It disrespected TFP on every level and for that it has my eternal hatred and contempt. The humans were annoying, and I HATED how many interesting plot threads there were that were either done poorly or with so little tact that the writing team should have just scrapped it. The designs are tolerable, but I hate how canon TFP characters lost so much of their individuality in their designs (coughtheopticscough). Smokescreen is fricking GONE, which bothers me more than I care to admit. We see the rest of the team enough to be reasonable, but they all appear in ways that don't really make me happy.

Ratchet was done well enough in my opinion. I like his RID design. It suites him. Optimus's design can go die in a hole, they brutalized that mech. Same with Jazz. Frag those stupid shoulder pads.

Grimlock is fun, I appreciate Sideswipe, although his helm hair thingies I think need a redesign to make sense in relation to his alt mode. Strongarm was HORRIBLY underutilized and I hardly saw any character growth in her. Drift and his crew were interesting, but similarly not given much room to grow. I really liked Windblade for the most part, especially the episode where she tries to baby Optimus and comes out having relearned that Op is still a PRIME with MILLIONS OF YEARS OF WAR EXPERIENCE.

The Primes who've done nothing but sit on their rears had NO RIGHT to belittle Optimus at every turn. Nor did the show have the right to make him an idiot for the sake of making Bee look smarter. As @nova--spark has pointed out, the personality Bee got in the show matches Smokescreen better. Bumblebee wouldn't have SUCKED so much at the whole leadership shtick. What happened to all that skill shown in the movie huh? HUH WRITING TEAM????!??!?!

While I am on this train. OPTIMUS DIED SO GOSH DARN LEAVE HIM ALONE!!! He should have stayed deceased, or if they REALLY needed him back, he should have either returned as an Civi or came back with actual issues. Like dang hear me out mate.

Optimus is forcefully returned to life, beats the Fallen with his borrowed power, but then has to actually deal with the consequences of essentially being a walking bomb for a while. Make him start losing plating, make his frame HURT, make him slim down again into the TFP base design. Just, give him a reason to have to sit back and RECOVER. Not this whole half hearted limping around garbage. To add to that, don't baby the mech. Let him stay at base and fulfill the role Ratchet did in TFP. Let him use his knowledge to teach and offer wisdom, plan battles and locate enemies. For Primus's sake he could have gone undercover on Cybertron or something if they really needed him to go be useless elsewhere.

THEY COULD HAVE EVEN HAD AN ARC WITH HIM GIVING THE TEAM A WAKEUP CALL!!! SIdeswipe has no respect for the mission, Grimlock is a fool, Strongarm is too snarky, and Bee in this seems to have largely forgotten about the seriousness except for during key moments. They could have made Optimus a minor antagonist, forcing the team to follow wartime standards since they laid down this plot thread regarding issues between leadership styles and Optimus trying to take control of the operation more than once.

I would have paid money to see Optimus's wartime mentality show itself in the best and worst ways through how he worked with this group of non war vets on a Decepticon capture mission. Maybe even have him use lethal force once or twice, or at least hint at it so that people can be reminded that he is a mech who went to war, killed countless bots, and both drove their people to and saved their people from extinction.

Bee could have had to teach Optimus to calm down. He could have helped eased his leader out of his wartime mindset. Or following that whole council running Cybertron route, Optimus could have had his moment of being very much right when he points out WHY he fought at all and gestures towards the new council. There was SO MUCH potential in this show, so many good threads and interesting Decepticon character that could have given so much depth to the war and the aligned continuity as a whole, but they were almost ALL ignored.

Alright, sorry about that. I have big feelings in regards to how dirty Optimus was done. Moving on, the Predacons were killed off supposedly and that pisses me off ESPECIALLY because it was done in a fricking offscreen setting. What the hell happened to Predaking??? WHERE DID HE GO????

Where is Shockwave? No seriously where is that fragger? After several years of the map he MUST have an army growing in a tank somewhere.

Soundwave. Why. ARe. YOU. HERE??!?!?!? I love you man but dang you are so out of place. He made sense in the context of trying to get to Megatron, but idk he felt like he deserved better. He should have been the big brain behind the Cons on Earth if you asked me. It would have made everything far more intense, especially if the Cons dont follow Decepticon creed as seen by Soundwave.

The humans were annoying. Sorry they just were.

Fixit is Primus's gift to RID and he's one of the few individuals who makes it less annoying. Idk, I just like him in reasonable doses.

WHERE ARE THE TFP KIDS?! WHY HAS BEE NOT CALLED THEM?? GOOD HEAVENS THERE IS A WHOLE SUBPLOT RIGHT THERE!!!

To put things simply, I would rather a group of fanfic writers put RID together than whoever the writing team was. They could have made a coherent story with deep characters that actually address the ramifications of millions of years of war and lingering functionalist mindsets. They would have done the lore and the world justice even if there were no main characters popping up.

I think RID has so much potential, but that almost all of it went right down the toilet due to either the higher ups sticking their noses where they don't belong or because the writing team couldn't go two minutes without retconning or otherwise destroying established everything.

— Tadashi Koi no Hajimekata (2023) | episodes: 01. genres: romance, youth. » there's only one episode but with two different versions! the name mentioned above is the first version and then tadashi koi no hajimekata: horoama? horoniga? date hen is the second version. it basically the same but shows the perspective of the two male leads with additional scenes! i just loved the pairing of mako and eita and their chemistry was soo good and fun. i am still v sad it wasn't an actual full length drama 😭 and the song that played at the end of date version was on repeat for months! 10/10 reccomend ✨

— An no Ririkku: Sakuragi An Haiku Hajimetemimashita (2021) | episodes: 02. genres: drama, youth. » i remember enjoying this one a lot it was definitely one of my favorite watches in 2021! since this one isn't the freshest in my memory (i have the worst memory fr) i can't say much but i swear i was obsessed w this special and the leads back in 2021!! 😆

— Talio Fukushu Daiko no Futari (2020) | episodes: 07. genres: comedy, law, mystery. » it's been three years since it aired and i'm still crying about it 😭 it's the one drama i never shut up about and think about all the time. it's my favorite drama of all time like nothing throughout the years has had a hold on me since!! (what i've previously said about it~) | the way both leads played off each other and their chemistry was just- a++ the soundtrack for the drama was also such a treat and the vibes matched it so well! the vibes of the whole drama though!! I think it was also shot beautifully. and the consistency (!!! the way they kept things going even the smallest details !!!) throughout was something i really appreciated and looked forward too :’) i really be missing it everyday... </3 | i literally have a talio collection that i finally completed a few months ago 🥹 i have the dvd, cd, vinyl, and the magazine the leads were on the cover of 🫶

Authors Note: I’m sure there’s someone that has done this already, but I wanted to write this because I believe Dean would probably be one of the biggest The Boys fans there ever was | I also just really love Soldier Boy and just need S4 | This is my first time using gifs throughout the fic so let me know if that’s something you like. When you and Dean first met three years ago, the two of you instantly clicked. It was a strange feeling for Dean at first, because the last time he had felt this kind of instant connection to someone, they turned out to be a siren; and he wasn’t about to fall for that again. Thankfully, because you too were a hunter, you had let him subject you to all the usual tests to prove that you weren’t some kind of monster. Silver, holy water, bearing your non-vampire teeth, and even showing off your anti-possession tattoo; the whole nine yards. Dean subjected himself to the same kind of tests as well, to prove to you that he was not a monster either. You had told him that he didn’t have to, that you believed him when he said that he wasn’t some kind of monster, but he did so anyway, without complaint.

