he's literally the sweetest boy on earth

freminet never in his wildest dreams would have expected he'd end up being so close with you. whenever he meets someone new, they usually just ask for one of his siblings. not him; never him, unless there's a favor needed. 

which is why it's a surprise when you actively seek him out, actually putting in effort to stay in contact and form a bond with him. he's a little confused at first, and quite nervous, but he appreciates it all the same.

he finds himself quite enjoying your company...perhaps even a little too much. 

poor thing was practically reduced to tears when he realized how he felt about you. he had no idea what was going on, what to do. he was in a panic. when did he start feeling this way? he had no clue. what would happen if you found out? surely, you'd hate him. he couldn't let that happen. 

avoiding you seemed like the obvious solution at first. didn't help at all. in fact, this only made matters worse. his heart ached to be apart from you, and it was only so long before he gave up. 

he nearly had a stroke when you told him his feelings were reciprocated. his face flushed a bright pretty pink, and he just couldn't find a way to stop fumbling over his words.

the beginning stages of your relationship with him starts off very slow. you're the first person he's ever been with, let alone have feelings for, so all of this is very very new to him. 

he tries his best though, and gradually grows more comfortable with things over time. 

such a sweetheart, he'd gift you bouquets of romaritime flowers after a long day of exploring fontanian waters. 

will definitely take you diving if you're up for it. 

if you can't swim? that's cool; he'd be happy to teach you! freminet would be a very patient instructor, always sure to make sure you're safe and comfortable. 

as you know, he doesn't often show his true feelings in front of others, rather waiting until he's underwater before he can finally let things out. at first, you're no exception to this rule, but he does eventually start to feel more secure and comfortable coming to you with those types of things. you gotta be there with him through it all. 

his love language is gift-giving giving and i will never ever be convinced otherwise. he's always making small little gizmos and gadgets to give you, or collecting little trinkets and shells from his time in the sea. he doesn't really think you keep them, but he's never come back empty-handed.

acts of service is also a really big thing for him. he wants to be useful to you in any way that he can; he wants to feel wanted, he wants to feel important to you. 

while he does enjoy physical affection, he gets very nervous very fast. you'll have to be extra patient with him, and let him ease into things. 

once he's more used to it, however, all he does is crave your touch. even despite his embarrassment, he'll drop subtle little hints he wants attention from you. cutie patootie, he just adores holding your hand and snuggling up to you. 

his siblings love you. lyney definitely teases poor frem about it for a while, but he's genuinely happy that his little brother has found someone that makes him happy. same goes for lynette. 

i feel like he'd cover pers' eyes whenever you two lean in for a kiss; he can't possibly expose his little penguin pal to such indecency. 

he has one of the prettiest voices in the world you can't tell me he doesn't know how to sing. he's very shy about it, though you can't help but smile whenever you catch him humming a tune to himself while he tinkers. 

will maybe sing you lullabies. maybe.

oh my goodness im forgetting the pièce de résistance; his FRECKLES. you cant tell me it doesnt look like stars littered across his pretty face. kiss and trace patterns all over them, and he'll absolutely fold. 

his ideal idea of a date is...you guessed it. the beach. literally anything having to do with the sea. he'd build sandcastles with you, help you search for seashells, and perhaps even let you bury him in the sand. 

overall, he's a 5/5-star boyfriend. take care of him, and he'll be sure to take care of you.

imagine you’re a teacher at jujutsu high and a special grade sorcerer (because i enjoy feeling strong and this is a little self indulgent) (yall can choose if you want to be gojo’s classmate or nanami’s it doesn’t really impact anything)

Sukuna gets reincarnated without a vessel (dont ask me how it just happens ok) and to everyone’s surprise, he volunteers to be an instructor at jujutsu high

he says its to “make these pathetic kids somewhat decent sorcerers so they dont ruin the name of jujutsu”

for whatever reason, the higher ups assign him a spot among the teachers at the school

imagine your shock when this 1000 year old 7 foot tall motherfucker shows in the middle of your class to introduce himself as the new teacher

you’d heard about his whole situation but you didn’t expect him to show up in the middle of a lesson

you attempt to shoo him away but he doesn’t even move (i mean what did you expect really?) and you’re forced to end class early

weirdly enough he keeps a hand clamped over his stomach the entire exchange?? you chalk it down to a stomach ache or something (that night you do wonder if curses, or er, the king of curses, even get physical pains)

ok so before i get into the whole thing lemme just-

in my head, the tummy mouth has the humour of a middle school boy and the self control of the dog from ‘absolutely anything’

you see him the next day in the staff room

hes wearing a starched white shirt (it accommodates all his four arms and you question how he got one made in a single day) and a pair of fitted slacks, looking WAY too good for a curse

just as you internally celebrate that nothing weird happened THE SAME OLD DEMONIC VOICE booms a “DAMN BABY YOU LOOK FINE, CMON LEMME TAKE YA HOME”

“wha- I- Eh??? I’m sorry what the fuhck?!?” you sputter, eyes wide

Sukuna has leaped up from his chair, a mixture of embarrassment and murderous rage on his face

the next day you leave the top few buttons of your work shirt undone and put on some of the pheromone perfume you got as a gag gift in an (what you presume to be potentially successful) effort to rile Sukuna up (lets be real you think hes pretty damn hot too)

clap yourself on the back for that one bestie because the second you enter the staff room, Sukuna’s eyes nearly bulge out of his skull and the tummy mouth starts BARKING

and drooling apparently (how do you know? well maybe because the front of sukuna’s pristine white dress shirt is now sopping wet)

ive been having trouble getting out of bed lately.

