Which hybrid is Fayza? I know she's half Hellgriff, but the other half? (I always have had the idea that she was half datyle due to her semi-bipedal anatomy and feathery wings, but I think that it has never actually been stated).
Tumblr media
That is exactly how it is - a hellgriff mother named Sebastiana and a datyle father named Ivor. It wasn't any beautiful relationship, they both had an idea to get some benefits from their formal relationship, but ultimately backfired for Ivor who perished by the claws of Sebastiana.
(I want to make it clear that I don't have "good" or "bad" species, everyone has potential to be a major pain in the butt, just different ways. Hellgriffs are mostly known to be very knowledgeable and are eager to educate and share their knowledge, but their peer has also included a few very cruel individuals through centuries, and the history remembers that a way too easily. Sebastiana was one of those.)

accidentally took a 4 hour nap and now i can't sleep so mcsm theory time!
ok so this is kind of something that i never really see be debated in the community, but i do see it be represented in different ways. i'm talking about ✨the parallels between the new and old orders✨
for the most part, we can all agree that
magnus: axel (griefer)
ellegaard: olivia (redstonist)
gabriel: petra (warrior)
which just leaves two characters in each order: ivor and soren, and jesse and lukas.
i keep seeing people represent jesse in soren's place, because they're both the leaders of their respective groups or something like that. but i disagree.
lukas parallels soren much better because they're both architects. they're also both writers who live(d) away from civilization. they also both have a habit of being a little* bit dramatic in their storytelling of their adventures.
so if everyone else parallels each other in their roles... how does jesse parallel ivor?
the funny thing about these parallels is how it's not just in job that they match... kinda.
and i have some fun lil theories/analyzations on this, of which i will share!
theory 1: similar arcs
something really cool about these two (and some other notable characters i'll discuss another time) is that they both have character arcs where they grow and change as people.
ivor's plans of revenge backfire horrendously, and after that problem is solved, he makes new friends. ones who aren't liars, people who genuinely help. they're brave, and they forgive. they're willing to learn and change.
and so is he does too.
meanwhile jesse is a noob who knows barely anything about minecrafting who eventually saves the world. they learn a lot from the mistakes of their predecessors.
both ivor and jesse grow as people because of mistakes from the past. they both are characters who have decided to change things from how they were, whether it be how they were themselves or how someone before them was.
theory 2: creation/destruction
so i came up with this awhile ago, but you can split the members of the order into two groups (based on their "classes," so to speak): creators and destroyers.
olivia and ellegaard make redstone contraptions, lukas and soren build. they are creators.
axel and magnus blow things up, petra and gabriel slay monsters. they are destroyers.
what is ivor, then? his role as an alchemist means that he can create potions to help AND potions to harm. he is both a creator and a destroyer.
and jesse, our main character with quite the skillset (except for alchemy), also fits both the roles of a creator and a destroyer. jesse does whatever the heck jesse wants.
boom. parallels.
and one other funky thing i've noticed
ivor's stone in the amulet is the lapis blue one. jesse's favorite color is canonically lapis blue.

LOOK AT MY AWESOME (Lame) FANTASY AU PAL
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
More info
This au is like DND fantasy stuff x mcsm
The main plot is that the world is ruled by 3
Lords (aka the admins) and one of the lords is planning something terrible and the other 2 don't really care
So Jesse makes a plan to stop Romeo and invites Olivia to help them (Axel and Lukas kind of forced themselves in due to not trusting Jesse with Olivia alone) and go on an epic adventure to save the world
Jesse tells them about a wizard called Ivor who lives in Romeo's area who can help them, but the thing is they need to get things from the other two lords by defeating them. Which scares the living fuck out of the three
So off they go on the quest to kill gods and
MAYBE save the world
Bonus lore
Jesse is mostly not with them fucking off from time to time to get them weapons and supplies to defeat the lords, None of them know how he does this and he's not telling anyone so they just think he's magic or something
The lords designs

ivor and jessie seemed to me like characters from the soviet cartoon "kitten woof" (a cartoon about how a little kitten explores the world around him, alone, with a friend or with the help of adults). especially Ivor and Black Cat, playing the role of a cynical mentor for the main character who is just learning something.
(and I so love imagining Ivor and Jess through the parent figure/child relationship.)