Not only did the two of you share a passion for classic rock, Clint Eastwood movies, bacon cheeseburgers, and classic cars, you also shared a love of a tv show that barely anyone he knew, or you watched: The Boys. One of you, neither of you could really remember which of you had first mentioned it, but as soon as one of you did, it was like a light bulb went off. “Holy shit! You watch it too?” You had said. Not soon after that conversation, the two of you had started dating, which caused you to jokingly ask Dean, “Was me liking The Boys the final test if you were going to date me or not Winchester?” He remembered laughing at your comment. “No, I wanted to date you the moment I laid my eyes on you but, you liking the show did give you bonus points.”

Week One. Today was the day; the first three episodes of The Boys was going to be available to watch today, and you honestly couldn’t be more excited. “This is what I hate about tv shows now. One season is like five episodes, and then when it’s over, you have to wait another two or three years for the next season.” Dean started to complain, but you couldn’t help but agree with him. “Back in my day, you only had to wait like four or six months for the new season. Or, if it was a cartoon, the next week.” Dean continued. His, ‘back in my day’ comments only made you chuckle as you were only a few years younger than he was.

“Well, at least we can enjoy three episodes tonight, and then one each week for the next couple of weeks.” You said, trying to add some kind of positivity to the situation. Once you walked into the bedroom you shut the door behind you and started relying the list of quote-on-quote supplies that you needed for premiere night. “Okay, I got the popcorn, you got the beers. We’re both in our comfy lounging clothes. Is there anything else I’m missing?” You asked, making your way to yours and Dean’s shared bed. Dean was already sitting in bed with the remote in his hand, where he had already placed a beer on each nightstand – one for you and one for him.

As you stood at the side of the bed, Dean turned to look over at you with a small smirk on his lips. “Just for you to bring that ass over here with the popcorn.” Dean winked.

“You don’t have to ask me twice.” You replied, giving him a wink back before sitting next to him in bed; both of you sitting with your legs crossed. You placed the popcorn bowl in the middle so the two of you would be able to have easy access. Grabbing the remote that Dean had placed in front of you, you hovered your finger on the play button. “Ready?”

“I’m ready when you are Beautiful.” Dean said – you had never pressed the play button quicker your entire life.

As the two of you were watching the show, there was one scene in particular where you couldn’t help but raise a brow. Without any kind of warning to Dean, you pressed the pause button on a scene that showed a black and white photo of Soldier Boy and a group color photo of Payback. You did a double take just then, looking at the screen and looking at Dean. You couldn’t help but think that Dean looked like a spitting image of the actor that was playing Soldier Boy. After looking at Dean for a second time, he couldn’t help but look at you with a slightly confused, yet annoyed expression on his face. “Y/N, why’d you pause it?” He asked.

“You’re not…you’re not seeing this?” You asked, sounding slightly baffled.

“See what Sweetheart?” He voice sounding a bit more confused now.

You pointed at the screen, as if it should be obvious what he should be looking at. “You look exactly like Soldier Boy.”

Dean turned from looking at you to looking at the screen, eyeing the black and white picture of the man before him. He squinted his eyes, and unsquinted them just as quickly before looking back at you again. “What?”

With an annoyed huff, you got up from your spot on the bed and walked over to the screen so you can point at the picture. “You don’t see it?!” You questioned, amazed that Dean could not see the clear resemblance between him and the actor.

With a sigh, Dean got up from his spot; doing his best to humor you in the moment even though he knew for a fact that there was no way he remotely looked like the character. Getting up close to the screen he stared for a moment, doing his best to focus on the picture. “Nope. I don’t see it. I mean, the dude has a mask on.”

“Dean, that smile, clearly yours. And plus, I think I’ve seen you with a mask on plenty of times to know what you look like with a mask on.” You said. “Two words: Zorro roleplays.”

“I…” As soon as you said that, he looked back at the screen again. “No. I still don’t see it.”

“I honestly don’t know how you’re not seeing it! It’s like looking into a mirror!” Your frustration was starting to show in your voice. You walked back over to the bed and sat back down, Dean following your lead.

“I’m sorry Sweetheart. I’m just not seeing it.” Dean said. “Can we finish watching? We got two more episodes to watch tonight. And we’ve waited like a year and a half for this season.”

“Fine, fine…Soldier Boy.” You whispered the last two words, hoping that Dean didn’t hear you.

Dean’s head snapped to look in your direction. “What?”

“What?” You asked, almost too innocently for his liking.

“Did you…did you just call me Soldier Boy?” The way he asked, you knew for a fact that he had heard you.

You hesitated to answer for a moment. “No…”

Watching episode three was a struggle for you. It was so hard not to picture Dean now in the Soldier Boy scenes because of how much he looked and sounded so much like the actor playing him. “Fuck, you would look so good in that suit.” You whispered, barely audible as you watched a flashback scene taking place about what happened with Soldier Boy and his team when they were in Nicaragua with Grace Mallory.

“Say something Sweetheart?” Dean asked. You could see in your peripheral that Dean had his face looking toward you instead of having his eyes on the screen like you.

“Nope.” You turned to face him. “Why?”

“I thought…” Dean thought for a moment whether or not he was going to comment on what he thought he heard you say. Fuck, you would look so good in that suit. But decided that it would be best to play dumb for now; he didn’t want to bring up the weird argument you guys had during episode one. “Nevermind.”

Week Two. The next week rolled around, and it was time for episode four. “I can’t believe that the season is already halfway over.” You commented.

“Don’t know why they can’t do thirteen episodes like a normal show. None of this eight episodes crap.” Dean complained, doing his best to try and set the show up like you had showed him to do so many times before.

“Alright. As usual, I brought the popcorn, you got the beers, and we’re both in our comfy clothes. Anything else I’m missing?” You walked over to the bed, holding the giant bowl of extra buttered popcorn that Dean had requested.

“You sitting next to me.” Dean winked. “Come bring those soon to be insanely buttered fingers over here.” His comment made you laugh. “What’s so funny Gorgeous?”

You sat on the bed, taking your place next to your boyfriend, and looked at him with absolute awe. “You.” Was all you said before kissing him.

“Oh come on!” You said, pressing the pause button. “He even sounds like you when you sing!”

“What? That sounds nothing like me!” Dean exclaimed.

“Yes, it does. That’s exactly what you sound like when you sing.” You argued back.