its not that i cant, really, its just that i dont see the point. this morning i had the thought "i dont have a reason to get out of bed," and then qualified it with, "but im not, like, sad, i just dont have any morning obligations." however as the day went on and i felt the frustration of aimlessness mounting, the thought turned into "i dont have anything to live for," which sounds like a much more dire statement.

im Fine, or fine enough, but. i havent had any work projects in a while and all my personal projects arent sticking. there isnt really much to do Out in the world that doesnt come with the pressure of spending money, and i dont have anybody local to hang out with. despite throwing myself into various activities i feel like im hitting a plateau, and all that i have to do with my time is look at screens. (it doesnt help that since switching vocal instructors i feel like i havent been making Any progress �� she's a very nice lady but her teaching "style" if it even exists doesnt do anything for me, among other things.)

ive been applying to jobs but: im most qualified for design work, and that is what my portfolio is geared towards, and I Hate Design. my portfolio sucks which puts me in a cycle of applying to things i have no interest in but cant seem to claw myself out of. i need to overhaul it, or make another one, but every time i try its overwhelming!!!!!!!!!! all my shint sucks. i dont have the focus to sink my teeth into all the moving parts.

OK SO in my future au most of the boxbots kind of abondoned villainy in order to pursue their personal interests.

Shannon became an actress and ended up hosting her own TV show. She started by playing props with her shapeshifting ability in plays but quickly got tired of not being in the spotlight.

Raymond started a solo music career and formed a band where he's the only member (like in canon his band is called "Ray and The Monds") He also did some collabs with drupe's fashion line.

Jethro followed his dream of becoming a dancer and eventually became a dancing instructor so he could help others also pursue their passion for dance.

Mikayla became an author and wrote many fantasy fiction novels, she often goes to conventions to meet fans and sign autographs.

Ernesto used to be an elementary school teacher (this time for real), but he ended up taking another job as a librarian.

Like in canon Fink becomes a popular pro gamer and a streamer.

The only ones who stayed in the villain business are Darrell and Boxman Jr. Darrell took over boxmore and unlike Boxman he doesn't care about attacking the plaza. His only employees are himself and Boxman Jr. So he's pretty much stuck with the worst minion ever.

I know that in canon Ernesto, Mikayla and Jethro inherit the company but that just makes absolutely no sense in my opinion.

Ernesto’s good at business and paperwork but he doesnt strike me as “boss material”. He’s too shy and gets stepped on so easily, i dont think he got what it takes to run a massive business, especially an evil one. Out of everyone in the family, Jethro is the only one who actually left Boxmore to pursue his own dream, so I just cannot imagine him wanting to keep working at Boxmore. He deserves to become a dancer!! PLus he’s the least evil of the boxbot! he doesn’t have an evil bolt in him and he doesn’t even do anything at boxmore. And finally from what I've seen, Mikayla could not care less about boxmore. Like I get that she doesn't do much in the show so we don't really get a good look at her personnality and desires, but there is absolutely nothing in the show that hints at her wanting or being able to run the company.

Darrell is the ONLY logical option for a Boxmore successor. He already does literally everything at boxmore (except paperwork cause that's ernesto's job). He knows how to build machines and robots and he's the only one we actually see do it.

And I think it would be the PERFECT way to show Boxman's character developpment. He would go from being furious at Darrell for stealing his company to willingly giving it to him. That gesture would mean alot to them since Boxman clearly does care about his company, so him trusting Darrell with it would show that he finally started thinking highly of his son.

I know that the ending was a little rushed but I hate that Ernesto, Mikayla and Jethro don't have an ending that fits their individual character. I think they deserve to have something that actually fits them instead of having an ending that feels like it was given to them because the creators couldn't think of something else

stray notes from physics hw except im sick and studying in bed

okay so ive had a cold these past couple of days and its been fine it's been chill and i had a lab this morning and i went to the lib after to work on some things and i felt like i was dying lol. so i decided to leave and the walk back to my dorm helped a bit from j being outside and breathing in fresh air but then after i was in doors again i started feeling bad again, saaaurrrrr i took five hour long nap and then i had to do my physics hw bc it's due tonight. did not understand half of it and had to rewatch parts of lectures and stuff and im gonna be honest i dont think half of it was covered in lecture but whatever. i think physics is j smth that doesnt make sense to me, like i understand the concepts but have a hard to applying formulas to problems and actually being able to answer anything unless it's a super straight forward question abt a concept. idk. also rly struggling w a lab report and my instructor was not helpful so im going to ask a different guy in the department for help. hopefully i feel better soon bc i hate feeling sick and i cant j sit around and do nothing bc i dont want to fall behind and doing that is j going to stress me out but i also dont want to get other people sick. ahhh.

Heath Burns is a 2010-introduced and all-around character. Being a young fire elemental, Heath still is in the process of learning to control his powers and he suffers no less for it than his environment. Fear, excitement, or just a moment of absentmindedness is enough to pass his flames on to where he no longer controls them. It does not help that Heath himself is impulsive and impatient and has limited regard for others' wellbeing, meaning that his fire isn't even required for him to be the cause of chaos. Students and teachers alike are on guard if Heath is involved, which is necessary, but nonetheless hurts him because it means any effort to grow out of his habits is met with demoralizing skepticism. Heath likes to think of himself as the "guys want to be me, girls want to date me"-type, neither of which he actually is.

