to the beach, so it's natural, right? You should hurry up and change your clothes."
Aka, who quickly put on his snorkel and underwater goggles, ordered Jingi to do that. Again, instead of the tight suit he always wears, he wears a t-shirt and navy pants.
Then the two began to talk happily about what they would do when they went to the beach.
"Alright, let's swim as hard as we can!"
Haruaki said as he turned his body around and did something similar to gymnastics.
"Let's use the harpoon to hit the fish, okay?"
Aka, who was trying to contain himself, but looked clearly more excited than usual, suggested that. Together, the two remembered their mission.
"Come on, Jingi, let's go!"
"Let's play as hard as we can!"
Sparkling eyes. The innocent smile of his childhood. However, both of them had the same faces and physiques as the adults. Jingi held back, trembling slightly.
"Jingi!"
"Look!"
His two brothers who had become adults pulled him left and right.
"They get along like before!"
Finally, he couldn't hold back any longer and snapped. The awakening trigger activated and Jingi woke up again.
Jingi finally lowered his head in despair. He realized that the energy that made up his consciousness was running out.
"Damn, I have so many incomprehensible dreams..."
He whispered that resentfully. He couldn't help but feel sleepy from before. As it was, he would break into small pieces and be swallowed by the flow of life energy.
The next time he falls asleep, he will never wake up again.
(Damn.)
The last dream was the one that touched his heart the most.
Well, leaving aside Haruaki and Aka.
(That made me realize that I had a lot of unfinished things.)
He had more things to teach Yukito.
He wanted to thank Momoko.
Why couldn't he tell Haruaki and Aka to get along?
He wanted to hang out more with his bad friends. Enjoy a glass of sake while he enjoys the peaceful scenery of Ninoshima. Being able to go fishing or play pachinko.
He wanted to apologize for causing trouble for Inou.
He wanted to see everyone's faces.
He wanted to see them smile.
(Damn.)
Tears fell. He bit his lip and let the tears fall. Suddenly, the words of his teacher Makoto Yanagi came to his mind. He commented on the qualities of his disciples as connections:
"Haruaki is, well, a genius. I guess it's a matter of lineage, but there's something he's born with. He'll be able to fly to the heights as easily as a gust of wind."
He continued.
"Aka is a theoretical person. One by one, he practices what he can't do and shapes it. Since he can see his surroundings clearly, I am sure there will be many people who will admire him in the future. He will surely become a pillar thick and strong that will never break."
Makoto laughed as Jingi asked, "What about me? What about me?"
"Maybe you don't have much talent. Even at this age, you're still lazy and, surprisingly, cowardly and careless."
That's what he said. Makoto pouted at Jingi.
"That's why you look more like me."
He ruffled Jingi's hair and stroked it with his large hand.
"Jingi. Even if the road is ugly, get up. Being in good shape is not the style of people like us."
In the middle of the life line, Jingi silently opened his eyes again.
"I understand... Master."
Even if he is in the mud...
Maybe it's a murky stream of life. Even if it's ugly...
(I'll hold on to life until the end!)
Jingi began scratching his hands and feet frantically. Imagining levitation, he did his best to hold on to his fading existence and began to swim frantically, aiming only for the top. Every time he felt like he was about to break, he thought about Yukito, Haruaki, Aka, Momoko and his master. The only thing he thought about was his family and his friends.
(Once again, just one more time.)
Then, with all his strength, he finally surfaced from the life line and took a deep breath.
However, the current is too fast and buoyancy is almost ineffective.
"Gaaak! Whoops!"
If he does not move his limbs with all his might, the flow of life force will engulf him in no time.
"Shit! Damn!"
At that moment, Jingi felt as if he heard the interesting voice of his master in his ear.
(Here, Jingi. It's time to take a breath. Good luck. I've prepared some help.)
Jingi regained his strength and crawled. Somehow he had a hunch. He was sure that a helping hand would be waiting for him when he swam there.
And what he saw was...
"Master! Is this?! This is it!"
It was a giant pipe protruding from the inside of the life line. It looked familiar. Although it is larger than the standard, it is definitely a masterpiece that master Makoto Yanagi loved. He felt so homesick that he felt like crying.
Jingi held on to the Kiseru and used his remaining strength to skillfully climb up the body.
Note: Kiseru is the Japanese term for the ancient Japanese pipe. Kiseru were used to smoke a wide variety of substances, including tobacco, cannabis and opium.