Theory: the faces that inspired the papa's appearances (version 2.)
Tumblr media
Not too long ago, i was scrolling through Tumblr and I saw an user talking about the possible inspiration behind terzo's initial face: Bela Lugosi, the classic Dracula and for Cardinal Copia, Vincent Price.
It's something very visible, you can actually see how similar they are:
Tumblr media
But after the first version, their face structure changed.
Let me use terzo as example: his face structure was more delicate.
Tumblr media
Terzo was looking similar to his old self but something changed: his face was merged with a different person, and i think this person was Ivor Novello.
Comparison:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ivor Novello acted on "The Lodger", an Alfred Hitchcock thriller movie from 1927, playing the main role.
We can see that terzo's face is similar to his old one, but it's also similar to Ivor's, so i really think they marged some characteristics together.
In Copia's case, he actually had plastic surgeries and different from terzo, his face changed drastically:
Tumblr media
His new face was smother and a little more delicated, but with well marked features.
I think Papa Emeritus IV's new face is based on Timothy Dalton, with some smooth changes.
Comparison:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Timothy Dalton played James Bond on the 007 movies during the 80's.
I really think they're similar and i really want to know if my perception makes sense hehe <3

"Derek and I moved back into the main living room. Derek helped himself to a drink, and within a few minutes the other Beatles wandered in. John Lennon was shoeless in a crumpled white shirt and jeans so narrow that it looked as though they'd had an argument with his bare ankles. The whole place reeked of stale cigarette smoke. The introductions were brief. Derek said to John, 'This is Ivor'. John looked me over. 'Ivan the Terrible', he said. 'No, it's Ivor', I corrected, but John would have none of it. 'Ivan the Not So Terrible', he repeated."

MCSM Gabriel x Ivor
Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places, but I never see anything for my second favorite MCSM ship: Gabrivor. I see things for Harpvor (which is third favorite, I love it) and Ivoren (Soren x Ivor, which I completely see and understand, but am painfully ambivalent towards), but never this. So I'm going to scream my reasons for shipping it into the void for the stars to not hear.
So, a common piece of (for lack of a better word) evidence for Soren x Ivor is that, in playthroughs where you choose to save Gabriel from the Witherstorm and Petra is the one with memory loss, in the final battle, Soren runs away. And Ivor chases after him saying, "I can't let that idio get himself killed!" However, if you choose to save Petra and Gabriel is the one that loses his memory, then Gabriel will run off and Ivor will follow him, saying "I can't let that idiot get himself killed!" So if it's a piece of evidence for Ivoren, then it's a piece of evidence for Gabrivor as well.
But I want to go back a bit. To Ivor confronting Gabriel at EnderCon and creating the Witherstorm. This is honestly what made me ship them, because they seemed like such bitter exes. And they are bitter exes: bitter ex-friends. (Also, people use Ivor and Soren's bitter ex-ness as evidence, so I can too.)
It for some reason always stuck out to me that it was Gabriel that Ivor went after. Soren was in hiding, so he obviously couldn't choose him. Magnus was a public figure, but he stayed locked up in his castle constantly fending off competitors, so it would have been more difficult. However, Ellegaard was a public figure and, sure, maybe she was harder to get to than Gabriel, but she wasn't that hard for the main characters to get to. And she does make public appearances at least every once in a while, the citizens of Redstonia know who she is. He could have easily had his Witherstorm spawning there.
Now perhaps this is because Gabriel was the Warrior, the fighter. If you want to prove the Order is a bunch of frauds, you would want to show that someone is bad at the thing they claim they're the best at. But it's not like Ellegaard is portrayed as a bad fighter in the stories, so people would probably believe that she could take down a wither(storm).
I think the real, in-universe reason is the amulet. Ivor said that he programed the Witherstorm to follow the amulet, and Gabriel was the one with the amulet, not Ellegaard or anyone else. However, the amulet wasn't necessary to Ivor's original plan. The original plan, before the Witherstorm went haywire and stopped listening to his commands, was just to spawn the wither, have it attack a bit, have everyone see that Gabriel couldn't defeat it, and then defeat it himself by either calling it back or using the potion. He didn't plan for the Witherstorm to become out of his control and cause so much destruction. So, given what we can piece together of his original plan, he could have done that with Ellegaard, and maybe Magnus as well. So why would he choose Gabriel, specifically? Did he have a particularly close relationship with him and felt more betrayed when Gabriel sided with Soren and lied than he did when the others agreed to the same thing?
Also, I want to focus on the amulet a bit more. Why is it in Gabriel's possession? Gabriel doesn't really seem to do all that much magic, that seems to be Ivor's thing. It's also unlikely that any Order member other than Ivor made the amulet. Soren calls it "the Order's amulet", but Ivor calls it "Gabriel's amulet". Considering Gabriel almost definitely didn't make it and Ivor almost definitely did, why would Ivor call it Gabriel's? Ivor doesn't like the rest of the Old Order, so if Gabriel took the amulet when or after Ivor left, then Ivor likely wouldn't respect Gabriel's claim to it and would instead say it's his. But Ivor respects Gabriel's claim to the amulet. The only way I can see Ivor respecting Gabriel's claim is if Ivor, before the big falling out, gave it to Gabriel. Perhaps he even made it for Gabriel so he could find the rest of them better. Or maybe he made it for the whole Order but at some point trusted Gabriel with its ownership. Either way, it would suggest that Gabriel and Ivor had some special relationship. It doesn't have to be romantic, but it could say something about just how close they were.
Some miscellaneous things: if you choose to save Petra and Gabriel loses his memory, he will greet Ivor with "Hello, my name is Gabriel". And Ivor says "Somebody pinch me" with an odd expression on his face. I honestly don't know what this means, but it means something.
No matter whether you tell Gabriel to lie or tell the truth, after speaking, he will look back at Ivor. If you tell Gabriel to keep the truth about the Old Order a secret, Ivor shakes his head very disapprovingly and disappointedly at him. And Gabriel looks very guilty and sorry. And quite possibly a bit hurt/sad at Ivor's reaction. And if you tell him to tell everyone the truth, Ivor will silently nod approvingly at him. He doesn't smile, he's not smug, and he's not angry. In fact, he looks almost... encouraging and apologetic (for a split second before we cut back to Gabriel). Gabriel looks sad, but not at Ivor's reaction like he is if he lies. Either way, Ivor's reaction seems to have an impact on and mean a great deal to Gabriel. No matter what, he will look back at Ivor to see his reaction and possibly communicate that he's sorry.
All of this to say: there are some peculiar things that, in conjunction with each other, hint at Gabriel and Ivor having had a particularly close relationship while they were still part of the Order together. And I now ship these two idiots. Tragic.