Freaky Flaw: I have a slight self-control issue, causing me to accidentally burst into flames at the worst possible times. My dad also says that my attention span is so short that, Hey! What was that?

He also considers as friends, and therefore spends time with them: Manny Taur, Slo Mo, Gil Webber, Hoodude Voodoo and Kjersti Trollson (online).

Despite the fact that Heath is a pain magnet and Hoodude(15) is the same, except that he transmits pain to other people close to him, Hoodude and Heath get together from time to time and get along well.

Kjersti Trollson(14), met Heath online, through the internet and through video games, and the two have been close ever since, despite Heath's surprise to discover that she was a girl, which is a delicate matter for Kjersti. Despite this, he respects his loudmouth personality and recognizes him as a skilled player. She considers him one of her best friends during her time at Monster High.

Slo Mo (17) doesn't seem to have much of a problem with Heath's antics

Manny (16) had no friends during his bully days, but today he considers Heath his best friend.

Buddies for Life

Mom’s always telling me to clean up the mess in my room, and I always answer that there’s a place for everything, and everything’s in its place. She says it’s only true when the said place is the floor. While tidying up, I found an old picture of summer camp. I don’t remember these holidays being exactly fun until Deuce came along. I guess it’s because I only ran into trouble. It was harder back then than it is today to control my flames. I don’t if it was being expelled from archery practice for setting the arrows on fire (I still shot the target with them) or maybe because I set the rope on fire while practicing knots, but I manage to scare away the instructors as well as the other campers from day one. I was wondering what to expect from the rest of my stay. That’s when the new guy walked into the cabin. He had snakes instead of hair and weird sunglasses attached to his head, so they didn’t fall off. He said, “Hey dude! Wanna give me a tour?”. From that moment on, Deuce and I became best buds. I did run into more trouble after that, but Deuce was still there once the smoke cleared out.

Jackson (16) doesn't have him as a friend, neither does Holt, just as a family member (I mean, Heath doesn't have them as friends either, but come on man)

Clawd (17) says that he doesn't have best friends directly, but he does mention that he usually spends more time with Heath because of different sports activities since they're both on most of the school teams

In the Monster High books, Heath is not related to the Jekylls/Hydes at all; however he does have an older sister, Harmony Burns.

In 2020, it was confirmed that Heath may be a part of the LGBTQIA+ community as Garrett on his Instagram account stated that he likes/flirts with anyone (HE’S PAN I SWEAR TO GOD) (I am projecting there)

Heath usually prefers to dress in a way that isn't too showy, thinking he might envy the other boys and students at Monster High, but he still likes to look cool (Even if that means using the same outfit in the entire series lmao)

During a recent Creative Conjuring Class, we were challenged with writing a personal essay exploring inner thoughts of self. Heads turned towards me instantly. No one thinks I can be serious; Ghouls laugh at me when I try and ask them out; teachers always blame me for pranks. Well, the truth is I am a very serious monster, with a lot of deep feelings. To set the record straight, so to speak, I decided to publish my essay (which got an A by the way). Breathe fire all you want, because I'm proud of who I am.

WHO AM I? The Monster Inside.

It's hard out there for a mildly funny prankster. Most monsters deal with the same questions of self – who am I? What do I want in un-life? Even some of my closest monsters wonder who I am, and to be honest, many times so do I. It leads me to ask, can one ever truly know the real monster inside? Or is un-life just a continuous hunt to find purpose to feed the soul? I know that one thing that truly feeds me is my passion for fun, but no one seems to get the humor in my punch lines. The hardest part is being tormented by the feeling that no monster will ever truly understand me.

Most times, I just feel completely misunderstood. On the outside, I'm Heath Burns – class clown and UHHHn-defeated prankster! It's an external personae – everyone has one. Don't get me wrong, I love to laugh and practical jokes really are my forte, but occasionally a monster just wants to mellow out and have a serious convo with the pretty ghoul from Biteology class. Unfortunately, most monsters don't let me express my sensitive side, because they expect a joke at every turn. Since I’m a pro, I always give my audience what they expect – but sometimes it can be a total buzz kill.

That being said, the Heath Burns lifestyle is one awesome ride! I am who I am, and that's all I want or need to be. Monsters may think they have my personality pegged, but they're dead wrong. I am strong, unique and totally the beast guy to have around when you’re in need of a gut busting laugh. But I'm also caring and creative – so don't forget you should never judge a clown by his worst joke.

Abbey and Heath to Slice Out the Competition

Winter sports season is finally in full swing now that the Monster X-Games championship is set to take place in less than a month's time. With student bodies Abbey Bominable and Heath Burns preparing to freeze out their opposition as a fierce duo this year, the competition is bound to heat up quickly.

Given Abbey's fervor for snowboarding, we imagine we'll see some wickedly good tricks on the monster pipe while Heath is expected to melt the ice during the Beast Trick round. Rumors are also spreading about a synchronized ski competition for the pair. How did the two get wrangled into sharing the competition? Gil says Heath practically burst into flames at the chance to spend a little one-on-one time with Abbey.

No matter what the reason for their matchup, monsters everywhere are screaming in excitement over the possibilities. These super athletes are sure to put on a creeperific show this winter.