Then, he came to a place where he could maintain his posture and shouted as loud as he could.
"Yukitooooooooooooo!"
He called to the being in which he had to believe the most.
"Help me!"
Beyond life.
He felt that he could see the face of a child who was destined to become a water dragon through a very faint slit that connected to that world.
Without hesitation, Sagawa Jingi decided to simply live.

Hi!!
May I ask for a vulnerable Amane who's had a s/o go on like a... Vacation or something, and the s/o returns to him, and what that interaction is like.
(Maybe he's a little clingy and territorial, but in a sexy way. And very touchy as usual, maybe even more so since they've been away so long, he craves a little more than usual -- very little personal space -- making his s/o very very flustered and red. Maybe playing with hair and repeatedly saying their name. Just some ideas 🤭 but I'd appreciate if you'd bring something like that to life, thank you 💕)
I love your work btw!!!

Amane moved you farther from Tsukasa and he stood their dumbfounded "Heeyy Amane! You're not the only one who misses [F/N]!!" He said as he eyed his Older brother, He wasn't answering as he just digged his face into your neck
"A-ahh, Sorry about your brother Tsukasa haha... Oh! I brought both of you gifts but It's in my room"
Tsukasa's eyes lit up when he heard 'gifts' He was about to grab your hand to drag you back to your house but Amane carried you bridal style "A-amane?!"
Tsukasa's eyes widened at his brothers actions, as it slowly turned into a Mischievous grin "Well aren't you a bit needy Amane—" Tsukasa snickered, not wanting to hear his brothers teasing, Amane carried you up to his room and shuts his door
Tsukasa cupped his hands together beside his mouth "HEY [F/N] ONCE YOU'RE DONE MAKING OUT WITH AMANE COME GIVE ME MY GIFT THAANNKKSS" He shouted as he ran out to go to your house incase your parents bought home any chocolate
You heard what he said and your face began to turn red "A-amane I was talking to Tsukasa.." You looked back at him who was giving you no to little personal space, Your cheeks burn at how close the two of you are
He sat you on his lap as he rested his chin on your shoulder hugging your waist "Amane?.." He hugged you tighter as he mumbled something that you didn't hear "Did you say something? If you're saying something rude about your brother I'm not gonna be happy—"
"Mine." He said as he pinned you down to the bed startling you a bit "Okay A-amane aha don't you wanna see the gift I got for you?.." Trying to change the topic but he can see right thru you
"Mm.. You coming home is already a HUGE gift for me..~" Slowly leaned in to the side of your ear feeling his lips slightly brushing against your ear to whisper something "A-Amane wait, I'm sensitive there.."
"You hair smells nice my dear.. ~" He said in a husky tone as he started peppering your neck with kisses all the way down to your collarbone "Amane w-wait"
You couldn't focus on the amount of pleasure you are receiving from him as he kept on peppering your neck with kisses "My I didn't know you were this sensitive my love~"
"Amane I think we should— A-ah!" He bit you, Leaving a hickey behind, You could feel him smile against your neck as he continued to give you more lovebites
"A-amane.." Running your fingers thru his hair as he continued to give you more marks "You taste sweet.." Nibbling on your skin leaving another mark, He pulled away and admired his work, You breathing heavily, hair disheveled and your cheeks were blooming with red
"[F/N].." He leaned down once again bitting your lower lip softly "[F/N].. I need you.." Capturing your lips into a kiss
"Amane..—" Trying to pull away but he brought you back in, He bit your lower lip asking for permission to slip in but you denied, He slides his knee in between your legs making you squeak giving him the opportunity to slip his tongue, He loved hearing your mewls as he knows you only make those sounds because of him.
Pulling away, a trail of saliva left behind as the both of you breath heavily "Amane.." He laid down beside you, Hugging your waist "Sorry, Love.. I got carried away.." Kissing your head, You jugged him back and looked up at him with a small smile
"It's okay.." As you kissed his cheek
He peppered your face with kisses making you giggle, He held your cheeks with his hands as he rested his forehead on yours, staring at you lovingly "Mine.. " He whispers.
Holding onto his hands that were gently placed on your face "Yours.." You whisper back, as the two of you cuddled and watched a movie for the rest of the afternoon

LIAM GRANGER HEADCANON'S (2/?)