I AM ASKING YOU LOUDLY ABOUT MCSM THIS DAY ARIA AU. TELL ME EVERYTHING INFODUMP RIGHT NOW
OKAY OAK AY OPAKAY OAK YUSDGSAIUFHGVKHSVDBS DVHJFXVKS
AHHSHR HYGT TYSM FIOR ASKUNG I AM SO EXCITED TO TELL YOU ABT THIS
SO
I am currently rewatching s2 (abt halfway through s2e1) and rewatched a canterlot wedding yesterday so these things are likely to change abt this (I will reblog this post with it later!)
iyk the plot of a canterlot wedding, you can pretty much guess where this is going. but still, there are some differences
some time between s1 and s2, petra goes to lukas (her cousin) and shows him the ring and tells him that she plans on proposing to jesse. lukas is very supportive of her decision and encourages her to do it. she ends up proposing to them at endercon! (I imagine beacontown's not that far from endercon). obv, jesse says yes! they are now engaged :]
the days go on like they normally would (for the most part) until the start of s2. I'm thinking maybe instead of the town preparing for founder's day, they're preparing for the wedding (I imagine it's in the order hall!)
when romeo transforms into jesse at the end of s2e3, he has NO FUCKIN CLUE that jesse is supposed to be getting married in like. a week at most. he finds out by petra coming up to him and talking abt it, much to his confusion
now, ofc, jesse is down in prison with radar (and jack?) and VERY MUCH MISSES THEIR FIANCEE. they know they're supposed to be getting married soon and is very nervous abt it bc they don't know what happened to petra!! and hopes she's okay!!!! generally worried abt the wedding and what could happen and if they will even have one at all :(
petra eventually catches on to quote unquote "jesse" not being themselves. in their panic, "jesse" brainwashes petra, similar to how chrysalis did to shining armor in the episode, which turns her eyes a similar color to romeo's, but duller.
the wedding plan goes on. jesse is miserable, radar is slightly less miserable, petra is brainwashed. but where is everyone else in all this? lukas is the main person who goes "HEY WTF?", so he kinda plays twilight in this case, but no one rlly does anything abt it bc they're just like "eh I think they're stressed", which would be understandable in this case tbh
eventually lukas tries to confront "jesse", and obv, this goes poorly. I don't have an exact idea on how it all plays out, but it ends with lukas crying bc He Fucked Up and "jesse" pretending to comfort him, he apologizes, and he sends his ass to the Shadow Realm (sunshine institute)
after a while of searching hopelessly for a way out, he comes across the real jesse (and radar). he tackles jesse, despite their protests, thinking they're still the fake, so jesse has to convince him that they're the real jesse, so they bring up the time where they gave him their cookie in the dirt hut wayy back in s1e1, and he's like "HOLY SHIT! I'M SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU" and they hug and radar's like "aww" and then they move on (again, a reference to a canterlot wedding)
they find a way to escape, yadda yadda yadda (THIS DAY IS GOING TO BE PERFECTT /lyr), and just as "jesse" and petra are gonna get married, lukas, radar, and the real jesse bust in and stop the wedding DRAMATICALLY.
then I imagine it plays out similarly to how the episodes actually went and they defeat romeo (like I mentioned earlier, haven't seen s2 in a hot second, SOO). petra's brainwashing is removed (somehow. still figuring that one out), and then jesse and petra can get married! yayy!!
oh btw I did make wedding outfit concepts for jesse and petra! here they are;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
found all the stuff on pinterest. I also made "jesse" and brainwashed petra in pt;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and! here are the wedding roles I have planned;
radar- officiant
ivor- ring bearer
jack- bride's (petra's) escort
lukas- petra's best man
axel & olivia- jesse's best man & maid of honor respectively (it's a non-traditional wedding I can do what I want)
like I said, I imagine the wedding takes place in the order hall, and I may write some vows at some point, but that's basically it. I have some vague ideas on what wedding photos, the cake, the reception, etc. look like, but yk. I'll get there
so. YEAH. that's my tda!mcsm au. FEEL FREE TO SHOOT ME ANOTHER ASK IF YOU WANNA KNOW MORE PLS PLS PLS PLSSSS

