Horror movie headcanons!

(Inspired by @nutnbreaddo ‘s art piece!)

- nazo and surge love horror movies. If Nazo is not able to actively be violent in the eye of the public, he’d probably watch a horror movie in place of that. Nazo’s favorites have to be the scream saga due to the killer’s strategy. While surge probably likes the newest scream movie with Jenna Ortega!

- seelkadoom and shadow are neutral about horror movies. Mainly because most of the modern ones have too much blood and too many jumpscares. However, seelkadoom does actually like the nun. He likes the cinematic aspect and how the character designs are! While shadow is a fan of the classic Friday the 13th saga!

- aeon, sonic, and rouge aren’t the BIGGEST fans of them, they like more drama themed films like mean girls, heathers, . However, Sonic does like the FNAF movie. While rouge and aeon like some other blumhouse movies, like M3gan or Freaky, the love witch, and Jenifer’s body. Rouge especially likes the theme for Freaky, it’s a staple for her Halloween playlist!

- Amy doesn’t watch horror movies often, she’s more of a romance girly. However, her biggest exception is the love witch. It’s funny, witty, yet has the perfect amount of horror that she can enjoy! It’s also a life lesson to all witches to not use love spells when you’re not certain on your love life!

- Iris cannot watch horror movies to save the life of her. She ended up watching the conjuring with some of her fellow performers one late night, and she ended up having a panic attack in the first two jumpscares. Nazo and seelkadoom are aware of this, since seelk was called backstage to help her calm down. Since then she’s always had anxiety about anything related to horror. She’s gotten better about it, but she still gets the shit scared out of her when her friends try to prank her.

- cream really doesn’t know much of horror yet, but vanilla is actually a fan of Elvira, mistress of the dark, and little shop of horrors. It’s not that scary in today’s standards, but it’s still pretty good!

- mephiles doesn’t really enjoy horror movies much, but does enjoy the conjuring saga and little shop of horrors. They’re both pretty good, and he does enjoy the more supernatural horror than serial killer horror. That doesn’t mean he listens to stories of popular serial killers. He wants to pick apart their brains, everything about them. To find out what exactly made them snap the way they did, if there’s a reason at all.

- iblis is a more action fan than anything! -v-||

- scourge is actually quite scared of horror movies, but he likes beetle juice for some reason. Even he has no idea as to why, but he does. And he’s very excited for the new beetle juice movie coming out soon!

in my head i have a sonic band au where sonic turns 18, except he's a chao which means after he comes out of the cocoon he's gonna be green for a bit. so as the reasonable person he is, he drops his sonic the hedgehog identity for a while and decides to do someone villain redeeming and some personal indulgence, and creates a band with some evil girlies who want him dead. featuring green-teal sonic as lead guitarest and singer, neo metal sonic on keytar and as a backup singer, mephiles playing the bass, and infinite as a drummer. gadget is there for good person support and as infinite's caretaker after the phantom ruby took away his face and eyes, and iblis owns the car they all use. anyway one day the band pisses sonic off mildly so he decides to hire team dark as body guards, including shadow to throw off everyone's vibe instantly, and team dark does not know that the band is sonic and his villains and what they walked into,, they recognise gadget tho so they trust them

What are your thoughts on the individual 4kids actors for the characters and do you think in retrospect the extreme backlash they got back in the day were justified?

Jason Griffith i.e Sonic, Shadow and Jet.

OK OK, so Jason may have had a rocky start in early Sonic X and Shadow but with time, I really think that he grew into a really good Sonic. Especially in Unleashed and the Storybook games. I personally felt such a….”connection” to his good Sonic voice that it’s still the voice I “hear” when I read Sonic speech in fanfic. And you have to give the guy at least a little credit regarding Unleashed as he had strep throat at the time he voiced Werehog.

As for Shadow? Sometimes he sounds a little too much like “gruff Sonic” but overall the voice was good at encapsulating Shadow’s solemn and serious personality. Not quite on Yusa’s level but not bad.

Jet? Obnoxious. It was sorta a factor in my dislike of the character even though that’s a fairly silly reason for dislike ^^;;

Nice but suffers from “same-voice syndrome” i.e Ms Ortiz is fairly bad at distinguishing her voice between roles.

Same-voice syndrome again. That said, not bad at all. Gruff and well-acted in general.

Kathleen Delaney i.e Rouge.

WAY too old-sounding. And lacks the feminine….what’s the word for it…tone that I expect from Rouge that Lani Minella and Karen Strassman nailed.

Mike Pollock i.e Dr Eggman, Ella.

Excellence. Truly. A very worthy successor to the late Deem Bristow. Bombastic and hysterical whilst being devious and evil when required.

I was always weirded-out by the Ella voice though :S

Amy shouted back, doing the same with her hammer, unaware that Mephiles was right behind her now.

in my lore, he genuinely has no fucked up or evil intentions with her, he is genuinely head over heels for her. (for context, she’s an archeologist, and knows a lot about Solaris. no one else has shown an interest in him for being a god, he’s just been a problem)

speaking of problems though, dinah is totally oblivious. she does NOT realize he is in love with her. she doesn’t like him like that, so it doesn’t even cross her mind.

so uh. maybe he does that fucked up goo fuse with her. and. a part gets left behind. TO BE ROMANTIC, LIKE LEAVING A LOC OF HAIR RIGHT???

wrong. we’re using venom logic here. the virgin somehow knocked up the angry spaniel who does not want to have kids.

worst part? it’s a fucking demigod too. they’re a HELLHOUND (shapeshifter, but because dinah = dogy you know how it is)

they grow up with renesmee aging logic and are just sorta out in the world now doing whatever they want, but yeah. mephiles babydaddy moment

(for the record she wants to kill him for this. mephiles is scared of dinah while simultaneously mourns “what could have been” despite there never being a “could” in any respects. she’s the one that got away)
