You got any rise ocs ? Love to see them ^-^
Omg thx for asking, I do actually!! If you go further down my page, I draw her human form for a fanfic I really love. I don’t have a name for her yet bc names are hard :/ BUT! I do have a little backstory for her
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She is a battle nexus champion, but she occasionally works as a debt collector of some sorts for big mama. She hates getting her hands dirty so she uses magic claws as weapons. You can’t see it bc of the angle her hand is in, but in her glove, there’s an oval shaped gem that creates the claws for its user. If she has the gloves off, she can’t create those claws.
She loves magic! It’s so fascinating to her and she wants to study hard to be the very best sorcerer there is, but due to some unconventional events she’s got a bad rep at witch town, so she tends to steal magical artifacts when she’s out.
The reason she always goes back to big mama and her battle nexus is bc she’s a black cat, which isn’t bad at all but her power is probability control. She can manipulate fortune AND misfortune, but she struggles to control her magic which ends up inconveniencing to even hurting others around her. She can steal peoples luck as well to give her an upper hand in battle, which is why her eyes can glow a bright yellow.
For a cat with bad luck, there really isn’t any option for her but to go back to the place that accepts her even if it’s for their entertainment.
Now she isn’t the strongest physically, so she relies on her speed, magic and tools to win battles. She uses Mantis styled fighting techniques in hand to hand combat, but a flaw she has when fighting is that she puts too much focus on one thing she forgets about her surroundings which could potentially hurt her or allies.
Id like to believe she’s quiet but when she gets to know you, she gets very chatty, a bit snarky, overzealous, and pretty quick witted. She always has a trick up her sleeve…she has a lot of things up there. Very mischievous, sometimes can go too far with her tricks. Lowkey a bit condescending, but she chill ig.
She’s def a morally gray character, a bit chaotic neutral, the kind that does good or bad stuff for her benefit and maybe her friends too.
She’s known big mama since she was a kitten, so she knows her way around battle nexus ( may or may not be big mamas fav ).
She was born as a twin, her sister being a white haired kitten, both parents had white fur so u see where this is going. Kinda the black sheep in the family, she’s always causing trouble but she means well, her sister is the complete opposite tho. Has the power cause luck and take misfortune away, her sister became the favorite but she got a nasty personality. They always budded heads and fought but eventually her sister and her friends provoked her to the point she scratched her sister in the face out of self defense, the parents got mad and tried to declaw her but she ran away.
Now idk where in time I would like her to meet the turtles and April, but I have a story in my head inspired by some fanfic I read.
So she gets called into big mamas office for a new assignment, capture the turtles alive and bring them to her. Usually when she out she doesn’t have the authorization to bring her targets to the hotel, just to collect and come back. Even if she did, I’d be taken care of by goons, not big mama personally, so she’ll def recognize that it’s a big job if big mama is telling her this personally.
So she conducts research on the turtles but stalking them pretty much and finds out they’re friends with a girl named April O’Neil, so she uses a cloaking choker to enroll at her school and befriend April. It works and eventually, the turtles do some stupid shit and end up getting “found out” by her and April.
Slowly they all become friends (Leo has his suspicions) and eventually she gets invited to the lair by Mikey. She becomes the closest to him not only bc he’s the most social, but he has great magical potential, and she’s intrigued.
Once she gains all of their trust (may take a while) she eventually calls all big mamas goons to their lair and captures them, but at this point, she knows they’re actually good people and not the usual targets she gets assigned to, so after an inner battle with herself, she caves and lets them go, despite the fear in her veins at the thought of big mamas wrath.
I don’t wanna spoil TOO much abt this even tho I most definitely did💀
I wanna write abt her story and her relationship with the turtles and April (specifically one turt in particular;) idk I’m open to any suggestions and as always, sorry if this is a bit all over the place :))

Give me your strong opinions/headcanons on Harley Quinn❤️🖤
Transgender
had a pretty intense and genuinely embarrassing truecrime girly phase through like her late teens/college. probably would have started a podcast if shed had the ability at the time.
i think that and her desire to pursue a career in psychiatry/work at arkham sorta stem from this same root interest in like understanding why certain people commit violent crimes which was well-intended but ultimately came from a kind of ableist place. like she always sympathized really heavily with the people in her care but also like subconsciously saw a lot of them as these poor lost little lambs that needed her help rather than full complex human beings and thats what kinda fucked her in the end.
generally an empathetic person. tends to take on other peoples burdens. sometimes to an unhealthy degree.
i think her and bruce actually have a lot in common in that regard and when theyre not actively at odds they vibe p well for that and other reasons. also shes just the sort of person whos rly easy to get along with. she may one of if not the only rogue who none of the others rly has any lasting beef with.
bi and poly (this is basically canon anyway). i feel like some ppl tend to act as if shes only ever dated the joker and pamela but i def think shes been in and out of a lot of relationships over the years, some better than others.
she has a bad habit of 1) finding kinda messed up power dynamics a lil sexy and 2) harboring some serious "i can fix them" energy when it comes to her more obviously misguided crushes. she likes the security of a partner who she feels like will take care of her but who still relies on her emotionally and unfortunately some people use that to take advantage.
i dont know if she would necessarily consciously identify as a Femme but like. she soo is.
this is like more related to my specific dyke scarecrow au than anything canon but i see them as old exes. in true dyke fashion, they have stayed good friends in spite of the breakup. take this one or leave it but either way i like the two of them as besties soo much.
has always struggled with this impulse towards violence especially when shes feeling restless or manic. (i say struggled but shes probably having a blast with it now) i think in the past she was very self conscious about this (especially when she was newly out and trying very hard to be perceived as feminine) and tried very hard to present herself as someone self contained and in control. for better or for worse, shes much happier when shes allowed to be a force of chaos.
lowkey had a weeb phase. still very much loves j-fashion and magical girl anime. plays some video games but largely prefers the feel of a big clunky cabinet arcade game over a home console. its the buttons, the lights, the ability to loudly and dramatically tip the whole thing over if youre mad enough about losing. has watched mlp. fav is pinkie pie. obviously.
there is an aspect of her like hyper girly almost childish persona which is kind of a performance. like. it is her to a degree, but its also kind of a coping mechanism. almost like a form of drag, shes leaning into the stereotype to get a rise out of people or to protect herself. sometimes both at once. the few people who really know her well enough will start to notice little tells to differentiate when shes really feeling the vibe and when shes deliberately putting on a show.
has definitely given herself a shit haircut/dye job while in a depression spiral.
generally its just like. she feels so so so so so much all the time like oh my god make it stop for two seconds.
theres probs more but this is what i feel certain of in this moment ✌️

Personally I think the lowest point of the entire series was 'breezy' like I kind of got what they were going for but it implied lsp pressured Finn into sleeping with her and then his disability is magically cured like WHAT a mess. They did fix it later and everything, but no boring side episode came close to how mad that one made me. And AT never felt the same after with the new magic lore...I still liked the ending but there was def a change
ok well you’re wrong, but that episode does make me deeply uncomfortable to watch (which doesn’t mean it’s bad!) and I understand why it’s so controversial, so I was expecting someone to say this sooner or later. I will attempt to address all your concerns now:
first of all, I don’t see how lsp sexually assaulting finn is remotely a bad writing decision, since lsp’s entire character revolves around her being a horrible, entitled, selfish person who does what she wants at the expense of the people around her, and the idea that she wouldn’t rape (or murder) despite her established value system is weird because like. of course she would?? the one episode where she even seems to consider being a good person is in “princess day,” and it’s pretty clear she doesn’t actually care about being a good person, but whether she can be perceived as a good person. she is deeply shallow, and since it’s obvious that finn doesn’t even have the language to express his discomfort with what she did to him, she has no qualms about taking advantage of him for her own gain. I know this is probably the most fucked up thing she does in the whole series, so a lot of people take issue with it because yknow. sexually assaulting our protagonist without compunction is such a shockingly reprehensible thing for a character to do, but it’s actually very consistent with her character, and an important part of the episode and of finn’s arc that should not be ignored.
secondly, the implications, possibilities, and ramifications of magic has been a theme since the very beginning of the show, and expanding on that lore isn’t contradictory to anything previously established, especially considering finn as our pov character has a very limited scope into the nature of his world. the idea that his magical injury that he got from a magical curse is healed with magic is not remotely unreasonable. especially considering that it is, in fact, a metaphor.
when finn (first) loses an arm, it specifically represents his father’s abandonment. he feels like a piece of him is missing. it’s why he can’t just use a prosthetic, even though pb could obviously make him one in her sleep. after martin escapes from the citadel, finn goes through a grieving process, first in denial, then anger and bargaining (“baby’s building a tower into space”), and in this episode, he’s experiencing depression. he copes with his depression through self-harm, but it doesn’t actually seem like self-harm because asking girls for a quick peck on the lips seems pretty innocuous. it’s only because we know how intensely finn feels about romance up until this point (he later matures & grows out of this mentality) that we are concerned for his behavior in this episode. and it is only when this behavior leads to him being sexually assaulted that we are truly met with the gravity of the consequences.