“I-I’m not that bad. That guy –” Dean pointed the screen, “that guy sucks!”

“I’ve heard you sing Rapture by Blondie countless times. You sound exactly like that.” Although you had only known Dean for a short amount of time – three years to be exact – you have heard this man sing all the time. More often than you would have thought for someone like him. Between the long car rides, hearing him randomly sing when he’s in the shower or working on Baby; even at karaoke night down at the local bar when he’s had a few too many, you were far too familiar with his singing voice. Your boyfriend couldn’t really sing, but he enjoyed it. He wasn’t horrible, but he wasn’t necessarily the best either.

“I don’t sound like that! That guy right there? Clearly tone deaf.” Dean couldn’t believe what he was hearing right now. He knew for a fact that he wasn’t the best singer; he didn’t sing because he was good, he sang because he enjoyed it. “Are you calling me tone deaf?”

“What? No. Don’t be ridiculous. I’m just saying, I honestly cannot understand how you don’t see or hear that you sound exactly like this guy.” In that moment, you felt an idea hit you. Pointing your finger at Dean you said, “You know what? I’m getting Sam. He’ll agree with me!” Getting out of bed you started making your way toward the door; Dean following close behind you. “Sammy!” You called out once opening the door.

“Y/N! No! We’re not getting Sam involved.” Dean said, a hint of frustration and slight annoyance in his voice.

You stopped dead in the middle of the hallway, turning around to face Dean who you almost collided with. “Cause you know I’m right!”

“What? No! I didn’t say that!” He pinched the bridge of his nose; there was a small part of him that didn’t believe that he was having this kind of quote-on- quote argument with you.

“Sammy!” You called again, practically marching your way down the hallway.

Sam came out of his room, which was pitch black; the only hint of light was coming from the flashing lights of the tv in his room. “Y/N? Everything okay?” Sam asked, partially stepping out of his bedroom.

“Okay. Me and Dean need a debate settled.” You began. “There’s this character on The Boys called Solider Boy and I honestly think he a spitting image of Dean. Even sounds like him. But Dean, can’t see it or hear it.”

“I think she’s wrong. Clearly.” Dean chimed in.

Sam looked at the two of you, almost in disbelief. He didn’t know what he was really expecting to be honest, you and Dean had gotten into all sorts of debates since you two have known each other; some of them more ridiculous than the previous one. In some ways, it almost reminded him of some of the debates him and Dean would get into. They were slightly childish, but also weirdly passionate when it came to their side of the argument. “Alright.” Sam rubbed his face. “Show me what you’re talking about.”

Back in yours and Dean’s room you had episodes three and four pulled up: the flashback scene that had quite a bit of Soldier Boy lines, and episode four where he sang Rapture. After the three of you watched both parts – Dean rolling his eyes 90% of the time; you turned to Sam waiting to hear him hopefully agreeing with you. “I mean…” Sam looked at the scene that you were paused on and looked at Dean and then back at the screen. “Kinda. Like, if you squint.” Sam finally said.

“Ha! I win!” You slapped the sides of your legs as Dean said that. His reaction about what you were expecting.

“No! No! He said if you squint! That’s different than a flat-out no.” You argued.

Week Six. It had been a couple of weeks since you and Dean had your weird argument – more like debate – about whether or not he did in fact look like the actor who played Soldier Boy. You were a firm believer that he in fact did, which you thought was a compliment because you had thought that the guy playing him was probably just as attractive as Dean was. But Dean on the other hand, was of the opinion that he did not look or sound remotely like the guy and could not believe that you could even compare the two. “It’s like comparing apples to rifles.” Dean had told you. “Dean, that doesn’t even make any sense.” You replied. “Exactly my point.” He said.

After the first couple of episodes, you had decided that it was best to not bring up the debate again, knowing that the two of you would never agree. It wasn’t the end of the world of course, but there was a part of you that still could not believe that Dean couldn’t see it. Even Sam; who you really thought was going to agree with you, really didn’t. You had thought that if anyone would agree with you, it would be him.

You were currently in the Bunker kitchen with your back leaning against the counter waiting for the popcorn to be done. I should note though that my reimagine is in no way shape or form an insult or disrespect towards Viv, Brandon, and the people working on Helluva Boss, nor am I claiming myself or my reimagine to be better and superior than them and the show itself. -For starters, my reimagine of HB will the series be a mix of I.M.P. assassin missions and other plot lines. Like I don't mind there being other plot lines going on as I agree with some fans that just episodes of I.M.P. doing their job (despite that being the premise of the show) would get pretty boring after awhile and adding other plotlines to the series would spice things up (though, of course, that all comes down to the execution and how it's handled). But this idea definitely could've had much better execution, especially with where the series is at this point in time. So that's where my reimagine comes in with this idea. There will still be other plot points going on the side (ex. the Ars Goetia, Blitz being a victim to Stolas (making Stolitz toxic like the pilot originally intended and having both the show and characters actually acknowledge how toxic Stolitz is; though I'll also note that there will be no sexualizing or romanticizing SA & sex-trafficking, nor will there be any victim blaming either), backstories for the characters (incl. the main cast), the D.H.O.R.K.S. organization, C.H.E.R.U.B. & their rivalry with I.M.P., etc), but my reimagine will be a balance of I.M.P. doing their job and going on missions to earth + having other plot points occurring on the side without detaching itself from its original premise).

-The pilot will be canon to this series, as I have it planned to be the official start to the series instead of "Murder Family" (which in my reimagine, is the second episode of Season 1 instead of the first). However, I plan on largely rewriting it to both focus on the aspect of the I.M.P. business struggling and also be an introduction to the characters and their world.

-Seasons 1 & 2 will have 13 episodes each as a way to not only flesh out the characters, but also flesh out the world of Viv's version of hell as well, especially since it fits in with HB being a spinoff of HH and showcasing hell's other Rings besides Pride, since Hazbin itself takes place in the Pride Ring and that there's also the thing about sinners being stuck in the aforementioned ring and not being able to travel to other rings (though in my reimagine of Hazbin Hotel, I plan on removing that rule, changing it so that sinners can now travel to other rings and aren't stuck in Pride; plus, I feel like this idea could possibly explain all the hospitals, rehabs, money, and other earth stuff Viv's hell has thanks to the human sinners coming down and sharing their earthly stuff with the citizens of hell (though I should note that there will be no mafia or law enforcement system, as it's not only confusing, but also kinda dumb that it's there just for the sake of the plot of Season 2's "Exes and Oohs"); the yearly hell extermination would now be around all of Hell (incl. the other rings, not just pride); though it's possible this idea of mine might change in the future, as I feel like there's things that could be either done better or the idea itself is removed entirely). I say Seasons 1 & 2 since Seasons 3 & 4 have yet to have confirmed episode counts at this point in time. For Season 1, I wish there were more than just 8 episodes so that things could have a moment to breathe, and as for Season 2, while I do like that they upped the episode count to 12 (not trying to sound ungrateful or anything), I kinda wished they added an additional 13th episode to have an even episode count. Idk if it's just me, but I personally prefer having a certain number episode count (ex. 13 episode count, 30 episode count, etc), especially when I do my own projects.