Heath Burns: I have a burning crush on the coolest ghoul in school, but I'm not sure she knows I'm alive. I don't want to declare my love if she doesn't feel the same way. How can I get her to notice me?

Volume 1           

This would be the first time we see him (I think his actual presentation would be New Ghoual @ School, the first movie). He´s shown talking to background characters mostly, first year in high school maybe? Or second year of highchool but he just moved to Monster High, I say this because Draculaura calls him “new guy”.

He’s trying to give a good impression, but in a “hey guys I’m cool” way

He´s immature, at least compared to the other manster, he´s a year younger than the rest

He´s shown trying to flirt with Frankie one time (This does not work for him btw)

Draculaura flirts with him first, I would guess they have a date that went really wrong off camera, because in later episodes Draculaura is shown to really dislike him lol

He has a really big ego when it comes to sports, like, he truly believes he´s the best in them (I like to think that this because they´re one of the only things he´s always been good at, compared to his other classes). He even says that some sports shouldn’t be for girls (BY THE WAY, WHAT THE FUCK WITH THAT?? LIKE??? HUH??? THIS IS LITERALLY THE ONLY SUBJECT HE ACTS LIKE THIS)

Volume 2

He really wants to go with Draculaura to that prom, dance?? (I don’t know what’s it’s called honestly), but Draculaura doesn´t want to go with him. If you think about it, this may be because she was the only person who first approached him in a good way; so maybe Heath thought Draculaura wouldn't turn him down. The way he insists her isn't cool tho, and it takes calling Clawd to threaten him so he stops.

He isn´t angry with Clawd afterwards tho, Heath actually doesn´t appear in the “prom” later in the episode, so he really didn´t have anyone else to go with

He´s good friends with Gil! He helps him get the courage to tell his parents what he has with Lagoona.

He doesn't have the best relationship with Jackson?, he doesn't treat him badly in front of him, and he even is shown to repeatedly spend time with him, but it's quite clear that for some reason he doesn't want Jackson to be in Monster High (Heath only acts like this during this volume tho)

He’s included in the friend group of the ghouls, but I think this is mostly because he´s spends time with Deuce, Gil and Jackson, since the ghouls constantly don’t want to spend time with him

By the way, this is important to me, but Heath has only been shown to be attracted to the physical appearance of people, and tends to act quickly on those feelings, trying to flirt with the background girls (They don’t like him tho). I like to think he’s in some part of the aromantic spectrum because of this (Demiro maybe?)

Volume 3

He’s shown spending waaaayy more time with Manny ( :/ )

The times he's rude with others it’s really because he's like really honest. This guy does not realize that what he is saying is rude to others and may hurt them

He flirts with Abbey like a lot, and Abbey is shown to at least find him funny

Saying this again, but every time he develops a short crush with a girl its purely a physical attraction and not a romantic one, I think the fisrt time he actually wants to be in a more serious thing is whith Abbey, but he also takes  a lot of time to even realize this

All of his friends would blame him for any type of fire related accident, like they wouldn’t even think about it

He really helps Frankie in that New Year episode where she stops time, like totally platonic, friend helping another friend thing

HE’S A GAMER, I KNOW THIS IS SAID BEFORE IN THE WIKI PART, BUT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS IS SHOWN IN THE SERIES

He really cares about his friends lives (yes, I am talking about the ghouls in this), and he tries to warn them thay they could be in danger, but literally nobody takes him seriously

Talking about Hoodude he’s shown to be rude with him in a singular episode, but I suppose he apologized afterwards. Since later in the volume they’re shown to be on good terms and Heath does not get angry with him if he accidentally hurts him

When he goes to that party he doesn’t go with a formal outfit or anything, he just shows up with his normal everyday outfit, this thing he does it in almost every single party episode btw. He’s shown dancing with Jinafire btw!

Volume 6

He appears three times literally

In the arc of the circus thingy, he appears in the background with a different t-shirt and cooking some sausages with a stick, he literally doesn’t do anything more

And the other time he appears it’s when he some books fall on top of him when he’s searching for something in his locker

Why do ghouls fall in love?:

Ok this doesn't make sense, but Ghoulia's computer bug makes her "perfect match" appear as Heath

HE IS SO HAPPY THAT GHOULIA IS SUPPOSEDLY HIS PERFECT MATCH; he goes and tells some friends at lunch, Gil and Lagoona tell him not to be crazy and to take the date more calmly and Heath tells them "but I'm her perfect partner, right? I should act like always". Deuce seems interested in seeing how Heath treats this situation, but more in a way of waiting for Heath to fuck up

He accidentally burned a book while trying to flirt Ghoulia :(

He went to look for Ghoulia to hang out with her I guess (inconvenient at the moment but it's not his fault)

Heath listens to the radio show of Cupid thing but it’s because they are throwing more “hard” tips because Abbey is the one who is talking. He was in the library with Ghoulia to accompany her, he accidentally burned a book again for wanting to give it to Ghoulia

Ghoulia wasn't very happy with the things they tried so she wants to tell him to stop this thing they were doing later

Heath ends their thingy with Ghoulia first, seeing that a serious relationship is not for him (and that it wasn't working out), but he still asks Ghoulia if she doesn't get mad about this or anything, because she still worries about their friendship. Ghoulia tells him that there is no problem, Heath then goes to go with flirt again with the girls

He’s back in those water tanks from attraction parks

Why is he so egocentric in this?? He just told this skeleton guy to use the muscles when he clearly doesn't have them (mocking him) and telling Howleen that girls can't throw? What the hell? He didn’t act like since Volume 1

Friday Night Frights

They lost the thing? I don’t remember right now. Manny almost kills him because he pushes him. Heath is really sad about their team losing. He's disappointed when Clawd says he's canceling the next season of the sport

He’s watching at that thing to see who could make the new players for the team

He doesn't pay much attention when a werewolf says that a girl shouldn't be teaching guys about the sport, but he does laugh at another's guy joke about the same thing

Surprised by Lagoona's abilities!