"Over there we will build a big elou submarine "
Have a nice day🌍🫶🌞🎧🎼
Tumblr media
Immediately after the release, the single "Yellow Submarine"/"Eleanor Rigby" took the first place in the English charts, where it remained for four weeks, having stayed in the charts for 13 weeks in total. In the same year, the Beatles received the Ivor Novello Award for the single as the best-selling single of 1966. However, in the USA, the cd did not reach the first place of the chart due to the scandal caused by John Lennon's words
"We are more popular than Christ".
Tumblr media
In addition to the Beatles, they took part in the recording of the merry din (the sounds of the shipyard): George Martin, Jeff Emerick, Patti Harrison, Brian Jones, Marianne Faithfull, Beatles chauffeur Alf Bicknell.
In 1980, John Lennon said of the song: "'Yellow Submarine' is Paul's child. Donovan and I helped with the words. We actually recorded it live in the studio, but the idea and inspiration belonged to Paul. Its name is... written for Ringo." Donovan owns the line "Sky of blue and sea of green". Paul McCartney: "Yellow Submarine" is such a happy place. Well, we were just trying to write a nursery rhyme. That was the main idea. The text should not make more sense than the text of any other children's song."
"One morning I was still lying in bed, and then I lived in the attic of the Usher house… I thought of it as a song for Ringo, which in the end it turned out that way, so there are not many notes in the vocal line, and then I started to come up with this story, like some old sailor telling the children a story about his adventures. To a large extent, this is my song, as far as I remember, and I think John helped me. As I wrote, the plot became clearer and clearer, but the chorus, the melody of the verses and the verses are mine."
The rhythm track "Yellow Submarine" was recorded on May 29, 1966, and overlays so atypical for a Beatles song were made on June 1: the sounds of sea waves, shouts of commands, a military march performed by a brass band. According to sound engineer Jeff Emerick, he used an excerpt from the recording of the military march 'Le Reve Passe', a 1906 composition by Georg Krier and Charles Helmer, to overlay the copper.
