Honestly I think my take on the "Chat Noir was not there in the final battle" comes down to the fact that I kind of just don't think a satisfying final battle between Chat Noir and Monarch was actually possible.
I read a lot of fic, for example, and I've read the scenario play out a lot of times in a ton of ways and I've never been fully convinced of it tbh (and not because they weren't great fic!!). It seems just completely traumatic for Adrien in a way that the scenario inherently cannot properly focus on, because it's all happening in the middle of an action scene and Adrien is too busy being Mid-Battle to properly have a cathartic breakdown about it all. I mean, Chat Blanc already showed us what would happen if he did have a breakdown mid-battle (and why wouldn't he?). And though it'd be fun to have a big triumphant moment of him defeating his abusive father, Adrien simply isn't a character who would find that scenario triumphant, or cathartic, or anything other than viscerally traumatic.
Also, I agree that it's unfair that Chat Noir was not present— like it was unfairly tilted in Ladybug's favor— but I don't think it'd be fair if he was present, either. Because Marinette is, in fact, the main character. The main character whose character arc is primarily focused on her finding her footing as a hero and discovering all the responsibilities that come with that power (as opposed to Adrien, whose character arc is moreso about freedom and identity). And let's face it, in a fight between Ladybug and Chat Noir and Monarch, nobody would be focused on Ladybug at all. It's not about her. It's not her fight. She'd just be there as moral support and an extra set of hands, which really doesn't work for her character arc at all and is completely unfair to her!
Basically, it would just be Chat Noir temporarily acting as the main character and having the worst time of his life in the most un-cathartic battle for him possible left completely traumatized with Ladybug in the background awkwardly trying to comfort him after the fact? And then the season ends? And then the next season presumably goes back to Ladybug being the main character? After a time-skip to the new school year? It's just an ending that I feel like is a lot better in theory than actually on paper. And you can probably make an argument for ways that it could be made to work, where it would enhance Ladybug's story in a meaningful way where she still feels like the main character, and would somehow be triumphant for Chat Noir despite it probably being the worst moment of his life, and somehow not make the rest of the series following feel like bonus content as opposed to a continuation of the story...... but, I dunno. I think it's a lot easier said than done.
The fact of the matter is, I've always been waaayyyy more interested in how the aftermath of Gabriel's defeat affects Adrien than the battle itself. Post-Hawkmoth defeat is one of my favorite types of fic for a reason, and it's because the aftermath can be so juicy, especially for Adrien as a character. I think whether or not Adrien is actually there in the battle itself has always been kind of irrelevant to me, because no matter how Gabriel is defeated, his defeat will have immense repercussions on Adrien's life going forward. And the way they did it, Marinette is now a part of it in a more active way, too. Which is good for her character!
( Also, if he was there to triumphantly defeat Gabriel, would that mean he would just.... watch his father die? of cataclysm? a-and.... nathalie would just.... die, too? so he'd have three dead parents after all that? who he watched all die (or, in emilie's case, saw her corpse)? or is this a scenario where MONARCH BEATS CHAT NOIR and still makes the wish? is that cathartic? for Adrien to lose to Gabriel? Frankly, I loved seeing Gimmi and The Wish, it's been teased for so long that I was expecting it, and I loved the fact that Nathalie got to live as her narrative reward for coming to her senses and trying to murder Gabriel with a crossbow. I like that we got to watch a full season of Gabriel painfully dying to a cataclysm— poetically inflicted on him by Adrien, but of Gabriel's own doing. I like that Nathalie has presumably adopted Adrien after having an arc of her trying to be a parent to him once she realized nobody else would, that's so much more interesting than any other alternative. I just don't see how all of these things, some of my favorite things that season 5 gave, can still all exist at once with Chat Noir present in the final battle in any way that's satisfying. )

Down bad...and a little unhinged
It only got worse after Theodore realized just how much he liked her violence. So much more worse that he thought that if he died by her hand it would all be worth it because not only was it by her hand but that she was touching him.
He was sure he was insane. His friends agreed on that fact, especially when he started to provoke the girl even more. His notes had also become more than promiscuous. Reddening the girls cheeks every morning. He was yet to receive a reply from the long haired girl, but her visual reactions were enough fuel.
The Slytherin boy was sitting at the breakfast table, right across from the pretty girl as usual, his chin resting in his hand as he stared at the girl.
Despite what she said, she was affected by him, all of him. It was infuriating, really. The words and promises on those papers he sent her every morning, every day, without fail, sparked something in her. Something she wished to bury deep down forever.
Sure, he was handsome, charming, rich, but he was arrogant and rude, and so immensely hot infuriating. He made her want to punch him. So far it was only slaps and harsh pushes, but she was close to punching him. So very very close.
It also took too much effort to avoid his gaze like this. It was insane, and a wonder as to how he continues to get good grades in all his classes when it seemed that his attention never left the girl when she was around.
The owls swooped into the great hall right on time, brings a grin to Theodores face as he watched his owl perch on her shoulder and neatly give her the note.
Despite her best efforts, the girl had become attached to the bird, so she reached up and scratched beneath the owls chin. It cooed contently and Theodores jaw twitches, he'd never wanted to be a damn bird in his life.
He'd ask what was wrong with him, but he knew there was no point because she was what was wrong with him. And he wouldn't be right until she was his. Not that she wasn't his already.
"Are you listening?" A blonde Slytherin girl snapped her fingers in front of Theodores face and his lips twisted into an annoyed frown. Blondie, as Theo had been calling her since he could not remember her name, would not leave him alone.
She claims that they had slept together once, and that it was the best thing she had ever experienced and that after months of denial she had finally realized that they were meant to be. Theodore thought the girl must be more delusional than him, and that's saying something.
Apparently the girl had been living under a rock since they're supposed "Best Night of Her Life" because everyone in Hogwarts knew Theo was more than obsessed with Y/N, and nearly everyone backed off, not bothering to shoot their shot with her or Theodore.
But there were still a few idiots, like Blondie beside him. "Teddy!" She whines and Theo cringes at the sound. He hated that nickname. It was ridiculous and childish.
Still, he ignored her, watching as his girl put off reading the note he'd written for her. The Blondie surprised him, by touching him. She had grabbed his chin, yanking his head towards her and forcing him to take his eyes off of his girl.
Did she have a death wish?
Theo didn't hold back his glare as he looked down his nose at her. He grabbed her wrist roughly and pulled her hand away from him. Her needy look paled and turned into something fearful, "Do not touch me." He utters the words low and threateningly.
"B-b-but-" She stutters, "But-"
"B-b-b- spit it out!" He snarls and she winces, perhaps he was being too harsh. But if he were anything less then she'd think she had a chance and Blondie needed to know that there was no one for him than the girl who had his owl perched on her shoulder.
"She!" She points across the room, "She touches you!" At this a smile touches Theos lips. Damn right she touched him, sure it was only her slapping, pinching his side, pulling at a strand of hair, and pushing him into fountains and other things, but she touched him nonetheless. And she'd touch him much more if Theo got his way.
"And only her." He says simply, then releases her wrist like she burned him, "Now leave me alone. And get rid of the ridiculous notion that we're soulmates, because my soulmate is sitting right over there." He points across the room, extending his arm fully, with the full intention of others seeing. He knew many people were listening in on the conversation.
Good, he thought. Let this be a message, let everyone know that she is his as he is hers.
That's it for this fic. Dunno how to continue. Might make another one, this is the second one and a follow up from this fic.
Also, sorry if it's a little confusing. I really hate using 'Y/N'

In the accidental overlord AU, what happens after Vaggie learns she's an overlord. If she cashed out all her favors at once, then there wouldn't be an AU. So how does she react to her sudden immense politcal power?
Also, does Carmilla still clock her as an Exorcist? Because if she tells Zeistal, then Frank would overhear it. And then if Frank overhears it, they would presumably tell Alastor. Also Sir Penteous, but he probably wouldn't believe Frank about that either.
Well, she doesn't know the first thing about being an overlord and doesn't trust Alastor at ALL to help her. The man is sketchy af in her eyes(justified)
Now that I think about it more I actually think that when the other lern Husk might like, take her under his wing, he was a former overlord after all and she clearly needs help and she trust him more then antlers over there
As for political power. Well, so, before she was disregarded a lot, yes she owned souls but she never used them, she was never a threat. Now she's showed up to an overlord meeting, and her being charlies girlfriend doesn't exactly help the sense she's dangerous
So I feel like other demons would leave the hotel alone, stear clear of the girls. For how VAGGIE reacts to it though, well that's a bit trickier
I honestly don't think she'd have much if a reaction? Unless it affects the hotel she doesn't care all thst much, she never wanted to be an overlord on the first place after all. If she did take advantage of it it'd probably be via helping chalrie with he hotel, maybe talking with Vox or something
As for Carmilla, well, she didn't tell zestial about vaggie in canon- at elats not when frank was around. But considering the au I can see her bringing up how 'that exorcist coming around finally claiming her title' doesn't help her situation, after all wouldn't she know who that exorcist she killed was? Will she tells other people?
frank would probably report it back to Al, if that happens, wether or not Al realizes he's referring to Vaggie is up for debate since frank woukd probably be like "and she's afraid of the exorcist" which doesn't provide much detail