-The main cast will still consist of BlitzØ, Moxxie, Millie, and Loona. However, there's going to be a couple changes to the cast, as now there will be two new characters (AKA a couple of my HB OCs) added to the main cast: Alice Lola and an Unnamed Envy Ring Demon OC.

Here are the summaries for them (though side note: there's a chance that some things about them may or not change about them once the official reimagine comes out).

Alice Lola (Ally for short): A 24-year-old Pride/Wrath Imp who works as an assassin at I.M.P. and is an aspiring writer. She is Millie's childhood best friend who moved back to the Pride Ring (as she spent a small part of her childhood in pride before moving to the Wrath Ring for reasons I have yet to figure out (I'm thinking about the reason being her dad got a new job at Satan's gym, be it as a gym trainer or an assistant manager) where she spent most of her life before moving back to Pride) in hopes of becoming a famous writer, inspired by the likes of her mother, who is a famous author, and works at I.M.P. to help support herself. She has pride heritage from her mom and wrath heritage from her dad. She is known as (as Viv tried to describe Millie in her Millie defense thread she made in March 2023, but sadly fails due to it not being translated well within the show itself) the heart and soul of the team. Aside from her job at I.M.P., she's also working on a book series that she'd love to publish someday, but it's established my version of HB's Pilot that this book series of hers is in the concept stages of development. (Fun Fact: I named her after Alice Ackerman and her FreeGirlsLive camgirl name "Lola_Lola" from Netflix's Cam)

Envy Demon OC: I'm still foggy on the details regarding him (ex. name, history, relationships with the other characters, what sea creature he'd resemble (I'm thinking about possibly making him resemble a Blue Glaucus, but I'm still thinking about it at this point in time), etc), but I do know six things about him so far:

-He's I.M.P.'s new receptionist (as in my AU, Loona is now I.M.P.'s bodyguard, but that's a story for another day when I talk about my reimagines of the main cast; though I will say that another thing in my AU is that EDOC is the new keeper of the grimoire, as he is the only member of I.M.P. who has read the it and knows how to use it; additionally, since EDOC is the new receptionist, he would keep the grimoire with him at I.M.P. and open it whenever Blitz calls him to help him and the gang get back to hell).

-He has the power of reading mastery (which is basically the ability to speed read and also has the user absorb and remember the knowledge they've gained; I'm thinking maybe he was given this power by Leviathan (maybe even possibly having a second job of working for Levi himself or somewhere in hell's hierarchy aside from his job at I.M.P.), but idk if I'll go through with these ideas or not).

-He loves organizing & keeping track of things.

-He's a neat freak & a bookworm.

-Possibly has a British accent.

-Has high knowledge of hell's hierarchy and class system (though I won't have him be a character who's there just to deliver exposition to both the characters and the audience; trust me, I hate it when characters (especially ones I like) are treated like that, when I know they are so much more than that, but the writing does them a massive disservice and I feel like they deserve better than just following the 'Mr./Ms. Exposition' trope).

But I thought it'd be cool to not only see other demons from other ring (in this case Envy), but also add more diversity (species-wise) to the main cast outside of Loona, who is a hellhound.

As for their relationships with the main cast, like I mentioned, I'm still figuring out EDOC's side of his relationships, but I will share Ally's:

BlitzØ - Boss/Love Interest

Moxxie - Co-Worker/Brother Figure

Millie - Co-Worker/Childhood Best Friend

Loona - Co-Worker/Daughter Figure (sort of)

But yeah, aside from them, there's also other HB OCs integrated, such as Maggie Quinn (my Impsona/HB Self-Insert who is a close friend of Ally, a famous rockstar celebrity, has two pet hell corgis (who btw aren't hellhounds, just devil dogs that look like corgis, inspired by Brady and Graffiti the Corgis on YouTube) and is also Fizzarolli's girlfriend; yes, I know he & Asmodeus are in a relationship, but in my AU, Fizz, Maggie, and Ozzie are in a poly OT3 relationship, with Fizz fucking both Maggie and Ozzie, and whether or not Maggie & Ozzie are also fucking each other as well is something I have yet to figure out; also, just as a friendly fyi, Fizz & Maggie's relationship is public, while Fizz & Ozzie is a secret and both do a much better job at keeping it that way; plus, their OT3 is a healthy one bc I love poly relationships and definitely agree that they deserve better representation in media *looking at you Netflix's Fate: The Winx Saga*), Rainbow (my Cherub OC who is a member of C.H.E.R.U.B., a painter & poet, Collin's love interest, and Ally's heaven counterpart), and Agent Three (my Human OC who is a member of the D.H.O.R.K.S. organization and works alongside Agent One & Agent Two).

-The female characters are given more character and depth than just being accessories/side pieces/plot devices for the male characters (ex. Millie will be more than just Moxxie' wife, Loona will be more than just Blitz's adoptive daughter, Stella & Octavia will be more than just Stolas' wife & daughter, Verosika will be more than just Blitz's ex-girlfriend, Tilla & Moxxie's Unnamed Mother will be more than just the moms of Blitz & Moxxie, Sallie May will be more than just trans representation and merch bait, Barbie Wire will be more than just Blitz's twin sister, etc).

-Harmful stereotypes (including LGBTQ+ ones such as gays being hypersexual) are removed. The same thing applies to my reimagine of Hazbin Hotel as well.

-Characters will have consistent characterizations and development, with said development actually sticking with the characters from the episode they receive it from onward instead of restarting/reverting like nothing happened because of the stupid "status quo rule" a lot of shows tend to suffer from (ex. SpongeBob SquarePants, Winx Club (Seasons 5-8), etc).

-The plot/story, lore, and worldbuilding will be consistent and cohesive, though not in a way that I'm spoon-feeding info to the audience. More like in a natural way (i.e. passing comments and more). Oh, and there will be no breaking the lore or worldbuilding nor having it be inconsistent and/or irrelevant just because the episode and/or show demands it (such as people knowing of Fizz & Ozzie's relationship and Bee & Vortex's relationship; while I do think the writers could make Fizz & Ozzie hid their relationship better (and also make the audience finding out about their relationship less anticlimactic and more serious in Mammon's Musical Mid-Season Special), I (unpopular opinion) don't think Bee & Tex's relationship is public like some fans think it is; I personally think it's secret and that only Verosika, possibly her crew, and Loona know of this relationship between a sin and a hellhound (which I imagine they all agreed not to tell anyone else about), and that Bee & Vortex pass each other of to the citizens of hell (including those in the Gluttony Ring) as close friends; though I do feel like if that were the case, then the writers should've clarified that within the "Queen Bee" episode itself rather than leave it ambiguous as to whether or not people know about it).