He doesn't say anything to Lagoona when she says he wants to join the team, but he seems confused. When Frankie asks why Manny doesn't want to play with girls, Heath replies "because it's a man's sport, it's sacred! It's tradition."

Manny says that they are not going to make the team then, Heath goes along with the idea, and he says "well see ya! Wouldn't wanna be ya!" And then if  tells them good luck putting together a team without men

He went to see (along with Clawd and Manny) the first tournament of the season, obviously to make fun of the ghouls; he’s carrying a camera to record them lol

He laughs at the Ghouls the next day (along with literally all the other guys)

Do I have to keep saying that he continues to make fun of the girls along with Manny? He’s still carrying the camera by the way. Operetta tells them to like, get lost or something

He went to watch the games together with Manny, obviously to record when the girls lost, but when he sees that the girls are using other strategies and are going ahead pf the other team, he is surprised and applauds them (puts the camera down)

He doesn’t appear in the next game

In the next game he’s cheering them on with the rest of the school

Heath and Manny apologize to the girls, admitting they were jerks

He’s was talking to Rochelle about the matches I guess :3

Next game/final game he’s on the cheer squad to cheer them on :3 (He accidentally burns the pompom)

He was about to kill the gargoyles for/because of the shield (I don’t remember what this refers to)

He was going to record them when they were celebrating, Manny then pushes him and Heath ends up crashing into Clawd

He was going to laugh at the pumpkins set as a threat, inadvertently activating the trap. Abbey shields him from being hurt and Heath thanks her.

They make fun of him (Manny and the rest of random guys) because Abbey saved him??? He gets really sad about this. Especially because the first one who laughs at him is Manny

In the Ms. Bloodgood room he sits next to Frankie, separated from Manny

He seems happy or interested with the meeting for Halloween that Cleo organizes

He tries to help Abbey not to drop a book on her head, it goes wrong and he ends up colliding with the locker, the book falls on his head and he sets it on fire. ABBEY AND LAGGONA DON'T EVEN ASK HIM IF IHE’S OKAY?? UH????? I GUESS??????

He takes some time to even recognize the secret greeting for the thing that Cleo is organizing, frustrating (I think) Clawd and ending up saying out loud what the greeting was for. He ends up crashing into another locker

He hides with Manny in a place of dishes/pots, when he sees that they weren't caught he gets excited and sets himself on fire, I think it's Manny who ends up breaking the place because Heath doesn't move from where he was sitting

Confused when he joins the rest to see that they are accusing Holt

He does not put up much resistance for this human party idea, he seems surprised actually

He wants to dance with Abbey at the party but he couldn’t.

He doesn't even want to be close to that blonde girl, he makes a scared face when she talks to him

When eating a spicy food (Abbey stops him before, telling him that they are too spicy, but he eats it anyway, saying that he was going to resist) he doesn't resist?? I guess?? For comedy factor?? He sets himself on fire, revealing that he is indeed a monster and inadvertently so are his friends. Abbey tries to put it out but Heath keeps running until he can put out the fire with a bucket of water.

Seems ready to fight with the humans when discovered

He tries to "protect" Abbey when they have to escape from the police, but while running he slips on a puddle and Abbey ends up helping him

He's really happy about the things that Abbey can do. When he sees that the ice statue is going to fall on top of him, he throws a ball of fire at it to melt it (I think it's one of the few times he does something like that?) He ends up going out dancing with Abbey thanks to this

Scaris City of frights:

Had a turn at the fashion show that Clawdeen organized at school, He’s so excited to participate (along with Deuce and Clawd)

Toralei's (fucking asshole) wants to humiliate Clawdeen (and Heath) changing the outfit he had to wear for the show

He is quite nervous about going out with the dress, he still does what he can (as he himself says) to wear it

Heath helps Ghoulia carry her scooter, which he has a hard time carrying, but manages in the end. Clawd and Deuce laugh at him for this??

He is so happy to be able to spend time with Deuce and Clawd! He literally says that "there is no better fun than with friends" and wants to high-five Deuce and Clawd, they look at him confused/disgusted and leave him standing there. Heath is confused as to why they left him hanging/ignored.

Heath tells Clawd that well, Draculaura is in the city of love, and in his case he would be jealous (Heath is always this very sincere without really wanting to hurt his friends feelings) he asks for a high five back to Clawd, and Deuce freeze him for this (Since Clawd gets sad and Heath doesn’t notices)

He’s so glad that for once he’s told that he was right about something. He literally tells Clawd not to worry, that it's not going to happen like last time (Valentine) and that Draculaura wouldn't left him for another dude.

He doesn't seem very convinced that Clawd is going to ask Cupid for help.