HC: If you're friends with Liam, there's a chance you've seen, at least, one of these movies. If you're close friends with Liam, you've very likely saw majorly, or all, of these films plus some. These would be his top 9 movies, but they are not his only. There's a longer list, some of which involve sequels of the movies mentioned above. -- He also has a crush on Jane Levy because of Evil Dead and Don't Breathe. His first crush was on Jessica Biel as Erin in TCM. OOC Side note: I make my friends watch my favorite horror movies with me, so I know he do, too.
Evil Dead (2013) - A remake to the 1981 movie, and honestly, a damn good one. The main character is a heroin addict, and her friends, and brother take her out to a cabin to help her get clean. One of the friends end up reading from a book that unleashes an evil in the cabin. The main character tries to warn everyone because weird stuff happens and she knows somethings wrong. No one believes her because they just assume she's withdrawing. And it goes about as well as what anyone would expect from there. ---- A royal mention to Evil Dead Rise that came out last year. He also loved that one, and has watched it multiple times. He enjoys the originals simply for that fact alone, they're originals. But he prefers these two.
Don't Breathe (2016) - A movie where neither side is really in the right, and a lot could've been avoided have the main characters not tried to break into a house that wasn't theirs. Nonetheless, a solid movie about three thieves that go up against a blind man who isn't as impaired al they thought. Just cause he can't see, don't his other senses aren't A1. And it's a fight to the death after that.
The Forsaken (2001) - Most people when asked what their favorite vampire movie is, they'd say 'The Lost Boys' or maybe 'Interview with a Vampire'. Liam's is the Forsaken. A underrated movie in his opinion, that takes a interesting spin on the lore of vampires. A film student who is hired to take a car across the country runs into a hitch hitcher who turns his life upside when they both pick up a blonde who seems like she's on drugs outside a dinner. But she was actually bitten by a vampire, and then proceeds to bite the film student when he tries to calm her down. All three are then on a race against time to kill "The Forsaken" which is the head vampire that holds the virus in their blood.
Halloween (1978) - Do I really need to say anything? It's a classic, and it's beloved by just about everyone. Jamie Lee Curtis as Lorie Strode. Arguably #1 Final Girl. Baby sitter, stalker man in a mask who's just trying to stab people. It's a classic.
Nightmare On Elm Street (1984) - Once again, another classic. A very original idea for a killer. Can't go wrong with this sleep traveling demon thing with knives for fingers and a burnt face.
Scream (1996) - Classic, classic, classic. The movie that refreshed the horror genre at its time. A masked killer who calls you and taunts you before he chases you and kills you. A solid story line that follows all 6 movies, without missing a beat. Killer is always human, and always someone you know. Great characters. Sidney Fucking Prescott. He also appreciates the other 5 movies as well.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) - A remake of the 1974 film of it's same name. While Liam respects the OG, he finds that this one is a pretty solid remake, and enjoys it occasionally. Jessica Biel is everything in this movie as well, so you know. A group of friends are road tripping across Texas, picks up a hitch hiker, said hitch hiker unalives herself. The group of friends try to find the cops, but instead come into the family of cannibals that make their trip literal hell.
The Ruins (2008) - Four friends are on vacation in Mexico when they come across another man, who befriends them. This man is on the look for his brother as he went on a sight seeing adventure and never returned home. The five of them don't expect much, and the four friends agree to go with their new friend to a place called 'The Ruins'. When they get there, they are immediately trapped there by town people, who don't speak English. So it's a huge miscommunication trope, but they eventually find out that The Ruins are these poisonous cannibal like vines that once you touch them, you are infected. They try to figure out how to get the hell out of there, but everything's against them at that point.
Vacancy (2007) - If we were to ask Liam (or me), what was an underrated movie in our opinions, this one would be at the top of the list. First off, Luke Wilson is phenomenal in this, which you wouldn't think of him as a horror movie actor, but he's fantastic. A husband and wife are on their way home after a family visit. They take the back roads, but their car breaks down, and unable to get a mechanic in the middle of the night, they are forced to say at this hideaway motel until morning. Well, turns out said motel is a breeding ground for snuff films, and these two must work out their differences (they're going through a divorce and lost their child), in order to survive the night.