-Do less 'Tell Don't Show' and more 'Show Don't Tell', which follows through with my previous note of having consistent & cohesive plot/storytelling, lore, and worldbuilding. And also have stuff Viv and the writers mention on social medias like Twitter & Patreon actually be seen in the show (ex. Moxxie's being a mercenary from wrath, Millie's "characterization", transportation to other rings besides the elevators shown in "Ozzie's", etc). Like I'm sorry, I don't wanna be mean or rude to Viv and the writers of HB (nor do I want to hurt anyone's feelings), but I have to agree with fans that we shouldn't need to go to other sources (in this case social medias like Twitter) to understand the show and it's plot & lore, as not only does it get lost in translation, but that's also bad writing & bad storytelling; not to mention I also agree that if you need to go to other sources to understand the story & writing of your media, then it not only shows your failure as a writer, but also that both your media's writing and your writing in general need a lot of work). One example of this is including the cutaways the pilot originally had but improving them by doing one cutaway at a time and not having another cutaway take place during an already playing cutaway. I did this because (unpopular opinion) I actually love cutaways, as I find them fun and entertaining (especially in Family Guy, most of the time), though I do have to agree that having a cutaway occur during a current cutaway is confusing and does make you question what's going on, hence why I plan on having the cutaways return from the pilot but improved upon to have one cutaway take place at a time.

-Characters actually face consequences for their actions and there will be no 'Karma Houdini' bs pulled on them at all (especially Blitz & Stolas); and I say Blitz & Stolas because a lot of fans complain about them not actually facing consequences for their actions and the show excusing it with them being "soft gay uwu baby boi's", so I thought I'd fix this mistake in my rewrite; and also, because I absolutely despise the 'karma houdini' trope)!

-Blitz, Moxxie, and Millie will have human disguises from the very beginning of the series. Loona will still have her human disguise as well, and even Ally & EDOC will have human disguises too. I'd have the team obtain them through the grimoire once Blitz gets his hands on it via a spell. In addition, I'm also considering on keeping the thing Loona & Verosika mentioned in "Spring Broken" about there being consequences to going to earth without human disguises (like for example, the reason being because Lucifer doesn't want people to know if demons truly exist or not), though idk if I'll go through with this idea or not. Not to mention I also wanna keep the silly disguises they use cuz I like them and think their fun. Hell, even Loona gets in on the costume fun as well.

-Stick to a consistent number of villains & antagonists. Not saying the characters can't face new enemies but have them use and flesh out the ones they already established (such as Stella, Striker, C.H.E.R.U.B., etc) and have the new ones they face either be one-offs or even enemies for other characters to face (ex. Mammon with Fizz & Ozzie). In regards to earth villains, they're usually one offs (with the exception of Ronaldo from the Ghostfuckers leaks, who I have be an enemy for Blitz to face, as I'm slowly considering on using the idea I proposed to you on making him Blitz's "target that got away" from HB's pitch bible for my rewrite), and as for the D.H.O.R.K.S. organization, I was thinking about having them show up later in the series (maybe in Season 3 or 4), with hints, foreshadowing, and buildup throughout Seasons 1 & 2 (and maybe Season 3 if I choose to have them appear in Season 4), ala The Diamonds from Steven Universe. Like have some enemies appear in the beginning of the series, and then introduce new ones later down the line.

-Remove the tonal whiplashes (especially with the increase of them in Season 2), and let serious scenes be serious, while comedic scenes stay comedic.

-Remove the jokes regarding serious & sensitive topics (ex. abuse, suicide, fatphobia, racism & discrimination, the neurodivergent "r word", trauma, ptsd, gaslighting, etc). I also plan on doing this with other reimagines of mine as well, because personally, I absolutely hate it (and I mean hate with a burning passion) when media treats serious & sensitive topics as jokes and/or gags for comedy, let alone handling them so poorly and distastefully, whether it's intentional by the writers or not. It's my #1 least favorite writing choice (tied with characters acting OOC just to make a plot and/or joke work). And no, idk that the characters are either demons from hell or awful human beings from earth, or that their assholes, and I certainly don't care about the "it's hell, what do you expect?" excuse the fandom likes to give. Those aren't excuses nor justifications to treat such topics as jokes for comedy, let alone for the sake of drama, shock value, or "spicy character development". It's not only disgusting, but incredibly distasteful and disrespectful to those who have been through such stuff irl. I also agree with @helluvabossrewrite45 (who btw I highly recommend checking out) in an ask that the show can't pick and choose which 'abuse' is good or bad because they all are bad in their own way. Not to mention I also agree that they should be treated like their bad, even if the characters are demons from hell.

-Integrate biblical lore in the show itself. I decided to do this after being inspired by LovesArt23's video on her reimagining of Leviathan (which btw I highly recommend checking out) and @campbell-rose's post about their Helluva Rewrite w/ Doodles of their version of imps (which I also highly recommend checking out), in which they talked about how important it is to do research. And, as much as I love Viv, I sadly have to agree with both of them, specially LovesArt in her Leviathan Reimagine video. While yes, Hazbin & Helluva are Viv's shows and she's free to do whatever she wants with them, the characters & setting are from pre-existing lore, and she should've at least done research on biblical lore and integrated said biblical lore (or at the very least some of it) into both shows and her version of hell.

-Have the power levels be consistent amongst the characters, including the main cast (specially Moxxie & Millie) and Stolas.

-Remove certain retcons (such as Blitz & Stolas being childhood friends who are "destined" to be together), fix any inconsistencies (such as reverted character development), and fill in plot holes (such as how Barbie Wire was able to obtain an Asmonean Crystal in the first place).

-And last, but certainly not least, plan the reimagine out from beginning to end. I got this idea from @helluvabossrewrite45 who in my first ask to them, recommended to me that I plan my reimagine out so that I don't make the same mistake Viv made on not planning the show out from the get-go, resulting in many of the show's issues such as plotlines being rushed, plot holes, inconsistencies, character development being reverted bc of the "status quo" rule, retcons, certain characters being neglected by the narrative (*cough* Loona *cough*), and many more. This not only helped me with my reimagine of Helluva Boss, but also with other reimagines I have in the pipeline that I'd love to do someday as well. And I owe them a huge thanks for the advice.