as for finn’s arm growing back, this specifically represents finn beginning to accept that his dad’s own severe issues don’t reflect on finn as a person. finn must learn to detach his own self-worth from the harm people cause him, and obviously it’s not like this problem is immediately solved overnight, but that’s what he’s in the process of learning here. that’s why the harm lsp causes him is so important to this episode, because it shows that he’s both seeking that out because he wants more violence inflicted upon him, and because the fact that he continues to take her as she is (a fucking horrible person) and understand that what she did isn’t a reflection of him after the fact is so important to who finn is as a character, especially as his capacity for empathy and tolerance continue to develop.
the fact that pb is the one he sees giving him his arm back is interesting, because she’s probably the most complicated relationship he has with anyone in his life, and her image/voice comes to him in moments of great emotional clarity and breakthrough, such as in “hall of egress.” finn’s relationship to pb is inextricable from his arc as a whole, and the way he views her in every iteration is crucial to understanding his psyche and his emotional development.
now, as you say, finn’s disability arc doesn’t just end there. because, I agree, if it did, it would suck. but like, I once saw someone say that finn being so chill about having lost an arm in “james II” is good disability representation because they just treat it like a normal thing that doesn’t matter, and then a bunch of people got mad that he was shown to be severely traumatized from this in “breezy” and like. no??? in that episode, finn is still in denial. he’s just straight up pretending that nothing is wrong and that his body is fine. by the time we get to “breezy,” he has reached (and exceeded) his breaking point. but the idea that “good disability representation” is showing someone be fine with losing their literal arm is absolutely ridiculous. if the main character of your show, who has up until this point been a very active, healthy, able-bodied, energetic kid were to be totally chill with suddenly losing their arm, I would consider you a terrible writer, for obvious reasons. no human being is “chill” about suddenly becoming physically disabled, especially when the circumstances surrounding that newfound disability are extremely traumatic! ok, mini-rant over. ANYWAY.
I’ve written before on why finn’s disability is actually really well-handled (bite me losers), but i will also say that specifically with regards to breezy, it’s important to note that finn doesn’t actually resolve his trauma in this episode. you know why? because if he had, then fern wouldn’t exist. fern is a manifestation of finn at his lowest psychologically, finn during his ptsd depression maladaptive coping era. finn loses his arm, and then it grows back, and then he loses his arm again, but this time he’s less upset about it because he’s experienced this before, so now he’s able to wear a prosthetic, but then he loses his prosthetic in the stomach of golb and becomes the most authentic version of himself, and he lives with no arm and no prosthetic, finally, actually, fine with it, because he is truly mature now. fern is born, finn kills fern, fern comes back, fern dies holding finn’s hand. healing isn’t linear. finn’s growth does not follow a straight path, because he is a human being. sometimes what seems like a fix is just deciding to ignore a problem until it inevitably resurfaces. you really think they were just gonna let finn walk around with two whole arms for the rest of the series? after they established that every single version of finn throughout space, time, and multiverse is, ontologically, armless? no, for finn, losing an arm is part of growing up. but here, in this episode, he is growing up too soon, and he’s coping poorly, so his solution is to just repress all of it, shove it into the back of the Vault. but in a few years, he’ll open that door again. and then, he’ll be ready for it.

Heya, I was wondering if you'd elaborate on why Emplate is the wrong character to lean into for the uncontrollable hunger sympathetic angle? You're def the St. Croix person for me so I'm really curious on your take on that.
ooh so this is probably more nuanced than what I let on, and I will say it's probably not wrong per se. But I don't like it and you've given me an excuse to elaborate. It's two things: one is nerdy nitpicking stuff and one is more thematic.
Thing the First
So, firstly yes in the issue of Generation X where Cartier turns up and is like "Monet, I don't care for your tone." (or whatever), he talks to Marius and we get the current official story of what happened to their mum. This story goes:
Marius' mutant power awakens within him. His power is that he's a psychic vampire, who eats people to survive. He is overwhelmed by hunger and kills his mother. Then he runs away and eventually becomes Emplate, feeding on mutants in order to maintain his strength, and therefore his connection to this dimension. He shows no guilt, brags about the murder and mocks Cartier.
Now, it's subtle but this is a retcon.
From Emplate's first appearences AND the issue that explains how Monet became Penance, Marius is portrayed as a magic user. Like Nicole and Claudette, his power appears to be that he is gifted in a particular kind of magic involving dimension hopping and weird concisousness/personhood stuff.
His powers awaken, he gets into dark magic stuff, he kills their mum (again, feels zero guilt), and he disappears. Then, years later he returns, he looks different from before but not quite like Emplate yet. He throws some random misogynistic insults at Monet and then Penance-ifies her and takes her with him.
Then, years (?) later, he's in America, preying on mutants (possibly also looking for the twins). He still has Monet, but she escapes with Gateway's help. He looks different, now he's dependent on this mask to breathe in this world. And when I say "preying", I mean he's discovered that eating the bone marrow of young mutants gives him (via some magic) a way to survive in this world.
So, what we have is a damnation arc. A young man is corrupted by dark magic, inevitably impaired by it - it's the use of this power and the pursuit of more of it that has wrecked his body and rendered him unable to exist in our dimension - and doomed by it.
The change, in the Cartier-comes-to-visit issue, makes it a biological thing. Uncanny X-Men (2016) leans into this; interpreting his deal as entirely a "he's a type of creature that is like this" and doesn't include any magic. They also give him the mouth hands thing, which had previously been a trait of those he'd bewitched, not of himself.
Anyway so yeah. That's the first thing. The original vibe was never a story of him feeling uncontrollable hunger, but rather a very classic corrupted by dark magics storyline, with a grungey aesthetic that tbh I just enjoyed.
Thing the Second
Sometimes, just because you could interpret a character sympathetically, doesn't mean you should. Let's be clear, Marius is a remorseless abusive murderer, and has next to nothing sympathetic about him regardless of how you look at it. But even beyond that, it's sometimes counter productive.
Marius is a man who predates on teenagers. Specifically teenagers.
Marius abuses his sister. For years.
Fundamentally, I don't think there's any way of treating Marius as sympathetic without undermining Monet.
If they retcon in some inner turmoil over killing his mum (which, again, he does not have - he's fine with it), and over emphasise this idea that he needs to kill and is caught in some battle of the self over it (again, he isn't. that would be a retcon), then you may be able to make a coherent story out of it. But it would be one that makes Monet's years of torture just collateral damage in some dudes inner turmoil.
It's just, absolutely, the wrong character for that kind of treatment in my opinion. Sometimes, a character is a monster because the story needs them to be a monster.
It's not like a sympathetic exploration of an abusive POS is invalid as art. I don't believe that, just to be clear. In real life, abuse is complicated and, yes, worthwhile exploring with empathy, in a controlled and careful context. But this is hardly the character, the tone, or the audience for that kind of work.
... and I doubt any current x-men writing would have those lofty intentions in the first place. No. Realistically, if it happens, it would be because someone thought "vampire kills his mum out of uncontrollable hunger" was a cool premise and didn't think about the rest of it at all.

Happy new year folks!
this time for you, I don't have a scenario. I have a very, very interesting concept that has been bouncing in my mind for a few months.
We all know that the Undertale multiverse is filled with alternative versions of Sans the skeleton, and that in the multiverse almost everything is possible. We also know that people have fun writing about tragedies and so, and that our dear multiverse is filled with those as well.
So...
What if someone notices it. What if this someone connects the two things. This someone may think that people create sad universes because everyone keeps creating everything based on Sans, and because they (the creators) already created everything that could be "happy" using him, they now write only stuff filled with sufference. This is probably incorrect, but this someone don't care. They think they found the problem, and now they are going to solve it.
This someone decides to kill every single Sans in the multiverse.
The creators should notice the absence of their protagonist, and maybe they'll decide to finally bring the spotlight to someone else.
Unfortunately, the someone that planned all this is not a fighter, tho has a certain ability with codes. They can't create, but they can modify something that already exists. So they search for a subject to use as a killer. They need someone who is a little manipulable, yet not too much. They don't want to risk any betrayal. They want someone who doesn't care about killing someone else, even if this person appears innocent.
Our someone isn't able to modify the personalities of the subject, but they can play a little with the abilities (kind of colored magic that they can use, little physical mutations, ...) and stats (ATK, DEF, HP, LV,...).
They decide to take someone from the main universe, Undertale.
They won't use Sans, that's for sure. Papyrus is too kind, he would never hurt a fly. Undyne? Her sense of justice could make her doubt what she's doing. Napstablook is too insecure and Mettaton has even too much self confidence. Muffet... It's a possibility. But let's not limit ourselves at the first thing they could find. Let's keep analyzing. Mad Mew Mew could be another possibility. Alphys has no fighting skills. The humans... Too powerful and unpredictable. Better not risk with them. Toriel is too... motherly. Asgore is too apprehensive. Grillby can be an interesting subject. Flowey- yeah no. Too idiotic. Same for the Temmies. Riverperson knows too much. Mk knows too little.
Well, the choices aren't many.
