I’m listening to this otgw inspired folk and instrumental playlist as I edit vids and it’s amazing. So so beautiful and eerie and relaxing. Some of the songs sound like they could be straight from the show (other than the ones that literally are) and others give me folksy eerie hozier vibes. Definitely check it out, it’s everything I want from an autumn playlist.
Not Taylor releasing ‘safe and sound’ for the The Hunger Games back in 2012 and now Olivia releasing ‘can’t catch me now’ for the hunger games prequel in 2023.

i played minecraft on peaceful a lot as a kid which i think shaped my development; with monsters on, there's a present danger and something to be done about it. On peaceful? The world is finite and you are alone. The immaculate sense of dread (and loneliness) has stuck with me
here i am still lonely with the souvenirs / i would kill for some company / temporarily / i did once have a lover, only kept his hands / they can dance and play the songs for me / play until i sleep
thought it'd be fun to do this template that's been going around for the haunting's spotify profile <3 the playlist is unfortunately still in the works bc i suck at making them but these are the vibes, they're a mostly an indie folk and pop, and sometimes art pop band, i took a lot of inspo from aurora. i'll put the album covers under the cut so you can appreciate them better <3 i edited a bunch of free-to-use pics and overlays to get what i wanted // @infamous-if
I love Yellowjackets’ dual use of “The Killing Moon”. It speaks so beautifully to that feeling of hearing a song when you’re young, having it mean something, having it resonate in your chest—and then hearing it again as an adult, and realizing it’s just not the same. It still means something, it still lands, but you’re different now, and so the song, too, shifts. To have two different versions, two uses of one song, really capitalizes on that feeling of growing up and having music specifically grow with you.
Just saw the game “Manny’s” by Bonesaw577. It’s so cinematic OML. The endings were so good, they caught me off guard. Tyler was such a real piece of art
yeah to keep on spiraling outside of my previous post's tags wtf ALTTP??? I had forgotten how oppressive the world is, but the more details I remember and the more I'm like.... honestly, no wonder I have uhhh this kind of approach to tloz given it was my very first zelda game and I have extremely formative memories trying (and mostly failing) to play through its story, but wow yeah, there was a point where the series really bordered on being that very specific brand of 80s dark fantasy it's not just me being an edgelord just because huh