And those are my notes for my reimagine of Helluva Boss, with some Hazbin reimagine notes sprinkled into the mix. I know some of the ideas I noted here may not have (or had very little) depth to them, but hey, it was fun to write these ideas down, regardless of them being simple or complex. I saw a post that was asking why Talokan is named after the Aztec underworld paradise Tlālōcān when the Talokanil are Mayan. I was pleasantly surprised by the backstory given by one of the film’s cultural consultants, Dr. Gerardo Aldana, on this week’s episode of the Wakanda Forever podcast (which is excellent btw). He makes the distinction that they came up with Talokan as a Maya pronunciation of Tlālōcān, and that Tenoch’s input was crucial to finalizing the backstory: 

“Ryan comes to me and he says ‘Hey, Tenoch says he doesn’t look totally Mayan, so can he possibly be mixed? Can he be mixed indigenous?’ And I said that’s perfect, because if Tenoch’s father’s family is pochteca, that means there’s these mercenary spies from the Aztec empire, and they come out, and they live in Yucatán, and then his mom is Mayan, so he’s like this mixed indigenous race, and then it gets even better because once they go into the underworld...and Namor’s like, ‘Hey I want to know more about my dad, I want to know about his community,’ she’s telling him all these stories about what he [Namor’s father] would tell her, and he talks about Tlālōcān, which becomes Talokan. So then you end up with the final name: he’s inspired by this father that he never knew, this paradise in the underworld, and that becomes the name of what he wants to build.”

I'm so moved by the idea of Namor’s love for his people being influenced by his love and grief for both of his parents—and his vision for Talokan being influenced by both parts of his heritage. Also appreciated that, on the podcast, Tenoch made a point of clarifying 1) the film’s imagining of a pre-Hispanic Maya community is distinct from current indigenous communities and the oppression they face, and 2) he’s not indigenous so “that doesn’t mean that the current indigenous and the mixed people in Latin America can feel represented” (though they can possibly feel connected). 

I def don’t think the movie is perfect and I defer to how indigenous folks of Latin America feel about the incorporation of Mayan culture. But I have a lot of admiration for how thoughtful every member of the team seems to have been in approaching it, and the specific generosity of Black filmmakers including non-Black indigenous people in an Afrofuturist project. Other episodes of the podcast highlight the immense amount of research and work that Hannah Beachler and Ruth E. Carter conducted in creating the visual world of Talokan—and their determination, along with Ryan Coogler’s, to do it with respect for the people and culture and understanding of the stakes—and imo it really shows.

Long Post of Random Thoughts on Finishing "Gravity Falls"

Are you interested in reading a really long post where a middle-aged guy talks about a children’s cartoon that ended seven years ago? If so, you are in luck! I just finished watching “Gravity Falls” y’all! And here are a bunch of totally random thoughts about it:

-“I’ll have you know Duck-tective has a big mystery element! And a lot of humor that goes over kids’ heads!”- it was nice that the kids show that I became obsessed with over the past two months or so acknowledged the reasons adults might get obsessed with it. Also, Duck-tective has to be one of my favorite show-within-a-show premises. I’d definitely check it out!

-While I do love the humor of the show so much, it is really the mystery element- the ongoing story arc- that took me by surprise and eventually led to me bingeing the last eight episodes or so in one day. I just don’t remember animated kids comedies- or really, many kids shows of any type-when I was growing up that had ongoing story arcs like that. Kids shows where the episodes could be watched in any order and everything was always “back to normal” at the beginning of the next episode was the norm.

-I’ve been a fan of Kristen Schaal since she was on The Daily Show and eventually end up watching everything she’s in. So, the main thing I knew about Gravity Falls going into it was “Kristen Schaal does the voice of that girl”. As Louise Belcher is one of my favorite TV characters, I was worried- would I be able to forget about Louise while hearing Mabel? Yes, quite easily. Their personalities are so different! It was basically never an issue. I actually tried to listen for Mabel lines that sounded like Louise might say them and really only ended up with two that stuck out to me (“I high-five hard.” and “I AM THE GOD OF DESTRUCTION!”)

-Oh, but Louise would also want a grappling hook. And, honestly, she’d get as much or more use of it than Mabel did. Like I can think of a few episodes (and the movie…) where it could’ve been helpful. But I digress.

-One final Bob’s Burgers related point, there were a few things in season two that I just couldn’t help but wonder if they were references to Bob’s Burgers. First, the Jersey Shore hometown of Stan and Ford definitely made me think of Seymour’s Bay. And the Pines briefly have a burger phone in “The Stan-Churian Candidate”! On the other hand, both Jersey Shore towns and burger phones are real things that existed well before Bob’s Burgers and not every appearance of them is a reference to it. (But when you’ve also got Kristen Schaal involved…)

-And speaking of cast members who I remembered from other things, both Dipper and Wendy were voiced by actors from short-lived early 00s shows that I loved: Joan of Arcadia’s Jason Ritter and Freaks and Geeks’s Linda Cardellini. The fact that I will associate them with those shows is another indication that I am not in the target demographic of Gravity Falls! But, honestly, if I had known Linda Cardellini was also in this show, I might have checked it out sooner.

-And speaking of Dipper and Wendy, I really loved how they handled Dipper’s crush on her in season two. Their scene together at the end of “Into the Bunker” is so sweet, it just made me feel so much affection for both the characters and the folks who make the show. It would’ve been so easy to never really make any effort to resolve that plotline and instead just always have Dipper pathetically crushing on her for the whole show. Or make it a nerdy boy wish-fulfillment thing and have her actually return his feelings (which just wouldn’t’ve been realistic given their ages). Instead, I feel like they addressed it in a realistic and sensitive way, which was nice.

-Another thing I really appreciated was how they developed some of the supporting characters in season 2, particularly Old Man McGucket and Pacifica Northwest. I enjoyed those characters in season one, but pretty much assumed they would always stay in their stock character roles- crazy old man and mean rich girl, respectively. Instead, McGucket gets what I found to be some of the most moving scenes in the show- when he gets his memories back and when he reunites with Ford.

-And Pacifica! She’s honestly the character I find myself wondering the most about what happens to them after the show. She’s realized her family has been pretty horrible for generations. She stood up to her parents. Her family lost some of their money and had to sell their mansion (her dad pledging allegiance to Bill and investing in weirdness bonds is probably one of my favorite details from the finale). She’s becoming a teenager. And she lives in Gravity Falls full time. I just think her post-series finale life is gonna be pretty fascinating!

-And maybe that life will involve her getting romantically involved with Dipper? Yeah, I started shipping that after “Northwest Mansion Mystery”, and even though the show really didn’t give them any scenes together (which is understandable, there was a lot of other stuff going on) I still like it. I checked to see if there was fic about it on AO3 and immediately got freaked out because there is so dang much of it! Seriously, the number of Dipper/Pacifica fics on there is literally ten times the number of fics for my favorite Bob’s Burgers ship! What am I supposed to do with that?!

-So if the statement, “I’m looking for the ‘Be My Thrill’/’heaven help the fool who falls in love’ of Dipper/Pacifica fics” means something to you, and you have a recommendation, let me know.

-One supporting character I wish had been introduced earlier: Tad Strange, the most normal person in town. The name, the character design, the voice, all just amused me. It would’ve been fun if there was more of him.

-Speaking of supporting character designs that I loved: Toby Determined and his hat, with the press card that says “hat” instead of “press”. That literally always made me smile. I love it so much. It is one of my favorite cartoon character design details ever.

-Possibly the most random of observations: I can now think of four fictional characters named Mabel off the top of my head, but don’t think I’ve ever met anyone with that name in real life.