Muffet,
Mad Mew Mew,
and Grillby.
This someone could take all of them, or maybe only one of them.
The choice is surely not mine. What do you think... Player?

Chapter 9 Part 6: Finally Freeing Tana
We left off here, ready to move in and free Tana.
Tumblr media
Since I moved everyone up, Kyle and his 2 res is now in range of the monk, so the sleep staff targets him and misses.
Tumblr media
And then on player phase, I send Ephraim to take care of the armor near Tana's cell who it turns out doesn't move.
I'm sure I'm not the only one, but a pet peeve of mine about the enemy range indicators in the GBA games is that they don't tell you when units don't move. So you actually get false information if you click on a unit who is programmed to stay in place.
Tumblr media
After attacking the armor, Ephraim is now in range of this guy.
Tumblr media
So how does this look? At first, it looks not so dangerous, but then I notice the guy's kill sword, which is why he has a base 36% crit rate.
I decide not to leave Ephraim there. However, now that I'm looking at these photos, I'm realizing that Ephraim actually would have survived a crit from the guy as long as he wasn't getting doubled.
I should have done more math... :(
Honestly though, playing with a DS lite in one hand while the other hand picks up and puts down my cell phone to take photos means that I start to get physically drained and my hands start to get stiff about halfway through any given map. So I think I'm more likely to make dumb mistakes as a result.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lute finishes off the sword guy, and I leave Vanessa in place to hit the cavalier reinforcement.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seth starts hitting the wall to free Tana, and Franz has rescued Ephraim out of (not) danger.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, we have even more cavalier reinforcements down below, along with a couple other guys who were there to start with and won't move until we get in range.
Tumblr media
I leave Artur here when I realize he could be in range of that dark mage in the throne room. The archer can't reach him, and Artur has good res, so it's a pretty safe position.
Ross, meanwhile, is in range of the soldier below.
Tumblr media
Here's Ross doing both cool shit, and really not cool shit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just putting this here to remind everyone that, yes, there is a magic weapon triangle!
It never feels quite as relevant as the physical one, but it's the reason why Artur has super good hit against this dark mage (below), and the dark mage is down to 50 against Artur.
Fire Emblem has done many different versions of the weapon triangle, and the GBA version (which, unless there are tiny differences I'm forgetting about, was consistent across all three games) feels relevant for the physical weapons because it can make a pretty big difference. Something about how it works out for the magic weapons always makes it feel kind of superfluous though.
I think part of it is just that enemy mages usually have decent res and bad def, so most of the time you attack them with physical units, not your own mages. You use your own mages to chip guys with no two range, or to blast armors out of existence.
I think another part of it is also that you get fewer mage characters than physical attackers in any of the three games, so it feels like you notice the characteristics of their weapon type less, and the individual eccentricities of the character more.
Like, Artur is the only light mage I have for a good portion of the game. Lute can use light magic if I promote her to sage, and so can Moulder and Natasha, and two other characters that we'll get later. But since Artur is the only light mage for so long, he feels less like "Artur who is one of the light mages" and more like "Artur".
If anything, I think a player is likely to compare Artur to Lute even though they're using totally different tomes, just because they are the only mages you have for a while. Any differences you notice are as likely to feel like differences between the two characters as they are differences between the weapon type.
Tumblr media
Seth finishes smashing down the wall, and Colm opens his first chest, which I think had money in it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vanessa and Artur finish off their respective targets.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tana flies out of her cell and has a conversation with Ephraim. She explains that she left her home castle without permission and came to help before getting captured.
At first, Ephraim tries to convince her to go home, but she manages to argue for staying with the army.
And now it is official that both Renais twins have saved Tana from being locked up. She's the Princess Peach of Sacred Stones.
I think that there is supposed to be some implied romance-potential between Ephraim and Tana. And I think they get married in the end game if you get them to A support, but I don't remember their support chain well, so I wonder if it's one of those ones that falls kind of flat, but, hey prince and princess so they gotta get married!
(I honestly don't remember, so the only reason I'm wondering if it falls flat is because I would think that if it sparked with romantic tension, I would remember it. But, hey, my memory isn't perfect.)
I might look up the supports later, or even try to get them to A to see them in game.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also take advantage of Tana being next to Ephraim to give her a weapon from the convoy, but it turns out I have nothing but a steel lance, which is really not ideal.
I'll trade something better to her later. I also really need to hit up some shops after the map is done.
Tumblr media
lol, here's Kyle getting attacked while asleep.
(The monk finally managed to hit Kyle with the last use of his sleep staff.)
Tumblr media
Ross and sleeping Kyle are holding the line down below.
Tumblr media
So we end up in this situation. Not bad! Artur is going to start us off by taking out the cav next to Ross.
Tumblr media
Good job, Artur!
Tumblr media
And I send Franz over to take care of the guy with the killer sword, and I realize he's much less of a threat than I thought.
If he crits, he'll do a WHOLE 3 DAMAGE to Franz.
Tumblr media
Next time: Princess Peach starts training!

was that xuan lu? oh no no, that was just kyoshi, a canon character from avatar: the last airbender. they are twenty eight years old, use she/they, and are aware that they are not actually from washington dc. too bad they can’t stray from this city for long.
how long has your character been here
two months
what is your character’s job
she's a martial arts instructor. she teaches a few different classes and levels but specifically has one for femme and nb muses more focused on self defense that she cares about a lot
where has your character been pulled from in their fandom
from the end of the rise of kyoshi book. i haven't read the second one yet, and please be gentle with me on canon on this one. i will be rereading it soonish, but it's been a little while since i first read it so my memory may not be perfect
has any magic affected your character
nope!
more info:
i played avatar kyoshi like a year or so ago and am def excited to bring her back
our at least six feet tall queen
for those who don't know she was the avatar two avatars before aang. kyoshi's dad was an earth bender and her mom was an air nomad
she wasn't immediately recognized as the avatar. though she took the test it included picking toys. kyoshi was raised as an orphan on the street, and really didn't trust the test and wound up running away
as a result her friend yun was declared avatar
slight spoilers: when the truth was realized avatar kyoshi pulled a whole mountain out of the ocean her friend yun was sacrificed and her mentor was killed by yun's earth bending instructor
a bunch more happens in the book including kyoshi joining a crime gang and body slamming her way through a wall, but it ends in kyoshi heading to the air temples to officially declare herself as avatar finally
so that's up to where she remembers
personality wise kyoshi is admittedly pretty awkward. she's empathetic and considerate, but has a hard time reading people and handling tense situations. even though kyoshi is known as a more aggressive avatar it's mostly because she just can't handle tough situations through personality! it never works for her so she brute forces her way through things!
she's got a strong sense of justice and is very level-headed and will do what needs to be done even if she's not happy about it.
they're also not super forthcoming and friendly and loving unless it's with people kyoshi is close with. they don't want people to read kindness as weakness, so she's careful with how much she shows it
stupidly powerful, though kyoshi struggles in more light delicate bending, she can split the earth in half and raise mountains so
if they're convinced they're in the right kyoshi will use bending to get her way
might know how to be immortal it's not really confirmed or denied but she does sort of know how to use earthbending to mend her bones and body and does canonically go on to live until 230 so take that as you will
she's difficult but means well
plots
anyone who takes her classes, be it regular martial arts or her self defense class
also a gym/sparring buddy in general though you have to be ready to be knocked around and also constantly remind her to actually show up. as much as they know it's important kyoshi can get a little lazy with their training
perhaps a roommate just understand kyoshi is a neat freak. that or any neighbors
some casual dates. maybe potentially a long term sip though that would take more plotting. kyoshi is canonically bisexual
someone she butts heads with. kyoshi is stubborn, so this doesn't even have to be about anything big or could be someone more in a position of power than her because kyoshi straight up does not give a shit about people's positions of authority.
give her some criminals to hang out with. they spent the whole first book with a gang it would be fun for kyoshi to do it some more. she does consider justice important, but her moral lines are more like hurting innocent people not the actual law.
any sorts of friendships. kyoshi is actually kidna soft and easy to bully if she actually likes you, you just have to get to that point first.

like, logically I should go for tamamo or one of my st holes but my inner simp is crying out for my king
hell the only reason I opted for mordred on my last ticket is because I didn’t have the mats for artoria and hadn’t yet rolled altera and gramps... hell I STILL don’t have the mats for her don’t be a dumbass me stock up and wait for the next ticket ugh
I should probably not go for jack? vanilla shiki takes care of most my st assassin needs and jack is easy to find in support when she’s a must have? most of the time I prefer borrowing kama anyway... and castoria made ryoma much more viable he’s been absolutely slaving in the vaults and I can sub alter egos or zerks too so probably not quetz or ozzy... gil more than does the work of a st archer in a clutch and same castoria deal with chloe and santa altea/skadi worst come to worst... xuanzang isn’t THAT much better than my sheba/circe/magical shuten depending on the situation, at least not enough to make her worth a ticket and one of my supports has a nice one with black grail equipped for absolute emergencies, the fucking hero whoever they are... cu alter is easy to use and I’ve been absolutely abusing him in JP but my SR ST berserkers aren’t actually that bad in a cluth even if they’re not usually my first choice “I win” button like cu and from the few times I borrowed vlad he’s too squishy and stressful to use even with his def and guts skills... and liz’s have been reliably filling my ST alter ego needs since practically the month I started fgo
I think it’ll come down to tamamo or enkidu since none of my lancers satisfactorily fill that hole... but I already have all other caster supports and I rarely ever even use a support tamamo so I might be too unga bunga dum dum for the kind of strategizing she needs anyway
I guess I’ll just be enuma elish go brrr
wait I’m already enuma elish go brrr with gil even without compatible enemies
at least I’m consistent

Sunchaser // Nevros // 6.11 // Re: About those fae, Arianna..