I know everyone has done different circumstances of birth but I raise u one more
One where all of the humans r sent back to earth (including norm and max sorry guys) AND THEN they find spider
The opportunities r endless - in this universe jake sully has no choice but to adopt him because he's the only one who knows anything about humans (though this is pre neteyam so he still has no idea about baby's) neytiri and her acceptance is up in the air atm, I like to think she'd be a good step mum if not an actual mum to him - at least until the humans come back and she drifts from him
Ugh!!! The angst potential of him maybe still getting kidnapped, 2ould they still run away, how would he reac to being around all these humans (he really would be full navi) i need this in my soul
OH I LIKE THIS, I am very sad about Norm and Max tho cause I am a HUGE Norm Spellman stan, the man is truly an icon.
HOWEVER.
Making sure he had the technology to survive would be crazy. It would really have to be one of those fucking blessed by Eywa fics because why would the humans have left supplies laying around, and there aren't masks that are baby sized? So if he's not blessed then Neytiri, Jake, and Mo'at are taking turns living in Hells Gate to watch Spider until he can wear a mask. Spider and his daily guardian fucking around in the empty shell of Hell's Gate is such a bittersweet idea. I think he's the clans baby tho, especially if he's blessed. We'll focus on him being blessed, because it's easier.
He's Mo'at's little helper particularly, because before Neteyam Jake and Neytiri were really busy rebuilding and working, so Mo'at is just working with Spider just strapped to her chest or playing by her feet. He's a comforting little presence by her side. She didn't usually have someone with her all the time after Sylwanin died, Eytukan was always busy and Neytiri was never good at sitting still. But Spider gives her focus, and she knows he is a gift from Eywa to them all. For her, he is Sylwanin's warmth beside her learning to heal. To Jake, he is a reminder of his past and a vision of his future. For Neytiri, he is a chance to let go of immense pain.
If you come to get help from the tsahík you tell her what's wrong while holding the baby. Emotional support Spider, he's got a tiny tiny hand on your cheek and then the cut on your arm doesn't hurt as much. All the children that survived the war are obsessed with him, because he did too. He's a miracle, proof that you can get through anything (sometimes with a little help from Eywa), and I think it gives them a little comfort.
Neytiri takes a long time to warm up to him. She helps Jake and Mo'at care for him because she can see how much it helps them, how much he means to them. She likes him, he is cute and sweet and she sees how positively he affects her mate and her mother. But she can't look him in the eyes for almost a year. I think when she does, and she Sees him, it's after Neteyam is born and she sees the way Spider pats his cheek or cries when Neteyam is taken away from him. She remembers being upset when Sylwanin was gone when she was younger. I think after that she's ride or die for him, because Neteyam has a sibling, and that means the world.
Maybe they don't know who his father is, or his real name. Without Norm and Max and the other humans, Jake wouldn't know shit about how to check lol. Jake named him Spider because when they found him he had crawled out of the makeshift crib he'd been hidden in. Maybe they find out when the humans return, and Neytiri finds herself unable to look at Spider again. She's devastated, because he's been her SON for so long. She thought she was past this. She tries to hide it from him, talks to her mother and to Jake, but Spider notices. He spends the night with Mo'at and she cries to Jake thinking he hates her but he actually just didn't want her to have to see him, it's very emotional. Lo'ak tries to get his mind off of it by taking them to visit the old shack, to learn more about his real dad. Boom capture. Devastating, truly. They try to go after Spider but he's already at Bridgehead, and Jake comes to the horrible realization that going after him would mean more casualties than recoveries.
Spider in capture thinking his family hates him now and he's stuck with the man who caused it all, Neytiri in Awa'atlu thinking Spider hates her and she caused her family to be torn apart. Ultimate angst everyone.

Headcanon for the companions having children? 👀
This was fun! In true D&D fashion, I rolled a 🎲 to decide how many children each companion (besides Halsin and Astarion) should have. Luckily most of my rolls were low, because I think making five to six kids for everyone would've killed me. 😅
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🎲 Gale couldn't wait to settle down and have a child. He has a daughter named Abigail, whom he worships and adores. He never pushes her towards greatness, though she achieves it through curiosity, hard work, and nautral talent. With her father's support, she becomes a wizard of both world renown and incredible kindness, never feeling burdened or unloved. She is truly the apple of her father's eye.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🎲🎲 Karlach never thought she'd live to be a mother, but life surprised her in the best way. Not only did she survive the perils of Avernus, but she also gave birth to twins, Terra and Reeze. They would become celebrated demon slayers, traveling the Sword Coast for fun and protecting innocents from evil.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🎲🎲 Lae'zel adopts Xan (Freedom), and has a biological daughter named Vika (Hope). Both children, raised to be cherished and free of Vlaakith's tyranny, become symbols of a promising githyanki future, as well as the source of their mother's joy.
Tumblr media
Astarion, unable to conceive and unwilling to condemn a child to his vampiric way of life, remains childfree. He does, however, visit the Underdark as often as he can, during which time he ensures the spawn children are adjusting well to their new form. He also donates many stolen goods for the construction of their new city.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🎲🎲🎲 Wyll has three sons, Alder, Adam, and Cenric, all of whom inherit their father's best traits; honour, courage, and compassion. Despite his immense responsibilities, Wyll always makes time for them, encouraging them in all areas of their life. One becomes a politician, one a commander, and one a bard. He couldn't be more proud.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🎲 Shadowheart has a son, Linwyn, whom she showers with all the love and affection she lost to Shar's cruelty. She raises him firmly but fairly, except when he brings home an injured animal. Each time it happens, she just doesn't have the heart to turn it away. He becomes a devoted cleric of Selûne, as well as a successful animal physician.
Tumblr media
Halsin never has children, at least not in the traditional sense. Once the Shadowlands heal, he opens a large orphanage, dedicating his time to the dozens of children who come and go over the years. They never forget him or the positive impact he had on their lives.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🎲🎲🎲🎲 Minthara has three daughters and a son, Nayrene, Enthira, Curien, and Cheza. They are acceptable. Smart, strong, independent; everything she expects them to be. Though she rarely admits it out loud, they make her very proud.

Last day of @gwynrielweeksofficial!! Thank you for the excellent prompts and organising such a great event. It was such an amazing two weeks. So excited to read the fics I've missed and stare lovingly at all the new fan art!
So, since it's a free day, I thought I'd write a trope that I don't see much with Gwynriel - Accidental Pregnancy!
I've only written two chapters so far, and they're up on Ao3. (I don't know why, but I'm super nervous about sharing this one! Is the pregnancy trope controversial? It's a fun, fluffy, light-hearted journey! I promise.)