Clawd just says thanks to Deuce for going with him to Scaris. He then SARCASTICALLY says thanks to Heath for coming, literally telling him afterwards "I didn't want you to come though" (I think at least that what he says in Spanish)

Heath tells him that he wouldn't miss an opportunity to skip school. I KNOW HE’S IGNORING THE OTHER COMMENT I KNOW; that or he doesn’t understand sarcasm?

He was almost killed by a gargoyle on the airplane

The way he treats Nie Mingjue (the martial arts and saber instructor) is a mix of how he treats Lan Wangji and Lan Qiren in canon. He flirts and teases and tries to get kicked out and Nie Mingjue keeps him just to outstubborn him and show him his playground bully bullshit wont work on him. Wei Wuxian's parents are alive but he left them to rogue cultivate on his own and make his own name with his inventions and talisman. How they fall in love, have sex and marry is up to you as are the ages. I'd just like for Nie Mingjue to be older, if only by a few years. Feel free to add anything to the plot!

Oh and Wei Wuxian definitely calls him "A-Jue" because I am a sucker for this. What Nie Mingjue calls him is up to you!

i remember reading a fic once quite some time ago (for the life of me i cannot find it or remember what it was called or who it was by) where post-reconciliation mav and bradley need to go somewhere in kind of an emergency and mav gets into the drivers' seat of the bronco. and bradley is like woah. hold on. i thought mom always said you couldn't drive??? and mav is like, no, she said i shouldn't drive, which is Different (tm). and then proceeds to give bradley the most harrowing ten minutes of his life. and boy if that doesnt summarize my thoughts on mav's ability to drive, then tbh, what does 😅

no but seriously. he does probably drive kind of terrible. not like, unsafely, or in a way that is like. Actively Harming people or something, but if you are a passenger in a car maverick is driving then you are aware of the 'oh shit' handles and you are using them. he's always liked to go fast and he's always felt Pretty Confident in his own reaction times and ability to maneuver and he is not going to prioritize a few minor traffic laws over Doing What He Wants.

also, he taught himself how to drive when he was a teenager because no one else was doing it, probably in a vehicle owned by a foster parent whose car he was not authorized to be driving and he definitely got into trouble for this and paid for it later. due to this, he didn't actually get his license until much later than that- after meeting goose, in fact. my personal favorite take is that goose had to help mav with actually getting his license (stuff like when to signal and when to check your mirrors for merging and what types of turns/parking/etc the instructor was going to ask him to perform during the driver's test), though mav new how to drive physically just from getting into a car and figuring that shit out. i like to headcanon that mav had a permit for his motorcycle before this, though i'm not sure that it makes much sense realistically, because i know that most states these days require you to have a driver's license before you can even consider having a motorcycle permit (let ALONE a motorcycle license), but hey, i don't really know how to find out about the motorcycle permit laws in the late 70's in california or wherever they were at the time, so. i have taken creative liberty, lol

hands down, in my opinion, mav is a physical person. he spent the majority of his childhood without it, and he gained somewhat of an aversion to it when he was young. outside of the context of the occasional romantic escapade, he did not experience any physical contact after his mother passed that wasn't negative, except for a few nice foster families that he didn't have the blessing of staying with, and even then, those are bittersweet memories, because they were brief and padded by worse things, and it's a little melancholy to think of what ~could have been~. so, admittedly, he's relatively opposed to the idea of physical affection of any sort by the time he meets goose. in fact, he's pretty much opposed to all affection by the time he meets goose. it's what defines their initial meeting and their first few flights together. mav is determined to shake goose off of his tail, to fly so fast that he loses him somehow, even though they're strapped into the same aircraft. he's cynical and certain that the entire world is out to get him, and goose is just the opposite.

goose is a sling-an-arm-around-your-shoulder, sit-on-the-couch-leg-to-leg-close with your friends, ruffle your hair in a slightly-annoying-but-also-endearing way as a greeting, hug-you-tight-before-you-say-goodbye-even-if-we're-both-men-and-it's-the-80s kind of guy. it's just another thing that initially makes mav raise his hackles and lash out. it's not because mav is diametrically opposed to this kind of affection. in fact, arguably, he craves it, and he's never had it, and physical touch is one of his primary love languages (platonically and otherwise). but goose is persistent and kind and fierce, and he's the kind of guy to find a lost kitten on the side of the road and decide right then that he's keeping that cat forever, no matter how much work it is, without even considering what it's like to raise a cat- only in the context of goose's life, the cat is Maverick and the rest is history. goose breaks down maverick's trust issues and fear and loneliness slowly and determinedly by just being himself and treating mav how he would want to be treated because that is his nature, and because he doesn't give up. mav learns to be a good friend and a dedicated member of a ~family~ from goose, and it's because mav already is a good person who has love to give, and goose is the first person to encourage and not punish him for it.

in the context of life, even after everything- after goose dies, through bradley's childhood and teenage years, through his developing friendship with the flyboys and being woven continuously into the family by carole and later the others as well, even after losing bradley, after meeting hondo- mav remains a tactile person. it's one of his primary ways of showing affection. you can see this in the movies- how often he and goose sling an arm around each other, grab each other's shoulders or arms, the way he sits with his arm around carole in the diner, the hug to ice at the end. and in tgm, too; in the hug for sarah and for ice, the hand on ice's leg and the laying with penny and talking and the (of course!!) multiple hugs to bradley at the end. it goes both ways, too; it's one of the more important things that the others can do for mav, that he'll process and understand.