[Song here]
Arianna has never been someone Nevros has cared deeply for, but also not outright hated. She’s a ship in passing, hailed with flags and greeted briefly, except instead of typical tidings they’ve almost almost invariably exchanged animal facts. They both sail their own ways after their passing greetings. They have their own lives that don't involve each other.
Nevros isn’t a kind personality. You could hardly call them a good person, let alone someone who has empathy for the suffering of others. They’re callous in nature; sometimes their love is a knife, a hammer, a tooth buried in flesh. Often their hate is just the same, and distinguishing between the two is difficult for even those who understand them.
But as Arianna speaks, there is something in the reflection of the waves, in the multitude fractals of the dark sea reflecting the sky above, the twinkling stars aligning for a split second, their echoes mingling. Never before has Nevros sought to understand Arianna Sunchaser, but for that one split second, they understand her on a level she likely doesn’t even realise.
Nevros knows what it’s like to wish for an escape. To dream you’re the princess of a faraway land. To love someone who has left you. To wish you could bring them back.
But sometimes, you have to acknowledge the things you’ve done to chase a dream. And you need to realise that even underneath all those things, those horrible mistakes and fucked up cycles of hurting yourself and hurting others, you’re someone, not something.
Nevros isn’t prone to empathy, sympathy even less so. But they hope that their accusations lead to some self-realisation.
“What makes me think sandshadows are fae? Well, specifically, I think they’re not just any fae, but the Sun Queen’s court.” ”There’s a few reasons why I’m making this assumption. Firstly, the location. The only place mentioned in the documents, Bernalillo, is in New Mexico where the legends of the sandshadows originate. That’s where the two men in the document we found went missing and stepped into what is likely a pocket dimension created by a fae. The creature in the dimension killed the other guy for picking flowers but freed the other one for a song, that’s def fae behavior!”
“And it wouldn’t be the first time someone was saved from the Sun Court by singing. I assume the young apprentice witch, Pythia Bowes, who went to the Sun Court for a diplomatic mission and was the group’s only survivor, sang her way out of it. Everyone was surprised why she survived despite not being remarkable magically… but she was remarkable in that she was brought along to provide amusement by singing!” ”Songs and flowers! That’s the pattern I keep seeing!”
There’s an excitement to them, one that jitters with the thought of putting together the puzzle pieces. Not much more is missing to make the picture whole, and they keep grabbing random pieces and jamming them in to see if they fit.
“Secondly, the time. The first legends of the sandshadows originate from the 1700s from the Spanish settlers of the area. Before that, there’s apparently no legends, so I’d assume it’s a creature not native to Sonora but one that migrated there. I knoooow you’re probably like “well the Sun Queen was already banished in the 1500s!” and to that I say, it’s not like lots of people probably frequented the area much before the 1700s.”
Nev leans back on the table – they’re still not sitting on their seat -- and sighs triumphantly. They think it’s a cool theory, if nothing else. They take a moment to look at Arianna, wiggling their legs at her.
“If you didn’t want anyone to discover about sandshadows and make the connection, you shouldn’t have mentioned them. You see, I did some reading after the investigation where you told me about them…  But then again, I think you wanted us to piece all of this together. “
A corgi barks and lifts up the poem it has been holding. Nev points at it, grabs it, and begins to read out loud.
“A heap of broken images, where the sun beats, and the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief and the dry stone no sound of water. Only There is shadow under this red rock, (Come under the shadow of this red rock) And I will show you something different from either Your shadow at the morning striding behind you  Or the shadow at evening rising to meet you; I will show you fear in a handful of dust.”
They look up from the paper and stare at Arianna directly in the eye, both curious and challenging all at once. If a parasite whose sole existence is to kill, then maybe, just maybe —
“That poem was meant to make us realise things, but this part was said to be too obvious. Shadows in the desert, cast by light of the Sun Court.” ”What else could it be, Arianna Sunchaser, the one who keeps chasing that which took your sister Adelaide away?”

Bucky Barnes having a girl headcanon
A/N: this all started from an ask that Kas got but then I started commenting on it and well it turned long so I decided to make it an official headcanon.
Okay so, if Bucky had a child it would be a girl. That is how my mind sees it.
She will be called Becca after Bucky's sister.
She would love to braid his hair and play with it and he just can't say no to her. So he braids her hair and she does his.
She would def put stickers on his metal arm, or even draw on it when he sleeps.
Alpine would be so protective of her, like a mom bc pets are very connected and protective over babies that grew up with them.
And she would love her uncle (godfather) Steve so so much!
Don't even get me started about how she will never be afraid of his metal arm but she would rather admire it, she would clutch it while they are walking and she will wrap it around her when she had a nightmare and she sneaked into her daddy's bed- she will insist on having his left arm around her keeping her safe.
The kids at her kindergarten? They are afraid of her but not because her father is Bucky, no they are scared of Her. Because she is very protective of her dad.
Am I going to start talking about her found family with the avengers? Abso-fucking-lutely
Natasha and her knives. Bucky wanted to be the first one to teach his girl self defense but Natasha beat him to it. He was not happy when he entered the house and saw daggers in the vaults with little Becca excitedly smiles at her aunt when she hit the target painted on the wall. He didn't let Natasha babysit for a month after that.
Clint would teach her ASL so she could talk to him.
Which reminds me
Bucky would teach her Romanian, and will call her by Romanian nicknames 😊
Tony and Bruce would help her with homework or show and tell! She loves just sitting in the lab when she is bored, colouring and asking the scientists about what they are doing. She started to use very advanced scientific terms casually (she used them wrongly but it is still cute)
Obviously she would love to play with Morgan and Cassie
Although one time Scott invited her over for a play date with Cassie and he shrinked with them into a princess castle
Bucky went crazy when he couldn't find her and Scott almost died when Bucky found out.
The hulk? He would be like Alpine. SMALL CHILD IS TINY. LITTLE CHILD NEEDS PROTECTION. HULK PROTECT BECCA.
Steve would be protective as hell. I mean, she would come to him with problems and he would help her with advice that does not include threats and daggers.
But on the other hand...
Steve is a little punk and Bucky used to take care of him back in the 40s (he still does now ofc)
So he will sneak out candies and such when Bucky would tell Becca no more. Bucky will then find Becca eating happily candies with Steve on the couch.
Thor would tell her all about the realms and she in turn would explain to him human terms and slang. He likes having tea parties with her. Lady Becca is a fine ruler of the Tower.
Now because I am me I have to include Loki... The thing about Loki is that I think kids would be attracted to him. He is the kind that would say kids are annoying but eventually will kind of like it. She is just so precious and so he gave in and now he is showing her magic and reads to her.
Okay I'm done with the found family (ha! Yeah right)
Bucky would constantly pick her up and just carry her around because she has him all wrapped around her little finger and he wants to hold her close.
He goes on missions less now after he had her (I guess this is technically a Bucky x reader but I want to focus on Bucky being a dad rn) and he is now mainly training other new agents.
So after Becca was born with those gorgeous blue eyes and brunette hair, Bucky would take endless pictures of her. Modern technology has never been more useful to him.
If Becca starts to cough? Over protective dad mode engaged! He would panic and contact doctors and see Cho or Bruce over every small thing😂 bc he is precious.
I said it before but pre-serum!Steve was sick a lot and Bucky was the one to take care of him... So he was always worried when Becca got sick
But she would be the one to reassure him
Because she is a tough one, just like her dad.
Oh and I almost forgot! (Found family again) Bucky wasn't fond of it at first but Peter was actually a good kid after he got to know him. He stopped his metal arm ffs so Bucky figured he can babysit her bc she would be safe. Especially bc of his Spidey senses that alert him whenever something might be wrong.
So peter became an older brother and you can bet that he got her to watch star wars and other nerdy stuff
And hey, her dad is a nerd too, she will be as well. LOTR? She has every book already.
Now back to Bucky.
He would do anything for his little girl
He never thought he would have a family after he got drafted into the war. And especially after he became the winter soldier. Because who would trust and love him enough to create a little baby with him?
Well he found the right girl
And then little Becca was born and he was in love with her
Becca loves her daddy so much, she is daddy's girl no doubt.
And just like she comes to him for nightmares, whenever she hears her dad having trouble sleeping she would get out of bed with her stuffed white wolf and she would come and ask him if he had a nightmare.