Unintended Consquences - Sneak Peak
It was the Valkyries' first Solstice at the River House, and Gwyn was impressed by the effort put into making it a magical spectacle. Of course, with it being the High Lady's birthday as well, nothing less was expected. Rhys fawned over Feyre, showering her with gifts and affection. Gwyn had never been celebrated like that on her birthday.
There was love, of course, but rarely gifts, so she didn't feel like she was missing out there. The priestesses didn't believe in them, opting for a life free from attachments to material possessions. That's why she never wore the necklace she received from 'a friend'. She felt no connection to it. The only items that held meaning for her were her friendship bracelet and a few books.
Affection, though. She missed that… a lot.
While growing up, receiving it from her mother, sister, and other priestesses was enough, but now there was a different desire, a strange new need— which had been growing for some time now.
She wanted someone excited to spend time with her and celebrate her. Someone to share her body and soul with. She was ready for it. And the countless smutty romances she read didn't help. She was wound up like a spring, eager for release. She needed to get out more, meet some males… maybe find love.
Nesta had suggested the pleasure halls, but alcohol and establishing boundaries didn't seem to mix. She needed a male who understood her need to be in control if they had sex, at least for the first time. She'd rather meet new people in sober environments, like a café or gallery. Maybe that would be her New Year's resolution: to put herself out there.
She nodded affirmatively to herself and knocked back the champagne she'd been cradling for too long. Once she emptied her glass, she went to grab another.
Half paying attention, her fingers brushed against the cool, rough ridges of a hand she knew well.
"Sorry, shadowsinger. After you," she said, retracting her hand from the same glass he was reaching for.
He didn't say anything, just picked it up and handed it to her before grabbing another one for himself. She nodded a thanks as he downed his and went for another.
"Bad night?" she quipped, observing as he effortlessly drank glass after glass of Rhysand’s finest champagne.
"About to be," he answered flatly before turning his attention toward the centre of the room where most of his family were situated, just finishing up the present portion of the evening.
Gwyn had received some thoughtful and practical gifts she would use: exotic spices from Emerie, romance books from Nesta and Cassian, and a reading faelight from Azriel, the same one he had given Nesta that Emerie and herself often tried to steal.
She didn’t have enough money herself to buy anything, so she had sung as a gift before dinner.
It seemed like something everyone enjoyed immensely, including Azriel's shadows, which danced around her during each tune. Feyre had cried, grabbing her for a tight hug when she finished. Rhysand had insisted it became a tradition and joked that Azriel would join her next year. She flushed slightly at the thought, remembering back to the previous Solstice when she’d asked him about his singing abilities. She thought it would be nice to have a duet partner for future events and made a mental note to tease him into submission for next year.
Someone clinked their glass lightly to grab everyone's attention.
"This will be quick. I promise," Elain said in her airy voice. "As you know, my mate has been very patient with me, allowing me the time to get to know him as my dearest friend before becoming my greatest love…"
Lucien grabbed her left hand, kissing the engagement ring he had placed there only a few weeks ago.
Elain turned to Lucien, gazing adoringly at him. "My love. Starting a new tradition, I actually got you a gift this year!"
A couple of people laughed, but she had no idea why that was funny.
Elain let go of his hand to reach for a small square slice of Feyre's birthday cake and stood before Lucien with her offering.
"My handsome mate, please accept this food as a token that I wish to accept our bond."
Lucien looked like he was going to cry, grabbing the sides of Elain's face to place a passionate kiss on her lips before stepping back to look at the cake in her hand.
"Right here?" he quipped, and another burst of laughter, especially from Cassian, rang through the room.
Gwyn guessed he had the mating frenzy on his mind.
Elain laughed. "Just eat the cake, Lucien!"
He chuckled and opened his mouth so she could feed him. All their family and friends cheered, offering the mates their congratulations… except for Azriel.
"What’s the matter, shadowsinger? Do you have an aversion to love?"
He snickered, taking a healthy sip of champagne before answering. "Just hard being surrounded by it."
She could certainly agree with that. Nesta and Cassian were not discreet with their affections, and Emerie and Mor were like horny teenagers since they started dating. Training was literally foreplay for the couples. And she wasn’t afraid to admit she was jealous.
Some of the other priestesses had started to date too, which irked her a little more. She was the first priestess to sign up for training, she was the first one to become a Valkyrie, and now others were going to surpass her in allowing males back into their world. That would end in the new year. Love, and sex, had to be waiting for her; she just had to go find it.
"At least we have each other to keep company," Gwyn quipped, raising her glass toward him. He chuckled, taking another sip. With centuries of tolerance under his belt, he was already multiple glasses ahead of her, while she felt a pleasant buzz after just one and a half.
He smirked in response. "Don't go falling in love, and you can stay my friend!"
"Friendship with conditions, how appealing!" Gwyn laughed, enjoying their banter as always. There was something about Azriel that brought out a playful side of her that few others ever saw.
"Seriously, Berdara. My shadows know a lot of secrets, including yours!" he teased, squinting at her with mock suspicion.
Gwyn feigned surprise. Of course, a spymaster would hoard secrets like treasure. "Enlighten me," she retorted with a grin.
"You're looking for ‘special’ someone," he whispered, leaning a little closer than usual, perhaps courtesy of the alcohol. Despite herself, she felt a blush creeping up her cheeks. She wondered how they’d figured it out. Maybe they could read minds!
"Tell them they're busybodies!" she exclaimed, shooting a stern look at the shadows lurking from behind his wings.
They dispersed in a flurry of movement as he replied with a smirk, "They already know that."
She chuckled, the sound low and teasing. "So, what if I am! You can’t expect me to be alone forever. And I'll never meet anyone hiding in the library."
Azriel's dark eyes sparkled with mischief. "You met me."
A slow, suggestive grin curled her lips. "True. But I want to meet someone who I can… train in other areas with!"
His smirk deepened, a playful glint in his eyes. "I hear I'm a good teacher."
A rush of heat flooded her cheeks, and she leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a husky whisper. "Are you propositioning me?"
His responding chuckle sent shivers down her spine. "Depends on your answer."

How the Alchemy of Souls Season 1 Ending Perfectly Demonstrates Yeong's Guilt, Uk's Persistence, and the Beauty of their Bond
I should hate the ending of Alchemy of Souls season 1. Jin Mu's random contrived bells showing up and being used as a pivotal series-defining plot-point in the same episode drives me just as insane as it did Mu-deok. And it kills me to watch two characters who are defined by their ability to challenge the world and resist fate succumb to its pressures (note: I don't think this is a flaw in the series since it's simply a fraction of the overarching theme the story is trying to convey but boy did it hurt). I should have been so massively disappointed and yet the climax itself runs rent-free in my head a full year after I saw it for the first time.
First of all, we finally get sword-fighting Yeong again and in the absolute worst way possible. It creates this wonderful cognitive dissonance in your head where you're simultaneously crying in angst while cheering on Jung So-min as she puts on the performance we've been longing for the entire show.
Next, there's the behemoth stabbing scene itself. When Mu-deok regains consciousness in Uk's arms, there's a brief look of confusion in her eyes likely due to the gaps in her memory, the heaving of his voice, the desperate way his arms are wrapped around her, or maybe even the blood seeping between them. But the first thing she says even before processing everything is: "Jang Uk? ...Did I do this?"
Despite embracing the ruthless assassin lifestyle (a hard path she undertook due to the love she felt for her family and the immense grief felt in their loss), Yeong does care about other people. We know this through the way she slyly sneaks in affection towards Uk, helps Yul heal and let go of the guilt he's held onto since running into her as children, and offers Go-won an esoteric companionship they both come to value greatly. In season 2, through amnesiac!Yeong, we're given an even clearer glimpse at her intrinsic compassion through the unhidden empathy she shows to practically everyone she meets.
But the real Cho-Yeong spent years of isolation in Danhyanggok's cruel winters training, breathing, and living for revenge. Knowing only how to kill and draw blood, of course Yeong believed she'd end up hurting anyone stupid enough to come too close. It's why her first instinct is to shear off every potential bond she could make: to protect herself from any more loss and to protect others from her. When it became impossible to deny the love she and Uk shared, Yeong chose to wield it callously to avoid getting attached, to remind him and her that she wasn't round-faced Mu-deok who was free to earn and give affection. She was Naksu. Undeserving, dangerous, poisonous Naksu. We see this thought process and self-denial make a reoccurrence in season 2 when Yeong immediately distances herself from Uk the second she gets her memories back, even if it agonizes her, because she can't bear to hurt him again.
Rather than assigning blame to Jin Mu, she takes her sword through Uk's chest as mere confirmation of what she always believed: how could the ruthless shadow assassin that lives off revenge be allowed to love and be loved?
Yeong's guilt is especially ironic when paired with Jang Uk having no doubt in his mind that she's innocent. He gets stabbed and just pulls her close before he's even able to process what's going on because they'd been there before at Jeojingak when he had her hold a sword to his neck.
Jang Uk is the first and only person, really, to hold complete confidence not in Yeong's prowess as a mage but in her character and ability to care. And it means more because as her pupil, he's the person (aside from herself) that Yeong's been the harshest with. She continually put his life in danger whether through poison or overtraining or by inciting death matches, and hurts him again and again with words and actions (gambling the jade egg) meant to prod right at his insecurities. Yeong had thought this would be enough to keep him at bay, to force him into a transactional relationship where she wasn't afraid he'd run away too soon and yet wouldn't let herself build up hope that he'd actually stay when the terms of their initial agreement were met.
Except.
Uk had already seen glimpses of that lonely girl Yeong buried inside and actually tried to understand her, failing at times but doing his best to make sense of the way she thinks without judgement. In the process, he realized just how much Yeong values the people she loves, how much she wants to protect those who've shown her even the ounce of kindness she doesn't think she deserves. That's how he knows, instinctively, that she couldn't have stabbed him. It's how he knows she wouldn't even fight Dang-gu (although, I'm not sure if he was aware that she killed Cho-yeon's father before arriving in the forest). Because how could someone who's so grateful for the love they deem themselves undeserving of cast it aside so easily?
And finally, because somewhere along the way this post devolved from a loosely structured rant over one scene to a frantic gush over these two ridiculously endearing characters, the beauty of the climax is shown in the way Uk just watches helplessly as Yeong struggles and breaks down in a way so uncharacteristic of the stoic, emotion-swallowing woman who could only say "I like you" under copious amounts of alcohol. It's so unbelievably soft (idk, maybe I'm just a lunatic) when he slowly searches for her hand, using the last pieces of his strength and then some to lace their wounded fingers together, somehow managing to use his entire blood-soaked body in the last 2 minutes to show her that she has his entire heart, whether she deserved it or not, and there wasn't anything she could do that would make him leave.
of course, these are just my interpretations of the characters. Maybe I'm completely off or reading way too much into it.
tl;dr: I have a lot of criticism for certain aspects of Alchemy of Souls, but the relationship Jang Uk and Cho Yeong share is so powerful. Though tragic and shockingly reliant on plot-convenience, the finale of season 1 depicts their relationship beautifully by illustrating the depth of their trust and reliance on the other. Also, UkYeong has rooted itself thoroughly in my head. I've never been so invested in a ship, someone send help!!!!!