-I don’t have any kids of my own, but I do have a nephew, and now I am pretty excited about the possibility that I could be a Grunkle a few decades down the road. Hopefully, I’ll have my own Mystery Shack by then.

-Even though I know how the storyline ends now, I feel like this show has a high level of rewatchability for some point in the future. I’m sure there will be tons of details that I didn’t notice the first time around, and there are definitely more layers of it to peel back (I never paid attention to the codes/puzzles in the credits. Although, had I been watching this show when I was 10 I probably would’ve obsessed about them.)

-I can probably think of more things to say about this show and probably will, but this seems like enough for now. Thanks to Alex Hirsch and everyone involved in making the show for creating such wonderfully weird, hilarious, entertaining world! And thanks to you, person who actually read to the end of this post!

Finally done with The Novelist series!

Overall, I LOVED IT! I will always love stories that focus on characters who are kinda shitty and fucked up learning how to deal with complicated emotions and learn that - yes! - they too are deserving of love! Kijima is an asshole and I love him dearly. His struggles with opening up to Kuzumi and trying to articulate how he feels is very relatable and well done.

If I was going to rank each entry in the series, I'd say: The Novelist > Mood Indigo > Continued Spring Life > Spring Life > Playback.

If I'm being truly honest, Mood Indigo is #1 BUT The Novelist is such a great introduction to the story that I can't put it at #2 but the chemistry between Kijima and Kido is off the charts and that alone makes Mood Indigo worth watching, even if you don't necessarily want to watch the whole series (I won't write a whole spiel about Mood Indigo but Gamoda and Kijima's relationship genuinely made me weepy at times and there's so much fantastic commentary on creativity and sexuality which is always refreshing to see.)

Playback was fine overall but I like the episode format more than a full length movie. Some parts were a bit slow and drawn out but I appreciated the growth both Kijima and Kuzumi go through. It's great to see how Kuzumi has become independent and self-assured vs. Kijima who still struggles with emotional vulnerablity. (@chaos0pikachu made a great point that it subverts the typical age gap trope by having Kijima be the one who has a difficult time being his full self while Kuzumi embraces who he is and what he wants). The romance is important but it's really about adults navigating life and complicated relationships which I enjoy more and more as I get older.

In a surprise to no one, Kido is my favorite guy. Sad men with problems are like catnip to me (IN FICTION lol) and I'm also a sucker for doomed relationships so 2 for 2.

I have a fic already written that I need to edit so expect that at some point next month <3

I'd also like to note Steve being impressed with the dolphins and pointing them out to Danny and the fact that in the very first episode, Steve gave Danny a trip to a hotel where you can swim with the dolphins for Danny and Grace. So... just saying.... dolphins are a recurring theme here.

That has to be some of the most laden 'platonic' flirting I have ever seen.

Okay episode 7 thoughts!

-This episode went by SO FAST like it was 40 minutes but I thought for sure it was closer to 30

-I like that they’re clocking the monsters and traps and myth stuff right away. And it’s not just Annabeth but all three of them

-I was excited when they said they were including the waterbed scene and it looked great from a production standpoint but it went by so fast.

-The line about crusty being lucky they’re not gonna cut iff his head was funny. Especially since that’s the closest we were gonna get to how that scene ends in the books (this is a kids show made by disney there was no way they were gonna show percy actually cutting off his head)

-I miss doa records. That scene is so fun

-“We drowned in a bathtub” “all three of you? Big bathtub” WE WERE ROBBED

-Underworld looks cool! I appreciate that they didn’t make all of it super dark so I could actually SEE what was happening

-Cerberus looks SO CUTE! And the line about Annabeth’s dad having a dog so she knew how to treat him

-Poor Grover

-I knew one of those pearls was not gonna make it

-I loved the choice of having Annabeth get caught in Asphodel cuz of her regrets. Beautiful scene

-Why is Hades’ place upside down? What in the stranger things was that about?

-I hope in season 2 they’re given more episodes cuz the underworld could have easily taken up 2 if not 3 or even 4 episodes. It felt rushed with only one episode.

-In the book, Hades is described as “Hades was the third god I’d met, but the first who really stuck me as godlike” (pg 309) so it’s interesting cuz in all the adaptations so far (movie, musical, show) never seem to follow that. They always go for the opposite, making Hades out to feel more human than all the other gods. Not a bad choice, just something I noticed

-I loved the flash back with Sally. She feels much more human. A young mother alone and struggling. Even when she’s yelling at Percy you can see how much pain she’s in

-Her convo with Poseidon was perfect! I love knowing that Poseidon was there looking out for both of them and being there for Sally.

Overall this was a solid episode. My only real issue was the pacing. It felt waaay too fast. Excited for the finale! Hoping for season 2!

you wanted to gift lucifer another curse vinyl, knowing that he loved them. however, with the amount he had, it was hard to remember which ones he had or ones that he wanted. so instead you decided to just take him to the biggest vinyl store in the devildom, it was a bit of a journey, but it was worth it. seeing lucifer's admiration the many, many vinyls made your heart warm. and you both appreciated being alone with the other, as you returned home, he decided to repay you. before you could even step out, he grabbed your wrist, twirling you towards him. he asked you for a dance. you told him your dancing skills weren't the best. he insisted it didn't matter and that he would teach you.

you celebrated every winter season the same, with very bad and cheesy hallmark movies. it became your own tradition, and you continued it despite being in the devildom. you cozied up in bed, scrolling through movies on your phone. it wasn't ideal to watch on your phone but, you didn't really feel like setting things up. it was just you and the bad acting on screen, until mammon had barged in. you were well used to him just walking in your room. he sat down beside you, looking over at your phone. he'd say a sly remark about the current movie but end up staying besides you to finish it. he'd rest his arm on your shoulder with his arms around you, waiting for the next one. one of the movies would totally remind him of you two, making him very sappy.

while lounging around in your room, you asked levi if he had ever made a fort. you weren't totally surprised to hear that he hadn't, but you decided you had to change that. you lovingly pestered him to assist you. the two of you piled up blankets and pillows, to make the perfect fort. you even decorated it with pretty string lights you had lying around. you cozied up next to leviathan, watching him play some game on some handheld console. you took turns trying to beat a new rpg game that came out until one of you fell asleep.

satan was amazed to find out that the human world has such things as cat cafes. he would mention it almost constantly, begging for you to take him. and who were you to say no? but, to his surprise you weren't just taking him to any cat cafe. you were taking him to one that also had its own library. satan was beyond excited, even if he was tame about it. he wasted no time finding some sort of detective novel and a quiet spot. you joined him after grabbing the two of you a coffee. you picked your own book, occasionally peeking up at him. the bliss on his face from having a book in his hands, a cat in his lap, and you by his side was enough to know that this was worth it.