Then she would come to bed and give him the stuffed animal so he can hug it just like she does for comfort.
She is always surrounded by love from her big family and especially from her loving dad
So she always gives it back
And Bucky could not be happier that he has his little girl here with him.
The end.
... For now at least.

Headcanons about Apollo and his former lovers from TOA
Naomi Solace 🎤
-Her and Apollo met when she was singing at a dive bar, he bought her a drink and they had a whirlwind summer fling
-They loved hitting up karaoke bars together and wowing everyone with their singing talent
-She really liked Apollo’s car and they’d did a lot of things in there (including conceiving Will lmao)
-One time when they were making out Naomi climbed into Apollo’s seat and her butt accidentally hit the steering wheel and HOOONK
-They jolted in surprise, then delved into hysterics, anything they had going on dying down as they laid their heads against each other’s shoulders and laughed so hard their ribs hurt, until Apollo suggested they used the back seat and things got going again lol
-Once Naomi said Jesus Christ in like response to smth, Apollo replied actually I’m Phoebus Apollo and Naomi was like what? And Apollo was like whaaaaat and Naomi just moved on bc she had other things to deal with lol
-Apollo ended up saying goodbye and leaving at the end of summer and a few weeks after he left Naomi realized she was pregnant and was like well shit
-She’s from the south and people there can be p judgmental about pregnancies outside of marriage, but Naomi never let them get her down, she actually met this great support group of women who helped her out and are still good friends even now
-Apollo eased her labor pains when she was giving birth to Will (and that’s why the kid has such good medical powers), but Apollo disguised himself as a nurse, not wanting to stress her out because the ex who she thought had no idea abt the baby was here, with her, holding her hand while she was gave birth
-Naomi brings Will up with love and kindness and she just wants the best for her sweet boy, but she gets concerned when Will talks about some weird things he saw at school and he gets pegged as the “weird kid” and is picked on by his classmates as a result
-Naomi would’ve fought those kids but Will told her it was fine, mama! His stuffed animals were his friends
-Will loved those stuffed animals and got really attached to them, so Naomi taught him how to sow them up when they started fraying and that’s the first thing that made Will want to be a doctor (when Will told his siblings this story they started calling him Doc McStuffins lol)
-Apollo didn’t tell Naomi he was a god and she didn’t find out until Apollo sent a satyr to bring Will to camp once he was old enough
-Realizing she had a fling with a greek god was a bit of a shock but Naomi dealt with it gracefully and gave Will the biggest hug before he left, making him promise to be safe and write to her as soon as he got to camp
-Naomi’s career as a country alt singer got a lot more successful after her whole thing with Apollo because he put a blessing on her, her voice was beautiful she just needed help getting noticed so Apollo nudged some influential people in the music industry towards her on his way out (he kinda felt bad about leaving so abruptly, even if it was just a fling, he tries to make it up to his ex-lovers with things like this)
-Naomi actually ends up writing a sad country love song about Apollo after he left, she titled it Suburn, not knowing how fitting the title is until years later, it becomes one of her most popular songs
-Naomi travels a lot for her career, touring around Texas and some nearby states, and that’s why Will stays at camp year round, but they write to each other frequently and love each other sm
-Naomi doesn’t date much since she’s always busy with her career and traveling, she’s just not ready to settle down yet, she’s happy living as a free spirit and a single mom with a wonderful son
-Naomi is 100% supportive of Will’s sexuality and loves Nico to bits (Nico is a little awkward around her at first bc he’s not used to affection lol)
-She tells Nico stories abt Will when he was a kid, whipping out photo albums and everything and Will is like mom s t a h p ur embarrassing me in front of my bf and Nico is reveling in how red his face gets
Latricia Lake 🎶
-she met Apollo when he was posing as a street performer for fun on the streets of the college town she worked in
-she put a tip in his guitar case and complimented his playing and his voice, Apollo was pleased by this and complimented her in turn, saying she must know her music which made Latricia laugh because she is a professor
-the two of them hit it off and start dating, spending hours talking about music
-being the god of music, Apollo could tell when people really loved music, feeling loved in return, and Latricia was one of those people
-being a college professor, Latricia was a bit older than Apollo’s usual lovers (she’s like in her mid to late 20s) and Apollo looks like 21, so he jokingly starts calling her a cougar just to tease her (when he’s so full of shit bc he’s over 3 thousand years older than her)
-Apollo attended some of her lectures, watching from the back of the room and her students were like ooh who’s that hot guy and she was like my bf and their jaws dropped bc daaamn ms lake way to go (Apollo found those reactions very amusing lol)
-There are many times when Latricia considers smacking that smug smirk off Apollo’s face, but she refrains and smacks his ass instead
-Apollo claims Latricia only loves him for his pancakes bc he made them for her the morning after their first time as a way to get her to keep him around lol (and it worked a little too well)
-When Latricia got pregnant Apollo told her who/what he really was and that was a bit too much for Latricia so they stopped dating but Apollo gave her the briefing about demigod children, powers, monsters, camp half blood, etc before he left
-One day when her sitter had to cancel on her she brought Austin to her class and all the college kids thought he was so cute that Latricia started bringing him around more often, Austin was just a baby but she could tell he loved the attention by the way he was gurgling lol (like father like son)
-Latricia is p busy since she’s a professor but she always makes time for her son and she has been teaching Austin about music since he was a kid, he grew up surrounded by it and that’s why he loves it sm (that and being a son of Apollo)
-On his 10th birthday there was a really nice new saxophone with a ribbon at the foot of his bed (a gift from Apollo) Austin always thought his mom bought it for him and Latricia just didn’t correct him
-Latricia sent Austin to camp half blood when he told her he saw a monster at school, he was only 11 but Latricia would rather be safe then sorry
-Latricia actually met someone while Austin was at his first year of camp, Austin was a little unsure around the guy at first but more out of awkwardness than anything the guy was lacking
-Austin and him bonded over “being boys” as Latricia put it (they blew up hot dogs in the microwave together) and the man soon had her son’s stamp of approval
-They ended up getting married the next year and Austin played the saxophone at their wedding
-Latricia was the first subscriber to his YouTube channel and showed all her coworkers and students her son’s videos, she’s a proud mama
Darren Knowles 🏹
-gay (obviously)
-he loves the outdoors and the crisp cold weather of Canada
-met Apollo when he saw him checking out the flier he had pinned up advertising his archery classes, Darren asked if he was gonna join and Apollo not so subtly checked Darren out over his sunglasses and was like well now I’m def joining
-Darren lowkey thought Apollo was a dumb American tourist at first and Apollo keeps telling him he’s not American and Darren is like uh huh
-Apollo is such a flirt during class and actually misses a few shots bc he too busy staring at Darren lol, but that does give the opportunity for Darren to come and “correct” his stance
-Darren is determined to be a professional with his students but he ends up caving because Apollo is just,, so cute
-Then when they start going on actual dates he finds out Apollo isn’t some dumb blond and is actually really intelligent and educated and Darren is like oh no my weakness, guys who are goofs but not dumb and also hot (Apollo be checking all of his boxes lol)
-Apollo told Darren he was a god while drunk off his ass one night and Darren didn’t believe a fucking word, Apollo just rolled with the drunken nonsense thing the next morning and didn’t tell Darren again (until Kayla)
-Darren lives alone but he’s always wanted a family, he was kicked out by his parents for being gay and he knows if he was a parent he would never treat his child like that, he’d love them unconditionally like his parents should’ve loved him
-Apollo magically created a child for Darren after the man confessed to him how much he wanted a kid of his own
-Darren was happy but like really confused because h... how? And Apollo is just like magic~ which explains fuck all
-Apollo tells him he has to leave now, he was having to leave soon anyway because of some trouble brewing back in America, but that he wanted to do this one last thing for Darren before he left
-he tells him to have take care raising the baby and to send her to cbh’s address when she starts attracting monsters, then poofs away, leaving Darren with a baby in his arms and wondering what the hell just happened
-Darren does raise Kayla with love and care just as he said he would, she grows up hiking through the woods with her dad and learning archery along with other wilderness skills (Artemis would really like her)
-Kayla has her aspirations for the Olympics pretty early on and Darren admires his daughter’s ambition, at first he thinks it’s just her being a kid but then later on as she keeps getting better and better he’s like damn she might actually be able to do it
-But then ofc monsters come and Darren drives her down to New York, lying through his teeth to the border guy who surprisingly lets him through without a problem (Apollo may have insured that but shhh)
-Darren sees her off at the barrier of Thalia’s pine tree and they say goodbye with a hug that lifts Kayla off her feet, there’s promises to write and reminders to practice her archery and take care of her bow and such before Kayla is escorted into camp by some other campers
-Darren managed to keep a hold of himself while saying goodbye but as soon as he’s back in the car he’s fucking bawling, all the way back to Canada because he’s gonna miss his little girl sm
-Darren has had some boyfriends but a lot of them end up jetting as soon as he tells them he has a kid ripp
-He does eventually land a good man and they’re going strong, even when Kayla, who was like 10 at the time, threatened to shoot him in the nads if he hurt her dad
-Darren and shows up to every archery match Kayla has in the future and promises to be there cheering for her with a big ass sign that says THATS MY DAUGHTER when she eventually reaches the Olympics
Bonus!