I'm female and I'm 1,59. I'm thin, and thanks to my height it makes my build smaller than I'd like to be. My skin is brown, I have curly hair, dark brown eyes and I wear glasses. I like to watch old movies, read books, nature and play with my cats (I'm boring, I know lmao). My personality is more reserved, I don't open up easily and I don't talk much either, only if it's important or if they ask my opinion about something. I prefer to be alone most of the time, but when I'm with the person I like, I make a point of devoting all my attention to that person and trying to spend quality time with the person I love. I would really like to know who you would send me with! ❤️ (Can be from Yan!Greek, Yan!Historical or Yan!Egypt!)
I ship you with the goddess Artemis and the god Anubis!
Artemis is reserved and spends her days with you and her Huntresses, though she prefers to spend her days with you alone. You two enjoy each other's company immensely which makes her super happy. She is very protective and will love to teach you how to hunt if you want, she is a lover of animals and would definitely want to raise some with you, cats are always an option but let's not forget about deer too. Artemis would love to read with you, just the two of you in the quiet of the night reading a good book, she would lay her head in your lap and close her eyes, enjoying the sound of your voice as you read to her. These are the two of you's most sacred moments, and it would be even better if your cat were by your side. She's not the type to talk a lot, but she will do it for you, but she'd rather be content to listen to you talk while she admires you. She's taller than you and she loves that, it's cute to see how small you are compared to her and the goddess loves holding you, keeping you safe in her arms.
The goddess of the hunt is totally in love with you and she doesn't even try to hide it, you two are a great match and she knows it.
Anubis is the silent and quiet type, he rarely speaks and when he does he usually puts fear in many people. However, he loves to talk to you and is always so calm and kind that he doesn't even seem like that god so feared by all mortals. He's so soft and loves to watch you, which can be a little unsettling, but he doesn't mean anything bad. He's not much of a cat person, but he won't mind having one to please you, just you, and maybe he'll develop an affection for those adorable fur balls. You are so short compared to him and he takes advantage of this, picking you up and joking about your height. He likes you to read to him, but he won't object to watching an old movie with you or listening to some music. The activity doesn't matter as long as he's with you. Anubis is quite jealous and he will not react well to jealousy, he is capable of killing that person who made him jealous, although he will never lift a finger to hurt you. Anubis loves to run his hands through his locks, his curly hair leaves him stunned by how beautiful he is. Everything about you screamed perfection to this god. He would definitely be the type to steal your glasses and test to see, which would be comical given the fact that he has the head of an animal.
Anubis is so sweet and precious to you, he loves you so much and wants to make you happy next to him.

How would the ROs react when the MC gives them a present
(Viktor better like it)
😆 dw anon Victor is actually a sweetheart deep, deep down!
I thought this was adorable and ended up doing a little drabble for all ROs I hope it's not too long lol. I might keep doing the drabble thing if I see it fitting the ask!
Dante is used to being the one giving gifts while receiving nothing in return so, he's quite shocked even if the gift happens to be something small and casual. His initial reaction would be to ask 1000 times whether MC is sure, whether the gift is really for him, and whether MC meant to give it to someone else. Once the shock wears off Dante would be so delighted and excited! He's that kind of person (demon? being?) who loves surprises and changing plans and he wouldn't even try to pretend and play cool about it. Dante would probably end up giving MC something in return so he can "repay the favor" tho. Maybe wouldn't buy something (because he's broke) but he'd find a way.
[It’s only now when Dante is finally holding your gift, that you see how his eyes light up with mirth, pupils darting back and forth between you and the trinket. The disbelief is still clear in his eyes, but it has dimmed down by the unfiltered cheer cursing through him.
“This is for me,” Dante repeats slowly. He holds the trinket close to his chest. As if afraid you’d say ‘no’. You nod either way, and the small bob of your head is the catalyst for the brightest smile you’ve ever seen on the demon “This is for me! And you’re not taking it back.”
“Dan,” you sigh his name fondly “It’s just—”
“Shush! It’s mine now,” Dante insists. Though he tries to tame his voice into neutrality, holding back his emotions has always been something Dante is terrible at. The demon grasps your hand and tugs you towards him “Thanks a bunch!”]
---
Situation-wise, Lilith is Dante's opposite. They've been spoiled before and they've exchanged gifts with people. It's been a while since it's been a personal thing though (nowadays gifts for her are practically bribes or attempts to get on her food side). If MC was the kind of person who likes to give gifts she probably wouldn't be all that surprised. If MC makes an exception for Lilith she would notice the change too, and that would feel just as special as the gift MC got for her. I'd say she's very detail-oriented and she'd find a meaningful way to make MC feel special too even if it's not through another gift.
[As soon as you show them your present, you see Lilith grinning, looking up/down at you eagerly, expecting you to make the move and relishing the possible ways you might do it. With a subtle nod, they prompt you to act. Their eyes flicker briefly towards the gift in your hands.
“I got you something,” you say, and hand it to them.
Amusement floods Lilith’s gaze. They take the present from you, they hold it carefully—but they are only looking at you. Like you’re the greatest gift she could have received. Affection has never been something they’ve tried to disguise, but the moment they channel it at you feels almost like a fire being fanned.
“Thank you, love,” they say softly “Can I?”
When you nod, you expect them to unwrap the gift. Instead, they step closer to you, lean up/down, and press a chaste kiss to your cheek.]

Josh is a bit of a contradiction. He receives gifts like he receives compliments: though he likes and feels grateful for them, Josh is immensely awkward about them. Answering properly is something he just doesn't know how to do. It's kinda funny to see Josh break a little when he's always so careful and in control of situations. If MC is someone who has always enjoyed giving gifts he resorts to some sort of default answer that Josh always uses, which he also does when it's his birthday lol. If it's unusual for MC to give gifts Josh's mind would probably shatter trying to find an answer. Dw, inside he's very happy, he just doesn't know how to articulate that.
[“Oh.”
That’s all Josh says for a few seconds. You know him, and you give him time. Your best friend looks like he’s on the verge of a mental breakdown.
“Oh, wow. Fuck.”
“You don’t like it?” you tease him.
Josh scoffs, almost offended by the suggestion that he could dislike anything you’d do. He grips your present a little tighter, rolls his eyes fondly, and doesn’t even force back the smile that threatens to spill.
“Of course I do. You know I do,” you can practically see the gears in Josh’s mind turning as his entire posture shifts awkwardly. Like he wants to draw in himself in an attempt to hide from your inquisitive eyes. He ultimately sighs with finality “Thank you, Dot. Seriously.”]
---
Villanelle is the happiest woman alive. If she likes you romantically or as a friend, she's probably given you hundreds of little gifts (cookies she baked or bought, flowers, little doodles, etc). Villanelle has a lot of fun thinking about her silly presents and she believes that sharing is caring. She'd adore receiving gifts and would think of it as an exchange. Villanelle is cheerful and bubbly 90% of the time and she only lights up more when MC does something that makes her happy.
[When she sees you, Villanelle smiles. Then, she looks down, and the gasp the sight of the present draws out of her is dramatic, almost exaggerated. Finally, she shrieks with excitement.
Villanelle is upon you in less than a second. One hand grips the gift and the other is tightly wrapped around your midsection.
“Oh my God,” Villie mumbles when she pulls away. She points at the gift, at you, at herself, buzzing like a little fly with too much energy and too little time “Oh my God!”
“You like it?”
“I love it, silly!” she grins happily. And you believe her. Everything about Villanelle screams genuine glee “You’re amazing.”]
---
Victor is genuinely confused. It probably never crossed his mind that he'd get a present. He doesn't even get presents on his birthday lol (Alekto tried to figure out when he was born but has been unsuccessful). He'd probably think MC wanted something out of him if he didn't know them all that well. Victor isn't all that expressive so he (seemingly) might not even react at all. But seriously despite seeming very aloof, Victor is just very clueless about his feelings and how to properly act on them.
I made Vic's drabble a little longer because this ask was especially about him lol.
[You wonder if Victor would get mad if you laughed. You almost do, when he holds the gift like he’s afraid he might break it. Victor’s jaw is tense, his entire posture is, the discomfort and awkwardness seem to have overcome his very being.
“Who do you want me to give this to?”
That’s the moment you do laugh, much to his dismay. Victor frowns but says nothing. And you take the time to explain.
“It’s for you. I wanted to give you a gift.”
His frown deepens, “Why?”
“I wanted to.”
The giant Exorcist mutters something under his breath. Probably a complaint about your vagueness. But Victor doesn’t seem unhappy anymore. His posture relaxes little by little—you see it clearly, you’re close enough—, shoulders dipping slightly and muscles releasing the tension Victor seems to embrace readily.
With gentle care, he shifts and holds the present with one hand. The other is too busy coming up, slowly, to rest upon your head. Victor pats you twice, staring inquisitively into your eyes. The question is obvious: is this okay? You make sure to smile widely up at him. ‘Yes, it is. It is more than okay.’
“Thanks,” he says simply. Victor’s hand falls limp by his side.
“You’re welcome.”]
---
Aliyah has probably even forgotten what a present is. That's how long she's been without receiving anything, and giving to people who definitely shouldn't have a genie. Aliyah's first reaction is just a frown. Then she'd probably laugh, or force herself to laugh. Aliyah really hates it when someone has the upper hand. If it's an MC whom she's close to. She'd probably say something snarky and seem kind of annoyed. Whatever the trinket is she'd definitely keep though (even if she's not that close to MC).
[“What’s this?” she asks with a sigh. When you open your mouth to explain the meaning and origin of your present, Aliyah rolls her eyes, “Don’t answer.”
You see the conflict well enough to heed her words and stay quiet. To call it conflict feels like undermining whatever Aliyah is feeling, though. Her eyes are a storm. She’s barely holding back a frown, not even her smirk seems sincere. Aliyah purses her lips and stares at the present.
“I’m not going to owe you, you know? This—” her violet gaze finally flickers up to look back at you “This is a one-sided thing.”
‘Things’ are often one-sided with Aliyah, or so she insists on claiming. You smile patiently, “I know. That’s why it’s a gift. Not a bribe.”
That makes Aliyah chuckle, and she thankfully sounds a little lighter than before.
“A pity,” she teases “It nearly worked.”]
---
I've mentioned a few times what it's like being a demon but I've never said anything about angels... Let's just say they don't get gifts often. Nathan likes playing cool. He doesn't like taking situations all that seriously. If MC gives him a gift Nathan would tease them about it (he wouldn't be too mean about it). His true emotions are tightly kept under wraps, but not because he isn't grateful. He is! Nathan is just very sure that being funny is the best course of action and he's dying on that hill. He'd probably run away before Azriel appeared to spew what Nathan truly feels lol.
[Nathan presses a hand to his chest, presenting to you the very image of overdramatic flair. He points towards your present, a silent request for him to hold it, and when you nod Nathan smirks and takes it from you.
“You naughty human,” he tuts “If I didn’t know you I’d say you’re trying to win the favor of an angel! How scandalous.”
You frown, “I—”
“Are my miracles worth this much? You know you could have asked,” You also know that Nathan is lying “Unfortunately! That’s not possible.”
“Nathan, I don’t—”
“I’ll just pay you back some other way, yes?” he winks playfully.]