plus, mav can find a way to misinterpret or talk himself out of even the most direct affection/compliment/etc, but he will understand a hug, or a hand on his shoulder. it's the primary thing that used to calm him down in the midst of a panic attack or after a nightmare, the first thing he'd reach for in greeting getting home off a deployment, the primary language that he speaks in relationships. in a way, he passed this along to bradley, too, by participating in making the bradshaw-and-company family so tactile, though perhaps it's a little less natural for bradley due to his own years of self isolation. but he was always sure to make certain bradley knew he was loved, in words and in actions. he never wanted bradley to grow up unsure of such affection, like he himself did.

there's a long span of time when mav is alone, for the most part. after bradley leaves, before the mission. he has the flyboys, but they are all scattered and confined to just letters and phone calls most of the time. more consistently, he has ice, but there is the distance and the lack of postings nearby and the increasing business of his wingman's life as he is moving upward through the ranks and meeting and marrying sarah and having kids. there is hondo, with whom he becomes very close, but hondo is not the most physically affectionate person, and mav knows how to respect others' boundaries in that regard. it's not until post-mission and post-reconciliation that he is fully able to unpack his ways of thinking and loving, to begin living a life where he gets to love and be loved consistently again.

with bradley, with the daggers, in his rekindled friendship/brotherhood with the other flyboys, many of whom are retired or moved on to other careers but who are happy to catch back up with the little found family they'd built over the years. maverick is a hang-off-your-shoulder-why-he-tells-you-a-story, hugs-in-greeting-and-goodbyes, rest-a-hand-on-your-arm-or-at-your-back, squeeze-your-hand kind of person, because he always has been, and also because it's the love language that makes sense to him, that he's always known how to speak and understand, that he learned from the other half of the single most influential relationship of any context (other than being a parental figure to bradley but that is Different) he's ever experienced, the one that still defines so much of his adult life even three plus decades later. it works out very well for bradley, who is desperately touch starved after fifteen years of self-isolation, and who is still reveling in the concept that it turns out mav loved him the entire time and the whole mess was of his own creation, and lives in disbelief of that love and affection all the time. he can overthink and twist-into-anxiety anything that mav says, just about, but there's only one way to interpret a hug. he and mav have that in common- as it turns out, much to his chagrin and also his comfort, they have a lot of these things in common, after all.

⇢ 13. nickname headcanon

mav is not necessarily the type to give new nicknames to people he knows, but he is absolutely the type to use people's nicknames. always ice, never iceman and almost never tom, usually sli instead of slider and never ron, care instead of carole. he's full of even more nicknames for bradley, though, and that came from goose, actually- goose was absolutely the originator of all the nicknames and terms of endearment. it was honey and hotshot and kaz (a nickname for ice that ice "hates" but does in fact allow with minimal glaring). goose is the creator of half the names that bradley gets- baby goose and brads and gosling. mav just keeps using them, and more of them, of his own creation, eventually sneak into his vocabulary, because he learned how to love and be loved via goose, initially, at one of the lowest points in his life, during the time that he was still formatively figuring out how to transition from a child to an adult, and their friendship shaped him forever. inadvertently, it means goose helped to shape bradley, too- since mav was there, and goose didn't get to be.

as far being called nicknames, he's alright with that. as long as he knows that it doesn't come from a place of making fun of him, or of distaste. if he senses that its in good fun or as an expression of friendship/good faith/etc, he'll lean into it. slider has long since bullied him with things like shortstack and trouble, for example, and he's allowed it. if it were a stranger and the tone were just a little different, well, he's started fights over much less. besides, mav is a nicknames sort of person, when it comes to his identity. he's never felt much like peter. "pete" was a scared, skinny kid with no designs on his own future, shuffled around with little to no positive experiences, defined by negative experiences and being duke mitchell's kid, the one who got thrown out of the academy and beat up in school and locked in the closet at the boys' home and chased out the front door of a foster home or two. he never did like pete very much.

maverick, though it started as an insult-turned-callsign-that-stuck, is dangerous and confident and sure of himself, capable and strong and cool. maverick is something that he became on purpose, that gave him agency. he pushed himself to become maverick and make the insult something of his own, to finally take control of his own narrative, because he couldn't control what people said but he could control what it meant- and that's been the name he prefers for a very long time now. very few people in the movies- even of the people who are civilians and not fellow officers- refer to him as pete. he is almost exclusively maverick or mav, and that is 100% by his preference.

⇢ 20. relationship with/thoughts on: goose

goose is and always will be mav's brother.

i read a post recently about how we as readers/writers/etc can do a disservice to the different kinds of platonic love and relationships that exist by trying to shoehorn all platonic relationships into a "they're siblings!!" archetype when there are so many other options out there, and i 100% agree with that- so i want to make it clear that when i say mav and goose were brothers, i mean that intentionally. mav and ice were best friends, ride-or-die, dedicated and as close to each other as anything, but goose was mav's brother in all but blood, maybe even moreso than if they had shared dna. goose was genuinely the first person in the context of mav's adult life (and by that i mean after he finally got into the navy, which to him is the defining line between his ~childhood~ and adulthood) to treat him with respect and love and kindness. mav learned much of what he knew about life and relationships and how to express and understand himself through goose, his older brother, the one who swooped in to protect him and teach him and stick by him, and he didn't even have the privilege of knowing goose that long- as we know. they met and they fell into their relationship fast. it took a while for mav to warm up to goose, of course- but setting even that aside.

and, well, we all know how mav feels about goose, these days. i know someone, in real life, who did lose a sibling when they were both young, and it really is much the same thing. goose still defines a lot of the things about mav, and the memories of him and their time together are still some of maverick's favorite. he still looks at something and thinks "goose would love that", he still has an experience and wishes he could tell nick about it, he still lives his life with the concept of goose right there by his side, even though the man has been gone for thirty some odd years. of course everyone handles grief and loss differently, but it makes me think of the experiences and people i have seen and encountered/read about who have lost siblings, too- the permanence of brotherhood, even in the wake of the impermanence of life.