Hi! You seem so nice and super sweet. I have some questions to know you! You remind me of a big sister, oh my god something about you is so comforting. :) Anyways, I live in California but I've only lived here for around 7 months. You mentioned before you love coming here, but can I have some places that would be nice to go on vacation? I feel super cooped up in my apartment and want to have a fun time outdoors or something. Thank you! <3
That's seriously so sweet and made me tear up a little bit! Thank you ❤️
We've spent a lot of time in a few different spots in CA, so hopefully, I mention one location near you! The obvious to all of this is beach and book. We are two beach bums when we can be, but I'll hit a few of the cities we've stayed at!
Oceanside is our go to. We like the location, due to military relations so its kind of the perfect spot for us because ✨️family✨️ If you are near that area, the beach at night is so quiet and perfect if you love seashell hunting. Oceanside also has street food/fair events, several cute metaphysical shops, and a few really good restaurants. One of them is a rooftop/desktop outdoor situation, it overlooks the docking area there, and at sunset is stunning.
In the San Diego area, I love going to Balboa Park. There's several gardens that are cheap or free to go to. During November to December, one of them is filled with gorgeous variations of poinsettias. There's also a ton of museums there, cultural houses to peep at, and gorgeous architecture. There's also a shopping area that's cute for giggles to just walk around. It's called Seaport Village. They used to have a shop just FILLED with coffee mugs. I loved it 😅
Heading north a little bit to LA where my partner is from. He grew up near skid row and has pretty vivid nightmares still about his kidhood there, so we tend to avoid the downtown area. When we do go, he always takes me to The Last Bookstore (some of you may recognize the name, it is the one you're thinking), it is just an experience. They sell antique books, collector's editions, and rare first editions along with new books. They have MAGICAL displays made from books. Griffith Park is also very beautiful with lots of things to go to. I'm a fan of anywhere with a botanic and butterfly garden 😅 and that brings me to our favorite spot in LA (minus the beach and hiking in Griffith Park) The Huntington Library. It's a library, botanic garden, and art museum all in one. It is 100% for me and not for him. He loves me dearly, and I am spoiled. There's obviously a lot of other things to do in LA (Disney, Orlando studios, ect), but we've been waiting to explore and experience those things until we had Littles to enjoy them with.
Popping between LA and San Fran is Sequoia National Park. If you are going to go and have never been, plan for a few days. It's... almost like breathtaking how small you realize you really are there.
San Francisco is kind of just... I wish I could describe it as something other than home feeling, considering I'm a midwest farm girl, but it has this magical home calling. We have a main thing we really like to do, and it's a little pricy (but not as pricy as the next location ive been treated to). He loves to see Alcatraz. 😅 he's obsessed. Otherwise it is a LOT of hiking and just trying new food places there. I just really love the vibes there for some reason.
Napa Valley I consider its own place, and it holds the most special place in my heart. He took me there for my 25th birthday. It is pricy, but wine country is so just relaxing. We stayed at this hotel, and we literally just walked out of our rooms patio door and into the vineyard. Im not 100% sure how much our week there was, but he told me not to expect anything for Christmas or valentines that year 😅
If you want really hot and in land Cali, my brothers and baby daddy went to Death Valley for a few days. They started the trip there, then went to Vegas (youngest brother's 21st birthday). My older brother said it was unbelievably hot (literally duh my sweet summer child), but he said the 4 days the 3 of them were there was a lot of fun. They did a lot of trail hiking and drank a lot of water. They all do not regret the choice to check it out. I was not invited on the boys' trip, so I didn't get to go 😑 I'm not salty AT ALL I didn't plan the trip for them or anything 🤣
If you're looking to get out of California, Colorado. Find your soul in Colorado. I highly recommend Georgetown. Not too far from Denver, not so high up in the mountains you have to anxious about snowfall and getting trapped, and I'll just attach the view from the hike into the mountains we went on.
Tumblr media
I will push Colorado to anyone needing to get away and get into nature if it is in their budget ❤️ I've never found a town in Colorado I didn't think was stunning.
If you want to stay on the West Coast, Oregon. We went to Crater Lake National Park. One word, Ethereal. A little busy, but so so worth it.
No matter where you go, if you're getting into nature and needing to re-center your soul, find a creek with running water and just put your hands or feet in it, or get into the ocean (to where you're comfortable) and just let yourself have a moment of silence. Water is purifying and healing. It's one of the most powerful elements in our world, and it is where I find the strongest connection to Mother Nature ❤️
Let me know if you want more travel spots!