Whatever MC gives Eden is probably the first present she's received in a long time too. Gifts are such a foreign concept to her she'd probably squint at it like she was trying to figure out whether it's a bomb or not. Eden probably thinks she's about to receive bad news lol and she'd just forget to thank MC and wait for them to drop the metaphorical bomb. Whether MC explains or not Eden ends up understanding, finally gives her thanks and genuinely wonders whether she's supposed to get them something back in return.
[Eden grabs the present like it could burn her if she allowed herself to touch it properly. With the tips of her fingers and her arms slightly stretched out. You wonder what expression she would make if she was a little less aloof. But as it stands, she stares at you with a dead seriousness clinging to her eyes. Like you could burn her.
“Um,” you mumble “Do you like it?”
“Huh?” Eden tilts her head.
“The gift. Do you like it?”
“Oh,” the woman finally relaxes, and she pulls the present towards her. You wonder if Eden was trying to figure out what it was. Now, though, she’s trying to figure out your intentions. Eden stares at you with eyes that are slightly narrowed, but you know her well enough to see the appreciation swimming in her white, iris-less pools “I do. Thank you.”]
I hope y'all like the drabbles this took me the entire day to write 😶‍🌫️

Chapter 2: For duty. For the alliance. For Orin's death.
She was miserable, lost, and she was tipsy enough - on top of that, her walls had enough cracks for him to find a way inside.
He expected her to tell him to stop; he thought she'd realise she was making a mistake - but that realisation never came. He could calmly navigate to his enormous bed he had been visiting alone in the past few months, and he could place her down on it without so much as a word.
He simply loved it when his plans went down without a hitch.
She still had her fingers entangled in his raven locks. Her lips felt hungry, needy, desperate for affection, and Gortash provided. This wasn't the first time he would bed someone to get closer to them, to form a bond in order to have a powerful ally. It mattered not if he truly wanted it or not; the greater good was always more important than his personal specifics or thoughts on the other participant. He'd bedded handsome men and beautiful women, but also other powerful figures he wouldn't even look at otherwise.
Tonight, it was different.
When he was finally able to pull away from her to look in her eyes - no easy task, she didn't want to let him go -, and saw her laying under him, her hair spread around her face like a halo, her eyes glistening with the remainder of her tears and awakening lust... there it was again. That stirring. The one he hadn't felt for years. Not since he'd attended that funeral. It was a feeling he thought he'd lost that day, forever. And he wasn't sure he was ready to risk losing it again. An unlikely alliance, born in times of need, leading down a path he couldn't foresee, not for long enough for him to be aware of it's consequences.
He put his trust in her that she would not betray him. He put his trust in her to deal with Orin, to strike where he couldn't. He put his trust in her that once she had two of the three stones, she wouldn't come for his head when she finally understood the immense power they beheld.
There were too many ifs and too much doubt for his liking. Was there guarantee she wouldn't turn on him when the time came? He needed to make sure she would never…
Tav's hands moved to cup his face. Enver closed his eyes, his inner turmoil carefully hidden.
For the greater good.
For duty. For the alliance. For Orin's death.
Do not fail.
Do. Not. Fall.
"Are you alright?"
Her question was met with a small smile. He looked down on her, admiring the way she looked like in his bed again.
"Why wouldn't I be?"
Tav looked suddenly confused.
"I... don't know. You looked… detached…"
The situation reminded her of the nights she'd spent with Astarion. When they agreed to try sex again, only for him to shut down. She never, ever made him feel like it wasn't alright; that she didn't understand what he was going through. Knowing his past, she understood. To her, sex wasn't even important with him. She loved him dearly for who he was; his theatrical motions and jokes and the sound of his voice. His little teases and comments about others that were always on point. The shenanigans. The trust and deep level of understanding. At least... from her side. She gladly threw her needs out the window to make him feel safe. She did not care. Her own needs did not matter to her.
Looking back… she couldn't decide if she meant anything to Astarion, after all that happened between them.
He still requested to try it from time to time. Under no pressure from her, of course. And there were a few occasions when it worked between them, and when it did, it was mind blowing. But it was more likely that he'd detach in the early stages of foreplay, and they always stopped right then and there.
She was completely used to her needs rarely being met with a partner. And Enver had no idea of that. He couldn't know any of the sacrifices she'd made for another. So, when he rolled his hips against her and she blushed at the speed of light, he smirked; unknowing what was going on in her head.
"I apologize, my dear. That sherry, coupled with your beauty, confuses me a little." Once he was sure his explanation was sort of satisfactory – at least, he managed to make her blush a deeper red –, he locked her with a more serious look. "So, what will tonight be? One occasion? Or perhaps the first of many more?"
His question was met with confusion written on her face. She contemplated every option she had; trusting Gortash was stupid, foolish, probably a death sentence, too – but she'd been miserable enough to forget everything for a night. Just for once… this once… she wanted to have fun. To not to care about the future. To see where this would lead, not caring about the consequences.
And thus, she decided.
"One night, nothing more, nothing less."
Gortash hummed; visibly liking the concept right now, but hoping against his wish that it won't be just one night for them. In any case, he was ready to make her squirm tonight. And he knew he would; he learned all the tricks over the years, and he was determined to try each and every one of them. So even if she left – even if she found another partner out there, they would be wretched in comparison to him.
"I can't wait to see your face when I make you cum."
Oh. Oh? Suddenly flustered, she looked away.
"Do you like to embarrass people?" She mewled and stirred under him, making him chuckle.
"Embarrass? My dear, there's nothing embarrassing about someone wanting to please you."
"I'm- that's- I'm not really used to that", she confessed.
If he played his role well tonight, he'd reconstruct her ideas about partnership. If he did it well, he could bind her to himself in more than one way; their alliance could be just the start. She'd hand him the stones willingly, and she wouldn't leave his side if he didn't want her to. Also… if she proved useless for him in the long run, he could get rid of her much more easily if he gained her trust.
He just had to take one step at a time. And he just had to be very careful not to slip up himself.
"Well then", he leaned down to kiss her softly, and he smiled during it when he felt her eagerness to respond to his advances. "Let me have you – my way."
Who knew men were capable of showing so much care and dedication to a mere one night stand? Her nervousness built as he undressed her – shushing her when she acted uncertain, guiding her on the path he wanted to take –, and it just grew when he busied himself between her thighs with his mouth. His hot, wet tongue, those silky lips… locking around her button of nerves and gently giving it a suck.
Tav's mind went blank as Gortash worshiped that spot on her body – in a way no one has ever did so, and she had quite a lot experience under her belt by the time they've met. She'd laid with pirates and assassins (who were sent to kill her, no less), nobles and dragon slayers but by the gods, Enver had experience unmatched. He definitely rivaled Astarion's expertise, and given the fact the vampire had nearly two hundred years to perfect his skills, that was something. The pleasure was indescribable. Tav tensed – in a different way –, and he kept his dark eyes on her all along, watching for reactions, learning quickly what she enjoyed, carefully pushing her to the edge, then over it, without hesitation, giving her everything she wanted in that moment. Ecstasy, written on her face as she writhed and slammed her hands on his bed to grab the sheets, brought him immense pleasure. He was gripping her waist to keep her in place, in order to let her ride her high. His golden claws left soft marks in her skin as they dipped against it.
He won. He had his claws, buried deep inside of her, and she didn't even know. Now, it was time to claim his prize.
"Mm…" She hummed as her breathing was still shallow and quick, her heart beating hard and fast against her ribcage. She couldn't even open her eyes; a part of her wanted to go to sleep immediately, after such an earth shattering orgasm. "By Selûne…"
"Selûne?"
Gortash echoed quietly as he was silently unbuckling his belt. The unmistakable sound of it clicking open had Tav crack her eyes open, too, and the way she sucked her lower lip between her teeth to bite down on it in anticipation was worth every second of scheming that led here. He smirked, because he knew what would come next, while she had no idea. His belt hit the floor before his coat followed. Tav visibly tensed on the bed again, her eyes sized him up with a newfound curiosity. She'd been wondering what he was hiding under that coat and she finally saw it. His coat made him look bigger, sure, but without it he still looked massive. How could he maintain such a form if he was neck deep in politics? She couldn't imagine him going for training. Then how did he look so strong?
She felt the bed dip near her feet when he knelt up on it, and her heart suddenly was up in her throat. Tav tensed with anticipation again. Warmth. She was looking forward to feel his warmth. Around her, and inside of her.
It's been so long. So. Long.
"Are you a Selûnite, Tav?"
His quiet question rumbled deep in his chest as he was taking his shirt off. Fuck. He was shredded. The dark hair that ran down to his belly button – and below it – couldn't hide the toned muscles. He was definitely doing something when he wasn't in the court, but what could that be? Heavy lifting? Why on Faerûn would he do that? Didn't he have people to do that for him?
"Tav?" Gortash tutted when he saw how her eyes widened at the sight of his chest. "Concentrate, darling. I asked you a question."
"I'm-" She furrowed her brows, her hands gripping the sheets again. "No, I'm not a Selûnite. At least… I feel sort of… drawn to her, but I'm not worshiping her."
"You never had to align yourself to a specific god as a Paladin?"
His question stung. She averted her eyes; she didn't want to think about her failure, not now, not here.
"Don't call me that", she whispered.
"But that's what you are", Gortash leaned down to gently wrap his right hand's fingers on her jaw. He pecked her lips. She didn't look at him. "You are a Paladin."
"I'm an Oathbreaker."
Her voice sounded off, as her emotions formed a lump in her throat.
"Still the same. You did not lose all of your powers; they've just changed. Look in my eyes." Enver waited, but she did not comply. Watching as her eyes welled up with sadness again, he placed gentle, soft kisses on her cheeks; his lips inevitably kissing away her tears. "Tav", he added when he pulled away a little again. "Look in my eyes." When she reluctantly did so, he fixed her with a stern look. "You are just as powerful as you were. You can do whatever you want to do, and more."
"How?"
"My dear, I'm sure you are aware that you have more special powers at your fingertips now", Enver slid his hands down on her body, squeezing her hips ever so gently before he pulled her legs up. She complied; it was so easy to manipulate her mind and body to his taste. "Raise those who wronged you, use them to crush those who turn against you. It's all there now, aiding you in your quests."
"To kill Orin, you mean", she murmured, her hands resting on his gold clad upper arms as she felt him move his last garments out of the way.
"Just imagine yourself, raising her allies to aid you when you're fighting her. She'd feel real horror gripping her heart at last, after making all of us feel terror she inflicted… wouldn't that feel glorious?"
He kissed her cheek, then travelled down her jaw and neck, making her shiver.
"You make it sound so… appealing", she admitted softly, then moaned as he penetrated her. Her hands gripped his arms tighter, and she shut her eyes as she adjusted to his girth. "Oh gods-", she gasped, making him smirk in her neck.
"Be my Paladin", he whispered in her ear, making goosebumps raise all over her body as he rolled his hips against hers, filling her up with his length.
She shivered and moaned deliciously, and his arms wrapped around her to keep her still when she squirmed. After what he did to her, she felt overstimulated, but Enver wasn't about to let her get away now. He picked up the pace. Every time his hips slammed against hers, she moaned with pleasure, and as he was watching her, he ignored his own racing heart with one thought ringing in his mind.
Do not make the same mistake.

