You can make an argument that any big three kid is the oldest, except for Jason.
Like, biologically, Percy has aged the most, he’s physically 17, which is more than any of the rest of them has reached
Thalia has mentally aged/matured the most, even if she stopped biologically aging at 15 years and 364 days, and should chronologically be in her 20s but spent some time as a tree where she aged slower.
Chronologically, Hazel was born the longest time from the present day, but she also died, and was in the underworld for decades before being resurrected, so that time didn’t really count for her, and she’s physically like 14.
Nico has been alive for the most time, but for 70 years he was in a place where he couldn’t physically age. He’s like…15 now and is aging normally, but has been alive since world war 2.
And then there’s Jason. Who had no wacky time shenanigans and died and didn’t come back. (Yet) honestly, and outlier who should not have been counted

You just gave me brand new demons because honest to god I never considered how deeply Zora longevity (specifically Miphas) affects the way they understand the world and the people in it who have so much shorter live spans.
I will be thinking about this forever now thank you
yes yes yesss!! i think looking at mipha through the lens of zora longevity adds a lot of nuance to her character that's hard to pick up on otherwise. one of the most interesting things about her is the disconnect between her mental and physical age. I place her at around 14-16 in human years, but physically around 70-80 years old. (calculation went into that estimate i promise im not just making up numbers.) and you can sort of see that disconnect in the way that she's treated by people of other races vs the zora. The zora view her as a very young girl who wasn't ready to take on something as big as a divine beast. in the champion's ballad quest we see dorephan outright state that he feels mipha is too young and inexperienced to take on that responsibility, and after her death she's generally seen as the poor young princess, gone too soon. But when she interacts with other races, she's almost always treated as an equal or a senior to adult members of those races. and that makes sense, from the perspective of those other races. if you met someone who was eighty years old, regardless of how they looked, you'd likely instinctively treat them as a senior, especially if you're young by your own species' standards as well. and it's likely that mipha's age DOES show when she's interacting with other races, but paradoxically the things that would be indicative of seniority to races with less longevity than zora would be indicative of INEXPERIENCE to zora. for example she might have some outdated speech patterns from 50 or so years ago, which to a hylian would likely be outside of their own lifetime, but to a zora it would be like. "why the hell are you using that newfangled slang. back in my day we talked like it was 200 BC." you know. so this leads to her being caught between perceptions of herself. and neither of those perceptions is necessarily WRONG. she has been alive for almost twice the amount of time as any of her non-zora friends. but she is also a very young teenager still growing into herself by the standards of her own race. the internal struggle must've been INSANE.

Back when I was teaching Japanese college students, I remember escorting some of my students back to their dorms from a burger place one of the other mentors invited them to late at night (he ditched them there and I was mad about it because they didn't know the area well).
While we were walking back, I was expressing my disappointment and saying it was inappropriate for that mentor to invite them out without walking them back since it was late at night and it wasn't a great part of the city, but after a few minutes I apologized to them saying something like "I know most of you are grown adults and I don't want you to think I see you as helpless children, but I do want to make sure you get home safely," and one of them said in the kindest most sincere voice, "We know. You are like a Japanese mother."
And I was just like *voice cracking* "Cool" and walked them the rest of the way back to their dorms, then walked to the bus with my face buried in my hands.

ok so today i had my first thai class after a really long christmas break and somehow andreas gabalier (an austrian folk singer) and his music came up. and i don't remember what exactly my teacher said but he made a comment along the lines of "andreas gabalier is considered a standard good looking dude here in austria, right?" (my teacher is from thailand, so he wasn't sure about austrian people's preferences)
and his question was met with complete silence, because the thing is... our class consists of 3 middle aged guys plus one more guy in his mid 30s. and then there's me. the only girl
and since no one answered the question about andreas gabalier's looks, our teacher then addressed me directly and following conversation ensued:
teacher: "[airenyah]?"
me: (feeling slightly shy and embarrassed) ".....i don't know what andreas gabalier looks like 🙈"
everyone: (breaks out in laughter)
middle-aged classmate: (highly amused) "i suspect he's not your type..." (me: "oh 🙈") "you're not missing out on anything :D"
i really like my teacher but god, let me live. don't put me on the spot like that 😩😩😩

thinkin about that thing i read a long time ago that said Ignis & Gladio were actually supposed to be 32 & 33 at the beginning of FFXV but they changed it at the last minute (no idea if this is really true or not...but it makes sense because -gestures vaguely at everything-)
anyway, that would have made Aranea 2-3 years younger than them, which is hilarious to me for some reason
