Fun thing I learned today: The reason the original Latin translation of the Kahun fragment has Set tell Horus: “bis pulchrae sunt nates tuae” (meaning "twice beautiful are your buttocks")—which is kind of a weird sentence, grammatically it just doesn't seem to make much sense—is because originally the 𓅱𓏭 ending on the adjective that the original Egyptian used meant "twice." But, by Middle Egyptian times, when the fragment was written, it had lost that original dual meaning, and was more of a generic exclamation. So, nfrwy pḥwy.ky means something more like: “How beautiful are your two buttocks!” Which makes much more sense grammatically.

So, no, Set did not hit on Horus with a grammatically confused way of saying “nice ass” in the first sentence of the Kahun fragment that was preserved well enough to be read. hey, love! posts may have been hit with community labels for mature content (as i just discovered that forfeit got labeled T^T) so if you haven't changed these on desktop/mobile settings, you can't see posts with community labels at all.

they are all on the Hide column by default, so anything labeled won't even exist for you. change them to your liking, then posts should start showing again.

for any writers that write 18+ fics, please let your readers know to change these settings to at least show/blur the last one just in case your fics get suddenly labeled (or else they literally won't be able to see your works, even if tagged correctly and/or reblogged.)

Didn’t get much sleep yesterday and got worn down noticeably from handling the dog. Woke up too early just now bc I somehow forgot to put one earplug in and not the other, and I see now that all this is why the emotional regulation I was enjoying for the past week or so is shot all of a sudden. I’m going to have to take extra time to rest, which I didn’t want to do, since that would be acting like I was still burnt out, which would in turn bum me out. But now I understand that’s simply what I need to do now so it’s fine ☺️