i know a lot of people prefer the idea that meta's dimensional cape is also his wings & magical in nature, but i'm more in favor of the idea that meta hides his wings in his cape via his own use of dimensional magic, as concealment & masquerade has always been a big theme for me when regarding meta
this kind of leaks into some of my own gijinka stuff where his wings are oddly not there/have no volume in the outfit - i like to imagine that he's mastered dimensional magic so well that he knows how to separate his wings from the cloth & not his entire back (or else he'd sink into his outfit or even funnier, something comes out of his outfit)
this means that there's a possibility that someone traveling in the same dimension meta is hiding his wings in may randomly see a pair of wings connected to nothing flexing itself as if they are still alive
he probably just hides them in a random closet in his room though, that'd make more sense
this leads to my very own headcanon that he has a large affinity towards dimensional magic in general - that it was maybe the first form of magic he learned before everything else he knows currently, so it's the only magic he doesn't mind using as much outside of swordplay, kind of like a guilty pleasure
in contrast to this, i have a headcanon in which susie has an immense fear of dimensional magic as after all, it's what caused her life to suddenly go upside down with the whole space-time transport program via star dream
this doesn't help that the sphere doomers - which have the ability of dimensional magic - may have tried to attack her as well, making it most likely difficult for her to escape or protect herself while stuck in the another dimension as a child
after returning back to her father, she's managed to seemingly suppress this fear pretty well, but i imagine it still does greatly affect her mentally when she sees dimensional magic in action (but more than just hiding parts of your body in your clothing, i don't think she or anyone would be even aware that meta did that unless he actually told them)
so i'd like to imagine that when she learns about meta's affinity for dimensional magic, she'd be a little bit fearful of him but also deeply admire him for dabbling in it like it's nothing, especially since she sees it as something that can completely ruin your life
& to add a bit of metasusie into the mix, what if there's a scenario in which meta helps susie get over her inherent fear of dimensional magic? i feel like it'd be really interesting to see not only susie being very vulnerable, but meta being vulnerable as well as he tries to empathize with her on a subject he adores
sorry for the long post, meta being secretly a wizard seems so interesting to me, especially when tying it with susie

MEET: EDNA NAMIKAWA
Tumblr media Tumblr media
◈Age: 54
◈Job: Before the time of her hospitalization, this retired nurse was a housewife.
◈Relationship Status: Second and immensely treasured wife of Hiroshi Namikawa. It's been 25 years and she still can't place what she did to deserve such love and affection but she appreciates it anyway. Then, return it 10 fold.
◈Family: Aside from her husband and daughter, Edna has no family living in Japan. Most of her family lives in the states. Before she got sick, Hiro made sure to fly her and Arika out a couple times a year to see her family for as long as she could remember. She almost forgot what being homesick was even like. For what she lacks in Japan, she makes up for it back home. She's the 5th youngest of 21 children- So, to say that she comes from a big family is a bit of an understatement. It may have contributed greatly to why she wasn't initially thrilled when she found out that she was pregnant with Arika all those years ago. It wasn't the sole reason (of course) but remembering her childhood made her petrified of motherhood. She's happy with her decision now though. She wouldn't trade her daughter for anything in the world.
◈Friends: Being the wife of a man like Hiroshi Namikawa comes with a lot of social pressure but Edna navigates it so elegantly that people naturally gravitate toward her with little effort from her end. She's made friends with the wives of Hiroshi's associates. Ironically, she knows that he truly can't stand but she's nothing if not graceful. So, they would never know it. Oh, of course! Hiro would love for the four of us to go to your husband's favorite golf resort. I'll be sure to run it by him but you know that man's schedule. He can never seem to give himself time to unwind! I just give him an earful about it... *playful sigh* But, men. What can we do? Hehe.
◈Hobbies: She's the reason Arika took up sewing to begin with. In fact, she taught her a lot of what she knows. She likes to make new things, she likes to fix old things and she likes mixing the old with the new and seeing what comes out of it. A lot of the cast can point to at least one, minimum, article of clothing that Edna has made for them at some point in time. It's not professional by any means but it's pretty good for someone self-taught. She likes to crochet as well. She's recently, taken up quilting but she only intends to make the one and leave it alone. Edna also has a knack for baking which makes her someone that people can call when they're struggling with homemade desserts. Also, (and this will come up alot) but she thoroughly enjoys singing, too. As a housewife, Edna found it was best to keep herself busy with little hobbies as much as possible.
◈Favorite food: There's no way around it: Red velvet cake. It's not food. It's dessert but still it's the best thing since sliced bread in her eyes. She's got a recipe for red velvet cake that can knock the Lord's socks off- her words, which is saying a lot because she tries to avoid blasphemy (funny). The real secret is in her cream cheese frosting but she'll never tell. Not even Hiro knows and he knows everything.
◈Favorite Item: For her 50th birthday, Hiroshi, Arika and Kenjiro all chipped in to get her this top of the line sewing machine and cabinet that she'd been eyeing for some time. She could have bought it any time but she hated spending large amounts of money on herself. And a person spending large amounts of money on her made her uncomfortable, which was why Hiroshi wasn't allowed to buy it for her. They all rationalized that if they portioned off the price, it wouldn't be as bad and she couldn't say no to all of them. She loved it so much that she cried. She made sure to make use of it as often as she could so that their money didn't go to waste. When she was sad that she had to leave it behind when she was transferred to the Okinawa facility, Hiroshi somehow made sure that thing was in her room before she even touched the ground that morning.
Want to learn a little more about the others?
→ Goro → Hiroshi → Arika → Kenjiro