Georgina’s Mom 🎨
-She was an art student in community college
-She was on her own because her parents refused to support her “unrealistic” career choice
-She met Apollo at a party at some college dorm and they both got super smashed bc college parties be like that
-They had a one night stand that both of them mostly forgot about in favor of their hangovers the next morning
-until Hello!! You have a kid!
-She is most likely dead given that Georgina was led to the waystation by a ghost
-But Georgina has two new mommies now who love her very much (and an awkward dad)

the thought of fennec fucking Din w a spotchka bottle has grabbed me by the fuckin THROAT hello
prefacing this with the fact that idk how intoxication via (skin) absorption works, and i don’t rlly care, it’s space alcohol maybe it’s special or whatever. but I think fennec should try to fill his cunt up with as much spotchka as she can and then shove a plug in and force him to sit there squirming and whining while she toys w him. I think given enough time, he would start to feel kind of fuzzy and tingly as his body slowly absorbs the alcohol. I doubt he’d get like. Drunk, but he def gets tipsy, just enough that it’s noticeable. And! once fennec has decided she’s done playing with him, maybe she’d have Paz come over and hold Din so his hips r tilted up (don’t wanna spill whatever’s left inside), take the plug out and eat him out, drinking the spotchka from him (might taste a bit like him 👀) while Paz keeps Din from wriggling.
ok that was my first thought I’m having another one now: Fennec making Din take as much of the (or any) bottle as he can. two options for this: Thin neck part first, maybe trying to get it past his cervix to get it to fit. it def would be too long to fit entirely, even if they get it into his cervix, but most of it would be inside him. bet it’d make a real pretty sight, his cunt would be stretched so wide from it, and it’s glass so they’d be able to see right through to his womb, see how his walls hug the unrelenting bottle. Would be interesting if Fennec had Paz lift Din to his feet, try to have him walk around. it’s stuck fast in him, with the head through his cervix, and walking would definitely be an experience. It’d be very slow probably, his stance awkward to accommodate the huge bottle inside him. Each step would make him shake and force whimpers out of him as every spot inside him is pressed against the hard glass. Poor Din would be an absolute mess in no time, legs weak from the pleasure.
Other option: It goes in base first. it’d take much longer, fennec would have to stretch him enough for him to take it, and it’d be very intense. (Probably not as intense as getting the top into his womb, but at least that started out small and then got big) there’s no way to get used to it this way. No gradual widening of the bottle neck. It starts out big and it stays big. There’s no give to it at all. Din would be left feeling like he had been cored through. It wouldn’t get in as deep this way, so he’d be left with the neck of the bottle sticking out of his cunt. It’s such a big and hard insertion that he probably can’t even clench around it, especially if fennec makes him come like this. His walls would try to clamp down around it, milk it like a cock, but it isn’t a cock. It’s thick glass, and so big that his cunt isnt strong enough to even shift it. I wonder how that’d feel to him, being stuffed so full of something with no give, and made to come around it, muscles unable to contract in orgasm. maybe it’d feel more intense.
Wonder if maybe Fennec would tip his hips up and pour something into the bottle, and cap it. It’d add so much weight. Maybe whatever she adds is really cold, more noticeable than adding something hot. It makes him gasp at the sensation as the liquid cools the bottle, shivering. I think he’d like how it feels. u wouldn’t think something cold would feel good inside, but it does 😳. his body heat would warm it up eventually. Oooo perhaps she’d have him stand up with his legs apart, and tell him not to let it drop. It would be easy for a bit, his cunt would be hugging it so tight, but his muscles would probably start to loosen over time, the weight of it too heavy as slick makes the bottle start to slip. he’d have to actively try to keep it inside, trembling with the effort until she decides it’s enough, and pushes him down and fucks him with it. he’d be SO sore, cunt muscles aching for at least a day.
he’d love it tho. size queen motherfucker <3
Okay by WHAT MAGIC are you able to submit asks this long, look at this opus
Tumblr media
Can I just say... yes? HELL YES?? Using Din as a font of spotchka is YES??? I'm sorry I couldn't read much further than that, my mind was already whited out by the first prospect and every time I tried to go further it was blown all over again ✨

Please talk more about your reboot!
16: If you could change anything in the show, what would you change?
okay so how i would re-do CANON is completely different from how i would talk abt a reboot so im gonna touch on a couple things in both contexts! the reason for the difference is canon rewrites imply i can go back in time and introduce dp fresh and new, before anyone knows what it is; but for a reboot, id be working with an audience that has a better understanding of the source material, so i dont need to spend as much time explaining, but i also need to keep everything recognizable
Valerie
REWRITE: i would def make it more danny's fault that her dad lost his job, like danny was intentionally being reckless and shattered some security stuff, and he has a whole mini lesson about learning to not just run in guns blazing. i would probably remove the dating stuff with her and danny (and tuckers crush) too, I think them wanting to be good friends is good enough for freshman year
REBOOT: the fandom already knows valerie exists, so i would actually skip the whole shades-of-gray introductory episode and have her be present as the huntress from day 1-- probably even before danny got his powers. cujo is also HER dog, and her backstory-- we'd find out in like, season 1, that a natural ghost portal (maybe one wulf opened) ripped open on her dog and killed him, and since then shes had a vendetta against ghosts cause of how reckless they are and their disregard for life-- of course, cujo isnt actually dead. cujo is a halfa. a puby halfa. anyway instead of a hoverboard she actually rides cujo around cause he can fly and its big and epic. valerie has BEEN amity parks ghost-eradicating superhero for at least a year (tho shes been in the shadows abt it) and her hatred towards danny actually just becomes really petty, like them flying next to each other chasing skulker just going "I got this. no I got this. no I got this" and they just get in each others' way and its a mutual grudge.
BOTH: i am NOT keeping in vlad giving her the suit to watch danny under any circumstances. it was only utilized half assedly in canon (when vlad couldve just had an invisible duplicate watching him instead) anyway, and I dont have any reason to keep it in a reboot either. instead i want her tech to be a combination of half-stolen and half-gerryrigged stuff and she slowly slowly learns how to build her own.
I also dont want anyone knowing her secret identity, except maybe her dad, and sam or tucker. i think it works better if danny isnt privy to this magic info
Freakshow
REWRITE: i would honestly just remove him. the episodes hes in arent particularly interesting, theyre just generic "we need a plot about x" filler and he's not compelling enough a character (at least in writing) to carry a better plot that another antagonist couldnt. i'm serious
REBOOT: unfortunately in a reboot he's gonna have to pop up somewhere or else ppl will be like "where IS HE" so I'm going to stick with running some kind of ghost circus, maybe a few occult things, but cut out a lot of the spooky magical knowledge and mcguffin stuff. maybe i could make him like, someone from vlad/jack/maddies college who always felt pushed around by them and so he has a vendetta? and theyd be the only reason he even learned abt ghosts in the first place. idk in either way I want to force him into being irredeemable but also include LYDIA (the tattoo girl ghost) way more-- I want to give her an arc that ends in her tossing freakshow aside and running off to be a ghost vigilante.
BOTH: dear god the infinity gauntlet is stupid that needs to GO AWAY. especially for the reboot cause it would exist in a post-mcu world and way too many people would complain about it
Vlad
REWRITE: amp him up to a far more sinister and villainous character. the crushing on maddie isnt enough, I want to show him on-screen performing experiments on ghosts and himself, dismissing everyone else cause he thinks hes smarter than them. i want him to be actively sabotaging the fentons at every turn. i would also clarify that he doesnt actually want danny as a son, but as a trophy-- a line where danny says something along the lines of "you don't want a son. you want a slave". i want to make him a character who wants to destroy the entire planet and put it in the ghost zone so he can be the true ghost king and i want to make this all evident from day one. if i'm writing a series villain you can bet i'm going to write a GOOD one. less petty drama here and more actual stakes.
REBOOT: it seems silly but sense with reboot we have the benefit of hindsight and recognizing that vlad wasn't a big series villain, theres no way i'd actually go back and write him to be such. for starters, of course, theres the fact that anything he does would really be an exaggerated part of the original, and it would bore an audience to see the same story again-- theres also the fact that it doesnt seem right to take a character who was treated as a joke half the time and suddenly make them big and important. no, instead for my reboot i want to lean into the petty gay uncle vibe. he had a crush on jack and now just casually insults him. he moves mansions every now and again by just haunting the family who lives in the one he wants, and taking over-- i mean, who is gonna believe that an actual ghost haunted you. he dislikes danny not because he has some concept of 'evil' and 'good' but bc danny is just too damn active. of course he actually does care about danny and his safety deep down, it's just on the surface they have very conflicting motivations-- not to mention that danny has been raised on legends from his parents of the villainous Wisconsin Ghost, who has to be stopped at all costs.