You wont find any argument here, in fact i would go as far to say most media nowadays suffer from this exact issue. But the real crux of the problem seems to lie in the lack of reader discernment. I dont know if its a subconscious or willful failure to understand "nuance", but its apparently lost to an audience that is obsessed with labeling/compartmentalizing everyone and everything to the point where they're essentially reducing characters (even actual people) to a single trope and judging them entirely on that when there are so many parts to a whole...feels bad man.

this is one of my biggest gripes- like i said on my meta, there are DEF some puritanical vibes behind the Mei Mei hate- its starting to feel insidiously sexist with the way the fandom is deadset on villainizing her because she doesnt "conform" within the norms of whats "good", and to a larger extent "good woman".

She isnt that maternal, nurturing, self sacrificial woman that reeks of patriarchal ideals therefore she must be bad.

She prioritizes money and considers a persons worth based on what benefit they bring to her as if this is the most unnatural way to be (thats the sad truth!) therefore she is greedy and selfish.

She has a "weird" relationship with her brother because their level of closeness makes them uncomfortable and therefore predatory.

And whats so funny to me is Mei Mei is- for all intents and purposes, a MERCENARY. She's not a teacher, shes not an instructor- she is a contract sorcerer for hire so money being a priority for her would be painfully obvious?? Shes not responsible for the students nor aligns herself with the politics of the jujutsu world- shes looks out for herself/get paid and this makes her evil?? Also cant help think that theres a certain type of person who feels threatened by a overly confident and shameless woman as a personal attack on themselves/their ideals and feels compelled to tear them down by any means possible, but maybe thats just me.

Idk, maybe it cant be helped when they see Nanami (whom are essentially foils of each other) willing forgo money and put his life on the line for the students but this still doesnt make her "evil" and so reductionist btw 🙄.

yk what common media trope i HATE as a dancer. when a character is like i have zero knowledge of ballroom dance and their dance partner says don't worry i'll help you! they go on the dance floor and the only instructions the partner gives is "move to the beat" or "feel the music" or even just counting 123. the beat doesnt tell me where my feet are supposed to go! if i was given an across the floor routine by a dance instructor and they expected me to replicate it by only saying "feel the music" well id ask if they felt the chair after i threw it at them

I definitely agree with your answer about Yonghee!! I’m not surprised he’s different on the show given it’s a totally different environment, I was just more surprised to see how flirty he can be! But yeah it’s a huge difference in environment bc he was literally a week away from leaving for the military when he was first in Youngjay’s videos and was in the closet so I def see how it can be easier to be more sexual there when there’s no expectations vs when you’re trying to actually date someone (AND you’re the youngest and the guy you like seems to take some issue with your age gap, seriously everyone seems bothered by it except Yonghee lmao). Plus there’s kind of an expectation on Youngjay’s channel that there will be flirting anyway so it’s easy bc you know it’s expected of you and the viewers and he will have fun with it. But I really enjoyed those videos they were so fun. Idk if Yonghee can do taekwondo at all anymore but it’d be cool to see him go back and do more (I think maybe he can bc didn’t he say he stopped competing at 20 but one of the videos was from after he was discharged, I also feel like he would’ve put off going to the military if he was still able to compete at that point). i enjoyed them so much anon!! and you're right, its so fun to see him in his natural environment. perhaps that even had something to do with it, bc he was doing something he knows and enjoys and has confidence in so he can be a lot more relaxed compared to in the house which is a new environment. but as a yonghee stan, i just love seeing him in his element, doing something he enjoys and wow he is so good at it. i wont begin to act like i know anything about taekwondo, but the moment he stretched into full splits and did kicks that high, i was just in awe. and it does break my heart that he can't continue doing doing what he loves, but if those later videos were filmed more recently, it might just be the case that his injury stops him from competing and doing the sport professionally but not from doing it in general. plus he said he'd taught kids before and he was a great instructor in the video so thats always an option for him.

i do hope we get to see more of yonghee if not on dates then just hanging out and making friends bc he seems like such a genuinely nice and kind hearted person and i hope he can kind of get out of the seonwoo tunnel vision headspace enough to even just start forming friendships with others bc i just wanna see his personality shine. and i think removing the pressure of these interactions are with the intent to start a relationship might help him to be more fun and carefree bc the age gap does seem to be playing on his mind a lot so maybe he's trying to counteract that by acting more mature and serious, so people will take him seriously, but i think he has so much natural charm he doesn't need to worry about that, and i hope hyungjin telling him that he doesnt need to stress will help him relax more. idk what else to say, he's just so loveable and endearing to me and i just want more of him, and im glad us yonghee stans can unite!!