@nosomatsu @synthetixflora Y'all wanted more details about these ships so here you go:
I'll start with the easiest one: Amita x Goku (Amiku? Goita?).
Like I've mentioned before, non Gochi ships with Goku will only be done in an AU where Chi Chi died and couldn't be revived, so he's a widower. Amita would still meet Goku the same way she did (via buying his farm's produce from him) in the default verse, and would continue to interact with him. Eventually, I can see Goku opening up about his family and aspects of his personal life to her more and more, and she returning the notion (albeit at a slower pace) because he's just inviting like that.
Goku's carefree but very caring at the same time, which imo would mix well with Amita's reserved nature as he would be patient and understanding with how prickly she can get - especially on bad days. He wouldn't shy away from giving her affection & quality time, which she craves because love-starved n' all that.
Amita in turn would become devoted to him and, thanks to her heightened sense of perception, could pick up on what emotions Goku might try to hide and touch upon them for his sake. Additionally, Amita doesn't fall in line with typical societal norms when it comes to expectations in a relationship, so she would *very rarely* feel self-conscious over Goku having a late wife & still caring about her immensely. Whether she's "second place" or not is unimportant, as she's more concerned if Goku's just treating her right (and he would).
Overall, I honestly think they would develop a pretty solid bond. Goku's strongest love language is sparring or sharing physical activities, and since Amita's a decently experienced martial artist, they have that as a bridge to forming strong chemistry. Goku would definitely help her become a better fighter.
Lastly, while Amita would technically become Gohan and Goten's stepmom (Idk if Goku and Amita would end up marrying ngl), depending on timeline placements that's not going to influence much. Things would be cordial either way, as of course Amita isn't going to treat his kids bad and they're respectful boys so they wouldn't be rude to her or anything.
...Now. Amita x Vegeta (Amigeta? Vegmita?? Vegita). This is a very tricky one.
The biggest hurdle with them is figuring out how tf they would even start talking to each other. Because, Amita isn't a social person and Vegeta surely isn't. One of them would have to take the first step somehow, but unless there's a VERY good reason to cause it...neither of them would lol. The most plausible cause I can think of atm is Amita wanting to spar with Vegeta in particular. Maybe from Goku's recommendation?? Eh. Would Vegeta ever spar with Amita? Well, she isn't weak, but she wouldn't exactly give him that much of a challenge either. So.....who can say.
Let's say he decides to humor her and they steadily become sparring partners. Overtime, in periods of rest, I can see Amita trying to poke at him a bit in learning more about him since she barely knows anything at all. She'll be met with that standard Vegetaness™, but thanks to she at least proving she isn't a worthless sparring partner, maybe he'd eventually let some info about his past slip. Maybe the fact that Amita isn't a part of the Z-Fighters and thus doesn't already have any preconceptions about him, would soften the edges. She also wouldn't really care about his history or his race's history of planetary conquest, so she wouldn't stand on some stupid "holier than thou" pedestal.
Basically, she'd be non-judgmental with him, and would respect his boundaries. I don't think it's unreasonable to assume Vegeta would in turn start warming up to her a bit. Mainly in the sense of he not being AS hostile to her as he is with others. Furthermore, Amita would get stronger as she trained with him, and she would be genuinely thankful for it and his company. He'd brush her off of course, but she being openly sincere in actually having enjoyed their sparring and his influence? ...Hm. Maybe that would warm up the cold shoulders.
If he asked about it, Amita would open up about her past, her heritage, and how her clan handle the concept of fighting and ki control. Idk, maybe he'd find some aspects of it interesting. But them learning about each other and not being total strangers anymore would for sure have a hand in them building up chemistry. Their relationship's origin would be the SLOWEST of burns, without a doubt. Would take waaaay longer to form, compared to Amita x Goku.
Whenever it gets going? It's not much different from how their...friendship manifested. Just throw in Amita testing the waters to see if she can get more physically affectionate with Vegeta (like sitting closer to him, asking if she could hold his hand, etc etc). She would be the one who initiates most of the time. But I imagine there would be some moments where HE'S the one to sit close to her. Perhaps have his tail brush against her. Or even, wrap his tail around some part of her body. That would tickle her pink, and though she'd try to not be obnoxious about it, Vegeta would still notice how her face would light up or the smiles she'd wear because of it. Maybe that would encourage him to be a touch more affectionate, in his own ways.
Would they ever start living together? Amita would at least open her door up to him, if he ever wanted to live with her. I guess it would depend on Vegeta's own living situation. (If he has his own capsule house? He'd probably just stay there or move it closer to Amita's house. If he was stuck at Capsule Corp? Higher chance of him taking Amita up on that offer, because her presence is more tolerable than Bulma's. Yes I subscribe to the belief that Vegeta should've never married Bulma in canon because their relationship has ZERO on-screen chemistry.)
Would their relationship look like a typical one on the surface? No. You could say they would have a more strong q-platonic coded thing going on, which is fine and dandy. They would know what they meant to each other, and that's what matters.
EDIT: Uhh sure Amita would become like Trunks' stepmom but he wouldn't call her one and she wouldn't think of herself as one so. There's nothing of note there.

Hiiii! 💕💕 if you want could you do something like “imagine being in love with both Brienne and Jaime” 🥺
This was such an interesting ask! A shame I took so long to answer haha.
Knowing Brienne first would mean following her through much of her journey, at least when Catlyn tasked her with taking the Kingslayer to King's Landing. If you're a lady, she's exceptionally protective. It helps if you're also a fighter, so she doesn't have to defend you as much, but she won't complain. She swore to protect you as well, and she always will. She won't fault you for not being as strong or capable as her; rather, she appreciates your loyalty and company immensely.
Jaime would be the one who was always teasing you. He's got a mess of a relationship with Cersei, so the idea that he actually liked someone else may get him defensive. He'll tease you like boys do, even when you're both grown - especially if you can fight. You know how he constantly mocks Brienne, yet respects her, and he's so bone-headed about that admiration? Yup.
And of course, you're most likely to end up around both of them during the Roadtrip From Hell. Brienne is even more protective of you because of Jaime, and Jaime is actually jealous of your supposed closeness to her. There starts to be several situations where they each expect you to take a side, especially since they're on literal opposite sides of the war.
(Note if you never knew Jaime but know Brienne, Jaime can't believe he's stuck with two stubborn, annoying women. If you knew Jaime but not Brienne, she tries to reason with you and often scolds Jaime for not looking after you well enough).
And just like Jaime and Brienne are pretty damn oblivious to their feelings for each other, they're oblivious to how they feel about you... except.
Brienne absolutely giving Jaime a talking to about being "proper" with you (regardless if you're a lady or not), watching his tongue around you, getting flustered and angry when he talks about your looks or virtue ...
and Jaime constantly bugging Brienne to let you have fun for once, always trying to annoy you and get your attention, being surprisingly gentle with you (only to do something asshole-y an hour later), lowkey making sure you're eating and sleeping enough...
Yes, they're both hopeless. This is even more ridiculous if they like each other in addition to you. You might actually have the only braincell in this trio.
Brienne would be the one to realize you and Jaime's feelings first, and she'd be willing to "step aside", even if it hurts. She doesn't believe for a second that you or Jaime would pick her. On the other hand, Jaime selfishly wants you both for himself (ha) but he's certainly in denial about it. Whenever you and Brienne are being sweet and affectionate to each other, he gets both a powerful yearning and jealousy.
(Seriously, you will have to be the braincell until everyone is on the same page).
You'd likely be the glue who helps them realize that they're a good team and they care for each other, and they have more ideals in common than they think!
They're both also very protective - again, it doesn't matter if you're a capable fighter. Does not matter. If you're upset or threatened, you have two incredibly talented knights right at your side, glaring the person down and daring them to say something (yes, even after Jaime loses his hand. He don't care). You also bring out different sides of them. You get to see Jaime's more vulnerable and softer side, and you get all of Brienne's affection and love she's always wanted to give but no one wanted to have. You're absolutely spoiled and cared for!