BOTH: i want jack and maddie to KNOW he's a half ghost and to actively be hunting him down for it, maybe bc they think hes possessed, or been a ghost tricking them this whole time, or the victim of a tragic lab accident who needs to be put to rest, etc. whatever the case it will give vlad actual tangible reason to despise them and genuinely suspect they dont have dannys best interests at heart. i think it would be neat if vlad was cynical and every time danny hit him with the "I'll expose us both. at least theyll still love ME" vlad could be like in the back of his head "oh god theyre going to kill this child"
Dani
REWRITE: cut her out. we don't need her character at all. maybe replace her with a more ominous shadow duplicate / clone that actually looks like danny himself and doesnt really have a name? you could probably combine her and dark dans characters for their arcs
REBOOT: instead of a clone from vlad, she's a guys in white creation using some of dannys dna after he was captured (and vlad broke him out bc he was like "ugh i guess i have to save this child")
BOTH: vlad actually cares abt her (duh), shes nonbinary (double duh), she gets the funny dissolve into goo powers
i had more i thought i was gonna write but this post is already very long and also im running out of coherency for this LUL

Fate and Phantasms #189
Tumblr media
Today on Fate and Phantasms we’re making the royal hikkikoneet of Himeji Castle, Osakabehime! This giant nerd is a Lore Bard, because it’s hard to stay in your room all day and not read things, as well as a Trickery Domain Cleric to fill your castle to the brim with ghostly defenses (and run away to your kotatsu when things get scary).
Check out her build breakdown below the cut, or her character sheet over here!
Next up: Prepare for trouble, and make it double!
Race and Background
Going by Fate’s official lore, Osakabehime is a kitsune like Tamamo. But, since Tamamo’s pretty insistent on No Doubles, O-heems here had to change her race, and so do we. So we’re making her a Hexblood to get some castle magic right off the bat. This makes Batty Fey and Humanoid, and she gets +1 Wisdom and +2 Charisma. She keeps the standard Medium size, but she still gets Darkvision, Fey Resilience against the charmed condition, Hex Magic which lets her cast Disguise Self and Hex using her Charisma. You can cast one of these spells for free each day, or by using spell slots.
She can also make Magic Tokens out of her hair (and other things, but those are gross), letting her send a message to the creature holding it. Also, while she’s within 10 miles of the token, she can enter a trance to see and hear through the token for 1 minute, after which the token is destroyed. She can make a token once per long rest, and they only last until her next long rest anyway, so don’t get excited about stockpiling them like I just did before reading that part.
Castle Guardian Spirit isn’t an official D&D background, but fortunately Mangaka is! Or at least, Guild Artisan has the same sort of ring to it. This gives Batty proficiency in Insight and Persuasion.
Ability Scores
Batty’s Wisdom should be her highest stat. Making good art requires good eyes to figure out how to improve your technique. Second best is her Charisma. She’s got that awkward underdog style going for her, despite how much she overthinks things. Her Dexterity is also pretty high. She might not move around much, but she’s an expert at hiding from responsibilities! Batty’s Intelligence is above average, it’s hard to spend that much time on the internet and not learn something. Her Constitution isn’t great, I blame staying inside all day, but we’re dumping Strength for pretty much the same reason. There’s nothing saying a NEET can’t be a gym rat, but that’s def not Batty.
Class Levels
Bard 1: Starting off as a bard gives Batty all sorts of proficiencies, like Dexterity and Charisma saves, Sleight of Hand and Performance to master her brushstrokes, History for living for so long, and Stealth to slip away from crowds. If she does end up next to people though, she can use her Bardic Inspiration to give them a d6 for one of their checks, saves, or attack rolls Charisma Bonus times per long rest. Batty can also use her Charisma to cast Spells! Minor Illusion and Silent Image will create the first soldiers in her origami army (they can’t touch people, but they can be distracting!). She also gets Feather Fall for some bat parachuting, Blade Ward to hide from physical attacks in her kotatsu dimension, Charm Person to avoid fights altogether, and Distort Value to make even a neck guard look like a proof of courage.
Cleric 1: Bouncing over to cleric real quick will give us all sorts of goodies. Since Batty is a Trickery cleric, she gets a Blessing of the Trickster, giving another creature advantage on stealth checks for an hour. Don’t you know heavy armor is uruso noisy? Keep it quiet! She also learns another set of spells (since we’re multiclassing you’ll have to use the special table to figure out how many slots you have now.) that use her Wisdom to cast and prepare them. She gets Charm Person and Disguise Self for free, which... she already had from level one... But, she also gets cantrips! Guidance and Resistance will make you a little more knowledgeable than everyone else about everything, and Thaumaturgy will help you get your spooky castle ghost thing going. You can also prepare spells like Bane to dull the senses of intruders, and Purify Food and Drink and Sanctuary to protect yourself and guests.
Bard 2: Second level bards are even better at everything since they’re Jacks of All Trades, adding half their proficiency to all skill checks. They also learn a Song of Rest, so anyone brave enough to spend a short rest in Himeji Castle will heal an extra d6 when they use hit dice. Your Magical Inspiration makes your bardic inspiration dice even better, letting your allies add the d6 to the damage or healing of a spell! Batty can also cast Speak with Animals now! Turns out she has an army of like 800 animal spirits helping out, which certainly explains all the origami.
Bard 3: As a Lore bard, Batty gets even more proficiencies, making her really good with Deception, Arcana, and Religion. I mean, she is kind of a god already. She can also turn her bardic inspiration into Cutting Words, reducing a creature’s check, attack roll, or damage by that amount instead of adding to it. She means well, but her cringey moments can get pretty uramessy. She also get Expertise in Performance and Stealth, doubling her jozu modifier. She can also cast Animal Messenger to make her first origami animal that can actually help you, delivering a message to a creature you specify in a location you’ve been before.
Bard 4: Use your first Ability Score Improvement to bump up your Charisma for more inspiration and confidence, meaning more helpful hints and more cringey cutting words per long rest. This also makes your spells better! Speaking of, you get Prestidigitation to make real origami at will, and Phantasmal Force to make an origami horse that can really trample people. Well, kind of. It’s still an illusion, but the damage is real.
Bard 5: Fifth level bards get stronger Bardic Inspiration, their dice turning into d8s. They also become a Font of Inspiration, thanks to their inspiration dice refilling on short rests instead of long ones. You can also use third level spells now, like using a Glyph of Warding to hide Phantasmal Forces all around your castle. You can use these glyphs to create Explosive Runes for straight damage, or Spell Glyphs to store spells of the level you cast the glyph at or lower, which will target whatever activated the glyph in the first place. It takes an hour and 200 gold to cast, but it also lets you ignore concentration, so... actually this would be a great way to summon creatures. Just stick a glyph in a book, throw it at a creature’s head, boom, summons without concentration. You’re welcome.
Bard 6: Sixth level bards can waste their turn using Countercharm to give allies advantage on saves against being frightened or charmed. You already get half of that for free, so why bother. More importantly, you get Additional Magical Secrets, giving you two spells from any class. For your normal spell, grab Nondetection to prevent yourself from getting found through magic, then use magical secrets to pick up Leomund’s Tiny Hut to hide in a proper kotatsu of protection, and Conjure Animals for some slightly fleshier origami animals. We’ll get the real deal later, but this works just as well, yo-i.
Bard 7: Seventh level bards get fourth level spells, like Hallucinatory Terrain. Changing up the whole castle grounds is a good way to get people lost, and if they’re lost they’re less likely to find you.
Bard 8: Max out your Charisma with this ASI for better spells and more cringe. You can also use Greater Invisibility to keep yourself hidden, even while making more origami.
Bard 9: Your last level of bard makes your Song of Rest a d8 too, but more importantly, you also get fifth level spells, meaning you can finally cast Animate Objects to make real origami animals of variable sizes. You can create up to 10 animals this way, with medium pieces of paper counting as two, large pieces as four, and huge objects as eight. You can also upcast this spell for more objects at once. Rise, my mighty karmy!
Cleric 2: Now that we have your origarmy ready to go, we can finally dip back into cleric! Second level clerics can Channel Divinity once per short rest, either Turning Undead with a wisdom save, or Invoking Duplicity to create an illusory copy of yourself for a minute. The illusion has to stay within 120 feet of you, but you can cast spells as though you were standing in its space. Perfect for when you have to fight but you want to stay in your tiny hut at the same time.
Cleric 3: Third level clerics get second level spells, like Mirror Image and Pass without Trace. Finally, you can make yourself sneaky! You also get access to a bunch of other spells that will make yourself more protected- Aid increases your and up to two other creature’s max HP for 8 hours, Protection from Poison protects you... from poison, and Zone of Truth makes sure nobody can hide their plans from you.
Cleric 4: With your bard stuff taken care of, you can use this ASI to bump up your Wisdom for stronger cleric spells. You also learn Mending. Your army is made of paper, they’re going to get torn eventually.
Cleric 5: Fifth level clerics can Destroy Undead of CR 1/2 or lower when they’re turned, and they also get third level spells, like Blink and Dispel Magic. Bringing your own magic into someone’s house is shitsurei manners, don’t you think? You can also Bestow Curses on particularly rude guests, Meld into Stone to hide away without a trace, and create Spirit Guardians to protect yourself from melee attacks.
