I care them all so mcuh. the books ever #so so many things i cant wait to see in the show. ive been imagining how some stuff could be translated into the show as i read #im so excited ougfhhh i love these books. life changing reads and im not even really halfway done with them #i just started the third one today actually :mindblown:#i sat down just to read the first few pages before i go to sleep. and erm. i ended up sitting there reading the first ~60 pages for over #-an hour instead. #yall i was about to go to bed. and then after this i watched the next episode AND THEN THE CLIFFHANGER????#so fucked up. and i still havent gone to e3 cause i have ERRANDS #may grant absolutely killed her scene tho. the way she was so shocked and frozen until she heard she was alive and CRUMPLED #it felt so real. such a true depiction of how a genuinely brave and reslient teenager would act.#holding it halfway together but clearly panicking yet still more in control than MOST ppl in a situation like that #but its her first big crisis (that shes conscious for). and the second there’s a bit of relief all the emotions hit at once #and then the REAL SHIT of her being like ‘ive never done anything of note i have nothing to write college apps about’#but as soon as you see her face afterward…the idea of her having to make this into a personal essay is literally stomach turning #911 s3 #911 #evan buckley #911 season 3 #eddie diaz #may grant

#guysssssss..... im sentinelbrained again.........#maybe next time ill get into something a single other person likes too but today is not that day #i feel bad yapping about this show to anyone directly cause it really is not that Good but. i am having sososo much fun with it #its such a good time #im on the third season and well it turns out the main character stoic cop guy has an evil toxic dad and some major daddy issues #and in this ep hes doing like. the whole 'you didnt want me to be different you made me feel like a freak but this is who i am this is me'#and like. yea its about the sentinel thing but u are also the man living with your Super Special boy bestie #who serial killers use as bait to lure you out like weekly and who you got a soul bond with and stuff so. could be nothing really #all the acting in this show is so like. i mean its not Bad bad but its very exaggerated at times fshsjsj and its so much fun #every episode has a 10minute chase scene #and these gaudy half fade commercial break title cards #so sillyy its so sillyyyy aagh #my post #anyways #you guys are lucky the sentinel tag here is so hard to navigate cos otherwise youd be getting another spamming of gifs right about now #theres a bunch of scenes where you only realize halfway through that sandburgs there too cos jim and simon are so tall compared to him #and he doesnt get any lines anyway. and it always makes me laugh #every single ep has a side charcater with one ear pierced. sandburg has one ear pierced. jim has one ear pierced. everyone does its the 90s #the music is so obnoxious and theyre playing it All the time and its the funniest thing #and the sound bites when jims using his Sentinel Senses are even funnier #anyway ye its not a good show and its not anywhere and nobody knows it but. i like it soso much #the constant slo-mo when something Dramatic happens too omfg can we bring it back

I cannot believe that the lego show about colour-coded ninjas who fight by spinning really fast is the source of pretty much the best next gen story I've seen in years

#fandom name left out bc I don't want this to go in the main tag #like. man I have not been feeling the latest neverafter :(

all the talk on the adventuring party about how much fun it is to find a desk full of info but all I could think was how much more i would've liked to have the characters find out this information organically through exploring the kingdoms of the neverafter. The lines between stuff was kinda cool but it was soo clear that brennan had not intended for them to get there that early so they just met Yet Another set of npcs that would immediately be dropped by the next episode.

Like can you imagine how much more meaningful the boss fight would've felt if we could have followed the party's approach to the city of chimneys? Rosamund seeing the wanted posters for the mermaid princess, learning about the council of kings bc commoners are skittish around Gerard..

The Wolf Soup leaking into the rivers of the land, infecting the land with undeath so we can be SHOWN instead of just being TOLD 'blah blah a world without death is obviously bad'

still slowly going through my sab book 2 and season 2 reread / rewatch and i think they made alina a little too nice and palatable in the show, which is odd since it's the one the fully made alina go dark side. book!alina straight up gets mean. like, "loses her temper and nearly slices someone in half" mean. "threatens to hurt baghra for information about the firebird" mean. she doesn't even turn evil in the books. in the show i think she just snaps at mal one time.

#uhhhh me #shadow and bone #speaking of mal i think his and alina's falling out feels a little stronger in the book bc of this #in the show he's just upset that alina is trying to take on the darkling on her own (iirc. i'm halfway through the rewatch only)#and in the book he's upset that alina is like. straight up getting corrupted bc of her pursuit for power lol #LIKE yes i think the execution in the book could have been a lotttt better #and that's something i had hoped the show could improve on #but alas #OH also also mal being a deserter feels like such a non issue in the show lol??#he got stripped of his rank in the book and u can tell how devastated he is and he struggles a lot with purpose #in the show he like. gets bonked in the head by vasily and imprisoned (offscreen)#and then he just reappears next episode like 'ya vasily imprisoned me but i escaoed (offscreen)'#if we had the proper pacing of the first season i think we would have actually seen mal trying to escape during the whole palace siege #and not have it happen OFF SCREEN

I got a job interview on the same day my current contract ends lol. Is my run of bad luck coming to an end or is it more of the same though 🧐

#i really really want it because it’s literally within walking distance and the hours are perfect AND it’s over the winter so i don’t have #to worry about how i’m going to fund myself during the off season (ya girl lives in a tourist town lol)#plus the hours don’t clash with my coding course. i mean it’d be hard for them to since it’s a night class #but i don’t even work the same days i have lessons. so that’s good #one catch - it’s 5 hour shifts. and it’s in a coffee shop #there’s a shop attached to it (funnily enough they sell some of the same stuff my previous workplace sold lol) and they give tours #it’s like a historic tourist attraction with businesses attached to it basically. that is the vibe #and ya girl still has a busted knee. so it’s like. will i be able to do this #does anyone want a limping waitress/tour guide/cashier? is 5 hours too much? who can be sure #i’m just going to show up to the interview anyway. i talked to my mom about it and she was like ‘they can maybe give you a chair #while you’re cashiering or program in an unpaid break halfway through the day. plus your start date is 2 weeks away and you have physio #the day before it. you’ll have improved’ and i was like ‘yeah. all true’#like it makes sense to me to just go there; be relatively honest about my limitations; gather info #and just find out whether or not this is feasible and whether they think they can accommodate me or not #if they can’t it’s literally fine. i don’t really have a burning desire to continue working in hospitality. plus i’m starting this course #and there’s a guaranteed job interview at the end of it; plus job help. PLUS my boss all but said she’d take me back in february #like obviously i want and need something to do in the next 6 months but this isn’t the be all and end all #i just want it. i think it would work well for me #i’m going to do the interview and just hope for the best outcome for everybody i think #personal

i just. i dont understand why this season needs to be so like. grounded. like obviously the premise is still stupid and ridiculous to an extent but the THING thats stupid is that theyve done this whole thing with sending them back in time and then played it completely straight the whole time without even a hint of weirdness going on in the background