usually, it'd been asmodeus telling you about the new spas in the devildom. this time it was you to get the news first. you happily told him that you were taking him on a special surprise date. of course, he'd never decline any alone time with you. his eyes beamed with excitement as you arrived. this spa was inside an unactive volcano which is said that its water has incredible skincare benefits. the both of you luxuriated in the warm waters while applying a face mask. asmo let out a soft sigh before pulling you closer towards him. he was beyond happy to share this with you. he'd kiss you despite your whines. he didn't care to smear his face mask, nothing really mattered to him but you.

after showing beelzebub episodes of cooking competitions, before he got too hungry, you got inspired to do your own cook off. you would make seasonal treats from the human world, and he'd make ones from the devildom. he agreed without any hesitation. neither of you wasted any time heading to the kitchen. you made your first dish, a simple dark chocolate mousse with bits of peppermint. beel's eyes widen as he took a bite, not hesitating to finish it. as the mousse disappeared, so did your competitiveness. it was replaced with just wanting to treat beel to various of your favorite treats. you watched in admiration as he took the time to fully taste each dish you placed in front of him.

belphegor had asked if you had plans in the coming days, and if you did you'd have to cancel him, you asked him what for but he wouldn't give you a specific answer, he had planned a little stargazing date to show you the winter stars of the devildom, he brought multiple blankets and even a hot chocolate for you so you'd stay warm, he'd point out the stars and constellations to you, telling you tidbits of their lore and folktale, even going as far as comparing you to the stars, i mean to him, you truly were the light of his life, through everything you stood beside him, even if (to him) he didn't at all deserve it, you give him a soft kiss, reassuring him that you'd have it no other way.

After watching this video, it really made me get tears in my eyes in a good way. It really means a lot to me. Looking back to my childhood memories and rewatching all G4 episodes and watching Make Your Mark episodes, it reminded me why I love MLP so much. It’s not because I love horses, or the colorful ponies. It’s because it makes me happy and it gives me comfort. I grew up with MLP: FIM ever since it came out in 2010.

I remember crying a bit after watching the final episode in the final season. MLP G4 still holds dear to my heart, no matter what just like Minecraft: Story Mode, Steven Universe and all the old Disney Movies in the 1900s. And I still love and appreciate everything in both G4 and G5.

While I admit that G5 is very flawed and the writings could’ve been better. A lot of people complain about the story, the design of the characters, etc. and I can respect that, I understand the hate, and why they don’t like G5 and prefer G4 more.

But for me, I don’t hate it and I still enjoy it as much as other MLP fans do. I acknowledge its flaws and it may not be as good as the G4, but I still like G5. There is no right answer for which is better. Both G4 and G5 are flawed just like other shows and movies that are not perfect, and that’s okay. Plus, no one should judge or try to change their opinions and bully the fans because they enjoy watching MLP. Because it’s wrong to just take their happiness away from the things that make us happy.

We have different experiences from what we grew up with. We all should respect each other instead of just throwing so much hate and negative things at each other because of our different opinions and what we enjoy.

I’m not saying MLP deserves better to have better writing in the plot of the story, nor do we have to agree on everything. I’m saying that everyone, including new kids, should enjoy watching MLP, no matter what age and gender you are despite all the flaws, the changes and how silly MLP is. Because it makes all of us feel happy.

If you love them, good on you. If you don’t like them, that’s fine. If you don’t like G5 and prefer the old Generations of MLP more, that’s fine too. And I’m here to say that I enjoyed G5 as much as G4. And you should never stop loving something that makes you happy. I may not be a big fan of MLP anymore, but I’ll always cherish it.

about mac and dennis breakup podcast ep, i feel like we got set up by meg's absence. her being there is just a huge part of why the podcast works so well and we all know that she should've brought up many points about macdennis if she was there. so honestly the podcast ep wasn't even that bad considering she's always the one who encourages them to talk about macden.

i appreciate all the things charlie said, like this is the direction they took both characters for the rest of the show (s16 airing rn so there's smth to think about), saying mac was in love with dennis after rob saying mac was very straight in that ep, talking about how we got a glimpse of mac and dennis' intimate relationship and peeling away a curtain we haven't seen before, the "lets do it" after rob said they belonged together even tho idk if rob meant this about glenn and him, that despite everything they were close and belonged together or if it was about macdennis but still charlie's mind went somewhere.

and the glob self insert in macden is so fucking funny to me. rob comparing macden making up vs them making up irl and "i know what u need and u know what i need" okay? macden are roommates just like glob were, they fight like glob fights, it's soo funny.

a highlight also is when glenn says "a guy just wants to watch a movie" and rob replies "but not really. what you really want..." like he's giving glenn the opening to say smth funny or gay and then glenn choose to say "yeah i want someone to watch a movie with, a friend, a companion." but it did seem like rob was starting smth and glenn just replied with smth more tame.

there's so much i wish they talked about like dennis needing mac and not being able to function without him. it's not like i expected them to discuss macden's whole dynamic and where they're taking them now but. u know, this is THEE macden episode and it just feels a little disappointing and AGAIN, meg being there would've made a lot of difference.

We all liked the movie!

The animation was good, and the redone evolution sequences looked great. The 3D models of the Digimon made for the fight scenes looked really good, not at all like the ones we got in Tri.

Seeing the 02 Kids again was sweet, makes me sad they didn't show up in the Tri. movies. The characters felt authentic, true to their personalities, but still like they've grown up.

The Plot could be considered a little slow, and the climax a little short. Nonetheless both didn't feel off in the moment.

Opinion of our group — gets into Spoiler territory

Body Horror. Maybe, the final enemy Digimon has a form that could be considered scary.

Lov: I really liked it. With most of the movie spanning one day, with a lot of flashbacks to establish Lui's backstory, it feels a little like not much actually happened. Also with so much focus on Lui, we don't get as much development for the 02 Kids as one might have wanted. Them helping Lui through this crisis does resonate with the strong group theme around the 02 Kids. With the much better looking new 3D models, I really would have loved more action!! Shakkoumon and Silphymon deserved more screen time. Also Angewomon was done dirty, they could have had her de-evolve on purpose to form Silphymon, instead of her getting whacked moments after evolving.

Partner: While I liked it, I'm a big fan of action, but we didn't get much of that. The emotional story beats weren't bad, but caught me off guard and were not what I wanted out of the experience right now.

Sister: I liked it, but whether or not you'll like it probably depends on what you want out of a Digimon movie. It's less about the 02 Kids and more about Lui and what he learns from them. Similar to Hurricane Touchdown and Wallace. So, if you're looking for a story that is all about the 02 kids, this might not be for you. I guess it feels a bit like a long but good episode. There is stuff about lore that seems open-ended, which could be intentional or setting up for the future. Kizuna was similar in that regard. It was great to see the 02 Kids again, almost like we never left. Daisuke especially shone in this one. The many cameos were also much appreciated. Also! I liked that they discussed what separating so many people from their Digimon Partners would mean, not just considering their own group.

Brother: I liked it. No promo cards for us </3 — a little weird to have so little fighting and no new evolutions.