Cleric 6: As a sixth level cleric, you can Channel Divinity twice per rest, and you can use it to put on a Cloak of Shadows, becoming invisible until the end of next turn, or until you attack or cast a spell.
Cleric 7: Seventh level clerics get fourth level spells, like Dimension Door to pop straight into your kotatsu from 500 feet away. You can also cast Polymorph to reclaim your foxy glory! Or turn into a T Rex, if you want to powergame. Your choice. You also get access to Guardians of Faith, which are like Spirit Guardians, but they don’t stick near you- perfect for when you want to avoid being in a fight entirely. You can also use an Aura of Life and/or Aura of Purity to make your hikkolife a bit easier. The former gives nearby allies resistance to necrotic damage, immunity to max HP reduction, and autoheals creatures when they start their turn with 0 hit points. Hey, another spell that would be really good to keep around in a glyph of warding! The latter prevents disease, gives creatures in it resistance against poison damage, and has advantage on saves against being blinded, charmed, deafened, frightened, paralyzed, poisoned, and stunned.
Cleric 8: Use your last ASI to max out your Wisdom for the best cleric spells possible. Your Destroy Undead grows to affect creatures of CR 1 or lower, and you also get a Divine Strike, causing all your weapon attacks to deal an extra 1d8 poison damage. I mean... no reason to turn down a free gift, right?
Cleric 9: Ninth level clerics get fifth level spells, like Dominate Person and Modify Memory to sculpt the minds of those foolish enough to enter your castle without permission. You can also use Insect Plague to create a massive swarm of tiny origami bats, dealing piercing damage to creatures stuck in them. Alternatively, use Hallow to make your castle a more liminal space, adding a bunch of effects against celestials, elementals, fey (probably should just not include that one.), fiends, and undead, preventing them from entering the area and messing with their magic and mental effects. There’s also a ton of other effects you can add, just take a look at the spell, we’re not writing them all out here.
Cleric 10: Tenth level clerics get Divine Intervention, letting you pray to your god for a roya-l get out of jail free card once a day, with a week’s break after it actually works. You have a roughly 1 in 10 chance of it working each time you use it, based on your cleric level. If it works, you can get whatever your DM thinks is appropriate- maybe a couple robots show up to help out your plan to be lazy forever? Nah, that’d be silly. You can also cast Sacred Flame this level. I was running out of good cantrips to give you, and kitsune are known for will of wisps and the like, so it’s sort of on theme.
Cleric 11: Your capstone level makes Destroy Undead affect creatures of CR 2 or lower, and you get sixth level spells! Forbiddance locks magical travel out of an area for up to a day- if you cast the spell every day for a month, it’ll last until dispelled. You can also force extraplanar creatures to take a bunch of damage every turn they’re in the area without a save, so Tamamo will finally leave you alone. You can use Word of Recall to teleport back to your kotatsu from anywhere, no restrictions. (Technically you have to pick a spot that is involved with your god, but aside from that.) Or, you can use a Heroes’ Feast to make the rest of your party stronger so you won’t feel as bad when you leave the fighting to them. This cures creatures of all disease and poison, makes them immune to poison and being frightened, gives them advantage on wisdom saves, and increases their max HP, all for 24 hours.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
Glyph of Warding lets you set up tons of traps and store spells away for later, all without using concentration. That is huge for a build whose main source of damage comes from summon spells. Not only does it let you cast more of them, it also means the ones you have up won’t disappear because you get hit.
Speaking of, it’s really easy for you to avoid combat entirely. Go invisible, hide in a tiny hut and let your duplicity do the fighting for you, throw gobs of paper at enemies then run the other way, whatever they do doesn’t matter because you won’t be around to get hit anyway!
If an enemy does try to chase you down, they’ll have to pass through your massive army of summons first-with an upcasted Animate Objects, that means they’ll be taking 18 attacks of opportunity before they even walk through them all, and that’s before factoring nonsense from your glyphs.
Cons:
You are terrible at fighting directly. You have very few spells that deal damage directly, you have barely over 100 HP, and your AC is 11 if you’re playing to character. Once somebody does make it past your paper, you’d better have a word of recall ready.
Multiclassing really hurts spellcasters. It means you don’t get 7th level or higher spells, you have to spend all your ASIs on casting modifiers to make them both good, and you don’t get the guaranteed intervention from only being a cleric.
You have a big army, but they’re still made of paper. If you go the tiny bat route, all your summons will only have 20 hp, which means one fireball will tear through all of them in a single blow.

Hi!! I just wanted to tell you how much I do love your stories and how much I am really into them! I even have pop-up notifications in here and Ao3 to know when you share with us more about Bridgerton and Sons - which seems kinda a stalker, now I think of it... but it's not like that! 😅🤦‍♀️
The thing is, I'm a very musical person; whenever I read or do some computer-required work, or basically anything in my life tbh, music is always present. For instance, I'm re-reading again (can't they just, magically, give us Season 2 already? 🤣) TVWLM and for Anthony and Kate's Wedding night, I cannot help but "listen to" 'Experience', by Ludovico Einaudi; and when reading/imagining the wedding in the Bridgerton and Sons Universe, Anthony and Kate are dancing to 'You & I', by Crystal Fighters (which is so refreshing, good vibes and just PERFECT).
If it's not too much to ask, which kind of music do Kate and Anthony listen to? Which is their favourite genre; would it surprise us all? I don't know why I picture Anthony completely flabbergasted to Kate's musical tastes. 🤣
Thank you in advance and thank YOU for giving us content and such a beautiful story when we're waiting for the season to come. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
PD.: thank you for not making Penelope be Lady Whistledown in Bridgerton and Sons. Despite I liked that plot in the books, I just cannot imagine in here Penelope saying nasty things about people we know she loves a lot.
Hi!
(This got a little longer so I’ve put a cut in)
I’m so glad you’re enjoying Bridgerton and sons!  And perhaps it’s ridiculous, but I’m terribly flattered you have notifications turned on for both Ao3 AND this black hole of a tumblr account (makes me very curious how many other’s also have notifications turned on!) Anyway, no, I don’t think you’re stalking me, that’s why the notification system exists!
I will own to also being a slightly musically inclined person: Fun fact about me, I’m a classically trained saxophonist! And (and this is really going to tell you all JUST how cool a person I truly am) Guys, I was the captain of my High School Jazz band  😂😂I can play guitar, ukulele and Piano to varying degrees of proficiency but I would never in a million years play any of those three instruments in front of another human being! That being said my own taste in music is cripplingly basic as anyone who has dared look at the Bridgerton and Sons playlist on spotify can attest too. It has often been joked by my friends that I cannot start a playlist without putting Fleetwood Mac’s Rumors album on and Shania Twain’s Come on Over album.  But! I love Ludovico Einaudi! His work is always so beautiful and tbh whenever I listen to it I get a little choked up!  and I hadn’t heard You & I before but I can definitely see them dancing to it at their wedding, just being sickeningly in love and happy. We love to see it.
Also, when I first started writing Insufferable Penelope probably was going to be the writer but... the longer it went on and the crueler the things said got, I decided it just wasn’t right. This isn’t a Gossip Girl situation fam.
Okay! Kate and Anthony’s favourite Music!
Kate was a young girl in the mid-late 90′s so unfortunately I think we know what this means: Kate knows the entirety of the Spiceworld album by heart. She could probably do it backwards. She would never admit it to Anthony but she had a Justin Timberlake poster on her wall for a very long time. Anthony does not have the heart to tell her that he knows she love NSYNC because Edwina has showed him a video of their perfectly choreographed routine to Bye Bye Bye. She’s also quite partial to the 80′s rock that played heavily in her house growing up. And Anthony is very surprised to find a Def Leppard shirt amongst her laundry one day. While Anthony may not be partial to Kate’s music, he does think it’s very adorable when she sings along in her endearingly tone deaf way, and so more often than not when they’re cooking together in the kitchen, they’re playing her music.
Anthony is a soft rock/indy kind of guy. He’s constantly bringing up bands that Kate has never even heard of. She gets tugged along to concert after concert of music that all sounds exactly the same to her but she really doesn’t care because Anthony is there, his arms wrapped tightly around her waist, singing softly in her ear, a huge smile on his face. And he looks so happy, and young, and carefree that her heart nearly bursts for him.
There is one time when Kate finally recognises a song on Anthony’s playlist about 4 months into their relationship and she squeals a little with delight and amusement when it starts. “Hyacinth is getting awfully good at sneaking songs onto your playlist.” She says, smirking as she starts to hum along, but she can’t help but notice that Anthony hasn’t done anything, didn’t make a disgusted noise, his hand hasn’t even moved from hers to try and change the song, and then she notices his ears going a little red.  “Oh my god!” she says laughing brightly “You, Mr. Music is artistry Katie put this song on here didn’t you?!” And Anthony tuts and puffs his chest a little which only makes her heart burst more for him when he says, more than a little primly  “It reminds me of you.”  And god help her, as soon as they get home Kate takes it upon herself to show him that yes God is a woman