This is only my second attempt at writing an imagine/headcanons.
Also, I can concur with what I see a lot of people complaining about: writing on mobile, sucks.
***Spoilers mainly for Felix's route, just for Rime's part of the post. Small spoilers though, nothing crazy.
Life is great. The LoS has been defeated and Astraea is safe. MC has decided to stay in Astraea to be with their LI of choice and not return to earth. They've officially been in Astraea for over a year. Life is good.
Until MC gets amnesia. Either from an accidental spell or a blow to the head. They've lost all of their memories of Astraea, their adventures, and their loved ones. The last thing they remember is the convention before they were ripped from away from earth, and even then the details are foggy.
Felix is a total wreck. He and MC were practically inseparable. If you saw Felix somewhere, MC was probably just a few feet away, and vice versa. They were never apart, and they liked it that way. So for Felix, to go from always having MC at his side to them being strangers... it was very hard for him.
It was almost like the whole Rime situation again, just in a different manner. It takes a toll on his mental health.
Felix works nonstop, searching for a spell to recover MC's memories, and even begs his father for help. But to no avail, MC's memories are gone. They don't even remember their first time meeting Felix.
Felix soon accepts that his only option is to take care of MC and let their relationship come again naturally. They were rather close, after all. It will happen... it has to.
But Felix cannot silence the nagging thought in the back of his head, his insecurities telling him "it was a miracle that they fell for you the first time..."
Felix doesn't try to force the memories, nor does he let them affect the current dynamic between him and MC. But one day they were in the study, reading together on the couch, and MC drifted off to sleep on Felix's shoulder. It took everything in him not cry, because they used to do that all the time. The faint familiarity of it hurt Felix, because it only reminded him of the memories lost.
Despite the trauma and turmoil Felix had to face regarding MC's amnesiac state, he never gave up on them. Not once. And every tear, every sleepless night, every struggle was worth it when MC shyly took hold of Felix's hand during a walk. In that moment, he knew everything was going to be okay.
Anisa tries to put on a brave face. Of course on the inside she feels like her heart has been torn out. She and MC were about as a close as two people can get, they were friends, and then partners. Now they're strangers- at least, they are to MC.
After being advised to not try and force memories back, Anisa does her best to keep things as casual as possible. But it's so hard for her to not take MC's hand when they're walking through the town. And she catches herself staring off at MC with a lovesick expression more often than she'd care to admit.
Despite the internal struggles, Anisa is probably the one who would handle the situation the best. Don't get me wrong, she struggles immensely, and there are definitely tears. But she keeps a positive attitude, knowing that MC is still the same person that fell in love with her, and she still loves them immensely.
Her mother does her best to help. And by that, I mean she subtly tries to play matchmaker in an attempt to set MC and Anisa up (again). It's quite comedic, MC walking into a definitely not romantic dinner with candles and a violinist and flowers and Anisa standing there like "I didn't do this I swear."
It was hard for Anisa to open up to MC the first time, she's got demons she feels like she needs to hide. But she feels relief when she remembers that MC never judged her before, so they wouldn't judge her now.
It takes time, but they grow to be quite close again. Anisa's patience pays off the day MC turns to her and says, "I think I'm in love with you."
Sage takes it the the worst, no doubt there. He stayed closed off for years, fighting to keep every little skeleton in his closet hidden. Never opening up, never revealing his secrets or speaking of his past. MC fought so hard to gain Sage's trust, to get him to let them in. And all for nothing... they're gone now.
Sage is fully aware it's still the MC he fell for. It's them... but it's also not.
He will never forget the pain he felt when he went to embrace MC that horrid day and they looked at him with a confused expression before asking who he was.
He spent the next few days under the impression this was just a cruel, cruel joke being played on him. After he realized it wasn't a joke, he convinced himself it was a nightmare. A horrible nightmare.
He avoids MC. It hurts far too much. Sage makes an excuse to leave the room every time they come in, and he stays out on missions for longer periods of time.
Tulsa, Anisa, Felix, even Rime all have to keep Sage from drinking himself to death.
Sage comes to his senses one day when MC grabs his wrist to stop him from leaving the room, asking "why do you hate me so much?"
After that, Sage sticks around and basically becomes MC's bodyguard. He doesn't leave their side and becomes very protective over them. He doesn't try and force memories back, but unlike Anisa and Felix he does spend a lot of time telling MC about the time they spent together with him- just leaving out any romantic aspects (and also overhyping himself in the stories).
He finally works up the courage to ask MC out one night. "Like on an actual date?... you, Sage, wanna go out with me???"
The date went very well, and Sage felt from that point that things for him and MC were going to be okay.
Rime is of course, very worried and somewhat distraught. Just last week, MC had told Rime that they loved him, and now they look at him like a stranger. He doesn't know what to do.
However, if there's one thing Rime knows how to do, it's to do what he can with the situation he's faced with. And so, he takes this as an opportunity for a new start with MC. They don't remember his attempts to kill them, so that's a good thing, right?
He's surprisingly soft with MC. Not that he didn't have his moments before, but now more than ever he's just super gentle and sweet.
Trust me, he still teases the hell out of them and bullies them (lovingly). But it kind of gives the others whiplash, because they're used to Rime being all, you know, stabby. And now he's over here patting MC's head... what the hell?
Rime does his best to make sure MC doesn't find out about their past encounters, and begs Felix, Anisa and and Sage to keep quiet about it. And they do, deciding that if Rime wants to tell MC later on, he will.
From the moment they wake up without their memories, Rime is by their side. He spends every waking moment with them and they're hardly apart. MC doesn't mind, because Rime has been so helpful and kind since they woke up in the strange new world. Rime isn't possessive by any means, nor does he keep MC under lock and key. He's just very protective. "They could hardly defend themselves before... what do you think is going to happen if they are faced with danger now?"
He takes his time teaching MC magic and how to use the Astrolab (because Felix never did) and he's a surprisingly patient teacher. Very encouraging, corrects any mistakes but isn't an ass about it. However, does tease MC whenever the opportunity arises. "If you hadn't been so busy staring at me, dear, then you may have heard what I just told you to do."
MC's feelings return gradually, even if their original memories don't. Nothing needs to be spoken between MC and Rime though... they both know. And that's all they need.

do you think mehmed could be the one that brought ezel back from the dead because he was like "well if laia is not staying in Istanbul for me, she might stay for him"
Ohh good thinking! I hadn't thought of Mehmed being involved. There is that line in S4 E3 about the elements being unable to shake him, and back in S2 Ilinca made reference to the ability to alter the threads of fate/affect the elements only being possible by someone with almost unimaginable power. And we haven't seen much of Mehmed's powers yet, but I suspect they're immense. Guess we're about to in S4 E7 😂
But at the same time, would he necessarily want Hasan to return? Assuming he knew Lale would eventually be reincarnated, would he want a potential rival? Murad probably mentioned that Hasan wanted to marry Lale, she'd broken the law to paint his portrait, she wore the tiara Hasan commissioned for years, and she visited his tomb frequently. I think Mehmed would be more determined to win Lale for himself the second time around. (In much the same way Vlad is pretty damn frosty to Leo in S1 even though he's the reincarnation of his beloved friend, because he's so focused on winning Laia's affections.)
There's also this weirdness:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm assuming this is a reference to Murad having another son before he dies, because the historic Mehmed had an infant brother when he ascended the throne. But, I suppose it could also be a reference to Hasan's return as Ezel 🤔 In which case it's another reason Mehmed wouldn't want any of his long dead brothers back. (Or potentially one of Mehmed's other ghost brothers is going to do something bad in the Ottoman timeline.)
So if Mehmed didn't orchestrate Hasan's return, either Hasan's soul always had the potential to eventually be reincarnated (because he's an azure/lion/eagle) or someone else powerful enough to rewrite the threads of fate had a hand in it. There are a few candidates (Mephis when he has access to Aditum Procul's power, Septentrion, who I trust as far as I could roll him, No.44 if he and Mephis aren't one and the same). But why? I hope they're not trying to manipulate Ezel into working against Laia 😭
This exchange suggests that there's something Ezel can't remember that has the potential to be *really* bad, and possibly linked to the reason he returned?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Initially I assumed he just meant he'd forgotten being Hasan/loving Lale, but reading it again it feels much more ominous. Unless he's also forgotten being an azure...
Honestly I'm confused 😂
